WHO ARE WE ???
A group of CC ladies who are Trying To Concieve (TTC) We would love to hear about what you are going through. We understand the trials, tribulations and many doctor appointments that you are facing on this journey into parenthood. No question is too "stupid", asked too often, nor is any "vent" that you may have unnecessary.
This thread may move quickly at times, but don't be afraid to jump in on the last page. You don't have to read through the entire thread before you join us. The first few posts on page one are some introductory info to help everyone out as well as provide many useful links to other sites with in depth information on certain topics. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over to the most recent "Seeing What happens" thread. This thread starts at the beginning of each new month.

Good job Chelsea! I was coming here to set this up and was surprised to see one already! Thanks!:D
Good luck to everyone!
I am currently on CD8. I have been so tired I told DH that if I was in the 2ww I would probably swear I was pg. :o It has been a struggle to stay awake for bd'ing. I am going to have to work on that more in the next few days so we can get pg!

Delsol good luck catching the egg!!
Sunshine How are you feeling? Hope all is well!
Tenny sorry about AF, I was really hoping this was your month
Looty hope you don't mind I started it, I was thinking you were one of the no weekend girls. Hope you can stay awake next week to catch the egg!
Well, nothing new for me, the spotting I had yesterday moring was just a one time tiny thing, hasn't happened since, it was right after DTD so maybe it was just from irritation or something like that. Anyone know if I can use some progesterone cream for a few days and then stop if that will bring on AF? I know some women use it up until they are sure they aren't pg and then stop and AF usually arrives pretty quick. Right now I can't get into any dr until the first part of November, that will put me way over a 100 day cycle and I just can't take that.

Thanks chelsa for starting the new thread!
tenny~ Sorry about AF.
looty~ Know the feeling. Last night I fell asleep at 8:30 on the couch, but at least it was only about a half hour nap before DH woke me up.
chelsa~ Sorry, I can't help with that. :o
Me~ CD24. Thank goodness I'm not having any of those crazy FPS that I had last cycle that drove me crazy. DTD the dance last night, although I'm suspecting that we are getting out of the range of where its going to do any good since *knocking on wood* my cycles of been regular 32 days. My BB started aching a little yesterday and i'm pretty uncomfortable today. Not sure on O day, haven't charted for about 4-5 months, but before it was around CD16-17, but there is always the chance of being late.

Yup AF showed yesterday, barely. I guess that's the norm after getting off BCP, right? Not much of a lining built up? It took 30 days, not bad. My usual cycle is 29.
Not charting yet, It's gonna be a crazy this month because we're moving.
Hi All! Wow it's already October.... good luck to all!
I'm 12 or 10 DPO, depending on when I actually O'ed! I thought I was one day.. and then 2 days later I got much more sharp O pain... so... we covered all our bases. I continue to make up PG symptoms in my head.... my bb's were sore this morning and feeling much fuller... that hasn't happened since being on the pill 2 years ago. Yesterday I had weird AF like cramping.... never happens unless AF shows up within an hour. Friday night I was really dizzy.... and I've been a complete biotch for the last few days! That's usually a sign AF is showing up in a week (the mood, not the dizzy). Today I'm sore and feel like I have a hernia I've been lifting tubs of winter clothes all day.... probably not the best thing!
So.. who knows.... I plan on testing Monday the 9th.... I've got a big wedding weekend and would rather wait to find out for sure until that is over (I will be a nervous wreck at the beginning!). It sounds late, but for me my cycles vary btw 28-34 days... so we'll just be patient! We'll see if that actually happens! ;)

looty I hear ya girl. I honestly have to make an effort to BD. Since for some reason we can't do it n the early evening right after dinner, lol. Wouldn't that be easier than at 10:30 at night??
DelSol hope you catch that eggie!!
Tenny & Bibay626 sorry to hear about AF. But, the fun part is trying, right?? (my grandmother told me that one cycle when I was particularly upsef about getting AF!!! I was totally embaressed!!!)
Chelsea524 I wish I could tell you what worked for me. I just watched the spotting and made sure that I had enough fluids and just let the cycle take it's course. When AF FINALLY arrived, I thought it was just spotting again. But by the next next day I was bleeding pretty heavy and that lasted for almost a week. PM me and there are a couple things I can recommend that might help.
ME I'm CD 28 and really not sure where I am in my cycle as far as Oing is concerned. The OPKs didn't exactly work this time around. I'm going to start temping again next cycle (assuming I'm not PG, which actually would be a good thing right now).

Sorry Bibay and Tenny :(
Thanks everyone for the well wishes. The values don't seem too bad so hopefully it won't be a big problem.
No idea what CD I am on and am basically throwing this cycle out. I have been very sick (fever of 102) so can't tell anything with temps. I am hoping AF will come early so we can get this done and move on to cycle 6.

Tenny and Bibay - Sorry about AF.
Looty - Good luck BDing! Hope you can manage to stay awake.
DelSol - Good luck catching the egg.
Chelsea - Earlier this cycle I tried progesterone cream because I thought I had O'd turns out I never did (at that point) and I just had some very light spotting but AF never came after I stopped using the cream. I think you need a stronger form of progesterone in order to bring on AF.
pride&prejudice - Hope you managed to catch the egg.
Jen - Good luck in your 2ww. I think there will be a lot of us testing around the time you plan on testing.
Mel - Hope you feel better soon.
Me - I'm 7 DPO today. This is probably all FPS but here's what I've been experiencing. My boobs are definitely fuller than they usually are. Nipples are super sensitive. Not as bad as they were right after O, but still different. I have noticed them a tad darker too. I actually have felt sick to my stomach. Haven't thrown up or anything but I soooo don't feel like eating. Everything grosses me out. But I know I have to eat so I'm forcing myself (not fun). I am feeling a tad tired. I was cleaning our bathroom yesterday and by the time I got to cleaning our shower I was exhausted. Very odd for me. My UTI is finally under control. I took my last antibiotic yesterday. Oh and this is probably NOTHING but when I was driving to work today I had a VERY sharp pain on my lower right side. Felt similar to an O pain, was very quick. I hope October is a lucky month for all of us.

Sorry about AF looty she came for me on Sat too:(
So I started charting this morning and I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with 2 threads...the charting thread moves *way* quick, so please forgive me if SO's are rare!
Me: CD3 and just waiting...blah!

Hope this month is it for you:D
Sorry AF showed Bibay626 & ceaserbride:(

chelsea ~ thanks, I'm going to work my hardest to catch that egg & DH is on board. I'm not knowledgeable about the progesterone cream.
pride ~ I'm glad you don't have the FPS this time, they can drive you batty.
ceaserbride & bibay626 ~ sorry about AF.
Jen ~ good luck testing next week. fingers crossed for you.
Charliezangel ~ thanks, I'm trying my hardest to catch that egg.
Mel ~ I hope you feel better.
Sammy ~ thanks, good luck to you!
me ~ CD 12. DH was so funny last night, I told him we didn't have to DTD tomorrow (meaning tonight) and he was like why isn't it time and I said it was but the crucial days are Tuesday - Thursday and maybe Friday. Friday is all dependent on my O and when my temps rise. I told him that I knew he wouldn't be able to DTD for 6 days in a row because initially I thought we should start tomorrow (meaning today) and was like yeah you're right. So he's resting today and will be onboard tomorrow and the rest of the days.

Yep, AF showed up on Saturday night. I got some warning because my temp had dropped on Saturday morning so I told DH what was coming. So we made our plan of attack as far as BD schedule and we are determined to catch that egg this month:D . What's really exciting is my friend is doing an IUI (turkey baster method ;) ) this month, so hopefully we both get pg at the same time!
Here's to a great October with lots of BFPs ladies!!!!

Delsol: I picture your husband sprawled out on the couch resting up for the big game.;)
Lanapoo: Boo for AF but that's exciting that you and your friend could get BFP's at the same time.
I've been very crampy lately. Quick questions to all you smart ladies....how soon can I test. I am CD 27 I believe I o'ed around CD 14.

Lana - Sorry about AF. Glad you guys have a strategy for this cycle. I hope it works for you guys.
KrissyCat7 - If you O'd when you think you did you are about 13 DPO. You can test now if you'd like, its definitely not too soon.
Anyone have any good ideas of things to do to keep you busy during your 2WW??? I'm driving myself crazy over here!!!! I've convinced myself I'm testing on Sunday because I can't stand the wait. LOL
Tenny
10-02-2006, 11:40 AM
KrissyCat7 So that makes you about 13 DPO. I'm an early tester so I would have tested already, but I think the standard is 14 DPO.
Lanapoo Sorry about AF. I got it on Saturday too! I hope this is your month that way you can be pg with your friend!
DelSol You DH cracks me up! He better be saving up his energy!
ceaserbride Good luck with the charting!
FSUSammy Sounds like some really good FPS! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!
melandtim Hope you feel better soon!!
charliezangel That sucks that the OPKs didn't work this month. I hope you get an BFP anyway!
jen Good luck in your TWW. Wow, I would never be able to wait that long to test. You are much stronger then I am!
Bibay626 Sorry about AF. Good luck next cycle!
pride&prejudice Hope you caught the egg!
Chelsea Not sure about the cream. So sorry you can't into the DR until Nov....that is crazy!
Sunshine Thanks!
Well CD3 for me. I ordered some pg tests and some OPKs this weekend from early-pregnancy-tests.com I also got a thermometer, but not sure if I want to start charting. I guess I should decide soon. I have an appointment with a new OB/GYN next week. I LOVE my current Dr, but he is so far away (45 min with no traffic). It wasn't that big of a deal during my last pg, but this time I have a toddle to think about. So I'm meeting with a new Dr. so see if I like them and maybe switch over to them. I have to come up with a list of questions to ask. Any ideals?

KrissyCat If you O'd on CD 14 then tomorrow would be 14DPO, I think that would be late enough, good luck whenever you test!!
Lana Sorry about AF, that witch! Hope this next month is it for you guys!
Delsol Today might be a key day for BDing, looks like you O'd on CD 14 last time, sperm can live up to I think 4-5 days so 2 days before O is when I personally would start, but thats just my thoughts
Ceasar sorry about AF, keeping my fingers crossed this cycle will end better
Sammy sounds like you have some very promising FPS, I hope this is it for you, good luck!!
Charliez Thanks, although now I'm thinking if I can get into a new DR then maybe being on a super long cycle will make him want to look into whats causing it
Jen good luck testing!! I hope AF stays away
Nothing new with me, still here, CD 74 I think, cant remember right now

Hi everyone. I am back finally I have a new plan of attack. I went today and got some OPK's. So I am hopin this along with the mucus idea, will help out more this month than usual. If the OPK's work well, I am hoping this will be the month. I know how long my cycle is, so now all I really want to do is pin point my O date. I really don't want to chart because I am totally not that organzied of a girl. I get up and rush because I sleep in to the last minute, and I honselty don't wnat ot have to add one more thing to worry about in the AM. So I am going to try the OPK"s this month, and see how well those work for me!!!
KrissyCat7
10-02-2006, 12:39 PM
Dancn: I hope the OPK's work for you.
Tenny: Good luck with the new doctor.
FSUSammy: I have no good ideas. I am new to ttc and its driving me batty.
FSU Sammy - Ways to keep busy during 2WW --- re-org the house? ;) Closets, drawers.... at least in my house it could take a lot longer than 2 weeks! I don't think the 2WW is what is hard for me anymore, as much as the constant over-analyzing of the bodily "noises". I've felt AF coming all day today.... or am I PG? Or is it AF? Or am I PG?

Just checking in really quick.
I am getting some watery CM now so I am starting in on the bd fest. I have been doing okay on staying up late enough and I hope I can continue. I think whoeever said that evening bding is easier is right. We do that sometimes but sometimes I just have too much other stuff going on to get it in earlier.
Good luck to those who are testing soon. I hope we get some BFPs to start this motnh off right.

Yup AF showed yesterday, barely. I guess that's the norm after getting off BCP, right? Not much of a lining built up? It took 30 days, not bad. My usual cycle is 29.
Ugh, I spoke too soon about the "barely" part. I forgot how heavy AF can be w/o being on BCP! Hopefully, it won't be too often :D
Thanks for the kind words, ladies! :)

bibay626~ Sorry AF showed. Yeah, I forgot how bad it could be too not on the pill.
jen~ We'll be testing on the dame day, as far as I know now!
charliezangel~ Good luck though, I hope it worked this time around.
melandtim~ Hope you get better! That fever cannot be fun.
DelSol~ Good luck in catching the egg!
FSUSammy~ Good luck, and I hope too that we have more BFPs this month. Org. the house is a good thing to keep busy. I'm not having too much problems with this 2ww, since work has me running around like crazy.
ceasar~ Sorry about AF.
Tenny~ Sorry, I'm horrible at coming up with the questions too! Cannot help you there. I always ask my secretary who used to work in a OBGYN office. :o
dancn226~ Hope the OPKs work for you.

AF arrived. Although, a bit disappointed I am happy to know that my cycles are regular. I was very worried that it was going to be months before I'd get my first period off of BC. So here's to BDing later this month.
Good luck to the rest of you this month!

My first AF off BCP I thought i was going to die. Seriously, it was the worst period since I got it when I was 12. I was in bed for a full 24 hours. I couldn't move. I hope to god that you and krissy do NOT experience this and just have some heavy flow.

Luckily my periods right after getting off the bcp weren't horrible but I will say that overall they are heavier and the cramps are worse. I hope the next few days of AF let up on you, Krissy and Bibay.
I am in the same boat, prideandprejudice. I can't post during the day and don't have a whole lot of time at night either so I am having a hard time keeping up on the shout outs. At least you did those!

Bibay & Ceaser Sorry about AF....hope this is your month for successful BD'ing though!
looty Have fun!! Hope you guys time it right this month to get the BFP!
KrissyCat Last month was my first AF since coming off of BC and I was pretty miserable there for a few days. The cramping was the worst I've had in probably close to 12 years. Hope it gets better for you soon.
Charliez When are you planning on testing? Hope you get the BFP!!
FSUSammy Well, you could hit the gym every day! Thats what I plan on doing from here on out. Of course, then I spend my 45 minutes on the elliptical pondering whether or not I'm pregnant. :o Anyway, hope it goes fast for you. I think you and I are right around the same time as far as O date, so we may be testing together. :D
dancn Hope the OPK'S work better for you this month. I haven't decided if I want to go that route or not yet. It just seems like a big pain in the you know what, but I guess I'll consider it if we aren't successful on our own pretty soon.
pride&prejudice You are going to be testing pretty soon, aren't you?
Chelsea Jeez, I sure hope your cycle works itself out soon. :(
ME: CD 22. Just waiting to see if we were successful or not. I'm really not sure, I could have sworn I O'd early last week, but then I continued to get EWCM for at least four more days. So I don't know if I was off on my O date or not. If I was, then I'm probably looking at BFN because DH and I did not BD again last week after Tuesday. Things just got too hectic and we ran nonstop the whole time. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed but if not; then on to the next cycle. I'll probably go ahead and buy a BBT for the next cycle so I can start temping at least.
FSUSammy
10-03-2006, 07:45 AM
Kym - Are you planning on testing this weekend?
Me - 8 DPO today. Have a bad headache today. My temp went down slightly today, I hope it goes back up tomorrow or else this cycle is definitely doomed. Who knows maybe just maybe that's an implantation dip. I guess we'll see tomorrow. I'm trying so hard to convince myself that I'm not PG that way I don't drive myself crazy until Sunday. Yesterday I was eating throughout the day even though I'm soooo not turned on by food right now. I'll get that overwhelming urge to EAT and I do LOL! I also noticed that I'm getting tired a lot, we'll see if that happens again today. Nips are still pretty dark in my opinion and sensitive to the touch.

FSUSammy: Well, if I O'd last Tuesday, then I guess that makes me 7 or 8 DPO?? I have no idea when it would be okay to test without wasting an HPT? Today is only the 3rd and last month AF came on the 12th. I was thinking about waiting till the date AF would be due. But this is my first month TTC and I really don't have a clue when I should start testing.

Chelsea ~ I thought about it but my head was pounding last night.
dancn226 ~ good luck with the OPKs. that will be my next step if we aren't successful with this cycle.
looty ~ yay for starting the BDfest.
bibay & krissy ~ I have to agree with looty. AF right after BCPs wasn't too horrible but overall they are now heavier and the cramps are worse.
jimmysgirl ~ good luck, I hope you were able to catch the egg. I would test either 14DPO or when AF is late.
me ~ CD13 BDing fest is starting up again. :D I think the resting did DH good, he was in a good mood when I came home yesterday. He was sitting on our steps and I pull in and he starts doing his "sexy" dance. We have a joke between us about the Justin Timberlake song so I yell out to him "oh are you bringing sexy back?" He starts laughing and I started laughing. Then I realized our neighbors windows were open, we live in a townhouse so I'm sure they may have heard something. :o
I even thought about bring up doing the BD last night but right my head was killing me and it was making me sick. Oh well, we have today - Thursday/Friday.

looty~ Yeah, that's pretty much it. :o I'm on lunch now and just so need to do something so that it looks like I'm in an extreme hurry so no one bothers me! hehehe
jimmy'sgirl~ Yup. If I wait till AF, then it will be Monday/Tuesday, but I might cave in before then and Test Friday/Saturday. I've been doing so good with this 2ww that it worries me that I'm not paranoid! I was going to say the same as DelSol for Testing
FSUSammy~ Hope those temps go back up!
DelSol~ That's too funny! That's definitely something I don't miss about townhomes!
Chelsa~ Sorry about AF, but good that it came on its own.
Me~ My BBs are killing me. They were yesterday, but today it feels like they are swollen, plus I'm sore from the gym yesterday so its a lovely combination. In the past 2 days, I've noticed I've been waking up 2-3, and last night 4  times to go to the bathroom. Ugh, I am really hating this.

Thanks for telling me that, I wasn't sure if the bathroom stuff even mattered, but it made me wonder when DH asked me this morning if I was ok becuase I got up 4 times last night. That makes me feel sooooo good considering my FPS last cycle. I'm slowly getting used to all the TTC, so sometimes I don't even know if certain things matter. :)

Hello all - no s/o's today because I'm having a lazy day :p except to say that Pride&Prejudice has some very interesting symptoms...hmmmm :D
I can't wait for the BD Fest this month! Our plan of action has changed now that I know what day I ovulate. Since I ovulated on CD12 we are going to make sure to BD on CD9, CD11, CD12, and CD13. DH is all for the plan and wants to get as much 'baby batter' (LOL) in there as possible to increase our chances. How does our 'schedule' sound? Should we add any days?
jimmysgirl424
10-03-2006, 11:54 AM
lanapoo Okay, LOL on the 'baby batter'. I think thats the very first time I've ever heard that particular expression! :D Your BD schedule sounds fine..just make sure you keep an eye on your cycle in case you O later than CD12.
pride&prejudice Hmmmmm.....your symptoms sure sound encouraging to me. The one that stuck out the most is the bathroom thing. Keep us updated!!
FSUSammy So are you going to test this weekend or wait till next week? I think I am going to stretch it till next Tuesday or Wednesday if I can. Tuesday would be CD29 for me. I figure if we were unsuccessful in BD'ing that AF should arrive then or shortly thereafter. I'm very uncertain though because this will only be my second cycle off of BC, so my body may still be regulating itself. I guess time will tell.
FSUSammy
10-03-2006, 12:01 PM
Kym - If AF doesn't show up by Sunday I'll probably test then. I'll be 13 DPO then which is my average luteal phase length. If its a BFN at that point and still no AF on Tuesday then I'll test again. I'm trying to convince myself that I MUST wait until Sunday but part of me wants to tet at 10 DPO for the hell of it. LOL
jimmysgirl424
10-03-2006, 12:03 PM
FSUSammy Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! If you do test early, maybe you should try one of the tests listed at the beginning of this thread that are known for their ability to detect pregnancy earlier. I think one is called Aim or something like that? Good luck! :)
ETA: The HPT I was thinking of is called AimStick.

Lana ~ your schedule is exactly as mine, except I most likely will O on CD14. So my BD schedule looks like CD11, CD13, CD14, CD 15 and then I will probably be able to tell if I O'd on CD14 but I am willing to go to CD16. But I know today is a very key BD night.

Jimmysgirl~I have to tell you, I never though I would be going the OPK route either, but I just figured that i want this bad enough, and there is no sense in walking aroudn pretty much blind to the fact as to when I O, when this is out there. Hellva lot easeir than charting, and what the hell we will see if it works this time. I am sure hoping on it. I did a thread in the pregency section, about who was successful with them, and getting some good answers, so lets hope for the best.
DelSol~I was pretty pissed off last month, so I decided that this is it. I really want to have a summer baby so I don't have to miss any teaching dance, so lets hope that this works, so I can still keep on dancing after if you know what i mean.
Lets see today is CD 13 and the OPK's said nothign today. So its kind of nice because last month I was having a hard time sleeping at night if we didn't DTD because I thought we were missing days, so I am prety happy with this process thus far! To tel you the truth I will be my happiest if it works otu for me!!!!

Thanks Jimmys and Delsol for your opinion on 'the plan'! I'll definitely be sure to use OPK's and charting to figure out when I O this month so that we don't miss any important days.

Lana I guarantee if I tell DH about the 'baby batter' phrase, he'll steal it for his own. LOL! Whats totally funny to me is when I first used the phrase 'baby dancing' with DH, he just looked at me like I had two heads. Now; its his preferred way of referring to sex! Too funny!! :D

dancn226 ~ I was mad last month too, let's hope this is our month.
cross posted with Charting:
My temp jumped up a bit this morning, I hope I didn't O yesterday instead of today, that would be new O day for me. I'm hoping it was because of the restless night I had and when my alarm when off I started searching for my BBT and couldn't find it so I was moving around. I'll see what tomorrow's temp does. Darn it why couldn't I get a good nights rest last night?!?!?! I’m blaming DH on this one since he was the root of my restless night.

Welcome Allison! Hope your stay here is short and sweet.
me - 9 DPO today. My temp went up by .1 today so I feel better that its not heading down. Hopefully it will go even higher. I've seen way too many PG charts where the temps keep going up and up and up, yet might are pretty much level. Is that ok? No new FPS symptoms. Just the same that I've been having lately. My mom INSISTS that I test already but I keep telling her its too soon. I told her I don't want to test and get a BFN only to have to test again in a few days. I just need to hold off a few more days!
Sam
Welcome Allison!
I'm at either 13 or 11 DPO.... had another (my 3rd) dream last night that I was preggo. Had AF like cramping Sunday and Monday but so far no AF.... she should come today if my cycle would like to be 28 days this month. My bb's feel full in the morning, but that's it. I have a cold now.... still planning on holding out until Monday to test.... I only have one test on hand and I don't want to waste it! AF has to show by then!
Baby Batter... that cracks me up! If I hear about DH's "Super Sperm" one more time I'll scream! hehe.... you gotta say it really loud and then flex your arms... oy!
dancn226 - i'm with you on the OPK's.... if this month is a bust I'll be going the OPK route... I coudn't chart if you paid me!

Jen~I am with you on the charting, its not like its a mind thing, its just the fact where Id on't have time to really think about it. If you know what I mean.
So today for me its CD15 took the OPK yesterday came out negitive. DH and i were so tired lastnight, so we didn't do any Bding, but i was okay since i got a negitive. As for today, I will test at lunch like I usually do to see. My luck is that I will get a positive today sincd DH is at work for the whole 24 hours. Anyhow, can somoen tell me, if I get a positive today, does that mean I will O tomorrow, or today, or what, that is the only thing that is confusting to me. Now, my thing is I dont' think is usually o until the 7th, so we will see if I am right or wrong. I am really hoping I am right, and that I o on Sat so I can get the bding on!!!

I love the talk of baby batter and super sprem. I don't have any idea what any of your DH's look like but I can picture them saying these things...especially the super sperm while flexing. Boys are too funny! :D
Welcome Allison! I hope you don't ahve to stick around long. You have been trying a while without coming here to obsess with us. I seriously wonder how other women get through this journey sane, without other ladies to talk to that are going through the same things. Love the name by the way (mine is Alison, so spelled differently but basically the same). I'll add you to the roster.
Delsol~Sorry that you had a restless night. I hope it was just that your DH was snoring and not that he made you mad. Hopefully you didn't O and you still have a chance to catch that egg.
FSUSammy~I am not sure about the temps. As far as I know as long as they stay above the coverline you are fine. I haven't paid close attention though because I have never charted. I hope this is it though!
Jen~I hope that this is it. The dreams are always so real aren't they? I haven't had too many that I was actually pregnant but I have had some that the baby was brnad new. I wanted to believe they were a sign but no cuh luck for me. I hope they are for you though! I hope you get a BFP in the next couple days!
Dancn~If you get a positive OPK it means you are going to O sometime in the next 24-36 or 48 hours. Different brands may be different. I would say if you get a + OPK then try to bd that night and the next two nights/days after that. That should cover you! I hoe it comes on Saturday so you can take full advantage.
I am on CD12. I still got a low reading on the fertility monitor, which isn't surprising. I will probably O anytime from 5 days from today to 10 days from today. This is why the fertility monitor is a good thing for me. I have noticed more CM the last couple months though (maybe because I am paying attention) and I can usually tell from that. I am just hoping that this is our month after getting cleaned out. We have an experiment going on. We'll see how it pans out. :p DH has been excited abotu TTC but lately he has wanted to stop talking about it too much because he says that if we talk about hoping to be pg then the expectation that it will happen will be there and with our track record we will probably get disappointed. Looty - I have to say that I love your avatar. It's too funny!!
Dancn - If you get a positive OPK then that means that you will O anywhere between 12 and 36 hours from that point, so you definitely still have a chance to catch egg.
Jen - You've got me LOL about the Super Sperm. All of our DH's are too funny when it comes to the baby making business.
Welcome Allison!
FSUSammy - Good luck, hope you manage to hold out for a few more days on testing. Bad mom for trying to get you to test so soon :p She must want to be a grandma really bad LOL.
Nothing going on with me:)

Ok ladies. I need your expertise. LOL
When it comes to PG tests is there much of a difference between one that is 20 mIU or 25 mIU? I have two that are 25 mIU at home already but was wondering if I should make the effort to hunt down an AimStick Pregnancy Test since its 20 mIU. Oh and I might have been convinced by a friend of mine to start testing on Friday. LOL

Sorry not many SOs! Welcome Allison! Hope your stay is short and sweet.
FSUSammy~ I hate to say this, but I'm almost feeling better that some one is going through it like me! Can't offer much insight on that, since mine is just a 25 mIU and I'm just going to stick with it.
Me~ Long story short, I've got mixed emotions now. On one hand I'm cranky and my BBs are aching and maybe TMI but my nipples are so sensitive if my bra or T-shirt touches it just feels weird. If this winds up being FPS, I'm going to be so upset. Last night I only got up 2 times for the bathroom, so maybe the other night was afluke. One the other hand, I took a HPT today (got a BFN, of course!) and I'm a little ticked about it. You all know I'm going on a business trip and that was the whole reason that I was debating on whether taking a test with me.
Long story short, because of the nature of the trip, and the fact that arrangements were made today, I had to find out today whether I was. Since I got a BFN, I'm still going. So now, I hope if I do get a BFP while on the trip, nothing goes wrong. Sorry to be rambling like this, but it has just been such a weird day.

pride&prejudice - Thanks for your story. If it weren't for the ladies on this board and on the Charting thread I don't know WHAT I'd do!!!! I'll just stick with my 25 mIU tests for now and if anything test again if I have to. Good luck on your trip and I hope you come back with your BFP.
Tenny
10-04-2006, 06:16 PM
pride&prejudice Sorry about the BFN. How many DPO are you? It still maybe still early! I really hope it is. It sucks that you have to go on this business trip. Is it a trip that you wouldn't go on if you were pg? I really hope you come back from your trip with a BFP!!
FSUSammy I don't there is much of a difference between a 20 mIU test and a 25 mIU test. I say you are fine with the one you have! I hope you get your BFP!!
looty Good luck getting the egg! This is the cycle after your HSG...right? (I hope I remeber right!) Anyway if it is it was the cycle after my HSG that I got pg with DS!! Sending some baby dust your way!
dancn Others are right if you got a positive today then you will O any where from 12-36 hours later. And remember that the egg can live for 12-24 hours after that. So if you did get a positive today just DB as soon as possible. I still think you have a good chance!
allison Welcome! I hope your stay here is short!
DelSol Hope you didn't O instead of when you thought. Hopefully you wouldn't have a restless night tonight and you can get a good temp!
Loving the phases in here today!! You girls crack me up!
Well I got my package today from early-pregnancy-tests.com. I ordered some OPKs, pg tests, and a BB thermometer. Not sure if I want to temp or not, but most likely I will. What the heck happened to me.... remember in my first post in this thread I said I didn't want to obsess!! Oh-well, it is just my personality!

Lana~Thanks! It always makes me laugh too. :D
FSUSammy~This is probably too late but I agree with pride&prejudice. I would just stick with the 25 one. Hope it pops up a BFP!
Pride&prejudice~Sorry about the negative. I understand wanting to know. I tested once while on a work related trip. I was sharing a room and although it was wierd I was able to sneak it in without any issues. :p I hope your symptoms mean something!
Tenny~Yes, you are right! I am the one that just got the HSG. I am really hoping I am like you and I get pg this month! I said I wanted to avoid obsessing too, but I think that is hard to do. I have managed to not temp but that is mostly because I don't think that I would remember.:o Good luck to you!

Thanks Everyone!
I know one thing I am beat so tonight is gonna have to be quickie. I know DH will be home sometime before 10PM but our quickie will have to wait until after LOST. We all know the last few minutes of LOST are crucial.
I'm really feeling some ovulation pain now so I am hoping I O tonight. Keep your fingers crossed we catch the egg.
I think I am going to rest for 30 minutes.
Everyone have a great night!

Hi ladies,
I am not going to add myself as an official member just yet as we aren't trying per-se, but DH and I are definitely not being careful if you know what I mean ;) I don't feel like I am giving it a whole-hearted effort to join the ranks, but I would enjoy some company :o
Today is CD 18 for me, and as for when I O'd...not entirely sure. Last month's cycle was only 22 days (as opposed to my normal 28) as I just stopped BC. So, it is hard to pin-point, however I did have some EWCM about 5 or so days ago, so I'll count from then. 5 DPO(?)
I am not sure if I am catching something, but I have been nauseous. Yesterday I had sharp pains on the left side of my pelvis, which turned into a fuzzy-kinda feeling, if that makes sense. I am hungry, but NOTHING sounds good to me. Even the faintest of scents are bothering me. I am convinced, however, that I am imagining these symptoms. Only time will tell! I am irritable today, so it may be AF coming soon (hopefully not around our anniversary weekend ;) )
I hope you all don't mind me hanging around here sometimes, I am sure I will be joining officially pretty soon

I'm really pissed off now. My stupid ass DH doesn't want to BD tonight so I told him then we are out this month because I can tell I am ovulating today. He said oh we can do it tomorrow and I was like tomorrow will be no good. Unless he changes his mind within the next 15 minutes I am going to bed. I won't be very happy during my 2WW.

I still might be in the game, my temp when down and I had some (or at least I thought) EWCM. He better be in the mood tonight, I still feel the ovulation pains.
I'm still mad at him and he's now going to get the article "How Babies are Made"

You guys are just cracking me up!! I can so picture some of this in my head!
Sorry I haven't been around much the last week, I have been so sick. My fever kicked back in Monday and by the evening I couldn't keep fluids down so my doctor advised a trip to the ER for much needed fluids. Diagnosis after 10 hours, major kidney infection.
CD25 today and definitely not pg, they did a test in the ER and I am spotting. I am actually ok about it, I would have been worried if I was. It looks as if I may not have O'd again. But Dh's appointment is Wednesday and hopefully we can get a plan for him and then get me going.

tenny~ I think its 11DPO today, if not +/- 1-2 days. I know its way too early. Thing is I am psyched to go on this trip, but yet I don't want to now. You guys can check my journal, I posted last week about it. Actually that would probably be good becuase if anyone has insight on the situation, I'd appreciate it! :o
looty~ OMG, I can only imagine trying to sneak it into the bathroom! :p See my problem is, I know if I find out, I won't be able to keep it a secret from the guys. On trips we usually have a beer or wine with dinner, and I know if I refuse, they'll put 2 and 2 together. I started thinking of excuses last night. I'm hoping they mean soemthing too.
FSUSammy~ Oh tell me about it. I think this board is the only thing that keeps my DH sane, so I'm not constantly bugging him about my worries/problems!
Mandos*Bella~ Welcome!
DelSol~ HOpe you changed his mind! That is why I don't tell DH about this stuff, he starts getting weird when he feels pressure to do something, so that's NOT what I need.
melandtim~ Hope you are feeling better. Sorry to hear about the ER. Hope everything works out with the apt
Me ~ The aching has stopped a little bit. Its still there, but I can at least function. :) Only got up 2 times last night, but when I got up this morning, I had to pee once, then 15 minutes later, and then 5 minutes later. Fa-rea-ky! And I am hoping I'm not getting sick. Since MOnday I've been feeling a sore throat coming on. Today I feel groggy and not completely there, but not like I'm completely sick yet. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Thank you! I feel like we've been trying forever! Since we've been really trying this year, I've tried my best not to be disappointed or too excited. I've been very private about things this whole time.
I went through a phase when I was in grade school where I decided to spell my name like yours. Up till then I had never known or seen anyone who spelled it like I did. My parents weren't too happy :p
Welcome Allison!

Thanks so much for the wonderful welcome!
Well, I don't chart (I used to) but I do know my cycle pretty well. Today I'm on CD33. I'm still waiting for AF to show up. I don't know if/when I should test. Stupid question, but I don't. I have some slight pulling pains, and I keep thinking they're just small cramps that will lead up to my normal cramps (I have always had horrible, horrible cramps).

Mandos*Bella - Welcome! Your symptoms sound a LOT like mine!!! Good luck!
pride&prejudice - I've noticed that I'm visiting the lil girls room LOTS during work. Way more than I'm used to. So you aren't alone!
Allison - Since you don't know when to test I'd say test when you think AF is late. For examples whatever your longest cycle has been test after that day.
RP from Charting:
Me - Well 10 DPO here. Feeling lots of nausea, started last night when I went to bed. I felt it on my long 1hr drive to work this morning too. I was in the elevator going to my office and someone had food with them and I wanted to gag. My temp went up by .1 again today. Boobs still very full and nips are still very perky. LOL I was VERY moody and emotional last night while I was watching LOST with DH. I seriuosly teared up at one point, and it wasn't even sad. I figured for sure that AF was on her way because I usually get like that before AF arrives, is that a PG symptom??? LOL Oh and get this....I was on the phone with my mom yesterday after I left work. Apparently when my little 12 yr old brother passed the phone to her she starts telling him that I'm PG. I was like NO I'M NOT MOM!!! I haven't even tested yet. She insisted that I am. So now my 12 yr old brother thinks I am. And to top it off I find out that one of my aunts, that I confided in, told my freaking DAD!!! NOOOOOOO not my dad!!!! I wanted to tell him myself in person when I know for sure! I swear my family is like a bunch of fax machines quickly sharing news, when there is no news to be shared yet!!! LOL So to make everyone happy (since they are all on edge waiting) I decided I will test tomorrow at 11 DPO, if its BFN I'll test again on Sunday, and every two days until AF or a BFP.

DelSol Silly DH!! I hope you are able to get a BD in today!
melandtim Sorry to hear you are so sick and about your trip to the ER. I hope you feel better soon!
pride&prejudice Looked in your journal briefly. I think it will be okay to shoot a gun while pg, especially so early in the pg. Also I didn't know both you and your DH are engineers. Both DH and I are engineers too, I'm Environmental and he is Structural. What kind are you?
allison They say it is better to test when AF is officially late, but I'm an early tester so I'm a bad person to ask. Good Luck!
FSUSammy Sorry your family is spreading all your news! I hope you get your BFP tomorrow that way you can spread it officially!!
Nothing new with me. I asked DH last night if I should start charting and he said no. So I'm not going to chart this cycle. Maybe next if it doesn't work this time.

Hi everyone.....just checkign in to say taht I got anohter negitive OPK. So, I am good, very happy because I am thinking that it shoudl be positive today or tomorrow, that is my guesstimate. But we will see. I am having fun with this stuff....its a lot less questionable if you know what I mean. I like the fact that it show up 24-48 BEFORE you o....That helps out a lot. Anyhow, hope things are going good for everyone....

Pride&Prejudice Sorry about the BFN, but definitely still too early to know for sure. Have you made a firm decision yet as to whether or not you will test on the trip?
MelandTim Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry about your hospital visit. Kidney infections suck. :( I hope you are feeling better now.
allison & Mandos*Bella Welcome to both of you! I hope your stay is short and sweet. We are glad to have you here with us!
looty I've got all my crossables crossed for you!
DelSol My DH did the same thing to me last week. It can be pretty disappointing. Hopefully you guys can BD tonight and catch the egg!
dancn Hope you get that positive OPK soon!
ME: CD24. Not feeling much of anything other than the fact that my BBs are sore and feel very full. However, they were like that last month around this time, so I'm not really counting that as a symptom. I have had indigestion off and on but since I love spicey foods and eat them constantly, I have to discount that as well. I think about the only thing that seemed a little out of the ordinary for me is DH and I always go to Taco Bell on Wednesdays before pool league. I ALWAYS order the same thing; Southwest Steak Bowl. But last night, we got there and I all of the sudden HAD to have a meximelt along with my bowl. I scarfed that thing down in like 10 seconds. :o And then was miserable the rest of the night because I was so full. That was totally out of character for me, but I'm pretty sure I'm pipe dreaming here. Oh well.

Kym - That is too funny because my mom is 1 of 5 girls. There are 2 boys in her fam too and she talks to most of her sisters DAILY! I had something similar happen to me with food 2 nights ago. mandos*bella ~ welcome & good luck!
pride ~ glad the aching stopped. No luck changing his mind last night, he can be a real ass at times. Since I didn't O, we need to BD tonight. Well if I don't tell him he gets weird and will say things like I didn't know we had to do it tonight so I try to tell him and he acts like this still.
tenny ~ hopefully we can BD tonight, already sent him an email so we shall see if he's in the mood tonight. Told him I was very disappointed with him.
dancn ~ good to see the OPS are working out.
jen ~ sorry about AF.
jimmysgirl ~ good to know I'm not alone in this boat & it does happen to other people but I swear my DH likes to be in that boat a lot. Hopefully the hunger is a good for you.
Me ~ CD15 temp went down this morning but then again yesterday's temp could be fluky. I am having some ovulation pain so I know O is near. I was thinking of getting some greet tea at lunch but remembered I have a Chiropractor appointment at lunch and there are no convenience stores on the way there or back. I don't want to be gone that long for lunch.

I'm not in the right frame of mind for SOs. I'm exausted, but i need to tidy up a bit becaue my landlord is dropping by tomorrow to check on the AC. It was messed up the other day and wouldn't turn on so she sends her skeezy son to come look at it. She calls me about half an hour later and tells me everything is fine and we just overran it. Great. Well, she's covering her ass anyway and having the AC guy come out tomorrow. So i need to straighten up....or i can do it when i wake up at 7am....blah....I also have to take the puppy to get her 12 week shots :( I'm not looking forward to it. I know i'm going to cry when they give her the shots and she starts crying. I can't handle it. She's such a mama's girl. If the cats bug her, she'll start yelping like they hurt her because she knows i'll come running and yell at them and cuddle her. She's already manipulative!!
So me and my cycle, yeah. I'm on CD 31, no signs of AF. I'm not even sure if I O'd so i don't know if AF will make an appearance anytime soon. I'm moody, gassy and i was flushing really bad this afternoon right before my shift was over. I get that sometimes, where i will just flush for no reason. Usually it's becaue I'm dehydrated. So I had some cold water and it went away pretty quick. I'm also pretty much done with the cigarettes. I weaned myself down. I was smoking about 15 a day and i started off last week with just 6 a day. I did that for a week and then this week i have been just kinda smoking if I had it, or if somone would let me bum one. And I'm being picky. I've convinced myself that if i'm picky, then i won't find anmyone who smokes the cigarettes i like and then i won't smoke, lol. The withdrawl symptoms have not been too bad because i'm going slow. Today I had a cigarette on my first break and one on my break after lunch and i had a drag off of DH's cig after dinner, but i didn't smoke anymore than that. I an a little irratable and have a headache. But I know the long term is MUCH better and i can handle a little grumpiness. So keep me in your thoughts on this one ladies.

FSUSammy~ I just feel weird becuase this one lady keeps looking at me funny since she sits near the bathroom and sees me going in all the time. I don't know what she thinks yet!
Tenny~ Thanks. I feel the same way, but I'm afraid my co-workers would freak out more than me. He is biresources, and works in a civil engineering dept now. I'm mechanical with a minor in civil and working on my masters in structural. :)

DelSol~ YEah, its still there, just not unbearable like it was. Your DH cracks me up though sometimes with his comments.
charliezangel~ Sorry you have to wait this out, but congrats on getting closer to quiting smoking. That is definitely a good step!
Me~ Not much, just more of the same. Just holding out for Tuesday. :o Cute story though that I forgot. We just moved into a new house, and a neighborhood with a ton of kids and dogs. :) Well, DH was working late and I was feeding the animals and starting dinner. All of a sudden the doorbell rings and there are two boys standing there (we have windows on the sides of the door so you can see who is there). I figured it was one of them doing a fundraiser since we've been getting them alot. So I answered, and the boys asked if I had a son who could come out and play. I said no, and that we didn't have any kids. They thansk me and then ran off, and the one kid shouts as he's running off "Not yet!" :p I thought it was cute, DH got a kick out of it since we are trying for one.

pride&prejudice - That is too cute about the two boys coming to your door. Ditto about the bathroom trips. I'm sure everyone over here is wondering why I keep getting up every hour. LOL
RP from Charting:
Me - 11 DPO today. Took my temp and it was down and is right above my CL right now. I had a dream last night that I tested and I saw two lines. I knew I'd get up to test this morning. I had everything ready for me to test this morning. I got a BFN. I'm a tad disappointed but I knew our chances were pretty slim. It still could be too early but with my temp dip today I have a feeling AF is on her way and might be here tomorrow. So I'll probably need to decide with DH tonight whether or not I'll need to fill my prescription for Clomid.

I don't want to put off this month though since that would mean an Aug baby and the least amount of time pg in the NYC summer is better!

Sorry about the BFN Sammy, hopefully it was just to early
Sorry for the lack of SOs I haven't posted for a few days and am way to far behind. I have been reading along though. I have switched my focus from TTC to losing wieght and getting back in shape, we are still TTC but just not going to focus on it as much, I'll still be here, but probably won't be posting daily or anywhere near that. I just feel like right now with my body not working and my dr not willing to do anything about it I have no control what so ever, so I need to focus on something I do have control over, and who knows, maybe losing some wight will help my body get back to what its supposed to. I have lost 16 lbs and AF started 2 days ago, maybe thats what my problem was.
If anyone wants to take over helping Looty with the thread let me know, like I said, I'll still be around but not as often. If not, thats fine too, I can still do it, no problem.

Hello Ladies and Happy Friday!
Looks like I'm in the same boat with a few of you, just waiting for the BD Fest to start. Maybe I'll start it tonight just for fun ;) . In the meantime I've been enjoying not being pg and had a couple of beers last night. I tried a very smooth cream stout that was just lovely, hmmm. Tasted like coffee and chocolate kind of. I might try dark beers more often and broaden my horizons!
General shout out to everyone, hope you all have a great weekend testing, BDing;) , waiting, etc.

Sorry about AF for those who had it show.
Good luck to those that are starting their bd'ing fest. I am right there with you. I got a peak reading today, which kind of surprised me but not much since I usually O a couple days later than the fertility monitor is suggesting. I am happy about that though. O on a weekend is always a good thing for us. ;) I will probably not O until tomorrow or Sunday, but we will keep our streak going. I am getting a little excited about the possibility of getting pg this month. We'll see.

Looty we must be pretty close to the same cycle.....My O monitors said that I should be oing with in the next 24-48 hours.....That was Friday. So we did a lot of bding on Firday....But DH had to work for 24 today on Sat. But he has Sunday off, so we planted the seed on Friday and if I don't O until Sunday I should be fine. I used another one this morning and the lines were pretty damn close to what they were on Firday. I think I might o tonight, I kind of feel some pains, so if I get some bding in tomorrow am, (since dh is at work until Sunday at 7am), I might still be good to go!!! SInce it already 10 here, I will be within the 12 hours mark!!! Cross your fingers for me.

Well ladies. AF found me this morning. So onto my first Clomid cycle. I actually bought Clomid yesterday at Costco. I called around for the cheapest prices since my insurance does not cover it and they were the cheapest. Thankfully I filled my prescription yesterday because their pharmacy is closed on Sundays and my first pill will be Monday night. I woke up at 5am to temp and then went to the bathroom and was greeted by the old hag and to top it off she hasn't allowed me to sleep since then because of the horrible HORRIBLE cramps! Ok enough of my vent. Hopefully the Clomid will help me O MUCH earlier this cycle and get PG too. No more 70+ day cycles for me please!!!!

Wanted to post a big, fat CONGRATS to Risa00! Have a wonderful 9 months, mama! :D
Sorry to hear about AF, Sammy & Pride. I expect I will get similar news this week. :o
I just wanted your ladies opinions on testing. I am fairly new to this, so please bear with me ;)
Would it be too early to test, say today or tomorrow? Last month AF visited on CD 22, which I am on today (no sign of her anywhere! Prior to stopping BC, she visited every 28.) The reason I want to test now is so that I can start some anti-biotics for a UTI  , and didn't feel comfortable starting them if I may be PG. What do you think? Give it a few more days?
Any advice/info is GREATLY appreciated! :)
FSUSammy
10-08-2006, 11:34 AM
Mandos*Bella - What kind of antibiotics do you have? I got a UTI at the beginning of my 2ww and made sure to tell the doc that there was a small chance of me being pg that way he gave me a safe antibiotic. I'd probably test in a few more days
Mandos*Bella
10-08-2006, 01:27 PM
Sammy- I want to say Bactrin/m? I will probably wait until Friday to test as we are leaving for our anniversary trip next weekend and may go wine tasting.
Thanks for answering back so quickly! ;)
FSUSammy
10-08-2006, 03:06 PM
Mandos*Bella - I recommend that you call up your ob/gyn tomorrow morning and ask if this medication is ok for you to take if you happened to be PG. If you have a UTI its important for you to get rid of it ASAP. It can lead to a kidney infection and you don't want to be sick if you are PG.

Allison~Sorry that AF came. I hope that you get a different result next month!
Dancn~Sounds like we are on about the same cycle. It sounds like you have a good plan laid out. Did you get your bd'ing in today? I am pretty sure that I O'ed yesterday afternoon and I think we covered ourselves pretty well. Keeping my fingers crossed for BFPs for both of us in two weeks.
Risa~A huge CONGRATS to you! That is great news. Make sure to come back and tell us your EDD so we can add that too!
FSUSammy~I am sorry to hear that AF found you. I hope that Clomid works for you. I will be at the same place as you next cycle is I get AF. I am hoping you never have a long cycle again. I hate those and mine were never as long as yours were.
Delsol~Sorry you aren't optimistic due to the bd'ing schedule. I hope you are pleasantly surprised.
MandosBella~I agree with Sam that you should check with your doctor about an antibiotic that is safe during pregnancy. I wouldn't let it go too long because they can get pretty serious. Just to be one the safe side. I hope you get a great present for your anniversary! And wine tasting sounds great!
Well as for me...I am pretty sure that I O'ed yesterday. I had a lot of EWCM and I felt O pains right after I got home. My parents were supposed to meet us at our house so we were debating if we were going to have time for a quickie.:o My parents ended up calling and saying they weren't coming so we figured that was a sign and got busy. :p I am thinking we had great timing, but I guess we'll know for sure in 2 weeks.

looty - Hope you managed to catch the egg!!! Good luck in your 2ww.
RP from Charting:
Me - CD 2. I will start Clomid tonight. I read somewhere that the side effects are minimized if you take it at night. I really hope I don't have many side effects, but whatever hopefully this will be the only cycle I need to take it. I also ordered preseed as well as some OPKs and HPT strips yesterday and they should be on their way today so I should have them before we need to beging BDing. So far the cramps from good ole AF are over and she really isn't as heavy as I thought she'd be seeing that she's been gone for almost 3 months.

Sammy ~ I hope the side effects are minimal from Clomid.

me ~ CD19 - 4DPO. Not much going on. Yesterday I was having some major acid reflux, it was yucky. DH & I talked and we will be on the "every other day" BDing schedule, since he really can't keep up. I just hope it works for us and hopefully when I know it's a crucial day I can get him to BD 2 days in a row. I told him that schedule was for men with low sperm count so that will have to be him since he can't do it every day. :p

Hi everyone, just checking in to say hey.....anyhow, according to the OPK, I O'd probably around Sunday. Since that would be about 4/28 hrs. So anways, we dtd on Friday, just in case, dh was working 24 on Sat. So thne we dtd again on Sunday, so hopeuflly it worked.
Looty~I hope we both have pretty good chances here, espeically with using the OPK's....perhaps they will work to our advantage! But we will see. I think I was always thinking my o date was ealier, so perhaps this will help. We will see won't we!! I have my fingers crossed for both of us!!!

TTC since: this will be our first month acctually trying to get pg, our last time was an oops.
I can't believe I get to come back here so soon! I had a MC in early September, it was hard to deal with but, that baby was unplanned and it kind of took us both by surprise. Welcome back BerBer, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and your mom's cancer diagnosis :( My mom is currently going through breast cancer treatment herself and it really sucks, I wish she didn't have to go through that. Let's hope we both have some good news to give our moms soon :) .
Sorry to all those who had AF show up! That witch!!
Me - Well, CD10 here and apparently DH misunderstood that we were in the midst of my fertile time and...pulled out. He knows I don't like to feel squishy unless I have to for baby making purposes. Yep, so the start of our BD Fest did not quite go as planned yesterday morning :p but we should be able to get our act together tomorrow and continue. It's not like I have any fertile CM at the moment anyways.

Me: Im CD 8. I had my annual exam today and my doctor was thrilled to learn that we are ttc. She said everything looks good and Im set to go. She recommended that we DTD on CD 10, 12, 14, 16. Sunshine~How are you doing? I miss you around here, but I am glad you are gone.
Sam~I hope that the mis of Clomid, preseed, and OPKs work some magic for you. I will have to keep in mind that there are less side effects if you take Clomid at night. That's good that AF isn't too bad for you.
Delsol~That is too funny about your DH. Mine tries to act like he wants to bd everyday 5 times a day but when it comes down to it he will refuse every so often when we are on the daily schedule. I hope your every other day schedule works for you!
Dancn~Sounds like you had some good timing. Do you feel O pains or not? I am keeping my fingers crossed for both of us too. Knowing when to expect O and when it came is a huge thing for my stress level in regards to TTC.
Berber~Welcome back. Sorry to hear of your loss and about your mom's diagnosis. Cancer sucks! I hope you have some good news to lift your family's spirit very soon!
Lana~I know it probably isn't too funny to you, but I couldn't help but crack up at your story. I hate the "squishy" feeling too. I hope that your DH doesn't do that again, but like you said at least you weren't having any fertile CM.
Melg~Thanks for the babydust! How are you doing?
Krissy~Isn't it nice to have a doctor give you the green light, even if you knew that you were fine? I was so excited after talking to my doctor in the beginning. It sounds like you are making a good guess about O time based on last cycle. Were you on bcp before? If so and you haven't been off them long just remember that it can change a bit after a couple months due to your cycle regulating itself.
Still just waiting, but I am feeling pretty good about our timing. I am already trying to imagine FPS and I am only 2 DPO. At least I realize that theya re just that false and am not putting too much stock into them. I know we have had good timing in the past and it hasn't meant anything, so I am trying to stay grounded.

Me - CD 3 today. Took my first Clomid last night. So far no symptoms. I do have a minor headache, but I doubt its related. AF is super light which I don't mind. It's so light that I don't know if I should maybe consider it spotting. TMI alert TMI alert..... I use tampons during the day at work and typically use the lite versions because the regular is too much for me. Well in the 6-7 hours I'm hardly even filling up one. Whatever is there is bright red so is this AF or spotting?

mandos_bella Hope you are wrong about AF.
ME: CD29 and no sign of AF. Since this is only my second cycle off of BC, I am trying not to get my hopes up. But, if AF doesn't show up by Friday, I will test then. I can say that I seem to be getting indigestion quite a bit more frequently than I normally do. But the number one thing that is making me nuts right now is how impossibly sore my BBs are!! They started bothering me late last week and just haven't let up at all. I did have that last month before AF arrived, but this is way worse. Several times over the weekend; I would wake myself up out of sound sleep if I rolled onto my stomach and put weight on my BBs. They hurt when I walk, even when I am wearing a bra. They hurt when I so much as cross my arms over my chest! So, I do have a small question mark in my head. PG?? Or not?? I am totally dying to test, but I just feel like I should wait a few more days. I am going to drive myself crazy thinking about it.
I went to a huge baby shower for a cousin over the weekend. She is having twins and she looked cute but rather uncomfortable! I have been to a number of baby showers over the years and I have never seen one on quite on this scale as far as gifts go. They literally sat her and her DH down as soon as they walked in to start opening their gifts. When I left three hours later, they were still working on the pile!! I'm betting its going to take them awhile to get it all sorted out; they looked pretty dazed by the giant pile accumulating next to them!! I hope someone had the presence of mind to rent a U-Haul, because there is no way all of that was fitting into anything less than 5 or 6 cars! What a trip. And yes, it did make me want a baby all that much more. :o

Lotty~I know dont' you feel so much better when you know when you O'd, I am with you on the stress level. It was so much easier this month, not really worring if the test was negitive, and then when it was positive, to really worry. So much better....I do feel o pains and they started late on Sat night. So I am hoping that even though Dh was at work, we still got it done in time on Sunday. Even though, we did dtd late on Friday night. So the guessing game is now on!!! How intresting.....
Anyhow, I am saying i am like 3 dpo. Now here is my question, when would you say all those FPS begin. After implatiation or what?!?!?!

OK, that was a lot of shout outs, maybe I should come by more often:o CD 6 for me, just waiting for AF to pack her bags and get out. I have started taking Vitex again, hoping that will help me out, last cycle I stopped it pretty early thinking that I had O'd, this time I will keep taking it until AF or BFP. I've been trying to lay low and not get to worked up into ttc like I have been because I feel like its really not going to happen on its own and have to wait until May before we can do anything about it. So I was wondering around the drugstore and picked up two "Answer" PG tests. I decided to test when I got home just to see what happened. I got a BFN. :( I try to remind myself we aren't officially trying, but it still seems dissapointing. My whole family brags about how "fertile" they were, etc.. and I don't seem to be, according to the last two months!
Oh well. I am still on CD24, so there may be a small chance that I may be PG, but I really doubt it. If AF doesn't visit by Monday, I'll test again.

BerBer First I'm so sorry about your lost! A m/c is such a hard thing to deal with! <<HUGS>> I'm also sorry to hear about your mom! But I'm glad that you are ready to try again and came back to join us!
Me: Well I'm CD11 today. I think I might start OPKs tomorrow. I meet with the new OB/GYN today. I really liked her. She came highly recommended and was really nice. I feel guilty leaving my old Dr. he did so much for me with my two m/c prior to DS and also while I was pg with DS. But the round trip drive is 1.5 hour plus the hour wait in the waiting room since it is a really busy practice. I think I'm going to switch. Since I did have the m/cs they when I do get pg they want to do blood work right away to check my beta and prog levels and I will also have to start on baby aspirin. Which is what they did while I was pg with DS.
Also she gave me this article and I thought the one part was pretty interesting. It said "for normal fertile men it can take 30-40 hours to return his usual level of sperm production after he ejaculations. Thus, if a couple has intercourse too often around the time of ovulation, the normally fertile husband may become relatively infertile temporarily, so that when he ejaculates, the number of sperm is markedly reduced. Taking into account both the female and the male physiology, we suggest that a husband and wife trying to conceive will have the best change (assuming a 28 day cycle) if they follow this schedule: BD on CD9 (night), CD12 (night), CD14 (morning), and CD15 (night) and at no time in between. A woman whose menstrual month is longer or shorter then 28 days will have to adapt this pattern to her own particular needs." It also goes on to say that sex on CD9 is simply a means of stimulating the husband's sperm production.
I thought it was pretty interesting and thought I would share it with you all!

Sorry I haven't been by, but as I posted (I think) AF showed up Saturday night and by Monday morning I was done. It was a very strange period this time. I usually last 4-5 days, this time it was one full day and a half. Weird.
I won't be around till next week. I'm going to Michigan with my mom! It'll be nice to get away!

Allison - hope you have a great trip!
Looty - hope you are doing well!
Tenny - glad you liked your new dr. That info is interesting to know but somehow I don't see my DH being happy with me waking him at 4 AM when I get up to go to work, even if it is for a good cause :p
DelSol - hope you caught that egg!!
Mandos Bella - sorry about the BFN, hopefully it was just too early.
CD5 for me. AF is gone but I am getting UTI symptoms again so it appears my kidney infection has not resolved so I will be making another call to my doctor this AM for an appointment. One would think after that massive course of antibiotics it would have cleared up

It also goes on to say that sex on CD9 is simply a means of stimulating the husband's sperm production.
What a great article!!!! Also, I know I've read about baby aspirin but what does it do exactly and when do you take it?

There is a possibility that the AF you "thought" you had might not really have been AF. You might want to take a PG test to make sure.

Oh Mel, I'm so sorry that your UTI is coming back. How AWFUL!!!! Those are the worst. Are you drinking lots of fluids? I know when I had mine 2 weeks ago the doc said that I need to make sure I'm drinking a lot.
Me - Well ladies. I'm on CD 4 today. Had my second dose of Clomid last night. I once again have a mild headache. This morning I kept having to take my covers off because I was too hot so I'm guessing I'm having hot flashes too. So far its not affecting my temp though, so that's good.

Sammy - sorry about the headaches and hot flashes. i read those are pretty common side effects but go away as soon as you take the last dose.
I just called the dr's office and they wanted me to wait till Monday for an appointment. hmm lets see that's 5 days from now. I could work myself back up to a really high fever and land in the ER again. They managed to sqeeze me in with another doctor tomorrow. I am having pretty bad abdominal pain and back pain so I can see where it could get really severe in a couple days. Plus kidney infections can do irreversible damage if not treated. Am trying to drink but I really don't want it.

melandtim Ya I know what you mean. DH and I DTD Monday night and then I though after reading the article that we should do it this morning. But when DH was getting ready for work at 6:00 am I was just way too tired. So I guess it will have to be tonight!
FSUSammy Baby aspirin will thin your blood a little and allow more oxygen to get to the baby. I took it with my last pg as a precaution because of my m/cs. The new Dr. said that she would recommend that I do this same if I get pg again. She wants me to start as soon as I get a BFP. I know some Drs. will start it sooner. She also said that there are risks with taking baby aspirin, but for me the effects of taking it out ways the risks.
Me: Nothing too exciting going on. I was going to take an OPK last night, but the stupid thing didn't work. I didn't even get the control line. So I will try again today.

melandtim~ Sorry your UTI is return. I know how they can be. I won't even get into the lecture I got from my doctor, he asked me if I was doing anything different and I said no and proceed to tell me what not to do. I would like to recommend Cranberry pills, I started taking them and they helped. I had a UTI for 3 months, it just wouldn't go away. The strand of bacteria I had was very mild so it was confusing him as to why I still had the UTI but I got a mega dose of antibiotics and started taking my Cranberry pills and I felt better.
jimmysgirl ~ sorry about AF.
Sammy ~ sorry about the headaches & hot flashes. Got my fingers crossed that next month you get your BFP.

Allison~Sorry about AF, but have fun with your mom in Michigan!
Mel~I can't believe it is coming back again. How horrible! I have only had a bladder infection twice (once bad enough to land me in the ER and warrant iv meds) but that was more than enough times. I hope your doctor can get rid of it soon.
Sam~Sorry that you are having those symptoms but I am glad to hear about them so I know what to expect next month (possibly). I hope they work for you this month!
jimmysgirl~Sorry that AF showed up. I know how disappointing it can be, especially since we all over analyze everything and make ourselves think we are pregnant.
Tenny~Sorry that the OPK didn't work. How annoying! I hated those things when I tried them because they were always so hard to decipher and I don't think that I ever got a clear indication that I Oed with those. I like the no guess work fert monitor, even though I didn't like paying the price.
Delsol~I hope that your tiredness is a sign of great things to come! :D
I am now 4DPO and not feeling anything. I don't expect to feel anything yet so I am glad that I am not making myself crazy (yet). After some events last night it seems that the 2 week wait might go pretty fast for me due to having other things on my mind. I guess that is a good thing!

Thanks ladies. I was pretty bummed when AF showed her ugly face this morning. I totally hate how I almost had myself convinced that I was pregnant when all it really was nasty ol' AF symptoms. I talked to DH earlier and told him that we weren't successful. He got quiet and then asked me if it was okay that he felt disappointed. I told him I was glad he did feel that way because it meant we were feeling the same things.
Anyway. On to round two.
looty Hope your 2WW goes really fast!
dancn Have you picked a target date to test? :)
DelSol The exhaustion you are having could be a sign of a BFP in your future! When are you going to test?
melandtim Sorry about the UTI. They can be so miserable. I'll second the cranberry pill recommendation. Also, do you drink alot of water? It can go a very long way to keeping you flushed and healthy.

Jimmys - I'm so sorry about AF! For me it's worse when DH is disappointed, I can handle it if I am but it makes me really sad when I can see that he's disappointed too :(
Tenny - That's a really interesting article! And yes, we got back on track ;)
Melandtim - I'm so sorry about the kidney infection. I hope you feel better soon.
Sending paitent 2ww vibes to Looty, Delsol, and Dancn, I'll be joining you either tomorrow or the next day I'm sure.
Me - Well it's CD12, the day I ovulated last cycle. I haven't been doing OPK's like a good girl so I'll just have to rely on a temp jump to tell me when I O'd. DH and I redeemed ourselves last night in the BD Fest, this time managing to get his little guys where they belong :p . Although DH nearly ruined it by making me laugh afterwards, I had to tell him to stop or I'd accidently push the spermies out again from laughing! So we'll DTD tonight and tomorrow night for good measure and see if we need to continue based on my temp.

CD6 for me, still spotting some which is annoying :( I go to the doctor at 11 today thankfully. I am having major back and abdominal pain and legs are starting to cramp again :( I just want this to go away.
Great news though - DH went to the specialist yesterday and although the shape of the sperm is slightly abnormal its nothing to be concerned about. His sperm count is extremely high (double the low end of normal) so he is feeling very manly :p So there should be no issue on his end. Now he is suddenly really gungho about this and is bugging me about my doctor and when they will start me on clomid. :p

me - CD 5, I considered yesterday spotting because most of the gunk was dark brown. No big deal as long as I know that this was definitely AF. I'll probably spot a bit today and then she's gone! Took my 3rd dose of Clomid last night. Here's my latest symptoms, for those interested, hot flashes, very moody at times, mild headache that comes and goes. I think that's it for now. I hope so for DH's sake. Hopefully my package of OPKs, preseed, and HPTs come today.

Tenny, I don't know how accurate this really is, but I have read here on CC as well as in several books that this actually does not really make a difference in how the spermies travel. Then again, I'm sure opinion varies on this particular subject. In any case, if you think it will help, what the heck, right?? :)

Hey ladies. Got an update for you all. I had 2 doctor's apptointments today. I figured I'd schedule as many as I could on the same day that way I could work from home that day. My first appt. was with my allergist. I take allergy shots and am on maintenance right now. I used to take the shotes every other week but now it will be moved to every 3 weeks. YAY! And then I verified with him that the allergy shots are OK if I get PG and he said Yes! And I asked him if Zyrtec was safe and he also said yes to that, I only take that when my allergies are killing me. Then my next appt. was with my gastroenterologist to follow-up on my endoscopy from last month. He showed me some pictures and said that I had gastritis, which he told me last month. He said that he thinks I'll need to be on Nexium indefinitely and that if we are TTC then he wouldn't want me taking it. I went ahead and called up my ob/gyn to have a nurse call me back so that I can find out if they think that Nexium is ok for me to take or if they have a safer recommendation. Besides that I've got a mild Clomid headache.
melandtim

Mel - I think you meant the Nexium question for me. LOL He said that there are some over the counter meds like Zantac and Pepcid.
Update...ob/gyn nurse just called and told me that I can continue taking the Nexium right now since it could possibly take me awhile to get PG. Once I get a positive she wants me to call her back and they will tell me what I can switch to at that point.

Wow, busy thread today! :D This must mean good things ;)
Last night as I was drifting off to sleep, I had the worst sharp pain on my left side near my pelvis. It was weird, because after the sharp pain, it felt all fuzzy and numb. It was almost a crippling pain, but very quick. I have never had a feeling like that before! Sounds silly, but it awoke me, and I remember telling myself "If labor feels like this..." as I was going back to sleep. No idea why I said that, but my guess would be since it was coming from that area of my body.
Anywhoo, no sign of AF, but I am just expecting her to visit on Saturday and accompany us on our anniversary trip.

Nothing is going on here anyway in the ttc arena...just waiting. I swear is some ways the days go so fast but when I think about it and realize that I am only 5 DPO, it makes me think it is dragging on.
That is too funny about your DH asking for prayers Lana. I was laughing pretty hard about that too. You know if it was in the women's group all the ladies would be telling DH about it on the way home. I wonder if the men did the same. My DH probably wouldn't think anything about it and when I found out later you were trying and mentioned it to him he would tell me he already knew. :p
Good luck to the testers and sending patience to those in teh 2ww. It sucks!

I had some spotting yesterday and am hoping that I have none today so that I can be free of AF. I have yet to get my package of OPKs, preseed, and HPTs yet. ME: Same as yesterday, only now I'm on CD3. Just trying to cheer myself up by thinking that this time next week we will begin the BD fest all over again. DH was trying to psyche himself out last night by wondering if he's capable of getting me pregnant. He said he never got anyone PG before, even when he had condoms break on him. I tried explaining to him that the window to actually impregnate a woman is very, very narrow and his chances of actually sleeping with a woman at just the right moment were pretty small. He was not convinced and is continuing to worry. :( This is new for him.

And we didn't even BD last night like we were supposed to. We got into bed and I say "I'm tired" and he's like "I am too" and then I say "I don't wanna!" and he's like "Me either!" We laughed about how old we are that we can't handle BDing three nights in a row and went to sleep :p .

Wow girls...this is a busy thread today. I have to go back and catch up a bit.
Lanapoo: You guys sound like us. We were exhausted last night and there was no chance it was happening.
Tenny & FSUSammy: I have the mission impossible theme song running through my head...seeing two girls hiding behind corners with OPK. LOL! Do you have private bathrooms?
Jimmysgirl: Your poor DH. I hope that he doesnt begin to worry too much. I hope this is your month!
DelSol: Enjoy the wedding. Happy Birthday to your DH.
Me: CD12. Last month I O'ed on CD 13. The past two days DH and I havent done any BDing. We've both been very tired. Im hoping that tonight and tomorrow we can get ourselves into the game.

Krissy - Our bathrooms here are stalls so hardly private. Everytime I've gone today, I think about how I'm going to get away with it next week.

Lanapoo We didn't BD last night either. I was a little pi$$y about it. DH and I were laughing and he got into bed. Then I went to the bathroom, got naked and crawled into bed and went over to his side and there he was snoring away!! I was a little upset!! So I just got dressed and went to bed!
FSUSammy and Krissy Mission Accomplished!! Okay and it was not easy! I ordered a bunch of OPKs from early-pregnancy-test.com so they are the ones that you have to pee in a cup first and of course I forgot a little cup from home. So I carried the OPK down to the restroom in my pocket and then I opened the packet and took the OPK out and made a little cup out of the metal wrapper. I then peed in the wrapper and dipped the stick. I then emptied the wrapper and wrapped it in toilet paper and throw it away. I then wrapped the stick in toilet paper and put it back in my pocket, washed my hands and went back to my office. I keep thinking to myself walking back, please no one stop me in the hall and start talking I have a pee soaked stick in my pocket!
So the results of the OPK....NEG! But the line was ALOT lighter then it was yesterday around 5:00 and last night around 9:30 so do you think I just missed my surge or it can still come? I'm CD14 today, last cycle I got a positive OPK the evening of CD14 and I think I Oed on CD15.

That is hilariuos!!!! Glad you were able to do it. I have a bunch of those little cups at home and I also bought my opks from early-pregnancy-test.com so I have to dip too. I figured I could easily throw the cup out in the little femine product garbage thing in the stall, but if I forget the cup then its nice to know that I could use the metal wrapper, good for you for thinking about that!!!

Sam~Yay for your last day of Clomid! I hope that everything works out for you this cycle. Does you insurance cover everything?
Delsol~I don't know about the small clot. OUr bodies always do strange things when we are paying close attention don't they? Enjoy the wedding, even if your DH won't be there. Happy birthday to him!
Jimmysgirl~Sorry that your DH is having a hard time thinking about the whole ttc thing right now. I know a guy's ego seems to be really tied to that which is silly, but they are men. :p At least it seems like you have a good attitude since you are just looking forward to your next bd'ing fest!
Lana~Sorry for the confusing temps. I hope you can figure it out soon! Too funny about you and your dh's conversation. I didn't even get a chance to say anything to mine because he was already out.
Krissy~It sounds like you should get back in there. Hopefully with the weekend here, you will be able to catch up on sleep and bd'ing just in time for O!
Tenny~You and Sam are too funny about the how to do an OPK at work. I would have the same issue since I have to use the same bathroom as the kids at school and you know how those kids will ask you anything. Glad that you were successful. I guess you could have missed the spike. Doesn't say that you should take them at the same time everyday so they are easier to compare? Maybe it will be darker again tonight. Just make sure you aren't drinking too much!
Happy Birthday tomorrow RobynScott and Pootle!

looty - My insurance didn't cover the clomid but it was only $16 at costco. I'm not having any other tests or anything. My ob/gyn wanted me to try clomid for 3 cycles, so we'll see. I figured I'd at least give one cycle a try.
Me - Hmmmm CD 6 and when I check my cm internally, I was expecting it to be dry or maybe even sticky. NOPE I had EWCM! It was stretchy and all. Oh yeah and I've been having O pains on my right side all afternoon. I guess maybe Clomid is doing something!

Happy Birthday RobynScott and Pootle.
I got my very first positive OPK today. I have read that it means that ovulation will likely occur within the next 12-36 hours. How should I time this?
FSUSammy

Krissy - You should definitely BD today. Keep taking OPKs until you get a negative. So if tomorrow its still positive, BD some more. Good luck catching the egg!!!

10-14-2006, 01:50 PM
Thanks FSUSammy. Is it ok to BD everyday?
FSUSammy
10-14-2006, 03:28 PM
Krissy - It is ok to BD everyday, but most people try every other day. If you BD'd yesterday then you could potentially wait to BD tomorrow.
RP from Charting:
Me - Figured I'd post a quick update. CD 7 today. Done with Clomid. I've been having hot flashes all day. Cervix is still low and CM is sticky, borderline creamy. I started taking mucinex today to help with thinning my CM so we'll see if that helps. I also received my package of opks and preseed so I'll be ready for my first opk on Monday.

Tenny i was in the same boat this month. I don't know weather I Od or not, but on CD 24, i had a darker line than any other day...but it wasn't necessarily a positive. Also, your story was hilarious, however, if you read the directions on the packet (or online) it says that after you dip it or pee on it, it needs to lay flat on a non-absorbant surface. Wrapping it in toilet paper may have affected the result. I don't know, but perhaps it really would have been darker??
FSUSammy Me - Hmmmm CD 6 and when I check my cm internally, I was expecting it to be dry or maybe even sticky. NOPE I had EWCM! It was stretchy and all. Oh yeah and I've been having O pains on my right side all afternoon. I guess maybe Clomid is doing something! I HOPE, I HOPE
KrissyCat7 From what I have heard, unless Jay has diagnosed "problems" , then BDing everyday shouldn't be a problem, except that you both may be exausted, lol. It doesn't really increase or decrese your chances though. If you O'd yesterday, and BD'd on Thursday and Friday, you could have caught either one.
ME OK, so CD 41. I told DH that I would not test until CD 40 because of what happened with my last cycle. SOOOOOO, at this point, with no AF and FINALLY a decrese in fertile CM, I am going to the dollar store today to pick up 2 tests. One of them i will take today, the other tomorrow morning with FMU. However, if i get a conflicting result, i'm going to have to live with it until Friday because i literally have only 2 dollars left until we get paid, lol. We had some stuff come up at the beginning of the month and i definetly do NOT want to dip into savings to purchase an HPT. So i'll either get a lcear answer today or tomorrw, or we'll be waiting until Friday/Saturday.
I have been having MAJOR FPS. I am tired, tired TIRED. I can barely keep my eyes open half the time. I have been STARVING lately. my BBs aren't sore and I'm not noticing a huge difference in my peeing habits, but I have noticed i have the urge a little more frequently. Then, about a week ago, the strangest thing started happening. We have a new puppy. She alsways would sleep up by my head or directly at my feet. For the past week, however, she has been crawling underthe covers and curling up at the very base of my belly. If i try to move her, she crawls right back. DH said "maybe she's protecting something". LOL, here's hoping
FSUSammy
10-15-2006, 07:26 AM

weeeeeeell...i dunno, i'm gonna say BFN for now. But if i O'd when i think i did, i'd be 16 DPO, so there should be no reason that an afternoon pee wouldn't register HCG. OK, so being th obsessive person i am, i bought 2. so i'll tak the second one tomorrow, and if BFN again, i'll be making a dr's appt for Friday to find out why the long cycles and no baby!!!.
I am hesitant to go on Clomid because we're not really "trying". I know i said this before. If we were to have mutiples because of clomid, we'd be in a VERY bad position. That's why we are really just seeing what happens right now. And i'm not really sure when I O'd and that pretty much how it's going to be for a few more months while we get our finances in order.

charliezangel ~ sorry about the BFN.
Don't have much time for shout-outs, I know DH will be home soon so I need to get some stuff done, like making him Brownies and buying him a card. :o
Me ~ CD25 ~ 10DPO, still not calling my spotting AF. I want to wait until Thursday to see if get AF or not. If not I will change my spotting to AF but it's really light, I think I had one day of maybe medium flow.
DH & I are planning our R&R day, we are going to spend the night in Atlantic City, NJ. He wants to go down Thursday night and I'll call out on Friday but now that I think about it I should probably do it earlier in the week, I'll have to check with him and see what days turns out to be better.

I'm actually glad that I wasn't preg on this trip, I had too many problems without being (I got sick with the high altitude, no one ever told me that could happen!) Hi Sunshine, girl haven't talked to you much lately! ;)
Me ~ CD10. Since my last AF arrived so early, I'm hoping maybe that I'll O early on this cycle. I leave on Friday morning for another week long business trip, so hopefully I do or I'm definitely out for this cycle. Keeping my fingers crossed Charliezangel that you got your BFP this AM!!
DelSol - hope HD had a great Bday! Hope AF doesn't arrive :)
CD10 for me. Still not feeling well and not sure whether we should even try this month. My dr still doesn't know what is wrong with me, may be gall bladder problems and DH had a year followup for his knee replacement and it looks like he may have an infection. Guess we need to decide quickly. My stepmother works for the VA and she said they require you to stay in the hospital for 3 months getting IV antibiotics. I know for a fact you can be sent home with the IV in and do your own antibiotics but my concern is if for some reason he is in the hospital that long there is no way I could work and take care of our farm with winter coming on if I were pg :(

well, thanks for the nice thought ladies, but another BFN this morning. I'm starting to get a little concerned. I am 11 months off BCP. most of that time was just seeing what would happen. But it drives me crazy.
I just found out that a girl I used to go to church with down south (she's much younger than me, 17 now) is pregnant. So here I am, married and somewhat stable and after 11 months I cannot get pregnant. But this little teeny bopper slips up one time and, my word, she's pregnant. She probably doesn't even know what ovulation is.
I never in my wildest dreams thought we might deal with infertility problems. But i realize now just how painfull it can be. I don't think I'm prepared to go through all this.

FSUSammy Gook luck taking your 1st OPK at work!! (Mission Impossible song is playing in my head!)
looty Yes it does say to take at the same time each day, but I cheated! But I did take one when I got home at the usual time and it was a lot lighter then the ones I took the day before that were technically negative. So I think I just missed my spike.
KrissyCat7 Good luck in your TWW!!
charliezangel So sorry about the BFN!! I know how frustrating it can be when people who aren't even trying get pg with such little effort! As for the OPK...I guess I kind of messed up the test. But I did take another one when I got home that night at the usual time I take it and followed all the directions and it was still a lot lighter then it was the day before. So I guess I really never got a positive OPK this cycle. I think I missed the spike!
DelSol Your R&R day sounds like so much fun. I can't even remember the last time I went to Atlantic City!

Well as I mention in some SO above. I took another OPK Friday when I got home from work and it was much lighter then the ones I got the day before that were technically negative. I think I just missed my surge. I did have some cramping and twinges on Friday night so I think that is when I Oed. So I'm going to go with that and say I'm 3 DPO. OPK at work update: Alright ladies... I was able to hold my pee until 11. That was a good 3.5 hours. Should be good enough. Well I brought a little make-up pouch with 5 opks (one for each work day) and 5 small cups. LOL Before I left my desk I opened up the pouch and opened the opk I planned on using and then proceeding to the "facilities". There was someone in the stall next to me but I just went ahead and took my sample into my little cup and put it behind the toilet temporarily. I quickly tested and put the strip back into its packaging. I dumped the sample out and threw the little cup away in the feminine trash thing in the stall. LOL I walked back to my test and placed the test in my drawer and have been watching it for the last 10 min. It's definitely negative. There is a very very light test line though. I plan on testing again tonight when I get home from work so that means I'll need to limit fluids starting around 3, which will be HARD!

Hey ladies. I need your advice even though I KNOW what the answers are going to be. LOL Last week when I was bored I decided to play with a due date calculator and based on my LMP I'd be due July 15th if we were to get a BFP this cycle. I work in the cruise industry and know that my parents are going on a cruise the week before July 15th and are planning on another cruise at the end of July. My parents are already looking into getting airline tickets for the cruise for the end of July since it leaves from Puerto Rico. I guess my question is should I put a bug in my mom's ear that maybe they should wait or at least get travel insurance just in case they need to cancel the trip to be at their 1st grandchild's birth? Or should I just keep quiet and not worry about it at all since really the chances of us getting a BFP any given cycle is only about 25%.
Thanks!

SO frustrated right now  !!! I think my thermometer is on the fritz or something! There is no way my temp is that low. It has never been below 97.2 and for some reason my temps have been super low and this morning it was actually 96.85!!! That's just crazy. I KNOW I must have ovulated, my cm is all dry and sticky now. I even got a positive OPK on CD11! Has anyone who has charted gotten such low temperatures? Could my thermometer be broken?
Maybe I'll post on the charting thread too...
FSUSammy
10-16-2006, 12:08 PM
Lana - It could be one of three things. 1) The temp is real, 2) your thermometer needs a new battery, or 3) you slept with your mouth open or you were uncovered before you temped.
Hi Everyone,
CD11 here... I have my annual physical/pap smear on Wednesday.... I had heard you are suppose to refrain from intercourse for a couple days before having a pap? Is this true? What if I get a + on an OPK like today or tomorrow? I'm assuming my MD would understand... should this even be something to worry about?
Also.. anyone have a good buy on Clear Blue Easy OPK.. other than Costco?
I gotta buy some today!!
Thanks!!

Thanks for responding Sam. I live in AK and it's starting to get pretty chilly now and we keep our bedroom window cracked for fresh air. I notice now that when I put my thermometer in my mouth it's really cold. It beeps after three minutes of being turned on and gives you the temperature. Could it need more time due to it being cold in the room?
By the way, I was doing the same thing you were last month about a trip that my mom booked right around the time I would have been due had I been pg. I decided to not worry about it, if it happened then I know she would figure out a way to change the date of the trip or something.

Yes its recommended that you refrain for a couple of days because it can mess with your pap results. If you get a + on your OPK today or tomorrow and still decide to BD before your annual then you are taking a chance that your annual will come back abnormal and that your doc will need to do a colposcopy or follow-up pap.

Where in AK do you live??? I totally never noticed that you lived up there. DH and I got engaged in AK in 2003 we are hoping to go back for our 5th anniversary in a few years. I doubt your therm. needs more time its very possible that the therm is cold before you put it in your mouth which will in turn cause lower temps. You might want to warm it up in your hands or in your mouth for a minute before you turn it on and see if that works.

FSUSammy Congrats on doing your first OPK at work. As for the trip I would just wait and see if you get a BFP. Also I travel a good bit and I don't think you can get airline tickets that far in advance. Of couse I could be wrong. But most airlines will let you change your flight for a small fee. Like $50 or some where around that.
jen Not sure about the pap. But I would go with what FSUSammy said!
Lanapoo Ya I was going to say maybe the room was really cold. I guess all you can do is wait to see what your temp is tomorrow.

Lana - We were up in AK for vacation. We did a week touring the interior on our own, headed up to Denali and did a flight over McKinley and then drove down to Seward and took a cruise southbound to Vancouver. It took her a few months, but she eventually followed him ;) . And twenty years later they are still here and still together...As with most tourists, you've seen more of AK than I have :p . Sam~I hope that is the Clomid working. I know that it is supposed to make you O between 5 and 9 days after your last pill. As far as your parents' trip...I would hold off on saying anything until it becomes a problem. If you get your BFP then I would mention it but not until then. Like someone else said I am sure they would be willing to change it if necessary.
Charliez~Sorry about the BFN. I know what you mean about it being frustrating that someone who isn't prepared and doesn't want a baby can have one and those of us who are trying can't. I have had that thought many times. I hope you are able to figure something out that will help you get pg asap!
Delsol~Ooooo, a day of RnR sounds great! I was just telling my coworker today that I really wanted to take a mental health day but with the end of the quarter fast approaching that isn't possible right now. Boo! I hope the spotting stays away and doesn't come back for nine months!:D
Pride~I hope that you O before oyu leave so that you don't have to stress about that on your trip!
Mel~Sorry to hear that you still aren't feeling well. I hope they can figure it out soon and that your DH doesn't have to stay in the hospital that long. That would really suck! Keep us updated on the situation.
Krissy~The 2ww does suck and I swear it drags slower than any other point in my cycle. I try to forget about it but who an I trying to kid?:p Good luck being patient.
Dancn~I am pretty much at the same point you are. I am 9 DPO though and don't expect AF until Saturday. I hope she stays aways for both of us.
Tenny~Sounds like you are right about the OPK thing and proabbly missing your surge. I hate when that happens but hopefully since you had good timing anyway it with result in a BFP!
Lana~I was thinking about the room temp too since it has gotten colder here too. Maybe since your thermometer is cold you are too. If the warming the thermometer up first doesn't work, I would guess that you may be colder too, even if you don't feel like it.
Jen~I agree with Sam. It is recommended to abstain from intercourse for a couple days (I try to not bd the day before) because it can mess up your pap results. It could make it come back abnormal (not fun...had that happen a couple times) or make them miss an issue that it there. If you are Oing and can't resist I would recommend rescheduling. That's just my opinion though.
PS. to Lana and Sam~ I really, really want to visit AK (always have). After I saw my grandparents' pictures from their trip I knew I had to get there in my life. We'll see when that happens though.
I am currently 9 DPO. I am having some symptoms but nothing that can't be explained away by other things. I try to stay optimistic but realistic because I have crashed a couple times after really getting my hopes up. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us in the 2ww and that are getting ready to bd!

Mandos Bella - Sorry AF arrived and on your trip no less :(
CD11 for me, I guess we need to start our BD marathon but I have felt so bad I haven't wanted to. DH and I talked las tnight and he doesn't want to put off TTC. Our main concern is that he may have to have the implant taken out and redone which means he would be laid up for quite some time. But as he said we can find a way to deal it. I am headed back to my doctor's this Am. She thinks its my gall bladder which may mean I am headed for surgery  Not good timing we are supposed to be leaving tomorrow AM for finals with the horses  Why couldn't it have waited for a couple weeks??

Quick question guys. What does O pains usually feel like? I kind of got this one pain in my lower side, sort of like AF pain (one that had me saying WTH), but it was very short, on the drive in to work this morning.
Sorry to those who AF arrived. Sorry not many SO right now. I'm trying so hard to catch up on CC, work, and everything else before I leave on Friday. Ugh, and to think that I wanted all this travel. :)

Thanks!!
Yes its recommended that you refrain for a couple of days because it can mess with your pap results. If you get a + on your OPK today or tomorrow and still decide to BD before your annual then you are taking a chance that your annual will come back abnormal and that your doc will need to do a colposcopy or follow-up pap.
what she said. My dr told me to stop all sexual intercourse 3 days prior to my pap. What it causes is an inflamation of the cevix which is typically abnormal. Colposcopy=No Fun....I would call your dr if you get a positive OPK so you can BD and put off your appointment a couple days.

Lana - You should definitely go to AK when you get a chance. It's absolutely breathtaking up there. When are you planning on testing?
Mandos*Bella - Sorry about AF showing up!
Mel - Hopefully its not your gall bladder, but then again I know you want to pinpoint your illness on something by now.
pride&prejudice - When I've had o pains it usually is a sharp pain on one side around the area where I'd hope my ovaries are. LOL One time it felt like I was getting pinched from the inside and I literally couldn't move for a good 2 minutes until it passed.
Me - CD 10 today. My second OPK last night was also negative, not a surprise really. I'll take another this morning at work, around 11. My temp dropped drastically today and I'm not sure why but am hoping it was a fluke. I had read somehere that once you finish clomid your temps will go back to where they normally are, so I'm wondering if that's what happened. I'm debating on whether we should start our BD-fest today or not. I could O anywhere from tomorrow to next Monday. I hate not knowing!
Sam
Thanks girls for the info.... I still haven't gotten off my duff to buy OPK's, so I'll just sit tight until after my MD appt tomorrow! :)

Lana ~ I'd have to agree with Sammy as to the reasons why for the low temp, how was your temp this morning?
looty ~ I can hope for a BFP. I'll know in a few more days. Couple more days to go for you, when are you testing?
mandos ~ sorry about AF
pride ~ I would have to say it's a sharp pain. When I feel it, it takes me by surprise.
sammy ~ have fun with the BD fest.
me ~ CD27 - 12DPO. Getting close to the end of when the real AF should be showing. Had some very light spotting on the TP last night but that was all. Don't have any thing going on, slight soreness in one of my bbs but nothing else, no where near the tiredness I had last week.

DelSol and FSUSammy~ Thanks. The one I had today had me wanting to double over, but I couldn't exactly do that while driving. LOL I hoping that was it, since we DTD Sunday and I'll make sure of it tonight. :) This would just be too good to be true. LOL

HI all, hope everything is going well. I am on CD28 like 8 dpo I think. Anyhow, I am feeling really nasueas today, adn very dizzy. But that could be assoicated with many things. Found out yesterday that I will be out of a job in June of 07. I work at a junior college, and am under a grant position and they won't be getitng it next year. So whatever, I think that has a lot to do with it. Makes me sick, whatever. I just don't reallyc are to be here anymore. The part that kills me is that no one is saying for sure, its all these confidential bullshit right now, so I am just like WHATEVER!! Trying ot keep my positiveness here.
Lana~Hope that AF stays away for both of us as well. Its getting to that point again where you start wondering wha tis going to happen and you get all excited, to just be pissed off. So we will see.
DelSol~ I am hoping that all that spotting is implatation for you. I wish I had a sign like that, I have nothing as of now. I jhust feel sick today, but its probably from what I mentioned above.

FSUSammy~I am not to sure what to think right now. I really want to open my own dance studio. My grandparent rent out buildings and my grandparents said they might have a place that i can get. So I am hoping i could make enough for a bit off of unemployement to get that up and going if you know what I mean. I just don't know, though. My husband and I werer tlakign about moving but I dont know. I knew there was a possiblity of it, but its so bazarre to here that its the truth, so we will see!!!! I am just up in the air on how to handel things now, look for another job, or finally make my dream come true?!?! I dont know, I need tiem to think it out, or should I even think it out and just do what I need to do and make my dream come true. Confusing..........

Mandos_Bella Sorry about AF. :( Worse when it actually arrives in conjunction with a trip!
pride&prejudice Sounds like O pains to me. Make sure you get busy tonight!! ;)
DelSol Hoping AF stays away!! When will you test?
Sammy Good luck with BD'ing fest! I really hope you catch the egg this time around.
jen Hope your doctor's appointment goes okay tomorrow. Check on Ebay for O kits. I found some really good deals there.
charliezangel Sorry about the BFN. It certainly does seem like many women who aren't trying and don't even want a baby are the ones who get pregnant the easiest. It can be a real downer, to say the least.
melandtim Gosh, I hope you get your illness resolved soon. I would hate for it to be your gallbladder, but I guess its best to know rather than to keep on suffering like you are. Sorry about your DH. Keep us updated.
looty Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
ME: CD7. I marked on the calendar when I think we should BD this time around. I am not charting or temping so its guesswork for the most part. I am pretty sure that I O'd somewhere between CD16-18 last month. Based on that; I marked CD's 12, 14, 16,17,18 & 20 just to be sure. Does that sound right to everyone?

dancn226~ Sorry to hear about the job
DelSol~ Hope that is implantation spotting!
FSUSammy~ I know what you mean about not knowing!
Me~ Ok, so I'm CD12. I had this pain on my one side when driving into work this morning so I was hoping that its an O pain. I think it is because I had EWCM on the TP when I went to the bathroom before lunch. I am so hoping it was. LOL I was starting to drink green tea before I left for the trip, and had a few Saturday and Sunday when I got back. It seems to have helped. I wanted to do the grapefruit thing, but I'm alergic to it and break out in hives,a nd DH said he didn't care how much it helped he wasn't going to have me covered in hives. :)
