charliezangel Sorry about the BFN. It certainly does seem like many women who aren't trying and don't even want a baby are the ones who get pregnant the easiest. It can be a real downer, to say the least.

So true

dancn I'm really sorry to hear about your job. :( You know what they say about doors being closed and windows being opened though. I hope thats the case for you.

Hello All!

Looty - I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for you. Stay away AF! I hope you make it up here one day. It's pretty fabulous in the summer (usually, this summer was totally craptastic though  ).

Mandos - I'm so sorry that hag found you! And on a trip too  .

Melandtim - It really sucks that these health issues seem to be getting in the way for you and DH this month :( .

Pride - I think you're on the right track here with the EWCM and the O pains. Get thee some BDing tonight!

Sam - I hope you get that positive OPK soon so you don't have to wonder anymore.

Delsol - Interesting symptoms, I find that my BB soreness usually goes away right before AF instead of showing up.

Dancn - Sorry about all the job confusion. I'm sure everything will work out.

Jimmys - Looks like you'll definitely be covering your bases with that BD schedule!

Me - Well, after warming my thermometer up a little I got a temp that was a little more in line than it was before. I'm still colder than I was last month though and I also feel like my chart is completely screwed up because I haven't put in the last few temps. I just feel like giving up on it for the rest of the month and starting over next cycle. And to top it all off(small vent), DH keeps stealing my covers and I wake up freezing. He thinks it's funny, of course  .
If I O'd when I thought I did then I should be around 5 or 6 DPO today.

Mandos - Sorry about AF. It seems like she has the worst timing.

Melandtim - Im glad you guys are still going to try this month. Your DH is right, you will find a way to work it all out.

Pride - Your O pains sound like mine. I never had O pain until I went off BC...and now its pretty bad.

Delsol - I still have my fingers crossed.

Dancn - Im sorry to hear about your job. I too work under a grant so I know how unstable our jobs can be. I hope you will find something else without too much hassle.

Jimmys - Have fun BDing. I have a feeling that this month is going to be a good month for a lot of us.

Lanapoo- My DH does the same thing with the covers...so not funny.

Me: Im CD 16- 2DPO. I'm trying to figure out all this timing and what not. I think this is one of the first times in my life where I wanted the second half of each month to fly by. So now Im just crossing my fingers and praying. I hope we have a lot of good news this month.

Get thee some BDing tonight!

Hehehe. I read that and DH just emailed me to ask if we had any plans tonight b/c he wants to get dinner with a friend. How hard it was not to type that! :)

KrissyCat7~ I know! Its funny how after being on BC so long I forgot some of the things you feel with the whole cycle thing! Oh I know about the timing, when AF arrives, I want it to fwd 2 weeks, and after O I want those 2 weeks to fly too!

Yeah, like monster cramps from hel! and breast tenderness that makes you wish you didn't have BB's. :o Yup. Forgot all about those. Reminds me of why I went on the pill in the first place; way back when I was 17.

KrissyCat7 I'm trying to figure all of this out too. I also feel the same way about wanting the second half of each month to fly by!

Lanapoo DH steals the covers too and I've just resorted to having my own blanket under the others that he can't steal!! :p

pride&prejudice Crossing my fingers!!

jimmysgirl424 I wish I could help you but I'm still figuring this out too. I'm not really charting but I'm keeping tabs on things. No temping either. I always forget!

dancn226 I'm sorry to hear about your job. Would your Grandparents be willing to give you a break on your lease if they have a space for you? Do you know someone who owns their own studio that you could talk to for advice?

Me: We're back from Michigan and I'm finally thawed out! ;) It snowed unexpectedly the first two days we were there and we loved it!

Anyway, I'm CD 12 and am supposed to O in 7 days so we'll be BDing this weekend! Crossing my fingers!

Dancn ~ I hope it turns into something and not AF. Sorry about the work situation. That would be great if you could open up your own studio.

Jimmysgirl ~ I’ll probably test on Saturday, if AF isn’t here.

Pride ~ I’m sensing you are Oing or gonna be soon, better get home and jump on DH, don’t want to miss that O.

Lana ~ the symptoms come and go. Yesterday I had not spotting until night when I was getting ready for bed. Tonight I’m doing water aerobics so I wonder if that will start anything.

Krissy ~ thanks! It will go by fast, just don’t think too much about it.

Unfortunately we are out this month. I spent all day in doctor's offices and having scans yesterday and the result is that my gallbladder is not functioning properly and must go. I talked the surgeoun into letting me go to my championships this weekend with the horses and doing next weekend's adult team champs as long as I promised that if I spiked a fever I would go to the ER immediately. So I am scheduled for surgery on 11/3.

I am thinking I may have O'd today. Huge temp drop yesterday and then way way up today with major O pains or pains not sure if they are O since I am having so many problems anyway. So I am off to my finals today. Wishing everyone luck!!

RP from Charting:

Me - CD 11, BD fest started last night. Woohoo! LOL I actually had some thick creamy looking CM yesterday when checking internally, and when I went and checked again a minute later I actually found some EWCM. Not much but it was there! I used some preseed last night too. My temps are back to where they were prior to taking Clomid. Not really having any signs that O is on its way though. All OPKs yesterday were negative (light pink line). I'm "scheduled" to take one around 10:30 today so we'll see. I figured we'd BD every other day until I get a positive OPK then try to do it daily. Hopefully DH can keep up don't typically BD during the week so its a big change for us.

FSUSammy~ Wooo hooo for the BDfest starting!

melandtim~ Ugh, that doesn't sound like fun. Take care of yourself girl!

DelSol~ Did just that. ;)

allison~ Thanks!

Me~ So with the excitement of yesterday I couldn't wait to get home. DH thought he was going to have dinner with a friend, but wound up not. So we had dinner together. Then we BD so hopefully with that and if we BD today and Thursday, crossing my fingers that we are good to go this time around.

Hey Girls! I have been lurking, but I didn't feel like posting yesterday. Sorry for not doing SO, but I just not in the mood. I felt nausous all day yesterday and I wish I could say that it was a FPS, but it is only 5 DPO today and I think a little too early for FPS. Still feeling a little icky today.

I hope you all have a great day!!

DelSol
10-18-2006, 06:51 AM
Pride ~ good for you! Fingers crossed you got your egg.

Tenny ~ I hope you feel better.

Me ~ CD28 - 13DPO, my temp went down this morning so I expect AF tomorrow or Friday, she can grace us on our trip. I'm looking forward to moving onto next month. Will make sure DH is still onboard for every other day and see if I can get to at least DTD 2 days in a row, right around O day.

DelSol I'm sorry about AF possibly making her appearance. Mean old hag.

Tenny Sorry you are feeling yucky. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is your lucky month!

melandtim Jeez sweetie, that really sucks. I'm so sorry you are going to have to have surgery. I sure hope everything goes okay and that you and your DH will be able to get back on track quickly after everything is done. Pleaes take care of yourself.

pride I have a good feeling about you this month. Hope you caught the egg! :D

Sammy I'm not far behind you on the BD'ing schedule. I so know what you mean about the BD'ing during the week. Its an odd thing to get used to. We had a bit of trouble with that last month.

ME: CD 8. Nothing much happening. Just waiting for CD12 so we can get started with the BD fest again. On a very positive note; we had found out last month that our rent on our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment was going up from $1055 per month to $1115. To be honest, we were going to go ahead and stay put. But DH's sister's next door neighbor (who we are friends with too) told us a few days ago that she is moving and has offered to rent her house to us. For $700 a month!! With a fenced-in backyard and a hot tub!! Of course, if I get PG, the hot tub is out for me, but this is a really huge deal for us. It takes alot of pressure off of DH as far as me not working after the baby and him being the sole breadwinner. I'm so excited! We are going to look at the house tonight. I have been in it once before. Its an older home; but has a finished basement, a main floor with the master bedroom and then a very long, narrow bedroom upstairs that is more like an attic. Its not perfect, but hey, for $700 a month, I don't want to get too picky. Its in a decent neighborhood, close to DH's work and close to the route I drive to my work as well. Our lease is up in February and she is willing to wait till then to start renting it to us. I'll post updates as they happen!

I'm so far behind, just general shout outs. Sorry to those that AF found, good luck catching the egg to those waiting to O, and come on, lets get some BFPs!!

I can't access this site at work anymore, and with working from 8-8 its really hard to check when I get home, so I can only really get here on my days off, sorry! CD 14 for me, which doesn't mean much, we are starting the BDing, probably will be every other day, or every third day, if we get to CD 55 or so with no AF then we may start every day or at least every other, but we'll see. Nothing else really going on here. I won't be around tomorrow but friday through sunday I should be here. Anyone testing soon??

looty
10-18-2006, 01:45 PM
Mel~Sorry to hear that you have to have surgery. That is nice that your dr is letting you wait until later so you can go to your competitions. Good luck with both the comps and the surgery. Keep us posted.

Sam~Yay for some EWCM! I hope that your DH can keep up and that you get a clear BFP on your OPK soon! Have fun while trying to catch that egg!;)

Pride~I hope that you catch the egg in the next couple days too. Here's to a BFP in 2 weeks!:D

Tenny~Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. I was in the same boat yesterday, but it seems mine is a head cold. I hope we both feel better soon!

Delsol~Sorry you think AF is on her way. I hope you are wrong and that it is just a temp dip. IF she does come I hope oyur DH is still onboard too!

jimmysgirl~That is great news about you getting to stay in your friend's house. Saving money is always a good thing! I would love to stay home when we have kids but we just can't swing that right now. Poop!

Chelsea~Sorry you can't get on at work any more. I really don't get a chance to get on much if at all at work since I am a teacher so I understand. It would be even harder if I had little ones running around at home that needed my attention. I hope your cycle this month is shorter!

I am sitting here at 11DPO. I was having some cramping yesterday night and this morning so I though that AF may be on her way. Nothing. I am not even spotting yet, which is good. I don't always spot so it isn't totally unusual but it is nice to not have. Something that was funny is when I complained that it hurt my bbs when my DH hugged me this morning, he informed me I better go to the doctor because that is not normal. :p I reminded him that my bbs are always a little tender after O and he repied, "Not that tender!" Little did he know he put more hope into my heart/mind with that phrase. I am sure if he knew that he would have avoided saying that because he always worries about me getting my hopes up too much. If I don't get AF or a lot of cramping by Saturday, I will probably test. Everyone please pray or keep your fingers crossed or whatever you do to help someone out. I am really hoping this is it!

Mel - I'm so sorry to hear about you having to have surgery, I know how crappy that can be but I also know how much better I felt after doing it (I had a uterine fibroid removed a year and a half ago). Have fun with your competitions and try not to overdo it!

Looty - I just sent up some mondo prayers for you girl! I really hope this is it for you :) .

Thanks everyone for commiserating with me on the cover-stealing issue ;) . I think I'm going to try the extra blanket on my side of the bed tactic after waking up cold yet again this morning.

I'm probably 6 or 7 DPO, no symtoms or anything, just hoping and praying for a July baby.

looty - I really hope there is a reason for your BBs hurting so much. I'll cross my fingers that AF stays away from you!

DelSol - Sorry that you think AF is on her way. Damn witch!!!

Me - CD 12 today. Need to get some BDing in tonight...hopefully! If not tonight then definitely tomorrow!!!! I noticed a bit of EWCM yesterday when I checked internally, but the majority there was creamy. My BBs are getting fuller (not as floppy) LOL and I noticed that my nipples are starting to get a bit sensitive too so maybe that means O is on its way. I really do hope so. I'd love to say that Clomid helped me O early. Oh and you guys would probably be the only ones that understand this but for the hell of it I decided to see how far away 8 weeks would be from my last AF. Well that puts me into the beginning of December which would be PERFECT timing to announce that we were PG. My family does a HUGE get together on xmas eve which would be a week before my 2nd trimester started so it would be the perfect place and time to announce the PG to the entire family. I sure hope I'm able to do that.

FSUSammy~ I hope that Clomid worked. SOunds very promising. And your not the only one who dreams about that. jimmysgirl~ Aww thanks. That is awesome that you found a great place to live for so cheap!

Me~ CD14 here. Didn't get to BD last night, we were both so out of it. Both of us have half a day since I'm leaving for business travel tomorrow morning. So I'm hoping that maybe we can get some in this afternoon before my parents show up. ;)

Sorry I don't have more time but I just wanted to say that good luc to everyone because it looks like a lot of us are getting pretty far along in our 2ww. I hope we have a lot of good news rolling into this thread!

dancn226 - Crossing my fingers for you girl! I hope you come on here with a great announcement today.

RP from Charting:

Me - CD 13 today. Kinda concerned because my temp went up today to 97.8 but I still have fertile CM and am having O pains on my right side. So far all OPKs have been negative. I'm concerned because if my temp stays up the next 2 days Ovusoft might call O yesterday, and I don't think I really did O yet. I think its coming VERY soon. DH and I did not BD last night per his request. He told me that he was exhausted and didn't want to before we even turned the lights out in our room so at least I didn't get a big fat rejection. I have to BD tonight, no questions asked!!!! Oh and I did a very interesting experiment last night when I did my 8pm OPK. I used my strips from early-pregnancy-tests.com and used one of my answer opks. Well the strip came back with a very very faint pink test line whereas the Answer OPK came back with an almost dark enough test line. I don't know if I trust the strips anymore. Has anyone had this happen to them?

HEW?B Welcome!!

DelSol So when are you going to test? 14DPO sounds good!

dancn226 I hope AF stays away!!! Are you testing today? I hope you get your BFP and July baby!!

ceaserbride That is so great that you had such good timing this month. I hope this is it for you!!

FSUSammy I think if the OPKs are still neg then you haven't Oed yet. That’s interesting about the OPK test. I have only used the $ store OPK and early-pregnancy-tests.com OPK, but not during the same month.

docoNY Glad to see you back! I hope you can get the BD and rest you need this weekend!!

As for me....I'm 7DPO and feeling NOTHING!! I think I'm going to test on Monday, which will be 10 DPO. I will try to wait longer, but as you all know I'm weak and also a POAS addict!

Hey girls, just wanted to let you know, that so far no AF.....that doesn't mean anything though. She could make her apperace any day. I am wondering though, if I got a + opk on Fri and Sat, and nothign on Sunday, techanillly I o'd later than i though, so AF could just be late because of that. So I am just going to wait if she doesn't show up by like Monday or Tues I will then test!!!

Sammy, I hope you get some BDing tonight and catch the egg, Christmas Eve would be a great day to tell the family! Interesting articles, thanks for sharing, I always tell DH that I can’t be on top because gravity will make the sperm go the wrong way:p . Don’t know what to tell ya on the OPKs, I don’t trust them anymore (although I will probably buy another pack soon:rolleyes: )

Delsol, I hope AF stays away, that damn witch

Looty, I’ve got everything crossed for you, I really hope this is your month, when are you testing?

Pride&prejudice, hope you were able to get some BDing in before your parents showed up

Tenny, good luck in the rest of your 2ww, I hope it flies by, good luck on Monday

Dancn, I’ve got my fingers crossed that AF stays away, a July baby would be perfect for you, wouldn’t it, good luck!

Ceaser, good luck in your 2WW, I hope you were able to catch the egg

Heather, Welcome, I hope your stay is short and sweet!

docoNY, hope you were able to catch the egg last night, good luck

Ok, I think I got just about everyone

Me, CD 16, I know I haven't O'd yet, probably not even close to Oing, I started charting yesterday, but today I laid in bed trying to get DH to wake up for work and I think my temp was way off because of it, 97.22 yesterday, 97.75 today. I will need to put the thermometer in my mouth before I try to wake him up from now on I guess. I stopped charting the cycle before last because dh thought it was getting to technical and didn't want that to happed, he just wanted to see what happens, we are still doing that but with as long as my cycles are, I really waste a lot of money on hpts when I haven't even O'd, so I think he is finally of board with me temping.

Chelsea I hope you O soon! And I'm glad your DH is on-board for you temping; its definitely a good idea when your cycles are so long. Keep up with the BD'ing so you don't miss your chance!

dancn Keeping my fingers crossed that you come back with good news for us next week!

tenny Also got my fingers crossed for you too! Good luck and I hope you get a BFP on Monday!

docoNY Have fun with BD'ing! Know what you mean about needing a weekend break. This week has been soooooooo long!

Sammy I've never used the strips, so I can't answer except to say that you aren't the first woman here that has noted problems with them. I hope you get a postive soon though!

looty Really hoping AF stays away for you!

Welcome Heather! Hope your stay here is nice and short!

ceaser Hope your 2WW goes really quick and that you get good news at the end of it!

pride Have fun with your parents and I hope you and your DH were able to DTD before they arrived. Do they know you guys are trying?

ME: CD10 and operation BD will commence on Sunday. Gotta make sure I remind DH so he doesn't drink too much during football that day. Otherwise he could have a hard time... err.....finishing things up. ;)

BABYDUST to all of us this weekend!! :D

HEW?B: Welcome! I hope your stay here is very short.

DelSol: I hope AF stays away!

dancn226: I have my fingers crossed for you. This month sounds like it would perfect timing for you.

ceaserbride: I hope that this is your month!

FSUSammy: Wow that makes you wonder doesnt it? I just started this month using dollar store OPK's and I only had one day where it was a definite yes. The rest of the days were really really light. I wonder if I should compare with other brands.

docoNY: Glad you are back.

Tenny: I'm with you on being POAS addict. I've wanted to test since 1DPO. I know it wouldnt show anything...but its so hard waiting.

Chelsea: Let us know how charting goes for you. Im still on the fence with it. I've considered it but still think we will wait a bit longer.

Me: Nothing much is going on here. Im 5DPO and these two weeks couldnt go fast enough. My BB's are sooooo sore, but Im convinced my body is still confused after going off BC.

My BB's are sooooo sore, but Im convinced my body is still confused after going off BC.

You have my sympathies, trust me! I just went off the pill in August and my first two cycles have been absolutely miserable because of BB tenderness. I've had some days where it hurt just to get up and walk anywhere.

Hello Everyone!

Sam - I've noticed the same thing when I use the strips. I'm the type where the test line gets darker until it's positve, but every time I use a strip they are completely blank except for the non-test line. I think that's pretty suspicious.

Welcome Heather!!! Hope your stay is short and sweet!

I was dreaming yet again last night about pink lines. It was a really odd test and you had to get three pink lines on one side and two pink lines on the other for it to be positive. I even had to look at the directions in my dream to interpret it. But it was positive. How I wish that could be real :p . I guess I'll see in about a week.

I am going to sent out a big group hello because I am still trying to get to know all of you and to figure out how all of this works.

DH and I are soooo new at all this stuff and it feels funny to be able to talk about it so openly!! Exciting but a little funny. The thing I am having the hardest time with is not becoming obsessive about it. I am a very goal oriented and driven person and when I get my mind set on something, it tends to be all I think about. I know that this will make DH crazy as he very much wants this to be a relaxed process. How do you all deal with this? I think this board will be a big help because instead of talking to him about it all the time, I can talk to all of you.

The big thing at the moment is that I think I should O next week and I am already feeling like we need to BD around the clock. DH is very happy about that but at the same time, I think I am making him feel like it is a bit of a job. I think I need to relax a bit. How do the rest of deal with this? Thanks so much!!

Hello All!

Welcome Heather!

CD15... started the BD fest last night. Surprisingly I'm not as crazed/scared/anxious/overly obsessing about every bodily twitch as I was last time around. Guess I had to get that first month under my belt.

Had my annual physical this week and my NP says to "have sex every other day"... and the typical "try for one year". OY.. okay....

Everyone have a great weekend!

dancn226 Ya for no AF! I guess if you did O later then normal then AF will be late too.

Chelsea Ya I think trying to wake your DH you could affect your temp. Glad DH is on board with charting.

jimmysgirl424 Good luck with the BD fest!

KrissyCat7 I have to talk myself out of PIAS everyday. I guess there are worst problems to have.

Lanapoo I hope your dream is right!

HEW?B The great thing about this place is I can obsess here and then not drive DH crazy! I think that is what a lot of us do!

Well I had a two co-workers ask me if I was pg today. The story is kind of funny. We went to lunch at this deli and driving over there I said I wanted Potato Soup and if they don't have it I'm leaving. Well we get there and the line is out the door. But I peak my head in and I'm exited to see Potato soup on the board. Don't you know I'm the next person in line and the lady comes out and takes the Potato Soup sign off the board. I felt the tears instantly start welling up in my eyes. Then I think to myself I can't start crying over Potato soup. Then the next thing I know I have tears rolling down my face. Then I start laughing at myself and tell myself this is completely stupid and the more I try not to cry the harder I start to cry. I ended up getting out of line and didn't order anything. In the mean time all my co-workers are looking at me and half laughing with me. On the car ride back to work my one co-worker said "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but are you pg?" I told her not that I know of. Then once I'm back at my desk another co-worker comes in my office and shuts the door and asked if I was pg. I again said not that I know of. She then laughed and said "Tenny you can be emotional, but NOT that emotional go home and take a test!" I'm so embarrassed! I also had to get my co-worker to stop at Taco Bell that way I could at least have lunch!

Tenny~I feel your pain on teh emotional stuff. Latley, if I am not pissed off at my mom for talking about my brother (like usally I NEVER care), or crying about leaving my puppy at home by herlsef? Its like WTF is going on. As for af being late, tha tis what I am chauckling it up to be right now, so we will see......

jen
10-20-2006, 11:37 AM
Oh my gosh Tenny, I'm right there with ya on Potato Soup. It is my favorite and I am always crushed when the soup place doesn't have it... and I squeal and jump up and down when they do! I gotta say I get really ticked when co-workers ask me if I'm preggo.... or actually they usually tell me I'm preggo.. um, hello, no.

Sam - I've been using the Answer OPKs or the Clear Blue ones and they both seem to be a lot more accurate than those stupid strip things.

Tenny - I'm highly suspicious of your mini food breakdown. Things that make you go hmmm :p

Bella - Thanks for the babydust!

Jen - Good luck catching the egg!

Heather - I'm not sure what advice I can give you. But for me, the first month TTC was the worst. I was a basketcase, totally convinced I was pg, crying for no reason, bleh. I find that the more cycles I have the more relaxed I am.

jimmysgirl424
10-20-2006, 11:43 AM
Tenny Okay, that potato soup story had me LOL! Maybe you should go ahead and test! :)

Bella I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering how things were going with your PG. Hope you are doing okay!

Lana Hmmm...maybe your dream is a good sign! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

jen Good luck with the BD!! Have fun!

Heather I think the biggest reason we all come here is (a)for support from other women in our situation and (b) so we don't drive our DH's crazy!! Oh, and you don't really need to BD around the clock. You will end up wearing yourself and your DH out, maybe before you even O so that when you actually NEED to BD, you don't feel like it. Every other day is good. Depending on what day you actually O, you start BD on CD 10 or 12 and then every other day up to and including the day of ovulation. Everyone does it a bit differently. Last month, we started on CD10 and ended up wearing out before I actually O'd, so we missed our chance. This month, I am going with BD'ing on CD's 12,14,16,17, 18 & 20. I'm not charting and don't know the exact day that I ovulate, which is why we are going for three days straight right in the middle of what I believe is when I O. Like I said, its different for everybody. Good luck to you! :)

10-20-2006, 02:23 PM
Sam - I just use the regular OPK's. The only time I will be buying a digital test is if I get a positive HPT and want to see the word 'pregnant' on a test :D I don't want to waste any more money on these things than I have to.

Jimmys - LOL, I wish it were sign. The only month I haven't dreamed about pink lines was last month so I'm not holding out too much hope that this could actually mean something :p I think I'm just obsessed.

Hi Ladies!

I'm back! We had a great time in AC. We broke even so no losing money for us. The drive home was nice because the leaves are changing color and it was very pretty.

We had a great dinner at PF Changs, did some gambling at the craps table and I played some slots. Then I really couldn't keep my eyes open so I went up at 11:15PM, watched the news and off to bed I went. DH played poker and hit the craps table again, he got in at 3AM. We both didn't sleep well but lucky for us check out was at noon.

Guess what?!?!?! NO AF!!!! I didn't take my BBT with me because I thought for sure AF would be here today so I have no clue what my temp was this morning. I still have a few more hours left in the day but so far she hasn't shown her ugly face. I have this glimmer of hope that it could be good news tomorrow. I'm testing tomorrow, so please keep everything crossed for me.

Sorry for the lack of shout outs, I need to go back and read a few pages.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tenny, Thats terrible of your DH:rolleyes: my DH thinks he's helping clean up by throwing out anything thats left out, unless of course its his. Good thing you have a spare for Monday

Where are our testers? Don't you know you can't keep me in suspence this long, I know its Saturday and everyone wants to sleep in, but if you are a tester you don't get to sleep in. Didn't you guys know that???:p ;)

Well, I didn't seduce DH last night, I got off the computer and a headache started coming on, turned into a full blown migrane, I was sick as could be. I am really terrible at this charting thing too, I don't think its going to work out for me. I woke up at 4 this morning because DH was leaving early for hunting, first thing I did was temp, 97.1, then I went back to bed, work up at 7:30, so I had the three hrs of sleep and it was 97.75, huge difference, I usually wake up at 5:30-6, so right in the middle, I just don't know, I went with the first temp thinking maybe I was more restless after going back to sleep, who knows.

I tested and it was BFN. :( On to the 4th cycle.

Still no AF. I don't know what to do since I had the spotting/light flow last week, do I call that AF or wait a few more days and see if she shows?

If she shows this will be one long cycle for me. I've been having headaches for a few days and cramps today. I'm also watching my CM to see if it's changing just in case AF was last week.

Congratulations Farah! I'm so happy for you and jealous too but my time will come, I hope. Next cycle is my 4th time.

Looty ~ I hope you had better luck than me.

Chelsea ~ Ha Ha, I've been so beat that I look forward to sleeping in. Sorry you didn't seduce DH last night, I can totally understand about the headaches, I've had for a few days and I'll be taking my migraine pills tonight since I got a BFN.

Tenny ~ sorry your DH threw away your HPTs and OPKs, that just stinks.

Chelsea Ya, he was just trying to be nice and clean up!

Ok I agree with Chelsea where are our testers? We need some info!!

To add to the DH throwing away my OPKs and HPTs story my brand new never used BB Thermometer was in there too. As for me I have been feeling nauseous since Tuesday and last night my nipples were so sensitive. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and also for all the other testers!!

I didn't test this morning. I just have this feeling that something isn't right, last night I was feeling crappy again, just a blah feeling. I'm not an expert on charting so I went to Baby Center and clicked on their Ovulation Calculator for the spotting I had to see what my next fertile days would be and it's tomorrow until Saturday the 28th, so I am going to see what the CM does. I'm thinking of calling my OB/GYN tomorrow and seeing what they think of my chart and see if anything is wrong with me. Nothing can be simple, just when I was able to see a clear pattern on my chart this happens. I think if they can’t help me or don’t know what’s wrong, I may stop charting and stick to SWH because I am pretty good at spotting my EWCM.

Looty - where are you girl!?!??! We are all over here dying to hear from you.

RP from Charting:

Me - CD 16 today. Temps are still low all and OPKs still coming up negative. We finally managed to BD last night. I was definitely experiencing some MAJOR clomid side effects over the weekend with the HUGE episode of depression that I had on Saturday and into Sunday morning. It's over for now. It's like a really really awful PMS-type mood swing. Not fun at all. Hopefully I'll get a positive OPK early this week. If I don't O this week then I honestly don't see the point in taking Clomid again. It's supposed to help me O earlier but so far the only sign I have of O coming is the bad o pains that I've been having on my right side.

Hi girls, sorry for the BFN Tenny, and sorry about hte temp drop Delsol~

Anyhow, today I am on cd 34 15 dpo. I am acutally 4 days late. Howerver, I am scared to death to test, I really want this to be the month, and right now, I am just holding my breath every second that she won't show. I am praying. My DH is getting really excited. I just have a feeling if I test its goin to be negitive. So, that is where I m at now. I told him to give it a few more days and we will see. Like i said on Friday, I know I o'd on Monday the 9th. So, I am not to siure what to think. How do I knowthat I o'd, the OPK told me so, So we will see. Just everyone, please pray that this is my month. It would be so perfect for me!!!

Here is the thing that scares the hell otu of me. I have no FPS signs at all. I mean when I say none I mean Nothing. So, I am sitting here confused as hell!!!! I feel things that are like cramps, but not to same. Its very werid,a nd I don't know what to think!!!!! I am just so nervous, we have been trying for 3 months now, and i want this to be it!!!!

I am going to try and wait as long as I can. I just really want this to be it, and I would rather AF show up than get a negitive...if you kno what i mean. So we will see. I hope to test on either Fri. or Sun, since DH works on Sat. But he might push me to do it sooner. He is alerady looking into buying some test for me.

Nothing from Looty yet huh!?!?!?!?

dancn OMG...I'm so keeping my fingers crossed for you!! AF being 4 days late is a great sign. I agree, I don't know how you aren't testing, but I understand your reasoning. I would probably prolong it as long as possible too!

DelSol I'm sorry about the BFN. :( I hope AF shows up quickly and goes away quickly so you can move on to the next cycle.

tenny Sorry on the BFN but I agree that its pretty early to rule out PG at this point. You are only 10DPO, so there's still a chance!

looty Where o where o where are you??? Seriously, you have all of us on pins and needles here! Get thee to CC and report in to your TTC buddies!:D

Heather Enjoy the BD'ing and I hope you catch the egg your very first try!

MexicoBride CONGRATULATIONS! :D :D Happy and healthy 9 months to you.

chelsea Sorry you are feeling so badly and I hope you feel better soon.

ME: CD13. Got started with the BD'ing yesterday am AND pm. Well, I'll be honest, the pm was more for us, if that makes sense. We weren't in a recommended TTC position ;) and besides, doesn't it take like 24 hours for a man's sperm count to build back up? I thought I had read that somewhere around here. Anyway, next BD'ing scheduled for tomorrow evening. I'm thinking we're getting really good timing; I've got the EWCM going and have been drinking green tea every night since AF ended for good measure.

dancn226
10-23-2006, 09:23 AM
Tenny~I have tested twice two monts ago, and both were BFN so I don't want to ruin my mood right now. AF can ruin my mood, but not a BFN. So we will see!!!

Sunshine~How are you feeling? Are things going good?!! I am really praying on this month. It would just be a perfect schedule with my planned dance stuido opening, that it woud be the greatest thing ever!!!

Looty~I had O pains on the Sunday that I thought. So I m pretty much going with it. And I just figure that between the pains and the + OPK that is hsould be pretty close.

So, I am feeling cramps coming and going, but not the same as AF type cramps, and i have been dealing with them since Sat? I just wish is she was going to show, she would, so this excitment would be ruined by her and not a BFN.....I really want this thing month. And, gosh, if you guys could just see how happy DH is right now, with just the mere thought, its to damn cute!!!!

dancn226~AWE, thanks for asking! I am feeling great actually! I have had it pretty lucky, in comparison with some other girls due around my time.(m/s-wise)
We got to see our little monkey on Friday the 13th, so it was a pretty good day for us:D S(he) was waving at us, so surreal! Both DH and I were fighting back the tears!
I cant wait for you all to graduate, being your 1st, 2nd or 3rd etc pregnancies! I am just so excited for you:D I hope this is it!!!!! And what better timing could you have:D
Oh yah, and I started having cramps a couple days after AF was due, they lasted until about 8 weeks or so......GOOD LUCK AGAIN!

Tenny - Sorry for the BFN but it's still way early. And just to show you how early it is, I stole this little chart from Ovusoft. At only 10 DPO there is only a 35% chance that a BFP would show even if you were pg this cycle.

Positive BFP Percentages according to dpo:
* 35% at 10dpo
* 51% at 11dpo
* 62% at 12dpo
* 68% at 13dpo
* 74% at 14dpo
* 80% at 15dpo
* 88% at 16dpo
* 92% at 17dpo

Delsol - Sorry about the temp drop :(

Dancn - Ack! Test! Test! Test! I know what you mean about no FPS though, I'm currently going through the same thing.

HEW?B - Have fun BDing ;)

Jimmys - Woo hoo! You go girl! Catch that egg!

Me - Well, here I am, probably 12DPO and I have absolutely no FPS. EVERY month that I have been off of BCP's I have had at least some kind of soreness in the BB's. This month? Nothing, nada, no gas, no bloating, etc. So of course I'm thinking that I'm totally pg! :p

ETA: Oops! Forgot about you Sunshine! I'm so glad you pop in on us every once in awhile. I admit to lurking in the May thread just to see how you're doing. I'm glad everything is going well and you got to see your little one!

tenny sorry about the BFN, I think it's early though.

sunshine I didn't have any symptoms either. Eventually, I had some spotting but AF never really materialized.

Good luck dancn.

Where is looty? Let's hope she's running around like crazy scraming that she is pg and that's why she's not on cc where she should be :D

Who did I miss? I know I missed a tester. Sorry to anyone with a BFN. Crossing my fingers for everyone waiting.

I HOPE THIS IS IT FOR YOU TOO:D:D:D
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When are you going to test?

pacificbliss~So where are you in your cycle? When are you testing?
GOOD LUCK!

HEW?B & Kym - good luck catching that egg! I'm right there with you guys.

Sunshine - That's so cool that your little one was waving Hi to you guys. Glad you are doing well.

Lana - when are you planning on testing?

Me - My 10am opk was negative again. I'll be taking another opk tonight when I get home from the work and the gym. I have been having MASSIVE cramps today. I'm talking, cramps like I've never had before kind of cramps. I notice that most of my pain is when I go pee and forget it when I try to stand up straigh, OUCH! I hope this means I'll be getting a positive opk soon enough.

Sunshine - Thanks for reinforcing my belief that I'm pg :D I'm not sure what to believe though since my symptoms are different every month. But yes, the one consistant pms symptom has been sore BB's. I keep touching them expecting to feel it :p !

Sam - Hopefully your ovaries are gearing up to O! I've heard that OPK's taken in the afternoon and at night are more likely to catch the LH surge. So good luck tonight!

Testing - I'm not sure when I'll be testing. I don't really have a desire to at this point. AF is due on Wednesday so maybe I'll test in the morning if I remember. I really don't want to see a BFN. I think that would make me really sad now that I've convinced myself that I'm pg ;) .

FSUSammy~It was SO COOL! And what was even cooler (:p) was that our baby LOOKED like a baby at 11w! SO neat!

Lana~LMAO! I'm here to help (or not help...):p LOL! I would actually jump up and down to test the soreness:p And every morning they wouldnt hurt.
I'd be jumping up and down in front of my mirror saying "They still dont hurt honey" and he'd be looking at me like he might be needing to admit me! LMAO!

Welcome Katie!

CD18
So I'm in the midst of convincing myself I'm infertile. Can someone please talk to me about EWCM. I got none. Zip, zero, nada... for the past several months. I used to have a little for at least one day a month, and always noticed it, but wasn't TTC. Now that I am TTC, I have nothing. What's up with Green Tea.... does it help? How much of it do I have to drink? Is one cup a day enough?

I should have had some sign of O'ing over the weekend, but alas, nothing. I know this is only month 2, but I've always had a feeling I would have trouble getting pregnant. I'm 32 and my mom started early onset menopause in her mid-late 30's.... sighhhh... someone talk me down off the cliff! :o

FSUSammy

Welcome Katie! Hope your stay here is short and sweet.

Jen - Do you check your CM internally?? If you don't I HIGHLY recommend it. I rarely get any EWCM that comes all the way down. Every once in awhile I'll get lucky. Usually I'll find some (when there is some of course) when I check internally. Also regarding the green tea, I believe it does work. This cycle since I'm on clomid (it is known to dry up CM) I've been using Mucinex daily as well as green tea pills. I don't like the taste of green tea and was happy to see they have them in pill form. It's been working fabulously!

Katie&Micah~Welcome!

jen~I agree with FSUSammy...I checked internally, and alot of the time I wouldnt have even know I had any CM if it werent for that.
I used Grapefruit juice. It was suposed to increase your fertile CM. I may be crazy, but it worked for me:p You are suposed to drink REAL GFruit juice everyday after AF leaves until you O....
GOOD LUCK!

I just took my OPK test and it's positive so I guess I'll be Oing within the next 24 hours or so. I was doing laundry and felt my cheeks go flush and I felt hot. I can't find my thermometer anywhere but I feel like my temperature was rising so I took the OPK. I'm so excited since I haven't really ovulated the past two cycles. Can't wait for DH to get home!!!!!!!

dancn226 I'm so sorry! :(

Katie&Micah Welcome!!!!

TennyThank you!!!! I'm so excited right now just to be ovulating! :p

jen My mother started going through menopause when she was in her late 30's and it's always weighed heavy on my mind. I'm 32 as well. I also don't have much EWCM but I haven't tried green tea just yet. If this cycle is a no go then I'll be downing for the next. I don't have much advice, but I am in the same boat.

I know I've missed others, I'm sorry!

Hey ladies. CD 17 here. OPKs last night were once again negative. My temp was also extremely down this morning. I'm thinking its because the house was colder because we had a cold front move through last night. So that means that I have at least another night to BD. I'm trying to not let this frustrate me though because that's not going to do anything. Be back later.

CD19 for me and another annovulatory cycle for me so I guess no big deal that we weren't trying this month. Thanks for the well wishes. I am actually looking forward to my surgery next week so I can actually eat. I feel so miserable all the time :(

Have we heard from looty yet?? I kept coming back to check all day yesterday. Did I miss her somewhere?

dancn I really feel for you. It can be sooooooooo frustrating, especially when many others seem to be able to get pregnant with ease, some that aren't even trying. It sucks, but try to keep in mind that you are only 3 months into this. Sunshine caught the egg in her fourth cycle of trying, as did MexicoBride. Maybe it will be lucky number four for you too!! :) Hang in there sweetie.

Sammy Hope you get that positive OPK soon! Keep on BD'ing, girl!!

melandtim Sorry you are feeling so lousy and I hope that your surgery goes smoothly next week. Thanks for coming back in here to cheer the rest of us on!

DelSol Hope the hag shows soon so you can get on to the next cycle.

allison Congrats on the positive OPK! Hope you got the good BD'ing in last night and that you and your DH catch that egg!!:D

I had to tell my DH that news yesterday, and it was quite sad because he was telling me about how he had this dream that we had a girl and everything, it is just so diappointing. But hey whatever. He came to the conclusion, that he needs to take a month off so we can do this, and no have to worrya bout getting a + opk, and him being at work. Dancn I am so sorry about AF, you have every right to be pissed, I'm pissed for you:mad: BDing duty sounds like an excellent excuse to get out of work!!

Mel Good luck on your surgery, I hope you can bounce back and get back to ttc soon

Kym Good luck on catching the egg!

Sammy I hope you O soon and catch that egg, good luck!

Delsol Have you tested anymore? Any spotting at all? I hope AF shows soon if she's going too, but still holding out a little hope for you

HEW?B Have fun catching the egg, good luck

allison Yay for the positive OPK, I hope you can catch the egg

Jen I never get EWCM unless I check internally, but there are quite a bit of stuff you can try to increase it, grapefruit juice, green tea, mucinex, give one of them a shot, and just because you don't have EWCM doesn't mean you aren't Oing so keep bding just in case

Lana are you still planning on testing tomorrow? Good luck, I hope AF stays away!!

Tenny Any new symptoms? When do you plan on testing again?

Me, feeling much better today, although now my son stayed home from school sick so I missed work again, oh well. my BBs have been tender and I have been a litte crampy down low on my left side, so I am hoping that O is soon. We BDed this morning and hopefully we will again tomorrow. I forgot to temp this morning, woke up an hour early because my son said he was sick and didn't temp before I got up, oh well, if I do O soon then with the few temps I got that weren't completely off probably wouldn't have been able to tell anything, I may go pick up some opks today if I get out of this sick filled house.

Quick question ladies. I bought preseed to use this cycle since I'm on clomid and I had heard that it dries up your cm. Well it hasn't dried mine up at all. Should I bother using preseed if I have plenty of CM???

Thanks!

Chelsea524

Makes you wonder why you tried to hard back then. But I understand your frustration! Hang in there! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for this new cycle!!

DelSol 18 DPO is really good. Any sign of AF or a BFP??

ME: Well I'm 11 DPO and I must have picked up some will power from this thread because I didn't test this morning. I think I'm going to wait until Friday. By Friday AF should be here...I think. good luck to those catching the egg!!

KrissyCat7

Does KY actually hurt/hinder the sperm?

Also, is it possible to O more than once in a month? I believe I have read that you can O more than once within 24 hours of eachother...but what about weeks apart? I got to thinking about this the other day.

Im 9DPO and this 2ww has been killer.

FSUSammy
10-24-2006, 01:11 PM
Krissy - I'm sure there are plenty of women that have gotten pregnant with KY. Are you using KY externally only? If so there shouldn't be any problems. Lube should be a problem only if you have a need for it internally to supplement your CM. I'm pretty sure its not possible to O weeks apart.

KrissyCat7

Hi ladies,

I am new to this whole board. I wanted to say hi. Here are my stats, I thikn this is all of them

Me: Kelly
Him: Greg
Age: me 25, him 26
Married 6/24/06
kids: none, one dog
Last M/C: N/a
Off BC: September 2006

What I mean when I say thought October 2006, is we were all set to try, then we heard I had a bad pap smear and needed a biopsy, so I had to take care of that. Apparently the pap came back pretty bad, so they are worried about the biopsy. It can come back as a level 1, 2, or 3 and last time it came back as level 1. That is what we are hoping for this time, although the pap was worse this time so they aren't sure. I had the biopsy last Thursday and am supposed to call the office this Thursday to see if I hear anything.....

Sorry I haven't been around ladies. I have been pretty sick. I have a head cold or the flu or a sinus problem....feels like all of those. :(

I got Af on Sunday on top of it. I was crying to Dh on Sunday night because I felt so bad. It freaked him out pretty bad. :o I blame it on not being sick too often (at least not really sick) and the hormones.

I am cheering for all of you ladies and will be around more often when my head quits spinning and I can actually breathe.

Welcome Kelly, hope your stay here is short and sweet! When will you have your biopsy results back?? I had the same thing happen to me several years back.

looty - Damn that AF. I was really starting to think that you were avoiding us because you were too excited. Sorry that on top of AF you got a really back cold. I hope you get better soon!!!

RP from charting:

Me - CD 18 today. OPKs are all still negative. I'm tempted just to stop taking them because it is just soooooo disappointing to go day to day seeing negatives twice a day. I don't know what I'm going to do yet but I need to decide quickly. I might call up my ob/gyn today to see what they say about all this. Its been 12 days since my last clomid pill and I should have O'd by now. I have no stress that would delay it really. I was reading something last night that said that your pituitary gland is what produces the LH and it got me wondering if maybe I have something wrong with that. I don't know I'm trying not to get myself down over this but its so hard not to. Oh yeah and we didn't BD last night either like I wanted to. Thankfully this morning's temp was still down which means I still have a chance tonight.

Happy Birthday Mel. Welcome to new faces. Hope you are here only a shot time!!! Hope everyone else is catching the egg or at least having fun trying.

As for me, today is 14 days from my last period but I really think I ovulated yesterday. Please tell me if this sounds weird but I really think I could feel it. I am not charting or taking my temps because this is my first month off the pill but I just had these sort of pain/pulling feelings especially on my left side. Does that sound nuts??? Do others think they can feel when they are ovulating? We tried to catch the egg and I think we did it at all the right times. Now what should I be looking for??? What types of things should I hope to feel if I did catch the egg. I know the classic ones but this soon is there anything that I may feel???

Not weird at all... some women can feel when they ovulate! I can... or at least I think that's what is happening! ;)
As for feeling things immediately after catching the egg.... I'm not totally sure... Others can correct me if I'm wrong but it actually takes 5-10 days for implantation to happen... so you normally wouldn't feel anything until after that. I have heard of woman who could feel the actual implanation---like a sharp pulling pain.
GOOD LUCK!! I know during my first 2WW I was so acutely aware of every flicker in my body I drove myself nuts. I had conviced myself I was preggo and then AF showed up right on time! :o Try and stay busy for the next 2 weeks!

Update on me since I was MIA in here yesterday:

I called my OB/GYN and left a message for the nurse yesterday. As of right now I haven't heard back from them. It looks like I could be having an annov cycle right. I hate to test again and see a BFN, so I was hoping to get some bloodwork done but the nurse needs to call me so I know what my next steps are.

looty ~ sorry about AF. I hope you feel better soon.

mel ~ Happy Birthday! I hope you do something fun to celebrate.

HEW?B ~ if you O'd your CM will dry up. Nope doesn't sound nuts, I can feel when I am Oing, you'll get some pains on one side. I hope you caught the egg.

Thanks for the warm welcomes ladies!! I do have a question for you, sorry for the dumb questions, but I am new at this.

I see that most of you have journals - are they cc journals? If so, how do I get to them and how do I start my own? Thanks!!!

Hey ladies. Just got a call back from my ob/gyn nurse. She told me that the pains I'm experiencing could very well be follicular cysts. She said that its possible that the doctor might want to do an ultrasound to verify that. So I went ahead and got their next appointment which isn't until tomorrow at 1pm. So we'll see what they say tomorrow.

I see that most of you have journals - are they cc journals? If so, how do I get to them and how do I start my own? Thanks!!!

You won't be able to see the journal threads or make a journal until you reach 10 posts, once you get to ten then you will be able to see the journal threads, they are at the bottom of the main forum page. You can set up a new thread for your journal, its separated by like, a-c, d-e, you would be in the one for L's.

Sammy good luck at the dr tomorrow, hope its nothing serious

DelSol, hope you hear back from the nurse soon

Not much new for me, CD 21, didn't get any BDing in last night and probably won't for a few days, DH is now sick with what I had plus he got the cold my boys have. I have been cramping like crazy the last couple days, not sure what that is, I have no idea if I have already O'd or not.

Hello everyone!

Welcome Loving and Kelly!!!

Happy Birthday Mel!!!

Looty - Sorry about AF :(

Sam - Hopefully they figure out what's going on tomorrow.

Chelsea - Sorry about all the colds going around your house!

Delsol - Hope you figure out what your body is up to this cycle.

HEW?B - I can feel ovulation pains too, but the trick is they can show up before, during, or after you O. And that makes is kind of hard to pin point. I was convinced I O'd on CD14 because that's when I felt the pain. But when I started charting last cycle I realized that I was really Oing around CD12 but not feeling the O pain until two days later.

Me - Okay, so I screwed up this morning and forgot to temp. I dreamed that I did but didn't actually do it :p . So I don't know if AF is coming today or not. Then I forgot to test. I did test on Monday night but I think it was too early. PMS symptoms have arrived in the form of that oh so wonderful bloated feeling. Still nothing else though. I guess I'll try to remember to test tomorrow if AF hasn't made it yet.

Repeat from Charting:

I was able to get a hold of the nurse.

She was actually nice considering the ones I have run into are mean.

She talked to me about the annov cycle and that women do have them but when you are TTC it's not what you want to hear. She's not worried about my cycle right now since I don't have any nauseas or breast tenderness. I set up a consultation appointment with them to go over the TTC and what to look for, I figure this will help me put my mind at ease. I told her I was charting and she said I should bring my charts with me also and to not stop charting. She also said I could bring DH, I'll bring it up to him but I have a feeling he won't go, I know he'll go to the pregnancy appointments but this one I don't know. I'll be going next week on 11/2. I could have had an appointment on Monday but it was for 11:30AM and that's kinda hard for me to get to with working so I opted for the 11/2 at 4PM, this way I can leave work early and not worry about getting back on time.

I know the month is almost over but I'm joining now so I'm all ready for November.

Me: Jennifer (34) - July 19
DH: Bill (42)
Married: May 25, 2003
Last BCP: 12/05
TTC since: Summer 2006

We would have started trying earlier but we found out you had to have sex to try! So now that's all taken care of. My last two cycles have been really out of whack so it's hard to tell what's going on. Thinking of starting to chart but was hoping to not go that route. I wouldn't mind learning more about my body but I'm afraid I'll become obsessed over the whole thing and I really don't want that to happen. So we'll see. But as I mentioned, I'm 34...can't wait forever. I just think it's interesting that now that I really could be pregnant, my cycles are crazy. Last one was 40 days and this one I'm on like day 45 or something. Took a test this morning but it was negative and I don't feel pregnant. So I just wish AF would hurry up so I could try again!

Jenn welcome!! I hope you don't have to stick around to long

Delsol glad you were able to talk to the nurse, are you going to test again or just wait for your appt? FF seems convinced that you did O, I really have no idea, I can't read charts very well, I figure thats what FF is for, right?

Lana I hope AF stays away, I forgot to temp too, but with the fever the previous two days I figure I might just need to wait til next month to start again.

Me, well, I checked CM this afternoon and had quite a bit of EWCM and my cervix was extreamly high, soft and open!!! So I think whether DH wants to or not we are going to BD tonight.

Jenn (and Bill) ~ Welcome!

Chelsea ~ I'm just going to wait it out until my appointment. Nurse didn't seem to think I was PG so I'll wait. Any other time I'd be so happy AF wasn't here but not that we're TTC, I'm like oh come on and get here so I move onto the next cycle. That's what I can't figure out FF thinks I O but AF is a no show, nurse said every now and then, women get annov cycles so it's not abnormal to not get AF but it sucks it had to happen when we are TTC. Woo hoo for EWCM!

I did notice my CM is changing again, let's see if I get EWCM, if I do I'm jumping on the BDing bandwagon again.

Happy Birthday Mel! I hope your birthday got better after your post earlier.

Welcome Jenn! Anotehr STL lady! I love to see it! Don't you hate how your cycles are all of a sudden out of whack! It stinks!

Thanks to everyone for the get well wishes. They must have worked pretty well because I am feeling much better. I am still not 100% but I can actually function now.

I took my first Clomid yesterday and I didn't have any side effects that I noticed. Like I said though I am not feeling 100% so even if there was something I probably wouldn't have attributed it to Clomid.

Good luck to everyone who is bd'ing and testing soon (Lana and anyone else)! I hope we end October with a bang!

Thanks Looty and Lanapoo! Unfortunately I ended up spending my Bday alone. It was pretty sucky :(

Looty - glad you are feeling better!! Good luck with the Clomid.

Jenn - welcome!

Good luck Chelsea!! Hope your DH and sons feel better soon.

Sammy - good luck with your appointment today!

CD20 for me. I am wondering if being sick the last 2 cycles has screwed them up and that's why I am not O'ing? Have been getting cramping but not sure if its gallbladder related or AF hopefully coming early.

Jenn (and Bill)- Welcome!!! Hope your stay here is short and sweet. Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility??? If not I'd highly recommend it. Not so much for the charting info in it but for the general info about your body. I learned sooooooo much from that book over the last year.

Chelsea - Hope you were able to BD last night!

looty - Hope your experience with clomid is MUCH better than mine!

RP from Charting:

Me - CD 19 today. Still having some bad o pains. At times they are painful and make you stop in your tracks but thankfully its not all the time. I'm looking forward to my appointment today. I'm really hoping he does an ultrasound. My temp went up today from 97.2 yesterday to 97.6 today. Not sure if that means anything really. All OPKs are still VERY negative. I'll take another one today around 10am. I might have to run out on Friday and buy some more OPKs if I don't get a positive soon. I was hoping to BD last night but DH was VERY exhausted. He has been VERY tired lately and he thinks he's not getting enough sleep so he took a sleeping pill last night to help. I just hope that I get a positive opk before I do O that way I can definitely demand to BD otherwise we will more than likely completely miss our chance this month. The whole thing with DH basically turning me down is really making me reconsider taking clomid next cycle (if there is a next cycle of course).

Thanks for the welcome girls!

I did plan on buying TCOYF. Right now, I feel like it's all so futile. Well, not futile. But a crap shoot, you know. The OPKs and temping tell when you're going to O but you have to BD before you O and sometimes you don't O and everyone is different. So isn't the lesson to just BD every day? Wow, I just used a lot of abbreviations.

Anyway, today is CD 46 or 47. I've lost count. September 10th seems like a REALLY long time ago. But I still feel like it could show up anytime. Maybe today will be my lucky day.

I guess every once in a while, people get lucky and even win at craps. So I'll keep going.

P.S. Looty, I grew up in STL but don't live there now. Still have family there so I spend more time there than necessary!

I'll be back for SO's later. Just needed to vent if thats okay. I'm feeling really let down by DH at the moment. At the beginning of the BD'ing week, he was all gung-ho and ready to go, as I mentioned in previous posts. HA! Well, here it is Thursday, CD 16 and we haven't BD successfully since Sunday, CD12. He fell asleep on the couch Monday night. Tuesday morning, he wakes me up and we try to BD. He is unable to 'finish'. Tuesday night, he fell asleep on the couch early. Woke me up on Wednesday morning, only to repeat what happened Tuesday morning. Last night, we had pool league plus we had spent the whole afternoon at the hospital visiting my sister. I specifically asked him not to drink too much so we could BD when we got home. Yeah, right. Something like 10 beers later, we head home and DH craps out yet again. :( I'm really pi$$ed. Plus, I'm wondering WTF is going on in his head. This is the second month in the row he's been all ready to go and then totally flaked out during the crucial time period. Why? Is he wanting a baby but some part of him doesn't and keeps him from DTD with me?

Sorry, but I'm feeling hurt, let down and very confused right now. And I'm afraid to even bring it up to him for fear of putting him on the defensive and ruining any chance at all of BD'ing tonight. But I feel like if I don't, I'm going to explode. I'm sitting here at work and I am an emotional wreck between worrying about my sister and being so upset about me and DH. :(

jimmysgirl424~I'm so sorry:( It could be that the idea of "baby making" versus "Making Love" could be freaking him out, whether he realizes it or not....I think my husband sort of went through the same thing.......Maybe DONT tell him it is time to BD....maybe that might help?
Either way, I am so sorry:( HUGS

Kym ~ (((HUGS))) I've written that post a time or two. It's very hurting because you both want to make a baby but your DH doesn't want to DTD. I don't think men realize the importance in timing and DTD. After a major blow up from my DH, I asked if he was ok DTD every other day and not every day, he did say yes. Now when the time comes and my cycle gets back to normal and we DTD, I'll see if makes a difference. I knew when my next fertile days were and the days I could possible O so I started counting back 4 days before O, say it was on CD15. I figured we could BD on CD12, CD14 & CD16 and catch my O if it occurred on CD15. I would ask him if he wants to know when your fertile time is and see what he says. Depending on his answer you could either tell him or have to seduce him. With seducing him it could go either way, because he won't know it's the BDing time of the month.

Oh Kym I feel your pain :( My DH did this 2 me 3 months in a row. He would work late and I would tell him you have to wake me up and he never would. One day I boiled over and layed into him. I don't know your Dh but I had to sit mine down and explain how frustrating this was and he was totally ruining our chances. I told him he had to make a choice either we are TTC or not and there is no half ass about it. I wish you luck, I just think guys don't understand the emotions that we go through with this. I hope your sister is ok.

RP from charting:

Hey ladies. I'm back from my appt. I'm kinda irritated. I didn't get an u/s or anything. The doc felt internally and insists that I've O'd. I told him that I've been taking opks twice a day and they have all been negative and he said that opks don't work with clomid, that's weird because I've heard of MANY women that use opks with clomid. WTF! Then....I told him that I don't have any of the normal symtpoms that I have every cycle after I O and he still insisted that I probably O'd over the weekend. I didn't tell him that I'm charting because I don't want him to really piss me off by telling me that charting doesn't work. Well regardless he wants me to get a sonogram next Friday to check to see if my ovaries are back to normal. And since the doc isn't in the office that same day I have to go back for a follow up appointment that following monday. Oh yeah and he insists on doing a PG test next Friday too. Ugh I'm so frustrated now!!!

Sam - I hope you get some BDing in before you O!

Delsol - Sorry about the possible annov cycle. Hope you O soon or AF comes so you can start over.

Welcome Jenn! Hope your stay is short and sweet. And I hope that AF comes for you soon so you can jump on the BD Bandwagon with the rest of us :)

Chelsea - Yay for some fertile signs!

Looty - I hope the Clomid helps.

Mel - Sorry about the crappy B-day hopefully on your next you'll be holding your son or daughter :)

Tenny - I'm sorry AF showed up!

Jimmys - Wow, you've got a lot on your plate right now. I hope DH shapes up soon, maybe it's time for a heart to heart with him about what's going on in his head. I'm sorry to hear about your sister :( . My aunt has MS, she's been diagnosed for about 18 years. She found out right after she had her second son. She's still walking and doing okay. She has a hard time but just the other day she made us coffee and walked it over to the table. Pretty good for someone who's been living with it as long as she has. They have much better drugs for MS now than when my aunt was diagnosed, including a series of three drugs (the ABC drugs) that are supposed to help stop or slow the progression. There's always something new coming out so if your sis has MS then she needs to get on the MS message boards and be active in her care, because every time you hear something on the news about a new drug for MS my aunt tells me that she's known about that for years.

Me - And this is why I'm on the road to Crazyville along with Jimmys and Mel! My body hates me. That can be the only explanation for what's going on. Well, everyone got half their wish right. AF stayed away, temp was still up this morning, but.....BFN. WTF  ! I'm either pg, but not enough to show up on the test or I O'd later than I thought and AF will be on her way in a couple of days. My bloated pms symptom from yesterday is gone and I'm tired of wondering what is going on...

Lanapoo
10-26-2006, 11:17 AM
Sam - You snuck in on me. I'm sorry to hear that your appointment didn't go well. If you don't have a temp jump to indicate O then I don't think you O'd! I have heard of OPK's not being accurate on Clomid but a lot women are able to get an accurate response. I know my friend did this month, blazing positive.

FSUSammy
10-26-2006, 11:19 AM
Lana - You snuck in on me too!!! LOL I think my doc doesn't know what he's talking about. Granted he's no RE so maybe that's my prob. But I think its too soon to see an RE, don't you? Sorry about the BFN girlie.

FSU- That sucks about the dr. I am anxious ot her what the rest of the results are. I dont think you would O and not have a temp change.

Lanapoo - Sorry about the BFN but keep us updated. Maybe it's still too early....

Me - I have good news. Got a call from the dr this morning that my biopsy came back a level 1, meaning all clear, well, not all clear, but we can wait it out for 6 months to see what happens. She still wanted me to come in on 11/15 to discuss my options, and while she may recommend treatment, we have decided to try to get pg and then have a treatment afterwards. So woohoo. I missed it this month, we did try this month, but I think I feel AF coming in the next week or so, so next month we are IN!!!

Hello All!!! Who ever saif that TTC was easy had obviously not spoken to all of us!!!

I think it is such a hard call on if we should tell of Dhs that it is BD time or just seduce them. I don't want my DH to feel obligated to sex like it is a job rather than something fun so I have tried to just seduce him. We I do that, he says, are you just trying to get prg or are you just doing it to do it. I always so ohh no, I just want to do it. I think he can see right through me but I still try.

I am having some trouble today. My last post was about being able to feel when you ovulate and my thinking I was feeling has turned into big time pain. I could not sleep at all last night because my stomach hurt so much and I almost did not come to work this am because I am still in so much pain. I thought maybe it could be gas so I took 4 gas x but that did nothing. I called my Dr. and she told me to take a pregnancy test and then call back. I took the test which was a BFN and then called back. I am not waiting for them to call me back because they are scheduling me an ultrasound of my lower abdomen. I am just a bit worried because I have sooo much pain. Ther is for sure something not right down there but I have no idea what. Who the heck knows. I hope my Dr. can tell me something.

cs5000
10-26-2006, 12:36 PM
I'm just reading the posts to see something positive. I am also trying this month again. Have been trying for 3 mths so far. I posted last month about feeling when Im ovulating. It was horrible. I couldn't walk because of the pressure and It felt like my ovaries were about to burst. But, sure enough a few days after it went away. It was definitely me o'ing. Its crazy isnt it?

I hope you feel better. Let us know what the doc says.

I also hate bringing up the fact that its time to BD to DH. I usually just seduce him. And, he has the same reaction (are you doing this cause you want to get pg?). Of course I say no. He says lets just let it happen when its going to happen. I try to explain to him that it does not happen like that unless you get lucky enough for it to happen when your o'ing. Oh well, let's hope this is the month for us all.

Good luck everyone.:)

cs5000 Hope this is your lucky month!

HEW?B Well, I'm kind of wondering if it is ovulation pain that you are having, but it does sound rather extreme to me. I hope everything is okay!

Sammy Sheesh, your doc must think you have nothing better to do than just show up for appointment after appointment, huh? Well, I hope you get this all resolved soon. Still no positive OPK huh?

Lana Thanks very much for telling me about your aunt. I guess we will just have to help my sister be as pro-active in her care as possible. Thank goodness there are four of us! (sisters, I mean) Okay, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that AF stays away!

doco Ahh, so your dh is like mine. Lucky us! Well, I'm not shy about it, I talked to him already today about it. Posting more about that conversation below. I hope you have an easier time with TTC this time around! With a more cooperative DH!

DelSol Thanks. I'm looking into buying a one-way ticket to crazy-town, so I'll keep you posted on any hot deals that I find! ;)

Jenn Welcome!!

ME: CD16 and you all know the story. I said something to DH this afternoon and he said he was thinking about his behavior as well. Basically he has decided that he is under too much pressure as far as 'performing'.:( He said its more him than me. I told him that I'm going to just stop saying anything at all and just mark the dates on the calendar and he can make up his own mind if he wants to do anything about it. I also told him in case he cared that we haven't lost our chance yet as I'm pretty sure I have not ovulated yet. Of course, I probably just made things worse by even saying that to him, so who the heck knows what will happen now. What I do know is that I still feel like beating him with a wet rag right now. I wish to remind him that HE was the one who came to me and told me he was ready to be a dad. And that HE asked ME to have his baby!! So how in the heck am I supposed to handle his "under pressure" problem now? Idiot! Jerk! Asshat! Meanie!!

I'm done now.

FSUSammy

Kym - Yeah I feel like my doc thinks I'm stupid or something. Still no positive opks. I'll take another one around 8is so we'll see what "that" says. Not gonna hold my breath though. LOL I totally feel for you sweetie. I'm in the same position too. DH thinks that every time I try to seduce him its because I have an alterior motive. OF course I have a motive, dummie!!!! LOL Men are so stupid. Hopefully your calendar idea will work. A girl on another board, or maybe it was this one, once posted that she was going to use post-it notes that way her DH knew when she was fertile. That way she didn't have to always tell him.

Me - Still disappointed by my doc appt. But I'm considering looking for an RE. I feel that since I have a history of long cycles maybe I need to have some real tests done to really identify what is wrong with me. More than likely an RE will also monitor me on clomid too to make sure I'm taking the right dosage. I'm going to try to descreetly call up one tomorrow, not sure what kind of wait they have but it can't hurt to inquire and see what if anything my insurance will cover.

cs5000: I hope this is your month.

HEW?B: My O pain was extremely bad the two months ago. It felt like there was a ton of pressure in my abdomen. It lasted for a few a days. Im thinking it was my body adjusting to not being on BC and to O'ing. I hope your doctors can help you figure it out.

Sammy: Im sorry you are frustrated with your doctor. It's the worst when doctors wont listen....it is our body after all. Are you still using the OPK? Is it possible you could have missed the surge? I hope you can get some answers with an RE.

Lanapoo: I have my fingers crossed that AF stays away and its just early to get a BFP.

loving: That's awesome about your test results. Good luck this coming month!

jimmys: Im sorry to hear about the issues with DH. It is a lot of pressure but I hope that your DH gets in the game soon.

Me: Im CD25. Last month I had a 26 day cycle but AF doesnt seem to be coming. I do think that I might be coming down with a cold though. I've been very tired, stuffy and dizzy. I woke up this morning feeling sick to my stomach and my first thought was morning sickness. I really do think its just a cold though. Im going to wait until next Wednesday to test if AF hasnt shown. They have free flu shots at work tomorrow, and I usually dont get one but I read that its good to get one if you are ttc. Anyone know anything about that?

FSUSammy
10-26-2006, 01:52 PM
Krissy - No I don't think I missed the surge since I'm doing opks twice a day. I'm still doing them because a friend of mine told me to keep at it because I won't know if opks work for me or not unless I continue to do them. And I know she's right. Thankfully I'm charting so I know based on my temps and CM that I haven't O'd yet, there is just no way unless I was a freak of nature. LOL I'll be calling up an RE tomorrow hopefully they will see me sometime in the near future. If there is any possibility that you might be PG I would call up your ob/gyn to ask about the flu shot. They recommend against it in your 1st trimester. I decided not to get it myself because DH doesn't believe in it. Plus I've never gotten the flu shot no need to start now.

Jimmys~I am soryr about DH. Don'tyou just love how stupid they can all be. My DH really honsetly believed that you can get pg any time of the month. I was like DUH, NO. So I had to go through and expalin it all to him that there is really like a 12-24 hr. period that you have. He's liek Really...DUH!!! Anyhow, being that he is a firefighter and is going for at least 24-48 hrs, he decided taht he needs to take a month off for it to ever happen with us. Let me say this, I didn't even tell my DH I was usig the opk's. I figure as long as I know when things need to be tkaen care of I will do that....

Just popping in to say that I take the same approach as dancn. I don't tell Dh that I am O'ing. I just initiate things and...well you know. ;) As others have said, my Dh usually figures it out after it happens a couple days in a row, but he doesn't mind. He might tease me a little about using him, but he definitely doesn't refuse.

I just do that because I don't want him to feel like it is expected. If I want to plant the seed, I just make a little comment about what I might want to happen that night when I talk to him earlier in the day. I think that works well too because he is thinking about it and anticipating the fun. :p He would kill me if he knew everything I put out there about all this. Ha!

looty - I think most of our DH's would KILL us if they found out all the stuff we shared on here. LOL

Me - CD 20 today. Last night's opk was negative, of course. What a surprise! Last night was interesting. DH had a function with work last night, it was employee only. He didn't come home until after 11pm. I was already in bed and irritated because I didn't realize I'd be alone ALL night long. Well he was watching tv in the room with the light on and I couldn't go back to sleep plus I noticed some major major o pains on my right side. So bad that I had to get up and get some Aleve. Well as soon as DH turned the light off around 1am I decided that I honestly I think I'm close to Oing and when its comes to choosing between BDing to catch the egg and sleep I'll have to choose BDing. So I made my move and he cooperated! LOL So we BD'd very early this morning. I'll take another opk around 10am again I really am hoping its positive because I also noticed last night that I was starting to feel hotter again. And my CM wasn't as EW-ish as it has been in the past few days. If its not positive I'll have to stop by the dollar store after work and try to pick up some opks from there and I might even hit target to pick up some regular clearblues from there too. I MUST catch this positive. I really don't want to have to have another cycle on clomid if I can absolutely avoid it.

Don't even know were to start!! I feel so behind!!

Jenn (and Bill) Welcome! Your comment about having to have sex to get pg cracked me up!! Sorry to hear about your long cycles. But like other have said I think TCOYF is a great book. Good to read even if you don't plan on charting. I know I stopped charting because it made me crazy!

Chelsea Sound like you are about to O!! I hope you catch the egg!!!

melandtim Happy Belated Birthday!

jimmysgirl424 Sorry to hear about the frustrations with DH. Ya I think maybe not telling him will help!

dancn Ya getting AF totally sucks! That is why I have been away for a few days didn't want to my bad mood to bring everyone down. Yep, next month is going to be our month!!!

Lanapoo Sorry about the BFN!! I hope AF stays away!

loving624 That’s great news about your test results!

Sorry if I missed anyone I feel so lost!!

Telling DH Well I tell DH everything. He knows when are to days we have to BD and when it is time to test. He actually helps me with the BDing. Some nights I'm tired and he talking me into BDing. Even if I just lay there some times. Then I feel guilty for just laying there and say a baby should be conceived from good sex. He makes me feel better by saying that we love each other and that is how a baby should be conceived! As for testing, I think I drive him nuts. He knows too much and then nows I test too early. I think I'm going to pack up all my HPTs and give them to him to hide. That way I wouldn't test early this cycle!

As for me.....I'm feeling better about AF being here. I have my game plan for next cycle and I'm ready to go. I'm going to order move OPKs today and then I'm going to test 3 times a day. I'm going to get the midstream ones that way it is easier to test at work. I don't want to miss my surge like I did last month. I'm cutting back on caffeine (well trying too) and I'm going to try really hard to have good timing this month. Since we conceived DS and the babies we m/c the first time trying I was a little shocked it didn't happen right away again. But this is our 4th cycle trying and I'm bond and determined to make it work.

And that HE asked ME to have his baby!! So how in the heck am I supposed to handle his "under pressure" problem now? Idiot! Jerk! Asshat! Meanie!! "

Hey,

Im sitting here reading all the posts and im laughing my head off at yours. You sound just like what im thinking every month. He told me to get of the bcp so we can start trying and then he says lets just let it happen on its own! Some of them don't get it. MEN!!!

Good luck with everything.

KrissyCat7- Hopefully it is morning sickness and this is your lucky month. As for the flu shot, you should get it. They say pregnant and ttc women should be protected. Ask your doc to be on the safe side.

Tenny, it's true. My "plan" was to go off the pill around Christmas and see what happened the first couple of months. And if we didn't get lucky, we'd try harder timing wise in May, June and July because that was my ideal timing. But honestly, I'm not sure we "finished" DTD at any point until June or so! He was on a bad combination of medicines that he is off now. In fact, the first time we "finished", he yelled "Swim boys!" It was kind of adorable.

Jenn (and Bill) Well it seems you guys are back on track now!! I love your DH's comments ""Swim boys!"

KrissyCat7 About the flu shot I thought you shouldn't get one if you were in the 1st trimester. I think that is what I remember, but I couldn't get one when I was pg with DH because I was in the first trimester around that time. You might want to double check. I hope that is the case and that you are pg!!

loving, glad it came back as level 1 and you are able to ttc

Krissycat, when are you going to test if AF doesn't show? Fingers crossed for you

Lana I really hope this is it for you!! Good luck tomorrow, you HAVE to keep us updated!

Tenny glad you have your gameplan ready for this month, I hope this is it for you. I know what you mean about thinking it will happen just as easy as with your first, ds#1 for me was an oops, ds#2 got pg on my first cycle off of bcp, I really thought it would be just as easy, not here I am, about to start month 7 of ttc(yet still only on cycle 3:rolleyes: )

So, we have what, two testers left for October? We really need Krissycat and Lana to get a BFP because this month has been really slow. Any other testers out there???

Nothing new with me, temp yesterday was down so I didn't O when I was having EWCM and high cervix, forgot to temp today but I don't think I O'd yesterday so its ok, no BDing lately, let me join the women with dumb DHs. I try and start stuff almost nightly and if you look at my chart we've BDed 4 time, thats it, just four, I tried starting stuff the other night right after putting the kids to bed and DH said he wanted to wait til later in case one of them woke up and he didn't want to go to bed yet(he's unaware you can get up after DTD I guess) then last night I wait til later when we go to bed to try and start something and he says its to late I should have tried earlier:mad: WFT?? I've tried wearing nighties and a ton of stuff, so I finally got made at him last night and let him know I was pissed, like I try and start stuff each time, he never tries to start stuff, ever, and I'm sick of feeling rejected when he turns me down, so I'm not going to try anymore, I'm not getting pg anyways so oh well! (sorry had to vent to someone:o )

Hey everyone! I'm finally back, and I had a nice post, but our computer went and decided to lock up. Welcome Heather!

Me~ CD23. Not sure when I O'd since I was sort of getting mixed signals last week. And everything at the house was mad crazy so we didn't get to DTD Thursday. I got EWCM earlier in the week, and then I think I got some Friday, but we were running around so much and everything is a blurr from the past week that I can't be sure. No real FPS, in fact, nothing as of yet. I have 1 more week to go, and amazingly this has been the fastest 2ww ever (knock on wood because I haven't gotten through the last week yet!) Since the last cycle was 28 days, and the 2 before that were 32 days, I'm goign to try and hold out till CD30-32 if AF hasn't showed up.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

me ~ CD38. I think my body is getting ready to O, I noticed my CM is changing so I told DH we should start the BDing tomorrow. I'm watching my CM today but I don't think it's there yet. DH was like, I thought your cycle is messed up, I said it is but I think my body is gearing up to O again. So hopefully I will O this time. It's funny because had I gotten AF when I was suppose to, this upcoming week would have been my fertile week so here we are the same upcoming week and hopefully it turns out to be my fertile week. So if this works, I'll be testing around our 2nd anniversary, that would be a great anniversary present.

Lana, I don't know all that much about charting, I'm still fairly new, but its possible that you O'd on CD 18 instead, although with 15 16 and 17 missing I could be wrong. But then again your CM wouldn't match up. I've gotten positive OPKs and still not O'd before so its possible your body was getting ready to O and then didn't. Your cover line last month was just about 97.5 and from what I've read it usually stays about the same, your first few temps after when you think you O'd were still about as low as before O. Like I said, I don't know all that much so I could be very wrong, either way, I hope you get a BFP soon!

Lanapoo

allisonCrossing my crossables!!!!

Chelsea524I totally understand. My DH gets like this sometimes. Or, it's kinda opposite. I'll want to do it earlier, and he says he's not ready, and then, he wants to do it at midnight when I'm dragged my butt to bed and I can barely keep my eyes open. By then I'm not really in the mood, and of course he has to have his forplay to make it fair, right!?!?!? Men just don't understand sometimes. But he'll come around. Maybe try planning a couple day getaway, or have a friend watch the kids for a couple hours and get some take out and light some candles. have a romantic evening in. And you can inconspicuoulsy (sp?) plan it around your fertile time!!!

pride&prejudiceGood to have you back girl. I'm in the same boat on Oing, not sure when it happened or if it even did. Although, at this point I'm just running on an empty tank because AF STILL isn't here. I hope she doesn't come for you though and you get a BFP!!!

delsol~ That would be a wonderful anniversary gift! I'm almost tempted to hold off with getting a BFP till January, as that would be DH's birthday, and what a cool gift!

Me~ CD24 here. DH and I BD Friday and Saturday, so if there is any chance that I O'd late, maybe that would cover my bases. :p I think that if I don't get a BFP on this one, then I'm resorting to charting. I'll have to go get a thermometer, since I can't seem to find the one that I had before we moved. It's probably buried at the bottom of one of the bathroom boxes, so maybe I'll get to it before the end of the week. Hopefully that will help with all the pains/etc. and put them in perspective.

I feel like I don't know any of you well enough (yet) to comment on much! But congratulations to Bibay on your BFP. And Charliez, I think I can relate to what you're going through!

ME: OK girls, now I really wish I had been charting so I could figure out what is going on with my bod. Today is CD 50 and I'm starting to wonder about that BFN I got last week. Still no signs of AF. Friday night, I had pretty bad cramps so I thought it was coming. And I've had that feeling like it's going to start any minute. But it still hasn't. And the last two days, I've been feeling pretty crappy. Off somehow. Nauseous. So I'm trying to figure out what to do.

My DH thinks I should call my gyno and tell them what's going on to see if I should come in or not. They told me that when I thought I was PG, to come in two months after my last period started. Well, that's in 10 days?

My other options are to take another HPT and see if it's different. Or to go to my PCP and get tested there.

I guess I'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow. But I'd love some opinions. On the one hand, i'm trying not to get excited. And on the other, I'm wondering if I really could be.....

Jen(and Bill)~ I haven't had experience iwth that. But I presonally would take another HPT this week. And depending on the result and if the cramping is still there, I'd at least call and see what the office said. It can't hurt to call them, and when in doubt, that's what you should do. HTH!

melandtim~ I so know how you feel! There were months like that when I was waiting for DH to be off his meds for 3 months and it killed me! :o

Me~ CD25. So if this is the same as last months, then 3 days away from AF. *Knock on wood* I haven't felt any of the normal symptoms for AF being this close. I'm really begining to wonder. I don't have any syptoms of any kind! What the heck! :o Today at least I'm resting. We went to chop wood and cut down some trees at my parents yesterday and I pulled a muscle in my back. It makes me mad since I have been exercising my ab and back muscles, and haven't pulled any muscles since starting that 3 years ago. Its killing me becuase I have so much energy to do stuff, and I have to relax! Oh, and has anyone heard of charlie horses coming when you are pg? I could have sworn last night I had a slight twinge of one starting until I moved around a bit. This no symptom things is freaking me out.:p

FSUSammy
10-30-2006, 04:47 AM
Jenn (and Bill) - I'd take another HPT if I were you. Your PCP is just going to do a urine test if you go there. No need to pay even more for the same results that you'd have at home.

Mel - Yay for Oing, sorry you couldn't take advantage of it though. When is your surgery?

Me - CD 22 or 23. Can't remember. My temp went up a bit today. I don't feel like I O'd yesterday though, I feel like its still on its way. I'm soooo disappointed that Clomid did nothing for me. My O pains were pretty much non-existant all weekend which was good. I was a bit distracted this weekend because my mom had to go to the emergency room on Saturday. She had a tummy tuck and lipo done almost 2 weeks ago and was doing fine. Well she started having some sharp pains on her upper back whenever she breathed in. Turns out that the CT scan showed several blood clots in her lungs and she had to be admitted immediately. She's on blood thinners right now and probably will be for the next 6 months. The doctors think that her birth control pills are to blame so she can no longer take those. If my mom would have waited any longer to go to the hospital she wouldn't be here right now so thankfully she went.

cross posted w/ Charting:
Me ~ CD40 - BDing fest has begun, now I am just praying I do O and we get a BFP for our anniversary. I'm feeling very positive about this so I hope this works. Yesterday DH wanted to know when we had to DTD, I told him Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and possibly Saturday. Heidi - sorry about AF. Are your cycles normally that long? I only ask because I heard that the CBEFM doesn't work on cycles over 42 days long. That's why I haven't bought one for myself yet.

My cycle lengths are all over the place (unfortunately for me!) For the last 8 cycles, I have been using FF to track temps and cycle lengths. I've seen cycles last from 19 days to 49 days, with most of them being under 42 days. I am hoping that the CBEFM will work, despite my irregular longer cycles. :(

I will most likely have to use 20 testing sticks if it requests additional data, which stinks, because they are so expensive...bah!

I defintely will keep you posted. I hope you don't mind, but I checked out your charting data in the link you posted in your sig. It looks like not all your cycles are over 42 days, so that may be hopeful. I will let you know if I think this FM works for women like us with those sporadic "long" lengths.

Also, I wanted to let you know, I purchased my CBEFM on Ebay (brand new current model, in sealed packaging,) for $99 and $3 shipping. I think they usually cost $150-$190. The lower cost defintely reduced the risk of trying it.

FSU, sorry about your mom. Glad she got to the hospital!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with weird cycles. The strange part is that mine weren't strange until last month.

So if I had an annov cycle, it's possible I didn't O, didn't ever get AF but that my cycle essentially started over and I could be O'ing now? I haven't been BD because I assumed I was waiting for AF. Why is this all so confusing.

I have a call in to my doctor to see what she thinks. She's a pretty new doctor for me because my old one left the practice so she doesn't know me very well.

I am sure glad I found you guys in time to get some opinions. I'd be going crazy on my own. Well, OK, I am anyway. BTW, I tried to buy TCOYF this weekend and B&N was sold out so I'm going to order it. (though I'm secretly hoping I'll get a BFP before I start reading it). Argh!

Jenn (and Bill) - If you had an annovulatory cycle you didn't O. That's what annovulatory means, no ovulation. You won't know ifs annovulatory until AF shows up. It's possible to have a very late ovulation though. My last cycle was 74 days long and I had finally O'd on CD 62 (I think). I thought I had O'd earlier but I didn't.

Don't cry. :) I felt rotten becuase this guy that I have gotten to be friends with is making a delivery today and I didn't get to see him. :( Then he called me a wimp for throwing out my back. :( At least you get to watch TV, I am trying to make lunch and getting all these phone calls from work trying to get stuff done! I'm home sick! [/rant]

Ugh, I just need to hold out till Friday to test. Today would be 4 days before AF, if I can just hold out.......

Hello All - AF arrived this morning, not late at all since Chelsea was probably right about me Oing on CD18. Obviously my cycles are still not set in stone if I can O on CD12 one month and then CD18 the next month. Guess I'll have to interpret those temps better than I did this last cycle. I was a little sad though since I was really holding on to the dream of a July 4th due date. Oh well, August is a good month too ;)

Charliez - Good for you on the no smoking front. You are doing great!

Pride - Good job on covering your bases in case of late O, I should have been doing the same!

Jenn - I think it may be an annovulary cycle too. That totally sucks!

Mel - Thanks. Will you be able to try next month or does it have to be the month after because of the surgery?

Sam - I'm so sorry to hear about your mom :( . How scary that must have been. Thank goodness she got to the hospital in time.

Delsol - Yay for BD Fest!

Heidi - Sorry about AF.

Thanks Sunshine, hope you feel better.

Welcome KWM!!! No experience with ICSI here, I'm still going on the assumption that everything is fine with DH until it's been a year of TTC.

Welcome Kristin!

Lana - Sorry about AF showing up. I agree that Chelsea was probably right on your O date. I was going to respond about it over the weekend but got all caught up with the thing with my mom.

Me - Well not really an update on me but more of one on my mom. She was hoping to have left the hospital today but that's not going to happen. Last week she found a small bump under her breast, looks like a cyst almost. Well she showed it to her doc this morning when they came around for rounds and they were worried and wanted to do a mammogram to see what it is. So they are now saying that she might be in the hospital for the rest of the week. No news on me. Decided to not take opks twice a day anymore. That's just nerve-wracking to see a negative twice a day. So I'll be taking my opks after I get home from work from now on.

Thanks ladies. I knew that an annov cycle was possible. But I thought you still got AF, even if you didn't O. So maybe it was just really late and if so, I missed it anyway. It's hard to tell since I've had three sessions of cramps that I assumed were PMS but then I started to wonder if one was O pain and one was implantation pain. The thing I'm trying to remember is that you just can't tell.

I finally spoke to the nurse and my doctor's going to call me when she's in the office next. But the nurse thinks I just missed a period and they don't worry about that until you've missed two. She didn't think the whole "maybe I'm just one of those people that don't get BFPs from HPT" was a good idea.

The moral of this story is that it's not hard to get upset/frustrated/anxious etc when you have no idea what is going on!

FSU, I'm sorry your mom has to stay in the hospital but I'm glad they're going to make sure she's OK before they let her go.

Welcome Kristin. How did you determine male infertility since you haven't been trying a full year yet?

Sammy Sorry to hear about your mom. Gosh, I'm so glad she went to the hospital when she did. Keep us updated on her, please. Hope you get +OPK soon!

Lana Sorry about AF :( I guess its on to next month for you!

Charliez Okay, I need to know how you did it! I exercise, try to eat right, drink lots of water, limit my alcohol intake and yet I can't give up cigarettes. Good for you for being able to quit!

Sunshine Sorry you are sick. Take care of yourself and baby!

kwm Welcome! :)

pride I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. LOL at trying to hold till Friday to test. Its tough, isn't it?

Heidi Sorry about AF :(

ceaserbride Okay, now you both have me wanting to go buy the book too!

Jenn Did you mention already whether you just recently stopped BC? Because when I stopped mine, my body basically skipped an entire AF and I have since gone on to have two very normal cycles in a row. (one 28 days and the other 29 days) I hope thats the case with you. If not, do call your MD so you can get the ball rolling.

ME CD 20. I am happy to say that DH and I did get some quality BD'ing in on Saturday and Sunday morning. :D I am really, really hoping that we weren't too late. I want to try and seduce him tonight too, just in case! ;) I so want us to be successful this month. Oh, and Friday night we met friends for happy hour. I had three margaritas and let me just say that I poured my heart out to DH once that alcohol hit me. I don't drink alot anyway but tend to get emotional when I do. I told him how much I loved him and how badly I wanted to have his baby. He must have been on the same wavelength, because he kept apologizing for crapping out on me earlier in the week. And then came through with an admirable performance for the next two days. :D

My sister was discharged from the hospital on Friday, but is back in the ER today due to a horrible headache that hasn't let up one time since her lumbar puncture on Thursday.

jimmysgirl~ It is sooooo tough. To think that POAS could be addicting! I did one Saturday when I got back, in the hopes that I had O'd early. Plus DH had a nice dinner planned for me, and I wanted a few drinks. :p That's so funny how you are with the alcohol, I'm the same way some times! DH laughs when I start just pouring everything out and getting emotional becuase he "won't let me express myself". hehe See what a toll TTC takes on us?

Jen(andBill)~ Glad you got to talk to your nurse. Yeah, unfortunately that and the "we don't discuss infertility until a year of trying" were both discussions that came up at my pre-TTC meeting with my doc. I think we can all comiserate at how stressful this can be!

FSUSammy~ Sorry your mom had to stay in the hospital, but thinking the best! I've gone through BC twice with family members, most recently my grandmother, so if you ever need to talk, just PM me. You and her are in my prayers.

lana~ Sorry to hear AF arrived. I need to crack down on temps right along with you. :) I definitely hope I covered all bases especially since we didn't get to DTD the night before I left.

DelSol~ Thanks. :)

kwm~ Welcome, hope your stay is short and sweet!

Me~ I swear TTC is frying my brain. Ok, so I've been ranting about work making me work even though I was home with a sore back. Well, I realized that tomorrow is 3 days before AF should be here, so since I haven't had any FPS and this back, I wanted to go get a HPT. Well, the drug store in my town doesn't carry them. Them I went to the market. They have them, but they are locked up behind the pharmacy! Needless to say I'm thinking what pharmacy doesn't carry them, and was way too embarassed to wait in line for a HPT (its a small town and I saw someone from work waiting in that line!). So at least that was a driving force to get me through one more day of not testing. hehehe IF this keeps happening I might not test till after Friday!

Wow I have missed a lot! It has been crazy here due to the end of the quarter at school and buys weekends too. I should be better starting the next few days.

Congrats to Bibay! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months. :D

Welcome to kwm! I hope you don't have to stick around too long. I don't think that many of the women here have done any infertility treatments. There are a couple of us that are on Clomid but that's it. Another place that might be good to ask about that procedure is the SAI thread. Good luck!

As for me...I am still waiting to O. I have taken my full course of Clomid and thankfully I didn't have very many or very severe side effects. I was a little emotional a day or two but nothing over the top.

Here's hoping that all our DH's get their acts together and we can get more BFPs next month!

Welcome kwm, I hope your stay is short, I agree with Looty, you might want to also check out the SAI thread

Sorry to anyone AF found, good luck to all the testers

I'll be back tomorrow, I'm still at work right now and shouldn't be on here(shhh) Just hoping to see another high temp tomorrow so I can call O.

Kym, just FYI, I've been off BCP since Christmas and all my cycles were normal until the last one and this one. Thanks for asking. I wish that was the reason!

Welcome KWM!!!

Looty - that's great you didn't have any side effects of the Clomid!

Pride - keeping my fingers crossed for you!

jimmysgirl - Yay for some quality BD time!! Hope your sister is doing better.

Sam - sorry your Mom is still in the hospital but at least they are being thorough and not releasing her prematurely.

Lana - sorry AF showed :( My O dates change all the time (well on the months I actually O) and its really frustrating to try to predict it.
I don't see any reason why we can't try next month. I am certainly not planning on waiting :p

CD25 for me. Since it looks like I O'd on CD18 AF should be here between Friday and Sunday and then we can start all over again. I am cramping already so I expect it any day now.

Kym - Glad you got some qualtiy BDing in!! Hope your sister is feeling better.

pride&prejudice - I guess its a good thing that its soooo hard for you to get HPTs. I wish it was that hard for me!

looty - Glad clomid wasn't awful for you!

RP from Charting:

Me - CD 24 I believe. Last night's opk was once again negative. I had a lot of creamy CM though so maybe my body is gearing up to O and everything that I saw/felt last week was nothing? Who knows! I had a dream last night that I finally saw a positive opk, how sad is that. Instead of dreaming about a BFP I'm dreaming to just get a positive opk. LOL Well I went to visit my mom in the hospital last night. I found out something that really irritated me. The doc that saw her in the morning (the one she showed the bump to) immediately said it was breast cancer. Uhhhh you can't call it breast cancer without doing the normal tests first, dumb a$$!!! My mom was apparently bawling and my aunt who was there with her went to the nurses station and told the doctor off in front of everyone. He apologized and went back to my mom's room and apologized to her. That makes me so angry that a doctor would say such a thing without having proof you know??? Well she had a mammogram and sonogram done yesterday and hopefully the results will be back today. I met with another doctor last night and he's going to do a full body scan to make sure there aren't any other blood clots to worry about either. Might as well get a full check up while she's still at the hospital. I'll be spending Halloween night at the hospital so that my aunt can take my cousin and my little brother trick-or-treating.

Quick question ladies. Lately I've been EXHAUSTED. Partly because of the time change and maybe mostly because of dealing with my mom in the hospital every day. I want to be there don't get me wrong but its draining me out! Well by the time I hop into bed I fall immediately to sleep. There is absolutely no chance for me to BD. Does anyone have any tips to help me stay energized enough to be able to seduce DH????

Thanks!
