Here in Europe it is used against diarrhea.

Here in Italy is used if you feel bloated. They do not do much to stop diarrhea here. If it caused by bacterial food posoining, you have to get the bacteria out of you. If you are just having muscle spasm, you can take reglan or motillium, which both regulate the contractions of the digestive apparatus.

I have taken it often (like if I eat gassy foods). It works.

It does not stop diarrhea. It's supposed to bind the toxins that are causing it.
