I'm having a Halloween identity crisis! I got this great dress for dirt cheap at Goodwill but now that I have it home I realize that I don't know what I'd be in it! Ignore the wig -- it's going back because it's SO uncomfortable. Any ideas (besides adding a tiara and being some kind of princess)?

Oh, and I'll be wearing the costume at Disney World for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, so I can't have any props or accessories that would be too cumbersome to walk the park and go on rides. :o TIA!

How about some sort of head-wreath and a wand and you can be a fairy? Otherwise...a Lord of the Rings type princess came to mind...

I'm thinking something Renaissance-y. Like with these types of accessories.

One year my sorority sisters all went as greek godesses. I was the greek godess of the sea. I had a dress very similar to that and same colour, so that is what first comes to mind.
I bought some of those puka shell necklaces and tied them together to make a belt, slung low on my hip. I attached seashells and coral and seaweed (all bought at the craft store) to the bottom of my dress. I wore very heavy gold gliterry eye makeup that stretched between my eyes and on my temples. I made hair clips with seashells glued to them and wore my hair very "greek godessy" and curled.

The dress reminds me of Leia from Star Wars.

I think Greek Godess or Cleopatra when I see that dress. I think fairy would also work.

Since you mentioned Disney the dress reminds me of the Fairy from Pinocchio.

I was totally thinking the same thing. Just saw the movie the other day and I thought her dress was that color.
