Car games?

Hey! DH and I are taking a road trip this weekend and I was wondering if you guys knew any car games? Thanks~!

If you're going on busy enough roads, you can play a billboard game. It works like this:

Each of you starts on the letter A. We you see a word with the letter A, then you call out that word and that sign can longer be used for another letter. Who ever gets the sign first wins tha sign, and is able to move on to the letter B, C, D, etc. Each of you can't move on to the next letter until you get the preceding letter.

I had some really cool car games when I was little (late 70s/early 80s), though they probably wouldn't be viewed as cool now. If it doesn't have batteries and flash and/or beep then it's not cool. :rolleyes:

I don't know if they sell them now, but they were cardboard squares with "slider" windows so you could cover the item spotted. I remember one was like BINGO, but with road signs. When you spotted a sign on your board, you closed the window. The first to have a row of windows closed won. Ah, memories. I wonder if my mom still has them. I think they'd still be fun. :D

DH and I do the Alphabet/Famous Person game. Yeah, I just made up that name..

The first person starts off with a famous person, dead or alive and then the next person has to say another famous person using the first letter of the last name that the previous person said. Here goes:

If it's two ppl:

A: Diana Ross
B: Reese Witherspoon
A: William Jefferson
B: Jimmy Walker

and so on.

If there are 3 or more people playing and a person says a name with a double letter then the order reverses.

A: Martin Luther King
B: Kellie Williams
C: William Jefferson
A: Janet Jackson (reverses back to person C)
C: John Ritter
B: Rodney Dangerfield

and so on.....

It's so fun, even with 2 people b/c you start to run out of names with certain letters. Seems easy at first, but you quickly run out of W's, S's and D's. :D
