How dark does the 2nd line have to be?

So, I was due for my period on Tuesday (today is Thursday). I tested once five days before my period was due, and it was negative. I tested on Monday, again, negative. I tested today, and the second line on the EPT test was very very very faint. I don't know if it counts? You can see it, but you have to look close. What do you think?

Also, I had realy bad cramping last night....chalked it up to my endometriosis and went to be early....today, its almost all better.

if it came up within the time frame it should count, even if it is really light, I bet if you wait another couple days it will be pretty dark, or at least darker. Goodluck and Congrats!!

That 2nd line doesn't matter how dark it is. If it's there (at all) you can assume you're pg! Maybe you O-ed later than you thought which is why you got the previous negs. Maybe last night was implantation which it would then show up super faint. Or, it could be an evap line. If it's a blue dye test I would find a pink dye one. Either way I'd be re-testing!

Speaking from my experience.. a line is a line.. I would suggest getting a different test, We had 3 of the First Response one's and kept gettign a really light line, so I got a target brand one, 1/2 the cost but it showed a + or a -, There was a definate + sign... That's how we knew.

eak! wow, I'm afraid to hope it really could be a positive, Im shaking!!

Like everybody said, a line is a line!! From my personal experience, my second line was VERY faint. Try again tomorrow. Good luck!!

My lines never get really dark - of course, I typically quite POAS after 14 or 15 dpo and start doing beta draws instead.

A line is a line. My line with DS1 was on the Answer brand it was very faint. DS2 was the Target brand with the two lines and it was super dark. I also used FMu with DS2 and afternoon urine with DS1 which might have affected it.

Let us know how the other tests turn out.

update -- i tested with FMU this morning, and the line is still light, but getting darker! I must have just not ovulated when I thought I did, which explains a lot (we aren't charting this time). The second line is still light, but it's there! I'm going to test again Monday and then call the dr. i'm so nervous and scared, but of course very happy ---- we thought we weren't going to be able to conveive!
