OK, I'm on CD41 and O'd on CD23. My temps have been above the cover line since I O'd but AF has still not arrived. I've taken 5 HPTs and they're all negative. By now in my cycle, I should be done with AF and moving on to the next O.

Has something like this ever happened to you? If so, did AF ever come? What did you do about charting? I guess I'm going to continue to temp as usual but this cycle is getting a bit ridiculous.

I have a dr. appointment on Monday to see what's going on. Hopefully the PA I'm seeing will be familiar enough to look at my charts with me!

Alright, I don't know if thos feedback is what you're looking for, but I'm going to put it out there anyway.

Your coverline is a lot lower than it has been in past cycles. It should stay a lot more constant over time, so to me that is suspect. Either your hormones are changing quite a bit from cycle to cycle or your temps are falling below coverline often. And it could be that this time you're having an anovulatory cycle.

Also, your O date has been anywhere from cd17-cd24, which means it's considered a late O. From that and the fact that you consistently have LP temps that are low (just above the coverline), you seem to have some of the classic symptoms of what they call a "weak O"--meaning in part that you ovulate but the hormones aren't at the level they need to be. I mention all this so you can discuss it at your appt on Monday. These things may not even affect your chances with TTC very much, but then again, they might. HTH in some way!

Scooter, thank you so much for your reply and it did help a lot!!

I've never heard of a weak O. Is this something that I would need to take hormones for? I'll definitely bring it up on Monday.

You're welcome! A weak O or hormone imblance doesn't necessarily mean you'd have to take hormones, but there is that chance.

(edited because I didn't read your chart note right!)
I just noticed that a couple charts ago you wrote that you went off BCP recently. That would probably explain what's going on. It can take many cycles after BCP for your hormone sto regulate again. So I wouldn't be too worried yet, although it's worht mentioning at your appt.

Oh yeah, and the "Weak O"/"strong O" terminology--basically it's something many REs use to describe a situation where your hormones aren't triggering your ovaries to put out a very good egg. The egg isn't great, so that doesn't trigger enough progesterone in the LP, so you end up having low temps or a short LP, for example. It's a general term to describe the probable situation, not a specific diagnosis. Going on fertility medications addresses that issue & produces a stronger O.

I'm no charting expert, but I question the O this cycle...I don't see a clear low to high temp pattern, so I'm wondering if this is an annovulatory cycle.

I hope you get some good help Monday!

Thanks again for the responses, Scooter and J*east. I was on Seasonalle for 2 years and didn't get a period for most of that time (my ob/gyn said that is normal for Seasonalle.) This is only my 2nd full cycle after stopping BCP. It makes me feel better that maybe it is just my hormones regulating themselves. :o

In the case of an annovulatory cycle and charting, will the fact that this cycle is (presumably) double in length than the last one mess up my averages? I guess I'll deal with that question when AF does indeed appear.

Thanks again for responding!!
