It's almost that time and since Barley was only a few weeks old last Halloween we couldn't dress him up....this year we can!!

Anyone already bought their pet's costume? Do you have a pic to share? Anywhere other than petsmart to find one?

I'm think of making one and making him Barley Brown (instead of Charlie Brown) but I wanted to take a look at store bought ones first :p

you can kind of see my boxer emma in her costume she wore 3 years ago in my avatar. she's a devil. :D she had horns, a cape and things that went around her legs (those lasted about 2 sec)

you can check target, they always have a good selection. also joannes or michaels (the craft stores) they usually have some cute premade ones, as well as patterns to make your own.

Oh how I wish I could dress up our puppy Max (who will be a year old the day after Halloween)... but he barely tolerates wearing a collar so I know a Halloween costume would never last on him...

There's so many places to buy costumes for dogs like Old Navy, Target and especially ebay.

I bought a devil costume on sale for $2.00 at Old Navy after Halloween last year so that's what we'll use.

We got leo a 'prisoner' costume at Target for $8. It's funny! I haven't gotten a picture yet, but I will after he gets groomed. Target had a great selection, I thought.

Does anyone know of a website that has suggestions for homemade dog costumes? I want to enter my pups in a costume contest at the beach but they won't win in plain ol' store bought costumes! I need ideas for something unique and creative!

Moxie & Baloo were part of Team Oz this weekend. Our local SPCA had a pledge walk and costume contest. Moxie was Dorothy and Baloo was the Tin Man. I'll have to come back and post pictures of the Flying Monkey, Scare Crow and the Lion.

OMG, Belm, those costumes are too cute! LOL!! That last pic of your 2 dogs together is just killing me - Baloo looks a little less than pleased being the Tin Man while Moxie looks like a proud Dorothy! :D

Funny, I just posted pictures in my journal. My dog Ivan is wearing a costume from Old Navy, and apparently DS is dressing up as Ivan. :)

If you want a pet costume but want to save money--I've heard that you can go to your local thrift store, find clothes/costumes for babies or children (depending on the size of your dog, of course), and cut them to fit your pets.

That being said, I couldn't get Brandy to even keep a Santa hat on her head last Christmas. Just long enough to snap a picture, and even that took like 5 tries. She hates having anything on her besides her collar, so no Halloween costume for her.

hahaha - I'm loving the costumes! I wish we could dress up our cat but I think DH would lose a hand in the process. She's a black cat though, so she really doesn't need a costume for Halloween!
