My DD is going to a birthday party this afternoon, and I have a stupid question.
The party is at Chuck E Cheese and lasts for an hour and a half. The birthday boy is in the 3rd grade.
Are we expected to attend and stay with DD at Chuck E Cheese? Forgive me for not knowing, but DD is our foster daughter, so we haven't quite figured out all the details that go along with raising an 8 year old.
Thanks!

No kids here, but I did work at a Chuck E. Cheese type place for awhile in h.s. and most guests' parents didn't stay. Although if you wanted to hang around, I'm sure the birthday boy's mom wouldn't mind an extra hand or two. They usually rush you pretty quickly at those places since the tables are reserved for 1 1/2 hour blocks, so mom might need some help making sure all the kids get fed, get their game tokens, are around to open presents, etc.

I know this is old but I wanted to comment.
I've only left my SS once at a birthday party and it was at a house. I felt pretty nervous about that, let alone out someplace. That was 2 years ago. I probably wouldn't leave him at a party even now unless I knew the birthday kid's family well.
As for fostering, do you have specific rules to follow about where and when she can be left?
My parents are therapeutic foster care, which I'm sure differs, but I know they had to get special permissions to leave their 15 and 16 year olds they had, for anything besides school.
