I was watching the movie the Freshman last night with Marlon Brando and Matthew Broderick and one of Matthew Broderick's lines was:
There's a kind of freedom in being completely screwed, because you know things can't possibly get any worse.
Which I thought was kind of neat, witty yet profound! So it got me thinking, what are some of your favorite movie or tv quotes?
PS. For some strange reason, I've always liked Harrison Ford's quote in Raiders of the Lost Ark when he says: Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?

"My client's a moron. That's not against the law."
Actually that movie is quotable out the wazoo.

tgray99 - SM is my favorite movie all the time too. In fact I just posted the other day about it in the Favorite Movies You Can Watch Over and Over thread. I think I can quote pretty much the whole movie by heart! :o
As for my favorite quote though, it would have to be from When Harry Met Sally. I say this one to my DH all the time. It's from one of the cute old couples sitting on the couch:
"Woman: Well, he was the head counsellor and the boys' camp and I was the head counsellor at the girls' camp, and they had a social one night, and he walked across the room. I thought he was coming to talk to my friend Maxine, 'cos people were always crossing rooms to talk to Maxine. But he was coming to talk to me, and he said...
Man: I'm Ben Small of the Coney Island Smalls.
Woman: At that moment I knew. I knew the way you know about a good melon."

"Oh, ya know him?"
Charlie Sheen to Jennifer Grey in Ferris Buehllers day off.
" Cameron is wound so tight, that if you stick a lump of coal up his a**, in two weeks you'll have a diamond."

"I'm your huckleberry" Tombstone (Val Kilmer)
:D :D
Did you mean, "I'm here, Huckleberry." That is definitely my DH's favorite quote. He still says it all the time, even though we haven't watched that movie in quite a long time.
Mine: "I've got the fever, and the cure is.....more cowbell." Christopher Walken on SNL

I think the quote is "I'm your huckleberry." Val Kilmer was telling Michael Bein that he was there to fight him instead of Kurt Russell.
I also like "You're a daisy if ya do." Also from Tombstone, an immensely quotable movie!

LOL
Friends is immensely quotable.
Chandler: "Gum would be perfection."
Monica: "2, 4, 6, TWO, four SIX..seven, SEVEN, SEVEN!!!"
Joey: What the hell does a paleontologist need a beeper for?
Monica: Is it, like, for dinosaur emergencies? "Help! Come quick, they're still extinct!"
Joey (watching old videos of Monica): Some girl ate Monica!!! "
Monica: Shut up, the camera adds 10 pounds. "
Chandler: so how many cameras are actually on you?
Family Guy:

I'm a sucker for The Princess Bride quotes. :o
"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The first is never get involved in a land war in Asia. The second, only slightly less well known, is this: never go up against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha --
Thank you so much for bringing up such a painful subject. While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice papercut and pour lemon juice on it?
Fezzini: Inconceivable!
Inigo: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
You mean, you put down your rock and I put down my sword and we try to kill each other like civilized people?

"Get off my bench!"
"Shelby don't be stupid."
"Time marches on and eventually you realize it's marching across your face."
"I'm not crazy; I've just been in a very bad mood for 40 years!"
All from Steel Magnolias. My mom and I used to quote lines from SM to each other all the time when I was in my late teens/early twenties.

I like the Friends episode where Phoebe and Monica (or is it Rachel?) are talking about their favorite love songs, and Phoebe says her favorite is the one Elton John wrote for Tony Danza, and then sings "Hold me close now, Tony Daaaaaanzaaa!"
It's even funnier when I hear the real song on the radio at work!
I know there's more, I'll have to think about this one...

Remember those four amazing hours we spent in the pool after senior formal?... This is so much better than that! Elle Woods, Legally Blonde
Your heart understood mine. Professor Bhaer, Little Women
...and the telling of our most appalling secrets! Laurie, Little Women
Professor Bhaer: Do you take wine, Jo?
Jo: No, only medicinally.
[he fills her glass]
Professor Bhaer: Then pretend that you have a cold. Little Women
Guy: Miss March, you should have been a lawyer.
Jo: I should have been a great many things. Little Women
Professor Bhaer: The schools in the west are new. They don't care so much about the accent.
Jo: I don't mind it either. My aunt gave me Plumfield. It's not a field, it's a house, a big house. It would make a great school. Is there nothing I can say to make you stay?
Professor Bhaer: I had hoped that I would have a reason to stay... congratulations on the celebration of your marriage.
Jo: Marriage? Oh, no! That's Amy, and Laurie actually. I'm not married.
Professor Bhaer: But I have nothing to offer you. My hands are empty.
[Jo takes his hand]
Jo: They're not empty now.
Steve: Do you ever think about that night in the park? Because that's the best time I ever had. I don't know you, but I know every fleck of gold in your eyes, every curve of your face.
Mary: I'm a magnet for unavailable men... and I'm tired of it. It's simple: I know Fran. I respect her. So, other than your tux measurements, that's all I need to know. Now please leave. The Wedding Planner
Oh, I have so many! :)
