My Petey sits like that when he's looking out the window. We have a little place for him to lay, but sometimes he puts his butt on the TV stand and his front paws on the window sill, just like Griffin there.

I'm glad he's not the only freak who does it! I've never had a cat sit like that and it seems so uncomfortable. Silly kitties.

ETA: We need a cat moms volume 3 thread!

I should have come in here when it happened...sorry I've been MIA but our little (or big!) Kramer...

passed away on November 26th. He had a heart condition and his heart stopped while we were both at work. We figure he didn't suffer since he was lying on the living room floor like he was sleeping. He is so very missed and it really hit us hard.

We decided though to rescue a cat from a shelter. On New Year's Eve day we adopted Monroe...

He is one big cat since he weighs in at about 15 pounds. He is such a sweatheart and he melts our hearts everyday. We are so lucky to have him.

Mrs.B716 ~ if you right click those and look at the properties both of them say http://http://. When you repost them they should only have one set of http://. When you click the link icon it already has http:// in it. Hope that helps! :)

We're over 1000 posts. We need a new thread...

Does anyone have the link for the cat t-shirt with skid marks? I didn't bookmark it and DH wants me to order it. I can't find it anywhere.

Does anyone use flushable litter?

I just wanted to bump this question up again to answer it and give a recomendation.

We gave the corn litter a go and WE FREAKING LOVE IT. The urine clumps REALLY well and it makes cleaning the litter box 10x faster and more pleasant. Clay litter (which we were using, our cats don't like the crystal litter) would clump, but then break off into finer pieces that the scooper would sift out. The corn litter does not do this. Someone mentioned that the corn doesn't deal with the smell well, but we have found that the corn deals with the smell VERY well. It doesn't smell like urine, or that funky smell urine and clay have, it smells...more...I don't know. Natural? It isn't nearly as unpleasant as the clay litter we were using.

Hooray for corn litter!

We do not flush the litter though.

A plumber once told me not to flush anything but toilet paper. He said everything that's "flushable" really isn't. So I don't.

(There's a new cat moms thread.)

So bad news for my kitty...Rubyn has been diagnosed with diabetes... :( But the good news is that he is already responding to the insulin shots (and it has been less then a week).
Any other cat moms out there who have to give their little ones insulin shots? It has gotten easier for me, but I am (selfishly) concerned about how this will affect my life and schedule...sigh...

Awww, I'm so sorry about Rubyn! :( I hope the insulin shots work well for him, and for you. I can't imagine giving one of my pets an injection every day. I've had to do IV fluid under the skin for my cat and dog who have suffered from kidney failure, which is no fun - that's a giant needle!
