On BCP for Cyst - question about Long AF

I was put on BCP (Ortho Cyclen) to try and get rid of a persistant cyst I have on my left Ovary. It is currently at 2.5cm.

My question is this. They put me on BCP on CD2 for me. And I have had AF ever since (I'm now on day 11). Did anyone else have this issue, with bleeding after getting put on BCP. It's getting really annoying and I have a feeling that it's not going to stop.

I've read online that this can be caused by too little estrogen causing the capilaries to not seal up and start filling in the lining of the uterus. I'm just curious about those of you who were put on BCPs for one month, what your experience was with it.


I need to call my RE about this, as if I bleed all month, how will I know when CD 1 is?? :confused:

Definetly call your doctor. Ive had to have my BC changed several times due to me getting AF and it not going away for a few weeks at a time. Each brand of BC pill is a little different, and your body can react differently to different brands. Maybe they can try something different with you if this persists?
