My friend just had her 3rd chemical pregnancy. She also had a healthy baby girl after her first 2 chemical pregnancies. What are some times that might help her prevent another one in the future? So far she read something about baby asprin. What else have you heard of? Thanks.
With that many early losses, I think it'd be premature to talk treatment before seeking a diagnosis. Baby aspirin makes some problems better, but others worse. Sometimes a reason for RPL can be found, sometimes not; but if so treatment can be tailored to the problem. If she's not already seeing a reproductive immunologist, I'd recommend it, if one's not available in her area an immunology-knowledgeable reproductive endocrinologist could be helpful instead.

Thanks, BTB. I am hoping her Dr. can help her. Since this is the first one since her last viable pregnancy, I am not sure what he will do, KWIM? I just feel so bad for her. :(
Me, too, it's really a sad situation. FWIW, the official definition of RPL is two consecutive losses or three total losses, so sadly she "qualifies" on both fronts, and could be worked up for it, not that that's any consolation. I hope her doc is able to help, if not, she could get a referral if she's interested.
