Charting Our Course to the BFPs
http://www.ripleysorlando.com/images2/fertilitystatues.jpg
The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.
So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!
Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.
Your threadmistresses for this thread are Chris n Jen and RobynScott.
To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread every month. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistresses would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if we get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
Want to join the fun??
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter if you have never charted before or if you’ve been charting to avoid. I am sure you will find lots of help and support in this group.
If you would like to join, CD1 is the time to do it! That way, we can cheer you on
throughout your cycle, rather than 2 days before you test! :cool:
Please don't be discouraged by the number of posts in this thread. You don’t have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page. Just read through these first couple of posts and post a reply with the following information and we will get you added right away. Of course, none of this info is a must but we like to know a little bit about one another.

Things I Have Learned About TTC
by WC's Sherylb
* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.
* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.
* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.
* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.
* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.
* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.
* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.
* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.
* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will
surprise you and yet disappoint you.
* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hope you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.
* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!
* You will have questions. No one will ever be in exactly your position, so don't be surprised when no one can give you exactly the answer you are looking for. But there are people that can contribute, so don't be afraid to ask!
* Two lines on a pregnancy test is not the end of the struggle. Pregnancy has lots of struggles in and of itself.

- Common TTC abbreviations
This is a list of some of the more common TTC abbreviations. I know as a newcomer to the TTC threads, it can be hard to keep them all straight. I hope these will help, and if anyone has any they would like added, please let me know!
•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AFNW: "Aunt Flo Not Wanted"; the day your period is expected to start, but you are hoping it doesn't!
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.
•BCP: Birth control pills
•BD'ing: "baby dancing"; baby-making intercourse
•BFN: "Big Fat Neutral" or “Big Fat Negative”; Negative pregnancy test.
•BF'ing: breast-feeding
•BRB: "be right back"
•CD: cycle day; a particular day in your menstrual cycle (example: CD1 is the first day of your period)
•CL: Cover Line; a visual tool used to separate the low (pre-ovulatory) temps from high (post-ovulatory) temps; a coverline is typically based on the temperatures 6 days prior to ovulation.
•CM: cervical mucous; one of the most useful clues your body can give you in predicting your fertility; it can range from dry, creamy, sticky, or (the most fertile) egg white/watery type.
•CF: cervical fluid; same as cervical mucus
•CP: cervical position; an optional, but sometimes really useful, fertility sign; CP will generally be low, firm and closed before and after ovulation, and high, soft and open during your fertile time.
•DD: "dear daughter"
•DH: "dear husband"
•DS: "dear son"
•DPO: Days Past Ovulation; number of days from your post-ovulatory temperature rise. (Example: 1DPO is the day after your ovulation)
•Endo: endometriosis (can be a fertility problem)
•EDC and EDD: estimated date of confinement (antiquated, but still used by physicians) and estimated date of delivery
•EPT: a brand of pregnancy test, or, generic for "early pregnancy test"
•EW or EWCM: egg white cervical mucus; the most fertile quality CM; it is slippery, clear and stretchy, like egg whites; also EWCF
•FAM: Fertility Awareness Method; the method of fertility and/or birth control that correlates the physical changes you experience during your cycle to predict when you are most fertile
•FF: Fertility Friend, an online (free, for basic services) fertility charting site (website); (could also be formula feeding; check context)
•FM: fertility monitor
•FMU: first morning urine
•FP: follicular phase; the phase before ovulation, where the egg matures in the ovaries
•FRED: First Response Early Detection (pregnancy test)
•HCG: human chorionic gonadotropin; the hormone that is present during pregnancy and what the HPT's and blood test measure to determine if you are pregnant
•HTH: "hope that helps"
•HPT: home pregnancy test; a urine pregnancy test you can take at home
•IMHO: "in my humble opinion"
•IMO: "in my opinion"
•IUI: intra-uterine insemination
•IVF: in vitro fertilization
•KU: knocked up
•LH: leutenizing hormone; the LH surge is what is measured by the OPKs; this hormone signals the egg to burst from the ovary
•LP: luteal phase; the phase of your cycle that begins just after ovulation and continues for 10-18 days, ending with the start of your next period; during the LP, your body continues to build up the lining of your uterus, and produce hormones which would support a pregnancy; this is the time when a fertilized egg can implant into the uterine lining
MBFP Mystery big fat positive- When you see a BFP in someone’s chart but they haven’t announced it yet
•NFP: Natural Family Planning; similar to FAM, but with abstinence during the fertile period
•O, Oing, Oed: ovulation, ovulating, or ovulated
•OPK: ovulation predictor kit; tests for presence of LH surge that usually precedes ovulation by 12-48 hours; these tests are quite expensive and not always accurate (if you take medication or depending on your age); these are optional when charting with FF, but if your fertility data is not clear it can bring more light and help interpret difficult cases
•OS: Ovusoft; charting software based on TCOYF
•PCOS: polycystic ovarian syndrome (a fertility problem)
•PG: pregnant
•PIAC: pee in a cup
•POAS: pee on a stick
•RE: reproductive endocrinologist
•SA: semen analysis
•SH: "sweet husband"
•SO: "significant other"
•SYS, SYL : See ya soon! or See ya later!
•TCOYF: Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler; a book and website about charting and fertility.
•TMI: "too much information" - There is no such thing when TTC!
•TTA: "trying to avoid"
•TTC: "trying to conceive"
•TTFN: "ta-ta for now"
•TTYL, TTYS: "talk to you later" or "talk to you soon"

A couple questions...
How long can an egg survive after it’s released? I’ve read anywhere from 6hrs all the way to 48 hrs with the average being 12 hrs. Is this about accurate? Doesn’t it take some time for the egg to travel to the uterus? The reason I ask is because my chart is looking suspiciously triphasic. We BD 2 days after O (at least I think so, see question #2) so I’m wondering if it’s even possible that I’m pg. I’d basically ruled it out since we were apart for what I thought was my fertile period so no BDing. I'm still trying to rule it out and not get my hopes up.
Do you think I O’d when both FF & OS say I did? (CD27). Could it have been a day off? (i.e. CD28 which makes conception on CD29 more likely?) Or was the temp jump on CD34 actually O day?
Trying not to read too much into it. I read in TCOYF that this pattern occurs in most pg women but not all. I also know you can have this pattern and not be pg too. Anyways, just curious what people think is going on with my chart and what's causing this the big temp jump. :confused:

SQ2- it looks like you O'ed later than FF says, have you tried adding a fake high temp for tomorrow to see if it changes the O date?

I sure hope September is a better month for all of us! That was my first time opening a new thread so let me know if you see any mistakes. I already noticed that when you click on the new thread link it takes you to the last post I posted instead of the top. Not a big deal but I'll fix it. :D

I might look into the Acupunture thing also but I HATE needles so I can't imagine that it's going to relax me.
I'm not a big fan of needles either, well actually, I don't like them at all. (having thyroid issues doesn't really allow for hating them, but if I didn't have to have blood drawn every few months, I would be in the hate them boat). Anyhoo, if you find an accupuncturist that uses the Japanese method you will hardly feel anything. The needles are tiny...like the size of a strand of hair. Pretty much the only thing I feel is the tube she uses to guide the needles, other than that I may feel a little when she's by my shins, but it doesn't "hurt" for more than a second. I'm not sure what the Chinese method feels like since I've never had that done, the needles are a smidge bigger so maybe you'd notice it a little more. But I'm not in pain.

I got my last post in just before this new thread so I'm going to re-post it here because I still need someone to talk me to my senses. :)
Thanks for the welcome ladies!
Kanga - I remember you too, neat to see you here since last time we were together you were a LIW IIRC!

I have totally convinced myself that I am PG. I had convinced myself of it by 6 dpo, when I had a nice temp spike but technically couldn't have even been pg yet. Then the next day my temp was still up and I thought to myself, "Aha, I knew it!". And then today my temp *dived*. So I was all bummed and everything and then I read about IMPLANTATION DIPS, so now I am pretty convinced again.
Someone talk me out of my madness!

Lora -
Well, considering that I am up against a LPD (luteal phase defect) I guess we had a relatively easy time (we got it the 5th month). I did use progesterone the month before I got PG though. My LPD has improved since giving birth so I guess I am hoping it will be even easier this time, plus, I am obsessed with having a May baby. :p

I just put a link to it in my siggy after that post when I realized people would have to dig for it otherwise! :D

Happy to see a new thread! I think that the title is very appropriate. :)
Tealynn- Not a pathetic pity party AT ALL, your feelings are very normal. If they aren't then a lot of us are pathetic, which of course isn't true. ;)
Steve's Sweety - I'm on my 4th cycle and also have a LPD, I'd be happy to get pregnant by our 5th month (4th would be even better). Did you ever figure out why you have a LPD? My dr's are still trying to figure out why I do.
SQ2 - Maybe you will have one of those miracle pregnancies, I've seen the charts on FF and ovusoft. However, in the interest of not getting your hopes up I will add that I had at least one beautiful triphastic chart while TTA.
Me: I did ALL the right things yesterday to increase my CM. I drank gobs of water, green tea, Fertilitea and a big glass of grapefruit juice. I had the EWCM but DH fell asleep really early (like 9pm). I was so sad (but tried hard not to be bitter/mad). Funny thing, he woke me up this am at 4:45 to BD. Not my preference, but I went for it. Ah the things we do to try to get pregnant.

No SOs for now, but I am done with the lap.
Copied from my journal:
Well, the lap is over and I am at home. I am still groggy, but I feel pretty good. All went well. I am a little sore at the incision sites (1 tiny one in my belly button and one tiny one in my pubic region) and I had some cramping when I woke up, but that's gone now. My dr. told DH that I don't have endo and things mostly looked good except for a little blockage in my left tube. She said she tried to push the dye in and it came back out at her instead of going through easily. She said she thought it was just a mucousy thing. I hope that flushed it out and we are good to go. She said the next step is post-coital test and IUI, but I think we are going to give it a few months first. The more people we talk to, the more we hear it took a year to 18 months or so for them to get pg...I asked DH where these people were the year before we started TTC so we could have started earlier. I feel like now I have done what I can do and I am more at peace with it, for now anyway.

Thanks for the new thread Jen! I think the title is cute- and very appropriate!
I will really try to get better at posting now that we have a new thread. August was a really ~blah~ month for me. I'm glad its almost over! September is my favorite month anyway- my birthday month, and there is just something about fall coming that makes me happy.
Welcome to all the new members who have joined this thread since I last posted! I hope you are all here for a very brief time! :D
Jess, I'm glad things went well with your lap & HSG. I hope that little flush will do the trick!
Steve's Sweety- what is your normal LP length? Because that sure does look like a good implantation dip, but I guess it could also be AF coming. I know you said you had an LPD. I'm not much help, am I? Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it is implantation!
SQ2, I'm not very good at distinguishing ovulation unless its a really obvious jump. I can't tell when I ovulated this month either. It does look like they are calling it right, but stranger things have happened!
honeygirl, hope you caught the egg with that AM BD session! I agree, I never thought I'd be getting up that early in the morning to BD! The things we do to have a baby. :p
MSH, Thanks for the baby dust! We all need it!!
Update on me- I have an appt scheduled with the RE for October 10th, which is the earliest they could get me in. So we have 2 more months to try and make it happen on our own. I did have 2 days of EWCM this month, so we took advantage of it! I don't hold out much hope, but I'll test if I get to 15 DPO. So, Threadmistress, can you move me to waiting to test, 9/4- 9/10? Thank you!
Katiems118 ~ FF didn’t do anything if I added a bunch more high temps. But, if I change Tuesday’s temp to 98.5 and Wednesdays to 98.4 , it gives me a later O date to CD34 (a week later). I’m still so confused. :(
Steve’s Sweety ~ I can definitely related to the ups and downs of getting excited or disappointed by every little change on my chart. I overanalyze, I have FPS. I’m trying to not get my hopes up but it’s so hard. It’s amazing what our brains will do to play tricks on us, whether we’re pregnant or not. Hang in there!
RobynScott ~ Welcome! :D
honeygirl ~ That is too funny about BD at 4:45am. The things we do! Hee hee. And yeah, I know triphasic charts can happen when there isn’t a pregnancy. What do you think, though, how long can an egg last?

tealynn - I'm sorry that I sent Ernesto your way. Hopefully he won't ruin your long weekend. If my experience with him means anything, he's all talk and no action. LOL We hardly got any wind or rain. They said we would flood but South Florida experienced a lot more flooding with last year's storms. Stay dry!
honeygirl - Glad DH woke you up this morning!!!
Jess - Glad the lap went well. Hopefully it did flush out whatever was blocking your tube.
Robyn - Welcome to the thread!
Me - Still no sign of AF. Ok can someone please explain to me what spotting is like??? I've been using a light tampon in the day because I feel like AF is on the verge of coming and everytime I take it out I see like a hint of brown tinged CM on it. I've been considering this spotting, but maybe its not? So confused! Just wish the old hag would arrive already.

SQ2 - Here's what I found re: the egg(s)
Most ova probably survive about six to twelve hours after ovulation. However, for the purposes of contraception, you must count on a 24-hour survival period, plus an additional 24 hours in case there is a multiple ovulation.
The woman's egg can only live up to 24 hours. Two or more eggs may be released over a maximum of 24 hours. So, in a vacuum, a woman is only fertile for about a day or two. But the man's sperm can live up to 5 days, so the combined fertility of the two individuals is about a week.

Yeah! A new thread! Now I can jump back in and not be too far behind! ;) I've been bad about temping this cycle so far (I've only temped today and yesterday and I'm already on day 11! :o Oops.). I usually O between 13-16 but I've been SWIMMING in EWCM yesterday and today so I'm wondering if I'm going to O earlier. My DH has been out of town and is coming back today, so we're gonna have to start getting it on just in case. Hopefully I'll be able to tell when I do given my lack of temps! As for my CM, I have been drinking a 72 oz jug of water each day, instead of my *maybe* 12 oz that I used to drink and I'm thinking that must by why I have so much more than normal. It's crazy! :D
Sorry for no shoutouts...I'll try to keep up from here. But, welcome to the new ladies in here, good luck to those getting ready to test, and sorry for those that AF found.

Hello September thread. I want to wish everyone lost of BABY DUST in the new thread.
A couple people posted that they are drinking lots of water and that is helping them get lots of EWCM. So will that do it? I posted in the last thread that I started drinking a little grapefruit juice this cycle, and I have not noticed an increase, although I am only on cd 8. I usually only get 1 or 2 days of fertile cm and think that I need more in order to help things along. Just trying to figure out how to get pregnant this cycle:confused:

honeygirl~ thanks for that info...I am hoping i am on the longer end of that spectrum...
mrs_pell~ if all you are doing is drinking more water I am gonna have to get one of those huge water jugs for next cycle..I had one maybe two good days...where is was present all day...I HOPE that was enough...
numberlady~ I think we are all just trying to figure out HOW to get preggo....its so stressful...I tried grapefruit juice and it really didnt do anything for me...I too will be trying more water next month!

Thanks for the well wishes, ladies! I took a nap this afternoon, but I have felt fairly good the rest of the day. I am a little tired feeling, my throat is scratchy from the tube, and I have some tummy pain, I think from the gas stuff they had to pump my abdomen up with, but it's all tolerable. I actually went out for pizza with DH and friends tonight. I may be more sore tomorrow, though, who knows. Kinda funny- it looks like somebody colored in my belly button with a purple magic marker. This cotton mouth is getting on my nerves, though. I am definitely getting my water quota for the day!
As for the water discussion- I think of it like this- all of your fluids are made up of water, and if you aren't getting enough, then you won't make enough. I can drink all the water I want and I still don't make much CM without drinking green tea too. Some people are just chronically dehydrated and the water is all they need. Well, I am getting tired. I think I will go.

SQ2 - I hate to say it, but based on your CM I would almost think you O'd on CD25 or 26. I'm no expert though... And I was under the impression that the egg lasted less than 24 hours after Oing.
Robyn - Welcome!
Tish - I know you wanted to be talked away from the proverbial ledge, but that is a mighty purdy chart...;)
Jess - Glad to hear everything went well!
Kelby - I started drinking a TON of water (about 80oz a day) back in May, and I haven't noticed any major increase in EWCM. I think it depends on the person.

mrs_pell - Yay for the EWCM!!!
polkadot - Thanks for the answer about spotting. That's what I was figuring. Wish AF would just show up already!
me - AF is still a no show. :( I guess the only good thing about it is that the longer she takes to arrive the more likely I'll O later this month which means I just might be able to start TTC this month again. LOL so silly how you justify what's going on with your body.

Hi all,
Thanks for the warm welcome! Day 4 of (brown) spotting here - AF expected Sunday - what the heck is going on?
New to charting here - just started last week (even though I was/am in the 2WW) to get in the habit to do it for real next month.
Q - when do you start seeing the temp drop for AF? I'm wondering if I am starting to see that now. This is my chart - I know I only have a few temps on there - not sure if you can tell anything by looking.
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1095fc
I know AF is coming - at the same time, I feel like I don't want to give up hope until she is actually here - and not this stupid brown stuff! ugh!
On the bright side, I keep telling myself if (when) AF shows, I can really start charting and getting an idea of what is going on with my body :) (is that sick logic or what?)
FSUSammy
09-01-2006, 08:19 AM
Robyn - Usually your temp does a drastic drop the day before AF. Granted everyone is very different. The thing is since you just started temping you wouldn't know what your coverline is so it's hard to tell what is a true drop for you. Sorry about the spotting. I'm having the same thing happen this cycle. I'm 15 DPO and I KNOW I'm not PG. Oh and you are NOT sick for wanting AF to show up so that you can start charting. For me the starting of a new chart is the start of another chance and hopefully better cycle.

Yes, we were thrilled to get PG in the time we did.
No, never figured out the LPD but they never mentioned trying to bc by the time I went to the Dr. for it I was already PG and just didn't know it yet. As I mentioned above though, giving birth changed my cycles for the better in that respect so I hope you get your BFP very soon and the same happens for you!
Jess -
I have high hopes for you getting PG right away after your lap, as I know people who have done just that. Glad you came out of it well.
Tea -
Thanks. :)
Lauren -
I am sorry, I hope labor day weekend brings you lots of good things.
Jenni -
My usual LP is around 9-10 days now and I occasionally get an 11 (when I was PG with my son and I got to 11dpo w/o AF I *knew* something was up bc they were running about 8-9 days then). You are right, it could really be either. Thanks for your input and best of luck to you this month!
SQ2 - Thanks. It's just kind of funny, when I was trying to get PG with my son I would hope every month but be pretty sure it wasn't my month, even the one I was PG. This time it's just like I've been totally convinced of it since early on!
Cat -
Thank you, I rather think so too, esp after today's temp.
FSU -
Hmm...your chart is hard for me to try and interpret. Those days of spotting make me wonder if that could have been either implantation spotting or a very light AF. I hope you get some answers soon!
------------
Ok ladies, I don't really think there's any talking me down anymore. :p
My temp went back up this AM, but I don't think yesterday's temp was actually an implantation dip because.....while I had told myself I was going to wait until at least 10dpo to test, this am at 9dpo I got a super faint 2nd line (that got definitely darker in a couple hrs) and if implantation just happened yesterday I don't think I'd get a + already.
I am not totally ready to call it yet but I'm pretty sure I will be in the next few days.
I can see the faint line fine on my camera but when I put it up on the computer it actually gets harder to see.
So, what do you think?

Robyn-I don't think we can tell anything by your chart, but my temp doesn't drop until AF has arrived. It's different for everyone. I hope you don't have to, but if you chart for a few months, you'll learn your pattern.
Little more sore this morning. The lady down the street asked me to watch her kids for a couple of hours tomorrow while she goes to get her hair done. She didn't know I was having the lap, but I told her yesterday and said I would see how I felt. Yesterday I was thinking I would be able to, but my belly button hurts today and she has a 10 month old. I don't think I could pick her up and I think I was told not to lift anything over 10lbs...

Steve's Sweety I see a line, esp. on the 3rd one! Congrats!
DH and I have decided despite our financial worries to keep on trying. It is quite a roller coaster this journey of TTC. But we are in it and plan to stay in it. (And honestly, I think DH just wants the lots of sex to continue!)
I'm expecting to O in the next day or so. I guess I'm kinda dull as I almost always O on the same day or so each month.
I'm trying to increase the EWCM and so am doing the grapefruit juice and the water thing as well. I'd drink green tea too, but I can't stand the stuff.:D

Well...that's what I'm not exactly sure of.
The faint line came up within the 3 minute window but it was so faint.
I don't know if evap lines are evap lines only when there was no 2nd line to start with, or if they can show up like that.
Jess -
Who me, test more? LOL. You should see all the tests I took with DS.
I didn't get what I considered a BFP with him until I was 15dpo!
The one this am was a Dollar Tree test and I have to go out later so I guess I will just have to pick up some more of them, and I also want to get a digital test for when I'm pretty sure, just FTR, since they had just come out when I got PG last time and were pretty pricey - I think they have come down in price now.
Anyway, I've got to get ready to go to a party at DH's work - I hope I can keep from saying anything because once I feel I can call it, I want to either wait and show him the shirt online and tell him look I want you to see this new shirt I'm getting DS, or wait until the shirt gets here (HAHAHA!) and have it on DS when DH gets home.

cat_loverpq
09-01-2006, 10:52 AM
Katie - I don't think the length of your LP is ever supposed to change, regardless of how early you O.
Tish - I can barely see a line in the second picture, but I bet that line gets darker if you test again in the next day or so. ;) Congrats!
berry - I would absolutely KILL for a regular cycle every month! That would not be dull at all, but rather refreshing!
Robyn - My temp usually drops the day after AF arrives.
SQ2 - Are you going to be testing anytime soon? ;)

Oh thanks! I could probably test tomorrow then right? FF says wait til Sunday though....is 11dpo too early?
cat_lover Oooo....don't tempt me! ;) You really think I should? I was thinking I should wait until at least 14DPO since that's how long my LP was last cycle. What do you think? How could I be pg? DH is going to think I cheating on him while he was gone. LOL. (j/k). Seriously though, I've been tring to convince myself I'm not, but it's so hard to ignore my consistent elevated temps and the triphasic pattern, not to mention all these FPS I've been having, especially today. Woke up feeling REALLY hot and have continued to feel that way. Even DH said I felt warmer than usual (although my temp was not any different than it has been in the last few days so I don't think I have a fever or anything). I've been super tired and have this weird taste in my mouth and some slight nausea. Ugh. Plus bloating and cramping. I'm driving myself nuts. I can't be pregnant, can I?
Thanks for letting me obsess. ;) :) I swear I feel like I'm driving everyone crazy. Oh well. Better here than IRL life right? :D
katiems118
09-01-2006, 11:03 AM
SQ2- maybe the egg was still good on CD 29 ? That could be contributing to the elevated temps...? Why dont you see what the temp is tomorrow, if its still up then test, if not, then wait and see?
DelSol
09-01-2006, 11:04 AM
katiems118 ~ from looking at your chart and not being an expert, it looks like your temp drops around 11 DPO then AF shows. I would wait to see what your temp does tomorrow and then test on Sunday.
Good Luck testing!
katiems118
09-01-2006, 11:06 AM
Thanks! I will see what the temp does tomorrow..
katie I'm hopeful that that's what happened. Wait and see I guess. I'm going to try to hold out until the end of the weekend at least to test. Still trying to convince myself I'm not pg. It's not working very well. ;)
I agree about your chart - the LP shouldn't change that much. I think TCOYF says that if you go 3 days past your normal LP length you are almost certainly pg. See what the temp does tomorrow and possibly test on Sunday like DelSol said. Good luck!

Hi girls~ I am at school so no time for a long post....
Steve's Sweety~ I see the lines on the 2nd and 3rd test...Test again in a few day and I bet it will keep getting darker...;)
My temp shot way up today...so I am assuming that I Oed...cant tell if it was yesterday or the sometime this week b/c my OPK's and my monitor were not accurate....but please...

Yay Steves Sweety, thanks for starting this month off right. :) Make sure to post the digital "pregnant" POAS. I had heard that a LPD can go away after a pregnancy, that would be nice. In the meantime though my dr's (now a RE) are trying to help us. My gyno doesn't have a lot of hope for us getting pregnant until they figure out (and treat) why I have a LPD.
I had a temp jump this morning and am hoping that means I ovulated. I'll probably go after my DH tonight just in case. I am SO tired right now, I came home from work early and I think I'm going to take a nap. Good thing I'm not in my 2ww or I'd be sure it was a FPS. ;)
SQ2 - Before I nap I think I'll check out some pregnancy charts on FF to see if any look like yours. :) Maybe you ovulated 2x? It happens, right?

Hi ladies..
I'm back home for a little bit this afternoon and thought I'd check in. Welcome to all the newbies! And a small congrats! to Steve'sSweety! I'm sure that line will be darker in a couple days!
Good luck to everyone else testing or O'ing soon, sorry to those AF found, and good luck to those in hurricane areas.
Nothing new here.. I think I'm on CD6 or 7. (Forgot to bring my chart back home with me.)
I have to head back to where I"m petsitting soon and probably won't be back home until Monday so have a good holiday weekend everyone!

JESS...I see you had your LAP ('cuz boy do I remember all those feelings just a month ago. :rolleyes: ) Maybe I missed it but what did they find? Endo??Thanks for the well wishes, ladies!

Hhmm... temp took a big drop today on 6 dpo. Implantation? Maybe? Hopefully?
I took a test this morning and BFN. Hoping it's just too early. :cool: I'm going to wait until Wednesday to test. That will be 16DPO and last cycle my LP was 14 days (the longest it's been since I started charting). Maybe I do have a miracle fetus in there as someone called it before. :D Hehe. But probably not...
LILRTL ~ Seems like around the right time for implantation. Hope that's what it is! :

pocahontas- Thanks for checking in on me! I remember hearing about yours and thinking, "yeah, I can do that!". They didn't find any endo, but one of my tubes was blocked. She talked to DH about it and I know she talked to me about it but I don't remember much. I think she said it was mucous-y but I don't know if the dye flushed it out or now. I guess I will find out at my 2 week appt. Anyway, she said the next step would be a post-coital test and depending on what that showed IUI, which is apparently the only thing my insurance doesn't pay for. I think we are going to hold off for a few months, though, and see what happens before doing anything else (I SO can't believe I'm saying that!)
Katie- pretty chart! And by 11DPO next month your temp had dropped instead of shot up!
SQ2- I hope it was just too early!
LILRTL- I hope it is an implantation dip!
me- not as sore today. It's kinda nice to be taking the month off and not stressing over every little thing. Weird....

(Cross-posted from SAI)
Well ladies, I am typing this from our hotel in Vegas. I flew over this morning for my cousins wedding this afternoon and will be flying back early tomorrow morning. Very quick trip.
Anyways, I woke up this morning and took a test......and guess what? It was +! I'm still not sure what DPO I am because I started temping vaginally this month and my temps were **WAY** higher than normal. The second line came up right away and is much darker than the one was when I had my miscarriage back in Feb. so I am cautiously optimistic. Of course I still won't beleive it until I get the beta results back, and really until we have the ultrasound and see the heartbeat. I am trying not to get my hopes up beacuse I really don't think I can handle another miscarriage. Oh, and FWIW, this was another unmedicated cycle, but my first cycle back on the metformin. I think that is the trick for us.
Anyway, just wanted to share the news. For those here who have been trying awhile like we have, please don't give up. This was our 15th cycle actively trying, and after the tests and the medication and the doctors visits, I was nearly ready to give up myself. So glad we didn't. :D

Katie -
Thanks.
Hoping tomorrow brings you another high temp and a BFP!
I agree with others who have said your LP should stay the same regardless of when you o. (Mine personally varies more than what it's "supposed" to but it doesn't seem to be related to where in my cycle I o)
SQ2 -
I agree with you maybe not having o'd until cd29.
Lora -
Thanks, and keeping my fingers crossed for you that you see a nice spike back up tomorrow, that's what happened to me. :D
honeygirl -
Thanks.
Well I hope they figure out what is causing your LPD.
I should have mentioned that I was on progesterone the month before I got PG with my son. And I had also started taking a B vitamin (can't recall which one at the moment but I had read that it could help lengthen your LP).
Have they had you try progesterone supps at all yet or have you considered trying natural progesterone cream?
ABirney -
Thanks!
jjsanner -
Congrats and sticky vibes coming your way!

Ok, well my temp was still up and the faint line was just a tad darker when I took a test this AM, so I told DH and decided to call it. :D We are so excited!

Congratulations jjsanner! Happy & Health 9 Months! We're planning a trip to Las Vegas, just need to decide on the date we want to go.
Katie ~ your chart looks good!
Good Luck to everyone testing this weekend. I hope we get some more BFPs.
Sorry to those who have AF showing.
Me ~ CD 10, couple more days and we can start BDing. I've been trying to get on for an hour or so. Whenever we get rain our connection gets funky. I told DH we have 4 days of BDing ahead of us. I plan on BDing from CD14 - CD17, which should cover me for my O day, the day before and the day after. Of course this is if I O on either CD 15 or CD 16, I should I have my bases covered. I went to Happy Hour on Thursday night and one of the ladies heard we are TTCing and said oh my DH just has to look at me and I got PG. :rolleyes: So she's like you'll get PG when you are least expecting it. I had laugh and say that might be true but I'm still gonna plan it out and hope we are successful this upcoming month.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Steve's Sweety - Congrats again, now that it's official. :) Yes, I'm taking progesterone, this is my 5th cycle on suppositories. I'm taking 100mg a day right now.
one of the ladies heard we are TTCing and said oh my DH just has to look at me and I got PG.
DelSol, got to roll your eyes at that one! If only it was that easy we'd ALL be pregnant by now. :rolleyes: Oh well, I had the dreaded "just relax" from a good friend this last week also. They mean well....
FSUSammy - Darn it, I'm sorry to see that you appear to be having an annovulatory cycle. When is the last time you had one of those? Maybe it was all the stress from the hurricane?
Jess71903 - Glad to hear that you are recovering well! Enjoy your month off. Does that mean no temping? I think that would be nice. :) I'd like to stop temping once I know I've O'd, but it is SO hard not to know.
Congratulations, jjsanner! :D

Good morning ladies. I am happy to announce that I ovulated, let the 2ww obsessing begin! Please move me to I O'd, testing 9/14.
Last night we went to Borders (they have some good coupons through the 4th including 30%, 3 for 2, etc) and I spent far too much time in the baby section. :o I did some "research" on baby books, pregnancy journals, etc. Didn't buy anything though. I saw a book with great photos of life beginning, starting with the sperm and the egg, ect. I will admit that I was hoping that it was happening in me right then! I'm in the part of the cycle where I can start imagining and hoping that we're pregnant. KWIM? I've got to try to keep it to a minimum though, b/c it is such a disappointment when AF shows. I know that you ladies hear me on this!
BTW - FF says I o'd on CD21 and Ovusoft on CD22, I tend to believe ovusoft but what do you think? Am I 3 or 4dpo?

Hello! :). I've been TTA for over 3 years, and now, for the second time, I find myself in an unexpected 2WW :eek: . DH & I were skinny dipping after a few (or more) drinks last week and, well... ;) I knew my CD was around my normal O, but I had next-to-no CM when it's usually flowing. Yes, there were fertile qualities to it, so I can't plead complete innocence, but I really thought it was going to be another annov or delayed-O.
The first oops was last fall and I had an early m/c. DH has been ready for about a year, but I've wanted to wait until I've accomplished certain things in my career. It will be much easier for me to WAH part time, which is important to me. I admit, I was excited by the first pg & very upset when we lost it, and here I am, excited all over again!

honeygirl Hooray for O'ing! :D
polkadot Yay for positive thinking! :) Best of luck to you!
DelSol I thought if your temps don't stay way up (especially with a triphasic pattern) you're probably not pg? :confused: I guess I shouldn't give up until AF shows, or maybe I'm just mentally moving on to the next cycle and will be pleasantly surprised if I'm wrong. ;) Ah, mind games, mind games...:rolleyes:

Ah, mind games, mind games...:rolleyes:
I love this! I am still playing mind games with myself. Day 6 of spotting! (ugh) AF due today - temp dropped as well - and I am still trying to tell myself that maybe there's still some chance .... ha, yeah right!
katiems - from the admittedly small amount I know about charts - yours looks great!
SQ2 - don't give up until you see red! - ha, see what I posted about myself above ;)
I make myself even crazier b/c a friend of mine (now 6 mos pg w/twins!) thought she had her period - turns out she didn't and didn't find out she was pg till 8 weeks! :eek: So, I keep thinking there's a shot no matter what - even though I know AF is right around the corner.
Sorry I'm not doing complete So's - I'm supposed to be working. I'll try to get better, I promise!
Robyn So, I keep thinking there's a shot no matter what - even though I know AF is right around the corner. As much as I come on here and say "moving on to the next cycle", I have to admit I'm still hanging on a small bit of hope, even though I'm fairly sure I'm out. (It's these cramps and bloating I'm having, I've had them for 4 days now and it's not like anything I've ever felt before AF.) It's amazing what the ups and downs of the TTC emotional roller coaster does to you. And I'm only on my 1st cycle trying! Oy, I'm in for a ride. :o

Welcome jokerkitty, the last lady that joined us in her 2ww got a BFP. :)
SQ2 and RobynScott- I completely understand (mind games) and do the same thing during (and sometimes after) my 2ww. I think we just want to be pregnant SO badly that our minds are willing to imagine almost anything.
We are having a late start to our day today, we slept through church. ;) We've got to get out of the house and do something. What are your plans ladies? Besides obsessing over CC of course.
RobynScott
09-03-2006, 02:08 PM
Besides obsessing over CC - I am at work. You'd think I'd get off of here and just try to get my work done so I could get out of here - but oh no, why would I want to do that for myself :)
also waiting for AF to arrive - I've been spotting for 6 days now! (today is CD 29) - she should be here today. Temp dropped this morning - come on already and get here so I can get rid of this false hope! I know you're coming - just get here so I can lose the bloat and move on!
so, that's what I am doing :) hope everyone else has a RELAXING Sunday!
Cleaning the house, hanging out with DH, and getting things ready for school (starts this week). I feel like my uterus is either going to implode or explose. Seriously, I've never had bloating/cramps this bad. That and (sorry, TMI) constipation. I never have this problem. Usually it's the opposite. :rolleyes: I keep going to the bathroom, thinking AF will be here any second. Actually think I might be seeing some spotting, but it's very faint, and then it goes away for awhile before coming back. So weird. I'm with you Robyn...I wish AF would just arrive so I can finally move on.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, ladies! :)

I've been out for the last 3 days and already missed 8 pages! So I'm not planning on going through them all, but did notice a BFP on someone's chart. I hope this was already called out but congrats Steve's Sweetie!!!!
Well, AF has definitely arrived. :( But, I'm ok with it because I knew we didn't really have much of a chance this cycle because of our poorly timed BD. Plus I just wanted to get on with it and not wonder anymore whether or not I was pg. I think I might have actually O'd a day or two earlier than my charts say I did. My last LP phase was 14 days and this one was only 12. On CD20 I was traveling overnight so didn't get to temp and then the next morning's temp was probably a bit messed up from the time change. My CM pattern seems to suggest it anyways. I'm just excited to get started with this next cycle, especially since it seems like my cycles are getting shorter. I feel like this will be our first legitimate cycle at TTC since DH's boys will actually have a chance. LOL. ;) And hey, now that AF is here, it's that much sooner we can start trying again! :D
Please move me to waiting to O. Thanks.

Aw, Katie. I'm sorry. :( Looks like you and I were in the same boat this cycle. High temps at 12DPO, BFN, then temp dive. Hopefully next cycle will be it for us!
Cosmogirl - Yeah, my chart is pretty picture perfect for pregnancy with the dip before O, the implantation dip and then going triphasic. I guess this teaches me not to read into that stuff too much next time. It really messes with my head. :rolleyes:

09-04-2006, 10:10 AM
Thanks for the welcome, honeygirl :). I think I agree with OS that you O'd CD22. FF is smoking something.
I'm so sorry to all of you the witch found. It seems to be happening in bunches.
Cosmogirl, I've O'd as late as 2 days after Peak Day. I think TCOYF says +/- 2 days on either side is typical.
I much calmer about this 2ww today. I hope I stay this way, at least until I know implantation is a possibility (yeah, right). Right now I'm noticing what might be considered a symptom after implantation & think to myself, "hmmm, if this were next week, I'd think this stomach twinge/heightened sense of smell/backache was a symptom. I know it's not now, but if this happens next week, what exactly would be causing it?" :rolleyes:
ETA: SQ2, I never thought to look at my LP temp patterns before I got pg the first time. Looking back, I had several picture-perfect tri-phasic charts, including my pg chart, and the 3 directly following the m/c. It really does mess with the head. :(

honeygirl ~ I've slept in the whole weekend, catching up on my missing sleep. Plans - not much, I should put my bathroom together but every time I want to DH is sleeping. I might go shopping later on and catch up on my soaps.
katiems118 ~ sorry AF is on her way. That happened to me last month, my chart was looking good and then temp dive.
jokerkitty ~ I forgot to say WELCOME! :D
DelSol ~ Here's what TCOYF says about triphasic temp patterns: ... triphasic pattern of temperatures is virtually always caused by a pregnancy. It is thought to be the result of additional progesterone circulating in the woman's body and increases about the time of implantation...My professional experience is that this triphasic pattern seems to occur in most pregnant women who chart... I think that's on pg 317. Anyways, so a bit too hopeful. I think FF has a more neutral stance on triphasic charts.

Hi all,
Another one with another temp dive this morning. Af was due yesterday - I've been spotting for 6 days - I was actually happy I am temping b/c the temo dive kept me from getting my hopes up at the lack of AF. I suspect she will be here in full force by the end of the day. I am really bothered by the 6 days of spotting though - going to call the Dr. tomorrow and see if I can make an appt. - knowing them, it will probably take months to get in!
sorry for no SO's right now - as usual, supposed to be working. It's beautiful out and I just want to be out - or at least enjoying the labor day sales! - so going to try and finish off this thing I am trying to write.
ETA - please move me to waiting to O. I think this is CD1.

Hi ladies.. hope everyone had a great Labor Day!
Congrats jjsanner!!! sticky vibes to you.
Welcome jokerkitty.
I just got back from petsitting so behind on the thread.. but sorry to those AF found and good luck to those testing soon.
CD10 here, so boring. According to the predictor thing on Ovusoft, I should O middle of next week.... we are on vacation next week so hopefully lots of BD'ing! (Have to keep warm in the tent you know... ;) ) That is, IF we get to go camping. (Depends on if SIL has her baby yet! She's probably getting her membranes stripped on Wednesday. Invited me to the appt... I"m going to be in the delivery room with her.)

Wow you ladies have been so busy the last few days!!
Congrats jjsanner & Steve's Sweety!!! Wishing you both a very happy and healthy 9 months.
I'm on CD24 and it looks like an annovulatory cycle again for me :( I had 3 days of high temps then it droppped down for 4 days and now is back up again. Cramps are extremely severe for the last 5 days (really ruined my long weekend :() so I can't wait for AF to arrive :( I am so disappointed, I really thought this was our month but I've had my private pity party and am ready to move on :p
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day!!

Welcome to jokerkitty and cosmogirl May your stays be short, but sweet.
Me? I am going to go nuts this cycle.
My Chart (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/128004)
I am 14 dpo. My longest LP to date is 12 days. :confused:
Last night my HPT was a BFN and my temps are taking a slow downward slide. My only hope right now is that I should have tested with FMU but got impatient after coming back from vacation. If my temps are still above the coverline tomorrow morning, I guess I'll test again. But I don't have a single symptom in sight to make me actually believe something good could come out of this :( Bleh!
Here's hoping for a lot more good news and positive energy in September! :)

Yeah, they are more neutral about this.
Again, I had the perfect trphasic chart last month, and I'm still here:p But I have to admit that in the cycle that I got preggo with my son, I also had a triphasic chart.:D

Hey ladies. No time for S/O's this morning. I'm on D 42 still no AF. My spotting has stopped. I'm still cramping like crazy and just waiting for AF to show up. I'm definitely having an annovulatory cycle. Not sure if AF will just show up or if my body will try to O.

So, I couldn't stand it. I tested today on 9 DPO - BFN. BUT. My temp took a big dive. It's waaaaaay too early for AF. She usually shows around 14-16 DPO. So maybe THIS could be implantation? I dunno.

CD29 here and a nice high temp this morning. I'm really hoping that means I have Oed but we broke out the heavy comforter last night so that could be the reason for the rise as well.
I'm not expecting to have a chance to post in here again for at least another week. Hopefully work will slow down a bit in another couple of weeks.
Good luck to everyone.

I'm getting cautiously excited about my chart this month. The longest LP I've had since starting to chart is 12 days, and today is day 14. Yesterday I went to the bathroom a hundred times to assure myself I wasn't bleeding yet and today will probably be the same. My temp this morning was 98.2 which is definitely a post-O temp for me, and usually my temp drops below 98 the day AF arrives. Sooo...if I don't get AF at work today I'm stopping at Target to get some tests. Still, I have been spotting, and it could just be that my cycle is normalizing after all those years on BC. Or maybe FF and I are wrong about the date I O'd.

jjsanner ~ Congrats!
I've been out of town all weekend and haven't been able to post. Since there have been so many posts that I've missed, I'm just going to take the easy route today and say that I'm sorry for those that AF found, and maybe September will be a better month. :)
My chart shows a big temp rise today, but it's actually an adjusted temp. My temp was 97.4 at 2:30 am, and since I usually temp at 4:30 I wouldn't have gotten a full 3 hours before then, so I just adjusted my early temp. I've been having EWCM for the past three days, which is very unusual for me this early in my cycle. Usually I don't O until CD16-17 (or later), so I'm excited that I might have O'd already! Hopefully I'll get a good night's sleep tonight and see another high temp tomorrow. :D

I haven't tested again because I'm sure I don't need to and even though I want to see that PREGNANT reading on a digital test, I just can't justify spending the money on it when I already know I am. So unless someone wants to buy the other half of a 2 pack of digital tests from me, I guess I am going to do w/o it. (Seriously, if someone does PM me) What can I say, I'm frugal. ;)

I promise to try and come back later for SO's.
CD2 here- made a drs. appointment for 9/14 (which I guess will be CD 11) - I'm just glad that they are fitting me in so fast! (in case I didn't post about it here, had 6 days of spotting before AF showed)
I'm really liking the charting / temping thing. Really helps me feel like I have a clue what is going on. Had another temp drop today and AF showed in full force - it's so interesting to me to be able to see what is going on with my body through temps! now I only wish I had started sooner.
Have a good day and good luck to all!

Yeah on to the next cycle...DH is going to be away from 9/7-9/22, and FF says Im going to O on 9/22...do you think after I pick my DH up from the airport from flying from England to Los Angeles he will be in the mood? I sure hope so otherwise, Sept will be out...

Hmm...well, I took an HPT after work today and at first I thought it was negative, but after squinting and holding to the light, there *may* be a line, or it could just be an evaporation line. It was definitely diluted urine, so I'm going to try again in the morning (as long as my temp stays up). Still no AF, so even with inconclusive HPT results I'm still feeling pretty hopeful. Tomorrow is DPO 15!
RobynScott I also think it's cool how you can tell AF is coming when your temp drops. I love charting! :D

JESS...after my LAP it was a pain trying to figure out when AF might show because my temps were so screwy. So good luck with that! :rolleyes: (That ol' hag actually ended up showing up exactly 14 days later...so it was like just having my usual LP from the day of the Lap to the day she showed which is typically 14 days. Obviously, I didn't ovulate that cycle.)

Am I being impatient? Should I call my doctor? Hang on a couple more days? It just seems ridiculous that I have now exceeded my longest LP by so much and nothing. But of course, I don't have a single symptom either. Is there any possible way I got the O date wrong?

CD25 for me today. Cramps much much better today which is odd, they usually get worse till AF arrives and then stop. Now just more of an annoyance than anything else. Temp the highest its been all cycle. AF usually arrives CD 28 so we will see, though last month she arrived on CD25.

It seems like I haven't posted here in a while. Just been trying not to obsess too much this cycle. I think my temp did its pre O dip this morning, so at least one more day for bd'ing :) I don't think the graprefruit juice worked much for me. I haven't noticed any more CM than normal, but I will see what happends between now and O.
SweetRed I would probably move your O date back one day and your coverline up .10 because I don't agree with the O date FF gave you. Change the detection setting to Fertility Awareness and see if the dates agree with what I said above, or if it gives you a totally different date/coverline.
Magrat I hope that line is darker today.

Sorry to everyone that got AF.
Me - CD 43 for me. Still no AF. Spotting has stopped. My temps are still low so its just a matter of time before she arrives. DH asks me daily if she has arrived. I think he's getting worried that something is wrong with me. We know there is no chance that we are PG. He thinks that it could be the medicine I've been on the past month to control the acid reflux causing an annovulatory cycle. Not sure if that's the case or not. How long do you guys think I should wait before I call up my ob/gyn to beg for provera to bring on AF???

I've tried all the detection methods, and they all stick with the same O date. My coverline every cycle has been the exact same (within a couple thousandths of a degree), but even moving that up and the O date like you said still means I'm a couple of days longer LP than usual.
Thanks for the ideas and input! You can tell this is driving me a little nutty. I'm usually so calm, cool, and collected :) I hope your O date is right around the bend!

If a line is really a line, then I'm pregnant :eek: It was very faint this morning, but not quite as faint as last night. And today my temp was still up, and TCOYF says 3 days of high temps longer than your longest ever LP means you're pregnant. I'm pretty much in a state of shock. I have a cold and between coughing and my heart racing all night thinking about this, I got like an hour or two of sleep. I really really thought it would take us longer, I didn't have much in the way of CM, and we didn't time it that well. Still, I've got 9 months for it to sink in. I'm just hoping it sticks!
sweetred If you O'd when you think you did, then according to TCOYF, you're pregnant. I'm 15 dpo and my line is so faint you'd think I was testing earlier, so you could be pregnant and it's just not showing up yet.

SweetRed ~ Any chance you O'd on CD28? Just a shot in the dark.
When I put my temp in this morning FF says I O'd on CD8. Does that seem right? I would think it would be CD9 according to my other signs (CM, cervical position). If I change it to any other methods it takes away my crosshairs completely. I think I'll just wait another day or two to call it officially...

Congratulations, magrat! :D
SweetRed I'd suggest waiting a couple days and test again. It might just be to early. I think it varies how long it takes the hormone to show up in each person, since implantation happens at different times for everyone. (I think.) If it goes past 18DPO, then call your doctor. Good luck!

Congratulations Magrat! This is turning out to be a good start to the month!
SweetRed, I think FF has your O date right. I agree with SQ2, wait a couple of days and try testing again. A lot of women don't produce enough HCG this early to show up on a test. What kind of test are you using? Maybe try a First Response, I think they are among the most sensitive.
Well, my temp went back up this morning after a drop yesterday. I can't decide if its real or just from my bedroom being hot. I am cramping, and feel like AF is going to show any minute. I feel like holding my breath all day long until I can temp again tomorrow! I really wanted to test this AM, but can't handle seeing another BFN, so I will wait. ***tapping fingers impatiently*** :D

Congrats Magrat, a line is a line!
SweetRed, I'm going to agrees w/ Catlover, you may have O'ed on CD 28 which would put you at 9DPO. When you take into consideration your continued watery CM past FF's O date, which is still considered fertile, and your history of long, irregular cycles (I'm having a hard time w/ the fact that your O date keeps skipping around from CD22 to CD32) then I would give it a few more days and SWH. Sorry it's so confusing. Even if you O'd later, your still in the game. ;)
FSUSammy, I was thinking the same thing about the Acid Reflux or the procedure causing an anov cycle for you, except that I've been taking Nexium for about 3 weeks and my cycle has been pretty regular...but as we all know, everybody's body (mouthful!!!) is different.
Warning *Delusional Comment Ahead* I've convinced myself that even though AF visited for 6 days, I might be PG. Today's temp, the first one I took since "starting" last week was unusually high for pre O (98.40). Plus I've been getting teary-eyed at stupid commercials. AND, well that's all. I'm trying to make myself feel naseaus but I can't. Anyhoo, if my temp is still high tomorrow, I might POAS, just for the heck of it. Also, I'm having absolutely no AF symptoms, which I usually have extremely sore BBs and leg muscles. Who knows. I figure if my temp stays or goes up, I will test on Friday. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, because then I'll be really down if it's not my month. :rolleyes:
I noticed on some of your FF charts...it says how many dpo you are. Is that a paying member thing or a setting somewhere?

Thanks, everyone, for the welcome :).
Congrats, Magrat!! Happy & Healthy 9 months to you & the little one!
Threadmistress, please put my chart under, "Think I O'd - Testing 9/4 - 9/10." Thanks!
6 DPO & for the first time I actually started wondering about things that are "different." :rolleyes: It's not time yet! Not to mention the things I'm noticing would probably have nothing to do with it anyway. Such as my cervix. It feels *extremely* low & firm. Will someone PLEASE remind me that there's absolutely no chance for me to be experiencing anything different?
I'm a little (OK, a lot) worried about my prog. levels & how it might affect implantation. I had the early m/c last fall, then in March my doc checked my prog levels at 9 DPO & they were 6.7 (10-15 is expected for a pg). He suggested not worrying about it until we were ready to officially TTC. Also, my LP last cycle was only 10 days, shortest it's ever been, and I've had very little CM for the past 2 cycles. I know my doc, and he won't do anything until a pg has been confirmed. It's enough to make me want to test early just so I can get prog sups sooner rather than later. No. I did not just say I want to test early. AGH!
foxyboro, have you been checking CM? I think if you assume the high temp was a fluke, I think it's more likely you O'd CD21. That would give you another 3 days or so before AF is expected.
SweetRed, how frustrating! Just curious, where does FF want to call your O?
ABirnery, good luck to your SIL!
honeygirl, looks like we're cycle twins :).And Polkadot's just one day ahead of us. What do you mean you won't be around to obsess?!
Risa, I'm sorry :(.
ptcrn, I agree your chart looks good :). Good luck tomorrow!
cat_lover, I agree that CD8 seems wrong. What caused the open circle yesterday? It could be that you O'd then.

I'm off to the airport. I've been feeling tired and a bit sick today. Too early to be FPS, so I'm probably just a little run-down/sick. Jokerkitty - I'll be visiting family and I'm not sure how much computer access I'll have, therefore not as much (or any) CC. I may still find a way to get on though. :) It's nice to have a cycle buddy, I think there are a few of us on the same CD.

Sweetred - You can tell this is driving me a little nutty. I'm usually so calm, cool, and collected I think TTC does this to all of us :) Oh, and on your O date, I can kind of see it being the 28th as others have suggested, but your recent temps would have you drop below the coverline. I'm not sure what that would mean if anything. I am used to seeing all or most temps above the coverline after O.
Magrat - I'm so glad there was a line this morning too. Congratulations!
Catlover - I agree with you and think you o'd on cd 9. Wow that is an early O, at least you had warning with that fertile cm.
polkadot - I hope this cycle is it for you. You deserve it.

I'm on CD26, just waiting for AF to show which should be in 2 days. Still some mild cramping but not like I had a few days ago. Temp still high I keep telling myself that with the low temps there is no way I am pg but it is just not working :p

Temp dropped below the CL this morning. AF is definitely on her way today. And if my body decides to O the same time as it's done the past 2 out of 3 cycles, I'll be out of town away from DH this next cycle.

RP from SWH:
Good Morning ladies. I'm on CD 44 today. Still no AF. I have a splitting headache today though. I stopped taking some additional supplements yesterday. I remembered something yesterday about my last annovulatory cycle. A few cycles back I got this bright idea (after reading boards) that I should take B complex to help lengthen my LP. Well that cycle looked a lot like this one where I had a temp shift that lasted 11 days and then my temp dropped and was hovering around my CL for several days. I then stopped taking the B Complex and a day or two later I got AF. This cycle was the first cycle that I started taking "girl" supplements (to make my environment more acidic) and I had the same experience where my temp went up and then 11 days later my temp dropped below my CL.
So we'll see if AF comes in a day or two.

Looks like I was right. FF moved my O date to CD9 this morning. :)
Please move me to "Think I O'd - testing 9/16-9/17".
jokerkitty ~ Oops. The open cirlce was b/c I woke up and temped earlier than usual, and originally adjusted my temp. I was playing with my O date to see if FF would change it when I put in my actual temp (at 2:30 am) and forgot to change the time back to normal when I re-adjusted it. :o But I think my O date is right now.
numberlady ~ Yeah, it's a really early O date! Especially when my average O date is around CD17! I was definitely lucky to get as much EWCM as I did. :D
SweetRed ~ I am so sorry. :( **Hugs** Maybe you will O a little later next cycle and still get some BDing in...

Good Morning Ladies!
I'll be back for shout outs, have to get ready for some training.
I'm on CD15, looks like my temp jumped up so I'm thinking today might be O day, no pains yet so hopefully I can catch the egg tonight & tomorrow. We did some BDing last night, DH was tired so it was suppose to be a quickie but didn't turn out that way. When I got home form work I said we have to DTD tonight and he asked baby time? I said yup and he was cool with it but said he was tired (he didn’t go to bed until 3AM) and it's would have to be a quickie so I would have to consider tonight to be sperm transfer only, no fun before hand. (Now I’m thinking I’ve been telling you for days that Wednesday through Saturday would be the days, guess he wasn’t listening or forgot). I said fine but tomorrow you're gonna get your A game on! He agreed. I was laughing because he was saying tonight is sperm transfer only. Only my DH! :p

Bye magrat! Best of luck to you!
Since I'm fairly new here, is it taboo to update on someone else's chart? From stalking I noticed that motray36 is back to waiting to O. Do the threadmistresses ever update on their own when they notice something like that, or do you wait for the person to post and update themselves? Just curious! :)

Wow, this thread goes like crazy. I fogot to subscribe to the new month.
Congrats Magrat!!
I'm still waiting to O.
Everytime we BD DH says that we just made a baby. He's convinced that it will only take us one month of trying. He's being so obnoxious (thinking conception is oh so easy) but I would love for him to be right. At least if it takes us longer than a month I will be able to say I told you so.
This waiting thing sucks. And I haven't even gotten to the exciting waiting part yet.
numberlady
09-07-2006, 10:57 AM
Sweetred - Sorry AF is on her way. That sucks.
DelSol - So funny about DH. My Dh is the same as yours, we have been preparing for days, and last night he tells me he feels like a monkey??? Still not sure that I know what that means... maybe monkey see monkey do, I don't know:confused:
Not sure about my chart right now. I temped this morning and told DH that we still had another day based on my temps, but my CM seems to have dried up and I was having what could have been O pains yesterday, that I just remembered. This has been a hard cycle to temp because my sleep has been horrible, so I guess tonight will be some BD just in case and see what happens with my temp tomorrow, but it might be too late and we will just have to go with what we have.
Is it possible to O and not have a temp jump?

Catlover I think we all agreed several threads back that it would be okay if the threadmistress moved a chart to where they belong even if the person didn't request it. I'm guessing that one of our threadmistress' will move Motray back to waiting to O on the next update. :) BTW, what an early O date...I've heard of late O's but not early O's. Looks like you've got good timing though...
Honeygirl, I know you're gone but I'll be stalking your chart if you have time to update temps. You're post O temps this cycle are much higher than your previous cycles. I really hope you caught the egg this time!
Numberlady, Did you put in a high temp for tomorrow to see if FF would give you crosshairs? I'm seeing Friday's temp already...I would say it looks like to me that your O date is going to be CD 15 or today. See if your little monkey will give it one more shot tonight (no pun intended).:D
Sweetred, hope AF is a no show! I know how devastating it can be when the stars don't seem to align just right. I never realized, because my husband doesn't travel for work, that it might be a problem.
Jokerkitty, I think if you LP is 10 days, you'll be okay. And look at Magrat, she just talked about short LPs, little to no CM and spotting up to 5 days before AF and she just got her BFP. There's still hope and it is your first cycle TTC so I would try to sit back and enjoy the roller coaster ride this time.
Polkadot, speaking of the stars aligning, I'm so rooting for you this time. It's got to be your turn!
My temp dropped this morning a little so I've talked myself out of being PG today. I guess I'm just hot blooded. There's no real reason for my high pre O temps so I'm going to focus on the BDfest which won't be for about a week and a half. I guess I'm going to have to fixate on someone elses chart for now. I'm off to stalk...

tealynn ~ Thanks for filling me in. I didn't want to sound like the chart police or anything, but I figured our TM's (threadmistresses) are just busy and hadn't noticed motray's chart. :) As for my early O date...I think it's my body's way of making it up to me for last month, which was annov. :p Either that or it's just too excited to get pg!

And in return for all of your kind words, ideas, insight, and support, I thought I'd share my twisted sense of humor from my LJ entry today:
Top 10 Reasons I am Happy Not to Be Pregnant with a Due Date of 5/15/07
10. If I delivered on my due date, I'd be 7 days shy of qualifying for FMLA at my job (just in case)
9. I won't have to worry about calling DH out of a final exam because my water just broke
8. Heaven forbid I go into labor in the middle of the season finale of "The Office"
7. I would miss out on a golden opportunity to be nine months pregnant when it's 100 degrees outside
6. Like I could handle a Taurus child... Ha!
5. I would enter my second trimester on Halloween. That has to be a curse or something.
4. I simply do NOT want my child sharing a birthday with Pierre Curie!
3. My genius child can spell May in utero. Give 'em something hard... like June!!!
2. August is such a cliche month for conception
1. Ummmm... I've run out of reasons :(

FSUSammy - Yea, I could see if that was my normal pattern to dry up first, but I don't think it has ever happened. I hope it is not starting a trend.
Tealyn - I told him I was feeding him bananas:) And your interpretation is probably what he meant. I just couldn't figure it out and felt dumb asking him. Oh and he will have to perform one more time and then I will let him rest. I'm ready to move on.
Polkadot - I think it will give me cd 15 too, I just wonder if I really O'd on cd 14, since I usually only get a little EWCM and it is always on O day and I got that yesterday.

Nothing new here. Called SIL 2 or 3 times today, no labor starting yet. I was toying with the idea of not bringing my themometer camping with us (according to Ovusoft I should O while we are gone camping... if I O at all. Ran that idea by DH, he said he knows I'll never be able to do that... will drive myself nuts wondering what my temp would have been. He knows me too well.. lol.
ptcrn - I agree with the CD 18 O date too. Hope the temp goes back up tomorrow and AF stays away!

Spoke too soon, I'm back. It didn't stick. I'm not too upset because I never really believed it could be true and I had serious doubts that it was going to stick. I'm glad to know we can get pregnant without too much trouble, which was my biggest concern, and am confident with a little progesterone supplementation or something we can do it again soon. So no dramatic condolences please, I feel only slightly more disappointed than any other month when AF arrives.

Hello ladies...
I was going to wait to join this group when I was back to CD 1, but I can't make heads or tails of my chart now.
CC Name:
Me: Angela/28
DH: Leo/26
Married since: 1-22-2005
Off BCP since: 2000...crazy stuff too
TTC since: 08/2006
Charting since: 7/2006
Known issues/test results: unknown
Chart: in my siggy
Current status: thought I o'ed, but no real thermal shift according to Ovusoft.
Okay, I got a blaring positive OPK on CD 17, but no coverline appeared on my chart. Every other OPK I took was either non-existent or very faint. Well, the CL appeared, but as I continued temping, it got higher and higher. Also, no EWCM to speak of, at the most only WM.
Does this cycle look anovulatory to you guys? My temps continue to be high, but BFN's keep coming up too.

Magrat - I hope that you are going to test today too, because I noticed that you got a + on your chart just yesterday when "AF" started.
SQ2 - Still chart obsessing, because what I though would happen this morning didn't. I'm sitting here typing with TCOYF in my lap:rolleyes:
kuklaki - Since I am sitting here with TCOYF in my lap (see above) I think your O date is cd 20. You still had good bd timing, but it might be too early to get a bfp since you would only be 10 dpo today.
melandtim - I hope AF stays away
As for me, I have decided that either I am going to have my latest O date since Jan 2005, which means I'm still in the game or this is going to be an annovulatory cycle, which would really suck. So I'm just going to chill out and try not to obsess any more this cycle.

Welcome kuklaki! Hope your stay is short & sweet.
Sorry to see you back Magrat. :( Can you please re-post your info so we can add you back on the first page.
Not trying to discourage anyone but I wanted to share a story about what happened to me a couple of cycles ago since we have to many newbies that weren't around at the time.
I tested at night with a First Response and got a faint second line. The next morning I tested again with FR, another faint second line. DH could see them both so I know I wasn't hallusinating. The next morning I posted in here and even started a thread asking if it was a +. Everyone kept telling me "a line is a line" and "congrats". At lunch I ran out and bought 3 more tests (all different brands + 1 digital). On lunch break I took one of the other tests and it came back -. Then next morning I took the other 2 and they were both - also. AF showed later that day with me not having any signs that she was coming, no cramps or anything. After posting about all this I had quite a few girls tell me that they had also gotten false +, especially with First Response. I have no idea what happened, weather it was a chemical pregnancy or just false results. :(
I wanted to share because I hate to see people get their hopes up and think they are preggo just to be crushed if it turns out they aren't. I just don't want anyone to have to go through the crazy emotional roller coaster that something like this causes. Be excited and hopeful but still be a little bit cautious until you get that dark solid line.

kuklaki ~ Welcome! I agree with numberlady and think maybe you O'd around CD20-21. I say wait and test early next week, maybe Monday/Tuesday.
SweetRed ~ Sorry about AF, but I'm glad you have such a positive outlook on it. That list was great!
magrat ~ That's a really high temp for having AF. Still holding out hope for you...
pctrn ~ I think your O date is correct too. Maybe your body is just taking longer to produce enough Hcg to register on a HPT?
LILRTL ~ Are you testing soon? That's a mighty fine lookin' chart you got there...;)
SQ2 ~ Thanks!
Cosmo ~ I think anyone can have a delayed O and get pg, even if you are usually "regular". Lots of factors could cause you to O later in your cycle - stress, traveling, etc. With all that EWCM you are bound to O soon...keep BDing!

Sorry Magrat, the dreaded chemical pregnancy. I didn't realize how common it was until hearing all the stories on these boards. But I agree w/ the other ladies, please keep monitoring your temp and your symptoms. There's a whole thread in Pregnancy about a BFP after your period.
Ptcrn, I'm keeping all my crossables crossed for you girlie!
Cosmo, I'm agreeing w/ Catlover. You can get PG w/ a delayed O you just have to keep up the BDing until you're sure you've O'd and then maybe one more time just for good measure!
Sweetred, sorry about the ol' biotch. Good list though. I happen to be a Taurus baby and I also happened to be (and still am) quite a handful.;)
Abirney, screw the thermometer. Leave it at home and just BD everyday to cover your bases. Nothing like a little roll in the sleeping bag with crickets chirping all around you!

I put in a fake temp for tomorrow and noticed FF is saying I O'd on CD 14 which after looking at my chart is probably true from my temps. Now I am worried since we didn't BD before O, we BD'd on CD 14 & 15 plus we were going to BD tonight & tomorrow because I was trying to cover my bases for an O on CD 15 or CD16. Plus I really can't tell what my CM is like today, can't distinguish between sperm & CM, while at work. :o
Do you think I have a good chance of catching the egg without doing the BD on CD13?

I just got back from my endoscopy. I'm EXHAUSTED so I'll make this a quick post. The doctor said I have gastritis. He did see some spots in my stomach and took 2 small biopsies. I won't have the results until sometime late next week. He wants me to go to a follow-up appointment next month. So I'm guessing no TTC until at least that appointment. Oh well I want to be healthy before we have a baby on the way because I know morning sickness will just make this sooo much worse!

Delsol, I'm going to say that, based on the past day or 2 of CM and two of your past cycles O date of cd15/cd16, that yesterday or today will be your O date. I think you're in good shape. Try again tonight...just in case. Also, you'll notice your past EWCM usually either completely stops day after O or turns watery.

Thanks everyone for the wellcome to the thread.....of course I hope I am not here long :)
I had another high temp this morning and a BFN. I am hoping you guys are right about my O'ing on CD 20 or 21. I am not going to test until Monday to be sure.
Have a good weekend!!

Thanks, I'm sure it's over. I have full on AF with clots and everything. My temp may be a bit high because of my cold. I'm also sure it was a chemical pregnancy and not just a false positive because my longest ever LP is 12 days and this time it was 15. I'm okay about all this because I didn't have a very good feeling about the pregnancy from the beginning and because now I know we can get pregnant. It also gave me a reason to contact the best women's clinic *ever*. I spoke to a nurse from there yesterday about my BFP and she was so nice, telling me how to take care of my cold and everything. She gave me her number in case I needed anything and I called her today to tell her what happened and she was wonderful again. I told her I was okay and everything and not too disappointed and she said she wanted me to come in next week to get checked out anyway. I was really impressed by that because I think a lot of clinics would just brush off losing a four week pregnancy. I told her about my short luteal phase and spotting and she agreed it was a little short and that we could discuss it when I come in. So I have an appointment for Wednesday and I'm actually really looking forward to it. I'm excited to talk about my reproductive system with a professional and to see the clinic where I will someday go for all my prenatal appointments :)
Chris~n~Jen I think it's really good advice not to get too excited right away, because chemical pregnancies are extremely common. And I wouldn't recommend anyone testing until you're actually late, I didn't. I read a lot at www.twoweekwait.com and www.peeonastick.com when I got the faint positive because I was so skeptical, but I'm convinced it was a true positive, and I'm thinking yours was too. FRER are really sensitive, but if the line was pink, there had to be something in your urine to turn it that color. The $ store cheapies apparently sometimes show the dye when they shouldn't, but I've read that FRER are pristine white if it's a true negative.

Welcome kuklaki! I tend to agree with the others, I think you probably O'd on day 20 or 21. I don't know why Ovusoft isn't giving you a coverline though? It definitely doesn't look anovulatory though. Good luck!
DelSol, I think you still covered your bases well, even without BDing on CD 13. Fingers crossed that you caught the egg!
FSUSammy, sorry about the gastritis and needing to take a break. Like you said though, you want to be as healthy as possible. I'll be thinking good thoughts for your biopsy results!
Tealynn, LOL at this! Nothing like a little roll in the sleeping bag with crickets chirping all around you!
magrat, I'm sorry about the chemical pg. It's good that you are getting in for an appt though- and great that they were so nice. You're right, that is pretty rare!
Cosmogirl, I hope you caught the egg! Do you have your chart online? I've read many stories about people Oing later than usual and still getting a BFP. Just keep BDing as long as there is fertile CM!
Catlover- hope you caught your egg too! :)
Chris-n-Jen, thanks for posting your story. I agree that people do tend to get excited too quickly- I guess its just human nature. :rolleyes: That hasn't happened to me, but I'm sure I would react the same way.
numberlady, I think you could have O'd on day 14? Maybe you are just having a slow rise? I don't know how common that is, but either way I guess I would keep BDing until you know for sure! Good luck!
polkadot, I hope those FPS are real! Keeping all crossables crossed for you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks everyone for the responses and good wishes about my chart. As you can see, my temp dropped way below the coverline this AM. AF hasn't shown yet, but I know I'm out. I took the day off from work because I just didn't feel like going in and it feels really good to pamper myself! :)
I think I have decided to take a break from charting this next cycle. We have an RE appt on October 10th, so it seems like a good time to just see what happens for a month and lower my stress a little. I will probably keep checking CM, but not temp or do OPK's. I will try to still be around to encourage everyone else though, and depending on what happens with the RE, I'll probably start charting again next month. Threadmistress, can you move me to Taking a Charting Break? Thanks.
Chris~n~Jen I think it's really good advice not to get too excited right away, because chemical pregnancies are extremely common. And I wouldn't recommend anyone testing until you're actually late, I didn't. I read a lot at www.twoweekwait.com and www.peeonastick.com when I got the faint positive because I was so skeptical, but I'm convinced it was a true positive, and I'm thinking yours was too. The $ store cheapies apparently sometimes show the dye when they shouldn't, but I've read that FRER are pristine white if it's a true negative.
It's amazing how similar our stories are. My longest ever LP had been 12 (with my normal being 9-11), I got my bfp on 13dpo. AF showed at 16dpo. I keep telling myself that it was chemical also. :( Makes me feel better to think that I at least could get pregnant.
So I went back to find my origianal thread on this. I have to correct myself that it wasn't a FR that I was testing with but internet cheapies. I did go out and get 2 FR's + 1 CBE digital that all came back negitive. I guess the reason I was thinking about the FR is because after I posted that I got a negitive with a FR I had a lot of girls telling me they also had problems with FR. That's why it's in my head to never get FR tests. Anyway here (http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20268) is the thread if anyone is interested in seeing what some had to say about different brands.
Chris~n~Jen It's funny, but I got the exact opposite out of that thread than you did! They seem complaining that they were getting BFNs with FRER when they were really pregnant, but I think it would be worse to get a false BFP with an internet cheapie when you aren't actually pregnant. And what I said about the dye coming through I obviously stole from you when I read that thread yesterday! In any case, my BFP (or small skinny positive) was on FRER and I'm going to bring the test in to show the nurse on Wednesday and see what she says. When I spoke to her yesterday about how faint my positive was, she said it was nothing to worry about, but obviously it kind of was...we'll see what she says.
We'll see tomorrow I guess:p
Good luck with your appointment though!
tealynn: Thanks!
I sure hope we'll be able to catch that egg! I sure won't stop BDing until we are 100% sure I O'ed
Magrat: thanks for the links you posted, I'm having fun reading them.
Delsol:I agree with the pp about the CM comment. Usually after I O, the EWCM disapear real fast, although it comes back later...
I hope you caught it!
FSUSammyI hope everything will turn out fine for you, and that you can get back to buisiness ASAP.
Thanks Everyone! Right now I am saying no EWCM because I've gone to the bathroom a few times and nothing is there. I just hope we caught the egg. I'll tell DH we can BD one more night and that's it unless something changes in my temps or CM tomorrow. Originally it was going to be the next two nights.
Hey Ladies,
Any have time for a couple shout outs, so some of them will be general.
Marget Sorry to hear about the chemical pregnancy. Hang in there.
Welcome kuklaki. Your chart is looking great. My fingers are crossed for you.
Everyone else Sorry if AF found you. Good luck to anyone BDing or getting ready to test.
As for me I am 8 DPO. I have kind of felt kind crappy the last 2 days. On Tuesday I had some really painful cramps that lasted a couple of minutes. Ever since I have had some cramps off and on. My back and under my armpits have been sore since Wednesday. Don't know if those are signs or not, but I am not getting my hopes up. I just don't want to be disappointed. My gut is telling me that AF will show as scheduled and I will be scheduling an appointment to see an OBGYN to begin the fertility testing, since this cycle will marks 12 months of us TTC. :(
Jessied, those are sure signs of being PG, of course, they're sure signs of many other things but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's the first reason. I think the 12 month mark deserves a special recognition, like getting a BFP!
Have a good weekend everyone, I'm sure I'll probably stalk this weekend and if anything exciting comes up, I'll be here!
OK, so I'm posting for foxyboo. So she tested last night and then again today. The one she took last night she said was so faint, she didn't know if she was seeing things. Then this morning she tested and said the same thing. This is from the test she took about 20 minutes ago (she took the picture right after she toook it). What do you girls think??
Congrats foxyboo!!! I see the line...its faint but a line is a line...i am sure it will get darker in the next few days....
I had a little spotting last night after BDing...dont know if it was just from bding...if its possibly from implantation (fingers crossed) or af is soon to arrive...I hope its the 2nd one...I have been having more pinching cramps which I take as a good sign and my bb's are achey every once in a while so that **could** be good too I guess we will have to see...FF even gave me a possible implant message today I am trying to be very positive while not getting to excited if thats possible
One of my very good friends from school told me she was PG today and I was so happy...I am thinking that if there were not good things to come in my future then I would be more upset. But i truely am happy for her..I almost cried with joy when she told me...She has been trying for about 6 months and she has PCOS so she has been on Clomid too...so hopefully we get a chance to be PG together...again FINGERS CROSSED!!
FSUSam0 wishing you a speedy recovery from your endoscopy.
jessied hope you feel better soon.
polkadot Lets hope that was implant spotting!
Well I'm still not sure if I will temp or not on our camping trip. I'm not sure how accurate it will be because I think it's going to be on the chilly side while we are gone. So I may just take tealynn's advice and just leave it home! (If we get to go camping at all... as of 3 hrs ago SIL is still not having any signs of going into labor. We were hoping to leave on vacay Sunday.)
Well ladies...I still haven't called it out yet because DH won't until I'm at least 7 days late. Technically...I'm about 5-6 days late. I've become a $ Tree test-a-holic. I've taken 5 tests and they all have an extremely faint line. As soon as CVS opens at 8, I'm going to get a digital test. That way I can feel secure. Well, I have to go brush my teeth and get ready to go. I'll let you know what happens!! (Everyone else says that it's a positive...even my SIL who is 26 weeks said that they could barely see her line and she only took 1 test.)
P.S. Thanks for the early congrats!! :)
Congrats Foxyboo (but I haven't graduated you yet).
Foxyboo - It looks like a line to me, and when I was pg, it never got really dark. I hope the CVS test looks good too! Congrats!
Cosmogirl - Hope you catch that eggie
polkadot - I hope those are all good signs.
DelSol - I'd say you definately have a chance, especially since you had all that ewcm on cd 14. That should have helped those spermies catch the egg even if you bd'd after O.
kuklaki - Sore bb's is definately a good sign, especially if you don't usually have them.
ptcrn - Sorry AF found you, but at least you will have a plan soon.
FSUSammy - I'm glad your procedure went well. Go Noles!
Magrat - Sorry about the chemical pg.
As for me, my temp continues to rise slowly. When I put in fake temps for Sunday & Monday, FF is giving me crosshairs at CD 15 using both advanced and FAM detection methods. I guess I am ok with that, because I was thinking it happened on cd 14 due to the dip, ewcm & O pains. So I am going to call it and say that I think I O'd and am testing the week of 9/18-9/24.
Hi all!
I've been reading along, but I think I am way too behind for SO's - please forgive me!
Cosmo - you're right above me - good luck catching that egg - hope this is the month for you!
As for me, in the boring part - AKA, waiting to O. Last month was the first time I was really paying attention during this part of the phase, and I was on vacation, so not much to think about. I was so busy when I got back to work, there was no time to even think of anything until I was in the 2WW.
Now - for the first time, I'm taking every temp and just trying to get through the early part of the cycle - and warning DH to store up his energy :) I really hope this is our month - I've said for a long time (well, as long as I've known how to calculate it ;)) that I would love to get PG in Sept and have a June baby - just think that would be perfect. (of course, that just has to do with avoiding being hugely PG in July or August, but still) - hoping this is our month.
I have a dr's appt on the 14th to talk about the spotting I had last cycle (going to ask about progesterone levels and perhaps NPC) - which works out perfectly b/c I should (fingers crossed) ovulate shortly after that.
That's about it here. Had a strange dream last night that I was PG w/twins and I could feel a baby moving (in my dream) - now, we know that's not possible b/c I haven't even ovulated yet! I think it's from talking to my friend that is PG with twins about feeling a baby move.
well - that turned long - have a good weekend all! I'll be around - working today and/or tomorrow. May head to a college football game (Temple v. Louisville) or try to do some shopping.
Have a great weekend!
EWCM question ladies
How fast does it dissapear after you O'ed?
Congratulations,foxyboo! :D
I'm sorry, magrat. :(
Cosmogirl EWCM seems to go away pretty quickly for me as in the day after O (although its disappearance is probably one reason O is called for the day before).
* * *
Well, I'm the same as Robyn, just hanging out in the boring part of the cycle and also so hopeful that this is our month. One more week (maybe less) until there's potential for the BD fest to get started. I think this cycle I'm going to check CP, etc. I've never officially charted it before, but last cycle I really noticed a difference in the height and firmness around O compared to other times and I just thought it was so interesting. Anyways, AF is officially gone and I've started my grapefruit juice regimine. Can't hurt, right? Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Congrats, foxyboo! Happy and Healthy 9 months to you!! I hope some of us can join you...will you be in the may or June thread? Make sure to update us with your EDD!
Never though I would say this, but YAY, it's CD 1!!! Because of the lap, I knew there was absolutely no chance for last cycle, so I was hoping this one would be short and we could get on with it. My cycle was only 24 days long! I must have O'd before the lap, which was on CD 16. So, threadmistress, please move me to "waiting to O". I will be charting religiously this cycle. I plan to go find my thermometer right now, as it is somewhere behind the head of my bed.
jess71903 ~ glad to hear you're feeling back to normal. Sorry about AF but now you can move onto better things.
polkadot ~ fingers crossed for you, your chart is looking good.
cosmogirl ~ yea for O'ing. EWCM goes away pretty quickly after O.
numberlady ~ thanks. I had a ton of EWCM on CD14 and O occurred on CD14 according to FF. Looks like we are cycle buddies.
Robyn ~ I always thought having a June baby would be cool. I know 3 Gemini's, all have a special place in my heart.
foxyboo751 ~ Congratulations! Happy & Health 9 Months!
SQ2 ~ I noticed a difference with my CP from Wednesday to last night. I can tell Wednesday was a fertile day just by how my CP felt during BDing.
Me ~ CD17 3DPO. Well it looks like my O occurred on CD 14, so I'm hoping we caught the egg. We BD'd on CD14 - CD16, not the best timing but my normal O's have been CD 15 & CD 16 so CD14 was early for me. What can I do? I honestly didn't think I was going to do any BDing last night anyway because I got home from work and DH said his tummy was bothering him all day so I thought for sure we wouldn't be BDing but he surprised me and well I didn't go to your mom's but I know we have to try for a baby tonight. Then he added how he took at nap so he'd be ready for BD and he had a dream we were DTD and he as giving it to me anally. He know I don't go for that so I said well you know you were dream then because it's never gonna happen and that's not how babies are made! I told him we didn't have BD tonight so I think he was happy with that, we were both beat last night, but then he adds ohh we can do it anally so I laughed and said didn't I tell you last night that's not how babies are made we are not doing that! What a goober! :rolleyes:
Threadmistress ~ please move me to "I Think I O'd" testing 9/20.
I noticed a difference with my CP from Wednesday to last night. I can tell Wednesday was a fertile day just by how my CP felt during BDing. Hehe. I wasn't going to mention this because I though, eh, TMI. But who am I kidding. Nothing is TMI for this thread. I experienced the same thing yesterday during BD. It was actually a bit uncomfortable, like there was just not enough room, if you know what I mean. ;) It's just so damn cool to me how our bodies prepare us each month to get pregnant, but making things as physically ideal as possible for those little swimmers to get up there. :D
ETA ~ I know I said AF was gone but looks like I'm still spotting. I've noticed with each progressive cycle off the pill, still have the same number of AF days (3) but my spotting days are increasing. I'm not spotting all the time just a few times thorughout the day. Interesting.
CD25 for me and I'm just waiting to see if AF is gonna show. She usually arrives on day 24 or 25. I had a few sharp cramps earlier today and thought for sure that she was here, but then the cramps went away and no AF. I did wake up this morning feeling sick. My nose is really runny and I think I must have slept with my mouth open because of the congestion and my throat is killing me. I just feel like I have a bad cold. I hope it goes away soon. :(
