Does anyone else's dogs go CRAZY after they have been bathed? Mine run in circles, go into a frenzy, jump on each other, and race around the house. Every time!
Is this because they feel good after they've been bathed?

OMG my dog does this too. I need to video it. It's crazy. He runs laps around the furniture and then rubs his face on the ground/sofa. He does it for a good 5 minutes after he gets out of the bath.
Mine does too, and he also throws himself on the floor. I always thought he was trying to get dirty again.
My furbabies do it, too! They will run around the house for at least 10 minutes.
Only one of my dogs does that, but I always thought it was because he was mad that he had to take a bath. :)
My dog does this too! Lol. It is so funny. She runs in circles or runs laps around the house. Hehehe
My two dogs also do this. They run around and shake, throw themselves on the floor, and generally try to rub their heads on anything soft. I think they're simply trying to dry themselves off. They especially hate having wet ears!

And here I thought my dog was just exceptionally amusing. ;) My dog goes NUTS after he gets out of the shower. Running in circles, diving under the bed ... it never fails to crack me up!

Mine do this too! I think it's because they're wet. They also act like this if they've gone outside in the rain. Silly animals! :D

Mine does it too, and what makes it so funny is that while she's actually IN the bathtub she just stands totally still and looks heartbreakingly pathetic.

Mine does that too. I'm guessing that it is partly to dry himself off and partly to warm himself up (in the summer we wash him outside).

We used to blow-dry my poodle growing up by locking her in the master bathroom and as she would race by we would blow-dry her. She would run around like a total nut! After her blow-dry she would go run around and rub her face in the bed linens.
We normally don't blow-dry our dog now (unless it is winter) after his baths, but we have him stay in his kennel until he is semi-dry and he *hates* it. I think he wants to run around crazy like everyone else's dogs. :p
I think they race around and rub on things because they want to get stinky again. :)

My dog does this too! It's hilarious! We have learned to let her run around right after cause it pretty much dries her hair then we only have to blow dry it a lil bit. I think she does it to get the scent off so she can be dirty again.

Usually we take Ivan to the groomer's, but the other day he decided to roll in a pile of dead worms. http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
So he got a late night bath, and at 10 p.m. was running around like a LUNATIC! It was funny, because he is usually fast asleep by 9 p.m. most nights, and he ran around the house acting dorky and energetic until about 11:30. Silly dog. :)

leo does the same thing! Our dog growing up did, too. It's so funny. He starts getting really anxious about when I'm done blow drying him, like he knows he's almost out. Then, he runs around jumps on the furniture and the bed and rolls around.

So does mine. She just stands there and shakes, so her craziness is probably because she's so happy to be out of the torture chamber. ;) She also bites and snaps at the towel as we're drying her off. :D

My labs LOVE their baths. In fact, if we say the word "bath" they go and jump into the tub. Once they're out, they go crazy just like everyone has described - biting the towel, jumping on furniture, wrestling with each other, running laps, etc.

Our dog just shakes it off as much as possible, then goes and lies down. She's actually pretty calm about it.
My ILs' schnauzer and Yorkie, on the other hand, go nuts. The schnauzer runs around the couch like his tail is on fire and rubs his body into the carpet. The Yorkie does the same, but more running and less rubbing. You'd think they'd never been wet a day in their lives. :)
Once the Yorkie peed on DH once he was done bathing him. On the carpet, too.
