Has anyone heard about the interview on Hot97 with Karinne "Superhead" Steffans, who just came out with a tell all book about who she's slept with in the entertainment industry? This has been the subject of much discussions around here (DC area) on radio stations and offices.
I have not heard the actual interview myself (company wont allow it), but I understand that it is quite detailed as the topic is the celebrities she's slept with, so please make sure you use your personal judgement and caution if you choose to listen to the interview. I was told the jist of the interview by friends and heard about it on the radio as well, and was wondering what other people thought.
Apparently she says that she wrote the book as a lesson to young girls, but I personally think she is just trying to get as much money and publicity as possible. It seems that she upsetting a lot of the entertainers she's supposedly selpt with, as this kind of thing is supposed to be hush-hush.

That book sounds somewhat similar to the one Roxanne Pulitzer wrote years ago about what a den of iniquity Hollywood was, but I do not believe Ms. Pulitzer named names.
I have no interest in who famous is sleeping with who.

I guess I knew that kind of stuff goes on (Heidi Fleiss did that too I think), but I just wonder what kind what was going through her head to want to sleep (using the term loosly) w/so many people. What was going through their head, especially since they must have known that she was with so many others. Vin Diesel, Sean Puffy Combs, Ja Rule, Bobby Brown, DMX, Jay-Z, Shaq, Ice-T and a whole bunch more. It is almost like that is what she does for a living. I mean Shaq supposedly gave her $10,000 for her services.
And she is now dating Bill Maher! What does he see in her?

I listened to her on the DC station and then this recording. I absolutely plan to get the book and read it. For me, I have no problem with her writing this tell-all book. It is about her and the life she lived. So what she named names - why should she keep them quiet? If they did the deed, own up to it. That's the problem with folks today, they want everything to be on the DL and end up hurting far more people cause things were 'hush-hush'.

If he wanted to dispose of some of his income that way? Hey, it's his lookout.
I remember the big hubbub that The Happy Hooker made in 1971 -- the author of the book said her brothel had tons of famous people as clients but she chose not to identify anybody by name.

I live in the NY Metro Area and heard the interview. I have mixed feelings about her, on the one hand, it was the life she led and she can write such a book to "enlighten" people, but on the other hand she's been caught in a couple of lies and that just makes me wonder how "true" her stories are.
Kool G Rap and his wife were smart to record all of their conversations with her.
As for the entertainers she's named, I blame them for getting with her. They are the married ones who should have used better discretion. No sympathy for them.

I looked at it differently. To me, Kool G and his wife came across as complete azzes. They tried to show out and from what I heard, THEY came across as the liars.
For example, THEY were the ones who called out Method saying him and his wife kept her daughter. Meth said he never met her and stop putting his name out there. They tried to back track saying she said it. Not once did Karrine mention his name. (I listened to it 2x)
Kool G's wife tried to tell more stories of her exploits. She already said that there were worse things that she did that she didn't put in the book. Why did his wife feel the need to go further into a story (and name names!) about one of her incidents? That was a really tacky.
Kool G tried mentioned her putting the son in front of his car. She admitted that and said she wrote about it in her book. He then called her a liar.
Whatever. Kool G and his wife have some serious issues.

A few years ago, there were a series of books called "You will never sleep in this town again!" and it was written by different women who had slept with a number of celebrities. Some were prostitutes, some were actresses and some where daughters of celebrities. I hate to admit it, but I read them. Such a guilty pleasure....

But there is no daughter, that's the point Kool G and his wife were trying to make, that she's a compulsive liar.

I heard her say "I have a son, I have a son" everytime directly asked if she had a daughter. It's Kool G and his wife (more-so his wife) who insisted that she had a daughter named Imani or something like that??? This lead me to believe that she didn't confirm or deny that she had a daughter, she just confirmed that she had a son.

I heard the interview and, even though I don't buy a lot of the stuff she said, I'll probably get the book because it sounds like a fun read by the pool. Too bad it's been sold out at all the book stores near me since the interview. Hopefully she had a good editor to clean up the mess she wrote, because I would like to get through it.
