I'm posting this in CC because it gets more traffic. I know some of you ladies are super sleuths and great at remembering news stories.

Do you recall a story about a girl who was sexually assaulted by a man claiming to be a police officer? I *believe* it was along the lines of: she was an employee at a Pizza Hut (or some such), and a "police officer" entered and accused her of drug possession. He took her into a back office and strip searched her. The man was posing as a police officer, and there was a secrurity video of the assault. I remember it being all over the news a couple of months ago, but I can't seem to find the story again.

Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? If you find it, can you please link it? Thanks!

Isn't it totally frustrating when you vaguely remember reading something, but can't remember where and can't find it again?! I hate that. :(

Do you happen to remember where this happened?

If you are able to find a link, post it to satisfy my curiosity! ;) :)

Now this was some weird googling. ;)

I remember a story from a while ago about a guy calling claiming to be a cop and getting McDonald's managers to strip search employees. This is what I found.

lawyerlee - It is frustrating. :(

I think it happened in the Detroit area, because I remembered hearing about it on the news. But I guess it could have been the national news...ugh. I could have sworn that I read about it here on CC first, which is what's driving me crazy. I can't find the thread anywhere. :(

ThreeYell - Thanks for the link! It's not the story I'm looking for - this would have definitely been 2006 - but it's along the same lines. I didn't realize this sort of thing was so common.

I do remember the story, but very few details, so I'm no real help. But I know I heard about it on the national news, so I'm not sure where in the country it happened. Sorry.

Well, at least I have confirmation that it exists...somewhere. :p
