To join the league, do the following:

Go to http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/

One you're logged into yahoo, elect the "join a league" under the "Football '06" heading (not the football PLUS 06)

Then click - Join Custom, and enter the following information

Question...we did a live online draft last year and it was so fun! I noticed that this league says automatic draft...does that mean we don't all get online at the same time to pick players?

I can change that at any point. If we all want to meet online and do a live draft, that's perfectly okay with me!! We'll just go with what the majority wants. :D

I vote for a live draft too. Last year, our league just picked a time that was convienent for most everyone. For the couple of ladies who couldn't be online, they just preset their players. Nights and weekends are good with me...although I would prefer weekend. Maybe Sunday afternoon???

I'll see if I can find an online source to randomly assign people a draft order, instead of those signing up last getting a better draft position ;) Or i'll just have the hubby draw out of a cap, if you all trust me. :p

I just found a random draft order generator online, and filled it out with all the email addresses that weren't hidded in the yahoo league, and made up others for those of you who didn't have them listed. That way at least most of us received the verification email showing this order.

Okay, now that we have a full roster (THANKS BERT!!!), we need to set a draft time. My first inclination is to wait until after this weekend, so all the preseason games are finished, and we know who's hurt and who isn't. I'd hate to have our draft before that, and have someone lose um... Peyton Manning to a broken leg. Ya know?

How about we do it either late Monday the 4th (since people should be back from vacation), or another evening next week?

But if this week/weekend works better for most, then that's what we'll do. Keep in mind that even if you can't be present for the live draft, you can preset your rankings and the autopicker will draft for you.

So let's hear your preferences!!! :D

Niner fan by default here. Even though I grew up in the east bay (contra costa county), I was raised a niner fan. However, the Seahawks have been my favorite team for at least 10 years!

Crap - bad news everyone!!! :( I just checked yahoo, and they don't have that time slot available. Actually, the only times they have open are in the early morning hours, like 6am - noon.

So, suggestions are needed. There is a 6am slot available on Monday. Painful for us west coasters, but pretty much the only chance we have to do a live draft via yahoo.

Otherwise, our other options are to find a chat room and do it that way (but EVERYONE would have to be present) or to just fill out the autopick functions, and have yahoo draft it for us.

Please let me know ASAP!!! I'll also send this as an email from the league...

If you can make the live draft at 6:45am PST on Monday, great!! Otherwise, please have your autodraft lineup set before the deadline and yahoo will draft for you.
