I love how we're silhouetted against the door of the church, how gorgeous my veil looks, how adoringly he's looking at me. (I also love the shading around the waist, isn't that a cool illusion? :) )

To be perfectly honest...this is what I remember MOST about my big day. It's the first thing I saw as I turned to square off at the end of the aisle: my DH pointing at me saying, "there's my girl!" which is what he always says when I "Wow" him with my appearance. I was panicked all day long, but when I turned the corner and watched him mouth out those words, everything was ok again.:)

I like how we're looking at each other and have forgotten other people are around. This was actually right by the hotel swimming pool, and children and adults were swimming and sitting aorund. We forgot all about them. And it's also funny because for weeks before, I wanted to get photos of me standing on the rim of this big, beautiful fountain. The best one of the whole series was him helping me back down--he was so afraid I'd fall. LOL

In the actual picture, the white altar isn't so faded away. Instead it is kind of 'hazy' looking, which I think is so beautiful. I love the way I am looking at DH. Considering the fact that my photog took this from the very back of the church (he wasn't allowed near the altar) I am ~that~ much more impressed!!

There are so many that I love, but this has to be my favorite. This is right after I got dressed, and the first moment that my dad saw me, even before I got makeup on! :eek: My dad turned 88 shortly after the wedding, and he doesn't genuinely smile alot for the camera, so seeing a true smile on film was so great!

I have many favorites as well, but this one is special because the lighting seemed so perfect. Ironically, this was taken by my brother, not our professional photographers (they were busy getting a light "shield" from their car to soften the glare of the sun for subsequent shots).

I love how it's brightest in the center where we're sitting. It's a bench by the waterfall of my ILs' koi pond in their back yard. DH's dad started building his koi pond when DH was in high school (this is DH's childhood home, they moved in while his mom was pregnant!) and it meant a lot to all of us, but particularly his dad, that we got married at their home. Although, ironically, you can't see the koi ponds and all the 15+ beautiful koi he has, or the waterfall at all since they're in the dark parts (waterfall to the left, 2 ponds directly in front of us, bifurcated by a wooden drawbridge).

My mom and I hunted out photo spots a few months before the wedding. We were driving down this dirt road on the way to the reception hall and came across this huge pile of rocks in the middle of a corn field. To remember where it was we made a note of "1/2 mile past the corner take a right at the no tresspassing sign" :p Shhhh don't tell.

We went to Alcatraz in San Francisco after our wedding and this was one of the last photos, after walking through the rain and wind. What a wonderful day and I love this photo - it reminds me of old Europe, not a prison! :cool:

If I have to choose one, it's this. It's about the last picture taken before the photogs left (we weren't doing a big exit so they didn't stick around to the end), it had been a hot and sultry day and we felt sultry by this point, the photog took us into a field, and it was romantic. Everyone says "get a room" when they see it...well, we did, and 40 weeks later we had a baby. ;)

This was tough. We had a few "pretty" pictures, but I think this captures "us" best. Benny's stepdad in his speech said something about how he knew I was the girl for benny the first time he saw me eat and drink (I enjoy food and wine, what can I say?). This is my favorite. During our first dance, the music cut out. It was a song to which we knew the words, so we kept singing it and dancing. It was a bit intense, and everyone was very quiet so they could here us singing. This photo was taken when the music came back on, but instead of being the gentle love song we had picked it came in with "it's a beautiful day" by U2. Everyone started laughing and moving again and we couldn't stop laughing. What could have been the biggest glitch in our day ended up being the cause for the most romantic and then the funniest thing that happened. Good memory.

We had no idea that our photographer had even take this picture. We were standing outside waiting to do the pictures and it was really windy. A big gust of wind came up and blew my veil in front of our faces. At first this wasn't my favorite picture, but when I went to order our pictures the photographer had it blown up to 16x24 and had submitted it in a contest. He won first place for it. That changed my mind right away!
