View Full Version : iTunes questions
Okay, I got a new computer a few months ago, and DH loaded iTunes onto it. When I hook up my iPod to charge, it automatically updates the song list. It keeps telling me that it couldn't update certain songs bc I am not authorized to play them on my pc. Then, I went to download the new iTunes, and it won't recognize my account.
I have been too lazy to do anything about this, but now that I want to, I am not sure what to do. I have my old laptop, and I am going to boot it up today to see if I can get my account info out of it. I guess I can call Apple, but I thought that I would check here first.
Anyone know what is wrong with it?

Hi Kyrsten. I have had sporadic trouble with my iTunes as well. I got some help at the mac help site. (http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/) You may have to be pretty computer savvy to follow their help, which consists sometimes of adjusting the settings on your computer.
If you call them, they might not help you if it's only an iTunes issue and not trouble with your iPod. They told me there is no technical help for iTunes, just iPods. This really pissed me off, as I'm paying $$ for iTunes and expect it to work!
There's also this Mac thread (http://www.constantchatter.com/showthread.php?t=19004) that could help.
Good luck!

Typically how long does it take for iTunes to get new music? I've been waiting for the new Justin Timberlake song (SexyBack) and its still not available. Its been on myspace and the radio for a few weeks now.

Has his cd actually been released in the stores yet? Usually the songs are not ready to be purchased until the CD is released. Hope this helps.

Justin returns with his brand new album, FutureSex/LoveSounds on September 12, 2006 featuring his first single, "SexyBack." Request "SexyBack" on your local radio station now. FutureSex/LoveSounds includes production by Timbaland, JAWBreakers, Rick Rubin, and Justin himself. Stay tuned for more details on the new album and look for a brand new JustinTimberlake.com coming soon!
Does that mean it won't be available til the 12th on itunes?
probably, but keep looking since sometimes you can get the single once that's released (depending on the deal they make with iTunes)

We have an iTunes/iPod at home. So far I've burned 2 CDs. The first CD turned out just fine, the second CD I just burned last week and when I play it in my car it sounds off. My car settings have not changed. All the music sounds flat. This particular CD has tons of different types of music from pop to hip-hop.
I noticed on the iTunes page there is an equalizer but it appears you can only adjust the equalizer once and it will affect all your music. Is there any way to individually set the equalizer for each song so when it burns it sounds normal?
