I received th is email from a friend of mine. Since he is going to the press with this I thought I'd leave his name and contact info.

I found this very interesting and disturbing...thought I'd share...
It's about what's going on in Israel daily...

*******************
Hi All,

Here's a 7 minute video I filmed the day I arrived in Israel - actually within about an hour of my arrival. The events in the video follow on the heels of a news report that a suicide bomber was apprehended by Israeli police while en-route to his target in Tel Aviv.

Enjoy, and please pass along the URL if you feel it worthwhile.

CONTENT WARNING:
Since this is going out to rabbis, friends, family, co-workers, network/media people and more:

Please note there is some objectionable language. In the interest of keeping the authenticity of the event, I chose to leave it in.

Thanks,
Howard

Israelis are conditioned to be suspicious of any unattended bags/packages so these types of reports are common. On a related note, someone should do a video of the doormen at restaurants, hotels, malls and other popular public places. These men are the unsung heroes in Israel, for they make lousy money, but will be the first people blown up by a suicide bomber trying to force his way into such places. The last time I was in Israel in 2003, a Tel Aviv nightspot called "Mike's Place" was hit by a suicide bomber. The doorman and a few people near the entrance were killed, but if the bomber made his way into the place, scores would have died. The doorman sacrificed his life that night and in the process saved so many more lives. God bless him.

Great video, IrisHope.

this will tell you something. to get into israeli religious sites, guards check bags to make sure no one is bringing in any weapons or bombs. to get into islamic religious sites, they are checking to make sure you are not bringing any non islamic religious materials like bibles and crosses.

i was watching this interview on pbs last night. it was talking about the demise of the islamic religion. originally, it was the most tolerant of all religions during the middle ages and it was really advanced. then after wwI, they started reverting backwards and became intolerant and fundamentalist. the person being interviewed also said that radical muslims invented the idea of suicide bombing. is that true? i thought it has been an idea of the japanese for a longer than the muslims have been using it.
