Isobel: Congrats on your girls!! I can't see your pictures.

QOTD: Little Lee's hanging out pretty low.

usafwife: Um, yeah, I'm getting kicks "down there", too. It feels almost like a tickle.:o

Is anyone having Braxton Hicks contractions? For a couple of weeks now my tummy will tightened up for a couple of seconds then release, sometimes 2-3times a day. I didn't really know what it was. Then today it struck me that what I'm feeling could be BH. I've read they're nothing to worry about, but I'll still mention it to my OB at my next appt.

elenna: When I was pg w/ Landon, I was experiencing the same exact thing right about 20 weeks, I had no idea what it was and was SURE something was wrong. When I went in for my BIG u/s, one of the first things the tech. said was " oh, do you feel that tightening? You're having a BH." She told me it was compeltely normal, I really started to notice them after she identified them for me. I had them from then on out, sometimes more than others. I think I've felt a couple just this past week, w/ this one.

21 weeks today

Oh, I am so glad you mentioned the BH Elenna and Rancherswife! I started having some today and I was wondering if anyone else had them. Glad to know they are normal, but I will ask next week just to make sure.

Janey Great nutrition tips! I will put some of them to use- thank you for sharing.

Babae Congrats on the BOY!

fsb and isobel Congrats on your girls!!!

usawife I am hoping your BP stays down!

showers Several people have asked to throw me one (I am blessed with such great friends!) but I just don't feel right having a shower so I'm not. We will hopefully have a "welcome baby" party next summer- more like a big BBQ. I also would not want anyone to feel like they needed to buy us anything! We have the Baby Bargains book and DH signed up for Consumer Reports online so in a month or two we will get shopping. I know I am different than most!

Big U/S update It's still a boy :) The 13 week u/s findings were correct- Valentine was showing the goods the second the transducer hit my stomach! He looks great, but I was disappointed he had his hands in front of his face (sucking his left thumb as always- I think we have a southpaw:). I just wanted to get a good look at his little face! Anyway, the MD said he is measuring right on target and everything is normal so that's a relief.

Awe Carrie… That’s great to hear everything looks great… I hear ya on the profile pic’s, I totally think she has my nose which is a good thing.. LOL… I have a cute round nose, Eric’s is a little long… You can just see a shadow, but it’s looks like a mommy’s nose girl.. LOL…

Usafwife.. It’s actually kinda funny, I had been looking at invites for sooooooo long, couldn’t find anything I really liked, well I was at Target’s one day and found this kit, it had a B & W picture of a baby with a Daisy… I thought it was perfect… well I get it home telling everyone about it… go and open it and THERE’S NO PICTURE.. It was just to show you what they COULD look like.. UGH… So I just went searching on the net for baby pic’s with flowers. I came across this one and got 45 copies of it FREE thru Snapfish/Shutterfly/Flickr… all those companys so That was easy.. Kit was $20. and then the Vellum 7.99 and the Ribbon 1.00.. So for under $30, I made these really great invites. Those one’s I was looks at were $90 plus shipping and I think these look sooooooo much better. But Thank you for the compliments… I’m so glad they turned out good.

QOTD - Where does your baby hang out in your tummy? ~ Low I think, I haven’t felt her yet. But I think she’s making her way to my ribs. I have see a “little foot?” in the middle sticking out a bit.

Rings.. I usually take mine of at night. My MIL was telling me that she had to have her’s cut off by the Fire Department, because she couldn’t get them off… and has NEVER gotten them replaced.. I don’t want that to happen with mine. I think once I “can’t” wear them I will go and get a chain and wear them around my neck. Still close to my heart.

Isobel ~ And the Girls are making a comeback… lol… I’m sad though, I can’t see the pictures… UGH…

Jenah… Stalking? Don’t be silly, you are still part of our “family”……

La bride 2004, Why do you feel weird about havign a shower... Just wondering...

That's great you got to see Valentine... and the measurements are good.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have an appt. tomorrow with my OB and then another US.. She wasn't cooperating last time so they have to get pictures of the heart... Yeah more pictures for Mommy to scrap.. I love looking at her. I just am so anxcious to feel her kicking me.. I keep thinking of the moving look who's talking, when Mikey is a baby... Molly looks at him after giving birth, so your the one who's been kicking me, well your the one who ate all that spicy food.. LOL I just looooooooove it. My mom is coming into town tonight and staying with us until Saturday. I miss her. She seems so far away, (only 1.5 hours) but still I'm so use to her just being there... Eric seems to have gotten the FLU.. he's really sick and has been out of work for 3 days... I hope he gets better soon.. I hate when he's sick... :( other then that.. not to much goign on... I'm having a Fat day today.. lol... I just feel fat, not pregnant.. LOL... Maybe it's what I'm wearing. lol.. Ps I will try to get on here tomorrow if not by Sunday... Well see how things go.
Have a great Thursday,
Jen
Congrats to all those who found recently if they are Team Blue or Pink! I wonder if a bunch of the surprise babies will be girls???
BH - So far haven't had any. Then again, I never really noticed them until I was about 36 weeks last time and the doctor had to tell me I was having one as he was measuring me when I was there for a doctor's appointment. Then I started to notice them more and more.
Baby hanging out - Still really, really low. I think I can feel the top of my uterus right at my belly button now.
Rings - Wedding ring and watch is starting to get a little tight, so I think I'm starting to retain a little water. I asked my doctor last time if I would have to take my ring off during labor and he told me no, that they didn't cut off rings anymore. After about 30 weeks, I could no longer take them off and wasn't able to get them off again until I was probably 6 weeks pp. I think they finally started to fit normal again at around 3-4 months pp.
Have a doctor's appointment this afternoon and then I'm taking tomorrow off from work to spend with my son who will be ONE tomorrow!! So hard to believe that one year ago tonight, my water broke and I was going to have a baby and now here I 'm halfway to having another one! :)
Hi All! Sorry - this got really long!!!
Janey: what a nice thing to say! I agree about being good friends if we were on the same coast. The whole body changing – the no control thing is quite unnerving to say the least. Glad to hear the nutritionist appointment went well. Those are great tips – and I love Trader Joe’s. I *really* think you look great and as long as you’re feeling well, that’s what counts the most.
Rancherswife: I’m not feeling kicks every day either. I feel a little something – almost like a little ghost in my stomach - which I am assuming is movement. It’s definitely not me! Hee hee.
Isobel: Sounds like you had a great vacation. That is so cool about the babies’ movement! Congratulations on your girls! Since they’re both girls they might be identical which is really cool to me. I do hope the measurements improve to put your mind at ease.
Jenahdawn, your attitude is inspiring. It’s amazing what impact we all have on eachother – even in limited doses. I was so upset for your family I told my H and my mom. They are both keeping you and your family in their thoughts and prayers.
Hey, I don't say things looking for sympathy, I say them because I mean it! (I just hope none of you think I'm odd for "stalking" you.) Not in the slightest!
Elenna: Sounds like you had a busy weekend! I wouldn’t have wanted to have shopped either. And the kicks (although annoying) sound so cute.
Bombera: Sorry for bringing up the 2nd/junior topic… I feel your pain because my H is a bit disappointed. I just have my own strong opinions (plus my newphew already has the name and I would rather not have 2 since they will see eachother often)!
PrincessCJ: A new house! How exciting! You'll have to post pictures if you end up buying it.
as I have learned, my plans and God's plans for me are often different, so we shall see what happens!!! so true! So true!
Aug2002Bride, JenJen, Mrs Ski, Usafwife and rancherswife : thanks for your thoughts on the necessary baby items. It’s always good to hear more perspectives.
E’s princess: congratulations on getting your shower invites done! That is so cool. I am no where near that stage and am in awe. And I have not been as diligent with the belly shots. I think I’ve taken 4 at different times… I need to get around to posting them.
FSB: congratulations on your girl! Yay team pink! Awww.
DPAngel: really cool about the outside kick!
EJ’s: welcome!
Stars: what wonderful news! I can’t wait to congratulate you on 100% good news! What a relief.
Boilermaker: I have soooooo much to catch up on!!! And of course about 2 min to post in here. Work has been crazy beyond crazy and it won't get much better until February. Ditto. I’m in the same boat! Glad your u/s went well. :)
Babae: congratulations on your boy! What is the tally now? (Needs to check…)
Usafwife: drats - I hope it’s not your bp.
LABride: great news! And southpaws are great. A few members of my family are lefties, including my little niece. It is so cute to see her draw.
Registry: Haven’t started it yet. I feel somewhat behind, but I’m not going to let it stress me out. It can take a number and get in line with all the other things on my plate.
Shower? Have no idea. Hope my sisters/mother/cousins even remember to throw me one? Ha ha. I’m generally the planner and organizer, so this should be interesting. And I only had one bridal shower that friends/family/in-laws attended, so I don’t have much advice about getting them to separate, although it could alleviate a bunch of stress.
As for me, oh dear. I tried shopping for maternity clothes this weekend and almost had a breakdown. I must preface this by saying I *hate* shopping for the most part. I always have ideas in my head about what I want and can never find it. Then I find something ‘passable’ that’s ridiculously priced and I get frustrated. Aren’t girls supposed to like this stuff? I used to when I was younger and had more time. Thankfully I came away with a few things. Still haven't worn any of them yet. I look much more pregnant in my maternity clothes than in my regular clothes. No one at work (save the people I've told) have commented and I'm getting a kick out of how long I can outlast them. Ha ha. It won't last much longer though.
Work is still killing me, but I'm uber-annoyed with them right now, so I am taking a 'clear my head' message board break.
Hi ladies-
Had a dr. appt yesterday. All is well. I'm back to the weight I started at, BP is good and got to hear the child's HB. Next OB appt is 11/1 After the next OB appt, I can schedule another u/s for two weeks after. DS wouldn't be still and they couldn't get clear pictures of the 4-chamber heart. Same thing happened when pg with DD
This child is definitely sitting low. My maternity jeans that I love, I can hardly stand because they are low rise with the wide cotton band. When sitting, they push on the child and it makes my whole body ache. I think I'm destined for under-the-bb pants this time. UGH!!
Rings - With DD, I took them off when it got to be a bit of a struggle to remove them. It was late in my pg tho. I kept them in a ring box hoping that DH would add to the set as a 'Thanks for carrying my child and pushing her out' gift. And he did!!! He gave me a matching diamond band to put on the other side of my engagement ring, so it looks like I have a guard of diamonds around my three-stone ring. It's three separate bands and none of them are sautered together. I like the flexibility of wearing them however I want. For this pg, I'm hoping to have him replace the medium-quality tanzanite with a high quality tanzanite. Then I can get the one I currently have set in a pendant for DD's 16th birthday. Long way off, but the sentiment is there.
Happy Birthday to JenJen's little one!!!
I can't get my rings on yet. (I'm in jeans for 4 days now and back to my pre pg weight, which stuns me seeing my 18 weeks shot)
For those of you who are having BH and haven't been through it before, trust me, it's different. It took me until about the 4th BH to realize it was BH. But I knew the real contractions right away. (And they don't "feel just like cramps" and, if they offer you narcotics to take the edge off, just kick someone, they just make you sick or out of it)
I'm so excited about everyone finding out. I say, since there are so many suprises, the girls will dominate!!!
All of these belly shots, I keep wondering how none of you have waistlines and I did. Not that is was attractive, mind you, but you all have these cute round bellies and there was mine with big red marks from pants, no matter how loose, and the indent.
MORE BELLIES!
My maternity pants are still falling down. I didn't have this problem last time.
bh I am feeling them this time, but there is a mild cramping going with them. I hate it.
rings I have lost enough weight that my rings are too big.
jenah don't feel bad, I have a quasi-waist that looks awful.
WOW! I'm out 2 days and it takes me over 30 minutes to catch up.
Babae- Yeah for your boy!
Isobel and FSB- Yeah for girls!
RO's- Thanks for the registery tips!
Jen- Cute invites and belly shots!
Janey- Cute belly shots!
Boilermaker- I'm with you, I can't imagine chasing a toddler b/c I have a hard enough time w/ 2 dogs!
Stars- I'm thankful for your good results!
Kicks- Yeah starting to feel them right smack in the bladder!
Location- He moves a lot, but mainly he stays in my low belly. Sometimes I get kicks on my left side and then sometimes right under my belly button. DH felt one last night!
Babyshower- I would not hesitate to have DH ask his MIL if she is planning to throw you a shower. Wanting a gf only shower is completly understandable.
I think I'm having 3 showers. 1 in Tulsa w/ my family, 1 in OKC w/ my old friends and 1 in Amarillo w/ DH's family. I'm excited!!!!
Sorry no time to talk right now b/c work is swamped, but hope all is well with everyone. I have an u/s tomorrow morning at 9 to confirm gender and an OB appt right after.
QOTD- High, high, high. Mine likes to kick closer to my ribs and on the sides. I have had one or two days where baby was hanging out low, and I am sorry for those mommies who have low babies, because that is pretty uncomfy! I am actually starting to worry about how large my uterus has gotten. I made the mistake of reading about the cause for unusually large fundal height measurements and none of them are good- except twins, but we are certain there is only one! I really need to stop doing so much research. I am sure it is just because I am short and have no waist that my uterus is so high...
Boilermaker- yeah for a good u/s! I can't wait to see pictures!
usafwife- I hope it's not your BP. I know that can be a real problem. I hope you are able to manage it without meds. Thanks for the suggestion about the shower. I am not so much worried about my family- we don't need shower for them! And no, unfortunately DH is an only child! I think I will probably just let my friend throw the "girlfriend" shower and my MIL can do whatever she wants!
Isobel- Yippee for adding to the girls numbers! I wish I could see your belly shots! I am sure they are just fine.
Elenna- on the BH contractions, I have had one or two. I didn't know what they were until I had one when I was around my friend that just had a baby. I asked her "did your stomach ever tighten up all of a sudden?" she said, "yeah Michelle, That's called a contraction (BH)" Whoops! I had no idea. So, yeah, I guess I have been getting them for a couple of weeks. Not very many though.
la_bride- how cute that your baby is a southpaw! I still think it's crazy that so many things are decided before they are ever born. How could anyone think that just because a baby hasn't been born, that it is not a real person? They have obviously never been pregnant. It sounds like all our little ones have so much personality already!
E'sprincess- too funny about the nose thing! I hope this baby has dh's nose. Mine is just too big! I hope your baby girl cooperates during the u/s tomorrow and they can see her tiny ticker. Stay away from dh! You don't want to go through that.
JenJen- Wish your son a happy birthday!
Wasabi- No worries. I am holding my ground on the name issue and nothing his family says can make me change my mind! I know that seems terrible, but I can't help it!
Sorry about the maternity clothes woes. I wish I could have waited as long as you. I popped quick for a first timer and have been wearing them forever. I am not a huge shopping fan, so I completely understand your pain.
Janey- I loved the belly shot progression.
Jenah- I am not even going to respond to your silliness! You ARE one of us. Waistlines, what are waistlines? It has been so long I don't think I remember what that is! I have a slight "going in" where my rib cage starts, but I wouldn't call that a waist!
Mrs Ski- you haven't gained any total weight yet? Wow, I feel tubby. I never lost any, just gained, gained, gained... This is not good. Your rings sound gorgeous! I can't believe your husband is so intuitive- or do you give him big hints?
PrincessCJ- Have a great u/s tomorrow! I am sure all is well with your baby boy.
Daniel's Kitty- I can't believe your maternity clothes are still falling off! And your're an RO! I am so jealous. I had a weight freak out last night when I though I was getting rolls over my knees- never pretty. I did some ball exercises while watching tv to try to calm myself down- then I got up early and did my preggo video. I am still huge, but feeling a bit better about myself- I just wish I had your problem!
******
Thanks everyone for the shower advice. I think I am just too concerned about all of this. My friend said she would call my MIL and just tell her that they need to have a shower for me. I shot down that idea, but it did make me laugh! I am just going to let her plan the shower however she wants and my MIL can do whatever she wants. DH did say he was going to bring it up in passing though. That may help iron this stuff out. I just don't want to make an extra burden for my friends throwing the shower, or irritate my MIL!
Time is just flying by. I feel like Thanksgiving will be here before I know it. Then Christmas just rolls right over me! How is time flying so fast? Anyone else traveled on a plane at 30 weeks before? Is the pressure uncomfortable? I know I will be sitting on the aisle and getting up a lot because I have a real problem sitting still right now- but I don't know if I should expect to blow up like a balloon, or if it isn't too bad. I wonder if I need to get a Dr's note to fly at 30 weeks. I have heard that you need to for some airlines in your 3rd trimester. My Dr. has said it was okay already.
jenjen0713
10-05-2006, 01:16 PM
bombera - I flew when I was 30 or 31 weeks pregnant. I would double check with the airline, but I think for most it is after 35 or 36 weeks that you have to have permisison. I just remembered to drink lots of water and comfortable clothes and shoes and walked around every chance I got. I didn't notice that I swelled up anymore than normal.
Stars: Great news on your test results.
Isobel: Congrats on your twin girls.
QOTD- BH's: I actually started feeling them around 16/17 weeks and then haven't really felt any since.
QOTD- Baby: Usually, the baby hangs out pretty low. At first always on my right, but now on the left or in the middle sometimes. I can feel kicks at the top part of my uterus (under my belly button) occasionally. Baby loves to press on my bladder and usually after one of his marathon karate session, I'm running to the bathroom. He is moving a lot more now, which is awesome.
*********************
Had my cervical lenght checked again today as I've had lots of cramping the last few days. Cervix is measuring fine and is closed. My OB sent me to the lab for a UA to rule out a UTI. Not really sure what's going on. I'm home in bed for the rest of the week though.
usawife: hope its not your bp
isobel: congrats on the girls!!!!!
jenahdawn: don't be silly, you are not a stalker and will forever be a feb '07 mommy. :) i agree with everyone else, you are truely inspiring.
e'sprincess: i was laughing when you mentioned that scene in "look who's talking". so funny!
jenejen0713: happy birthday to your son and have fun during your time off. :)
wasabi_green_peas: i have a hard time shopping too. i could never find anything at the maternity section. i surprisingly found cute stuff at lane bryant and the plus size section.
bombera77: i asked my OB about flying and she said that i can fly at the latest 6 weeks before my due date.
ladybug777: hope the cramping stops. definitely get some rest and take it easy.
QOTD: i think i had BH a few days ago. the right side of my belly tightened up a bit.
location: baby was sitting low but now it feels like baby is one inch higher. i feel kicks mostly on the right of my belly but, the baby managed to switch last night from right to left. what an acrobat! hehe
rings: i stopped wearing my ring before i was pregnant because i lost one of the diamonds from the pave setting. i didn't take the time to get it repaired. :( i doubt they fit now.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
my nose has been really stuffy lately. i keep hoping that its a pregnancy symptom similar to what i had during my first trimester and not the flu. the last thing i want is to get sick with flu while pregnant. i'm getting my flu shot at costco next week.
also, i've been feeling awfully hot lately. at night, i cover my whole body with a blanket except my feet because, if i cover my feet with the blanket then, my feet get too hot.
oh and i've been having this crazy craving for malt. malt shakes and ovaltine. lol
MrsSki
bombera Nope. No weight gain. But I'm a bit heavy to begin with. I didn't gain any weight with DD until the 6th month. And between the 5 month visit and 6 month visit, I had gained 10 lbs. I almost had a coronary and immediately asked if that was normal. Total, I gained 25 lbs. My guess is it will the same with this one. You're pregnant honey. Let it all hang out. It's the only time you are going to get away with it!!!!
I actually had hinted to DH about the second band. We were at the mall and went to where we bought the original band (engagement ring was purchased online) and they had another with the same size stones and my ring size. I put it on and it looked AMAZING. I got the second band before DD was born and I wore it like crazy while I could. DH got a new home theatre system as a 'thanks for getting me knocked up' gift.
Did someone say Malt Shakes??? I'm snacking on Hot Tamales and Orange Crush. I've got Hersey miniatures in the candy dish on my desk and am so not interested. Curly Fries from Arby's would be good about now too......
dpangel: hmmm..you're a tuff one??? You seem to have a long torso and that makes it hard. I wanted to say boy as soon as I saw your 20 week shot, you look really low. But, after I studied your pics. from 5-20, I see that between week 14 and 16, you look a lot higher. Ok...done analyzing your belly.;) I'm going w/ my first instinct and that tells me BOY!!! I would not at all be surprised if you are having a girl either, though! lol
daniels kitty: Me too!!! It is so wierd, my pants fall off of me too and look like I'm carrying around a "load" in my butt!lol This NEVER happened w/ Landon, it's strange. I feel like I'm carrying exactly the same, but maybe I'm not. I get mixed opinions from people, some say I look the same others say I am carrying different. Who knows.
rings: Mine still fits fine. I don't think I had to take it off until around 7 1/2 months w/ Landon. I was able to get them back on at 4 weeks PP.
Jenah - You stick around as loooong as you want, girlfriend!
Isobel - Congratulations on your GIRLS! :D
DPAngel - I'm guessing GIRL for you. But I think Rancherswife is right... you're hard to guess with that long torso. I think you look a lot like FSB does, so I'm going with Girl.
Rings - I don't think I've complained quite enough yet about water retention... so I'll just tell you that not only does my engagement ring not fit, my 2 ct. fake bling from Target that was 1.5 sizes bigger than my ering also now does not fit. It's incredible. I don't know what I'm going to look like in another 3 months, but I'm guessing it's not going to be pretty. My knuckles are already disappearing! I keep having visions of looking like the kid from Charlie & The Chocolate Factory who turns into a blueberry.
Oh! My goodness. I almost forgot my other bit of news -- I signed up for Childbirth Prep Classes yesterday. The class I really wanted was full, so I had to take my 2nd choice, and hope I don't go into labor too early. I'm glad it's done though -- one less thing to think about.
dp, seeing your belly, I just got pangs.
I'm saying boy
Yesterday was a rough day, today I'm just tired and moody. But, rather than make me sad, you guys are making me smile.
I'm alone today. Matt's bringing lunch, but otherwise I'm alone. Probably a good thing since I smell like cabbage so bad....And it doesn't seem to want to work....But I could NEVER eat the stuff! *gag*
Oh, and dp, can I say I LOVE the fact you have taken your picture with the same bottoms on in about the same place? (Same with Janey)
Reminder for next time.
It's so much easier to compare for the two of you!
dpangel- I am saying boy with you too, but I am not very certain. I was so sure about fsb2005, then I was wrong- but I am trying again. You look great btw! I agree with Jenah- it is much easier to see the progression when you are wearing the same thing. Definitely something to remember for next time.
Jenah- I visited the link in your signature. I am going to do my very best to light a candle that night!
Last night I went to watch my softball team play and to watch my friend's 3-month old so she could play. Her little girl is SO cute. I can't wait to have my own to hold. She is quite the little slobberer. She was mowing down on my shoulder the whole time and my lightweight shirt was completely stuck to my whole upper arm by the time I left. It was too funny! She loves to watch the action on the field and hates it when you sit down. She wants to be in constant motion all the time. I can see that I am really going to have to build up my arm muscles before this baby comes! It takes a lot of energy to bounce a baby for that long.
Hey just checking in before I leave the office. My U/S went good today, Cole is for sure a boy! He's up to 16oz.
I did have quite a bad scare at the office. After the nurse took my blood pressure she turned really pale and she said OMG Candice your BP is terribly high, are you feeling okay, did you take anything,.....blah, blah, blah. I was like no, no and no. Nothing out of the ordinary. She said take a few deep breaths I want to retake it. I took several deep breaths and she re-tested and still it was really high (I'm talking like 140/150 or something like that). So she brought the doctor in and the doc was talking about preclampsia and all the tests we needed to run and discussing diet and how my bp had gone from 110/65 to this. Tears were welping up in my eyes and I thought I was going to vomit so she had me rest for a few minutes so they could take it again. I did some yoga poses in the office and said a nice long prayer and then another nurse came in to check it b/c my regular nurse was with a patient. THe new nurse went to take it and she said OMG this machine is jacked up and she left the room and brought in another machine. She checked my BP on the new machine and thank the lord it was normal. Actually kinda low 110/48, but that's probably b/c I had been hardcore meditating trying to calm down. So after all of the fuss, everything is fine and it was just a broken BP machine. Wouldn't you think my nurse would have noticed it was broken?
Anyways, glad to hear all is well with everyone. Have a great weekend!
bombera: That IS a scare. Glad everything was really OK!
jenah: ((hugs)) I hope your evening gets better. Come visit us for a good laugh/smile any time. We're pretty good for that here, I think. ;) Sorry about the cabbage smell. No good.
dpangel: Yeah, I agree, way to go w/ wearing the same thing each week. Smart girl.
Oh, I'm so bad. I was bad about this w/ Landon too. I think I have 3 belly shots w/ Landon, and so far w/ this one. NONE!!! BAD MOMMY!!! I promise to take one and get it up for you guys before Tuesday, for guesses. :)
Landon and I are on our own tonight. Dh and a bunch of his friends are headed up to our cabin for a night of poker. One of his friends b-day and his wife called last week and asked if dh could take him up there and bring a bunch of their friends for the night. So, I think we're going to hit Old Navy Maternity w/ my cousin and her little one. Then grab dinner and bring it home. Landon's been a little un-ruley in restraunts these days! ;) Then tomorrow night, he's spending the night w/ my parents. Dh and I are getting up early on Sunday morning and going to the 49er/Raider game in SF w/ my cousins and some friends. I could care less about football, but looking forward to eating yummy tailgate food and watching the cheerleaders! ;)
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
PrincessCJ: Geesh, you'd think the doctor or nurse would have noticed the bp machine was broken. Good thing everything was ok though.
dpangel: I'm going to guess girl.
Today's been a fun day. DH got kicked in the face by the baby.:) I was sitting on the couch after eating breakfast and felt some strong kicks. I bared my belly to see if I could see the kicks from the outside. DH noticed and stuck his cheek on my belly. When we didn't get anymore kicks, DH started talking into my belly. Sure enough, Lee kicked hard and DH got it full on the cheek.:)
Then I made a pouch style baby sling today. My first one. I think I might have made it a tad too small, but I'm not sure if it is just my belly getting in the way. I'll try to take a picture of it and post. It was fairly easy to make. I think it came out quite nice for me being a novice seamstress.
PrincessCJ - I'm sorry to hear about your scare. Blood pressure is more subjective than you'd think... I had to learn how to do it when I was in college, and things are moving so fast that I don't know how they get it right every time. Each time they take it they get a different reading. Craziness.
Also, it's the lower # not the higher # that they get panicky about. Shame on that nurse for freaking you out. :/
Jenah - Thank you for saying that about the outfit. :p I went down to the Jockey store and bought that black sports bra for $4 just so i'd have one to match the maternity yoga pants (from Gap). I feel like such a doofus standing there in my "belly shot outfit" every Sunday, but I'm kind of glad now that I did it that way. It kind of makes for a cool progression. I don't post the weekly one just because that'd be too much posting... but it's kind of fun to see all those weeks in the same outfit, with a growing belly (and growing arms and butts and legs and and and ;)).
Elenna - You're so crafty! I can't wait to see your sling. :D
Mom bought me a "Yay for Half way!" present today -- the Graco Counting Sheep Pack-N-Play (http://www.gracobaby.com/catalog/product.aspx?modelNumber=9887COU&subCatId=18). I love those sheeps. I think they're so freakin' cute!
Looks like I had a growth spurt.
Here's the sling I made. Sorry I'm not wearing it.
The green is the inside fabric (though I made the sling reversible so it could be the outside). The plaid fabric is blue/purple/green (though you really can't see the green and the purple looks more blue than purple in the photo).
Oooo.....threadmistress....there's a bit of a change....Katie was 8 3/4" and Chloe was 8" (If they would have been 20 plus inches, it would not have been so much of a problem....well, except for their weights....)~~~Those are numbers I will never forget.
Elenna, if you didn't know, I don't know how you couldn't tell boy belly....wow!
So, sorry for the sideways picture but I think you'll get the idea if you turn your head ;) AND please excute the food crusted to my tank, that's pretty much what your clothes look like at the end of the day w/ a 16 mo. old! :)
Rancher's wife- Girl, girl, girl! Good luck on the u/s tomorrow. Love the belly shot, I don't mind turning my head. Sorry about flickr problems.
Danea- Have a great U/S today! Tell us ASAP!
Elenna- Great sling, did you use a pattern or just wing it. If you used a pattern, where did you find it. I love to sew and would love to make a sling or two for the munchkin! Kudos to you too on the "belly shot outfit." I love the progression.
Augustbride- Have a great u/s on Wednesday and I can't wait to find out what you are having too!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent most of it working on an elephant costume for one of my co-workers daughters. I am charging her to make it, but not enough for the amount of time and effort it took! I love the finished product though. It came out really cute. I will post some pictures when she gets some for me. It is hard to get the right effect on a hanger!
I am so excited to to see our little one tomorrow. I am holding firm, it's still going to be a surprise, so no need for belly shot guesses. You all will have several more months to guess for us.
I found out this weekend that my neighbor two houses down is due on February 12th! How exciting. She and her husband have a little boy who turned one in August. We don't talk very much and my husband and I keep talking about having them over for dinner, but haven't done it. I think I am going to have to do that soon so we can get to be better friends. It would be so great to have a mommy friend so close by!
Bombera: I got the pattern/ instructions from Jan Andrea's (http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/index.html) website. There are several websites with instructions, but I liked her's the best because of her diagrams and photos. (I'm still very new to sewing so I needed those to help me.) The sling thread in the 0-18 months forum has more links.
Had a doctor's appointment on Thursday and I was up 12 pounds in one month! :eek: Yes, you all read that right...12 pounds in one month. Besides that, appointment was uneventful. The doctor did move my due date up from Feb. 22 to Feb. 13, so I might have a Valentine's baby after all.
Okay, I need some help. My allergies are killing me. I succumbed to Tylenol Allergy last week to get some help sleeping and my doctor's list said that ANY Tylenol product was okay. That worked for about a week, and then the last two nights I have been miserable again. I have a call into the nurse, but I am wondering if any of you have any advice from your doctors about allergies. I need something that will knock me out if possible. I will suffer all day- that is fine, but I have to sleep... There is going to be enough not-sleeping soon. I need my sleep now...
jenjen, 12 pounds in one month sounds like something I'd do :) I guess that baby just needed to grow. I'm jealous that your due date got moved up a week. I was so hoping for that but no luck.
Elenna, that sling is so cute. You could go into business making them :) I bet a lot of us would buy them from you. Any interest? :D
bombera, have fun at your u/s tomorrow. We kept ours a surprise and I hope you do too :) That elephant costume sounds adorable.
I know everyone else has been posting, so hello to all of you!
Let's see, I think I missed the ring question. I haven't had any swelling in my hands or feet yet. So no problem with the rings. I did hurt my ring finger about a year ago playing volleyball and the knuckle swelled up. When that happened, I had the rings upsized and a positioner placed in them so I could get them over the knuckle, so I imagine that helps too. Now my inner thighs, they just keep getting bigger and bigger...
Someone posted about childbirth classes. I signed up for ours last week as well and it was a good thing. The hospital doesn't have classes in Dec or Jan, so we're on for November. I also signed up for a breastfeeding class in Jan.
So is anyone else dealing with yucky heartburn? At least I think it is heartburn. I've never had that before. But everytime I eat, my stomach feels like crap for about an hour. I bought some Tums last night but I forgot to bring them to work with me.
Dpangel - I'm guessing a BOY
Rancher's Wife - I think a GIRL
Hi everyone... Hope you all had a great weekend... Back to work now...
So Friday I went in for my OB appt... Went really good. heartbeat 150+, Moving all around, but yet to feel her. and I gain 4 lbs in one month. Ok so I lost 12 in the beginning... but she's making a come back because I'm up 2 lbs from where I started... so 14lbs so far. lol. Then we went shopping for decorations for the baby showers... OMG their so cute. Then off to the Ultrasound. Reconfirming it's a GIRL... and heart looks great, she's very twisty in there, but she wasn't hitting the wall, so that's why I haven't felt her. Started narrowing the list of names... Man! this is so hard.. then went to see my Great Grandma who 93..She's not doing so good, so this will probably be the last time I see her. We told her about the baby, but I don't think remembered me, then had dinner with my Mom, Sis and Nephew. Then home finally at like 10pm,
Saturday, up at the crack of dawn, thanks to Dalton (my nephew) lol, made Taco Salad and Brownies... for my Dad's 50th Birthday Party. Eric was still sick so he stayed home. Mom left to go back home. Stayed there until 7, Took 1.5 hours to get home due to all the construction... ugh... shopped at Targets and Old Navy. :D SHOPPING :D.. Then Home 10pm again... :( Eric was still Sick, so we couldn't go to SIL Party... I'm sorry. That night, I finally felt her... Kinda like little bubbles in my tummy... Very weird...
Sunday, still felling her... wiggle and shake, went to MIL house for the day to celebrate SIL B-day... Enjoyed a nice nap on the couch... and woke up to Kayla (my niece) kissing my cheek and arm.... OMG... so cute... Had Pizza and Cake and ice cream.. Home by 8, finally watched Lost... and then Yep that's right off to bed, for my LAST week of WORK... I"m so happy...
Rancherswife: I was gonna say girl but with all of the boys here I am going to go with BOY!
jenjen: That's a huge growth spurt!
bombera77: sorry to hear about your allergies. Hope you find something to help you get sleep.
boilermaker: sorry to hear about your heartburn, Hope it goes away soon!
We had a great weekend. I spent some girl time with my sister. We hung out and went shopping. I got knaki pants, a knit dress, tights for the fall, and my maternity belt from Motherhood outlet. My husband worked on Saturday and was able to catch the Blue Angels perform over the San Francisco bay.
On Sunday, DH and I went to a wedding. It was fun except for the VERY loud music when it came to the dancing portion. Everyone agreed and many of the older folks left early. Oh and the baby was kicking the whole time. I think the baby couldn't stand the loud music either. Oh and another thing that was funny was that everyone wanted me to cut in front of everyone in line for the buffet. I didn't do it because, it just didn't feel right but, it was nice that people were looking out for me.
My DH cousin and I were chatting about being pregnant at the wedding. She asked me if I felt the baby hiccup and said its a weird feeling. I told her I haven't yet. Funny thing is that when we got home from the wedding as I got into bed, I felt repeated kicks which lasted a good 2-3 minutes. I think it was baby having hiccups. So cute! :)
bombera77 - Oh my allergies have been outrageous as well!! My Dr okayed Clariton-D, but it's not working as effectively on me anymore. So I've been trying the Tylenol Allergy/Sinus stuff and that doesn't work either. Hi Moms-
Love all the belly shots!!!!!!
rancher I'm thinking boy as well.
dpangel tick, tick, tick.....patiently waiting!!!
Had a great weekend. DH, DD and I went to Door County, WI this weekend to attend a wedding. My parents, both Sis's and nephew met us there to entertain DD while we were at the wedding. The weather was absolutely delightful and the color changes on the trees was spectacular. There were tons of festivals and kitschy stores to peruse. I found a new love....chocolate covered, dried cherries. O.M.G. And a berry mix of dried cherries, cranberries, blueberries, pistachios, cashews and walnuts. Absolutely sinful. www.countryovens.com is their website. That's the first thing I bookmarked this morning when I got in the office. The wedding was very nice. The one inch slab of prime rib that was slapped down in front of me for dinner...not so nice. I loathe prime rib. But I was so hungry, I ate 3/4 of it, all my twice baked potatoe and 1/2 of DH and all the veggies. Our table got jipped and didn't get cake, so you can bet I made a stink about that. It was sure good when we did get it. And then they brought out hot, hand tossed pizza about 2.5 hours later. Oh so good.
Didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with my family, but they spent tons of time with DD and that's what counted. Hopefully they'll be visiting over Thanksgiving and then I won't see them until spring. They live 6 hours away and we don't like to travel there or have them travel here during winter months as the midwest weather is so hokey anymore.
This child has been moving like crazy and it's super cute.
OH - I also had a pretty nasty cold last week. Sudafed was my very best friend. Such relief from congestion. OB also told me Benadryl was OK to take as well.
jenjen Don't worry. I'm guessing that the next doc appt or the one following, I'll have done the same thing. Your doc would say something if they were concerned.
Heartburn Oh yes. Just about everything I eat gives it to me. I keep Tums, Rolaids and the Rolaids softchews in my purse, coat pocket, car, DH's truck, bathroom and kitchen. I had it with DD so bad that I was sleeping with the industrial sized bottle at night. DH would get so made that me made me put them in a baggie because shaking the bottle at night woke him up. Poor baby. My mom always said that it was the baby growing hair. So DD had a headful when she was born, but was quick to lose it.
PrincessCJ81
Heartburn- YES!! It is the worst. Usually I can drink a glass of milk and it goes away, but no matter what I eat I seem to get it.
So this weekend my belly started flattening out a little??? DH says it looks like the baby has moved up some so he's more spread out, but I look less pregnant now than I did 2 weeks ago, What's the deal?
Rancherswife- I think you have a girl belly!
EDD- My doctor keeps saying I'm measuring a week big, but she hasn't changed the due date, isn't that strange?
rancherswife
10-09-2006, 04:07 PM
princess: My tummy looks flat out in front somedays too. I remember it doing that w/ Landon too. I think it's just the way the baby is positioned or something???
heartburn: Oh yeah! I've got it, as we speak!!! It's wonderful. My *need* for mexican food, all the time this pgcy doesn't help matters, either! ;) I had it w/ Landon too, but not until the end!
due date changes: Be thankful your dr. won't move your due date because you'e measuring big, I really don't think it means anything, except just that, your uterus is a bit bigger than it should be. If they were to change the date, chances are, that date would come and go and you'd be p!ssed! Trust me, from a girl who went 9 days over due w/ #1! I measured between 1-2 weeks bigger from about 7 mos. on, he never changed my date, but I had it in my head, that the baby would come sooner. WRONG!!! ;)
So, my good friend who shares a due date w/ me found out this morning she's having a little girl! She's got a little boy who just turned two! She and her dh were very shocked, first baby girl on dh's side in four generations. Really cool. I was surprised too, actually, all of my IRL friends who are pg right now are ALL having boys, just like the girlees on here! :)
Yay for a girl dpangel33!!! I guessed right too! Our bellies did look similar though, so that was a little clue. :) Congrats!
----------------------------
Question: I haven't felt this lately, but has anyone else every felt sort of strange uterus cramps when they peed? For a while I was feeling them often, especially if I had been holding it for a while. Anyway, they weren't that painful, so I wasn't concerned, but just wondering if that's common or just me. :)
Otherwise, my belly has shifted up a lot lately too. It's finally starting to fill in more under my boobs so that I don't just have a strange pooch sticking out way low followed by a long, still small waist above.
Also, I bought baby bedding the other day!!! I've been looking around for a while, and was not finding a lot that I liked. The few that I did like were SO expensive, and I'm just not paying $500 for crib bedding!
I had picked this bedding out if it was a boy, but I decided that it would work for a girl too, especially if I had a white crib. Anyway, here it is:
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e158/fsb2005/DW-RP_lrg.jpg
It hasn't arrived yet, but hopefully I like it in person too. Do you all think it will work for a girl?
Very cute... fsb...
Also on the pain... I would check with your Dr. it might just be a bladder/track infection. I have alot of pressure down there, but my doc said that if it didn't hurt or burn it was ok. Since your hurts I would check....
Girls looks just as cute in Blue too.. LOL
dpangel Congrats on the girl!!!!
fsb Bladder cramping - Ugh. I had that with DD, but more late in the pregnancy. Every. Single. Time. I had to pee. I don't know that it was my uterus cramping, but at the time, everything inside was achy and pains were coming from everywhere. I just know that there was cramping when I peed.
For the bedding you ordered - super cute!!!! You could absolutely do this for a girl. To me, the color is more aqua than blue. And with a white crib.....lovely. You could girl it up by adding softer colors in any accessories you choose (vintage prints, toys, glider cushion material, etc)
Yeah for a GIRL on the way dpangel:D!
I like that bedding FSB and can imagine it in a very cute modern looking nursery. The good part is that it's not too babyish and will grow with your daughter.
dpangel: Congrats on the GIRL! Yay!!!!
fsb: Very cute bedding. It would definitey work for a girl. The color is light enough for a girl. If it were darker then, it would suit a boy.
Sorry to hear about your bladder issues. If I were you, I'd definitley go to the doctor and check it out.
Thanks Ladies!!
fsb - I think that would be so cute with some girly accent colors!!
I have a lot of pressure on my bladder when I go pee, but it's not painful just uncomfortable. Dr thinks it's b/c she's head down and so low that's causing it.
Danea- Yeah for your little girl. Now my son can have a girlfriend in the area!!!
FSB- Cute bedding! I think it'll be precious for a girl.
Bladder issues- Yeah, same feeling.
Here is a really personal question that I am almost too embarassed to ask, but I'm even more embarassed to ask my doctor. After you have an "O" does your uterus get really hard? I can physically feel mine contract, should I avoid having sex or is this normal? I'm hoping that an "O" always makes your uterus contract and I just don't feel it normally b/c it's so much smaller. Any thoughts??? Sorry for the TMI!!!
hellooo everyone!
Danea- Congrats on the girl! Those pink numbers are rising! I broke down yesterday and called the dr. about the allergies. The nurse prescribed an antihistamine with a decongestant that knocks you out. I just take one at night and I used it last night. Worked like a charm! Within 30 minutes my sinuses were clear and I slept like a baby. Of course I don't know the name, but I will try and remember to write it down and post it tomorrow.
FSB- I think the bedding rocks. Not too boyish at all. The fabric that I found for mine is kind of a lighter blue with tans and browns and I am using it either way! Go blue for girls! About the cramping with potty breaks, oh yeah. I started getting them about 12 weeks and they happen on occasion. When they do I am doubling over for just a bit after I am finished. It makes it hard to get my pants back up! Usually by the time I make it to the sink to wash my hands it is over. My doctor said it is perfectly normal. Now, obviously if there is actual burning with urination, that is bad and you should go in. As long as it is just cramping without blood, you are fine- but of course, I am not a doctor, so if you are worried, you should definitely call.
Elenna- Thanks for the pattern link. I checked them out and even bought some sling rings yesterday to try and make a ring sling. I want to try out both and see which one I like best.
Aloha- Get well soon! Do you need some chicken soup? If so, make your dh get you some!
*******
The u/s was great this morning! What a wonderful experience. We have a baby! The tech didn't even go check what we are having so I am still team green. Sorry to dissappoint... It was so wonderful to see what I had been hoping for. 10 fingers and 10 toes and WOW that baby is flexible. The baby had his feet up by her face most of the time. (I alternate pronouns to be fair!)We got to have it on video as well as some still shots. The tech was even nice enough to flip it to the 4D setting when we were done so we could really see the baby's face. It was really cool. We didn't get still shots of that. You have to buy an extra package to get them, but we did get it on video. It is harder to see on the video, because it doesn't come in color, but it is still pretty cool.
So, here is my belly shot progression, although I am due for another one tomorrow so I am bigger than this now:
http://static.flickr.com/104/266188916_c89e52ef49_m.jpg
And here is the baby that is in that belly!
The baby's profile:
The baby's face: to me it really looks like the baby's eyes are open and looking right at the machine, but the tech said they don't open their eyes until around 28 weeks.
http://static.flickr.com/116/266217884_5e78514b9a_m.jpg
The baby's toes:
Too much fun. My dh and I were both thrilled to see our little munchkin and what an answer to prayers that all is well. I also had my gestational diabetes test. The orange drink really wasn't that bad and the dr's office is nice enough to refrigerate it for you before hand, so it just tasted like too sweet Gatorade. Not too bad when you are hungry anyway. They will have the tests back later this week and if I don't hear anything, all is well.
My dr. took my fundal measurement and I measured at 23 cm which for being 24 weeks is about right on. The baby measured about 3 days ahead of schedule, but the tech said that is not unusual and doesn't really mean anything. The baby weighs about 1lb 9oz. I was worried because on the charts the location of my uterus is well above what they say it should be, but the dr. just confirmed my suspicions, I am SHORT! 23 cm on me is not the same as 23 cm on a "normal" sized person. So, my uterus is just below my rib cage.
Okay, this was a marathon! Thanks for letting me get out all my excitement!
Princess ~ EDD- My doctor keeps saying I'm measuring a week big, but she hasn't changed the due date, isn't that strange?
Don't worry about it. I measured ahead 5 days by u/s with my DD (from the very first one at 9 wks). My OB never once changed my EDD. Good thing because if that would have happened and I wouldn't have went into labor until I did I would have been 10 days over. Five days over was enough to cause me to pull my hair out.
With this one I had the EDD based on LMP. The next one we got at 8 wks via u/s said 4 days ahead. The latest one from the 20 wk u/s said a wk before my LMP EDD. My OB hasn't changed my EDD. The only thing that she's said is that sometime during the first week of February most likely.
Usually they won't change your EDD unless it was considerably off (i.e. like a 2 wk difference in either direction). Usually they will change it based on a first trimester u/s and not one done after that point because first trimester u/s are much more accurate at determining EDDs than later u/s because babies grow at different rates once you are past a certain point.
dpangel ~ Congrats on your little girl!!
stars ~ A lot of time OBs will do scheduled c-sections anytime after 38 wks so they may be going off that as well.
fsb ~ The bedding looks aqua to me, not blue, so perfectly acceptable to use for a little girl. We have a Winnie the Pooh theme for DD (and now the Pooh characters are DD's most favorite characters....her face lights up whenever she spots one). At first DH wanted to do a Princess theme but I wasn't so sure about pink, pink, pink, pink, pink. I'm glad we didn't go with that now. I told him we could do that theme for her room once she was older.
Princess ~ Here is a really personal question that I am almost too embarassed to ask, but I'm even more embarassed to ask my doctor. After you have an "O" does your uterus get really hard? I can physically feel mine contract, should I avoid having sex or is this normal? I'm hoping that an "O" always makes your uterus contract and I just don't feel it normally b/c it's so much smaller. Any thoughts??? Sorry for the TMI!!!
Yes, when you O your uterus contracts and causes contractions. That's why sometimes they will tell you to "have fun" if you are close to/past your EDD and are wanting to go into labor (though it doesn't always work...several items play into that equation). I have it a lot more during this pregnancy than I ever did with DD. I think part of it is that this little guy is MUCH lower than DD was. Feel free to ask your OB about it next time you are at an appointment though.
Back from my u/s and........
My instincts were completely on...it's a BOY!!!
We enjoyed every minute of our u/s. Baby looked great, it is UNBELIEVABLE how much this baby's profile looks like Landons does. Landon had the MOST distinct profile in his u/s and when he was born, it looked (and still looks) exactly the same. :) Little turned up nose and full lips. We're totally in love and could not be happier! Measurements were right on, except for his legs, his legs measured a week ahead, same as Landon's did. Dh is 6'1'' tall, so enough said. ;)
Name: I think I already shared it here, but offically, his name is Reece Carter! Not sure how we love the "c" in Reece, so it may go to an "s", we'll see!
bombera: Great u/s pics., darling profile!!! Another strong mama and daddy in bunch. I so would have caved, I was getting annoyed at our tech., because she didn't even ask us if we wanted to know and was just going on about her business, finally I had to tell her and then she was like..."well, we'll see if I can get a good shot." wtf?
Rancherswife- Yeah for a boy! It will be so much fun for Landon to have a baby brother!
LOL about your getting irritated with the tech! I think I scared ours because as soon as she walked into the room I blurted out "we don't want to know what it is!" I knew if I didn't tell her right away I would cave!
Rancherswife: Congrats on your boy!
I ordered my first piece of clothing for little Lee. It is a onsie that has a DnD human baby character info on the front. Nerdy, I know, but DH and I saw it and just had to order it.
PrincessCJ81 - Now wouldn't that be cute if we set them up from birth!!
bombera77 - Great u/s pics, I'm so jealous you got to see the baby in 4D and got a video of the session!!! (did you have the u/s done at the Dr's office or somewhere else??)
PrincessCJ81 & bombera77 - We still need to get together one of these days before the little ones arrive.
rancherswife - Congrats on another boy!!!
---------------
Well in all my excitement I didn't even give an update on my appt...
Baby is looking wonderful and is measuring right on for a 2/28 EDD, which the Dr is still sticking to so we'll see who's right come Feb ;)
I've gained a total of 12 lbs so far and Dr said I'm doing great, which was nice to hear since DH yells at me every night for indulging in a cup of ice cream :rolleyes:
My next appt is Nov 6th and that will include the glucose test which is nicely refridgerated :D
And my favorite u/s pic from the BIG day (this can be used in the mommy id):
Congrats on ultrasound news!
That glucose test sucks if it isn't cold. I barely kept it down last time.
I hate my insurance!!! We keep getting lists of what they aren't covering. We got a new bill today for almost $300 for lab work and the only thing I had done that day was my pap. How bad would that suck if they decided that they don't cover that?
I am finally feeling confident enough to do some shopping! I am pretty sure we will order this furniture set from Costco:
I was looking for a baby shower gift for a friend and ran across this bedding- I thought it was perfect for a little Aquarian and bought it immediately. It's even cuter in person! So now I have a nursery theme. :)
Thanks for all the responses on the pee cramping. Oh, and on the O cramping, I was definitely getting that, especially early on.
Congrats rancherswife on your boy!! I'm so proud of myself for guessing right for you and dpangel. ;)
Very fun to see bedding choices, etc. Has anyone thought about strollers?
Also, just a random comment, my belly button is totally getting shallow!! Especially at night after dinner when my belly is the largest, holy moly. I'm not looking forward to getting an outie, but I have a feeling that's going to happen to me if my belly button is already this shallow...
belly button - Mine's starting to get shallow too and that's saying a lot b/c before I used to be able to lose a finger in there :eek:
Also people keep asking me if my belly piercing is uncomfortable and why I haven't taken it out yet. Well if it was unfomfortable I would have taken it out by now, duh.
Labride- cute, cute, cute bedding! I love under the sea type themes!
Themes- If it were up to me we would be doing a zoo type theme( I love giraffes), but I told DH he could pick b/c if it were a girl I was going to be over the top girlie! He wants a western theme and thanks to rancherswife we have a lot of cute ideas!
DP and Bombera- I definatley need a prego girls GTG =)
Danea & FSB- I'm losng my belly button as well. It used to be extremely deep, but now it's almost poking out. I finally took my piercing out b/c you could see it through my clothes and it was itching, now there's a big hole in its place!
Strollers- There are several that we like, one in particular is an Eddie Bauer at BRU it's really cozy and has neutral plaid lining. It's not too expensive, but it's still sturdy.
Thanks for the responses on the personal questions. Glad to know it's normal.
Ranchers- Yeah for a boy!! I can't wait to see his nursery =)
Elenna-You will have to post Lee's new outfit!!
Bombera- Glad the baby is doing well!!! I honestly can't guess for you?? My gut says boy? or Juicy cheeseburger?
We went to the fair last night and I enjoyed some really great food, but man were my feet killing me afterwards. I think Cole loves music. One of the rides was playing AC/DC and he started kicking and moving when we walked by and then again later we stopped to listen to some music and he went crazy again. It was really exciting. I might have to get some headphones I can put on my belly to play him some music!
theme: We're going w/ a Vintage Garage type theme for Reece. There is no bedding that I got the idea from, I'll have to just find some that I like, I think PB Kids has a couple of options, may just go w/ plain, since the room itself will have enough, I'm sure. I'll have our muralist do old vintage gas pumps, cars, signs, etc. I just basically throw the theme out there to her and she goes from there. Need to call her soon, so I can get her scheduled while she's home for the holidays. She's going to school about 2 hours from here and her time is limited.
belly button: Mine is starting to get shallower and shallower, it was completely flat by the end of my pgcy w/ Landon.
princess: I can't wait to see what you do for Cole's nursery. ;) It'll be fun to see.
B]Elenna-[/B] I would love to see the onesie, I am a bit of a nerd myself. Although I have to say I really want the onesie with the very hungry caterpillar from Eric Carle's book that says "that night he had a stomachache." Okay, just thinking about it made me have to have it, so I just bought it off ebay for $3.25!
http://static.flickr.com/85/267096572_c0c4762e77.jpg
I know it is kind of boyish in the dark blue, but they didn't have one in white that was small enough. If I have a girl she can just wear it around the house. I love it so much. I am big fan in children's books. I just can't help it! Now I need the board book to go with it. Ooops, more shopping...
dpangel- great u/s shot. I have gained 4 more pounds than you and my doctor freaked me out by saying I was on the high side of normal. No more ice cream for me! I am sticking with Popsicles. Not as yummy, but still satisfying. I am jealous of you... LOL about the belly button piercing!
Daniel's Kitty- Insurance does suck. I can totally relate. I can't believe they aren't paying for some of your lab work. That is really lame.
labride- I love the bedding. too cute!
fsb2005- oh don't get me started on the belly button. The top of mine is already starting to poke out. It is not noticeable through my clothes, but it is only a matter of time. I Know I will have an outie soon. Yikes!
Strollers- I have been searching for strollers for months now. I know I am obsessing about this. I can't quite decide what to do. My sister says the combi stroller that is pretty lightweight is great. So my dh and I liked the look of the car seat that matched and thought we would do that, but then I read terrible reviews about the car seat fabric bleeding onto the babies clothes and that it was difficult to use! Not good, so now I am back to the expensive stroller I was looking at before. Sure it's not the bugaboo, but it's not cheap either. It is the bumbleride flyer.
http://static.flickr.com/98/267209661_2ad95b1074_m.jpg
I love the bamboo color- I also love that it can flip around and the baby can either be facing you or facing the street and it has a pretty high weight limit. The price is kind of daunting at $300. It is probably unnecessary, but I love it. Although I have never tired it. They don't sell them here in Dallas, but there are two stores in Houston that do and we are going there at the beginning of November for the International Quilt Festival (now who's the nerd Elenna? probably me:)) so I am going to check it out then. I will probably talk myself out of it because of the price, but we'll see.
PrincessCJ- I am with you on the fair. We went last Saturday and my feet were killing me by the end. My husband just HAD to keep looking at all the trucks and I just wanted to sleep. He did give me a foot rub when we got home so all was well! That is too cute about Cole being a music lover! You better get him started early! LOL about your gut saying "juicy cheeseburger" mine is always saying that! I had a woman last night tell me I WAS having a boy. She said she wasn't guessing, she knew. She seemed so adamant I almost believe her!
Rancherswife- Fun theme! How awesome that you have someone that can do a mural! I can't wait to see pictures.
http://static.flickr.com/85/267166824_20da3e4f1d.jpg?v=0 it's so pretty IRL. But we're painting the room sage green so that there not soooo much PINK... :)
Strollers... I have the Eddie Bauer, nave blue Plaid. I think it's a couple years old, but still in Brand New condition, also the matching car seat for DH's vehicle.
Bombera - That's a great onesie. :D I think it's awesome that our group is starting to buy stuff like this!
LA Bride - Hooray for Confidence! The furniture looks like a great choice.
Strollers - At first I thought I wanted a Peg Perego P3, but have since changed my mind. I think I need something a little more rugged. Now I have my heart set on a BOB Revolution (http://www.bobtrailers.com/strollers/revolution.php). I'm going to wait until REI has one of their "30% off one item in the store" sales, and pounce. I don't do much mall/crowd type stuff, but if I find I really need a lightweight stroller, I'll get a ~$100 one. I'm hoping that I can just use the BOB though. We'll see.
I had a dream last night that I was carrying triplets. Identical twin girls, and there was an 'extra' boy in there. I said in the dream, "Well, Duh! No wonder I'm gaining all this extra weight!!" :confused:
We also cut a whole bunch more baby names off our list, and now I have discovered that I don't like any of the boys' names we have left. Darnit. I tell everyone I think we're having a girl, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm thinking pink when I should be thinking blue. I loooove all the girls' names we have left, and don't like the boys' names. Boys' names are just HARD!
dpangel: congrats on the GIRL!
E'sprincess: I've had my uterus contract when I had an "O" too. It definitely feels weird.
rancherswife: Congrats on the BOY!
bombera: cute u/s and belly pics! The baby face pic is adorable!
Elenna: I'm a geek too! I'd love to see it. Can you post a pic of it?
la_bride_2004: cute bedding and nursary furniture. I just recently found out they had these on their website.
Belly Button: Mine is getting shallower too!
Nursery theme: We're going to go gender neutral so that we can pass it on to the next baby. We definitey want the color green as the main color.
Carseat/Stroller: We bought our car seat:
Graco SafeSeat Step 1 Infant Carseat
http://www.tinyride.com/prod_images/8a02cnp.jpg
We like it because, we can use it until the baby is one year old. Also, loved the black and white toile print! Oh and the carrier only weighs 8 lbs. :)
And here's the stroller we're going to register for:
Graco Snugrider
We chose this because it's lightweight and only weighs 12 lbs. Can you tell we like to travel light? :)
Here's a picture of the onesie from the website.
http://www.jinx.com/images/products/461bgBlack.jpg
Also, we both kinda like the fact that it is black. I can't wait to see it in person. They have several pictures on their website of their customers' babies wearing it. They're all so cute.
Bellybutton: Yep, mine is much shallower, too. I hope I don't wind up having an outie by the end. I, also, find myself playing with my shallow bellybutton, just because it is so different from before.
stroller: I'm thinking of getting the Graco Quattro Travel System. It is heavy, but otherwise has good reviews. I want to get it in the Castleton fabric.
http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pTRU1-2996363dt.jpg
I don't anticipate using it much. Just for longer excursions not for quick trips around town.
nursery themes: Rancherswife, I really like the idea of your theme. So unique. We're going with a fantasy theme (dragons, fairies, knights, wizards, unicorns, castles, etc). I found some bedding I like, but I'm not sure about it yet.
Janey: Maybe that means you're having a girl. DH and I couldn't agree on a girls name at all. We're having a boy, so no name problem.
Daniel's Kitty: I hear you on insurance sucking. I recently switched to my DH's insurance and we've had nothing but problems since. I spent all morning on the phone with my insurance and then the hospital trying to straighten it all out. It isn't resolved yet. I'm supposed to get a call back...yeah, right.
la_bride: I like that nursery furniture.
aug2002bride: Oh, what a stinker! Well, at least you get another shot at it in a couple of weeks, lucky you, get to see your little one again! :)
theme: Thank you for the compliments. As I thought w/ Landon's nursery, the same goes for this one, I want them to be able to grow w/ the theme, so I don't do it very babyish, ya know? I think it'll turn out cute, we'll see. :) Everyone has picked cute themes. It one of the funnest parts of preparing for the baby.
strollers: As I'm sure you read on my list of rec.'s a couple of weeks ago, I am a HUGE fan of the Peg Pliko P3. We are getting the double Peg front/back. Have to order it online, as no stores around us carry it. As for the infant seat, Landon's was the Graco snugride shelton print (black and silver) matched the Peg stroller perfectly and fit right into it. I think we'll be getting a new infant seat, as this one is a little faded looking. Dumb reason, I know, I'm just picky! ;)
Quick drop in... work is crazy this week.
theme: We don't really have one beyond "modern" and simple. We're putting up shelves with some of my metal lunchbox collection and some vintage toys. We plan to use Blix graphics on the walls. My mom just called tonight to let me know she bought my bedding for me:
http://www.babystyle.com/images/product/16668_MID_l.jpg
That was very sweet of her.
stroller: Well we have to get a double so our choices were limited. We went with the double snap and go to start and a Twin Savvy. And when I say "went with", I mean we registered for them and we hope someone buys them for us. :D We are saving our nickels just in case. ;)
I remeber howextremely fast my pgcy w/ Landon went from week 20 on, and this one is going to go just as fast, I'm sure, seeing that the first half has FLOWN by. Just be prepared, these next 20 (give or take) weeks is going to FLY!!!
rancherwife - Congrats on another little boy! I'm probably biased, but I think little boys ROCK! :D I totally hear you on how pregnancy flies by.
isobel - What cute bedding!
Aug2002bride - Sorry they weren't able to see the goods!
Sorry to anyone else I missed out there, but I'm waving hello to all of you and reading along.
Strollers - We went with a lightweight one that didn't cost a lot. We use it for walks around the neighborhood and that is about it. Otherwise, we carried him a sling or held him.
This is the one we went with...it could accomodate an infant car seat, was lightweight, and folded up pretty small. I love it! I think we are going to get something similar in a duo stroller.
theme - We went with a lamb theme in DS room. The walls are green and this is the bedding we used.
hi moms-
strollers We have the Baby Trend frame that will accept any infant seat. We used it for DD and I loved it. Currently for DD, we are using the Cosco lightweight stroller that folds up and in half long-ways. It's about 8 pounds and has a strap to carry it. I love it and it's fabulous for travel. We bought it at Target for about $65 and started using it when DD outgrew her infant seat (at 13 months). DD LOVES it. Only thing I don't much like is that there isn't a tray in front for her to set snacks and a sippy.
I'm thinking I want the Baby Trend stroller that has the spot for the infant bucket and then the step/seat for another child. DD does like to walk, but sometimes wants to ride. This would prevent having to have two strollers everywhere we go.
Themes When pg with DD, we found the cutest vintage garage stuff at Target and I told DH that we should buy it all and store it for the next baby (this one). We didn't and I'm totally sorry. But, I changed my mind with DD that the room wasn't totally ready until about 3 weeks before she was born. With having to gut the kitchen, the nursery is being put aside. DS will probably be sleeping in the pack-n-play in our room for months.:rolleyes:
usafwife I pray that all is OK with your mom. Like the other's have said, take care of YOU, too. Let us know when you can.
I suppose, I've got to get to work. I've been enjoying the SNOW here in Chicago a bit to much.
MrsSki: You're so lucky to be getting snow! I want snow, too. No sign of that here, though we're going to get down to 34 F tonight.
isobel: That bedding is cute. I like the colors.
rancherswife: I hear you, these past 4 weeks just seem to have flown by.
usafwife: I hope everything is ok with your mom.
Just a question... If you plan on Breastfeeding... Which bottles do you use as a back up or to pump, when your out and about and can't breastfeed. Just trying to update my registery.
Thanks,
Jen
E'sprincess I used Advent bottles. My recommendation to you is don't go crazy registering for bottles. My DS had such bad gas from bottles as a newborn that I went through 3 different brands before I found the one that worked. It's all a guessing game bottles/nipples etc.
MrsSki
10-13-2006, 07:53 AM
E'sprincess I only had Advent bottles. I bought the 4 oz. size specifically for the out and about's when DD was only taking 2-4 oz at a feeding. I also kept a bottle of water and some formula just in case. Of course, I would find a bathroom or sit in the backseat of the car to breastfeed before I would use the formula. But DD only BF exclusively for 4 months.
I think you could buy whatever bottles you like or prefer.
E's - I also used Avent bottles. But like stars said, I wouldn't go crazy registering for a ton because your baby might not like that kind. Same goes for pacifiers (if you plan to use them)...some babies like Nuk ones, some like the hospital Soothie kind...we went through 3 different kinds before we found one that worked for us.
Oh, I forgot to mention that DH is getting me a 3d/4D ultrasound for my birthday gift. Our appointment is for November 3! I'm so excited!
Jenjen: When's your b-day?
bottles: My sister uses Advent bottles, too. So, that's the brand I'm going to get.
I woke up today to the sound of a cartoon dog barking with music in the background. It was the game Nintendogs playing on my nightstand. DH got it and the Nintendo DS Lite for my b-day.:) I'm not sure what he was thinking, because I'm not a dog person. But he redeemed himself by also geting me Brain Age (which is much more my style).
The D&D onesie arrived today. It is so cute and tiny. I got the 3-6 month size, but boy it sure looks small.
I used Advent too and I liked them because they can be used as cups after the baby is off bottles. You just buy the sippy part and insert it where you would the nipple..you can also get handles to slide down over the bottle to make it easier to hold.
DD liked those bottles and the playtex nursers the best. I had some cheap gerber ones and she would not drink from them at all.
The paci's she was the same way with...HATED the Mam brand but LOVED the Nuks!
Happy Birthday to Elenna & JenJen, Happy Birthday to You Both!
I'm still slogging through a cold here. I certainly appreciate all the well wishes.
Our new countertop is in as of this morning and that has boosted my mood :D. I'm so looking forward to having a functional kitchen again.
Strollers I think we're going to start with a snap n' go and then buy a stroller once we have a better sense of what works for us. We may change our mind and if so I do like the Peg P3 although I'm not sure if I want to spend the money. I already have a fairly heavy stroller that a friend donated that will work for neighborhood walks. I will donate it if we get something that works all around.
Themes We're planning a dinosaur themed room. We've talked about painting a mural, but we'll see how our energy is after we finish the kitchen.
Those themed onesies are very cute. Buying baby clothing is definitely more fun than the other items for me. I have to admit I got a few dinosaur outfits that were too hard to resist. We are leaning towards the Chicco Keyfit carseat with the Snugride as 2nd choice.
Man, I had to go back 3 pages to find my last post.
And I did real replies to everyone and my frickin computer screwed up. Dang it. But I now feel more updated on how everyone is doing! Lots and lots of good bedding choices. From princessesy to vintage to animals and fish. Great pics everyone. Can't wait to see how all the nurseries come together.
As for the replies that didn't get eaten….
usaf, I hope everything is ok with your mom. Travel safe and take care of yourself!
Elenna, dressing a baby in black? Just like Angelina Jolie :) just kidding. So cute even if I don't get it at all. A fantasy theme will be soo cool. I think Lee needs a castle he can be king of! And a very very happy bday to you!!
Aug2002, sorry to hear you are still in team yellow since you actually wanted to know. But at least you get a follow-up to try and check again.
isobel, love the polka dots. And the animals seem almost circus-y to me. I'm assuming it is supposed to be a subtle circus theme. Great pick!
jenjen, are you redoing a nursery or is that what you did for Hunter and will be for the new guy also? Very cute though. One of the best ever from PB! And happy early bday to you. There are a few of us Libra's in here since my bday is on Monday.
mrsski, we had snow yesterday too. I am so not ready for winter yet.
Aloha, sorry to hear you are still fighting the cold. I hope you can shake it this weekend!
Strollers and bottles, we haven't even started thinking about it. I did order baby bargains this week, so maybe in the next week we will start to tackle that.
I had an OB appt this morning and she warned me about my weight gain. I'm up 16 pounds total, 6 in the past month, which is what concerned her. So I am supposed to keep track of what I eat for the next 4 weeks and then see if I need to worry about it next appt. So no Halloween candy for me. She also brought up the fact that it appears I have a low lying placenta. Not over the cervix, but enough that she will do another u/s at 32 weeks to reevaluate the situation. There isn't anything I can do about it and it usually corrects itself, so I'm not overly concerned. Plus it does mean I will get to see the little one again. I also got a referral for physical therapy for my back. I start tomorrow. Hopefully it will help as I have chronic back pain that is getting worse by the day.
My next OB appt is Nov 10th and will have the GD 1-hr test too.
No time for SO's, but I love, love, love the onesies.
Happy B-day to the Libras of the group!!
I love everyone's theme. Rancher if I told DH Reese's theme he would probably insist we have another boy =)
Awesome input on the strollers and bottles, I finally bought the baby bargain book!!! I'm planning to read it sometime soon.
October is so busy at work and I have my final insurance exam, for my professional designation, next Thursday. Then DH's parents are coming in for his b-day the 19th-23rd. We are still house shopping every weekend and my family is already bugging me about registering....AAGGHHH. I need time to read the bargain book before I can register so they will have to wait until November!
I need a drink, anyone else need a strong margarita? Maybe I am a bad momma for saying that, but I think Cole would understand! He is in fact the one who prevents me from sleeping by doing Tae-Bo in my stomach from 3am-6am every morning.
Off to do some house drive-bys. Everyone have a great weekend! Enjoy the cooler weather or SNOW and take care!
-Candice
P.S. DP and Bomb I will PM back on Monday sorry for the delay.
Elenna, I have a DS Lite and its SO addicting! I love playing Brain Age. I like it better than Big Brain. Love the onsie too! It's going to look so cute on Lee!
Thanks for the info on Avent bottles. I heard these were really good. I register for some and hope baby likes em.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! :)
Happy birthday to elena and jenjen
Quick post, as I have to get ready to go to Bunko w/ the girls!
bottles: I'd pump into the Medela bottles, but transfer them to the freezer bags, then defrost and the milk would go into Playtex bottles w/ the liners. We loved them and Landon never had a problem w/ them. He occasionally used the Medela pumping bottles too, that have the nipples that screw on. Those worked, just as well.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. We're busy here. Bunko tonight, Wedding tomorrow and Pumpkin Patch on Sunday!
E'sPrincess Thanks for the compliments on the bedding! I like what you've picked out too- the pink and green are very feminine put together.
Bottles- the baby nurse we've hired for the first three weeks and all my friends swear by Avent, so that's what I will be buying! They got great reviews in "Baby Bargains" too.
Elenna and Jenjen Happy Birthday Ladies!!!
aloha Yaay for getting in your kitchen counter. A dinosaur theme sounds very cute. I am hoping your cold gets better soon.
boilermaker I think I have had exactly the same weight gain, and I gained only 3 pounds the first 18 weeks! I guess I will need to watch it too. Hoping the PT helps with the back pain.
fsb I have the shallow belly-button thing going on too!
jenah Thanks for the compliments on the bedding :) I think it would work well for girls too- it has a lot of lavender and turquoise in it. Thinking about you and hope you are hanging in there.
EJS The bedding is made by KidsLine Inc. and is called "Sea Life." I looked on the manufacturer's website and they have a similar version called "Sea Quest." This one I found at Babies R Us- it's on sale right now too.
Princess Oh, a Western theme sounds really cute!
Bombera That stoller looks great, and that onsie is very cute! I found picking out the whole stroller/carseat combo thingie a very daunting task.
Janey I am going to agree with you- boys names are hard! I thought I had one picked out and now I am rethinking it. Good thing we have some time left!
usawife Hoping all is well with you and that you have a safe trip.
Aug2002 Bride Arg on the ultrasound! Hope the next one shows the goods :)
isobel nice bedding choice! I like the clean graphics.
22weeks2days
Ugh, would you believe I am on kidney stone #3? I've also developed another kidney infection. I am so over being in this much pain! I'm trying to stay out of the hospital- I've been at home the last 2 days with Vicodin, anti-nausea meds and another round of antibiotics. I am praying that they work and that this darn thing is over soon.
On a positive note- we did hire a baby nurse who will come the first 3 weeks after the baby is born. I am really excited and relieved- I will be having a C-section (the team of doctors has decided they don't want to stress my bladder out any more!) so not sure how fast I will recover and it'll be good to have the help.
Strollers: I think for the first 3 months we'll go with the Graco SnugRide infant car seat and the Metrolite stroller, because they are light and relatively inexpensive and the seat has good safety ratings, and the stroller is height adjustable (I am 5'8"). Then when our guy grows out of the infant one we will get a Britax and a Maclaren stroller. It took me a long time to figure all of this out! LOL!
Thanks, everyone, for the b-day wishes. I had a really good day.
Happy B-day, Jenjen!
la_bride: I really hope you kick that infection. I just can't imagine what you're going through. Are you going to schedule the c-section ahead of time or are they going to let you go into labor on your own, then do the c-section?
rancherswife: Have a fun weekend!
boilermaker: I hope the physical therapy works for your back.
baby bargains book: I found this book sooo helpful with demystifying all the baby stuff.
I went to the Carter's outlet last night and it was so hard not to buy all the baby clothing (I didn't buy anything because we were just killing time before our movie started). They have such cute clothes. It was made even harder because they had a sale going on. I think I might go back today and buy some.
Happy Birthday, Elenna and JenJen! :D
Re: Carter's - If you sign up for their email list (https://www.carters.com/club/login.aspx), you'll get a bunch of "20% off one item" coupons. Also what's great about them is that they have a fantastic return policy... either they'll give you $ back or store credit. So if your baby doesn't end up wearing something from there, you can take it back and get something larger. And what's great for my mom -- She can buy Girl/Boy things, and return whichever clothes end up being Not Applicable. ;) Yay for Carter's!
Everyone ~ Thanks for the thoughts for my mom and us. Things turned out that it's just a residual effect of the aneurysm rupturing. Took all day to find that out so we had a rather long two days. The night we got there it was 9 pm by the time we got to the ER. We didn't leave the hospital until after 1, didn't get in bed until after 2 am and back up by 8 am the next morning. We were at the hospital around 9:30 and sat there until basically 9 pm before we could leave. We hadn't had anything to eat the entire day so I rather sick by the time we got to start home.
Bottles ~ We didn't go wild registering or buying bottles ahead of time. We knew we'd like to try the VentAire ones and they worked for us once I wasn't able to BF anymore. Sometimes some babies don't like certain nipples (which was definitely the case with DD in the hospital...they wanted to supplement her because she lost a good amount of weight in the days following her birth but she wouldn't drink from the nipples they had - the NUK ones).
Stoller/Carseat ~ We registered for a Graco travel system with DD and were never sorry with it. We used it a ton. The stores don't carry the exact same pattern that we got but there are ones that are similar. I'll have to find a picture of it and post it. We found a double stroller (by Graco) the last time we were at BRU and are considering getting it but aren't sure just yet. It is in a similar pattern to what we already have (swing, carseat, and stroller). We didn't buy the highchair at that time and actually ended up going with a Jenny Lind style highchair and love it. It matches our dinning table wonderfully.
Kicks/Movement ~ DH was able to feel the baby kicking and moving the past few days. And the kicks are now being seen on the outside. It happened right around this same time with DD (22/23 wks).
Here is my latest belly shots. They can be included in the ID.
la_bride I'm so sorry you are going through this!!! My dad has had a chronic kidney stone problem since his early 20's. He's currently carrying 13 stones. They've started to move and he's been having some 'labor' pains, so they are going to blow them all up next month. I've seen what his episodes are like and it's so not pleasant. I hope you feel better soon.
usafwife Glad to hear that your mom is doing OK. I was thinking about you guys this weekend.
rancherswife I LOVE that onesie and hat. I've got to start looking for silly onesies for this child. Being a boy, I'm more inclined to dress him in those cute onesies that I was with DD.
Our weekend was pretty quiet. DH had drill this wee
