There's still plenty of room to get in if you haven't signed up yet.

Don't forget to make your picks this week - the first deadline is five minutes before the first game on Sat., Sept. 2. (Since the actual time varies by time zone, I'll let you check on the Yahoo! College Football Pick'em website for yourselves to try to prevent any confusion.) :)

Can't let the Aggies go without representation (whether or not it's good representation is to be determined!)

I'm Ol'_Army.

Big 12 should be interesting this year - a lot of question marks out there!

Let's get this season started!

I'm go_bucks over there...

ETA: Question for you ladies: how do you get your gameday fix? We're talking about trying to get an ESPN package so that we can watch the Ohio State games here (in Boston), but it looks like they aren't even going to be showing a bunch of the games.

I signed up! Even though Maryland is not even close to being ranked this year I can still root for the ACC (except for Duke ever)! Although I am a bit conflicted this year..I am a Kentucky fan (mom and most of the family alma mater) and Louisville (dad's school) but hubby is doing grad school at UGA. It's tough!

First home game is this Saturday against William & Mary. We'll get to see how big the Fridge got since last year :o Poor guy!

strwbrygirl Yeah another Buckeye fan!! :D Yay Big 10!!

My DH went to Ohio State, so I started wathcing them in 2002. I have been hooked ever seince. I went to WVU though, so I am an anomaly in college football, and I love my mountaineers too!

SO pysched for this weekend!!!

We're lucky that we live in the area, so if we're not going to the game and K-State is on TV, we see it. Otherwise, we usually listen on the radio. Also, I know K-State streams the audio online. Maybe Ohio State (and others) do that as well. And we basically try to watch every Big 12 game and any other big game on a given week. We're a bit addicted. ;)

I have to sit out this week. :( It was a hectic week and I didn't get on to make my picks. I'll be better about it for next weekend!

When we lived in Columbus, we were able to see all of the games on local TV when we weren't going or tailgating (I think that there would be riots otherwise), but local stations here show the ACC games instead. We were able to listen to streaming audio last year for free from TheFan (AM radio out of Columbus), but they're charging for it this year.

However, I found out that the Boston chapter of the alumni association has organized with a bar next to Fenway Park to show OSU games (available by satellite)-- however, there's also a home Red Sox game today, so it might be somewhat interesting. Going down there to get my gameday fix!

philnikki, good to "meet" another Buckeye fan! The joke in our house is that DH married me for my OSU tickets (I'm an alum)-- he's actually a bigger fan than I am, but he did his undergrad elsewhere.

I'm lucky that I live smack dab in the middle of the SEC, so unless it's a game that is only on PPV or broadcast locally, I can usually find it (although I really need about 4 more tv's to do it efficiently and without thumb cramps from hitting the "jump" button ;)!) But if I want to watch one of the PPV games, there are several sports bars and restaurants around here that have all of the satellite subscriptions, and get almost every single game imaginable. The problem with that is that I hate watching football with anyone other than my mom - people yap and yammer, and once they've been drinking, they know even less than before about what's going on (I used to manage one of those restaurants, and I've never been in a fight in my entire life, but I almost got into a physical altercation with a drunk lady who didn't know what she was talking about, and who was standing in the middle of the bar screaming. One of my servers had the good sense to come pull me away because I wouldn't have made the first move - I'm a total scaredy cat wuss - but if she'd done anything, I would not have been responsible for my actions!!). I also LOVE my Sirius - there has never been a game I wanted to hear that I couldn't find on there.

Yikes. K-State did not come out of the gate with a very good performance Saturday. We had offensive and defensive line problems, though the special teams did perform well. I'm just glad we snuck away with a win, even if the final score was a depressing 24-23. :( I hope we look better next week.

I was suprised that Miami didn't look more polished tonight. It's fun to already see two really good teams face off this early in the season. :)

I couldn't agree with you more. It was the battle of who was the least bad in that game (I know, bad bad grammer there).

Hopefully this weekend's big game will have 2 awesomely performing teams.

Don't know if this is the right place for this but I just found out..

Bo Schembechler dies

ARBOR, Mich. - Bo Schembechler, the winningest coach in Michigan football history, died Friday after collapsing during the taping of a television show, according to three Detroit TV stations. He was 77.

Schembechler's death was reported by WXYZ, WDIV and WJBK, which did not cite sources. He died a day before the second-ranked Wolverines were scheduled to meet No. 1 Ohio State in the latest installment of the century-old rivalry.
