TTCers of ConstantChatter:
Charting Our Course to the BFPs

http://www.ripleysorlando.com/images2/fertilitystatues.jpg
The fertility statues are known to work for some who rub them around the time of possible conception.
It is said that the baby is the most potent part of the statue.

So rub away! :D It's worth a shot!

Who we are:
This is a group of women using charting (temperatures, CM, CP, OPK/FM results, or a combination of these) to try to conceive and, along the way, are learning a heckuvalot about their own bodies! Many of us use a software program to keep track of our charts as well as allowing us to share them with each other. The most common ones are FertitlityFriend.com and Ovusoft.com.

Your threadmistresses for this thread are cowgirl and Chris n Jen.

To our members:
This thread gets very busy at times, so in order to keep things less overwhelming and a bit more organized, we start a new thread every month. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over. The threadmistresses would really appreciate it if everyone would post their updates in Red. That way, if we get a bit behind, it is much quicker to get the thread up-to-date.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Want to join the fun??
We welcome one and all. It doesn’t matter if you have never charted before or if you’ve been charting to avoid. I am sure you will find lots of help and support in this group.

If you would like to join, CD1 is the time to do it! That way, we can cheer you on
throughout your cycle, rather than 2 days before you test! :cool:

Please don't be discouraged by the number of posts in this thread. You don’t have to read the whole thread to join. Feel free to just jump in on the last page. Just read through these first couple of posts and post a reply with the following information and we will get you added right away. Of course, none of this info is a must but we like to know a little bit about one another.

Things I Have Learned About TTC
by WC's Sherylb

* TTC is a journey. You will discover things about yourself that you never expected. You will face fears you never thought you had. You will find joy in little things.

* TTC can bring you closer to your DH, or it can pull you apart. If your marriage is not solid, you will find out quickly.

* No one understands exactly what you are feeling at any given moment, but someone can empathize at least a little bit.

* You will experience an emotional roller coaster ride. There will be highs and lows and fast moments and slow. Sometimes you have to wait in a very, very slow moving line. You may not even get the seat you want. It is not always fun, it can be scary, but in the end it is worth it.

* "Just relax" is the last thing in the world you want to hear from someone, but it is OK if you say it about yourself.

* There will be moments when you question your own decision to start TTC. You will wonder if you should wait or if you should just give up. Those are normal. But you will get past those feelings.

* The blue and green turtle likes to pop its head out! You will hear of someone's pregnancy and turn green with envy and blue inside because it isn't you.

* It isn't fair, it isn't easy, and it isn't pretty. But you keep doing it because the reward is worth it.

* You will be your best friend and your worst enemy. Your body will
surprise you and yet disappoint you.

* Some women do get lucky and conceive right away. Others aren't so lucky and have to struggle to get there. Hope you will be in the first category, but prepare yourself to be in the second.

* Once you decide to TTC, there will be babies and pregnant women everywhere! You could swear there is a baby boom going on!

* You will have questions. No one will ever be in exactly your position, so don't be surprised when no one can give you exactly the answer you are looking for. But there are people that can contribute, so don't be afraid to ask!

* Two lines on a pregnancy test is not the end of the struggle. Pregnancy has lots of struggles in and of itself.

- Common TTC abbreviations

This is a list of some of the more common TTC abbreviations. I know as a newcomer to the TTC threads, it can be hard to keep them all straight. I hope these will help, and if anyone has any they would like added, please let me know!

•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AFNW: "Aunt Flo Not Wanted"; the day your period is expected to start, but you are hoping it doesn't!
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.
•BCP: Birth control pills
•BD'ing: "baby dancing"; baby-making intercourse
•BFN: "Big Fat Neutral" or “Big Fat Negative”; Negative pregnancy test.
•BF'ing: breast-feeding
•BRB: "be right back"
•CD: cycle day; a particular day in your menstrual cycle (example: CD1 is the first day of your period)
•CL: Cover Line; a visual tool used to separate the low (pre-ovulatory) temps from high (post-ovulatory) temps; a coverline is typically based on the temperatures 6 days prior to ovulation.
•CM: cervical mucous; one of the most useful clues your body can give you in predicting your fertility; it can range from dry, creamy, sticky, or (the most fertile) egg white/watery type.
•CF: cervical fluid; same as cervical mucus
•CP: cervical position; an optional, but sometimes really useful, fertility sign; CP will generally be low, firm and closed before and after ovulation, and high, soft and open during your fertile time.
•DD: "dear daughter"
•DH: "dear husband"
•DS: "dear son"
•DPO: Days Past Ovulation; number of days from your post-ovulatory temperature rise. (Example: 1DPO is the day after your ovulation)
•Endo: endometriosis (can be a fertility problem)
•EDC and EDD: estimated date of confinement (antiquated, but still used by physicians) and estimated date of delivery
•EPT: a brand of pregnancy test, or, generic for "early pregnancy test"
•EW or EWCM: egg white cervical mucus; the most fertile quality CM; it is slippery, clear and stretchy, like egg whites; also EWCF
•FAM: Fertility Awareness Method; the method of fertility and/or birth control that correlates the physical changes you experience during your cycle to predict when you are most fertile
•FF: Fertility Friend, an online (free, for basic services) fertility charting site (website); (could also be formula feeding; check context)
•FM: fertility monitor
•FMU: first morning urine
•FP: follicular phase; the phase before ovulation, where the egg matures in the ovaries
•FRED: First Response Early Detection (pregnancy test)
•HCG: human chorionic gonadotropin; the hormone that is present during pregnancy and what the HPT's and blood test measure to determine if you are pregnant
•HTH: "hope that helps"
•HPT: home pregnancy test; a urine pregnancy test you can take at home
•IMHO: "in my humble opinion"
•IMO: "in my opinion"
•IUI: intra-uterine insemination
•IVF: in vitro fertilization
•KU: knocked up
•LH: leutenizing hormone; the LH surge is what is measured by the OPKs; this hormone signals the egg to burst from the ovary
•LP: luteal phase; the phase of your cycle that begins just after ovulation and continues for 10-18 days, ending with the start of your next period; during the LP, your body continues to build up the lining of your uterus, and produce hormones which would support a pregnancy; this is the time when a fertilized egg can implant into the uterine lining
MBFP Mystery big fat positive- When you see a BFP in someone’s chart but they haven’t announced it yet
•NFP: Natural Family Planning; similar to FAM, but with abstinence during the fertile period
•O, Oing, Oed: ovulation, ovulating, or ovulated
•OPK: ovulation predictor kit; tests for presence of LH surge that usually precedes ovulation by 12-48 hours; these tests are quite expensive and not always accurate (if you take medication or depending on your age); these are optional when charting with FF, but if your fertility data is not clear it can bring more light and help interpret difficult cases
•OS: Ovusoft; charting software based on TCOYF
•PCOS: polycystic ovarian syndrome (a fertility problem)
•PG: pregnant
•PIAC: pee in a cup
•POAS: pee on a stick
•RE: reproductive endocrinologist
•SA: semen analysis
•SH: "sweet husband"
•SO: "significant other"
•SYS, SYL : See ya soon! or See ya later!
•TCOYF: Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler; a book and website about charting and fertility.
•TMI: "too much information" - There is no such thing when TTC!
•TTA: "trying to avoid"
•TTC: "trying to conceive"
•TTFN: "ta-ta for now"
•TTYL, TTYS: "talk to you later" or "talk to you soon"

Hey ladies. Figured I'd stop by with an update. I'm on CD 7. AF finally ended yesterday with some light spotting. I started on my supplements last night. I'm still suffering with my acid reflux. I'm on meds but nothing is really helping yet. I guess the only good thing is I'm down about 5 lbs since last week so its a great weight loss plan. LOL So I'm patiently waiting to see when I O this cycle. I'm hoping I can have a stress free cycle!! Hopefully August will be lucky for all of us.

I like posting early in a new thread. It's easy to do shout outs!:D

Congrats Sweet Red on being the first poster! I hope that means good luck.

Thanks for stopping by GymwidowI hope things are going well for you!

Kris97 a new thread is a fresh start. Good luck in your upcoming testing.

FSUsammy, Sorry about the acid reflux. It can be such a PITA! It seems like no big deal, but I know from experience that it can be really awful!

My temp is dropping so I'm just patiently (or not!!!) waiting to move on to a new cycle.

katiems118 - The spike definitely looks good. Hopefully the rest of your temps will stay up and that drop will have been because of implantation.

Welcome, DelSol!
katie- nice spike following a dip! I hope that means good things!

FSU- good luck this cycle!

tealynn- not much of a dip, really. Maybe it's not over yet!

me- CD 13, but it looks like I O'd yesterday. I had some EWCM, really for the 1st time since BC, Sunday...it was even on the tp and I have never been about to see any there! Then yesterday, I had a huge dip in temp, and this morning way up. I was Oing on CD 14 for like 6 cycles, then the last 2 I was late. This cycle, it looks like I am early! I am glad we went ahead and starting BDing!! Only 2X, but better than nothing. Since we are starting the testing next cycle I am not really hopeful for this cycle...I mean, we have had good timing just about every cycle we have tried, and nothing, so I don't thinkI am going to temp after I get crosshairs.

Welcome Del Sol, hope your stay is short and sweet!

Katiems, that is a nice temp jump! I hope we it keeps movin' on up!

Jess, it does look like you planned well w/ BD timing. Good luck w/ trying not to temp. You know, sometimes when you least expect it, things have a way of working themselves out. I really hope this is your month!

Did you all know that August is the busiest month for getting BFPs???

just kidding, i made that up but it sounded good.

I'm moving on to my 3rd cycle of trying and honestly if August isn't my month, I'm going to have to take serious measures.

Dear ChrisnJen the fabulous threadmistress, as sad as I am to say, please move me to waiting to O. :(

Welcome Del Sol, hope your stay is short and sweet!

Thank you! I'm hoping we get lucky but if not I won't be too upset, I know these things can take some time. I just hope DH doesn't get cold feet, so far he hasn't. I only tell him the information he needs to know, like when to do the BD. He wants to stay oblivious to the charting but I'm doing it to learn more about my body and to optimize our chances of succeeding right away since we aren't spring chickens.

I think I'm already behind here...

FSUSammy Good luck with the acid reflux. I hope you find something that works soon.

DelSol Welcome! May your stay here be short but sweet!

Jess71903 Horray for obvious EWCM. Seriously, I think I'd be jumping for joy if I saw it for the first time :)

katiems118 I really hope that spike means something for you.

kris97 Fingers are crossed for a BFP next week :)

tealynn I almost spit my water all over my screen with that one. But I like your thinking.

To all the rest and anyone I missed and those yet to post and myself included - let's hear it for a productive August! You know how wonderful BD-ing is when it's 100+ degrees outside ;)

P.S. AF did show up today as expected. On to bigger, better, more POSITIVE things :) My Chart (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/128004)

What the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks! :p

I posted this morning and yet am already behind. Craziness!

Welcome DelSol! Hope your stay is short and sweet.

Your chart is looking pretty good katiems! Today's spike looks really promising.

Yay for EWCM Jess! Good thing you had started BDing. Keep your hopes up, you never know. Although I feel the same way since we are beginning testing next cycle also.

tealynn, thanks for the fabulousness! :D You made me smile. I'll split the compliment with cowgirl though, since she works so hard at keeping this thread up to date also. Sorry about AF.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for me CD10. Let the BD fest begin. ;) I heard back from my doctors office today. The pap and standard STD tests all came back negitive. As was expected. But get this. I went in for CD3 bloodwork with a script that was for CD3 estrogen and CD21 progestrone. Well the stupid lab did the progestrone test on my cd3 blood. So I'm still going in for cd21 blood and then (if not preggo this cycle) will be going in for cd3 blood next cycle. It pisses me off because that may be putting any meds or whatever off by another cycle. I also found out today that my insurance doesn't cover any infertility treatments. So I'm not sure if the bloodwork is going to be covered or not. So if not, then I'm going to have to call the lab and make sure they don't charge me for the screw-up. I'm actually really confused today just thinking about the insurance.
I thought I'd re-post my msg from last night since it was at the end of the last thread:
risa00 - I hear your pain about late O'ing, we had a similar experience this cycle, but may have gotten lucky with a last ditch BD. Anyway, I hope that you have miracle sperm, hang in there!
Abirney - Good luck!!!!
Seems like we're always waiting for something!
Tealynn, you are so right about this!! I'm sorry to hear that you aren't seeing a BFP yet, how frustrating to have a deceptively long cycle w/out good results. :(
I see the gyno tomorrow for test results/planning. I'm having DH take me this time (for moral support), but I'll probably have him wait in the lobby.
Now an update for today: The Dr visit went okay. DH actually came into the appt with me (since it was just a consult) which was nice. My tests came back normal (blood work) and she's recommending that we see a RE for my luteal phase defect (not for infertility). She doesn't know any more tests to do and doesn't want us to keep trying without knowing what's wrong with me. :( She did offer Clomid and I took the prescription just in case, but we don't want to take it right now. DH is concerned that we'll end up with twins! ;)
I think we'll go ahead and make an appt with a RE, just to see what else they can do for me. Part of me just wants to keep trying to get pregnant and not to worry about the LPD. I'm also hoping that this 2ww is the one! (I'm 5 or 6dpo).
Chris~n~Jen - What a bummer about the labwork mix-up, how frustrating! I hope that you catch the egg this cycle so you don't need to re-do them!
DelSol - Welcome! Nice to see you here.
Sorry to you lovely ladies that started AF. Here's to best wishes on the next cycle!
honeygirl, thanks for relating. I think we're in similar situations. :) We had a BD in 2 days before O. My DH thinks he does have "strong swimmers" (in his terms), but I don't know if they're as strong as he hopes. ;) Looks like we might be testing around the same time. Good luck!!!
I went to the GYN today for my annual and she was sooo excited to hear that we're TTC. It made me happy. She went through every concern I had and did blood work for all kinds of different things. She as well gave me Clomid since my cycles can be in the 40+ day range so I'm looking forward to trying it. I must be one of the few because she told me a side effect of it is an increase of having twins by 5-8%. I thought that would be really neat, but again I seem to be in the minority there.
honeygirl - Have you tried progesterone cream for the LPD? Did your doc even recommend that? As for the Clomid I was offered it too at my recent annual. I told the doc I was having very long cycles 40-50 days (granted my last was only 30 so I'm improving), he gave me an Rx for Clomid and told me that I could be pg within 3 months. I did lots of research online and the chances of twins is very small. It's only about a 2% increase. I did not try Clomid this cycle since my last cycle was 30 days long. I wanted to see if that was a fluke or if my body is finally regulating so we'll see how this cycle goes. If this cycle goes 40+ then I'll start the clomid next cycle.
me - I'm on CD 8. No CM yet, but I don't expect any for another day or so really. I've been experimenting with temping vaginally AND orally this cycle. I have 2 BD thermometers, the good one goes in my mouth though LOL. I've also been experimenting with trying to find my cervix this cycle. Not having much luck though. Other than that no real changes.
Jada~ I just wanted to let you know something that really helped with CM for me. Green Tea did nothing for me, however a herb called evening primrose oil did wonders for me. I bought the 50mg ones from Target and took one three times a day. However, you want to stop taking it after ovulation because it could cause contractions. You might want to try it:)
Welcome, Foxyboo! Hope your stay is short and sweet!
I'm so far behind in this thread, that there is no use in trying to do shoutouts! I'll try and keep up better.
As for me, I'm still freakin' waiting to O. I've had a headache for the past two days, that feels exactly like the pre-AF headache I usually get. I don't know what's up with that. I checked, and I'm not spotting or anything, so hopefully AF doesn't show. I would be bummed with an annov cycle.
On a good note, my DH has had the sex drive of an 18 year old. I'm not sure what his deal is, but I like it! ;) Hopefully, it'll get us somewhere this month!
Good luck to everybody that's about to test! Sorry to those of you that AF is bugging, and as for the rest of you....CATCH THOSE EGGIES!
FSU- good luck with the vaginal temping. Let us know how it goes! I have been meaning to tell you that I love your avatar too! Beaker's the greatest!
tealynn and sweetred- sorry AF found you!
Welcome, foxyboo!!! I hope you don't have to stay long!!
DelSol- I hope your DH stays onboard! Try to seduce him when it's time without telling him that it's time! That way, you never have to mention it!
Mrs. Jackson- yay for an 18y/o sex drive! WooHoo! Enjoy it while it lasts!
Thanks for the encouragement about my EW and temp rise, ladies, but it fell back down today, so I guess no O yet. DH was really tired after work last night, so we didn't BD last night. We will tonight, though. I don't know what the EW was about, because it hasn't been back. Like I said, I am trying not to care this cycle...you ladies know how hard that is.
I'm very impatient this 2WW. I'm really hoping this is the month for us. My oldest sis asked us this past weekend when we were having kids so I told her we were trying. Jess, I know how hard it is. My hubby was not in the mood this month and then when I gave up, bam... I O'd. :) It always happens when you least expect it. Have fun tonight!
FSU, let us know if the 2 BBT show different readings.. That would be interesting to hear. And I guess Clomid is quite common since it looks like all 3 of us just got a Px for it.
Kanga, good luck to you! I know the 2WW is the hardest part but it's nice to have someone to talk with about it and root you on. :)
I give up! I just can't keep up with this thread and I do replies at least once a day. Too much! :p
Thanks girls for the encoragement. I do feel better about the lab screwing up but my fingers are double crossed that there won't even be a CD3. I've got tons of EWCM today and yesterday. I was all set to start drinking my green tea but then decided it wasn't needed. Also I got the darkest second line that I've ever had on my internet cheapie OPK. I swear I don't even know why I am still using them because I have never in the 5 cycles I used them even gotten close to a positive. Today's line was by far the darkest. I'm going to use another OPK after work and compare the lines. I may just call today's a positive though. It was really close.
Good luck to those about to test. Sorry for anyone dealing with AF. To everyone in between good luck catching the eggies!
Oh, and welcome to foxyboo!
Katiems, temps are looking good!!!
Ptcrn, I know you haven't been posting much lately but I checked out your chart today and it looks great! And very different from some of your past charts. I really have all my thingys crossed for you.
Welcome Foxyboo!
I started temping vaginally for this last cycle and I've noticed that my temps are higher. I don't know which is more accurate but I do know that people who have problems w/ accurate temps due to sleeping w/their mouth open, drinking water throughout the night (me!!!) don't have the unusual readings the next morning. Regardless, you'll still get the same temp fluctuations with either process...but you definitely need to stick w/ one or the other or your temps will be all over the board.
FSUSammy
08-02-2006, 10:34 AM
tealynn - I totally agree about picking one way or the other with the temping. I'm trying out both because I sleep with my mouth open at times and I'm trying to compare how much of a difference my charts look orally vs. vaginally.
honeygirl
08-02-2006, 11:00 AM
FSUSammy - I am on progesterone suppositories (about 3-4 cycles so far). 50mg twice a day. They have helped lengthen my LP and stop spotting, but doesn't "fix" or identify what exactly is wrong with me. :rolleyes:
I hear you on the temping issues. Lately I've been congested (so sleeping with my mouth open) and I have such a hard time taking my temp. I have to try to keep my mouth closed (after waking up) for a few minutes and then test. I tend to fall asleep though, and the whole cycle starts over again. LOL!
Welcome Foxyboo!
Okay I'm starting to think that everyone around here takes clomid. :) Thanks for the info ladies, it's good to know that the twins likelyhood is so low (I just want 1 at a time). I'm still going to wait to see what the RE says, but I won't be as freaked out if they encourage Clomid also (and I'll know what to tell DH).
I made an appt with the RE and his first available was Sept 28th! Yikes. Oh well, hopefully by then we'll be knocked up so I can cancel the appt. :) I'm a little nervous that it's a male dr, there weren't any female RE's in my area (or the state for that matter). Do they do regular exam type stuff like a gyn does?
Well, I got crosshairs, so I suppose I think I O'd. I'll probably test around August 16th if AF doesn't show first. Subscribing to the new thread....
Tealynn, thanks for checking out my chart!! I do agree it looks a little different, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I'm temping every other day to keep my obsessions down! We'll see what it is tomorrow, but with the 100 degree heat, I'll bet it will be high anyway. :rolleyes: Everything I've heard about temping vaginally says it's more accurate- but yeah, you just have to stick to one or the other because it can be different by a few tenths.
katiems118, I agree with everyone, your chart is looking good! Lets hope that was an implantation dip!
foxyboo751 and DelSol- welcome! Hope your stays are short and sweet!
armadillo, good luck at your appointment tomorrow! I'm going to see if I can get into an RE soon too if AF shows this cycle.
honeygirl, I don't know if RE's do regular exams or not, but I would guess not. I'm in the same boat, I think there may be only 3 RE's in our whole state! One of them is a woman, but I've heard she doesn't have the best bedside manner. I won't care if she can get me pregnant! :D
Chris~n~Jen, good luck catching that egg!!
Jess71903, fingers crossed that you O soon! I do know how hard it is to try not to care. I say that more and more to myself with each cycle, but it never gets easier. I think we are at about the same point in our TTC journey, so I hear you! Have you read the book, "Conquering Infertility?" Its by Alice Domar and I'm reading it right now. It's really good so far: it talks a lot about being good to yourself and describes different techniques like relaxation to help cope.
Ok, I must go to bed now! Sorry if I missed anyone (I know I did!) Our house is on the market and so far we have had 5 or 6 showings but no offers yet. We have another showing tomorrow afternoon, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! It's exhausting constantly keeping the house clean enough to show!
tealynn ~ I'm interested to see how much easier it is to see the thermal shift by temping vaginally. I've been thinking of switching myself but just not quite sure yet. It sorta skeeves me out a bit for some reason.
honeygirl ~ I'm with you, I'd rather have a female doctor. I just feel that female doctors are more sensitive to our emotions. I also just feel more comfortable talking to a women about women problems. Although I have had 2 male gynos before (when I couldn't find a women in our area). Once I got over my initial nervousness, it was fine. Speaking of Clomid ;) , I have a crazy story. A co-worker of my husband is currently preggo. She was telling Chris that she was on Clomid to concieve. She actually offered him the remaining prescription that she has! Chris actaully thought about it for a minute, he's just that anxious to have a baby. I'm like Hun, I really think this is something that we should get prescribed by my doctor. I don't think I'd use her left over Clomid. (Although I do have to admit that I did think about it for a second also. :rolleyes: )
armadillo ~ Yay for Oing. Hope you caught the egg. How was your appointment this morning?
katiems ~ Hoping AF stays away from you.
Good Luck charliezangel! Let us know when you get good news.
ptcrn ~ Good luck showing your house today. Hopefully you'll get some offers soon.
Sorry to anyone I missed (hey, I can only go back ten posts ;) ).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm excited to say that I actually saw a positive OPK yesterday. I've been using the internet cheapies but have given up all hope of ever seeing a positive. Yesterday morning I was really excited to see the darkest second line ever (although still not what would be considered positive) on my i/c. So when I got home from work I took another i/c (line not nearly as dark as that morning) and also a random Answer brand OPK that I had laying around. Well the Answer was definatly positive. So Yay, for that.

This morning my i/c had barely any second line at all and my last Answer was definatly negitive. I also haven't noticed any EWCM yet today (although I will be drinking some green tea later to see if I can get any). If I don't see any at all today then I'm going to asume that I O'd yesterday. Hopefully I'll see a big temp spike tomrrow morning and the three signs will all point to me Oing. If my temp isn't up, then I'll just be really confused.

If I did O yesterday that will be the earliest I've ever O'd. I've never O'd before CD14. Sorry for writing a book, here. For once I had something to say.

My appointment this morning was a bit overwhelming! In a good way though! The RE is just throwing everything at me, it seems like. I came away with papers for labwork for DH's SA and bloodwork, bloodwork for me for CD1-3, and stuff for my radiology appointment. I have an HSG scheduled for the 21st, which is a few days after my next period, then a sonogram and follow-up visit with the RE on the 24th. He mentioned wanting to get me started on Clomid for my next cycle, even though I'm ovulating on my own. He said there have been studies done that show that Clomid helps with fertility even when the woman doesn't have any problems Oing. During that appointment, he should have the information from all the bloodwork and DH's SA, so he can make an informed decision about what to do next.

Oh, and one thing he mentioned that I thought was interesting...he says that when you're doing an OPK, the test line does NOT need to be darker than the control line. He said to just mark down the day that the test line is the darkest, then make sure to test the next day to see if the line is lighter or gone. He said to just ignore the control line altogether.

FSUSammy
08-03-2006, 02:47 PM
armadillo - Interesting info on the OPKs. There are several of us on here that had our docs prescribe Clomid even though we were Oing. I haven't taken it yet just because my last cycle was somewhat regular at 30 days. My previous cycles were anywhere from 40-50 days long so the doctor prescribed it. I'm hoping that this cycle is close to 30 as well, if so I'm going to avoid clomid. The whole point for me to take it was to get my cycles regular again in length.

me - I'm on CD 9 and started getting creamy CM today. Woohoo! Maybe that means my body is really regulating itself. I sure hope so!!! I'm on my third day of my vaginal vs oral temping. In just 3 days I've noticed the benefits of temping vaginally. My temps are very close to one another, unlike my oral temps. We'll see how the rest of my cycle plays out.

Quick drive by just to say that my appt today went fine. I got my right breast u/s and they saw a cluster of cysts. The radiologist said that I could wait to see if it goes away (3-6 months) or have it aspirated, and I chose the latter. I figure, if I get it checked out this time and it's nothing, I can feel good about waiting next time I get one (which the dr. said was likely).

armadillo
08-03-2006, 03:36 PM
FSUSammy, that's interesting! My cycles are pretty regular, so that can't be the reason he wants me on it. He said no matter what your cycle or O situation, Clomid will help. *shrug* He's the expert, so I'll just do what he says.

Well...I was going to wait until after tomorrow which would be 16DPO+...but I had a major temp drop today. However, still not below the cover line. I'm going to give it a few more days, because last cycle I didn't have a temp drop when AF showed up and I O'ed5 days early this month. :confused:

Hoping for the best!!

foxyboo - don't get discouraged yet. Do you temp orally? If so maybe (just maybe) your mouth was open for awhile before you temped and your mouth was colder when you temped therefore giving you the low reading. Just trying to give you some hope. I guess we'll have to see how your temps do tomorrow.

armadillo:That is interesting on the OPK's. I think I may try that as I have had some pretty dark lines but never as dark as the control.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Ptcrn, temp rise today at 13 DPO, will you be testing this weekend?

Kris97 nice temp dip at 8 DPO (can you say implantation???) and then temp rise!!! It's looking good...

Foxyboo, I'm thinking you didn't actually O until CD 19. That would put you at about 11DPO and the dip could still mean good things! Also, looks like you Oed on CD 20 last cycle so it makes a little more sense.

Armadillo, I'm glad you found a very proactive RE. Sounds like they'll get you on the path to mommyhood very quickly!

FSUSammy,I feel like I've gotten better/more accurate results temping vaginally as well. All I can say is if you can't wrap your head around doing it, you're gonna have a really hard time with all the poking and prodding that comes along w/ having a baby.;)

Polkadot, Sorry about the headache and the impending arrival of the unwanted visitor!

Jess, glad the radiologist gave you a clean bill of health!

Nothing exciting here, just very crampy and crabby! I've been eating peanut butter M & M's already today. They are soooo good.

Have a great weekend everybody. I have a feeling we may have some BFP's in here very soon!

That's what I thought too...well, to be honest...I drank on the weekend of CD 16, because I normally don't O until CD 20/21. Also, my BIL passed away last month and I've been under a lot of stress, so I thought my cycle mayhave changed to CD 15...but I'm glad you are seeing what I saw in the temps!! :D :D We'll see soon enough!

Katie - I'd probably wait until Sunday to test. It looks like last cycle your LP was 11 days long, so I'd wait until you are past that (just so you don't waste a test).

cowgirl ~ No problem. I've just been doing a quite update on my lunch break since I spend my whole lunch on CC anyway.

polkadot ~ Sorry about the pre-af headache. I'll be sending "AF stay away" vibes to you!

foxyboo ~ I agree, it looks like you O'd on CD19. Good Luck!

tealynn ~ Mmmm, peanut butter m&m's, my favorite! Too bad I'm dieting and cant have any. :(

katiems ~ Fingers crossed for you! I agree you should wait until Sunday. No sense in wasting a test.

Guess what I found out yesterday..... my company is changing insurance companies. So I'm hoping that the new insurance has better fertility coverage. I won't know until September 1st when the new insurance kicks in. I opted for the best coverage available, so hoping it's better than the no coverage at all that my last insurance had.

I was so hoping to see a temp spike this morning, but nope went down a bit. So confusing because my OPK this morning didn't even have a second line. It was getting increasingly darker up until my + then yesterday the second line was faint and then today nothing. Also my CM seems to have dried up. You'd think that would mean that I O'd. I know it's possible for the CM to come back in a couple of days. I wonder if the same is true for the OPK's. I normally don't O until day 14-16 anyway, so I still have time. Just thought it was odd.

Well girls...AF showed up on CD31...right on time. Very light though (which is not normal for CD1) so I'm gonna keep a close eye on it. So...another month. DH is not sympathetic at all...he has a bacterial infection in his salivary gland so his face is all swollen. Oh well. :( :( I'll just have to try more this month!

foxyboo So sorry to hear AF showed. Grrrrrr...

Good luck to the rest that are testing soon. We need a BFP in this thread!

To touch on something Chris~n~Jen said about insurance covering infertility, my BF who works in HR told me that when I was job searching, the way to find out whether fertility treatments would be covered without actually asking if they are is to ask if the company is self-insured. If they are, it is highly likely they do not cover infertility treatments. If they are not, they probably do. I have no idea if this 100% true, but when I was job searching, I know I asked the HR reps at a few companies, and they always knew the answer to that question right away.

Nothing new here. AF just left, but with my pretty long cycles, I've probably got another 2 weeks before anything exciting starts :(

Well temperature dropped below coverline and spotting occurred so looks like AF should be arriving this afternoon or tomorrow. :( Time to go drop off the Clomid Px at the drugstore.

This sounds so dumb, but I *think* my period has arrived (perhaps its just spotting, but that almost never happens.) For now I'm counting it as CD1. I'm sorry to see others in the same boat.

Re: open mouths: I have never been fully convinced of the accuracy of my BBT, since I can take 3 temps right after another and have them be very different, and sometimes I get the same temp three days in a row. I'm a total mouth-breather, so I try to breathe through my nose for a bit before temping in the morning, but who knows if that works. The thermometer is only a few months old, so I don't think it's a battery issue, but who knows...

Has anyone else distrusted their temps? Did you get a new batter? A new thermometer? Something else?

Good luck to everyone testing in the upcoming days...

ok so i have a question....Today is day 34 of my cycle...the longest cycle I have ever had was 35 days and that was b/c of the chemical pregnancy which ended in a m/c. :( So, do you think i should test anyway just to make sure. I have no symptoms and dont feel much different....but its in the back of my head that i have tons of tests in my bathroom. I didnt temp this month b/c of my surgery and then b/c of the pneumonia...so

QOTD: Should polkadot test???

FSUSammy

kris97 - I'm a total mouth breather too due to bad allergies. This cycle I'm experimenting with oral vs vaginal temps and I'm surprised that my vag. temps are all very close to one another. Granted I've only done this for about 5 days now but if this cycle stays looking this way I may stop temping orally all together.

polkadot - I'd test tomorrow morning if AF hasn't shown up.

Just thought i'd drop by and say that I am on CD 49 (35 was my longest cycle ever, and only that once, before that always 29-30) and still no AF and another BFN. I'm pretty sure this was just an anov cycle and i'm moving on intot he next one. If I go past 61 days, i'll go to the dr.

Hey ladies... no BFP for me. :( AF showed up this morning right on schedule. Threadmistress, please move me back to waiting to O. I will have a call in Monday morning to my doctor for a referral to an RE.

polkadot, I looked at your charts and it looks like your longest LP's have been 12 or 13 days. Assuming you O'd right after your last day of EW this month, your LP right now would only be 12 days. I would wait a couple more days to test, just so you don't waste any. Good luck!

charliezangel, sorry about the anovulatory cycle. I hope AF shows for you soon so you can move on!

risa00, kris97, and foxyboo751- sorry about AF! I guess we are all in the same boat. :rolleyes: I hope next month is better for all of us!

polkadot ~ good luck with testing. Everything is crossed for you.

ptcrn ~ sorry about the BFN.

MrsJackson05 ~ yeah for o'ing!!!!

foxyboo ~ sorry to hear about AF showing.

As a follow up to the infertility treatment covered by insurance, most of the ones I have dealt with did not cover it. There are only a few states that do cover it. I believe mine only covers the testing to determine the infertility but won't cover something like IVF.

Me ~ I'm on CD 12, I usually O on CD 16, so when I should I start the BD? :confused: I defiantly plan on BDing on CD 15 & CD 16 just in case my O doesn't occur on it'd normal day.

DH's Gram isn't doing well, we had to hear from MIL that she doesn't expect her to make it to the end of the year. DH visited her yesterday and said she seemed to be doing fine, he wasn't sure what his mom was talking about. But MIL just called us and said Gram has some fluid on her lungs. Yesterday when we were driving to look at some land, I told DH I hope Gram can hold out to see your child since I know how much Gram would love to see him/her. So now if this is on DH's mind BDing won't be happening. :(

Hey ladies...Sorry I've been MIA lately, but I think I've just trying not to think about TTC at all. I didn't start re-temping until about a week ago, and I *think* I O'd Friday but won't know for sure till tomorrow's temp. If so, timing wasn't very good this month, but at least we got some in the day of O.

Polka ~ Sorry about the BFN and the migraine! I hope you feel better soon!

foxyboo, kris, ptcrn, Risa and anyone else I missed ~ Sorry AF showed. :( She just sucks.

MrsJackson05 ~ Yeah for O'ing!!

DelSol ~ My O range is from day 13-16, so I usually *try* to start the BD festival around day 11. Ideally, I'd try for every other day until after day 16 or I know I O'd, but honestly, that never happens for us. I'm sorry to hear about DH's gram. It's so hard to see our family members getting old and sick, huh? :(

charliezangel ~ Sorry about the annov cycle. Here's hoping AF shows up soon so you can get on with the next cycle.

Awww...man I thought I'd come back from vacation and see like 3 or 4 BFPs. :( I feel like I have been away so long. Don't tell me we haven't had any. :confused: Ah well, at least I came back to a new thread. :D As for me, since my RE told me that this cycle after surgery would be screwy I don't know WHEN AF is coming. My temp for the past 10 days has been kinda high (post-O 98+ range) as my body recovers but today I had my first temp in the 97 range which I assumed was a temp drop and meant AF is on the way. Problem is my surgery was CD 12 (3-4 days before I would have normally O'ed). So I was trying to figure out if this was going to be an annovulatory cycle or if surgery was just going to delay my O. I used a couple OPKs to try and figure out but they were -gative. So who knows. AF's scheduled due date if I'd never had the LAP is this Friday. We'll see...:rolleyes:

Well, good luck to those testing this week! And to the rest of ya...go out and catch that egg!

Awww...man I thought I'd come back from vacation and see like 3 or 4 BFPs.

I thought the same thing pocahontas! Sorry ladies, what a bummer, especially when it comes on a weekend!

We had a busy weekend traveling and so I couldn't temp very well since Friday. I did have some light spotting (bright pink) yesterday and a tiny bit today. I'm not sure if that means AF is coming early or it's implantation? Given my hx of spotting I'm not exactly getting my hopes up KWIM? :rolleyes:

I have a few pregnancy symptoms, but given my progesterone medication I know that's to be expected. I guess all in all I'm staying pretty :cool: so far this cycle. No plans to test, I'll wait a few more days to see if AF comes.

I got a packet from the RE in the mail. I made DH laugh while filling out some of the questions (about him). There are always more funny ways to discuss these things. IE - Instead of "Do you have difficulty with errection or ejaculation" I asked "Do you have difficulty getting it up or out". :D

I'm still hoping that I won't need the RE appt, but I'm going to be prepared. I've looked into our insurance and we have pretty good coverage, even IVF! There are limits, but it's pretty generous. That puts my mind at ease a bit.

Sorry this post is so long. Have a great start to your week everyone!

honeygirl - Question for you, the progesterone you are using is it the natural progesterone cream? Is yours prescription or OTC?Sam

It's a prescription, comes in suppository form (soft messy things that encapsulate the progesterone). It is a higher dose than the OTC creams. I take 50mg two times a day.

My temp took a dive this morning. Now, I'm not sure if I have ovulated, or I'm having an annov cycle. Any ideas?

MrsJackson - See what happens with tomorrows temp. Looking at your prior cycles you've had some temp drops after O before, and it looks like being "sticky" is your post O pattern also. Hang in there.

Hey Ladies,

Sorry for being MIA lately, things have been pretty crazy at work and home!

I am pretty sure I O'd last Friday (even with missing taking my temp this weekend). However, we didn't cover our basis very well. We participated in the Relay for Life American Cancer Society walk on Friday through Saturday, so no time to BD. Plus, after the walk we were just too tired for any BDing!! Oh well, I guess now I just wait for AF to arrive and start over.

MrsJackson05 - I agree with Honeygirl, you'll need to wait and see what happens with tomorrow's temps. Hopefully it was a false low temp and AF isn't on her way.

Me - Well ladies I'm actually anxious to go to bed so that I can wake up to see tomorrow's temp. How silly is that? I had some sharp O-like pains earlier today and I'm noticing some other O-like symptoms (breaking out, swollen labia, sensitive BBs). I had some watery CM earlier today but now its pretty much sticky so I guess its a waiting game to see if O happened today or not. If it did then man my timing was really good with getting that BDing in last night.

Waiting to O

We started to TTC back in Feb and got pg right away but I ended up having a miscarriage in March, I also had a m/c back in 2001 and I think I may have had another one back in June. AF the last couple of months has been really whacky, I've been having brown spotting for 5-6 days before AF shows up in full force and 2 cycles ago was annov. So here I am, I bought TCOYF on ebay a couple days ago and started charting last month.
Last month I drank grapefruit juice and green tea and those didn't seem to help so I bought Evening Primrose Oil and B6 to try this cycle, has anyone else taken them and noticed a difference?
One more question, is it still possible to O if you don't get EWCM? Last month I had a thermal shift in my temp and a positive OPK but never got anything more than creamy cm.

Hi ladies.. I'm back from petsitting.. way too many replies for individual s/o's so Sorry to everyone AF found! And good luck to those O'ing or testing soon!
Welcome foxyboo and kerrykate! Hope your stays are short and sweet.
Thanks for the compliment on my avatar Jess That's my Oscar boy. He's such a sweetie! Glad I finally figured out how to do that... I'll put my kitties up there in a couple weeks.

Well FF and Ovusoft still say that I O'd CD21. I'm not sure because my temps are on the low side and I'm still getting some funky CM... (usually very sticky and low CP post-O). I guess we'll see what happens... if I don't get AF by Thurs or Fri I'll test.

Welcome Kerry! Sorry to hear about the m/c. Yes it is possible to O without EWCM. I rarely have EWCM and I've been Oing. Now are you checking internally? If not I'd suggest that you do just because its quit possible that you DO have EWCM, but it just doesn't ever makes its way all the way down.

ABirney - Just curiuos (if you can remember back) did anything happen around CD 21. Like did you have a glass of wine or stay out late or didn't get much sleep? I agree that your temps are a bit on the low side to be post-O temps. I'm thinking you haven't O'd yet.

I need some chart advise!!! FF gave me crosshairs today saying I O'd on CD14, however my temps are actually going down. Plus the spike on CD15 is misleading because I had a few drinks the night before. :rolleyes: I'm also so confused as to why I would have a +OPK and my last day of EWCM on CD11 but not actually O until CD14.

My normal O date is CD14 so it is probably sorta accurate. Just need some reasurrance. :o

Mrs. Jackson - I think its a wait and see game...I'm not totally convinced of FF's call that you O'd on CD23...but don't give up hope!!

kerrykate - welcome! In answer to the EWCM question....I only get 1 day or so of EWCM if that...I tend to max out at creamy!

polkadot - hang in there! I hope you can figure out what is happening with the longrer cycle.

Sam - cracking me up. Who would have thought that taking a pg test could feel like Christmas morning/first day of school/any other event where you'd want to go to bed just to wake up!?! we just cross-posted...so to follow up, I think it's wait and see. sometimes I have a slight rise, but I don't know that I've ever dipped first. But that's me - other people have had O dips I think.

jessied1025 - I hear you about being to tired to BD. I hope you're able to relax even though things are hectic.

me - CD 15, temped this morning but I forgot to look at the thermometer after I actually woke up. DH and I have been running around alot so we're both pretty exhausted. We did have "a talk" a few nights ago, which was really good. Although we are technically TTC, we're not actively timing BD yet. We're going to Italy in November, and we'd "prefer" to wait until after we get back to really start trying, but we are both ready so we're seeing what happens. I have seen enough people that have had trouble conceiving that I figure that if we're both ready except for the Italy thing, then we should at least leave it up to nature/God. If I can't sample all of the fabulous wines of Italy, tough luck. However, I've been paranoid that DH isn't on the same page and I don't ever want to pressure him into having a baby. This is really difficult on my end, because I look at my chart every freakin day and I know when I'm fertile and when I'm not. So, I wanted DH to feel like he's on the same page to some extent, so I have little pieces of red, yellow, and green paper and I put the one on the nightstand that cooresponds with my "level of fertility," so that way, if its green, he knows its green, and he is part of the decision to BD knowing the end result could be haing a baby. motray36 - That's SUCH a brilliant idea about the different colored papers. I too and afraid of having DH think I'm tricking him into having a baby. Just like you said, I look at my chart daily so I know when I'm fertile and when I'm not. Glad you guys had a great talk though and are now on the same page.

Jen - I'd almost venture to guess that you haven't O'd yet. You need to have 3 high temps over the last 6 and I really don't see that on your chart yet.

Thanks Sam. I was starting to think that myself. When I discard CD15 temp FF takes away my crosshairs. I think I may just leave it like that. So frustrating. I normally O between CD14-16 but this cycle I had some extra stress due to my husband losing his job. These last three weeks have been horrible and I'm wondering if the stress didn't delay my O. :(

You would think after 11 cycle TTC and 6 of those charting, I'd have a better idea of what's going on with my body, but I still get so confused all the time. :rolleyes:

Courtney, I spy you! :D

I was fully expecting FF to take away my crosshairs after this morning's temp, but it didn't. My temp only went up one tenth, so it wasn't much.

Who the hell knows what's going on.

katiesms118 ~ sorry about AF :(

motray36 ~ so true! We had a good time last night. :D

MrsJackson05 ~ fingers crossed for you.

jessied1025 ~ good luck during the 2WW.

cowgirl ~ hope all is well.

FSUSammy ~ not silly at all, hope it's all good.

kerrykate ~ welcome! I hope you enjoy reading TCOYF.

ABirney ~ good luck!

polka ~ sorry AF hasn't made her appearance.

Chris~n~Jen ~ I'm new to charting so I can't help much, maybe discard the temp??

Me ~ CD 14 for me today. We had our first BD last night! I was so excited, I couldn't believe we were actually trying for a baby. We'll try again tomorrow as long as DH is ok. Tomorrow should be the day before I O so we really need to get some BDing in then and I'll throw Thursday in for good measure. ;)

ChrisnJen, I agree with FSUSammy that you probably haven't O'ed yet. I'm guessing your stress may have delayed it. But with that temp dip today, maybe you're gearing up to O...

Abirney, those are pretty low post O temps, and w/ your CM still being described as EW, it's hard to think that you have O'ed but you also have had some previous post O temps that were low so...basically I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Welcome KerryKate!

Motray, that's a great idea with the colored paper. I should probably do that w/ my moods so my hubby's got a heads up. "Today is code orange baby!"

Delsol, BDing when you're trying to conceive is very exciting and scary all at the same time. And then there's the other end of the spectrum which is trying, and trying and trying to conceive and nothing's happening. It can be very overwhelming too. It's a roller coaster ride of emotions!

I'm just waiting for the BD fest to begin. It'll probably be at least one more week so I'll just hang out and cheer everyone else on!

Good luck to all those testing soon!

Hi, ladies. :) I've been lurking for a few months now. Been in the TTA thread since last fall and have learned a ton from those knowledgeable gals about charting (although I still feel like I have a lot to learn to get anywhere near as wise as they are). Anyways, DH and I were going to wait until September to TTC but we recently (as in a few days ago) decided to just go for it now. We're both ready and it works out well with our work/academic plans. So...I know we're not supposed to join until CD1, so I'm fine if you don't add me until next cycle if this one doesn't work out for us. I would have joined at CD1, but we didn't make this decision until very recently. But I'll post my info anyways:

Me: SQ2/28
DH: 28
Married since: August 2004
Off BCP since: November 2005
TTC since: August 2006
Charting since: November 2005
Known issues/test results: None
Chart: http://www.ovusoft.com/forum/chart.asp?id=sq2
Current status: waiting to O

One thing I'm having a lot of trouble with right now is telling the difference between CM and semen. (http://www.constantchatter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23276) I think I might be gearing up to O, but who knows. My cycles have been so whacky and irregular since going off the pill I can't be sure. Here's the catch though (and why, I think there's a good chance I will be around next month), DH and I leave at the end of this week for separate vacations to visit our families. I really hope I can O before then (or close to then) and *maybe* catch the egg this month. Otherwise, we won't see each other for 2 weeks and unless I have a delayed O like the last two cycles (mostly due to anxiety, stress, and travel), I doubt we'll get lucky. I'm trying to just prepare myself to start trying next cycle and just have fun with it this cycle. From what I've read the TTC journey can be long and difficult for many people and I want to prepare myself for that if necessary.

Anyways, it's great to be here finally! :D

That is very true. While everything was going on last night, I was thinking "OMG we are really doing this". My emotions got the best of me at the end and I had tears in my eyes because I was excited & scared at the same time. Hopefully I'll be more in control tomorrow.

Welcome SQ2!

motray36 ~ great idea about the different colored paper. I might have to try that after a few months of trying and we don't succeed, this way DH knows he needs to DTD those nights.

Katie ~ Sorry 'bout AF. :(

Honeygirl ~ Too freaking funny about your version of the RE paperwork! That had me cracking up! How awesome about your insurance coverage (if you need it! hopefully not, though!).

Numberlady and DelSol ~ Have fun with the BDing!!!

Sammy ~ Good luck catching that egg!

Motray ~ I'd totally be lost without my cell phone waking me up in the mornings!! I'd also go nuts if I didn't O until day 26! Kudos to you for being so patient!! I LOVE your colored paper idea!

MrsJackson ~ Looks like your May cycle had temps similar to this one, too. I wouldn't have actually called O until CD30 on that cycle. Maybe this one will be the same? Or, maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about! :p

Jessie ~ Yeah for O'ing, and ya never know...you *could* have caught it with the BD on Tuesday...right?

KerryKate ~ WELCOME! Hope your stay is short and sweet! And, btw, your DD is SOOOO freaking cute! I love her red hair!!

ABirney ~ Hope petsitting went well! :) I'm surprised FF gave you an O date...I definitely thinking that you haven't O'd yet, especially with the fertile CM coming later and the lack of temp shift. Sorry!

Polka ~ So sorry about all the BFNs. :( Hopefully AF will show soon so you can get on with the next cycle!

Chris-n-Jen ~ I agree with the others that you probably haven't O'd yet...but, see what tomorrow's temp is.

SQ2 ~ WELCOME!!

As for me, could you move me to "Think I O'd, testing 8/28 - 9/2 (or the range that best fits that? ;) )"

Gotta go...DH is getting impatient to start our show! ;)

I have been MIA for a while, this whole charting thing hasn't been going too well for me, my temps have been really wacky and my CM isn't following any type of pattern. I *think* I O'ed on CD 18 or 19 but that is only if I discard a couple of temps that were taken at weird times.

Anywho, I won't even attempt SOs but hope you are all doing well and hope to see some BFPs real soon! I promise to be a more frequent poster!

Not even sure when I should test, I am guessing this cycle (first off BCP) is going to be about 33 or 34 days, is 10 days DPO too early to test?

Hi ladies..
FSUSammy let's hope it's O pain and your temp jumps tomorrow!
polkadot that sucks about the BFN's and the long cycle... hopefully you'll find out something one way or the other soon!
chris-n-jen see what the next few days bring before calling O. Hope your DH finds another job soon!
motray that sucks about forgetting to check the temp. Good idea about the colored paper! Also going to Italy sounds so fun!
MrsJackson a tenth isn't much, but at least your temp was up!
DelSol yay on your first official BD! It's so exciting isn't it! Hopefully you'll catch the egg soon.
SQ2 Welcome! Hope your stay is short and sweet!
MrsPell yay for O'ing!
Cath sorry to hear charting isn't going well for you. Hopefully things will get easier as you go along!

Well as for me I'm still plugging along. Ovusoft is saying with that O date I should get AF tomorrow but there is no sign of her.. (I usually spot a few days before) and I'm not having a singe pg symptom. I am agreeing with all of you that I didn't O yet. I really hope it's not another annov cycle... I am so sick of those!!! The meds seemed to be helping for a while there... hopefully there's still hope!

FSUSammy

Cath2005 - Are you temping orally or vaginally? My temps have been wacky since I sleep with my mouth open at times. This cycle I started temping both ways to see which one works out better for me in the long run. If you are temping orally you might want to consider temping vaginally your next cycle you'll find more consistent temps. As for your question, if you have a link to your chart maybe we can all help out and see if you really did O. Could be that you are having a delayed O or even an anovulatory cycle.

polkadot - When are you thinking that you might test?

ABirney - Annovulatory cycles do suck! I've had a few of them and they just confuse the heck out of you. Don't give up until AF shows though.

Me - I'm on CD 15 and my temp did not jump this morning. So maybe tomorrow it will jump? I sure hope so. I couldn't get DH to BD last night. He was so tired that his eyes were even red. If I O today then there is still a chance of catching the egg, but if not I'm not going to be totally disappointed because we were officially going to start TTC in September, but stopped avoiding in July so it wouldn't be a huge disappointment.

I'll second that thanks for the welcome! :D Looks like I have a couple cycle buddies also on CD 15. ;) I seriously have no idea what to expect this next week. I feel like I'm getting myself all excited that I might be O'ing before I leave tomorrow, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Just trying to keeping telling myself that it won't happen this cycle and to prepare myself for that so that I won't be disappointed when it doesn't and pleasantly surprised if it does. I don't know how much I trust my CM observations this week since it's been hard to tell what's what if you KWIM. BUT, I have occasionally been checking my cervix. At the beginning of my cycle I wasn't sure because I didn't really have anything to compare it to but a couple days ago I was pretty sure it felt a lot softer than right after AF. Who knows. It's all a guessing game for me, but we've been BD'ing like crazy this week just in case. Hey, at least it's fun! ;) :D

Hi everyone....

We have a whole lotta waiting to O's...and it's already Aug 9th!

MrsPell - Yes, not O'ing until CD 26 stinks! My earliest ever was CD 18...which still stinks!

Cath2005 - I'm sorry your charts are being wacky...that often happens first cycle off of BCP, so don't lose heart! I'd also wait until 12DPO to test...if you can wait!

polkadot - I'd be losing my mind right now if I were you!! I'm so proud of you that you are playing it :cool: !

katiems118 ~ couldn't agree more.

ABirney ~ Thanks! It's very exciting to think we are making a baby or atleast trying to. I hope you don't have an annov cycle.

me ~ CD15 one more day until I O. Tonight should be another night of BDing. DH's unemployment hearing is this morning so I am hoping & praying everything goes well for him and us. This will determine if we need to repay the unemployment. *Fingers Crosses we don't*. DH talked to his mom and Gram isn't doing well, she is now experiencing some heart problems. They moved into the Heart Care Unit and are giving her some drugs to see if they can get her heart to pump better if not they may give her a pace maker. We also got a message from MIL that she was doing a bit better since DH talked with his mom. DH will visit Gram on Saturday, my INLs live about 1 hour and 45 minutes North of us. I won't be going because my BIL is having a surprise party for my sister's 30th birthday. DH is coming home Saturday night since my birthday is Sunday.

Last night I went to my water aerobics class, I had a good time. Chatted with some people there and we went into the whirlpool, I don't know if that's allowable if we are trying but I didn't sit in it, I just positioned myself in the corner where I was kneeling on the seated area. I'm tall so I was able to keep most of my body out of the water. I know DH can't go in because it will kill the boys but wasn't sure about us girls. I was only in there for 10 minutes.

I really hope you get some answers soon Polkadot. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be. Keep us posted.

Sending Anti-AF vibes your way ABirney.

Good luck catching that egg FSUSammy.

Yay for massages cowgirl. Also hoping you catch that eggie.

DelSol, I hope your husbands unemployment hearing goes well. So sorry to hear about DH's Gram. I've heard that hottubs aren't good for the boys when trying to TTC but I don't really know about us girls either. We have one in our complex and I do get in it more frequently than I probablly should.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had a bit of a temp spike this morning. Hopefully it will keep going up and I will have O'd yesterday. Time will tell.
I was thinking that maybe we should put our cycle day and dpo (if past o) in the subject line. It seems there are a lot of us around the same cycle days and it would just make it easier to keep track of cycle buddies. Does this sound like a good idea?
honeygirl - 14dpo...where are you?? when are you testing?? we need a BFP!!
motray36- Thanks for checking on me. :) I'm hanging in there and still keeping :cool: . I haven't tested yet (can you believe it, I deserve a prize) and don't know when (if) I will. I should be testing today (14dpo) b/c of my progesterone. I'm supposed to stop taking it after 14dpo if I don't have a BFP. I'm pretty sure that we're not pregnant b/c my temps are dropping (although not a lot yet) and I've been spotting the last few days. I just don't want to see a BFN. I think I'll stop the progesterone after today and just wait. If I get AF then fine, if she doesn't come in 2-3 days then I'll test. That's the plan and I'm sticking to it. :)
Welcome Kerry and SQ2!
Threadmistress - please move me to "Waiting to O." I'm not a patient person and this TTC stuff is killing me. I was out sick yesterday with cramps and HEAVY AF so of course my boss asked me today if I might be pregnant. I started tearing up when he asked and I had to say no. I think he has a pretty good idea now that we're TTC. Apparently his oldest daughter is also TTC and not having any luck. At least now I won't have to hide it from him if we go in for testing in another few months.
Well, I've been MIA for a bit as work is getting busy these days.
I am currently 3DPO and would like to be moved to testing 8/21 -8/25 or whenever. Not much else going on. I want to give a big RAVE for the CBEFM. It was good money spent! My cycles are kind of long and it has been able to catch O for the past two months. Much less stress than trying to keep BDing until I O on CD28! That's a lot of BDing!
If this cycle's a bust, we're going to go in for preliminary IF testing (CD3 b/w for me and SA for DH, fun stuff). Then if we pass, it will be HSG and clomid for me the following month. I'm getting excited that we have a PLAN!
All the talk in here about temping vaginally is making me think about switching next cycle! I NEVER thought I'd be doing that, but then again in the beginning I didn't think I'd be checking CM either. ;) I've come a long way.
So how does one go about doing temps vaginally? How far does it have to go in? Do you all use alcohol wipes or something in-between days to keep it clean?
Ah the things we go through to get pregnant!!!!!
honeygirl, I switched after about 10 cycles temping orally and my temps weren't as erratic. Just put it in about as far as it would go in your mouth. I cleaned mine with alcohol wipes in between. Just make sure that you label it so you don't use it orally in the future! ;) Good luck!!
So, I took another test this morning....BFN....although I expected it.....I called the doctors office and finally was able to get the nurse on the phone....of course my doctor is out of town until Monday, the nurse said that he would probably want me to take another test and then if it was negative give me a RX for progestrone (which I already have) and i would take a pill twice a day for ten days and then I would have a period. She said I could make the decision to either take the progestrone or wait to see the doctor on Monday. So, I hung up with her and immediatly started to cry...of course when I called my mom she didnt have time to talk to me b/c she was eating dinner and had to hurry up so she could take my sister the one who is PG to the ER b/c she was having back pain and thinks she might have a kidney infection. Yeah well, if ya didnt smoke and drink Coke all day maybe you wouldnt have all those problems....**:rolleyes:** I am hating my sister lately and I know its b/c I am jealous that she is 7 weeks away from giving birth and thats exactly where I would be at this point. UGHHHH I am at a loss about what to do...I am just so confused...
I think I may call my primary care doc tomorrow and just see if she can do a beta test or at least poke around and maybe find out what is going on....
ChicagoKate - Got a question about your CBEFM (I'm considering buying one myself). Did you have any peaks on your first cycle using it. I heard that sometimes you don't since its getting used to your cycle. Also where did you get yours. I've heard a lot of people get theirs off of ebay.
honeygirl - When I temp vaginally I push it as far as it will go. LOL You'll know when to stop. Afterwards I wipe it clean with my alcohol wipes.
polkadot - Sorry for all the grief, especially with the BFN. Hopefully you can get a doc to do a test to check your levels.
Me - Well I'm on CD 16 and STILL no temp spike. I almost bought some OPKs last night because I wanted to see if I was getting close because I've been having o pains for 3 days now. But I resisted, stupid me!!! I almost got some Bding in last night but DH got a bit excited too early. :( Oh well I'll have to try again tonight.:rolleyes:
Don't know if we should do more BDing tonight, I am tired though and my tummy was bothering me yesterday but I managed to still BD. I guess it's just a waiting game now.
Check that out! No wonder I was hot, hot, hot all night last night. :rolleyes:
But, I do have the usual pre-AF headache today. Not going to get my hopes up to high.
I dropped out for a month since DH was away during the fertile time, and I needed a break, but now I'm back! Threadmistress, could you please move me to "waiting to O"? And when you get a chance, I just turned 32 and thus my age should be updated also. Thank you!
Please tell me that 32 isn't too old to get PG for the first time? I don't know how old everyone else is, but I feel old. Not old for life, just old for TTC.
CD11 for me, and we're in the BD fest. I had some weird cramps during last AF and I think the endo might be back, so please cross your fingers that I'm not all blocked up. My next annual GYN isn't due until November, so I'm not sure my insurance will cover a gyn visit earlier, even though my dr. told me to come back if we don't conceive within 6 or so months (which would be October, so I guess it's not that big of a difference).
I'm glad for me/sorry for you to see some of my old June buddies here...I hope we all get BFP's soon and move on to PG threads! :)
Hi everyone...
cowgirl, SQ, FSUSam, and Motray Hope you guys O soon and catch the egg!
DelSol Hope Dh's gram is ok. Good news on the unemployment stuff! and hope you caught your egg.
sunshine good luck and let us know when you get your BFP.
honeygirl bummer about the spotting. Hope AF stays away though.
kanga sorry about AF.
ChicagoKate yay for O'ing! Glad to hear the monitor is working for you.
polkadot hope they figure out what's going on soon! That sucks about your sis, sorry you are having to deal with that.
MrsJackson that is quite a jump! Hope your headache goes away.
j*east welcome back! Hopefully the endo isn't back. And 32 is not too old! I'm 31, and trying for our first. And I know there are others who are alot older!
As for me, I emailed my dr this am to see how long I should wait before getting a prescription for Provera to kick-start AF and get going on my next cycle. (Grrr with annov cycles!!!) But I got an automated reply that he is out of the office until Monday. So I guess I'll have to wait until then to find anything out. I did test this am just to be sure and of course it was Neg.
Temp went up a little bit today making it my highest temp this cycle. I'm hoping tomorrow is even higher and FF will give me crosshairs saying CD17 was my O day. I guess we'll see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
mrs_pell, your original test date was funny. As soon as I updated the front page I was saying to my DH that it couldn't be right. I've been having a lot of those "what was I thinking" moments lately. :D

FSUSammy ~ Sorry you haven't gotten your spike yet. I know how frustrating it is when your expecting something to happen and it doesn't. I hardly ever got a + on an OPK (I think a total of 3 in 11 cycles). So don't feel bad that you didn't get them, to me they just confuse me even more. Like getting a + on CD11 but not Oing until CD17 :rolleyes: .

montray ~ Calm down girl! You can't wear yourself out like that. ;) Your post cracked me up. Hopefully the soreness wears off soon so you can keep calmly BDing.

DelSol ~ I would BD just for good measure tonight anyway. Good luck catching that eggie.

MrsJackson ~ Yipes temp spike! Lookin' good. Hope your headache goes away soon.

j*east ~ Welcome Back! I dont' think 32 is to old. I hope not because we will be TTC #2 around that age (28 now).

ABirney ~ Sorry about the annov cycle. Frustating that your doctor is out of town.

Sorry to anyone I missed. Good luck to all!

FSUSammy, I know, my mom had her youngest at 42...I just worry about myself!

ABirney, sorry about the annov cycles. :( Frustrating!

DelSol, happy early birthday! Mine was Tuesday. We'll get PG together. :) Oh, and good luck with the seduction scene tonight.

Chris~n~Jen, hope you see the crosshairs soon!

Me~this is the earliest I've had fertile CM in my cycle, so we started BDing early. I hope I O soon, but I told DH to be ready to go through Monday (my usual O day)...and it's only Thursday...yikes! I think in the past we started to early and could have used another day or two, but were too tired. We'll see.

Good luck to all!

Welcome back J*east. I think I'm on the same cycle as when you left. ;)

Well, I had to test. I realized last night that I'm supposed to stop the progesterone after 14DPO, but only if I have a BFN. So, I had to POAS this morning (dr's orders). I really didn't want to, but I didn't want to stop the progesterone and then m/c! I talked to DH about it last night first (after starting to cry for NO reason) and he said to take the test already!

I got a BFN. I'm okay with this b/c I was pretty much figuring we weren't pregnant with all the spotting. I figure AF will come in about 1-2 days, hopefully sooner than later b/c I want to get onto the next cycle already!

The only thing that has me wondering a little is that my temp went up this morning. Not a lot, but it is up. I still have a glimmer of hope I guess. :o

I'll keep you ladies updated.

Honeygirl - I'm holding out hope for you.
j*east - So funny that you keep DH updated on the times to BD. I do the same and now DH has started to ask me when it's time. And I hope 32 isn't too old, because I am the same age (but DH is even older...alot older:eek: )
ABirney - Boo for BFN!
DelSol - Good luck catching that eggie...I'm playing the same game;)
Polkadot - I'm so sorry you are going through that with your sister. That must be really difficult. I hope your doctor can give you some answers.

As for me, I had a temp spike today, but still having watery CM and some possible O pains, so I am hoping that the temp is off because I woke up so late. DH and I need that extra day:)

I'm copying this from a thread a started in the Family Planning Threads. In hopes of finding any insight to what's going on! TIA!

Okay, so this may be a weird question, but it's recently popped into my head, and I'm trying to find any reason possible as to why we're not pregnant yet. We've been trying for almost a year, (in October) and I have never been pregnant.

Once in awhile, DH will get swollen lymph nodes on his groin area. I've been trying to do some research on them, but basically only came up with a scientific name for the lymph node, and no answers to the questions I have. The name I found for the lymph node in the area that gets swollen on DH is Superolateral Superficial Inguinal Lymph Node.

I'm wondering if this can effect his fertility in anyway? I can't find anything online, so if someone knows of anything, please direct me to it....

Could it be putting pressure on a important tube? Could it be discreeting somthing that's killing sperm? I have no idea, honestly. I thought maybe someone would have an idea.

He had fathered a child in a previous relationship, but I'm not sure if the lymph node issue came up before or after she was conceived. Since it was almost 5 years ago, he's not sure either.

I know we should probably just get it checked out, but it's not swollen right now, so can docs do testing on it?

FSUSammy
08-10-2006, 03:22 PM
honeygirl - I'm also still holding out for you. Maybe that spotting was implantation LOL ok I know I'm grasping at straws now.

MrsJackson05 - Sorry can't help but maybe he can call his doc up and ask. I'd tell them that its not swollen now but you guys are worried that it might be affecting his spermies. Can't hurt to call. Let us know what happens.

Me - I've had some more EWCM today. I resorted to buying some OPKs after work. I took one test already and the test lines is there but is lighter than the reference line. So that means I have more time to catch the egg. Woohoo! Not a lost cause. Maybe I can jump DH tonight!!!

Ladies,

Today is 8DPO and I have light brown spotting, my temp was 98.6 today (the highest since O), FF is putting it as the start of Cycle 2, could it be implantation spotting do you think? Seems weird that it is calling it as AF when my temp is still so high...

Hey ladies. Quckly stopping by before heading to a second interview at work.

I'm on CD 17 today. I had a definite temp spike this morning. I did take an OPK yesterday and it was negative so I'm wondering if my timing with the OPK was off because of taking it the same day I was ovulating? I'm going to take one later today just to make sure its still negative. I did have AWFUL O pains yesterday afternoon right after I took my OPK.

:( DH wasn't in the mood last night so no BDing for us. This put more determination into me to find a article on what needs to be done while TTCing. I was upset last night because yeah I was tired too but I was willing to do BD last night. I'm not feeling too confident that this was our month but we will see.

I just checked FF and put a fake temp in for tomorrow and FF is saying my O day was on CD15, if that is the case then we did BD that night. I had some make ovulation pains last night so know I'm guessing when O occurred either on CD15 or CD16.

FSU Sammy ~ good luck with the interview!

I'll be back later on for SO's, need to get 2 offer letters done and answer a few questions that just popped up from an employee.

Chris~n~Jen

Yay, temp went up again this morning. Now FF is calling my O date at CD17. So I'll be testing 8/19 (my mom's b-day). I'm hoping that will bring me good luck.

Cath2005 ~ It could certainly be implantation spotting. I believe the only way FF would start another cycle is if you entered something more than spotting in the AF (sorry can't remember the spelling of the actual term) dropdown. It won't start a new cycle if you just put spotting, but it will if you select light, medium, or heavy. I wish we had the link to your chart so I could see what you are talking about.

Sorry about DH not being in the mood DelSol. We had a lot of issues with this when we first started TTC. Guys just think it will happen and don't realize that the timing is so important. If you skip a couple days, you may miss out on that whole cycle. It took DH a while to understand that. I started printing a monthly calendar from my outlook where I would color code the days that he needs to be "on-call". I usually print it out on CD1 or CD2 and code CD10-18 as BD Fest. Then I put it on our refridgerator. That way he has plenty of time to prepare himself. Now he starts to bring it up to me. He'll say "tomorrow we start BDing" with a big smile on his face. It's cute now. Hopefully you'll figure out what works best for you guys so that there isn't any hurtfullness. :)

honeygirl, hi! Sorry about the BFN. I hope AF comes quickly, if she's coming...I hate that waiting when you think you're done, but you're not sure, and you have a *little* bit of hope, but what if...ugh. And if not AF, bring on a BFP! :)

numberlady, yeah, DH specifically asked me to be very clear and communicative with him about what's going on, that it's our project, not my project. I was worried about giving him TMI when we started, but now I tell him everything and it's much better. I don't feel like I'm handling TTC alone or trying to trick him into anything, KWIM?

MrsJackson05, I have no idea about that. I know women may get a tiny swollen lymph node (pea size) when ovulating (according to TCOYF), but I don't know that men have anything like that. I'd get it checked out. Most of the stuff that men have to go through (short of surgery) really isn't too bad.

FSUSammy, I don't think you entered today's temp on your charts yet. If it's 97.9 or over, it's probably O, but you won't know for sure for a few more days. I hope you caught the egg!

polkadot, hope your dr. visit went well and you come back with good news!

Cath2005, light spotting 8DPO could be implantation, esp. with a higher temp...or AF. FF shouldn't enter it as a new cycle unless you choose "heavy" under menses. At least that's how it works with mine. I just got here, so I don't know if you just went off the pill, but that could result in a shorter cycle. Also, not everyone has a temp drop before AF. Mine stays above 98 for a day or two into AF. I've read that it's because my body is still reacting to the progesterone from the 2WW. Hope that helps a little.

DelSol, sorry about the BD timing. I don't know how long you've been TTC, but the first month or so is rough as you and your DH get used to BDing on schedule. I agree with Jen--you'll work it out over time and it will get better. Also, browse the PG charts in FF sometime and you'll see some amazing charts of people who BDed once or twice and got PG. It's amazing and inspiring, esp. when you miss a day or two.

Jen (is it OK if I just call you that?), so cute about your BD calendar! I hope the 19th is a lucky day for you. :)

Me~still BDing. :)

ETA ~ CD 17

Hi, ladies. I'm going to attempt some shout-outs. Forgive me if I miss anyone, I'm on vacation with my family back home so I don't have a lot of time.

Chris~n~Jen: Hooray for O! Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

DeSol: Sounds like your BD was well timed. :) I don’t think 32 is old at all for TTC.

Cath2005: Spotting plus high high temp sounds like good news. Hope this is it!

Polkadot: Good luck with calling the doctor!

numberlady: Looks like your temp went down a little so maybe you got the extra day?

Honeygirl: How frustrating. Well hopefully your temp will either go back up or AF will arrive so you can move on to the next cycle. I hope one or the other happens soon for your sake.

J*east: BD is tiring isn’t it! (But it’s fun too.) Keep your stamina up and hope you get that egg!

Abirney: My doctor says if I have cycles that are 90 days long to call her. My last cycle was 93 days but I knew that I O’d and AF showed up on her own. Hang in there!

* * *

Where I'm at...

Well, as you can see by my chart, DH and I had a major BD fest this week in hopes of catching the egg before I left for my trip (including a quickie before leaving for the airport...;) ) I'm a bit worn out. :D I have not O'd this early since I started charting but like I said before, I don't really think I have a normal time to O that I can tell so anything's possible I guess. It was hard to figure out CM this week because of all the BD-ing, but I did my best and I'm pretty sure things are accurate since I waited a full day after BDing to check (bedfore BD-ing again).

I'm really hopeful that I O'd within the last few days. I can't update my chart anymore since I don't have my computer with me and Ovusoft doesn't let you online, but... My temp this morning was 97.45 (97.5 according to Ovusoft) at 6am Pacific Time. I usually take my temp at 6am Central time so this could be inaccurate. But, I went to bed really late last night and was stressed from traveling all day yesterday so who knows. Maybe I should just ignore today's temp? Had major EWCM yesterday. Plus, what I thought were O pains all day. I had some pains on my left side on Wed. that lasted a few minutes but then all day yesterday I had a dull aching cramp on my left side.

What do you guys think? Did I O? Were those cramps I was feeling the last couple days O pains or just gas. ;) If I O today or tomorrow, will our BD yesterday morning still be good? Sperm can live up to 3 days in fertile CM, right? I'm so hopeful that we timed this right but I don't want to get my hopes up. I know I should just wait and see what my temps and CM do. Thanks, ladies. :)

Hey ladies. Mid-day update.

I took another OPK about 20 minutes ago and it was negative as well. The line was even lighter than yesterday's OPK. Now I just want the day to end so that I can temp in the morning to see if I really did O yesterday. If I did O yesterday there is a SLIM chance that we caught the egg. The last we BD'd was on Sunday night (12:30am Monday) so not sure if his boys would have been able to last this long. I'm going to try my hardest to get some BDing in tonight just in case the temp spike today was a bad one.

Welcome back Welcome back J*east! Hopefully this will be your one and only month!

Cath, that easily could be implantation spotting (usually occurs between 5DPO and 11DPO) Revise your information on that date and it should take away the new chart it started.

Del Sol, One thing you can be sure of is that if your cycle was regular before you started TTCing, suddenly it won't be. Don't assume your O date these first couple of cycles. I'd still try to get a BD in tonight if you can. And if it isn't your cycle, then maybe you should wait a little longer to start the BD next time. Also, spread it out to every other day if you need to.

FSUSammy, it's SO frustrating not knowing WTF up! Take another OPK tonight and see what it says. I know those things can be tricky so read the instructions very carefully. There's probably a thread about them, maybe on the first page of this thread. Here's hoping that you already O'ed though!

Honeygirl, Sorry about the BFN, that definitely sucks. Especially when you wouldn't normally have tested. But you really have to w/ the progesterone.

Mrs. Jackson, from what I understand MANY things can cause lymph nodes to swell from viruses that are harmless, to viruses that stem from STDs (think Herpes), to the onset of cancer. They are sort of a red flag for your body telling you there's something wrong. I don't want to make you nervous because it could something really minor, but I would have your DH get them looked at the next time they become swollen.

What a great day to test ChrisnJen, I hope it's good news for you!

Sorry if I missed anyone! I know I won't O for another week at least so I'm just hanging in there. Hope everyone has a great weekend and PLEASE let us have some BFPs on MOnday!!!!

Thanks, ladies for the input. I actually talked to DH a little about it last night, and mentioned that it *could* be hindering our ability to conceive. I think that maybe that lit a fire under his butt, because he wants to be a daddy asap! ;)

Best wishes to those of you still waiting to test/BD'ing. It's always a little tough to hang out in this thread right after AF appears, but I'll be back to cheer you all on soon! :)

BTW - Want to hear something funny? I'm "teaching" some of my friends how to chart tomorrow. We're having a "fertility party" b/c none of them knew about charting (as birth control). I kind of wish it wasn't at this exact point in my cycle that I had to discuss all this, but oh well!

Ladies, I'm just in such a sad/depressed mood. I figured someone would have had a BFP already this month. I just got an email from my friend today and she said she's pregnant and is due the beginning of March. I'm sooo thrilled for them, but at the same time it makes me sad that we are still trying. This is my third day of Clomid and the good news is that I don't really have any side effects.. except maybe this one down time right now. But that could be that my friends and mom keep asking me when we're trying and if I'm pregnant, etc. *sigh*

Jen ~ Thanks, I guess it's hard when you first start out, you want to succeed and when the other doesn't want to BD, you get really let down. I think I'll be looking into printing out a calendar and telling him what needs to be done when. I found one article, not the best but maybe he'll get the jist. Good Luck with the blood work.

j*east ~ This is our 1st month so it's very new to us both, I've been reading up on TTcing but he doesn't have a clue. DH is on some meds that lower his sex drive so I know we'll probably never be the couple that BD every day. But I' m holding out hope my O occurred on CD15 instead of CD16, I've always had normal cycles so we shall see.

SQ2 ~ Thanks, I hope it was well timed. You lucky girl for having a BD fest. :D

tealynn ~ Thanks, my cycles have been pretty normal. I thought I did a good job of spreading BDing out, I just wanted to get a BD in last night for good measure.

Honeygirl ~ sorry it wasn't your month. That's funny you are teaching some of your friends about fertility - can you teach my DH also? :p

risa00 ~ I'm sorry you are in a sad/depressed mood. I hope it gets better for you. Good Luck with the Clomid. I hope we get a BFP from someone soon!

cath If you just entering "Spotting" into FF, it shouldn't move you into the next cycle. The timing is good for implantation spotting, though!
honeygirl So sorry AF showed.

Me?

I am having my "weirdest" cycle to date. My temps are SO even. Not that my temps are too wacky to begin with, but this is just so strange.

My Chart (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/128004)

I know my thermometer is still working OK because I've tried it at random times of the day and it does come up with very different temps. My O day has ranged so far from CD21 to CD38, so who knows what'll happen before then.

And I think I found the perfect way to check CM... Exercise!!! I've started running again now that the heat is subsiding, and (TMI) the bouncing around "coaxes" the CM out to make it easier to check.

I just had a really long post with SO's to everyone and I lost it:mad: Ugh!

Please move me to testing August 24. I am hoping things will work out this cycle. I am going on a girls weekend with my 2 best friends on the 25th. The last time we went both of them were pg, so I am hoping that it will be my turn this trip. Although I am not sure I will be ready to tell them because of my m/c last time....but who am I kidding, if I am pg I probably will not be able to keep it from them. Even if I can initially, as soon as we go out to eat the first time and I don't order a drink, they will know.:rolleyes:

Hi all...

SQ2, well, it looks like O, but since it's not that strong of a rise (yet), you'd know for sure in a few more days...are you temping while you're away? I tend to keep everything on my chart and not adjust or discard temps, at least not until several days have passed and I see a pattern, but that's just me. :) It looks like you've covered your bases pretty well!

FSUSammy, hope you caught the egg! I haven't used OPK's so I have nothing useful to tell you about them.

Jen, this is funny: Plus I'd just gotten married and was still all about the Christopher & Jenifer crap that was all over the wedding. I was j&tinNB on WC...but I figure here it's really about me, not T! :) I hope your bloodwork went okay.

tealynn, hi! I hope we both have short stays! :)

MrsJackson05, you have a mighty pretty chart! Your DH may have been OK (for TTC) after all! (But I'd still get it checked.)

honeygirl, sorry about AF. I wish I could come to your class! How fun! Spread the gospel of charting!

risa00, I'm sorry you're down. I hope someone gets a BFP soon, too! I'm glad the Clomid isn't making you feel too strange, and I hope it works soon.

polkadot, I'm so sorry about the BFN. Is your dr. able to give you any help? I hope you feel better soon and get AF or can move on to a better cycle.

DelSol, I hope you did O. Regular cycles really help. Have a great weekend--I hope you got some good rest last night.

ABirney, have fun canning! That sounds like hot work--stay cool.

SweetRed, weird about the temps...do you have AC or anything? Maybe that's keeping your temp steady at night? I'm glad exercise is good for your CM! That's funny!

numberlady, good luck with the 2WW!

Whew, that was a lot of replies. When I go back to work (I'm a teacher), I won't be nearly as thorough!

Me~still EW/watery, still low temps, still BDing. DH asked me this morning, "Should we try to conceive today? When do you want to do that?" Cute!

j*east ~ Yup, I'm temping. It's a 2 hour time change but I'm just taking my temp at the same time I normally would back home (6am). It may make it a little inaccurate since that would be 8am at home, but I'm not sure how else to do it. My temps seem to be staying steady after the jump a few days ago. Hopefully they'll go even higher. I had a major CM dry-up today which makes me think I really did O. I want at least one more higher temp to confirm though. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much but it's so hard not to!

Which reminds me, the obsessive control freak in me couldn't stand not to chart online while I was away (I use Ovusoft) so I created a FF account so I can share my chart with you guys while I'm traveling. :)

I am way behind, but I wanted to pop in and say hi. I have been on a little family-visiting trip for the last week, and we just got home. I am SO tired! I temped up to the day we left, but no temp shift before I left and I didn't take my thermometer. I plan to temp in the morning, just to see if I am at normal post-O temps, but I don't have a clue when I O'd. I got my TCOYF before I left and have learned a lot, even though I have been on these boards for a year. I am having the cysts in my breast aspirated Monday, so that's really what I have been thinking about. I already have it in my head that I will be scheduling a proceedure when my next cycle starts...I think a lap with a tube dye test. I just want some answers at this point.

I do want to say:
Polkadot- I am so sorry this long cycle hasn't turned into a BFP for you! I know that is so frustrating. Hang in there girl. We are all pulling for you!

polka ~ I'm thinking of you. I'm sorry for the long cycle.

j*east ~ I got some good rest so that worked for me. Now I just need to get some cleaning done since DH is having a client come over to the house Tuesday.

SQ2 ~ hope you caught the egg.

Jess71903 ~ Good Luck on Monday!

Me ~
I had huge temp spike yesterday morning and it stayed up this morning. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. FF still showing I O'd on CD15, which works in my favor. I have a weird feeling in my tummy, it feels like I have been doing a ton of sit-ups and the muscles are sore. Maybe it is my mind playing tricks on me.

DH stayed home yesterday, Gram most likely got released from the hospital yesterday, we haven't heard from his mom to let us know if she did or not. He's gonna go up later on in the week. He wanted to know what I wanted to do on my birthday and I was like I don't know. He said I can give ya the goods, I looked at him and said I wanted the good Thursday night but you didn't want too. He didn't say anything then so I won't be passing a change to BD up but I know it's too late for anything to happen with this BD.

Yesterday was my sister's surprise bday party, she was really surprised. My niece was so cute, she's 2 and when it was time to sing happy birthday, my dad and I had to laugh because the look on her face you would have thought she thought it was her bday and we were singing to her. Her bday was in July and when we sang to her, she kept wanting us to sing to her again (according to her).

thanks girls. I am sorry I havent been posteing replies or anything but I am trying to stay calm and not freak too much about TTC and I am also tying to stay off these boards but it doesnt look like that is going to happen...so please dont think I am being rude...i just feel like I have o advice to give since I am sooooooooooooo screwed up right now....(((hugs))) to everyone!!!

We understand, polkadot. We don't expect you to always give, give, give. You are allowed to take support from us too! I hope you can get un-screwed up soon! I know what you mean about trying to stay off the boards. I have tried that too, but these girls are the ones who know what it's like and make me less neurotic than if I had no support.

I just entered my temp from this morning after not temping for a week and FF gave me dotted crosshairs on CD 12! That would make me 13 DPO, which I think is wrong. I don't think I O'd before CD 16, but whatever. I temped just to see if I had a typical post-O temp for me, and it was, so threadmistress, please move me to "I think I O'd. Testing 8/30" but not really. I don't plan to test unless AF is REALLY late by past cycle standards. I guess 8/30 would be a pretty good time, but I expect AF will show before I can test.

I have created a monster. Somehow I flipped a switch in DH and he wants to BD all the time. Yay! I hope this is our month. It certainly won't be for lack of trying.

polka~ I agree with Jess. Do whatever is best for you. I'm sorry this cycle has been so darn long for you. I had a different situation, but taking last month off since DH was away turned out really well for me. Not that I don't love this thread, but staying away helped me not think about TTC all.the.time. Just take it day by day and stop by when you want and don't if it's too hard. :) We're always glad to see you!

Jess71903~ I checked out your chart. I had to do the same thing with mine last month b/c I went away--it's kind of fun to imagine what your temps may have done in that long dotted line. There's no way of knowing for sure, but Oing on CD12 fits with your CM report. Did you notice CM later in the cycle? It looks like you had well timed BD whenever you O'd. Oh, I also keep rereading TCOYF and learning more from it. The FAQ's on FF helped me too, since they're more concise. There's always more to learn, it seems.

DelSol, your chart looks really nice and your BD was well timed. It's probably too early for FPS, but you never know! When's your birthday? I hope it's a good one. Oh, I read back (apparently I have no short term memory) and it's today? Sunday? Then...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

ABirney, thanks! He is pretty cute. :p Forgive me if you already talked about this, but have you talked to your dr. about your long cycles? Any thoughts? You seem so patient, but that must be frustrating. Oh, I saw that you emailed your Dr. I hope you hear from him/her soon and can move on!

SQ2, what a pretty, pretty chart! Nice BD timing and the elusive O dip! Too funny that you got an FF account. I have a feeling you and I have some personality quirks in common. :) I'm sure I'd have both FF and OS, but Ovusoft doesn't work on my Mac.

Chart stalking:
Armadillo, looking good so far! I hope those temps stay up!

Jen, I think you talked about this, but I think you may have Oed earlier (CD14). Things look nice so far!

I'm sure I'd have both FF and OS, but Ovusoft doesn't work on my Mac. :D Yes, I think we do have a lot in common. :) I'm a planner and like to be in control. Doesn't bode well for someone in a 2ww! (Which is what I hope I'm in right now.) I think mostly it's that I just want to know what's going on in my body right now. It's so hard not knowing!

Well, my temp was lower this morning, but I went to bed at 2am and woke up at 6 to temp. I rarely go to bed that late (usually in bed by 10) so I don't really trust that temp. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I feel so strongly that I must have O'd because of the disappearance of EWCM (pretty much a dry-up yesterday, a little sticky today, although I've heard you can get fertile quality CM post-O), but mostly it's because of the O-pains and aches I had a couple days ago as well as the temp dip. Plus I've had this weird cramping sensation both tonight and and on Friday night that I've never felt before. :confused:

Hey ladies. Happy Monday! UGH!

CD 20 for me and my temps have not spiked at all. I had a dry up a few days ago and then yesterday I had creamy CM. What's weird is in the mornings when I wake up I feel super hot but my temps are not corresponding with that feeling. Also when you look at my charts you can see a very slow rise in temps. Very strange. Don't know if I did O or not. Guess its a wait and see.

Hi all -

I'm with cowgirl - too many posts to catch up!

My pain was also helped along by my first ever YI...ewwe. So BDing is off for a bit, but I haven't O'd yet, so there's still a glimmer of hope. CD21, hard to tell CM because of YI....so I'm just marking it N/A. I figure we'll BD after I'm better anyway, so hopefully O will hold off just a few more days....

Hey Ladies,

Hope you all had a good weekend.

10DPO here and no spotting yet. Crossing my fingers that it doesn't show. My lower back has been killing me the last couple of days, my gut is telling me it is a sign of AF. I guess I will have to wait and see.

Today is my appointment with the GI doctor to discuss my monthly pains and constipation issues. Hopefully we can figure out what is going on.

SQ2- I don't know what to tell you about your chart. TCOYF says that your CM is the best indicator of O, so based on that, I would say CD 17 is a most likely O date since you dried up after that, but your temps don't match up, at least not yet. FF seems pretty confident that you did O, though. Does it take away the crosshairs if you leave in that low temp from yesterday? I would say, you got at least 3 hours of sleep and temped at your usual time, so it should be a good temp. I guess just see what the next few days bring temp-wise and see if there's a more clear shift somewhere, and don't stop BDing. I hope it clears up for you!

FSU- I looked at your chart too (the FF one) and I hate to say that I'm not seeing much of an O pattern there. Maybe you haven't yet??? If it ends up showing anov again this cycle I would call you dr. for a pre and post O-time blood draw to check progesterone levels (usually CD 3 and 21). They did that for me at about 6 months TTC, but I don't think they even asked when I scheduled it how long I had been trying.

jessied- I hope the spotting doesn't show up and the back pain is an EPS and not AF! *Fingers crossed!* I hope your GI appt goes well and you can get things figured out with that!

motray- sorry about the YI! They are the worst! I hope your O is delayed a little so you can be YI free and get to the BDing!

j*east- thanks for looking at my chart. I guess it does match up with my CM. I wish I had more CM. I'd been drinking green tea like crazy, which is why I think I had EW at all. I am not very good at checking, but I don't think I had much more than what I posted. The EW was definitely noticable, though. On the TP and everything- no having to go looking for it! Also, YAY for the BD monster you have created!

cowgirl- I hope it was EW and you caught the eggie! *Fingers crossed!*

I'm going for the cyst aspiration at 11:30. I will update when I get back!

ABireny ~ Thanks for the birthday wishes. Yes my niece is cutie and stinker, she is showing her terrible 2's. Even DH commented to me Saturday night how he saw her bold streak coming out. She is very loud and kept screaming for my mom and everyone would tell her to stop screaming but of course she wouldn't listen. :rolleyes:

SQ2 ~ I've have those same type of cramps - like you've been doing a ton of sit-ups.

FSUSammy ~ sorry your temp hasn't spiked, I'll keep my fingers crossed it does soon.

motray36 ~ sorry about the YI.

Jess - Yeah I agree with what you are seeing with my chart. What's odd is the temps are slowly going up, but over time. I've never really had that happen. My doc already knows about my irregular cycles and I have a script for Clomid but I chose not to try it this cycle since my last cycle was 30 days long (my shortest since going off BCPs). I'm highly considering trying the clomid next cycle though since this is a tad rediculous!

Forgot to add this about DH...

We were BDing last night and he asks if this one goes towards making a baby? I said no that was last week, this one is for the fun of it. He said Oh. I think he was upset that we couldn't have the potential to make a baby last night. So I did say to him, that is why I wanted to BD on Thursday but you weren't in the mood, last week was my fertile week. :p

Holy Goodness. It's amazing what goes on in here when I don't check in as often! There are tons of replies to do! :D

Lauren, we totally understand about you being confused. Don't ever feel bad about not doing shout-outs. Somedays, it's just easier not to do them when dealing with all this TTC stuff. Keep your chin up, girl!

Abirney, did you get all your tomatoes canned? That's a big job!

j*east, Thanks for the chart compliment, it's always nice to hear something positive like that. I keep thinking how ugly my chart is. Of course, it doesn't help that I compare it to all the *perfect* charts in the gallery. :rolleyes:

Me? I had a temp jump this morning. But I was cold, cold, cold last night. I don't know what's up with that.

Also, that Pre-AF headache that I had last week is back. Way to start a Monday, huh?! I've also had a bit of diarrhea the last couple of days. I know you all wanted to know that. But for me, it's weird.

I'm hoping that the big temp jump isn't like the temp jump on my March 2nd chart, but I'm thinking that it is. I'm also thinking that my temp is going to go down in the am. I'm such a pessimist, huh? And looking back at my May chart, I didn't have a temp drop until the day AF showed.

The waiting sucks.

DeSol: Actually, to me it doesn't feel like situps. Just a weird cramping sensation that I've never felt before.

* * *

Got the weird cramps again last night and felt kinda bloated. Also, weirdest thing when I was trying to go to sleep last night I felt really really hot and dizzy. Almost nauseous. Maybe I'm just driving myself crazy wondering if I'm pg or not that my body is creating these symptoms. Ugh!

FSUSammy ~ I got my CBEFM off drugstore.com I believe as it was on sale. I wouldn’t have a problem buying one off eBay as long as you clear the data before you start to use it (the instructions tell you how to do this.) I did get a PEAK reading on my first cycle using it. The second cycle it had me start POAS later in the cycle as I O late. What I LOVE about is that you POAS first thing in the AM. So – no holding pee in the afternoon and no second guessing the afternoon pee time.

Honeygirl ~ Lots of hugs for you. . .

Risa000 ~ Those questions are so hurtful. I really wish people would think before they asked about baby-making. You never know someone’s situation. . .

Polkadot ~ Lots of hugs for you on the long cycle! I O really late myself and it is SO frustrating. . .

Lots of DUST for all those testing this week!!

Me: I’m 8DPO and so far, so good. I have been pretty good about not stressing about every little feeling during the 2ww. It was a good idea for me to stop charting all the “signs” as now I’m not so in tuned to these things. I should know by this weekend if this cycle’s a bust. Then I’ll get CD3 bloodwork and DH will get a SA. Fun stuff!!

Hi girls! No time for s/o's, sorry!

cross posted for family planning thread

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these at home SA's? My doctor wants DH to take a SA but when I mentioned that he didn't currently have health insurance she said that she had heard of at home tests you can do. I found this one at Walgreens (http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jsp?CATID=100702&navAction=jump&navCount=0&id=prod385425).
http://a1061.g.akamai.net/7/1061/5412/home/www.walgreens.com/dbimagecache/290514.jpg

Just wondering if it's something we should do or would it be better just to pay the out of pocket $$ to do the SA at the lab.

TIA!

Kate - Thanks for the info. I'm really trying to decide what I should do for my next cycle since I'm pretty sure there will be a next. I'm not sure if I should get the CBEFM or if I should go on Clomid. I have a script at home just not sure what I should do with it yet. I probably need to sit down with my DH and see what he says.

j*east

Jen, I haven't heard anything about those, but I'm curious. I'd love to have DH do an SA sooner than 6 months of TTC.

SQ2, I'm a total planner too. :) I agree with FF on your O. Here's the thing: CM shows what estrogen is doing, and it's common for the corpus luteum to produce a little estrogen after it has released the egg. The temp shows the effects of progesterone, and that's released by the corpus luteum after O. So the CM shows your body is getting ready to O, but only the temp shows when you've actually Od, and one temp below the coverline isn't indicative of anything. This is explained here (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Ovulation.html) on FF under "Detecting Ovulation," if anyone's curious. I love TCOYF, but this is a concise explanation that helped me put it all together. I'm sure you know this stuff already, I was just explaining my reasoning. :)

Also, your symptoms sound convincing, considering you've been off the pill a while (right? weren't you CTA?). I had the worst FPS right after I went off the pill, and I wasn't PG.

ChicagoKate, I'm glad you're not stressing the 2WW. That's my biggest challenge. It's good to have a plan, too, if this isn't your cycle. (But I hope it is!)

MrsJackson05, Dude, I still think you have a pretty chart! There are some wacky charts in the gallery, too! I saw by your past charts that you seem to get AF no later than 14DPO, so the next few days will show what's going on...I'm crossing my fingers for you.

DelSol, sounds like your DH could use a fertility lesson. Have you asked him if he wants to know more about it or to let you explain it? It really helps with my DH, although I've had to tell him stuff a few times before he gets it. (That's okay b/c I have to read everything 4 times before I get it.) It took a few months for him to really get on board, but it was worth it to explain things to him. Or you can send him to honeygirl's class. ;)

Jess71903, yeah, I used to check CM obsessively, but I realized it wasn't making that big of a difference. So now I just go by what's obvious without looking too hard. :o I've heard lots of raves about grapefruit, but haven't tried it. Not a fan!

FSUSammy, yeah, I'm not seeing the O either. Are you reluctant to try clomid? Maybe you could try one cycle and see what happens? I don't know much about it though. Was there anything different about the cycles you did O? Less stress, more exercise, anything?

jessied1025, I hope your GI visit goes well and you get some good help or information.

motray36, sorry about the YI (it took me a minute to figure out what that was). Ewee. I hope you feel better soon. That's just not fair, or fun!

cowgirl, I hope you O soon. I thought if CM was stretchy it was EW and not leftovers...but there's a thread somewhere around here about it.

ABirney, too funny about holding your thermometer in your sleep! I have dreamed I temped sometimes, but that's a new one.

Me--still hoping to O. Soon!

FSUSammy

j*east - Yeah I'm a tad reluctant to try the Clomid due to the side effects. Plus the doc just gave me 3 fillings of it so after that he'd want to do more tests. So I kinda need to make sure that DH is gung-ho about BDing at the right times, ya know? As for the differences in this cycles vs. previous ones. I've had stress during most of my cycles for some reason or another. So it should be pretty normal for me. Granted last week I was interviewing for 2 different positions at my current job so its possible that the stress I had (which wasn't much, but I'm sure there was some) affected O. I did read something online about a slow-rise so I'm wondering if that might be a possibility. Guess we'll see.

ChrisnJen ~ I'm interested on info about the at-home SA. Does it just test concentration? I would think that a lab test would offer a lot more info (motility, etc). Not sure how much it would cost to pay out of pocket?

FSUSammy ~ Hard to know what to do about the Clomid. For me, I'd want to get a CD3 blood workup first to see what's going on. Have you had one of these? What about an HSG? Something else to think about is that the CBEFM does not always work for people on Clomid. So it might not be worth it to spend your $$ if you are going to go on Clomid soon.

Kate - No I haven't had a CD3 done yet or an HSG. For some reason when I went in for my annual last month I told my doc that I had very irregular cycles between 40-50 days long. He then prescribed Clomid for me. I had told him that we just recently started TTC so not sure why he jumped and put me on Clomid. I had read about the CBEFM not working for those on Clomid so I'm reluctant to make that big purchase. I guess I really need to sit down with DH to see what he thinks we should do.

Thanks all I hope I do O soon and catch the egg.

j*east: That would be nice I may have to check around for the thread.

Jen:I have no info for you but have thought about using one since we have the same problem. There is a thread in FP about these. You could always try it and then when you get insurance have one done in the lab.

Sam:I don't blame you for wanting to wait on the clomid.

Sorry to anyone I missed.

Sam ~ I agree about waiting on the Clomid. I'd want to know what's going on first before starting Clomid. I just really hate it when doctors just prescribe meds without seeing what is going on first. Long cycles could be a symptom of PCOS, which Clomid could help but you'd really need to be on metformin too. I also would not really want to take Clomid without any monitoring (of follicle size etc) as sometimes you can get cysts on Clomid and you would need to take a cycle off. Good luck!!!

Hi ladies! I am back from getting the cyst drained. It wasn't fun, but not too bad, either. She got it totally drained but it wasn't the clear yellowish stuff they expected. It was dark and bloody, so they are sending it to the lab. she did say that she was almost certain it was benign, though. Things have been busy in here today! Whew!

Jess - Ok this might be a stupid question but how did you find out that you had a cyst? Did you have certain symptoms that caused you to call up your doc? Glad you are ok though!!

Hi everyone,

I haven’t been checking in this past week, my parents are here from out of town and I don’t have a minute to post.

Attempting S.O.s from as far back as I can see…

Abirney – hope you had fun canning tomatoes, what do you use them for?
SweetRed – thanks I figured out the FF thing, 4 weeks in it is getting easier! Hope your cycle is getting more ‘normal’
Jessied – we are in the same boat I am either 10 or 11 DPO with lower back pain but of course it could be a million things - here’s hoping to some BFPs for us!
Jess – hope the cyst aspiration went OK
FSU Sammy – hope your temps spike soon

Me – I am on either 10 or 11 DPO and I got a BFN today :( , I guess all is not lost yet though. This is my first cycle off BCP and I had some spotting on 8 DPO and I am so tired these past few days and have back pain but of course those could all be other things that the BFP. I came off BCP before about 3 years ago and my cycles were around 32 days, today is CD29 so if AF doesn’t show up by Friday I think I will test again.

I semi-charted when TTC DS. I had been charting TTA for a while, but it just so happened when we were TTC, we were traveling a lot, etc. So the thermometer was only used the LAST half of my cycle! lol Anyway - starting on CD 3 tomorrow, as DH and I just decided to go for TTC #2! :D

Hi all..
SQ2, jessied, DelSol, MrsJackson, ChicagoKate, and Cath alot of testing coming up! Hopefully we'll get some BFP's!
FSUSam I don't see an O yet... Hopefully you will soon!
cowgirl Hope you catch your egg!
motray that sucks about the YI!
jess hope the testing on the fluid from the cyst comes back ok.
LILRTL welcome!

Still working on tomatoes.. have 2 flats I'm cooking up tonight that I will add to another 2 flats that should be ripe in a day or two. I use the stewed tomatoes in chili, spaghetti sauce, hotdishes, etc. I also bought 2 crates of peaches this weekend.. made a pie yesterday (and an apple one too) and will can the rest of the peaches in a couple days. Cucumbers... eating sliced ones left and right... hopefully will have enough to make pickles (sweet chunk and dill) soon. Made stuffed peppers with some nice bell peppers I just picked yesterday for supper tonight. Will have some peas ready to pick soon too.So I've been busy!

Got an email back from the dr today and he will call in a prescription to the pharmacy for Provera so I can bring on AF and start a new cycle. Hopefully I'll O this next cycle! My coworker also gave me a highchair, baby swing, crib sheets, and some toys today (she knows we're TTC obviously). Her daughter is 6 months and she is cleaning out some of the stuff she doesn't use anymore. I hope I'll be able to use it someday!

Welcome, LILRTL! :)

SQ2, jessied, DelSol, MrsJackson, ChicagoKate, and Cath alot of testing coming up! Hopefully we'll get some BFP's! I hope so. But, I have a question. WHEN do I test? How early? I'm new to this so if my temp stays high tomorrow I'm going to go ahead and say I think I O'd. Just curious what my testing window should be. Thanks!

My goodness this thread moves so fast, so I am going to skip shout outs once again except for SQ2, you and I are only one day off based on our O's and I am testing at the end of next week if I don't get AF first. Generally, it is best to wait until about 14 days after O to give your body enough time to produce enough preggo hormones to give you a + test result. You can get a + sooner, but you might also get a false negative and waste a lot of money on tests.

Can we please get some BFP's in here??? Come on ladies testing this week! I'm rootin' for you!!

After chart stalking I have to sayArmadillo I hope your temp stays up today because your chart looks really good!

Kate - Do you think I should call my doctor up and see if they can schedule me for the blood work before I start the Clomid? Is that something I can ask for?

Cath - Hoping you tested too soon!

Lora - Welcome hope your stay is short and sweet!

ABirney - Can I come over? Sounds like you are cooking up a storm over there! Yum. Hopefully your next cycle will be a better one.

Me - I'm on CD 21 today and my temps have Dropped drastically. It could be because my comforter somehow wasn't on me, but I don't know. I had very creamy CM yesterday, more on the lotiony-side too. I'm going to wait and see what kind of CM I have today and depending on that I might test with an OPK. The problem is right now is not the best time for us to BD just because DH hurt his back over the weekend when we attempted to do WAY too much landscaping at our home. I don't want to hurt him more by BDing KWIM?

Ok, WTF, my temp was really low again this morning but FF is still saying I O'd. Could it be a fluke? I was so sure I O'd. What's going on?

So am I correct in assuming I shouldn't be testing until around August 24th or 25th? :confused:

FSUSammy

SQ2 - Do you temp orally or vaginally? If you temp orally is there a possibility that your mouth was open or maybe your sheets weren't covering you like they normally do?

SQ2
08-15-2006, 06:28 AM
FSUSammy ~ Orally. I took it 3 times too and it was all around the same temp. HMmmm....Don't really remember if my covers were on or off. I do sleep with my mouth open sometimes but as far as I can tell it's never really affected my temps. Good thought though. Maybe that's it.
