I'm still having lots of stomach cramps, is that normal?
mrstim
07-26-2006, 10:41 AM
Tosha - I had mentstrual like cramps for several weeks after finding out I was pregannt back in Dec! It's totally normal - as long as it's not just focused on one side. Remember - all those ligaments and your uterus itself must stretch to WELL beyond what they are now, so it's no wonder things feel crampy! :D Just a suggestion until you get some experienced mama's in here - go back and read through the beginning of maybe the Feb/March due date groups to see what they went through (symptom wise) and it might help calm you down! Here I sit with only 3 weeks to go and I still second-guess each twinge!
Congrats to all you April - mama's from a soon to be mama! ;)

I was tired of waiting for it to be started, so I figured I'd go ahead and do it! I'm slowly adding to it while working.
When was AF due? Mine was due yesterday and my dr said that cramping around that time it normal and to be expected. I've had a little today. Overall I feel very much like I did when I was pregnant with DD: exhausted, hungry but sick at the same time, and very sensitive bbs. I'm trying to take a 30 minute nap when I get home from work, but it's hard with a 2 year old demanding attention as soon as I walk in the door. I'm also trying to make sure I keep working out after work, hoping that it will help increase my energy as well as keep me in shape!

mrstim: Thanks! I also joined the March 2007 thread just to have some other input. Plus, my due date is so close to March that I figured I misewell! Thanks for all the info and congrats on your new one coming soon! :)
lauren f s: Let me know if this thread gets overwhelming and I will help you out. :) I sit at a computer all day at work. hehe My AF was due late Sunday, early Monday, so I guess it's normal that I'm having cramps! :)

Congrats Marriedagoalie and LaurenFS! I'm so excited to see an April thread... means I'm that much farther along in my own pg :D I had AF like cramping through week 4 and part of week 5. And I had the pinching cramping in week 4 as well. Both went away for the most part by week 5 and I haven't felt them at all in week 6. Very normal from what I hear.
Congrats again and Lauren...if you want to stop on by the March thread like Married there's a lot more action over there right now.

Congratulations to the April '07 mamas from a January '07 mama!!! :D I am sure you will have lots of ladies join you in here in no time! I was the one who started the January thread 3 months ago and I remember how lonely I was in there until others started joining... :)
I had cramping and pinching feelings until about 7-8 weeks. The OB assured me that it's completely normal - just like mrstim said - it's everything stretching on the inside.

Well that's good to hear. It was so bad earlier that it almost made me sick (literally). I'm glad to hear that it will go away SOON. :)
I've been really hungry today... I've been snacking all day. I guess I shouldn't get myself into that habit already! haha :)

Congrats April 2007 mommies from an April 2006 mom.
lauren f s - I remember you way back from the WC days when you were pregnant with your daughter. Congrats! :)

Thank you Kopper!
Married: I've been eating nonstop since Monday. It's disgusting, but I can't stop. I'm trying to pick healthy things, but that ice cream break at lunch didn't help. Sure was tasty, though. ;)

HAHA It's okay, lauren. I have been eating a lot today too. Let's see what I had today. I had a Slim Fast shake for breakfast, 2 rice cakes in between breakfast and lunch, a salad with chicken on it for lunch, some popcorn at lunch, a cookie after lunch, a nectarine at 3pm... and I'm still hungry!! At least most of it is healthy. :)

Congratulations ladies from a June 05 momma and a soon-to-be February 2007 momma. Enjoy the ride ladies. You won't believe how quickly it passes by and then once your little ones arrive you won't believe how quickly time passes then. It's like it is in fast forward mode.
Married ~ Congratulations!! Stretching is common in the first trimester. I remember when it started with my first pregnancy. I was worried it meant something was wrong but it was just stretching getting ready to make room for that growing baby. Don't worry about joining both threads. You could deliver early (and in my opinion it's better to have gotten to know the ladies in the other thread if you are due within a week of another month) and then want to join the other thread but don't feel like you know the ladies because you didn't bond with them during the pregnancy.

Congrats from another Feb 2007 mom-to be! You are in for an exciting ride.
As a side note, you might want to start a group ID that way you can have a few threadmistresses. If you do, the mods can merge the threads for you so you don't have to start over.

I have sunflower seeds at my desk and snack on them throughout the day. I think that's why I'm feeling like all I do is eat!
How do I make a group ID and all that?

Thanks for the info, usafwife! I'm glad it's normal, but it still doesn't feel good. :(
boilermaker: Thank you for the advice. I don't mind helping out Lauren, so I guess we probably do need a group ID. Info on how to get one for Lauren would be good. Thanks for the idea! :)

07-26-2006, 04:36 PM
You can just register as a new user with a new user ID (ex: April '07 Mommas). Then, start a new thread with that user ID and PM one of the mods to ask them to merge the two threads.

I felt that minor cramping for the first week after getting my BFP, its normal.

zhannushka: Thanks for the instructions on how to do that. Lauren, do you want to do it?

You can just register as a new user with a new user ID (ex: April '07 Mommas). Then, start a new thread with that user ID and PM one of the mods to ask them to merge the two threads.
You'll also need to have an email address (yahoo or msn will work). The group ID will be easier for others to help update the thread. Having only one person makes it a lot of work. Especially if that person has m/s and simply updating the thread can be a lot of added work.

Thanks for the advice on switching over to a new username, etc. I was late to work this morning (overslept :o) and need to get some things done. I'll work on getting it all switched after lunch!
I passed out last night at 8:30! I was so exhausted! And I slept until 8:30 this morning - and I'm supposed to be at work at 8:30. Oops! But I feel great this morning, wide awake and just a tiny bit hungry. I've had some cantaloupe a co-worker brought me and will have a granola bar in a bit. That should tide me over to lunch!

Just a note, if you have a mod merge it, you will still be the originator of the original posts, meaning, you'll still be the only one able to edit the posts.
The easier way to do it (so that you can have help updating), is to get the new user ID and start a new thread. Then, you can just open your posts to edit, copy and paste it into the new thread (by doing it in an edit window, you'll be able to copy all of the links, etc).
Oh, and a big congrats to all the April 2007 mommas to be - hard to believe we're into the April mommas already!

Nothing new with me today. I've felt pretty normal the past couple days except for the cramps that I still have. Other that that, nothing new to report. :)
