Vomit/Suppository help

DS started vomiting Saturday morning (right before his birthday party :( ). He kept up with it most of the day Saturday. As per the ped nurse's orders, we only gave him Pedialyte, water, and a tiny bit of formula. Sunday morning he seemed better, but the vomiting started up again. I called the ped and they asked to see him. The ped we saw said that it was probably a virus that would run it's course in two days (we were on day two of the puking at this point). He said that DS wasn't hydrated as well as he should be, but wasn't dehydrated. He prescribed a suppository to help ease the vomiting and said DS should be feeling better by Sunday night.

This morning, literally 30 minutes after the suppository wore off, DS vomited again. We cleaned up everything, put in a new suppository, and put him back to sleep.

DS has no fever, but obviously does not feel good. Should I call the ped's office again? I feel like such a dork for calling all of the time, but I thought this vomiting would be over by now. I'm afraid of what will happen if when the next suppository wears off.

I don't work, so it's easy for me to say this but.....I would insist they see him today. I mean just to at least tell you that he's fine, you know? I'm sure it's a bug or maybe even something he ate, but, I'd rather them tell me that. And let them think you are paranoid, who cares. I know I've made many a phone call to my DS's ped (and I don't even call that much!) where they sounded annoyed but oh well! I always figure there has got to be people out there that pester them more than I do ;) . Good luck!

I would definitely call and I wouldn't give him any more suppositories so you know if he really is better or not. Does that make sense?

Poor guy! Helena had a bug like that when she was about 14 months old and it was terrible. It took her 4 days to get over it, but she did. All she would eat were popsicles and breastmilk. She lost a few pounds, but quickly recovered her appetite after she got better.

I hope he feels better soon!
