Apologies in advance for the TMI.
I'm three cycles into TTC (after going off the pill) and am using EWCM and OPKs to pinpoint ovulation. In the previous two cycles, I O'ed right around CD16 and got AF exactly 12 days later.
This cycle -- during which we took a trans-Atlantic flight, FWIW -- I had EWCM on CD9, but really didn't think much of it because it was so soon after AF. Then when I expected to O, nothing happened.
Now it's CD22. I had a teensy tiny bit of brown spotting today and yesterday, which has never happened before. I took an HPT and was disappointed when the three minutes elapsed and no line showed up. But then I looked more closely, and there was a super, super faint line (so faint that I had to hold it up to an untaken test to verify that it was indeed something).
What do you experts think -- does a line so light you have to hold it up to the light count for anything? Could it have been a fluke? And, how long should I wait to retest? It just seems so unlikely that I would have O'ed that early.
