There's a Weight Watchers thread I started, but I'm thinking we could have a group that weighs in each week, and we can share all of our recipes, activities, victories with the scales, etc.

Hi, Ladies! Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.
I went down 1.2 at weigh in yesterday. I'm glad I'm finally down because I was beginning to get discouraged. After two weeks of gaining, I was beginning to think "Whats the point?" KWIM?
So I'm now down a total of 25.4!
We talked about Core last night at our meeting. Is anyone doing Core or have you done Core? I was kind of scared of it before but now I'm feeling intrigued by it.

Meg! That's great, I'm very proud of you!!! I am scared of core...I like to have the control of counting (it just works for me). Many people that I know have done core and loved it though...might be worth a shot!

I've been doing WW online on and off for about 2 years. I've actually gained since starting but am recommiting (again.) I WI on Wed am (will be heading there in a couple hours.... ) Currently I'm 312.5, want to get to 180. Hopefully I can get some extra support on this thread!!

I have been doing WW on and off for 4 years now. This time around, I started going to meetings in March but was really bad for the first three months or so. I'm motivated now but have had a very, very tough week this week. I don't know what my deal is! I'm just mega-hungry!
Anyway...
My stats:
Weight in March (when I joined for the 4th time!): 186
Current weight: 180
Goal: 145-ish
I was around 165ish on my wedding day. That's my lowest recent weight.
I lost about 35 pounds on WW but have gained some back (about 11.)

I've been doing WW for a little while now (and have done it successfully in the past), but am finally really following the program. It's still going slow, but as long as I get there eventually and I learn how to make healthier food choices, that's all that matters!
Start weight: 158.4
Current weight: 156
Goal: 130-ish, I think

DH and I started WW in April, neither of us had done the program before. We're doing Points and trying to exercise most mornings.

Starting weight: 140
Current weight: 126
Goal: around 115
Weigh in: Thursday evening
I'd love to hear what recipes you guys like - I'm starting to get a little bored with our usuals.

Wow, macgirl, congrats on your loss! Thats great.
For those of you who only get 20pts per day, what is your typical day like, foodwise? I have been struggling and feeling like 20pts just aren't enough. I was wondering how other people did it. Everyone I know IRL have 24+ points per day.

This is just the place I am looking for a WW group. I didn't participate in the threads that were other places, but I'm ready to get involved now.

I tried WW online back in 2001 and lost a little but wasn't really motivated, so I guess this is really my second time on the plan. I started going to meetings on January 29, 2005.
Starting Weight - I can't admit it yet.
Goal Weight - 150
Weight Lost - 23
Favorite Activities, swimming, walking, elliptical machine.

With my 20 points I generally have a 5 point breakfast - cereal and FF milk at home or a pack of Nature Valley granola bars and a 'no sugar added' applesauce cup if I have to eat at work. I try to keep lunches at 5 or 6 points - small sandwich or a Smart Ones with fruit or veggies on the side . I almost always have a piece of sugar free gum after lunch to get me through that 'i really want a cookie' period. ;) Then dinner is usually 5 or 6 points - grilled chicken or beef with veggies and salad, DH's favorite tostadas, or my new love Barrilla Plus. I always reserve 3 points at the end of my day for my sweets fix - slow churned dryers 1/2 the fat ice cream YUM!
If I've had a low point day, sometimes I'll have a snack size bag of 94% FF popcorn and a diet rootbeer after work - somehow that always feels like cheating, but it's only 2 points. :D
DH gets 29 points so I know what you mean about seeing everyone else get more to work with. Somedays it really doesn't seem fair when he has enough points left over to have 2 scoops of ice cream and I only get my 1/2 cup serving. We've found our niche though and so far so good.

Today was weigh-in for me and I lost 2 pounds!!! :D So far, I've lost 4.2... well on my way to 10% (18 pounds) by September 3 (when I see my BF again).

Way to go, Andrea! It sounds like you are well on your way to meeting your 10% by Labor Day. Jeff will be pleasantly surprised I'm sure!
I didn't get to weigh in this week because WW was on Monday, which was a holiday. Here's to hoping I didn't sabatoge myself by skipping a week.

Meg, about missing the weigh in...yeah, last friday I was out of town, so no weigh in for me...but, we'll see what happens tomorrow morning...I'm sure we did fine!!! :)

I have done WW on and off for the past couple years. 3 years ago it was a great success for me and I lost I believe 27 pounds!!
Back in the game again and this time my mom joined with me! I have to admit the holiday weekend was a bear and I wasn't convinced that I had lost anything...but much to my surprise I lost 2.4 pounds!! wooohoooo!
starting weight - 132.something
current weight - 129.something
goal weight - 115
doesnt sound like much weight to lose but for some reason...i can never get past 124 so we shall see!

Great job on your weigh ins ladies! I forgot to come by after my meeting last week, so my two week update is: .8 for last week and 1.2 this week. I hit 10% last week. :) I've lost a total of 15.9 and DH has lost 35.something. I can't believe that between the two of us over 50 pounds have disappeared :eek:

Hi Ladies! I had my weigh in this morning. So since I missed weigh in last week, I lost 4.5 pounds when I jumped on the scale this morning. This wasn't the lowest weight that the scale had shown this week, but of course...I'm very happy!!! That means, I'm 3 pounds away from my goal!!!!! :)

I can totally relate to this. Its so frustrating! I've never been able to drop below 140 and it drives me insane!!

Congratulations!! That is awesome! Did you and DH start WW at the same time? It seems like the men in my group have a MUCH easier time losing than the women. It really isn't fair! :rolleyes:

Thanks Meg!! I am going to try to lose 4 more pounds so that I can be 129 and have a total loss of 40 pounds :) :) :) I haven't had any pictures taken recently, but will try to work on that this weekend...then I'll post some before and after pics :) I have gone from a size 14 to a size 8. I'm hoping that if I keep up with the gym and my toning exercises that I will drop another size...we'll see :)

Andrea, thanks girl, you're always such a great support for me! I'm not really sure how daniel feels about it...says he loved me before and he loves me now :) It has however inspired him to start going to the gym with me and watching his "points" a bit ;)

I have gone from a size 14 to a size 8.
That is beyond awesome, Amber. I cannot imagine how good it must feel to buy clothes in a size 8. My goal is to get out of the double digits, like you did. You are doing one hell of a job!

Meg: I'm trying everything I can to get some of the flab off my tummy....sit ups, machines, crunches, everything. Perhaps some of my problem is the amount of carbs I eat...I'm really trying to be better about it...but overall, hey, I'm happy! I thought that I was a tight size 10 but Daniels mom took me shopping while we were up north and got 8's (a couple of 10 cause of the material they were made out of). You'll get to the single digits, you're doing an awesome job!!!! We'll keep plugging away at this!!! :) Thanks for the continued support!

Hi Ladies...today is friday, which means it's my weigh in day....I lost 2 pounds this week! YAY! That means I only (using this term lightly) have, ummm 7 more pounds to go!!! :) I can do it, but I'm sure that it's going to take a while! Daniel and I went to the gym this afternoon and we spent 3 hours lifting...I'm sure that'll I'll be really sore tomorrow, but hopefully be on my way to gaining some muscles!! Now I just need to figure out what more I can do with my abs...I spend almost an hour on those alone...and change up my routine frequently...I just don't get it.
Well, I'm off for now. I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day!
P.S. I bought some size 6's yesterday! :)

I have totally fallen off the wagon for the past three weeks. I'm going to my scary weigh-in tomorrow morning, and am getting back on track. I'm sure once I see how much weight I've gained back, it will give me the motivation I need.

I have not been journaling and for me that = gain!!!!!!! I need to not munch on little things here and there. Like for instance today I grabbed 3 peanut M & M's which I know I can have, but darnit I'm trying to lose here!!! Ugh, its frustrating! Hopefully I will lose next week!

The great thing about weight watchers is that it works. It may not be the fastest way for some of us to lose, but all things in time. If for no other reason than eating a bit healthier, this works, it truly does :)

I'm in the same boat as you Emily! I just recommited this week after slacking off for a few weeks with a huge gain. So far so good!! I snuck a peek at the scale this morning and think I'll have a huge loss on Monday.. if I am careful at my MIL's this weekend...

I just realized I haven't posted in here in a while!
Last week, 7/11, I lost 0.2. Not great but down is down, right? :rolleyes:
This week I lost 1.6! I was thrilled because this is my bad time of the month. ;)
That makes a total weight loss of 27.2 lbs! Took me 6 months to do it, though. I have 13 lbs until my goal weight, which still feels like alot but not as much as my original 40 lbs! Its weird because I'm really only about 7-10 lbs overweight now. I can't remember the last time I could say that! :D

This morning I had a lean pocket and coffee for 4 points. I am trying really hard to eat breakfast every morning, hopefully it will speed up my metabolism! ;)

Anyhow I am Jen, I remember Emily from a LOOONG time ago, do you remember me I was jd143 on WC. So I am back on plan its been about a week and a half. I did online first and now am doing the meetings, which I am VERY happy with!
My starting weight was : 153.2
My 1st WI : 152.2
I weighed first thing this morning and it said 149.8! WHOA!!! My scale is usually right on! My meetings are in the evening, but to see the 140's again was so motivating! I love WW!
10% Goal - 138

Angio - WAHOO!!! That is FABULOUS!!! You must feel amazing!
So my husband and I were choosing goals along the way and rewards for those goals.
Here are mine:
GOAL 1 - Get back into the 140's
(I started at 155, I lost 2 lbs on my own before joining WW so my start weight was 153.3 technically)
Reward - New Running shoes, I am eyeing those new Nike Free's.
Goal 2 - Lower 140's (144)
Reward - A really nice facial and massage
Goal 3 - WW 10% 138
Reward - A new Coach bag (I am obsessed with those lil things)
Goal 4 - Absolute Goal 135
Reward - When DH and I both reach our target we will book a trip to Kauai!

I'm going to Canada Thursday for a long weekend, so I'm just trying to be as good as I can. My motivation is coming back though, and hopefully it will still be here when I kick my ass into serious gear come Monday!
I've been watching my snacking, which is huge for me. I didn't hit the vending machine at work today at all, which is a huge accomplishment.

Not to toot my own horn or anything but the entire staff at work had a pizza party since we all had to stay late and I hadn't eaten dinner and I did not have ANY! NONE! I know I am going to do great this time around I can just feel it!!!

I've been on the other WW thread but I figured I would join this one as well. I'm trying to make a new beginning because FH and I just got back from a cruise so naturally we've gained some back. Ok, here's me...
Height: 5' 0"
Highest Weight: 141 (back in 2002)
Current Weight: 136.2
10% Goal: 123
Goal Weight: 105
My lowest weight on record is 107. That was in 1998, when I was still in college.
Motivators:
*I am in weddings on August 21st and November 4th, and have one to attend on Sept. 24th.
*I'm getting married on January 7, 2006.
*FH and I want to TTC next summer.
So, here I am, and I'm hoping to rid myself of the 5+ pounds I gained on our cruise. So far I've lost about 1.5 of them. Before the cruise I was down to 132.2, so it killed me to go off the program, but oh well. A new start.

I am such a tool. I didn't even realize this thread was here! I've been happily posting away in the other one. Anyway, here's my information.
Height: 5'4"
Highest weight: 171
Current weight: 150
10% goal: 158
Goal weight: 135
The lowest I ever weighed was probably when I graduated highschool and that was about 130. I can't believe I weighed that little and that I thought I weighed too much!
My motivator is a pair of awesome red pants that I've had for several years and only worn once. They're a size 8 and I would LOVE to fit into those again.

Since Friday has always been my weigh-in day, I figured I'd post the results.
Starting weight (7/26): 137.8
Today's Weight: 135.4 :)
Goal for next WI: 134
All this means is that the vacation weight is coming off, possibly thanks to the very aggressive workouts I've been doing (and counting points!)
Upcoming Motivator: Best Friends wedding on 8/21. Would love to weigh 130!! :)
