DD has been walking for almost 2 months, and still uses a pretty stiff-legged gait. Mostly she walks by swinging her legs out to the side from the hips (does that make sense?). I thought that was normal, but one of the moms at our playgroup commented on it and now I'm curious... how long did it take your baby to start using a mature walking style?
my DD does the same thing (she doesn't walk on her own -- she has to hold my hand) and someone just commented on it to me too! i was so proud of her and now i'm back to freaking out, lol.

My DS has been walking for about 3 1/2 months now and walks "mature". He walked stiff-legged for about 2 months. Every baby is different so don't listen to that mom but if it does bother you then ask your doc.

Morgann had a very wierd walk for the first 2-3 months. Its now just starting to look totally "normal" and she's been walking for 7 months.
