Tub Safety & Babyproofing The Bath

Okay, I have the non-slip mat:

But who sells something to cover up the faucet handle so DS stops turning the water on? Our hot water is so fast, it would take a second for him to turn it on and burn himself. :( So I spend bathtime holding the handle...which is not condusive to a fun bathtime for either of us, or give me the freedom to be on Bum Watch to make sure he doesn't poop in the tub (again).

Is your DS standing to reach the handle? I have a similar setup and the only way my DD can reach it is if she's standing, which I don't allow. I give her one chance and if she does it again, bath is over. I wash her and her hair first thing in the tub and the rest is playtime. Another thing is we have one of those extendable tray things that goes across the tub to hold all the little toys. If you put that on that side of the tub, it would be hard for him to reach the water handle with that in the way.

He stands for almost the entire bath time. When he sits down, he tends to want to poop in the tub. Thus, we prefer the standing, lol!

He is strong and fast and has a long reach. So I have to assume there is some invention out there that can cover the handle so he can't pull it out towards himself (on). I am imagining some sort of bar that suctions on both side of it preventing it frombeing lifted up.....

Could you get four of the the suction hooks and temporarily put them around the faucet, then cut four holes in a cheap hand towel to put over it once you're done filling the tub?
