I am going to a wedding at the end of August - black tie optional. I would do a tea length dress, but with the extra pp weight I'm still carrying around, I would really like to cover my legs. Thing is - I'm 5'2" so sometimes long dresses sort of - overwhelm my body. Anybody have any specific suggestions?

TIA!

OMG Diane - I haven't seen you around in ages! How are you (I used to live in New York -- we met at a few GTGs).

I think a long dress can definitely work on a short girl but I would keep the silhouette as clean as possible and the skirt relatively narrow. It doesn't need to be a sheath, but a narrow A-line. Think your wedding dress.

What about this

I know the second one is shorter, but it's cute. :) Both are Ann Taylor Petites, and the first one comes in several colors.

Modified (not pouffy) A-line, princess seams (so that it does not "cut" you at the waist.

Amuse Bouche - Hello!!! OMG - I had no idea you were here! I think I've seen some of your other posts - so funny :) So, you're in CA now? How are things? PM me if you want to catch up...

Thanks for the ideas ladies! I think I'm going to hit Bloomingdale's when the date gets a bit closer - love the Ann Taylor ones too, but wonder if they look a bit "bridesmaid-sie"??
