Hi,

I had my surgery over two years ago and have never really had any problems other than a little acid reflux. Well tonight while I was on the computer I decided to have some fresh cherries. Well dumby me swallowed a cherry pit. I know that normally it would just go through my system and come out the other end.

Now I would like to know if anyone knows if this is the same since having the surgery because my digestion system is completely different. I have a feeling like it is sitting in my chest and that makes me nervous.

Any ideas or suggestions from others who have also had this surgery or are familiar with it?

Thanks for any support or suggestions.

Can you just throw it up? What about the meat tenderizer-recipe? I guess you don't really want it to dissolve, do you?

If you don't get an answer here, try the obesityhelp.com boards... those people are RNY-experts. ;)

I would guess that it would pass through your system the same way, since it can't be absorbed by the intestines, and will continue through.

I would call the doc's office and ask, they'll be able to put your mind at ease (or tell you what to do if something needs to be done).

Call your doctor. You dont want it to get stuck.
