View Full Version : Older shows
I always have these conversations with DH and friends about shows that we miss on TV. Sometimes they have no clue what I'm talking about. So what was a show that you remember from when you were a kid or just a show that you miss?
-Small Wonder
-Munchchichi's (sp?)
-Punky Brewster

CHiPs! I'm waiting for the day it comes out on DVD. I loved that show when I was little and never see reruns anymore. :(

I LOVE Charles in Charge! We changed satellite systems recently so now I can't watch it :(
I also watch Full House regularly, and if Saved by the Bell were on, I would watch it!

I loved Ally McBeal, Party of Five, American Dreams and Beverly Hills 90210
I miss Murphy Brown. I definitely miss Friends, which isn't that old.
I used to hope that they would say my name on Romper Room, but they never did!

I am anxiously awaiting the DVD release of 90210. I have a lot of episodes on VHS but want the whole series. I would LOVE for them to have a commentary from the cast or something.
DH LOVES, LOVES Magnum, PI. A few years ago (before me) he was unemployed and his girlfriend had just left him, so the highlight of his day was watching Magnum on cable every day at noon. Poor thing.

That's so sad! :(
I like:
The Cosby Show
Roseanne
Seinfeld
90210
Melrose Place
Party of 5 (Cliff and I got season 1 from Netflix. It was sad how much we enjoyed it!)
Family Ties
The Wonder Years
Life Goes On (Does anyone know if this airs anywhere?)
Fresh Prince
Bewitched
The Munsters
Happy Days
Alice was one of my favorites, but people look at me like I'm weird when I mention it. I loved Mel!

I was a latchkey kid so I watched a LOT of tv. I miss:
GOLDEN GIRLS (I still watch reruns on Lifetime!)
Facts of Life
Punky Brewster
Family Ties
The Fall Guy
CHiPs
Growing Pains
ALF
Cosby Show
The Wonder Years
TJ Hooker
Laverne & Shirley
Smurfs
Transformers
Go-bots
Tigercats
Snorks
Jem & the Holograms
I'm sure there are more, but I just can't think of them now.
ETA: I forgot about Wonder Woman, Bionic Man, and the Six Million Dollar Man! I used to run "slow-motion" like Lindsay Wagner and do the spinning thing like Lynda Carter/Wonder Woman!

I am so happy Remington Steele is coming out on DVD this summer! I was so in love with this show when I was younger. DH into it too--it was one of the first things we found we had in common when we were getting to know each other.
