WHO ARE WE ???
A group of CC ladies who are Trying To Concieve (TTC) We would love to hear about what you are going through. We understand the trials, tribulations and many doctor appointments that you are facing on this journey into parenthood. No question is too "stupid", asked too often, nor is any "vent" that you may have unnecessary.
This thread may move quickly at times, but don't be afraid to jump in on the last page. You don't have to read through the entire thread before you join us. The first few posts on page one are some introductory info to help everyone out as well as provide many useful links to other sites with in depth information on certain topics. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over to the most recent "Seeing What happens" thread. Can you believe, 2 months in a row, I am here to dampen the thread so soon:(
AF showed:(
I was JUST starting to really think it could be it. DH and I started to kind of dream a bit, and then he put his hand on my belly and said "OMG, what if this really is it, and we're pregnant!!!" Just like that AF showed:mad:
I guess on the up side of things, I didnt waste money on a HPT:p AND my cycles have been regular! Also, now with this new cycle, I am set to O on my birthday:D
Bring a new cycle on! I MUST remain positive and hopeful!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THIS MONTH!

I´m on CD 11 and we will start TTC tonight. After the d&c my obgyn put me on BCP for one month to achieve a normal cycle again. Unfortunately I have had constant bleeding and spotting since the d&c and the spotting still returns each day for some hours. I have an obgyn appointment on tuesday and hope that everything is okay and we are officially allowed to TTC. But as I am impatient, I don´t want to start as late as CD 13. ;)

Welcome Bella!
So sorry about AF, Sunshine! We don't blame you for bringing the thread down. It's not "down" anyway. When it is your time, if your cycles stay normal, you will get to be one of the first BFPs in that month's thread. That would be exciting!
CD 13 for me. Started OPKs yesterday and it was - so I may be a little late Oing this month too. My little brother, who is 14 is here for the week so it will be covert BDing for us! I think it's fun ;).

Welcome Pewee and Bella!!!
So sorry AF showed Sunshine glad you have a positive attitude
Jess good luck on the covert BDing, sounds fun!!
Squee I hope you or any of us don't have to see the August thread
Nothing new here, temps just keep going down little by little so I'm not even going to bother testing because I doubt that I have even Oed at all, can't wait to go to the dr to get some provera and move on to the next cycle.

Have fun covert BD'ing;):D
Chelsea~I'm trying to have a positive attitude, altho I am secretly down:( But, I am PMS< who doesnt have mood swings during these few days?:p

I would update you all on my CDs and all but I'm not sure how to figure all that out...
Btw, what is OPK? (Sorry...)
Ericka_Jarett
07-03-2006, 09:59 AM
OPK -ovulation predictor kits. supposedly tells when you are in your peak ovulation time. (they never really worked for me) similar to a HPT, if you get 1 line, you are not in your fertile period, if you get 2 lines you are in a fertile period.

Hello all. My cycles have been crazy since coming off the pill in January. We were going to start TTC in June, but I didn't ovulate then, so I'm hoping July will be our first chance to try.
I have had 4 cycles since coming off the pill:
#1 - 30 days - no problems
#2 - 68 days with ovulation
#3 - 50 days without ovulation
#4 - currently on CD14.
I am hoping cycles 2 and 3 were my body working things out. I'm hoping this cycle will be a little more normal.
Jess71903

Welcome, pootle! I hope you cycles even out for you! How were they before BC?
marriedagoalie- don't ever worry about asking ?s. We all had them at one time or another. You'll be writing in code before you know it! And just for the record, the OPKs I have always have 2 lines, but they are only + when the lines are the same shade of purple... Kinda sucks, actually, because you have to analyze the darkness of the lines.
Squee- wouldn't it be great if we all got BFPs all in one month? That would leave all newbies to continue the thread! We can dream, right??
Katiems118- I hope your waiting will pay off! Keep us updated! Waiting is the pitts!
Me- today is CD 13 (I was wrong yesterday). Neg. OPK, but watery CM (cervical mucous, for marriedagoalie :) )today, so maybe we are getting there.

•2WW: "2 week wait" - The approximate time from possible conception to menstruation due date; Pregnancy tests should be taken near the end of the 2WW.
•AF: "Aunt Flo"; Your period; Menstruation
•AO: anovulatory (cycle without ovulation)
•BBs: "boobs"; breasts
•BBL: "be back later"
•BBT: Basal Body Thermometer; This is used to measure your basal body temperature, when you wake up in the morning, after at least 3 hours of sleep, before you start to move around; Use a special BBT thermometer to take your temperature because they measure the small changes in temperature from day to day more accurately than the regular fever thermometers.
•BCP: Birth control pills
•BD'ing: "baby dancing"; baby-making intercourse
•BFN: "Big Fat Neutral" or “Big Fat Negative”; Negative pregnancy test.
BFP: Big Fat Positive, positive pregnancy test
•BRB: "be right back"
•CD: cycle day; a particular day in your menstrual cycle (example: CD1 is the first day of your period)
•CM: cervical mucous; one of the most useful clues your body can give you in predicting your fertility; it can range from dry, creamy, sticky, or (the most fertile) egg white/watery type.
•DD: "dear daughter"
•DH: "dear husband"
•DS: "dear son"
•DPO: Days Past Ovulation; number of days from your post-ovulatory temperature rise. (Example: 1DPO is the day after your ovulation)
•EPT: a brand of pregnancy test, or, generic for "early pregnancy test"
•EWCM: egg white cervical mucus; the most fertile quality CM; it is slippery, clear and stretchy, like egg whites; also EWCF
•FF: Fertility Friend, an online (free, for basic services) fertility charting site (website); (could also be formula feeding; check context)
•FM: fertility monitor
•FMU: first morning urine
•FRED: First Response Early Detection (pregnancy test)
•HTH: "hope that helps"
•HPT: home pregnancy test; a urine pregnancy test you can take at home
•IMHO: "in my humble opinion"
•IMO: "in my opinion"
•LP: luteal phase; the phase of your cycle that begins just after ovulation and continues for 10-18 days, ending with the start of your next period; during the LP, your body continues to build up the lining of your uterus, and produce hormones which would support a pregnancy; this is the time when a fertilized egg can implant into the uterine lining
•O, Oing, Oed: ovulation, ovulating, or ovulated
•OPK: ovulation predictor kit; tests for presence of LH surge that usually precedes ovulation by 12-48 hours; these tests are quite expensive and not always accurate (if you take medication or depending on your age); these are optional when charting with FF, but if your fertility data is not clear it can bring more light and help interpret difficult cases
•PCOS: polycystic ovarian syndrome (a fertility problem)
•PIAC: pee in a cup
•POAS: pee on a stick
•RE: reproductive endocrinologist
•TMI: "too much information" - There is no such thing when TTC!

Hey Ladies! I am finally back from vacation. We had a great time but it is good to be home. I haven't gotten completely caught up yet but I wanted to say welcome to bella and pootle!
Sorry to hear about Af Sunshine!
Thanks for posting that abbreviation list Ericka. I am sure it will help quite a few people. :)

Welcome.
I remember how it was to be a newbie in TTC.
Hope to see some BFP's come out of this month's thread. Can't believe there can be some March babies in here. Seems like just yesterday that I got my own BFP, just a little over 3 months to go, YIKES!!!!!

Ericka, thanks for the list of abbreviations. That will help a lot! Unfortunately, you just used one that wasn't on the list. What does BFP mean?
Jess71903
07-03-2006, 07:43 PM
Haha! That's the most important one!! BFP is Big Fat Positive, as in, pregnancy test! The opposite of that is BFN or Big Fat Negative!

Threadmistress, could you please update DH's age to 26 (his birthday was back in Feb, I just forgot to change it!) and change my TTC since date to Aug. 2005. We didn't wait to start TTC after BC. I guess I was thinking I wouldn't have the possibilty for a BFP until Sept, so that's why I put that...I donno! Thanks!!

Thanks everyone for the friendly welcomes! :)
I´m so happy right now, I could sing and dance! I just got back from my obgyn appointment and now have the official okay to TTC! :D He said I would be ovulating really, really soon which might explain why I had these mysterious pains in the uterus region since yesterday morning. I usually always ovulate on the left side and only notice a slight pain at the left ovary. But he said that this month the egg is coming from the right ovary and this is probably why I have this strange pain. I just remember that I have had this before when I ovulated on the right side.
I still had a hcg-level of 25 left on friday but since he gave me the okay, I hope it won´t hinder me from getting pg. I certainly forgot to ask that since I had so many questions. I just notice that we also didn´t talk about whether I should continue to take the monk´s pepper pills. But since ovulation is near on CD 13, they seem to work again very well!
So everything seems to be okay with me and the spotting has stopped two days ago. I hope it won´t come back again! My obgyn said that my mucous membrane in the uterus would be build up nicely (12mm) and that the egg had a good size (22mm). We´ve already tested the BD on CD 11 and since it is CD 13 today, I guess we´ll use CD 13, 14 and 15. I hope that Germany will win tonight´s soccer game or else DH might not be in the mood. ;)

Hello! I'm a longtime lurker here, but am excited to join this thread! Here are my stats:
Me: P (29) - Birthday (Nov. 5)
DH: S (29)
Married: April 19, 2003
DS/DD : None
MC/Stillbirth/Infant Loss: None
TTC since: Mid June 2006
My situation is a little complicated. I have a fairly large (size of a tennis ball) fibroid on the top of my uterus and have been having quite a bit of irregular bleeding for the past few months. I went to go see my doctor to see if the fibroid was the cause of the bleeding or if it was something else. Anyway, after many bloodtests and ultrasounds, my doctor diagnosed my with PCOS. However, since they couldn't see my right ovary during the ultrasound because the fibroid was blocking it nor am I a textbook case of PCOS, my doctor suggested that we give it a couple months before starting clomid. So here I am! :)
AF is a couple days late, so I'm beginning to get a little excited, but logically, with it being only our first time trying, my possible PCOS, and my screwy cycles, it's probably nothing, but we'll see!
Whew, that was long! But thanks for begining this valuable resource and letting me be a part of it! :)

Welcome, petunia, I hope you are pleasantly surprised right off the bat!
I think I missed welcoming you too, bella!.
Nothing much here. Another neg. OPK. Guess I'm looking at another late O. So funny that I O'd ON CD 14 for 6 months and all of a sudden it is happening a few days later! Who knows. We are a little more relaxed this month:cool: . I think our vacation helped. I still get frustrated, but we are not going for the BD marathon that we did last month. It probably did more harm than good doing it that much. DH was probably "shooting blanks" by the time I O'd  .

Threadmistress, could you please update DH's age to 22 and Mine to 20. Thanks!
CD16 here and it looks like I will have an anov cycle here. I will have to do a few more months of charting with my new therm but Im pretty sure that Im not Oing as often as I should be. I think Ill have a chat to my lung specialist about where to go with th whole cf and ttc thing. It doest seem to be working naturally!
I have a question for you ladies, If you O late does af show up a few days late aswell?? For me it pretty much sticks to the same so even if I do O late it makes my LP too short! Would be intersting what everyone else has experienced!
risa00
07-04-2006, 09:28 PM
Just subscribing to the new month.
Nothing new with me except I think I'm back to waiting to O. I had a very very light AF last week so I'm assuming that was AF. ??? My temps dropped back down but today it was 98 so who knows. I was quite upset last night. I bought a Fertility Monitor from Ebay and followed the directions online to reset the darn thing and it completely broke it. I'm thinking I'm going to have to throw it away now. For those of you thinking about reseting it, DON'T!
Hopefully this month will bring better news for all of us! :)
Jess71903
07-04-2006, 10:08 PM
Squee- The right answer to you question is that if you O late AF should show late too, making your LP the same or about the same every cycle. I am apparently like you. Last month was the first one in 6 months of charting that I didn't O on CD 14, but my cycle length stayed the same! Go figure. Anyway, don't get discouraged yet. It is still early. I know you have concerns due to CF, so I think talking to your Dr. is a good idea to see if there is anything you should be doing that someone with apparent normal health might not need to try until later.
Sorry about AF, risa! If your temp stays up I might test, though. I don't remember (although I guess I could check the front page), but if you haven't been off BC long, your AFs may be light for a while. After 10 months, mine are just getting a little heavier, but they were nearly non-existant at first. ETA: Just checked your stats. Feb, huh? Have your other AFs been this light? Also, I see you got married one week before I did! And tomorrow is your birthday! In case I forget, have a good one!!!

Welcome, petunia!
Squee, if I ovulate late, AF shows up later too. Maybe monk´s pepper tree pills would help you too to get a more regular cycle. Mine was 30-35 days before I took them and with monk´s pepper it is 28-30 days.
I really ovulated yesterday afternoon! I don´t chart but whenever I´m off BC, I really notice when I ovulate. The ovary pain got pretty bad yesterday afternoon, got better in the evening and is gone today. So we BD on CD 11 and 13 (which was yesterday) and maybe we´ll do it tonight too. But I think CD 15 would already be pretty useless. I´m glad that DH was still in the mood after we lost yesterday´s soccer match so badly. :p

Welcome to all the newbies! Sending everyone tons of baby dust this month :)
I'm on CD 15. Had watery, almost EW CM yesterday and am having pains in the left side so that is a good sign that I may O in the next couple days though with me who knows. We were on vacation so my temp times were really off and temps were way down but were back up this morning taking it at the normal time.

Wow - I was waiting for the July thread to start and here it is already on 50-something posts - wow! I'm afraid I won't be able to keep up but I would like to join and say hi :) I've been posting (when I had the chance) on the Maybe Mamas thread and this month we officially start TTC/SWH! :) If I can keep myself from buying an OPK, we'll definitely be SWH! I'm sure I'll ahve lots of questions as well ...
For my first Q - AF started yesterday - I guess that makes this CD2? Just trying ti keep aware of what's going on. I look forward to having a chance to go back and read over the thread.

I am waaay too far behind so just a couple general SO's:
Welcome to all the newbies!
Sorry to everyone who had AF show or is just having a wacky cycle.
Happy BD'ing to all about to O
And *~*~*~BABY DUST~*~*~* to everyone who is/has O'd and in the 2ww. I know this baby dust is good, because this morning we got a BFP!!! :D :D :D
I still can't believe it myself. I've been MIA because I really thought this wansn't our month and was having a really tough time with it. I had a temp drop on Saturday (cd11) and completely threw in the towel and was a mess all day, but my temp went back up the next day. I still expected af since I had no symptoms at all (though DH says I've been more emotional than normal). The first time my bb's were even slightly sore was last night (cd14) and I noticed I wasn't craving things like I usually do the night before AF & I didn't have any of my night before af stuff. I didn't temp yesterday because I had been drinking the night before (oops!) and figured if it was high then I couldn't count it and if it was low I would have a lousy fourth. When my temp was high this morning (cd15, af day) I made DH (who was already late for work) got to the store to get a test. The 2nd line is almost as dark as the first!!! Lucky thing for me since DH was now REALLY late for work (oh well, he's self-employed so I think the boss will get over it ~ LOL). I cried, and I think DH is in total awe....he had already called me on the phone just 10minutes after finally leaving for work!
If you can't tell, I think I am still in shock :D :D :D Ironically, DH and I picked out our first real contenders for names on Sunday night too ~ Carter for a boy and Michael for a girl!

Ok, so I got so excited about Mrskinnison and her BFP that I forgot to add my own update.
CD59 and I have had two high temps, pretty much any temp that I put in for tomorrow as long as it is 97.5 or higher gives me an O on CD57, we had really bad timing, we only dtd once and I never even checked for CM. I have my dr appt today for a blood test to make sure I am not pregnant and then to start me on provera. Now I can't decide if I should take it or not, I know I must not be pregnant but with such bad timing with BDing I don't think I will get pregnant this cycle and might as well start the provera just to get this cycle over with, but then a part of me wants to just wait it out for AF since if I did O she wouldn't be to farther along than if I took provera, might as well give it a couple extra days to see if that one bd did the trick right? Ahh this is the one thing I didn't want to happen, to O right about the time I was going to take provera, I had a feeling it would happen though.

My temps have been going down for the last 3 days, no signs of AF yet, and no positive tests either...I think Im having wacky cycle. I have a drs appt on the 10th so I'll go if AF hasnt shown up, if she has will have to reschedule since its just an annual exam. I wish I would just have a positive or AF, not knowing sucks...
Then again, this is my first cycle off bcp's in 9 years, the wierd thing is that my cycles were like clockwork before bcp's, not sure what the problem this month is?

MrsKinnison - Congrats!!!!!
Chelsea524 - I've had long cycles so I know your frustration.
Katiems118 - Sorry about the wacky temps. I've had a hard time coming off the pill. Hopefully, you body will work things out soon.
I am on CD16, my temps have been on a roller coaster since they dipped a few days ago. I could have ovulated yesterday, I could ovulate today, I could ovulate in 20 days, or I may not ovulate at all this cycle. All things are possible. This is my first time using a monotor and I still haven't gotten a peak reading, so I'm guessing that my temps are just playing around.

Another question - even though this is "SWH" thread - seems a lot of people chart (or at least pay attention to temps/CM) as well. is that right?
Also, even though this is only our first month TTC - would you recommend OPK's as well? I won't temp b/c I don't get up regularly enough for it to be accurate - but I will try and figure out my CM :)
Not sure what to do here - I know it's only month 1 - but I can't decide if I should OPK from the beginning or wait till next month to try that (2 of my friends got PG using OPK's).
Just overthinking things already. Also realized I'd better start the saving for baby fund - I feel like Dh and I have just been spending $$ - and if I'm going to take maternity leave at any point (unpaid) - we'd better start saving now - eek!
I'm sure these will be the first of many things I will 'overthink'. Thanks for your help!
(PS - is it terrible that I already figured out an EDD if we get lucky this month? - oy!)

Robynscott - not all people's temps vary according to waking time. Mine doesn't vary much no matter what time I get up. During the week I am up at 4 but not always on the weekends and there is rarely much variation. Charting really does help especially if you are like me and trying to determine if you actually O or not. CM is a difficult thing to get the hang of in the beginning. I am still working on it :D

Yay! A huge Congrats to MrsKinnison! So excited for you!
Happy Birthday to Risa! If you continue to have high temps I agree that you may want to test to make sure. There was another person in here that had that happen and she was actually pg!
Welcome to Petunia and RobynScott! I hope you both aren't around too long.
Yay for getting the go ahead and Oing Bella. I hope you get a BFP in a couple weeks. I hope I am right there with you too because I Oed yesterday too. :D
Jess~I hate the late O. I had that happen to me this month too. I Oed about 10 days later than I thought I was going to. I was starting to worry that I wasn't going to O my last cycle before testing. I hope you O soon!
Sorry that you think it is going to be an annov cycle, Squee. Why do you think it's going to be annov instead of a late O? I hope you are wrong and you just O late. There are a couple of us ladies in that boat this month. I agree with jess that your LP should stay about the same each cycle. I hope talking to your doctor gives you some peace of mind (and success).
Mel~I hope you O soon and the sperm and egg meet and have a very long 'date.' ;)
I think I would just wait and see a little longer, Chelsea. Easier said than done, I know, but you never know. It only takes once and sometimes even if bd happens a couple days before O it can still happen. Crossing my fingers for you! Thanks for the heads up on Betsyboop. I'll go move her to grads!
Sorry about the wacky temps Katie. What Cd are you on? I hope you are able to get some answers at the doctor...and hopefully that answer is that you are pg!
Pootle~Have you gotten a high reading on the monitor yet? I just ask because I am using one and I usually have 3-5 days of high readings before the peak reading. I hope you get that reading soon.
Thanks for the babydust Zhanna!
RobynScott~When I think of SWH I think of people who aren't temping. Even though this is SWH, I think some of the ladies are temping because they started here and wanted to stick around and we are all happy to keep them. The ladies here are great and it is hard to leave once you form bonds with some of them. As far as the OPK....I would say that is up to you. If it is going to help you feel better about the whole process then go for it. I dont' think that you are bad for figuring out your possible EDD. I did that when we first started trying because I was so excited and it gave me something to look forward to. I would start saving $$. Dh and I have been saving some money every month to help with the cost of all the baby stuff and with the expense of me not working for several months. I figure every little bit helps. Anyway that was really long winded.
Me~I am pretty sure I Oed yesterday. I had peak readings on the monitor on Monday and yesterday, but I felt the pains yesterday to go with the reading. We covered ourselves really well this month and we are hoping the vacation relaxation will help in getting pg. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow for an annual and to talk about starting the fertility testing process. I am nervous but happy that we are moving forward. We are really hoping we were successful this month so we don't have to do much testing at all (if any).

I don´t chart too because I´ve read that you need to have a certain amount of sleep every night and I often sleep less than that. I also don´t pay attention to my CM since that is nothing for me. That is why I joined here instead of the charting thread. I figured here you can either chart, use OPKs or just SWH.
I have also never used OPKs and will only start that if SWH doesn´t work soon enough for me. I´m lucky to have light ovary pains when I O and so for me they would be a waste of money in most cycles.
And I´m with you on the EDD - I just had a look today at an EDD-calculator, just in case. ;) Mine would be March 28th.

Why don´t you tell them that you are on antibiotics for some reason? You are not allowed to drink while on AB and you could act really bummed. ;)

And I´m with you on the EDD - I just had a look today at an EDD-calculator, just in case. ;) Mine would be March 28th.
Yeah - mine would be April 10th. And then I figured if we waited till next month, our future bambino's birthday might fall during finals (happened to friends of mine all the time in college) - so April would be better :p Obviously, we will be happy and blessed whenever it happens, but at least for now, a girl can think about that stuff, right? Aalthough in April, bambino's birthday could fall during Passover making it hard to celebrate - I think we'll just take our chances and hope to get blessed with a healthy baby. (I swear I am not making serious decisions based on what I just wrote - just fun to think about :))

I've been telling people that I have an ear infection and I'm taking antibiotics, therefore - I can't drink any alcohol. It's been working for me for about 2 months now... :) (with different groups of people, of course)

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes! and CONGRATULATIONS MrsKinnison! Best wishes to you and your DH for a happy and healthy 9 months! Hopefully your good fortune will rub off on the rest of us! As for the drinking, I agree with the antibiotics thing, although I'll bet your friends will still ask and be suspicious! :)
As for me....who knows? Still no AF but I guess we'll see what happens. I'm thinking that I mis-calculated the date of ovulation so I tried an OPK which came up O'ing, but I'm still skeptical.

I posted about it. It is herbal and very popular here in Germany if you have irregular cycles, are low on progesterone, have AF cramps and/or want to get pg. Here is a description I´ve copied:
Other Common Names: Agno Casto, Agnocasto, Bish Barmagh Aghaji, Chaste Tree, Daribrahim, Gatilier, Hayit, Hemp Tree, Kaff Maryam, Keuschlamm, Lilac Chastetree, Lygos, Monk'S Pepper, Monk's Pepper Tree, Monks Pepper, Panjangusht, Pepper, Monks, Poivre De Moine, Ranukabija, Sauzgatillo, Seiyo-Ninzin-Boku, Shajerat Ebrahim, Vitex, Vitex agnus-castus
Range: Europe; France; Germany; India; Iraq; Italy; Kurdistan; Mediterranean; Sanscrit; Spain; Turkey; USA
Habitat: Damp places by streams and on the littoral
Agnus castus has been used for thousands of years for its beneficial affect on the female hormonal system. Modern research has confirmed this use, the seeds being used to restore balanced functioning to the female reproductive system.
The seeds and fruits are anaphrodisiac, aphrodisiac, galactogogue, ophthalmic, sedative, stomachic, women's complaints. Prolonged usage restores corpus luteum function.
The berries of this plant have a range of medicinal actions but possibly the most important is its ability to rectify hormonal imbalances caused by an excess of oestrogen and an insufficiency of progesterone. It acts upon the pituitary gland, reducing the production of certain hormones and increasing the production of others, shifting the balance in favour of the gestagens. Thus it has a wide application of uses in malfunctions of the feminine reproductive system and has been used with great effect in restoring absent menstruation, regulating heavy periods, restoring fertility when this is caused by hormonal imbalance, relieving pre-menstrual tension and easing the change of the menopause. Some caution is advised since excessive doses can cause a nervous disorder known as formication, which manifests as a sensation of insects crawling over the skin.
The berries are considered to be an aphrodisiac, though other reports say that they are anaphrodisiac. The reason for this apparent disagreement is that the berries have a regulating effect on the body and so are likely to increase sexual activity in those who are not very active in this area whilst reducing it in those who are very active.
The fresh berries are pounded to a pulp and used in the form of a tincture for the relief of paralysis, pains in the limbs, weakness etc.
ETA: It has really helped me. We had SWH for over a year without success and then I got pg during the 4th cycle with monk´s pepper. Hope it´ll be as fast this time but at least I already ovulated on CD 13 which was the 15th day I took monk´s pepper again.

If you have normal cycles of 28 days long, most likely would O on day 14 or 15. If your cycles are longer than 28 days it will be different. But it is different for lots of ladies, some will O earlier (rare but have heard it happen) or later, closer to 20 days or more. There is also a chance that you don't O at all every cycle. That is very common to have what they call annovulatory cycles, which is not Oing that month.
For me I was having cycles of 33 days long and would O on day 22-23 usually

You will have to wait out 2 or 3 cycles if you are not pregnant before than to see what your body will do naturally. You can't really base your O day on what your "artificial" cycles were, once your BCP wear out of your system you will be able to watch and calculate your days a little easier. My doctor mentioned to me that few women actually have natural 28 day cycles. You can have an idea of when you will possibly O at least while coming off BCP. Hopefully you won't have to wait long to get that BFP

Quick update, sorry no time for shout outs.
Went to my Dr appt, pregnancy test came back negative, I knew it would, got a perscription for provera but I think I am going to wait to fill it for another day or two, when I put in a temp for tomorrow, anything 97.6 or higher shows I Oed so I will wait and see, if no O then I will fill the perscription. Dr thinks that I have a thyroid problem based off of cycles of mine in the past and the fact that I am always tired and have gained a lot of weight in the last 5 years when I am really trying to lose weight. So he took some blood for that and I should find out the results in the next day or two I think. I forgot that I am due for my yearly pap next month, need to make sure I get in to my OB/GYN for that.
I will be back tomorrow to catch up on all the shout outs.

Marriedagoalie~I can understand trying to keep it going. I wasn't the best about testing with the fertility monitor and was worried we may miss O or already had. Little did I know I was just Oing late. We had to keep it going for about 10 days. It was mostly fun, but last night was kind of hard after bding earlier that day. (Sorry if TMI)
MrsK~I agree with the other ladies. Pull the antibiotic card and act bummed. That or the my stomach has been bothering me lately usually work for me. If they are suspicious just wait until the concert to get a drink when you can get rid of it. If you don't think that will work, maybe if there is one that you are particularly close with and can trust with that secret maybe clue her in and she can be your accomplise and switch glasses with you. Have fun!
Do you mean you tried an OPK today that came up +, petunia? That doesn't make much sense. I hope you are able to figure it out soon.
Interesting Bella. What form do you take it in?
I think I Oed yesterday too, dancn! I hope we can both celebrate BFPs together in about two weeks.
Twylla~I feel your pain on being on the 12th month of TTC. I am at the same point. I have been discouraged lately and although I am glad we are taking the step I am scared too that I have an appointment to talk about testing. I hope we both get some good news soon!
Chelsea~Hopefully you will be able to get some answers soon. Interesting on the thyroid issue. I have heard that can cause issues when TTC. What would you do if it comes back tht there may be an issue?

Thanks so much everyone for the birthday wishes! :) At work today hardly anyone said anything, but it wasn't until I came home that my husband made me dinner and bought me flowers and a present and such. Then I get on here and everyone made my day! :D
My temp dropped way down today to 96.9 so I do now know I'm not pregnant. My periods before this but after BCP have been normal so this was just a fluke month. I do have a good feeling for July though so let's hope for a BFP at the end of the month. :)

Ericka: Actually, if I remember correctly, my body was on about a 29-32 day cycle before I got on birth control over 2 years ago. It was pretty consistent and *knock on wood* I never missed a cycle so maybe I can just plan off of that type of a cycle. Would being on birth control change my cycle up? I guess that's probably a silly question... I'm sure it would!
Twylla: So sorry to hear that you are on month #12. Bless your heart. Keep your head up! I'm sure it will happen for you soon!
Chelsea524: Sorry about the BFN (eventhough you already knew that was how it was going to be). I'm sure it's stil a tad disappointing.
looty: No worries. That was not TMI at all. Hubby and I are now officially on a 6 day streak... is there such a thing as BD'ing too much? Hubby says no. ;)
Ericka_Jarett
07-05-2006, 09:40 PM
So your most fertile time would be between like 14-20 days going from past cycles, but of course with being on BCP it will probably be a few cycles until you know for sure. As for BDing too much, I won't say do it every other day, as I didn't do that. We BD for like 3 days, 1 day off 3 days and 1 day off. You can see my chart in my journal (it's linked in the first post down near the January/February 2006 postings.
About those that chart in here, as mentioned this is a starting point for so many, we make friends and just hate to leave if we start charting, move to IVF or are pregnant. Heck I'm an example of that, here I am at 27 weeks pregnant. :) I'm waiting to see BFP's for those that have been here with me for a while.

Chelsea, sorry for the BFN!
Looty, here in Germany you can buy monk´s pepper at the pharmacy without a prescription. Still you should talk to your doctor before taking it. It´s available as a liquid and as pills. I´m taking one pill each day since I´ve heard that the liquid tastes horribly. They are small pills (like BCP) and easy to swallow.
We didn´t BD yesterday as I was too tired. I didn´t want to put that much pressure on it and so I decided that BD on O-day and two days before it had to do. If it´s meant to be, it has to do. Apart from that I had just read on a medical website that BD has to take place at least 12 hours before you O and otherwise it would be useless. ;) So just in case that´s right, we will BD each day from CD 10-14 next month.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!! So far its turned out to be a pretty lousey birthday but hopefully that will change as its only 8am. Temp was down this morning and so no crosshairs on my chart, I was bummed but ok with that because we really didn't do well at all on BDing so I don't think we would have gotten pregnant anyways. I asked dh to get my perscription filled because he works right next to the pharmacy and went off saying that he didn't want to do that, he didn't want to medicate me to get pregnant, that this whole thing has turned way to scintific and not about just having fun BDing. I told him the only reason I am charting is to see if I am even Oing, that it doesn't tell me I'm going to O and we have to BD and we just got into a little fight about the whole thing, after he left for work I sat down and cried quite a bit. He wants it all to happen naturally and so do I but he thinks even if I don't O at all even 12 months from now he doesn't want to have any medication involved.
Sorry for the long post, just upset at the moment.

Chelsea, I´ve posted in your journal.
MarriedaGoalie, my DD was conceived on CD 11 and if you´d like to have a girl, it´s best to start some days before you O. So I wouldn´t leave out CD 11 and 12 (at least if you´d like to have a girl). I really appreiciate you sticking around and checking on us Ericka. So sweet, plus I think you are one of the more knowledgeable ladies here so it's helpful too. :)
I see, Bella. I don't know if I want to take it or notbut I was wondering what form it was in. I guess I could ask my doctor about it today since it looks like it is pretty useful. You have a great attitude about the bd'ing. I hope it worked!
I hope you feel better by the time you O, Lauren. I'll hope it's a 24 hour bug rather than a 48 hour one. ;) Good luck!
Sorry to hear that your Dh didn't wake you up, Mel. I know how being upset you may have missed it can be but I just looked it up and the EWCM can last for days and you are fetile the whole time. If you still have some today maybe you can still catch that egg.
Chelsea~Sorry you aren't having a gerat birthday right now. I can understand where you're coming from as my Dh used to be that way too. After we tried for several months his story changed a little. After 3 or 4 months he was fine with OPKs. After 6 months he was fine with the fertilty monitor. Now that it's been a year he is the one who has been talking up the testing and was urging me to try to get an earlier appointment. So he may change his mind soon enough...although I hope he doesn't have a chance before you get your BFP. I hope your day turns around.
Marriedagoalie~I think a break might be good if you guys are getting tired. We usually don't go on a streak like that but due to being on vacation and imprending O we did it. I was starting to drag a bit by the end of it (when it was most important) so I would take a break if you can. My DH agrees wholeheartedly with yours. ;)
***Warning TMI alert***
When I wiped this morning I had a lot of EWCM on the toilet paper. I thought this was weird because I thought I already O'ed but maybe not. I am a little blah about it because we didn't bd last night due to me having my annual today. I thought I already O'ed because I had some pretty slippery CM (don't really check CM but it was just noticeable both times) and had some pains on my side. Hmmm....I guess I will try to get Dh tonight and hope that we covered ourselves. I will be back later today to update what my doctor said and what steps we are going to take. <nervous>

Happy birthday Chelsea! I'm sorry to hear about your fight with DH, but hope your day is looking up!
So here's a question for all of you.... Is it really possible to TTC without getting totally obsessed? My original thought was DH and I would just take everything as it comes. All of a sudden, I find myself completely wrapped up in TTC, hearing about people who are pregnant, etc. I even feel like every commercial on TV is one for an HPT!!! Babies and pregnancies seem to be everywhere and now I find myself totally fixated. Is this happening with anyone else? Maybe I should just relax.....! :)

marriedagoalie - do you have the link you can post to your chart, maybe that will help. (it will look like this under sharing, homepage- http://www.fertilityfriend. com /home/ ??????)
Personally, I think since you just got off BCP, you should just slow down a bit, maybe see how this cycle length goes, you don't want to be exhausted and uninterested when it would really matter most. I know it's hard, just don't want you to get let down if you don't get a BFP this month. I tried for 2 yrs to get pregnant, when it happened it was a surprise, since I was 14 weeks when I realized I was even pregnant. After my daughter I was allowed to try again 2 months after and it took me 7 months to get pregnant with my now son. I hope you get a BFP shortly.
You can't really go by that whole if you BD these days you will have a girl and closer to O day, you will have a boy. Here is my chart for this cycle: chart (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/22964)

marriedagoalie- make sure you didn't accidentally put in light flow or something under the Menses/spotting part on the 2nd start date. That's the usual culprit!
petunia- I think most of us get totally wrapped up in it! Just the knowledge that I *could* be pg is exciting and drives my psychosis. You're normal :)
Katiems, sorry about AF but good that you have a nice normal cycle length after coming off BC
I meant to say too, Erika, Thanks for sticking around! You are a big help and a motivation. It CAN happen!!
looty- sorry for the confusing fertile signs. Even knowing everything we know, it can't just be cut and dry, can it?? I hope your dr. can help you understand why it's been a year and what you can do to keep it from getting any longer!
Chelsea- same to you as looty...sheesh! Why can't signs just be either there or not!! I am sorry this cycle isn't coming together for you. I am equally sorry that DH doesn't understand, but you can't expect him to. I think we all had the hope of it all just happening naturally, but that's just not realistic for some of us. Don't feel guilty for wanting to know what's going on with your body. Heck, I wish they had told us about charting in high school health class. Not that I was having sex, but it would have been a lot more useful than the crap we did get taught! It is good to know what your body is doing, even if not TTC. I have a feeling he will slowly get used to it if it takes yall a while. Mine sure did. He is the one telling me to make a Dr.s appt now. The ego thing kicked in with him after about 6 month- he was so afraid it was his fault we weren't getting pg, so he bit the bullet and went for a SA. I never would have thought!!!

That's good married. Didn't mean to seem like you are going crazy with it. Just hate to see when people just coming off BCP get their hopes up and than they fall so fast from disappointment. It's good that you are checking to see what day you are on, how your body works now that you are off BCP and just seeing what happens. The road to TTC is a journey and glad to know you are on it. You have a good attitude and learning what you can is important. Our bodies sure are amazing.

Sorry about Af Katie. That stinks. I know that if your cycle is a little longer than you expect it to the reality is harder to take. Hopefully next month will end differently.
Petunia~I agree that it is really ahrd to not get wrapped up in the whole TTC thing. I am pretty relaxed about things generally but like you I swore the minture were TTC everyone was pregnant or had babies. It's an exciting (and sometimes frustrating) thing so it's hard not to get wrapped up in it.
Thanks Jess. I didn't get any outcomes I wasn't expecting but we are moving forward. Read below.
Hope everyone is having a good afternoon.
I am back from my doctor's appointment and she said that according to my info I brought in to her it looks like I am consistently Oing. She did send me to get some blood drawn for check my thyroid level and the prolactin level. She also sent me home with instructions and a cup for DH's semen analysis and general information on infertility testing and treatment. She said if neither of those show anthing we will schedule an HSG. I have heard those are painful so I am hoping to aviod that.

Sunshine: I just put the first day of AF in and that is showing up as CD1. Is that incorrect?

Looty, I´ve read so often now that infertility among many other things is often related to the thyroid. I have to get mine checked after the m/c again too. So it´s good that they did some testing. What is a HSG?

Just a fly by post, I am in meetings ALL_DAY today so I will come in and do individual shout outs tonight.
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, I had a rough day yesterday but I am better today, DH and I have agreed to stop charting for a few months, if I am still having long cycles then we will start again but we will give it at least two cycles first, and for that DH agreed that we can continue TTC even if it puts the due date Oct-Jan, that is his hunting season and its usually busy with him hunting and guiding other hunters, plus christmas season.

Just wanted to come by real quick. Had my dr appt yesterday (annual exam) and we talked about TTC. Things seem good, got a prescrip for some vitamins, and we talked a bit.
I've had sticky CM for the past two days, so we're going to get busy and DTD. I also had some cramping yesterday, which makes me feel optimistic about this month.

married~No, thats right. The first day of red flow is day 1 of your cycle! I guess I just got confused looking at your chart b/c it doesnt show when you had AF for me, and it looked like you were on a BD marathon....which is kind of early if AF just ended. But your pretty well there now!
Thats all:) Just thought i would ask, also b/c you said your chart was all screwy for some reason!
Chelsea~So are you still going to stick around here? WHatever happens, I will be hoping that this break brings you great luck and a BFP:)
Best of luck to you! And I am happy that today is better for you!
MrsJackson~HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday MrsJackson!
Bella~I have heard that about the thyroid too. An HSG is where they shoot dye up in your uterus and tubes to check for blockages and such.
I hope your cycles shorten, Chelsea. I remember when I got to 48 days it was horrible. I can't imagine that beinging the norm or going longer. Itsn't it funny how plans of stopping TTC get changed after you're into it? We did the same thing. Hunting is big around here too. What kind of hunting does your DH do?
Good luck Lauren! Glad everything checked out at the doctors.
How far from O are you Sunshine? I just ask because I know we were on the same timeline before I had such a delayed O.

No problem, Sunshine. I appreciate all the help! :) ...and we are on a BDing marathon. LOL It's not even because of actually trying to conceive. It's weird. Ever since I have been off of birth control, I've really been in the mood. Sorry if that's TMI.

Im supposed to O on the 22nd, at least I think that is right...we had some bad news today, my husbands mother was just diagnosed with Parkinson's. DH is not taking it very well, and since we live 1000 miles away from them it tough...She told him at our wedding that she wanted a grand daughter, so hopefully we can make that happen this month!

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Jackson!! I hope you've had a good day!
I am so sorry Katie! That's a tough diagnosis. I hope your husband can deal with things and be ok with it. Treating it has come a long way in the last 10 years. I hope you can give your MIL a grand-daughter (or son) very soon!
Chelsea- I am sorry things have been rough for you, but it sounds like you guys have reached a compromise you can both live with. I hope it works out for you and your cycles regulate on their own!
Me- negative OPK today. Yesterdays was WAY positive- test line was darker than the control. so I guess I O'd sometime yesterday. YAY!

katiems118: I'm so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law!! Finding out news like that completely puts life into perspective, doesn't it? A few months ago when I found out my grandfather had cancer, I wanted to have a baby so badly so that he could see him/her before he passes and since my father-in-law passed away a couple of weeks ago, my husband has been feeling the same way. His mother has lupus and so he wants to make sure that his mother gets to meet our children since his father won't. It's just amazing how it changes everything...
Me: I've been having pains in my side today, like I usually have when I O. We are keeping the BD'ing streak alive! :)

Hello ladies!!!
Well, I'm back from my vacation to see where DH grew up in Montana. I am not even going to attempt shoutouts except to say welcome to all the newbies and good luck to all those BDing, testing, etc :)
And Congratulations to MrsKinnison!!!!
I'm CD23 today, clueless as to when I might have O'd, been drinking like a fish during the 2ww (because that is apparently what you do for entertainment in small town MT :o ), and no symptoms except for sore BB's, which is totally normal. :p

Sounds like you had a nice time, even if all there was to do was drink;) We travelled on the I15 through Montana heading to Vegas, and it looked like a beautiful state! And we even found a town that my DH shares a name with! LOL!

This thread is moving crazy fast! Ill just do some replies..
Bellabonga The weird thing is I have a pretty regular cycle its almost always 28days. The only problem I seem to be having at the moment is no Oing. Its a new therm this month so maybe Ill try both next month and see if thats the problem. Thanks for the suggestion tho!
Robynscott I have very irregular waking times so what I do is have my alarm set for 7:30am(Im never up before then) every morning and take it then fall back to sleep. As long as your therm has memory its fine. Tho once or twice I have fallen asleep with the them still going to wake up a couple of hrs later with it floating around in the bed lol:o
Looty Main reason I think it will be is that Im pretty sure that after about cd 16 if I dont O Im not going to and af will arrive on time or maybe a couple of days late. Im prety regular with af showing up tho. Im not sure really tho. Unless I actually had blood tests telling me that I was Oing I wouldnt fully trust being told I am by anything like charting or even OPKs it just doesnt seem real sometimes. Hard to explain I guess:confused:
Im pretty sure I still havnt Oed I would expect af to arrive in about 8days. I will be away when shes expected so hopefully I wont be too upset when she does.

Happy Birthday (yesterday) MrsJackson!
Looty, Hope you can avoid the HSG by getting a BFP this month! DH is a duck hunter, the longest hunting season around here I think, I’m pretty much a widow from Oct through mid January.
Ericka, I’m so glad you are sticking around with us, you are getting pretty close, I remember with DS#2 when the count down days got below 100 I was so excited.
Katie, sorry about your husbands mother, sending good thoughts your way
Lauren, glad you had a good dr appt, is sticky CM come before or after O? I have no idea but for some reason thought it came right after O, either way, hope you catch the egg!!
Sunshine, yes I will be sticking around here, still ttc but no more charting, at least not for a few more months.
Married, have fun BDing, hope you catch the egg
Jess, Yay on Oing, I hope you caught the egg!!!
Do we have any testers at all??? Good luck anyone that is testing and happy BDing to all those waiting to O!!
Nothing new with me, CD 62, third day on provera just waiting to finish it up and hopefully af will show quickly afterwards.

I will be testing soon. I am at CD27, and I think 8 DPO. I'm going to try to hold off until Wednesday. I'm not even sure if I have any tests left, I guess I need to check that. I'm hopeful, but not really expecting to get a BFP. I'm not sure why--we did an excellent job of covering all the bases this cycle, but maybe I have just seen too many BFNs to believe we'll get a +. We are going on vacation next month, part of which will be at Disney World, so at least if I'm not PG I can ride all the rides without worrying and get my drink on by the pool every day. :D

thanks Chelsea. It is probably going to be shorter than my signature states, since will probably deliver around 37 weeks instead of 40. (diabetes and cervix issue) So anywhere from 6.5 - 9 weeks to go. Hoping for more time though for baby to keep baking. Time seems to be flying at least for the first few months, of course now with bedrest it feels like it's dragging on.

Good luck Sadie and Peewee! I hope you will get us on a streak for July.
We dropped Dh's SA off this morning and they said the dr will have the results tomorrow morning so we'll see if there are any issues there. Dh is sure it is him, but who knows. If I don't get Af by the 18th I will test. I should be 14 DPO and I have a dental appointment where they will want to take xrays. Keeping my fingers crossed so we don't have to worry about any of this testing.

Hello Ladies!
I am hoping some of you can help me out with a few questions. I just started charting this cycle and am wondering what norm temps are. I am on CD 16 and my highest temp was on CD8 at 98.1 and my lowest has been 97.7. we BD'd on CD 8. I have been having strange cramps for the past couple of days and have also been nausiated (sp). What do you think? I'm new to this and don't want to get my hopes up too soon. CD8 seems too soon to O, however my temps didn't drop very much after that. Any comments would be great! Thanks :)

Mrs.Jackson, happy belated birthday!
Katie, I´m sorry about your MIL. My grandpaIL has Parkinson too but he refused to get treatments (he is over 80 and has lived with Parkinson for over 15 years now). But as far as I know the treatments have improved enormously. I´m sending you good thoughts.
Sadie and Pewee, good luck testing!
Looty, I hope your DH´s SA comes back with a positive result!
Caseybear, welcome! I´ve never charted, so I have no clue.
Nothing really new here. I went for another hcg-test today first thing in the morning to see whether it finally dropped. Yesterday night I thought about it and slightly panicked because I thought that I might find out today if I´m pg or not by the result. But then I realized that I´m only 6DPO. As far as I know you can get a BFP at 10DPO with an EPT that gets positive at a hcg level of 10. According to that even if I were pg the hcg had to be >10 at 6DPO.
So there´s no way I could know today whether I am pg or not. My level probably still won´t be zero and I can´t tell anything from whether it´s 10 or 16. I´m quite relieved by that because although I do not think it might have happened that soon, there´s still hope left. :D At least my skin got rather bad :( and that usually happens when some sort of hormonal change takes place. Might be because I stopped the pill but I also had that at the beginning of my pregnacy and during the m/c.
I will still try to wait with testing until 16-20DPO if AF doesn´t show up earlier and if I don´t lose patience...

Looty- I will be checking back to see how the #s on your DH turned out. Mine was sure it was him too, and his were great. I'll be thinking about you today!
Seems like there are a few of us at various places in the 2WW. I hope it brings us a string of BFPs!!!
caseybear- you might want to head over to the charting thread. A few of us in here chart, but that's just because we started out seeing what happens and never left. Also, when you go over there, post the link to your chart so we can look at what you're talking about.

Well I'm on CD15. I don't know if I'm reading too much into things, but I really have felt different the last couple of days. I have just felt really "relaxed". I honestly don't know how to explain it, but we'll see if it amounts to anything. I'm pretty sure I O'd on Friday (CD12). That seems really early to me, but I had some pains in my side, which gives me some indication that I might have O'd. Anyways, we'll see. I'll probably just wait to see if/when AF shows up.

DH and I had a good weekend, so I'm hoping this will be the month for us. I had lots of EWCM Friday-Sunday. I had some cramping on Friday and CM is watery today and will likely be dry by Wednesday, so I think I must have ovulated over the weekend. Let's hope so, poor DH is exhausted :p !

Welcome Caseybear! I have no experience charting but I would say generally, even though every woman is different, that CD 8 is a little too early to O. It could be possible, I suppose.
Bella~I hope the SA comes back positive too. I will probably end up calling this afternoon if I haven't heard anything because I am already ansty. I am hoping that you are pg, but I have no idea if it would show up on the hcg or not. I am totally clueless about that stuff. I hate those hormonal breakouts. I get those before Af too. Boo!
Sorry to hear that you still aren't Oing Mel. I think that it's great that you are getting to the dr early. I hope you are able to get your O regualted and a BFP really quickly!
Hey Jess! I don't know if my dr is going to call today or not. The lab tech told me that they would have the results this morning, so I assume they would. I don't know if she is going to wait until she has all the results or not. I thought if she didn't call today I would call tomorrow but I will probably cave and call this afternoon. I hope we get a string of BFPs too!
I hope your relaxation is a good sign of things to come for you Marriedagoalie. CCD 12 is early for me to O but it isn't too early for me to believe it could happen. If you had the pains I would say you are probably right. Wishing you a BFP in about 2 weeks!
Sounds like you and your DH covered yourselves really well, Lauren. I hope that results in a BFP!

Hello Everyone! I have been MIA for a crazy long time. Apologies. I was trying to keep the TTC process low stress (of course I FAILED MISERABLY). I have, however, been lurking faithfully. Nothing new to report for me. I am on CD 13 and waiting to O.
Two quick questions. Has anyone heard of green tea delaying O? I read one post to that effect and it scared me. I've been drinking green tea and grapefruit juice religiously and would hate to think that the longer cycles I've been having are from the green tea. Also, I know others have posted this question a few months back, but how do you tell the diff between CM and "contributed fluids"? I used to think that I could tell, but I now realized that I was dead wrong. And since we BD right when I should see EWCM, I just never know. I really don't think that I make any. Also, how do you tell the diff b/n CM and well, how to put this delicately, arousal fluids? I read the section in TCOYF on the subject, and remain as confused as ever. I can just imagine taking a cup of water in the bathroom at work and attempting to obtain a sample of fluid to test for whether it floats or sinks ... oy .... i never thought that I would spend this much time and energy on cervical fluid ........
I am trying to do selected shout outs as I make my way back into the thread... apologies if I missed pple, I am just so behind.
Marriedagoalie, I totally hear you on the BD marathon after BCP. a few times when we decided to "conserve swimmers" for better timing, i was pretty pissed. some days i feel like a teenage boy:o
katie, I am so sorry about your mother-in-law. i hope you have some good news soon to bring much needed cheer to the family. our thoughts are with you
Jess, congrats on Oing. I just love seeing that second line turn dark (gotta get at least one positive test a month, right?) :D I am sure you covered all your bases, but I was told that you want to also BD the day after the positive OPK (and perhaps even the day after that) since it is just a predictor. we had stopped too early one cycle, so just wanted to mention it.
lanapoo, welcome back from your vacation. hoping for good news for you soon.
Chelsea, wishing you AF, odd as that sounds around here.
Good luck Sadie and Peewee and any other testers.
Looty, goodluck with the SA results.
Caseybear, CD 8 seems a little early, but who knows? Hope this is it for you. Perhaps the ladies in the charting thread would know?
Bella, good luck with the test.
Lauren, sounds like you guys had great timing .
Not sure if you are still here, but CONGRATULATIONS Mrs Kinnison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I was SO thrilled to learn of your BFP. I was feeling down, and when you were posting about things taking longer than you expected, I was just nodding my head in agreement as I read. I haven't been trying for that long, but after years of worrying about an "oops" and stressing, I guess I had on some level expected an unrealistically fast BFP. I keep reminding myself that this is a random process. It's like playing cards, even if the odds are good that you win, some win on their first try and some don't. And just because it didn't happen instantly, doesn't mean it won't happen the next month. It is just random and I need to be patient. I have no idea if that made any sense. I guess my point is that I was feeling down just like you and then you got your BFP. It just gave me hope that (even if it is not this month or next) my BFP may be around the corner. H&H 9 moths to you!!!!
