I missed a lot! I think CC ate a post yesterday, though, because I was sure I welcomed Charliez back to TTc.! Anyway, welcome again, and welcome to Motray
Huge Congrats to lauren and married!!! The newbies are on a roll! Since yall are due so early in April, there may not be a thread up yet. Keep checking. I am sure there will be one soon. I already calculated when I would be due if I got pg this month and assuming I have a normal cycle this month. It would be like the 28th of April, so I *could* be there with you too! (I hope, I hope, I hope!).
Looty- I am glad your mom will be able to go with you tomorrow! If I have to have one of those, I will have to be sure Tony can come. Glad you had a good B-day!
Sorry about AF dancn!
Hang in there, sunshine! I feel your pain! Even though I am super thrilled for every BFP, it does sting a little!

Congrats Lauren and Married!!! One of you ladies should start the April thread. I know one other person that will be joining you on that thread most likely. She may wait a little while yet though. If you need help just let me know. I am one of the threadmistresses for the October thread.
Hard to believe there are April moms-to-be already, sometimes seems like just yesterday I got my BFP and graduated from this thread as threadmistress and mommy-to-be.
Looty - sorry for the delay, Happy Birthday

Copied from TTC thread:
Hi Everyone!
I've been MIA from here for I think over a month because I've been too scared to post for fear that something bad would happen with my pregnancy. However, I am finally ready to be graduated with a due date of February 16th! I had a scare for a while with some minor bleeding and concern after being diagnosed with a bicornuate uterus. I read a lot on the internet and was really worried. I'm still worried, but my Dr. says everything looks good so far for 10 weeks and that she thinks I'll do better than the internet info suggests, so we're thinking positive now, although cautiously. Basically my uterus has two smaller 'horns' instead of one nice big cavity. With this defect, the baby can run out of room to grow. Some miscarry, some are premature, and some go full term. It's likely I'll go premature at some point(hopefully late) and it will be a c-section as the baby has no room to turn head down, but we'll do everything we can(bed rest & drugs if necessary) to keep the baby in there as long as possible. I was hesitant to write anything, but missed the CC community, so I'm back and will join the February mommies thread and keep coming around to drop babydust here. We would appreciate good thoughts for us and if you pray, please add us to your prayers.
Threadmistress, please graduate me with EDD 02/16/07 and change my age to 33, and DH's to 45 and known defect bicornuate uterus.
I've missed you all and will continue to monitor your progress. I offer my congratulations to all new BFP's since I've been gone and sincere encouragement and gobs of babydust to everyone else.

dancn~Sorry about af. I hope this cycle ends differently.
RobynScott~I hope murphy's law kicks in for you too, if not at least you will be ready next cycle.
Thanks for the b-day wishes Lana. I hope you are able to take advantage of your Dh when he gets home.;)
Hey Jess! I am glad my mom can come tomorrow too. I hope you get some answers at your appointment tomorrow too.
Thanks Ericka!
That's great lilhimley! Offering my full congrats now!:D
My mom is going to be taking me tomorrow for my HSG. I am glad to have some moral support and a back up driver for in case it is painful. I am hoping it isn't, but I guess I'll find out soon enough.

FSUSammy, I havenīt tried green tea since Iīm not much of a tea drinker and I didnīt know that green tea is available as pills. What is it supposed to do? The same as grapefruit juice?
I wish you good luck for your HSG today, looty! Itīs great that your mom is so supportive.
lauren, good luck with the blood work! I hope your hcg level is okay.
Jess, my EDD would be April 25th, so there is still hope here too to join them. ;)
dancn, sorry about AF!
lilhimley, congratulations and happy and healthy nine months to you! I hope youīll make it until February - as a Valentineīs Day mom I can tell you itīs a great month to have a baby. :D
RobynScott, I hope the OPKs will do the trick - this month or next. ;)
AF has been gone yesterday all day but returned in the evening. WTF?! I planned to go swimming with DD today in the afternoon, so Iīm less than thrilled.
Apart from that Iīm planning to try Marriedagoalieīs approach since she was so successful. Although I have no clue how Iīm supposed to survive such a BD marathon... :p

Congrats lilhimley!
Bella - AF has done that a couple times to me, very annoying :(
looty - I am so happy your Mom will be with you. That must be a relief :)
I'm on CD 7. my tests were just blood work so I got that done yesterday. DH is going to try to get his SA done today. Got home to a message from my doctor's office saying my insurance company will not pay for anything till we have been trying for a year :( After I stopped crying :o I called them myself and this is not the case so I will call my drs today and get that straightened out. The last thing I want is to be trying for another 6 months and then have to start all this over again.
FSUSammy
07-25-2006, 04:06 AM
Bella - Yup the green tea is supposed to do the same as grapefruit juice. I'd say give the grapefruit juice a try and if it doesn't work out go to green tea. I can't stand the taste of drinking it so that's why I got the pills.

UGH ladies. I'm on CD 30. Feel like utter CRAP too! Ovusoft still doesn't show that I've O'd, but I think I did. I think our freaking trip that we went on totally screwed up my temps so therefore I can't see an obvious shift. So frustrating!!!
For the past few days I've been feeling strange. I've been nauseous at times, have been getting slightly light-headed and feel super duper bloated. Now I've had a headache since last night and the Tylenol isn't doing crap for me. I'm afraid of taking something stronger (just in case). I'm not even sure when/if I should test since normally my cycles are around 40-50 days long.

lilhimley~CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I wish you all the best! H&H 9 Months to you:D (Or I guess less than 9 months....:p)
looty~Thinking of you today!
Jess~Thanks, altho I feel like a complete a$$....and a major emotional wreck. sigh.
And another huge Congrats and Thank You to Married and Lauren!
bella~I was telling my DH about Married BD marathon, and he says "Hmmmmm, so maybe we arent trying hard enough...." LMAO!
melandtim~So your insurance will cover you then or you need to straighten that out today? GOOD LUCK!
So I have become a complete emotional lunatic. NOt sure if it happened when I stopped the bcp...or if it was just the fact that we are now TTC. I have no clue. But DH actually said to me yesterday that maybe if we stopped thinking about it.....I couldnt BELIVE IT! You ladies should have seen the Look I shot him, which made me realize I, AM a lunatic...........ugh. Anywho.....I am NOT going to start temping yet. DH and I talked about it and we think I will become even More obssessed with TTC, and yah, I already obsess enough..........I AM going to do the grapefruit juice thing tho, altho DH alughed at me:p I bought a jug of it and will buy another come next pay...so hopefully that helps!
Other than that, TTC wise. I dont feel anything this cycle......Other than tender breasts, but I always have those...LOL! So not sure if it is a good or bad thing, either way, I am NOT obsessing! LMAO!
Hope everyone has a great day!

sunshine - I think maybe its because we are on such an emotional roller coaster. I know I am much more emotional than I have been in the past :p
My doctor's office said she would put in the paperwork but that they always kick it back. All this for a very inexpensive drug. Hopefully they will ok it like they said yesterday that they would.

Lilhimley - Congratulations! I have a friend with the same issue. Her 1st son was born early but is perfectly healthy now and her 2nd son was born full-term. I'm praying for you :)
Looty - I'm so glad that your mom was able to be there for you. I'm thinking of you today.
Bellabonga - LOL about trying Marriedagoalie's approach!
Melandtim - I hope the insurance mix-up gets straightened out soon.
FSUSammy - Don't you hate it when you have no idea when you O'd? With those symptoms I'd definitely be tempted to test though!
Sunshine - You are hilarious! Believe me, I've been dealing with wacko emotions too since the BCP's went bye-bye. Example: We bought one of those stupid mosquito zappers for out at the cabin. I was so anxious to try it out (I'm such a dork!) that when I missed the skeeter I started crying. DH was looking at me like I was nuts and I was laughing/crying because I knew I was crazy too!
_________
Me - So it's CD13 and I've got EWCM! I bet you can't guess what I'll be doing tonight ;) .

Bella~Sorry that AF came back. I hate when that happens. I hope Married's approach works for you and you are able to survive!
Mel~I hope all your tests come back fine and that the insurance stands by their word and covers it all. IMO if the dr feels it is time to treat you, they should pay.
FSU~I hope you are able to figure something out soon. When do you think you O'ed? Do you think that your issues could be pg symptoms?
Sunshine~I agree that we are all crazy sometimes on this TTC journey. It jus does that to you. I always tell Dh that if he thinks I am bad her should come here and read for a while. :p I didn't start temping because I was sure it would make me more neurotic.
Lana~Have fun tonight!;)
I went for my HSg today. I ended up getting all the pain and none of the info or results from getting it done. They had a hard time getting my cervix dilated and got it after about 5 tries. After that they couldn't get the catheter with the dye in it through my cervix because it was closed too strongly. I am fine with it except I have to wait until next cycle to try anything else. Poop! I am fine with this...I am not sad about it at all. It just figures since I keep having weird things happen with this testing stuff.

I'm so bad at keeping up with these threads. I just don't have the mental capacity to follow, lol. Congrats to you ladies who got BFPs. H&H 9 months to you both.
OK, so I am on CD 37. Last monthwas CD 35 and then got AF about 7am on CD 36. AF is not coming....but the HPT on Saturday morning was BFN. I don't have any $$ to buy another one until Friday (unless my step-mom wants to lend me $7 to go to CVS and get one!!!). DH says I should just wait. So that I won't be disipointed if I get AF between now and then. So yeah, I'm gonna wait till Friday. I have Friday off, so i'll go gt one and then take it and we'll see what's going on with my body. Before last month, I never had a cycle over 30 days, not even off of BCP.
When I finally got AF last cycle, the day before i was walking in the mall with my mom and i felt like something had come out of me, like AF had shown up. So I went to the bathroom and it was a HUGE glob of white CM. I came to the conclusion later that it was a mucus plug, probably because my LP had been so long. It was never confirmed, but i think I had a chemical PG. I don't know. Now i've gone even longer. I've had some crampy feelings a couple times in the last week, and i am irritable and super emotional. Thankfully, it's not affecting my production at work, I got another 2 accounts today and my boss is thrilled with my performance (yesterday he told someone I was the top writer right now!!!).
Anyway, i'm rambling. I think I am so emotional that I am just feeling awful about the whole situation....But, then again, everyone around me is PG, so maybe i'm talking myself into thinking I am...
My sister is 3 months along, My girlfriend thinks she may be (over a month late) and i just found out yesterday that my aunt is PG for the second time. I don't know, I hate waiting, i just want to know now.

Copied from my journal, with some edits for space:
I am such an idiot! My appt was all so quick. I think I talked to my Dr. for like 5 minutes. I COMPLETELY forgot to tell her about the lump!!!!!! I was so worried about the fertility stuff that it just slipped my mind! I remembered on the way home.
Anyway, they took blood to test for thyroid stuff at my request. My dr. said that usually if there is a thyroid problem then you won't O, but she humored me. I looked at my chart and they didn't do a full thyroid workup with T3 and 4 or whatever, but prolactin and something else. She took a look at a few of my charts, but I don't think she really cared much about them. She said she wants to do an HSG and they usually do that between days 5 and 9 but she will be out of town the rest of the week, so there it goes for me this month. She also said that I might want to do a laproscopy to look for endo and we could do both the HSG and lap at the same time. She said sometimes insurance will pay for one and not the other, so they can do them at the same time and kill 2 birds with one stone. She said the HSG is a quick thing and the lap is a minor surgery, so I have some thinking to do. I can either do the HSG, and it could show what's wrong and I wouldn't need the lap, or if it doesn't show what's wrong, need the lap anyway and have to schedule that separately. I don't know.
I have really loved being a part of this thread, but we haven't been just seeing what happens for like 7 months now. I will continue to lurk, and cheer you guys on, but I feel like I need to move on from this thread! I want to keep up with all of you, so feel free to drop by my journal any time! So,
threadmistress, please remove me from the member list.
I will for sure let yall know if/when I get a BFP! Good luck!

looty - I am so sorry you had to go through that and not get any results.
sunshine - this thread has helped me so much. Its hard when others get their BFP but it does make you realize you aren't on your own :)
Jess - good luck!
Me - CD8, nothing to report. This month I am going to try an OPK, robitussin and green tea. It can't hurt to give it a try!!
FSUSammy
07-26-2006, 04:43 AM
looty - There is a slight possibility that I O'd on CD 14/15. The day after we did the deed. But since that was on our cruise I'm not sure if that's accurate since I'd be basing it on my temp jumping up. I think my issues could be PG symptoms but what do I know. Could be my head playing damn good tricks on me too!
charliezangel - Hopefully when you test on Friday it will explain why this cycle is longer.
Well ladies today is CD 31 for me. I still feel nauseous, almost couldn't fall asleep last night because I felt like I was about to throw up the entire time I was laying down. My temp dropped this morning. Not sure if it means AF is about to arrive or not. Guess we'll see.
bellabonga
07-26-2006, 05:06 AM
FSUSammy, I donīt know if green tea pills are available too in Germany, so Iīll try the grapefruit juice first and will get some of those pills if Iīm not pg by September (weīll go on vacation to Florida then). Even with your long cycles I would test if I were on CD 31 and had the symptoms you describe. ;)
Sunshine, I thought exactly the same thing as your DH when I read marriedagoalieīs BFP announcement. :D I still donīt know if thatīs for me. We only BD twice last month since I just want it to happen naturally. Trying so hard seems like forcing it. I probably think this way because DD was a TTA/SWH baby - we TTA the dangerous days and kind of waited for an oops since we werenīt sure if the time was right to have a baby. Iīm glad that it worked that way. With my m/c we BD every second day around ovulation and somehow I had the feeling from the beginning on that it was kind of forced and not really meant to be. I know thatīs silly but thatīs why Iīm kind of hesitant to try that much. But I think Iīll give it a try for just one month. Although I have to admit that Iīm usually not up to it that often, especially not when itīs over 90 degrees in the apartment... :o
Lanapoo, I hope you were successful last night! ;) And thanks for that funny anecdote! *LOL*
Looty, Iīm so sorry that this happened to you. I canīt believe that they didnīt manage to get your cervix dialated! How did they try? Manually or did they insert pills to open it? I got a huge vaginal pill to open it before my d&c and that worked just fine. What is done next?
Charliezangel, Iīve never heard of losing a mucous plug with a chemical. Is that even possible? Doesnīt a mucous plug develop much later in pregnancy? It sucks when you have long cycles and donīt know whatīs going on. Did you talk to your obgyn about it?
Jess, Iīm sorry that you feel you need to move on. :( I have no experience with HSG and laparoscopy but I would probably do both at once. At least then itīs over and you donīt have to wait yet another cycle to do the other one, if necessary. I wish you good luck and hope youīll give us an update from time to time.
Mel, what is robitussin?
melandtim
07-26-2006, 05:15 AM
bella - robitussin is a brand of cough syrup that is supposed to thin CM. On the rare occasions that I have O'd my CM has been thick so we will see if that helps.
jess - I had a laparoscopy about 10 years ago. The pain afterwards wasn't too bad it was just an uncomfortable feeling from all the gas they pump into. The incisions are tiny and you can't really even see them anymore after all this time. Wish I could say the same for the rest of my surgically scarred body :p
Sunshine
07-26-2006, 08:04 AM
looty~Ugh.........how annoying:( So what is the next step now?
charliezangel~I'm sorry you have to wait until Friday...:( I hope the rest of the week goes by quickly for you! GOOD LUCK!
Jess~I'm so sad to see you go:( Best of luck to you!
FSUSammy~Ugh, I HATE WAITING!!!! I hope the temp drop means nothing! Will you test again soon if AF doesnt show up?
bellabonga~I can totally understand why you feel that way, my DH feels it needs to be "natural" too. And yah, we've been living together for over 8 years, we are NOT BD every day for that many days in a row.;) Yah RIGHT! It just doesnt happen anymore:p LOL! We only BD I think 4 times this cycle so far....DH really isnt feeling well. I just wish I had more control.....LOL! I'm such a control freak.
cd25 for me. Still nothing to report............I'm exhausted today but that is b/c DH had ball last night.....2 games, the 1st at 8:45pm, and then 2nd at 10pm. UGH. We didnt get home until midnight.......Thankfully this wont happen again, his next and last regular season game is scheduled for 6:15 and 7:30pm! MUUUUCH better!
Hope everyone is having a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

07-26-2006, 08:09 AM
well, i took a test today because i needed to know (i have an infection in my tooth and it needs to come out and i needed to know if i was PG or not). BFN...so now i'm on CD 38 and have no clue what's going on. I have no insurance right now and no established dr since we just moved....I called a midwife in the area and it would $195 to have a checkup that would include a blood test for pregnancy.
OOO, my mouth is killing me, i'm gonna go get this sucker pulled, i'll be back later.
MarriedaGoalie
07-26-2006, 08:15 AM
So sorry for your BFN, charliezangel! :( I hope you can figure out what's going on soon!
looty
07-26-2006, 08:52 AM
Mel~I hope your TTC cocktail does the trick for you this month!
FSUSammy~If you don't get AF in a couple days then I would test. If you O'ed on Cd 14 or 15 you should be 16-17 DPO. I would see what your temp does tomorrow.
Bella~The have a thing called a dilater that they use for HSG's. It looks like a plastic tube that starts pretty narrow and gets wider and wider. They used that and also used some clamp things to try to help pull it to the side to help with positioning of everything. They got it dilated but the cathetor they used was too flimsy for me. Next step is below.
Sunshine~I would be tired too. I need my sleep...that will be one of the hardest things for me if/when we have a baby. Next step is below.
Charliez~Sorry about the bfn. I hope you can figure out what is going on soon. I know how hard it is to have a cycle that is getting longer and not being sure if it is late O, no O, or pregnancy. Annoying! Good luck getting your tooth fixed. I have had infected teeth before and they are really painful. I'm sure you will feel muchbetter when you come back.
Since several of you asked...The next step for me is going to be to either do another HSG or getting laparoscopy. If I get the HSG, it will be with a thicker, sturdier catheter while under general anesthetic in the OR because it would be too painful while awake. I don't know if both at the same time is an option or not and I am not sure which one we will decide to do. I have to wait until the next cycle to do either. The thing that concerns me most is which will be better for getting me pg quick and time off work since it will be right at the beginning of the school year.
cross posted from my LJ:
I took my first ever hpt last night. BFN, now I understand where the B&F come from in that abbreviation! It was almost offensive how fast the one line developed and left no question of another one. It was like it was silently screaming "you idiot, you're not pregnant! You're getting AF!"
It was too tempting with the hpt in the house - it came free with my preseed (will do that next month, hopefully get better results!) I decided to take it after, I got crampy yesterday - and usually don't have that until AF has actually shown and am still getting white discharge, so I figured why not?! NOw I know. :(
So... I am not ready to chart because I don't want to get crazy about this, and with me that would most likely happen. However, it is frustrating to not know your body. at.all. I think it dumbfounds dh too, he keeps asking what happens normally. Yeah, I was on the pill for 10 years, and since then I have 2 cycles to compare to!! If next cycle doesn't work I will start charting and get tcoyf.
Sammy... I really think you are going to get a BFP - here's hoping!! ;)
Lanapoo
07-26-2006, 12:01 PM
Oh Looty! That totally sucks that the HSG didn't go as well as you hoped. I hope next time you have a better experience.
Charliez - Sorry about the BFN and your confusing cycles.
Jess - Good luck with your next steps on the TTC journey. I hope we'll be reading a BFP post from you soon!
FSUSammy - My fingers are crossed that you have a little souvenier from your cruise :)
Bellabonga - I know what you mean about TTC seeming too forced sometimes. See below ;)
Sunshine - I'd be tired too if I were you! You're getting close to the end of the 2ww, are you starting to feel anxious?
Melg - Sorry about the BFN. You describe my feelings exactly when I see one. I wonder how I'll feel when I finally see two lines there.
Me - So we managed to do our duty and BD last night. Barely. My code for wanting to BD is "Are you tired?". He knows what that means and starts laughing tiredly. We end up getting the giggles halfway through BD and then I have to get serious because "it's not helping" according to him :p . So I think we had pretty good timing this month all in all.

Lanapoo, good luck this month, I hope you caught yourself and egg. I will this month if I have to die BDing. My DH might get tired of it, but he doesn't need to be awake for it anyhow :0) JK. Anyways, wish everyone luck. Hope things turn out how you want them to!!!!

I hope your eggie was caught!
On the anxiousness.....not really. I dont know why. I'm not sure if it was b/c I promised DH I wouldnt "think about it" as much..... or if it is b/c I know I dont have any HPT at home! LMAO! I am VERY relaxed this cycle! I am starting to get the attitude of "If it happens, GREAT, if not, it will happen soon enough!"
melg~Sorry about the BFN:( I hope you get a BFP soon:D
bellabonga
07-26-2006, 12:52 PM
Melandtim, a cough sirup? Doesnīt it have side effects if you take that for a longer time? Or are you just taking it for some days around ovulation?
Sunshine, weīve been together for 15 years, living together for nearly 12. So weīre not exactly in that newlywed stage either. ;) I was totally surprised by my pregnancy with DD since I could have sworn that we didnīt have sex for over an entire month. Turned out we had sex once and I had just forgotten about it! :D
Charliezangel, Iīm sorry about the BFN and your tooth! Maybe Vitex might help you with your cycle (I should really get paid for my efforts to make Vitex more popular in the USA ;) ). Itīs cheap, regulates hormonal imbalances and usually has no side effects.
Looty, was this done to you without anaesthesia? I donīt understand why they didnīt give you this vaginal medicine that softens the cervix. Good luck with your decision!
Melg, sorry but the "It was almost offensive how fast the one line developed and left no question of another one. It was like it was silently screaming "you idiot, you're not pregnant! You're getting AF!" part had me ROTFLOL! :D However, I can totally understand your frustration. Seeing a BFN to me is even worse than AF. You just feel so dumb for testing and imagining symptoms once youīve seen the BFN.
Lana, your duty description is too funny! Sounds familiar to me. :D I hope your DH caught the egg.
Bella - Glad I could bring some humor to the day. That was my goal :D So there is certainly no need to apologize for ROTLOL! I was actually surprised no one had "made fun of" me or my description earlier! It surprised me and I just thought it was a funny way to describe what I was feeling.
Seriously, I must be crazy anyway. I am now waiting for AF, but of course only the faintest stain this afternoon on the undies. I guess since I have no idea when I o'd that I could be... yeah, I'm nuts!!
Charliezangel, I hope you feel better!!

Hey ladies, thank you all for your "get well"s. I promise ny tomorrow I will be caught up enough to do some SOs and know a little more about everyone else. Bellabonga, I'll do some research on that medication and talk to my midwife about it. I've never heard of it, but if it will help, i'm willing to try anything.
So my fears were confirmed, the infection is in my top left molar. My back teeth for some reason just dont like to stay in my mouth. I had to have the back molars on the top on both sides extraxted because of abbsesses (i think i just made a new word!!!) and then when my wisdome teeth gre in, they moved into those spots, so it wasn't too bad for me with chewing and what not. Now it's the NEXT molar that's infected, and the one on the other side is falling apart as well. I think it's hereditary because my father had horrible teeth when he was my age and had many of them extracted. I'm in so much pain, i have been laying on the couch all day, hopped up on pain pills and sick from the penecillin (i have to take it for a week before they'll do anything to kill the infection). I think my cycle might be loopy because of the infection, i know that can happen sometimes. But i'm glad because I couldn't imagine this and having cramps right now.
So i'm gonna go back to the couch andpray the pain pills work soon because i just feel like shit right now.

Hi all, sorry I am so behind, no time for SO's. But good luck to all the testers, sorry for any BFN or AF.
Not much new here, just waiting for AF to fully leave, I will start drinking my grapefruit juice tomorrow. Bella, I was going to go to GNC to buy the Vitex but do you have to start it CD 1 for it to work? I probably won't get a chance to get it until Friday which would be CD 8, is that to late? Not much else going on, donated blood today hoping it would be the last time I am able to for about a year:)

Hey ladies. Got bad news. AF just arrived at 9:45. :(
Do I consider today CD 1 or tomorrow CD1?? It wasn't just freaking spotting either, she came with a vengeance!
I guess on a good note this makes this past cycle the shortest one yet since going off the pill.

melg~I too laughed at your description of the test results. I hate getting BFN. I think if I ever get a + test I won't know what to think.:p
Lana~You are too funny. I am glad that you and your Dh got your duty done. My Dh is pretty good natured about it when he doesn't want to also, too bad for him I'm not when it is not around O. He always says he's sick not dead when he hasn't been feeling well. Me on the other hand...if I don't feel good, don't touch me! ;)
That's great that you aren't anxious this month Sunshine! I hope that's a sign.
Yes, the HSG is done without anesthegia Bella. It wasn't pleasant. I don't know why they didn't use that pill. My sister said that would have caused cramping too anyway, but at least they may have gotten in.
Sorry they can't do anything for a week, Charliez. I figured that they would make you take anitbiotics before doing too much, but wasn't sure if that was routine or not. They did the same thing to me when my wisdom tooth was infected. Sending you feel no pain vibes.
I hope that is the last time you give blood for a while too, Chelsea. Good luck this month!
Sorry about AF FSUSammy. Today would be CD 1. I hope this cycle ends differently for you

charliezangel, Iīm sorry that you are in so much pain. Tooth pain is really the worst thing of all! However, in that case itīs good that you got a BFN since you really should get all teeth issues fixed before TTC. I hope youīre feeling better today! :)
Chelsea, you can start Vitex on any day. After my m/c I had to take the pill for one month and the day after I finished the pill, I started taking Vitex. That was 2-3 days before AF started. I guess itīs best to start it on CD 1 but as it can take two months to show any effect, itīs better to start now than to wait another cycle. Oh, so I wasnīt supposed to drink grapefruit juice during AF?! Iīm already drinking it since CD 1! Although I have to admit that my stomach gets pretty upset by it and I have stomach aches, nausea and sometimes a diarrhoea feeling afterwards. :o So I donīt know if Iīll do that for another cycle.
FSUSammy, Iīm sorry about AF! Itīs especially hard when youīve had so many symptoms to get your hopes up. Since it wasnīt just spotting, I would say that it was CD 1 for you.
Looty, that sounds horrible! Iīve read that some people have cramping from that vaginal pill and others havenīt. They inserted it two hours before the d&c and I didnīt notice anything. However, I really hope itīll work better next time.

charliezangel, Hope you are feeling better soon, that sounds painful.
FSUSammy - sorry AF has arrived. It is hard when you get what you think are pg symptoms. I had tons last month and was so disappointed.
bella - robitussin is only taken a few days before O not through the whole cycle. I don't think I could handle a whole month of that stuff :p What exactly is Vitex?

Hey ladies. Thanks for your support and help with figuring out what CD yesterday "really" was. My cramps have subsided. DH and I have decided that I will continue with the Vitex this cycle to see if its really starting to regulate me. This will be cycle #3 with Vitex and from what I've read it usually takes 3 cycles to regulate yourself. If it doesn't work this cycle then next cycle I will try the Clomid my doc prescribed at my annual. I'm going to stay positive since my last cycle was 30 days long, which is HUGE progress compared to all of the other ones I've had since going off the pill.

07-27-2006, 04:34 AM

I dont use OPK's....YET! ANd I'm not sure what CBEFM is...so I cant help you! heehee!
looty~ME TOO! But if not.......I guess we try again! I think I am holding alot of hope in next cycle b/c of the grapefruit juice:p LOL! I just want to try it!!! LMAO!
Update on me.....Well, tomorrow should be the last day of this cycle with AF showing up on Saturday! I hope I have good news to share...if not, I get to try GRAPEFRUIT juice next cycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I am pretty excited about that:p LMAO!
BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!

FSUSammy~I use the CBEFM. I tried OPKs before that and I didn't have much luck with those. I have been able to relax a lot more about when AF is coming since getting it. My cycles vary sometimes and knowing exactly when I O helps me relax about when AF should be coming.
I hope you get a BFP this weekend Sunshine!

QOTD: I've tried OPK's but not the fertility monitor. The very first OPK I took on my first cycle was positive and the next day I felt O pains and bloating. I forgot to take them the second cycle and bought some internet cheapies to take for 3rd and 4th cycle. I can't tell if the cheapies are positive because the test line is not darker than the control line. I don't think I'm going to buy any more after I finish up with them. I feel like I can tell when I O anyways so why bother.
Bellabonga - Thanks, I hope DH caught the eggie too!
Charliez - I'm sorry your teeth are hurting. I think you're right about the hereditary thing though because DH has similar issues.
FSUSammy - That sucks that AF showed! I'm glad your cycles are normalizing though. Crazy what coming off of BCP's will do to you. I had the opposite problem as you. They started off super short and then got longer until now on cycle 4 I'm at a normal length.
Looty - That test sounds awful. Reminds me of some issues I had with my fibroid that required something similar. The procedure really hurt and I had such bad cramping afterwards.
Me - Well, it's CD15. Last night, instead of me being on BD patrol, it was DH reminding me that we should really get one last batch of "baby batter" in there before it's too late this month :D . We were both tired so I was surprised and pleased that DH was so pro-active about this baby making stuff! We're both really hoping it happens soon.
LOL Sunshine, I can't believe I forgot you! I've got all my crossables crossed that you don't have to drink that nasty grapefruit juice! Hee hee.

Sunshine, I hope AF stays away and you have no use for your grapefruit juice! I tried some of mine this morning, just because I like grapefruits doesn't mean I like grapefruit juice:p Its pretty tart!
FSUSammy Sorry about AF, I don't use the monitor but I did use OPKs last cycle, I got a positive on CD 9, my cycle was 75 days long, don't think it was accurate:rolleyes: but I did buy another pack this month for some odd reason.
melandtim See above^, I think my biggest thing why mine was wrong was both lines looked pretty close but most people I have heard get positives say the test line should actually be darker, who knows.
Lana glad your DH was on BD patrol for you last night, I hope you caught the egg!
Me, Boring CD 7, AF has finally left the building, I am used to 3-4 days, this was 6 so AF definitly stayed over her welcome. Like I said above, for some odd reason I bought more OPKs this month but I don't plan on using them until I get watery CM, I am mainly just going to be going off of CM and CP this month and BD a lot. I don't think I will call the dr for another long cycle until I hit CD75 or so, with provera thats when AF arrived and I think my cycles before BC were about 70 days so I will just wait and see, and buy Vitex and hope that helps shorten it.
Sunshine

Oh, if you think that was long for AF, how about mine? I just say: CD 9 and today it finally seems as if itīs ending! But Iīve read quite often that the second AF after a m/c can still be stronger and/or last longer than usual, so I try not to worry. I hope it wonīt effect the length of my cycle though. I would get OPKs but they are so expensive over her (~$22 for 3 OPKs).
Chelsea524
07-27-2006, 01:56 PM

We must have cross posted last time Mel. I didn't have much luck with telling if the OPK was positive or not. Then I got the digital ones and never got a +. So no luck for me with OPKs.
You're welcome Sunshine. I can definitely tell you were bored today! LOL! Hope the homeless in your area are drinking grapefruit juice very soon!;)
Lana~ I love the baby batter comment! Too cute that your Dh is reminding you. Mine does that too but with him I figure it's because he wants some.:p
Sorry AF stuck around longer than normal Chelsea. She sticks around longer then she used to while I was on the pill. Was about 3-3 1/2 days and now it's about 5. You are stronger than I am with those long cycles. I hated it when mine were in the 40s.
Oh man Bella! You get AF even longer. Sorry to hear that, but hope that it gets back to normal next cycle.
I don't have much to say. I am leaning toward doing the HSG next month and just seeing if that will help clear me out before getting a lap. I'm scared of the lap and Dh is not too keen on it either. I am just waiting to O still. It will probably be about 10 days before I that happens. I am going to be pretty relaxed about things this month since I am not too optimisitic about it. I am still going to use the fertility monitor just so I know when to expect Af since it was longer last time. Makes me less crazy because I know when to expect her.

Chelsea, I bought the yellow grapefruit juice since that was the only one they got here. The first one was really sour, the second one is bitter as hell. Maybe Iīll just get pink grapefruits after this one is finished.
I guess your AF could have to do with your long cycle, donīt you think? That was too sweet of you, I hope weīll both have to deal with AF not before May 2007! :D
Looty, I always have AF for ~6 days, so it didnīt make that much of a difference to me. I only hate it when it seems as if sheīs gone and then makes a surprise re-appearance!
Yesterday just before I went to bed I suddenly noticed a faint dragging near my left ovary. I donīt know what that was since it was way too early to O and it was probably nothing since I only felt it for maybe two hours. Still I didnīt want to miss any chance and so we decided to try the pre-seed. Nice! But I forgot to ask you how you store the leftovers if you want to use them again. Do you put them in the fridge? Iīm asking because we still have around 90 degrees in our apartment.
Because of the heat I wasnīt able to sleep last night and so Iīm really tired today. I watched TV until 3am and although DD slept long today, our dumb dog woke us up at 8am because he was barking so loud at our neighborīs dog. Doesnīt he know that I need to be awake tonight to BD?! Whereas...ummm...do I really need to be awake for that? ;)

looty, well I hope you don't even need the HSG next month but if you do I hope thats all it takes to get a BFP. I am not very strong about the long cycles at all, I hate them but figure that maybe I would have Oed if I didn't start the provera, if I don't O until CD 60 or so and I start provera right around then I might just be missing my chance each month.
bella, I was looking for the yellow kind because I thought I heard thats the best for increasing CM but two stores I went to didn't have it. That would be an early O but not unheard of, there are women that O on CD 9 or 10, glad you covered you bases. I don't put my extra pre-seed in the fridge, that would be mighty cold on DH, I usually just leave mine out, haven't noticed a problem yet.
CD 8 for me, nothing going on yet, drinking my grapefruit juice, I think I have gotten used to it so its not to bad, a little tart but pretty good. I think I need to go get one of my wisdom teeth pulled pretty soon here, its one the dentist thought I just didn't have because it never came in, now it is and it doesn't fit I swear, it hurts so bad.

Cross posted with you Sunshine, I really hope AF stays away for you!!! So are you going to test tomorrow or Sunday? Good luck either way:D
I just thought of something this morning, I was about to take my usually allergy pill and remembered when I was on these boards a couple years ago TTC DS that you aren't supposed to take allergy or cold medicins that are supposed to dry up runny noses and stuff because it dries up CM as well, just like Robitussin loosens nasal congestion and also loosens CM, same kind of thing. Anyone else heard this before?
FSUSammy
07-28-2006, 08:03 AM
Chelsea524 - Yup allergy meds DO dry ya up. I take mine when I absolutely need them. I rather have drier CM than suffer from my allergies (I get them BAD!).
Sunshine - Also hoping that AF stays away from you too!!!
bellabonga - I'm not a grapefruit juice fan either. Actually for some reason I can't stand the fruit. Hopefully you can find one that you end up liking. And hopefully you'll be awake enough tonight for the BDing. Take a late shower to WAKE you up, I've heard that helps.

Soooooooooo, if AF hasnt shown up Sunday, I will prob go that night to buy one, or on my lunch break Monday.....Its going to be So Hard waiting if AF hasnt shown up to not test until Mon.....so I think if she doesnt show Sat, DH will want me to test Sun too:p Sorry that my answer was so long...LOL!

07-28-2006, 10:06 AM
Bella~I would hate for AF to show back up. I have had that happen once. Yuck! A shower may be a good tactic for staying awake and it probably wouldn't hurt to walk into your bedroom naked to get your DH in the mood.;)
Sunshine~Sorry about the lose of your coffee. :p Here's how the fertility monitor works: it tells you to start POAS on a certain day depending on your cycle, that you then insert into the monitor. The monitor then reads it for different hormones and gives you a reading of low (no chance of pregnancy), high (some chance of pregnancy), or peak (the most likely time to get pg). The monitor gives 1 peak day and then one high day automatically after the first peak day is detected. The thing I like about it most is taht it helps me know exactly when AF should be coming so I don't get overly excited about a longer cycle due to delayed O because I know it is coming later. That was really hard forme earlier in the process because I kept thinking I must be pg since Af was "late." Sorry that was so long. I wish you luck and hope you have good news to report this weekend.
Chelsea~I hope I don't need it either but I guess since it hasn't happend yet I am not too optimistic about this cycle either. I understand you wanting to wait. That makes sense. I would think that the allergy meds would dry you up but I don't know what to tell you about it.

Well I went out and bout Vitex today, I was trying to decide between that and Fertiliy Blend which has Vitex in it, anyone tried it? It sounded great, had the Vitex, green tea and a bunch of other stuff in it but it was $30 and Vitex was $10 so Vitex won for this month.

07-28-2006, 12:57 PM
Chelsea524 - There is a girl on the TTA board that uses Fertility Blend I believe. Seemed to do well for her. As for the Vitex, remember that it can take up to 3 months for it to work. I'm on cycle #3 with Vitex and last cycle was fantastic for me so I'm hoping that this cycle will be a repeat. Just don't be discouraged if it doesn't work this first cycle for you. Chelsea~You can add your own "things" to your chart. I have prenatals, and now grapefruit juice on my chart.
You just go to Settings, and then Custom Data. There is an area there for you to add whatever you want to!
Once you add what you want just press finished and then go back to the area where you enter data, and it will be near the bottom above the note area.So every day you drink grapefruit juice you can tick it off like any other symptom etc.... (If you have it showing in "long" not short or tabbed)
And Thank You!
ETA: In the ingredients of your grapefruit juice does it say 100% grapefruit juice? I just checked mine and it is grapefruit juice and apple juice.....CRAP! I'm not sure it will be the same........I wonder. Darn front of the package..it SAYS Rio Red Grapefruit Juice.....100% Juice. Must read fine print.
Thank you looty, Sam, and pacificbliss. I hope one of you gets to announce a BFP soon!
DH was Soooooooooo supportive when I told him AF showed up. Well, First I told him I had already finished off a glass of wine, he looked at me funny then, so I told him AF showed! He knew right away then why I was drinking the wine:p LOL! Ahhhhhhhhh, that wine tasted So Good!

Chelsea, poor girl for having wisdom teeth ache! Can you go to a dentist on Monday to get it taken out? Better do it now than while youīre pregnant. I got mine out before I got pg with Maya. Two of them were horizontally in the jaw, still partly covered by the gums. Those were pretty hard to take out but the two other ones were a piece of cake compared to that. I hope youīll feel better soon and I also hope that Vitex helps you get a regular cycle again. Funny that you werenīt able to get yellow grapefruit juice and over here you donīt get pink juice!
Looty, I took your advice about walking naked in the bedroom and it worked. ;)
Sunshine, Iīm sorry about AF showing up! :( But better now than a BFN on Monday. And having a May baby is great too. Btw I drank the grapefruit juice from CD 1 on since I didnīt know you were supposed to wait.
So, are you trying Marriedagoalieīs approach this cycle too since you want to "try harder"? ;)
Nothing really new here. Iīm pretty sure now that I didnīt already O which is better anyway. CD 9 would be to short for the egg to ripen properly. So we BD yesterday and we will continue to do so for a couple of days if we donīt get tired of it.

Chelsea524 - just wanted to comment on the wisdom tooth. Definately get that taken care of ASAP. I got all 4 of mine pulled in December, 1 was impacted pretty badly and the others he had an easier time getting out. The pain meds will be your lifesaver and if you are pregnant they usually won't pull them unless really necessary. A friend of mine was having problems with hers during pregnancy, but they told her she had to wait, due to the amount of blood she would possibly loss during surgery, since your blood volume doubles in pregnancy.
I got mine out in December and was pregnant in January, so it was perfect timing.
Chelsea524
07-29-2006, 07:25 AM
Thanks Ericka, I think I will call my dentist on Monday and see if I can get in Tuesday or Wednesday, luckily my dentist is my husbands uncle so hopefully he will fit me in. That makes sence about the pregnancy being a problem to get it done.
bella, I think that is the problem with mine, it feels and looks like it is growing right into my jaw, ouch!
Sunshine, I will have to try that with my chart, although I am just on the basic membership so it doesn't really show any symptoms I put in anyways. I think the ruby red should be ok, its got grapefruit as the main ingredient right? So you are still getting it, maybe just drink a little bit more, I haven't even looked at the ingredients on mine, it tastes exactly like grapefruit but who knows, maybe next time I will go to an organic store to buy it.
CD 9 for me, will start the BDing in a day or two, hopefully I will O and we won't be doing that for 75 days straight, that could get a little raw and sore:o. I have been an emotional wreck the last few days for some reason or another, I have been crying at the drop of a hat and I don't know why, dh made fun of me for it last night, which of course made me cry but I was laughing while crying, who knows what going on:rolleyes:

Chelsea - hope he can get you in quickly. The hardest one for me was the one that was growing sideways in my mouth (not pushing through the skin much at all and he hadto cut bone with it) and it was pushing on the other teeth so causing all my teeth to hurt. One had to be cut in half to get out and the top ones he was able to just pull, but had to move the skin away a bit.

MexicoBride'05~LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one! I htink I'll drink the Rio the first few days until I get paid again, which is next Thursday, and then on payday I'll buy the organic......Sheesh!
And I agree, if it will help, I'll do it!
bellabonga~ITA that AF showing early is better than getting a BFN. I cant heart another BFN:p Dh was already talking about fertility drgs yesterday(mainly just trying to tell me that when the time comes, we will do what we have to....) and I was just like "Ummm, Its waaaaay to early for that honey, and what, you want triplets?!?!?" LMAO! uh, no.....
LOL, Dh says he wants to DTD more, but I dont think we can do it every day....I think I'll die from exhaustion! LMAO!
GL with your marathon:D
Chelsea~Yah, I just have the basic too, but I print my chart and data out at the end of every chart and put it in a duotang so I can review my symptoms that way:p uh, yah, just call me obsessed..........
I htink I will do just that with the grapefruit juice, I dont want to waste it. Besides, it will prob be gone by the time O comes around, so i'll drink the organic on cd7 and on as I get paid on cd 7!
AWE< sorry about you being so emotional...I hate crying on the drop of a dime, DH makes fun of me too.....LOL! Our poor men........;)
I hope you dont have to have a BD marathon for that many days, I really WOULD die from exhaustion!
I'm rooting for you this cycle!!!!!

Chelsea, I really hope you can get an appointment at the beginning of next week. Itīs probably partly your tooth ache that makes you so sensitive right now.
Ericka, that sounds exactly like what I had. The two on the bottom were covered with skin and growing against my other teeth whereas the upper ones were growing in the right direction and were totally easy to pull.
Sunshine, so far itīs okay with the BD marathon. We try to keep it pleasant and quick. ;)
DD is ill again and so far I donīt know what she has. She has fever and she hasnīt eaten her dinner as she as said she was sick. So maybe itīs a stomach bug and sheīll vomit later. :( To make this perfect, weīve forgotten to buy new diapers as she still needs one for the nights. So DH has just driven to the main station as there is a small grocery store thatīs still open. Too bad that DD is already sleeping now! So I will have to wake her up at midnight to put on a diaper and give her fever medication if she doesnīt wake up earlier on her own. No good conditions for BD! I hope I wonīt catch her fever again since that seems to be the reason why I lost my baby in May. And I also forgot to buy new grapefruit juice and will have to go and see if they have some at the gas station tomorrow.

Bella, I hope Maya feels better soon, poor girl. I usually take extra Vitamin C when one of my kids are sick so I don't get it, its always helped me. The tooth ache might be whats making me extra sensitive, good thinking.
Sunshine, Thanks, I'm rooting for you too, we can be eachothers cheerleaders (along with everyone elses of course;) ) I did find the organic GJ at the store today but with already having the pink and ruby red I thought I better wait, instead I just bought grapefruits to eat:p I just told dh its part of my new diet to lose weight, he doesn't know its to help ttc.
Ericka, ouch that sounds so painful, I will make sure to call my dentist first thing on monday, that would put me at about cd 11, so by the time I get into him it would probably be CD 12 or 13, do you think that kind of thing could delay O? Who am I kidding though, I just got off a 75 day cycle, I probably wouldn't O til quite a bit later than CD14 but still.
Ericka_Jarett
07-29-2006, 12:20 PM
It could delay O, just cause of the meds and stress. But you will be happier than being pregnant with that sort of pain (my friend was getting migraines as well from the pain). It will take a few months for your jaw to heal from the surgery, but I didn't need meds after the first 2 weeks which were for pain and prevent infection. I did get AF 2 weeks before the surgery so I knew I was safe as long as we avoided O time (I think I O'd right after surgery, if I O'd at all) and than I got AF later that month about 6 days late. Got pregnant the very next cycle though and able to enjoy being pain free.

Man you ladies were busy talking back and forth!
Bella~I am glad that my suggestion did the trick!:) I hope that your daughter is feeling better and that you don't catch it. Good luck on your bd'ing marathon!
Sunshine~Sorry that the grapefruit juice isn't what you thought it was. I hope it still does the trick! That is too funny about your Dh. Mine will say the same thing about trying harder next month, which to him means more bd'ing!:p
Chelsea~I hope you can get your teeth taking care of soon. Like the others have said I really doubt that you would want to deal with that your whole pregnancy.
Hey Ericka! You don't have too much longer to go! Are you excited?
Hey pacificbliss! Thanks for continuing to check on us.
I thought we would start the bd'ing today but DH isn't feeling well. He has been sick since last night. He has laid in bed and slept most of the day because when he was up in the living room he just kept moaning. Silly man didn't go back to bed until after I told him to.
Another thing I found out today is that my mom "let it slip" to my grandma about all this TTC. She apologized and said that before she knew what she was doing it was already out. She also told my g-ma about the procedures that I had done and the ones I will have to possibly have done in the future. She did manage to tell her mum is the word. I don't really know how I feel about that. It irks me a little but she means well and she did apologize. I just don't want the whole family to know and look at me with pity or anything. Plus my g-ma is a worrier anyway...this is the last hting she needs to worry about.
Hopefully Dh will feel better soon so we can get on with it.

Hi Looty,
Nope don't have much longer, actually probably less than my ticker says. I just got out of the hospital on Thursday due to cervix being totally thinned already and fingertip/1 cm dilated already. I am on permanent bedrest now, Doc wants to see me reach at least 35 weeks so we have less chance of any NICU time for little man. Of course the longer he stays the better, so looking at the most 9w 4d (doc won't let me go over 40 weeks and with diabetes more likely would go at 37 weeks), hoping for at least 5 more weeks though.

I lied, i'm nowhere near caught up. The pain in my mouth finally subsided on Friday afternoon and I went to work yesterday feeling 100% better. Now, with the antibiotics working, I can have it extracted, which is what i am doing at 9:30 this morning.
So I got up this morning, went into the bathroom and decided to use the last test that was under the sink. I took it and I see a very faint second line. DH insists that it's not there. I don't know. I could go buy a digital, but if its that faint on a regular test, i don't think a digital will pick it up. I honestly have no clue what to do. I plan to go to the dr next friday if AF hasn't arrived by then, but it's so expensive for them to do a blood test. And my insurance hasn't kicked in yet....

Chelsea, I had hoped to improve my immune system by taking calcium, magnesium, iron and iodine. And there has to be plenty of vitamin C in grapefruit juice. But I feel very nauseous today and as if I could get diarrhoea anytime soon. :( Maya still has fever but apart from saying that she feels a bit nauseous she seems to be okay. Good luck with your dentist appointment! I hope you wonīt need medication that puts your TTC plans on hold but you really should get that done ASAP.
looty, thank you but it seems that I might get a stomach bug. Ugh! I donīt even know if Iīll feel like continuing with the BD marathon tonight. Maybe weīll take a break. Iīm sorry that your DH too didnīt feel like BD. I hope he feels better today. Hmm, I can sort of relate to the situation with your grandma. It totally sucks that everyone knows about my m/c and everyone always keeps asking me meaningfully if thereīs anything new.
Ericka, bedrest must be hard! I hope youīll make it at least until 35 weeks. But at least I know three babies who were all born at 32 weeks and they didnīt have any serious problems.
charliezangel, good luck for your dentist appointment! About the line-or-no-line: I would wait for two days and then get a digital. In two days your betas have to be high enough to get a BFP if there was a faint line today.
Good luck Charliezangel! I hope you feel better soon. So you think there was a line? Wsn't that lauren fs who saw a really faint line at firsT? test again in two days - very well could be a bfp!!
Ok, I saw some things about "using the method" marriedagoalie used - what is that? bding everyday?
Me - AF sort of start showing (spotting) on Thursday. Actually, that made me relax a bit because I knew in about a week we could start bding again... of course still no real flow! yesterday we sat at the pool so I put in a tampon and I it was barely borwn/purpley, sorry for way TMI! Oh well, I'm hoping it will start today. I want to get on with it :p
It's so hot here. our ac is on its last legs - just cross your fingers it doesn't give out or there is no way dh would touch me!

HAHA I just read that a couple people are trying the "marriedagoalie" approach. LOL You girls are funny. To be honest, I didn't even BD that much so as to have a baby. It's not that I was actively trying that much. It was the fact that it was the first cycle off of BC and I was totally in the mood. (Sorry if that's TMI.) I guess it worked, though. We covered our bases. :) You girls are funny...

Bellabonga - thanks. Actually while in the hospital one of the NICU doctors came down to talk to me. I was in the best hospital in our region with a high risk NICU department. He sat for about 30 mins explaining what would be done should the baby decide to arrive at 30 weeks. I know he would be in the hospital there until he was 35 weeks, they would monitor his breathing, feeding, jaundice and such. If I went into labor before 32 weeks will end up back at that hospital, but after 32 weeks can deliver at my planned hospital. He said they would like the babies to be 35 weeks and weigh at least 4.5 lbs before going home. Since I had the steroid shots as well, that is helping with the lung maturity. I am confident that we can make it to where we need to. Heck almost at 31 already :) But just the same packing my hospital bag this week and also getting the carseat. Rather be ready than left with nothing again and having to have hubby find the things I want while I am laying in a hospital bed. So we are not really concerned, I just would hate to have him spend time in NICU, when he could be with us in the room.
charliezangel - good luck with the tooth. I say get a digital test and take it tomorrow morning and Monday morning, they sell them as a 2 pack. It's always nice to see the words pop up on them anyway. (I took Equate (cause they are cheap), Answer (because I got $1 off, used mostly in last pregnancy) and CBE Digital tests when I got my BFP) What test did you take?

Hi all - I'm going to attempt SO's - but I am pretty far nehind - so I will just do my best. (and then a question or two for you all at the end ;))
Ericka_Jarett - Good luck! I hope your little man stays in there till 35 weeks!
BTW - are you in N. or S. Jersey? Just curious - I live just outside of Philly and grew up in NY - so close to both.
melg - I know how you feel about AF! I've been thinking - if you're going to come, just get here - so I can start planning this month (esp. since we will be on vacation) - at the same time thinking how cool it woulf be is she didn't come
bellabonga - Hope you (and Maya) are feeling better soon!
charliezangel Good luck at the dentist and with the test! sounds like you may have some good news in a few days!
looty - I hear you on the family thing. Hopefully they won't bother you too much with it.
Ok, now my question - I am in a wedding at the end of October. I really need to order my dress NOW (the bride is going to shoot me). Hopefully we'll be PG by then (but who knows) - it would still be very early. I am probably at the top of the size I think I should order now. Should I order the next size and have lots of fabric (just in case) - or go with the size I am now? Not that I am thinking I will gain weight so quickly - but you never know about boobs (my chest is already big) or being bloated. At the same time, I don't want to deal with a ton of extra fabric .... Thoughts, opinions, please?
Also - do you refrain from anything in the 2ww? I'm normally not a big drinker so not hard to stay away from - but I know that I may have many 2ww in my future (and I know the placenta has not formed yet) - so I should probably just do things as normal - just curious.
Started feeling AF cramps last night - expecting her to show Tuesday. A little disappointed but not surprised.
At least this means I can drink on my Caribbean cruise next week, right?;) (same cruise ship that people contracted norovirus on this week
Have a good Sunday all - I'd better go do some work .....
Edited for typos.

Robyn - I live in Southern NJ. Actually just over the Burlington Bristol Bridge. Grew up about 20 mins North of here though.
As for the dress, I would order it a little bigger, not a ton, just a little so that in case you gain weight from pregnancy or whatever, you have a little breathing room. If you got pregnant this next cycle you would be about 2.5 months along, so you would probably experience bloating. Just my opinion.

Charliezangel: I did see a faint line first and I took 2 tests. I tested a day before AF was due and took another at the dr the following day and he said the test was weak, but I was definitely pg. I'd do like the other girls suggested and wait a day or two, then test again. Good luck!!
(Good luck to you all!!)

07-30-2006, 12:55 PM
Robyn,
I agree with Ericka. I would go one size up just in case. If it's way too much fabric, you can take it in last minute. I would hate for you to order your current size and not be able to fit into it because you're 2.5 or so months along.
bellabonga
07-30-2006, 01:21 PM
melg, youīre right about marriedagoalieīs approach - BD everyday! Exhausting and weīre only on our fourth day today. :p
marriedagoalie, lucky you for being in the mood that often! :D But I figured since it worked for you that fast, it might be worth a try. At least for a month, since I am no newlywed anymore. ;)
Ericka, I know what you mean. Having a baby in NICU must be hard to take, even if its health isnīt in danger. Iīm crossing my fingers for you that youīll make it past the 35 week mark.
Robynscott, first of all I would wait with the dress ordering until you know for sure if AF shows up this week or not. If you are not pg now, I would order your usual size if the bigger size is way too big on you now. Even if you should get pg during your next cycle (and we all know there is only a chance of maybe 25%), you would be only three months by the time of the wedding and shouldnīt have much bigger boobs.
So far Iīm not staying away from anything. You never know how long it takes to get pg (I know some women who are in their 50th cycle  )and I donīt want to stay away from everything forbidden just in case. Itīs early enough to start that once you find out and those nine months are long enough. Iīm crossing my fingers for you that youīre wrong with AF. Where do you go on your cruise?

07-30-2006, 02:31 PM
Thanks ladies - I need to let the bride know this week. I think part of the problem is - I'm already on the cusp of sizes b/c I've gained weight since my wedding - and we all know BM's dresses need to be ordered 2 sizes bigger anyway. Trouble is - I'm not sure how big the one that is 3 sizes bigger would be - I should probably just bite the bullet and order the bigger size - ugh.
For reference - when I ordered my wedding dress, I was a (regual) size 6 so the dress was a 10. Now I am an 8 so I can order a 12 - but also probably the 14 - hard to get my mind around the number I guess. Not that anything is wrong with them - it's just that all of the other BM's are REALLY SMALL - and well - I'm being self-conscious. (I know I need to get over it)
As for the Cruise- next week we head to Orlando Fri night, spend Sat at Epcot and Sunday take a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas, St. Maarten and St. Thomas :) I am so ready for a week of just relaxing! But first - I need to get through a crazy week at work. I said in this morning's post that I need to do work when I finished posting - yeah right - I'm first starting now. So instead of getting in my 9 - 5 - looks like it will be 5:30 to whenever!
If - somehow - miraculaously AF does not show on Tuesday (CD 29) or Thurs (CD 31) - I think I will test when we are in Florida. There would be no doubting the results by that point. But we'll see - trying not to get my hopes up too much and just get ready for vacation :)

bellabonga Thanks girl, i am glad to finally have this over and the "good lucks" kept me in the right frame of mind when I went.
melg Did we see AF yesterday?? Is it possible it could be implantation spotting??
MarriedaGoalie Whatever your method is, i think we're all willing to try, lol. Congrats girl, H&H 9 months!!
RobynScott RE: what to do in the 2WW...Well, you should be taking prenatals right now while you are trying, so you definetly want to start on them if you haven't (or at least a good folic acid suplement). As far as drinking and what not, think about how many women find out they are PG "surprise" and where at a wedding a couple days before, or out with friends, or smoking a poack of cigarettes!!! I don't think it's a big deal because what really happens in those 2 weeks is implantation. Now, weather all that affects how the eggs implants, I don't know. But i don't think it's a big deal as long as you are not getting drunk or doing some kind of recreational drug. I think a glass of wine or a couple mixed drinks would be safe.
Sorry that AF is making he appearance. Sending vibes to keep her away for good!!!
lauren f s That makes me feel a little better, did you take a pee test at the dr or a blood test?? I'll probably wait a couple more days cuz i have spent way to much mony on HPTs this month.
So AF still hasn't arrived. I'm waiting for now to see what hapens in the next couple days. I might buy another test, or i may just go to a PG center around here and have a tast done and see where to start (no insurance). We'll see. My mom is getting excited about being a grandma...lol. DH keeps calling me mommy and putting his hand on my belly. LOL, not helpful right now, but he is warming up to the idea. We were at walgreens yesterday picking up my medication and i was walking around and found him in the toy aisle looking at planes and cars and i asked what he was doing, he sai he was "looking at toys for my son".
OK, so the monster tooth is out. I have 4 stiches in my mouth, wich are driving me craxy cuz i can feel them on my tounge when i talk. I can only eat super soft foods, so i spent the entire day yesterday eating...Ice Cream, Super soft brownies, soft bread with butter and then i had a bowl of overcooked pasta with butter for dinner....I'm surprised i didn't turn into one big carbohydrate!!! But at least the damn thing is out. I don't know how i'm going to work today because when i talk it sounds like i have a baseball in my mouth. I work on the phone all day and noone willl be able to understand me. Hopefully they'll have some office work for me to do.

charliezangel - glad you were able to get your tooth out. Hope you are feeling better quickly!
erika - keeping my fingers crossed your little guy stays in for as long as needed.
I'm on CD 12 and have noticed much more CM this month. I have been drinking tons of water and have tried the robitussin. My allergies are driving me crazy, I can barely breathe but I don't want to take anything just in case. I did get an OPK and tested yesterday but so far nothing. When I do O its late int he cycle so its really way too early yet.
Hope everyone is keeping cool in this heat.

Waiting to see if AF shows tomorrow - or Thurs. I could probably test now, couldn't I? (cycle is normally 28 days - occasionally 30) - but trying to hold out till the weekend (if AF doesn't show before then) - that way, I wouldn't have to hide anything at work.
Of course - all of this is just wishful thinking on my part. We'll see. The only thing different is that I usually get a sign that AF is coming a few days in advance (TMI - just a tinge of brownish blood) - that hasn't happened so far and I keep checking (and expecting to see it) everytime I go to the bathroom. I'm already driving myself nuts and this is only our first cycle TTC - ugh!
Charlizeangel - hope your mouth feels better soon. enjoy your ice cream and soft foods :)
Good luck everyone - and have a happy Monday!

bella~Did they have the juice at the gas station?
Chelsea~Of Course I'll be your cheerleader:D How do I know if the grapefruit is ripe? I am going to start eating 1/2 a grapefruit for breakfast after my grapefruit jucie is gone, I've never bought it before! Do you know?
looty~I will have an update below, but my Dad moved in with us this weekend for a couple of months.....so not sure how much BD we'll get in. He knows we are TTC, and he mentioned something about us lettinghim know when we want to BD so he can sleep in the living room downstairs instead of him bedroom (He sleeps DIRECLTY under us.....sigh) but yah......must be quiet now...........
I'm sorry your mom let your info slip to your Gma.........I can understand your fixed feelings on that.
Hope your DH is feeling better;)
charliezangel~OMG, a faint line??????????????? I hate that your DH didnt see it tho:( GOOD LUCK!!!!! I cant wait for you to take another test!
I"m glad your dentist appoint went well, but it sucks you are so sore today....Hopefully you wont have to answer many phones!
Robyn~GOOD LUCK!
Well................my Dad moved in with us this weekend......so our "trying harder" is going to be tough. He will be staying with us for a couple of months until he gets back to work etc. He starts tomorrow after being off for a year, so he is a bit worried.........Anywho, his bedroom is directly under ours................ugh......he knows we are TTC tho, so, yah.....
Anyways, cd4 today, so AF should be leaving tomorrow........going to start drinking my grapefruit juice on Wed if she is gone, and then going to start eating 1/2 grapefruits for breakfast starting this weekend!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunshine, with the grapefruit I think it needs to be semi firm, bright color, I usually have the produce guy pick it out the first time for me just so I know what to look for. Sounds like you guys will have to be a little sneaky with the BDing, sounds fun:)
I will come back and do my replies in a minute, but first a quick question, EWCM vs semen, which one is supposed to float and which one sinks in water? I had quite a bit yesterday and so I did the test in water, it didn't disolve but it was floating, any thoughts?
Sunshine
07-31-2006, 09:59 AM
Chelsea~Thanks!!!! I'll probably ask the produce guy as well!
I remember reading in TCOYF to look in the toilet b/c you can miss the EWCM by wiping b/c it can slide out fast....but I dont recall it saying if it floated or not?!?!? Sorry..........But I do think (for whatever reason) it was the semen that floated and CM didnt....

Charliez~I hope you are able to get a clear answer in the next day or two. It would drive me crazy if I saw a line and my DH didn't.
Chelsea~I just looked it up for you...Semen floats, Cm sinks.
Dh is feeling better so we were able to start bd'ing. I was thinking about it today though and decided that I am not going to push things too much. I am doubtful that we will get pg this month since we haven't in the past but I am trying to hold onto the little bit of hope that it will happen. I just want to relax about it and not force things (even if just in my mind). Wishing everyone luck and hoping that in the new thread we will get a lot of BFPs. This month has been pretty successful. Let's hope next month is just as good or better.

Chelsea524 According to TCOYF, EWCM will form somewhat of a ball and sink like a marble, semen or vaginal fluid (secretions) will usually disolve in the water because it is thinner.
Sunshine i think DH is still sort of in denial. I'm gonna get a digital today to take tomorrow morning. As far as answering phones, that is what I do all day. I call out maybe 170-220 # a day. Outbound sales...lol. But let me tell you, the way i am talking today, i don't think i'll be there long. The inside is still very swolen, so i don't know if i'll stay at work long tonight.

Thats what I thought, thats why I was confused, it formed a ball and didn't disolve but it floated, oh well, nothing today so I'm sure it wasn't EWCM.

Hello All! Good grief, this thread has been so busy I don't think I'll be able to catch up!
Chelsea - even though it floated, the fact that it didn't dissolve makes me think that it's EWCM.
Charliez - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Can't wait to hear from you tomorrow after you test!
Looty - Glad your DH was feeling better ;)
Dancn - You never know, maybe there was one super spermie in there that will make it to O! Besides, no BD is a waste, cause it's fun right ;) ?
Sunshine - Hope your dad moving in doesn't interfere with BDing too much :D . You could always BD on the floor, no creaking bed to make a lot of noise or anything. I'm speaking from experience as we have had my mom, brother and DH's dad stay with us on multiple occasions ;).
Me - Well CD19 and I'm moving through this 2ww fairly quickly. Or at least it feels that way to me. I have no idea when I O'd because it felt like I had several days of bloaty achy feelings, so who knows when it really happened.

RobynScott, your cruise sounds great! Iīm sure youīll have lots of fun. Iīm curious if youīll really be able to resist to test until the weekend. :D Good luck, whenever you decide to take it!
Charliezangel, good to hear that your tooth is out and everything went okay. I remember that my gums were very swollen afterwards too and I still remember that it was awful to feel the stitches with the tongue. But at least you have the worst part behind you. Good luck for your next test! :)
melandtim, why are you on CD 12 when I was quite sure Iīm on CD 13? We started our cycle on the same day, so one of us has to be wrong. Have you asked your doctor about taking your allergy meds while TTC? Not that you develop severe asthma because of not taking them. Hope youīre feeling better soon and good luck with the BD!
Sunshine, I did not try to get the juice at the gas station. But I had still enough left for half a glass and I got new juice today. I have never come across grapefruits that were not ripe but beware of those that are too ripe. At least when you want to eat them and not drink them. I think those overripe ones taste awful and I hate the texture. So buy some that are firm when you take them into your hand. It must be quite uncomfortable to BD with your dad so nearby. When we travel with my parents I try to get a room that isnīt next to theirs whenever possible. ;)
looty, that is a great attitude! :) Iīm crossing my fingers that relaxing might do the trick for you.
DH and I didnīt BD yesterday (it was CD 12) since he was so tired that he already slept on the couch in front of the TV. I was a bit disappointed, especially as I had Oīd on CD 13 last cycle. But then I was quite okay with taking a break since my stomach still felt weird as if Iīd get diarrhoea (I never got it btw and had just that feeling for hours). We plan to start again with the BD tonight though. I donīt think that I Oīd yet but who knows.

Bella, good luck with the Bding, hope you feel better soon
Lana, Thanks, good luck in the 2WW, I hope I will be joining you very soon
dancn, sperm can live for quite a while, I think its 3-5 days, can't remember exactly, plus BDing for practice is fun too;)
looty I hope you are able to catch the egg this month, good luck BDing
Thanks to everyone on the EWCM question
BDing has begun, other than last night I have been getting just the normal, creamy CM, I will probably start using my OPKs tomorrow, for those that use them, do you have to use them mid day? When I work its from 8-7 so I would have to use them either at 8 or while at work(which seems really wierd)

hehe - if I do it will probably only be b/c this is only cycle 1 and I don't own any HPT's yet! :) - planning on buying one in Fl if AF hasn't shown by then. Just wishful thinking really. Guess I'm just afraid of a BFN - or finding out too early and possibly having a chemical pregnancy.
We'll see what kind of willpower I have if AF hasn't shown by Wed. morning ... (or Fri. morning if I wait 30 days)
Bella - good luck with the BD'ing - and have fun ;)
Hi everyone.
Good luck Robyn - enjoy the cruise. And take a test! Crossing fingers for you.
Charlie - Can't wait for you to test again!!
me - still sort of spotting. Not implantation I don't think - it's been several days now. And now it is almost like a very very very light flow, sort of the color of chocolate milkshake, and same consistency too sort of. Yeah, TMI but if I can't share here... ::confused:
let me know if you have ideas. as a newbie I was jst trying to go with the flow... no pun intended. So I have not read tcoyf yet or any of that deal....

Ok ladies - All day today I was thinking maybe we'd get lucky AF is due tomorrow and now I'm starting to feel crampy again - and now, it's making me want to test more than before, just to know. - I should just wait and see if she comes, right?
<----- still at work now and tempted to pick up a test on my way home just to KNOW - pretty silly since if AF comes tonight/tomorrow I'll know anyway, right?
UGH - I never thought I would turn into this so quickly! *lol*
Anyway - if anyone's still on and wants to encourage me one way or another, I'll be at work for another hour or so ....

RobynScott The only thing I can tell you is that for the past 2 weeks I have been disappointed everytime I took an HPT. Keep in mind being "late" doesn't mean being PG. So if AF doesn't come tomorrow, she might come on Thursday....os she might not come at all and you are PG. The only thing I can tell you is at least wait till you really are late because seeing a BFN is a serious disapointment, especially if you are PMSing. I know DH went through a couple cycles with me while I broke down everytime I saw a BFN. If you don't get AF tomorrow, give it at least until Friday.

Thanks Emily - I know you are right. I was trying to hold off till Saturday - just left work for a few minutes for a frozen yogurt (with peanut m&m's) - that helped with the cramps a little ;)
