Looty, not to sure when I am going to test. I am trying to not think about it right now, in hopes that AF never shows and I will then have to make myself. I just started a new job two weeks ago, and its starting to get crazy. But, I am very very very tired at all times. Like can't wait to get to bed. Other than that, no symptons at all. So I am hoping and praying that it will happen this time. Let just wait and see right!!!!!!! Hope all is well with everyone else!!!

Hello Everyone! CD1 for me today as AF found me, on to cycle 4. I was more disappointed than I thought I would be since I felt so different this month but oh well. Even DH expressed a little frustration about how people can get pg on accident all the time, but when we actually want to get pg it doesn't happen right away. So it's nice to know that he's still on the same page with me. On the upside, this also means that I had a textbook perfect 28 day cycle, and that's good news :) .
______
Marriedagoalie - Sorry about the bloating and crampiness. LOL about attacking your DH, I'm sure he didn't mind ;) .
Dancn226 - Glad you had good timing this month, DH and I are still working on that
Looty - Looks like you hit the nail on the head about my cycle this month :)
Melandtime - Sorry about the cramps, that sucks!
Squee - Hope you O'd...
Lauren f s - I think the chunks are just normal CM, in between the creamy and crumbly stage. I get that stage too, before the creamy/EW right before I O and also once I've dried up a little after O.
Katiems118 - Now that I'm TTCing I don't really care what's going on in the future, I just figure it'll all work out. Chances are it'll take a few months and you'll be okay for a Nov wedding.

I'm sorry Lana about AF showing. That IS great that you had a 28 day cycle tho:DBest of luck to you this cycle! Who says 3 times a charm, I think it is 4 for the 4 leaf clover;):D Here's one for you! GOOD LUCK!!!

Sunshine: Thank you! Me too! :)
MrsJackson05: Ahh, you're right. Well as long as it wasn't on the 12th, then we're okay because that's the only day we haven't BD'ed since we started trying. LOL
pacificbliss: Oh my! Two weeks? I don't want to wait that long! LOL
Lanapoo: So sorry about AF showing up! That's a bummer!! I don't know what I am going to do if AF shows up for me all the time... I get stressed out easily. LOL

Aw Lana, I'm sorry AF showed up. Even DH expressed a little frustration about how people can get pg on accident all the time, but when we actually want to get pg it doesn't happen right away.
This is how I feel, even though we've only just started trying. We weren't trying at all when I got pg with DD and now that we're trying it seems so difficult. Rest up and I hope this next cycle is it for you!

Hi ladies! Lots going on in here today!!
Chelsea- I wondered about you! I hope that new cycle will get going so you have another chance!
LaurenFS- I have gotten that a couple of times and jokingly called it RCCM (rubber cement CM). When I mentioned it, others had had it too. Not sure what it means, but it's normal
marriedagoalie- I think you just O'd! I think the 96.0 day was O day and your temps have been climbing since then. That's how it's supposed to happen! Not sure your chart will give you crosshairs since you started charting later in your cycle, but I think you can be pretty confident that you Od! It's not bad that you jumped him, but you had probably already Od by the time you did!
Sunshine- so sorry about your G-grandma and the car, but too cool that they gave you something good to drive in the meantime. You should definitely push them until you are totally happy with your purchase. Don't let them get away with anything! Yay on getting DH, too!
katiems- pooh on the wedding. I say do what you were planning on doing with TTC. You can't put your life on hold for one little day!! You can always alter the dress. At most you will be like 4 months along, so it would probably be easy to alter if you did. I hate it when people butt in to the whole TTC thing. None of the parents know we are TTC and we plan to keep it that way unless we have to start fertility tx.
dancin- what CD are you on??? Do you know when you O'd?? I hope this is it for you!
Lanapoo- so sorry AF found you!! I know how you feel about it getting harder to deal with. It has gotten harder for me every month. DH and I have had the same discussion about it not being fair that people get pg on accident.
Looty- (in my best mommy to daughter voice)call that office again and tell them that you're getting upset wondering what exactly is wrong with your DH. Make them feel bad. You can't just tell someone that there's something wrong with them and then not tell them what!!!!
Me- CD 23, 7DPO. I had a little nausea yesterday, but it could have been related to other things...actually I'm feeling a little yucky now. Also some increased CM today. Someone in the charting thread said that they heard that if you normally have sore BBs before AF, then you won't if you're PG and if you normally don't, you will if pg. So, I am trying to pretend that my BBs aren't a little sore. Anyway, good luck to all!

Marriedagoalie~I dont' think it's bad that you attacked your Dh either, although you will probably get a very skewed view of that in here as I am sure we have all attacked our DH's at one time or another. :p
Glad to hear you got your bding in, Sunshine. I hope you get some good news soon too. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
Hey MrsJackson and pacificbliss! How are things going?
Kaite~I wouldn't worry about it. I am in a wedding in Nov. and I figured if I didn't get a BFP this cycle that I had no worries about fitting the dress because most people I know didn't start showing until about month 5. What style dress is it? That may also make a difference. I wouldn't put off your plans though. It will all work out one way or another.
Dancn~I can understand that thinking. I always think I am going to do that until about 3 days before Af is due to arrive and then I am all consumed. Hoping that being tired is a good sign for you. Hoping and praying for both of us to get a BFP!
Sorry about AF, Lana. I was hoping I wasn't right but typically most ladies cycles are longer than 27 days. Hopefully you will catch that egg next time. TTC can be very frustrating...especially when someone announces an unplanned pregnancy. Hang in there!
Lauren~TTC can be very frustrating. I don't care if you have been trying a month or a year, either way they anxiousness and the hope are there and gone each time. Hope it happens for you soon!
Jess~I heard from the dr. Read below. Isn't it funny how the minute we read/hear something is a symptom for being pg we always have it, until we hear it may not be...Ha! Our minds are very strong, I'll tell ya. Looks like we will be testing pretty close together. Let's hope that we both get BFP and can leave all the testing and worry behind us.
As for me...I finally got to talk to my dr. She started by telling me everything came back normal. I was really confused and wondering if the nurse had given me someone else's test results. I brought it up and she said that coagualtion isn't uncommon when people are bringing the samples to the lab from home, that everything (count, motility, and morphology) all looked good so she wasn't concerned about it at all. :D I was so happy and relieved...even though that means more tests for me. If she had been the one who gave me the results, she wouldn't have even told me about the coagulation. So now I have another 5 days to wait to test (7 to see if AF shows) and then we'll see what we do. I will be calling the dr either way. I could be setting up an HSG or I could be telling her I don't need to because I am pg (preferred call). So here we go again.

Jess71903: I hope you're right!! I'm kinda getting excited now. :)
looty: So glad to hear that your test results came back and everything looks good!! Isn't that a relief?
I do have a question for everyone, though. So, since I may/may not be pregnant, should I stop doing certain things? I think the big thing is alcohol. A week or so ago we had some drinks and I told DH that I didn't think I should (just in case) and he said not to worry about it until I knew. What are your guys' thoughts on this?
dancn226
07-13-2006, 02:26 PM
Jess~~~I think I o'd on July 4th. AF isn't due till the 20thish, so we will see. I hope this is the one to. How nice would that bee. But you never know. My DH was like, hmmm, I am so carious now!!?!?! So, we will see.
Looty~~~It would be a great thing if it happened for us both this month. I will pray for you to. I mean, honestly, I am really not thinking about it, but to tell you the truth my gut is like do it lady test. But I try not to listen to my gut as well, because it also likes to say things like "That chocolate cake is good, and you need to eat the whole thing" Lets just both stay positive.....And pray for NO AF!!!! ;)
LANAPOO~~ I have to admit, I am hoping timing was right. I have no idea, that is why I am really loving this See What Happens. I hope so. Good luck to you next month. I am sure this next one will be the one!!! Just stay confident.....because its the key??!? :0)

Thanks everyone for commiserating with me on the appearance of AF :D I'm just glad not to have wasted one of my good HPT's instead of the cheapies :p
QOTD: Abstaining from certain stuff. Not so much. I tried that the first cycle and then I was like "forget that"! So now I have the occasional drink, caffiene every day, etc. From what I hear, if you do happen to be pg, the baby isn't really drawing anything from your blood supply for like a few weeks.
Ericka_Jarett
07-13-2006, 02:42 PM
marriedagoalie - just continue your regular activities. If you are pregnant anything you do in the first few weeks will have no effect on the baby, because the baby doesn't start getting nutrition from the placenta until they are a little further into the 1st trimester. Life will be miserable if every month for 2 weeks you deny yourself regular pleasures. Most people don't even know they are pregnant until about 6 weeks or so.
pacificbliss
07-13-2006, 04:14 PM
Sorry about AF Lana.
marriedagoalie I would not worry about what you do for the next 2 weeks. The baby won't be hooked up to you for a while.
katiems I'm with Jess, pooh on the wedding. I did the same thing back in March thinking I did not want a December baby. Now I feel so lucky that I got pg that month and get to have a December baby. They can let the dress out if they have to. :D
Looty I'm glad the test results were ok. I'm crossing my fingers and toes for you. Thanks for asking about me, I'm 17 weeks and feeling great.
This thread is moving fast and it's hard for me to keep up but it looks like there's a little testfest coming with looty, dancn226, and jess. I am sure I missed a few of you and I'm always lousy with the SOs so I'll just think good thoughts for all of you and sprinkle a little babydust

Just popping in to say that I agree with everyone about not abstaining from everything. I used to do that and I threw that out the window pretty early. I do try to limit caffiene (just because I started that before TTC) but that's about it. I was getting mad at myself for limiting myself when I wanted to partake in something but didn't because I might be pg and ended up not being pg. I have also heard that the baby doesn't get the stuff from you until later too so I don't worry about it.
Jess71903
07-13-2006, 04:59 PM
I know you are so relieved, Looty! I hate that they made you sweat over it! I am sorry that it means more testing for you, then. We may be on the same schedule. If this test fest doesn't work out for me then I will start the testing stuff too!
Glad you checked back in with us, pacificbliss! I can't believe you are so far along! It just seems like yesterday that you graduated!
QOTD: Nope, not anymore. I, too, learned about the whole not being connected to the mother's bloodstream until around 18 DPO or so (I think that's right!). I don't drink anyway, so that's not an issue. I have quit with the caffine all together during the 2WW and limiting it severely during the rest of the month. I was drinking way too much anyway, and I feel better without it. I once read too much can impede implantation, but that may not have been true. This month I wanted to eliminate anything that I might look back on and blame for not being pg.
Anyone else want to join our testfest? I am thinking somewhere around the 20th too. My 3rd anniversary is the 19th...not sure if I want to do it then or not!

Oh, forgot to tell my nosey person story of the day.
I go to Curves. The ladies that work there are great and really personable. They know most of the people that come there outside of Curves. Anyway, one of the ladies started talking about some baby just as I was leaving. Then she looks at me and says "So when are you going to start trying?" I was appalled!!! That question eliminated my standard "in God's time" answer to when we will have kids. Some people!!! DH says I should have said "right now, I've got to go!!!" Oh well. Just thought I would share. I know we all run into stuff like this.

Thanks marriedagoalie, dancn, pacificbliss, and Jess! I am so relieved!
I didn't realize that you were already that far along either pacificbliss, but I guess if Ericka is due in 83 days you could be 17 weeks. Sheesh time flies! Glad to hear that things are going well.
Jess~ I thought I remembered you saying you were going to be starting testing next cycle. I hope neither of us have to go any further with testing!:D

katiems, I started showing really early with both pregnancies. I remember that I had to wear maternity clothes at 10 weeks with the first pregnancy and that is was quite uncomfortable even in my biggest jeans at 10 weeks during my second. But that is different for everyone. My friend who is pg right now only started showing at around 16 weeks. This wedding is just one day, so I wouldnīt put the TTC plans on hold for that. The dress can probably be altered.
Lanapoo, Iīm sorry about AF! :( I remember from TTC the last time what a bummer that is. I hope you have better luck in two weeks!
Looty, that must have been very confusing! If coagulation happens often when you bring a sample from home, why donīt they offer you a room in their office for getting a sample? Although itīs good news that the result was positive after all, youīre probably not thrilled about having to do more tests. Iīm crossing my fingers for you that the tests arenīt too bad.
Marriedagoalie, I thought about stopping certain things too but I decided not to. In fact I had just asked this question on a German TTC board some days ago and everyone said it was unnecessary. Apart from that you never know if you are one of the not-so-lucky-ones who have to stay in TTC for a year or two. It took me 18 months last time with SWH to get pregnant. I found itīs bad enough not to have coffee, alcohol, salami, parmesan and dozens of other things for 9 months but it would have been a real bummer to live like a saint and not get pregnant anyway. So I only try to eat more fresh fruit and vegetables, take folic acid and monkīs pepper and apart from that I live as usual. With DD I even got really drunk on a class reunion when I was 4 weeks pg because I had no clue that I was pg. I had AF despite being pg and wasnīt TTC and so there was no way I could have known. And everything was still okay because at that time the baby isnīt connected to you.
Jess, I will be 14DPO on July 17th, so pretty close to you.
I have experienced something weird for the past 3 or 4 days. I am 10DPO and I have had mild cramping as if AF would arrive for the past few days. I have not clue what that is. I know that you are not able to feel implantation this early (it started at maybe 6DPO) and I havenīt had this with my two pregnancies. So right now Iīm wondering again whether it might be signs of inflammation or infection although my ultrasound at CD 13 showed no signs of that. But maybe I got one by BD later on CD 13... Iīm torn between hoping that Iīm pg and being quite sure that Iīm not. I already know I will be very disappointed even though itīs only our first month of TTC after the m/c. At least I donīt have to test again and again since I will go for another hcg test to my obgyn on next tuesday. My hcg was 13 last week and so it should either be zero or more than 25.

Everyone makes me feel so much better about still enjoying a glass of red wine. My best friend has made me feel so horrible! Glad to see I am not hte only person that tried it at first and realized they would go crazy!
This thread is flying.
I have tested and thought I saw a faint line but also feel like I am driving myself crazy so I am not going to test again until Sunday/Monday. AF should be here either sat/sunday- not feeling crampy/edgey or anything so I am happy.
sending everyone well wishes and those getting ready to test- good luck. I will be back after I test.

Peewee- you know a line is a line!!! I know that I can create lines that aren't there, though, so I understand your distrust of your eyes. Let us know ASAP!!! I hope this is it for you!
Yay for being with us on testfest, Bella! So that's me, looty, dancn, and bella, right? oh, please, please, please give us BFPs!!!
looty- all crossables crossed that neither of us have to start testing! That would be just like me, to wait until the very last minute to get pg, just getting in under the wire!
me- temp back up this morning at 8DPO and a slight weird feeling in my tummy (nausea??). I have worked myself up so much since next month means testing that I am afraid it will be really bad if AF comes. I need to chill out!!

Thank you ALL for the advice!! It seems like I will do as the conscensus says and just continue my normal activites!! Thank you all, that really helps!!
Btw, I'm on CD19 today and my temp is up for the 3rd straight day, so it does look like I O'ed a couple of days ago! My temp was 98.13 this morning.

marriedagoalie- girl, you are so into the charting thing, you need to join the charting thread! I am in both! Come on over! I definitely think you O'd, although that 96.0 temp may still be skewed a little. If not, that is a MAJOR temp shift!

Bella~I have had some cramping lately too. I guess mine started yesterday and I really thought that AF might show but I knew it was too early (9 DPO). I hope you get pg this month.
Oh my peewee! I say a line is a line too! I will be reserved though since you are feeling fine about everything. I know I would be testing every morning (and probably afternoon and evening) until I got a clear answer. Can't wait to hear!
Jess~I know what you mean about working yourself up too much this cycle. I have tried to relax most cycles, but I have worried/wondered/worked myself up this whole cycle since O. I hope neither of us have to be let down.
Hey everyone else! I hope everyone has a great weekend! Happy Birthday tomorrow Sunshine!

MarriedaGoalie I hope you O'ed looks like you covered your bases pretty well!!
Jess I hope this is it for you, looks like a nice implantation dip maybe, fingers crossed for you!!!! And how rude of the lady at Curves, I just don't understand how people think it is their business.
pewee A line is a line you know, I hope you get a nice dark line in another day or two!
bella I don't think 6dpo is to terribly early for implantation, although I really am not sure, I hope thats what the cramping is, good luck to you
Looty glad the test results came back normal, I have my fingers crossed that you get a BFP next week and don't need to do any further testing
katiems I agree with others, I wouldn't put off ttc until then, dresses can be altered, plus something will always come up that would make it better to hold off on ttc, always.
pacificbliss thanks for the babydust, always nice to have that!
Sunshine Happy Birthday tomorrow in case I don't make it in here, have a great day!!!!
I am sure I forgot someone but that is as far back as it will let me go. Good luck to all the testers, looks like we have quite a few between now and Tuesday!
Me, still boring for me, tomorrow is the last day of provera, then hopefully AF won't make me wait any longer. I went and bought the book TCOFY yesterday, very interesting, it has a ton of info in it, dh looked at it for a minute and said it was written by a man hating woman:rolleyes: some things in it does seem that way but it has a lot of good info. I also bought Baby Name Wizard, that is the coolest name book, I was reading it for hours, rather than just listing names it gives you sister and brother names for each name saying if you like this name you might also like these names kind of thing, also lists nicknames and what names could go with it, I have always liked the name Ali but disliked Alison, it gives you other names that go with Ali other than Alison, and I love the name Amelia but hate the nickname Amy so it lists other nicknames you could use. Really fun.

Happy Friday Ladies :)
Jess - Sorry about the nosy lady, I get the same question too. Once a gal that works in the same building asked me. I hardly know her so I was surprised.
Looty - Glad you eventually got good news about the SA. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is your month!
Bellabonga - Thanks! I'm hoping you're looking at a BFP on the 17th :)
Peewee - Ack! I don't know how you have the willpower to wait until Sunday or Monday to test again, I'm like Looty, I'd be testing all the time to see if the line got darker :o
Marriedagoalie - Yay for O!
Sunshine - I hope you have a very happy birthday! You're such a sweetie :)
Chelsea - Glad you only have one day left of the provera. I bet you're anxious to get started with a fresh new cycle.
Me - CD2, blah. Our first anniversary is tommorow, YAY us! We're on a plane this afternoon to WA so we can see our friends play at the Warped Tour at the Gorge tomorrow. They won the battle of the bands here in AK and we're really proud of them to be playing at a big concert like that. Dirty Little Monkey (yes, that's really the name of the band :D ) rocks!

Happy Anniverary Lana! I hope you have fun at the concert. That is so cool that your friends won the battle of the bands. Sorry about AF though, blah!
I hope that the next test is a lot darker so you don't have to worry about you creating a line Peewee.
Have fun at the waterpark. I love waterparks, but DH doesn't like swimming so I never get to go to them. I agree on piling on the sunscreen....I am a red head though so that is a given!
Me-I am still waiting. I have been feeling off the past couple days. I don't necessarily feel sick but I am not feeling like myself. I was so bloated yesterday and a little crampy. I am hoping that all this is due to being pg but it could very possibly be due to Af coming. Fingers crossed for everyone.

Happy birthday, Sunshine! :)
Chelsea, Allison is my daughterīs middle name, so I really like it a lot. :D Do you really think that youīre able to feel implantation? I have never had that with the two pregancies before, so I guess it is something else for me. Or maybe I have this every month and itīs just that Iīm waiting for "signs" and have noticed it for the first time. Hope your AF arrives finally.
Lanapoo, thank you for the good wishes! :) Iīm crossing my fingers for you for a BFP in August (and probably for me too)!
Looty, being bloated sounds to me as if your chances are excellent for a BFP! :D
Me - nothing new. Still a bit crampy now and then but no sore bbs or anything. I nearly bought an EPT today when I was at the pharmacy. I tried to ignore that aisle and so far theyīve only had regular HPT for 14DPO anyway. Today they had one with a huge pink sticker announcing 10DPO! It was hard and it took me a while to make up my mind but I managed to resist. Why spend $11 on a BFN when I will get a blood draw on tuesday for free anyway?

OMG I have been completely MIA...I haven't had any notifications of posts for over a week or so
I have been so busy I haven't had time to think about TTC. I finally had AF show up...the last time it was here was the beginning of May so needless to say I was happy to have it arrive. Needless to say TTC has been problem after problem because of my cycle. I think I have decided not to think about it anymore. I have stopped charting and stopped OPKs. If it hasn't happened by November than I will be taking myself and DH to the doctors to get checked out. So super frustrating!

A Huge Congrats to you Peewee! I have been trying for about a year and I have had many a buddy on here get their BFP before me and I have never felt anything but happiness for them. If she is a true buddy, you don't need to say anything. Not to say that she won't wish that she was right there with you, but I am sure she will still be thrilled for you!:D

I've been lurking in this thread for a little while. My DH have been TTC by just seeing what happens since the end of April. We just decided that I will start temping. Is there a better time of the month to start?

Lilone- Hi and welcome! If you want to start temping, it's best to start with a new cycle. You don't really have to temp while AF is here, but you really need to start as soon as she leaves in order to get enough temps in to really tell if you have had a shift and therefore, ovulated. If I were you, I would join the charting thread. I am a member there too, and they have a wealth of knowledge about temping and reading charts. If you haven't already, register an account with Fertilityfriend.com. to chart. You can click on the TTC link in my sig to go to mine, if you want to look at what one looks like. I am toward the end of my cycle, so it's nearly a complete chart. Any more questions, ask away!

Hey ladies. I've been a lurker here. Stopped by back in May thinking that were were going to start SWHs but DH didn't feel comfortable at the time. My stats are already on the first page though so I guess I have a head start. LOL
We are officially SWHs. We just got back from a week cruise and during the cruise we UDD. DH was cute too, right before he asked me what I wanted to do and I told him that if he wanted to proceed without protection I was fine with that, but we are taking a chance. I haven't ovulated yet though so nothing will come of that attempt, but at least we aren't avoiding any longer.
I've been charting since the end of November. My cycles have been rather long and I'll be brining that up with my gyn tomorrow since I'll be having my fabulous (not-so-fun) annual. I do O but really not seeing much of a pattern yet.

Welcome back FSUSammy! I know how the Dh's can change their minds. There were a couple times we set a date and when it came Dh wasn't quite ready yet. I hope your Dh stays on this track and doesn't change his mind again. Gotta love the annuals, but at least you will get a chance to talk to your doctor about your concerns. I hope you don't have to stick around hare too long. I will go change your TTC date on your info.
It's pretty quiet around here. How is everyone else doing today? Heres a QOTD just to get some discussion going...
QOTD: When you finally get your BFP what are your plans for telling everyone. Do you plan on telling people right away and why/why not?

QOTD: When you finally get your BFP what are your plans for telling everyone. Do you plan on telling people right away and why/why not?
I plan on telling my Dad and MIL right away.....I think we will wait a little bit to tell all of our friends who dont really know we are TTC, and the people I work with as well.....
But I will definately tell everyone on CC and LJ right away.
Well, I am pretty sure I O'd this weekend, so back in the 2WW! I REALLY hope we caught the egg this month.........

Just checking in to say Congrats PEWEE......wishing you a happy and healthly 9mnhts.
For me, hmm lets see. I am just very tired. This weekend it was like 100 degrees out, and it was killing me. I can usually take the heat, but not anymore. Not to sure what is going on with that. But I was in a bad place yesterday, very hot and very nasty. AF is due to arrive on Thurs. So we will see. If she doesn't show up then I will test. I dont' want to get ahead of myself! I have no pre preg. symptons. I mean I am tired all the time. But I am not to sure if its one of them. I have been getting a lot of backaches latley. So, just a wait and see game here. Hope all is well for eveyone else!!!!

QOTD: When you finally get your BFP what are your plans for telling everyone. Do you plan on telling people right away and why/why not? - We will probably tell immediate family. Once I tell my mom I know that all of my aunts and cousins will know within an hour so I won't have to worry about telling everyone.

I had a really good feeling for this month because of all this weird cramping Iīve had for some days but after using a just-in-case tampon today Iīm very certain that AF will show up tomorrow. :( Well, at least that means Iīve had a 27 days cycle and AF is right on time at 14DPO. So I wonīt go to my obgyn for the blood draw tomorrow and will wait until Thursday instead. Since my hcg wonīt be up itīs better to wait two more days and hope that itīs finally zero.
QOTD: When you finally get your BFP what are your plans for telling everyone. Do you plan on telling people right away and why/why not?
With my two pregnancies so far, weīve told everyone right away. After having a missed abortion at 10.5 weeks, I plan to wait this time. It was very painful to have to call so many people and tell them that the baby was dead. :( OTOH it was good that my friends knew what was going on and were there to support me.
I also have no clue how long I would want to wait. 12 weeks? I guess everyone would know it long before. With the m/c a nosy neighbor asked me whether I was pg when I was just 7 weeks along because I looked so pg. So maybe I would just wait until a heartbeat was confirmed although that doesnīt mean anything since we saw the heartbeat twice before our baby died. So I really donīt know. Probably as long as I could keep my mouth shut and as long as I could hide my bump. But I guess I would still tell it my mom and my closest friends. And you! :D

Jess -
Thanks for the info! I think I will join the charters once I start. AF should be coming on a couple of weeks, so I'll wait until then.
Quick question, I looked at your chart, does the red vertical line mean that's when you o'ed? I'm so clueless about this charting stuff!!

Sunshine, thank you for your kind words. Iīm still having a hard time to deal with the m/c and so I had really hoped to get pg right away again.
I have no clue whether you shouldnīt use tampons before AF shows up. Why? Because of TSS? I only used it for maybe two hours because we went for a shopping trip on foot and I wore tan pants. Better safe than sorry. :p But I think thereīs no chance that AF wonīt show up tomorrow. So that makes an April 24th baby for me if it happens during the next cycle... ;)

Hello All!
Welcome LilOne! And welcome back FSUSammy!
Well, we had a fun time at the concert and now it's back to the grind. I was way too hot (I am from AK after all ;) ) but I managed to survive. Not fun to have AF though when you are visiting the porto-potty's  . So I'm CD5 and AF is gone and now the wait for the BD Fest is on!
QOTD: Right away probably. DH and I have big mouths, everyone already knows we're trying and I don't think we'd be able to keep it a secret for very long. I'll wait to tell my co-workers but we have a close knit group and it will be very hard to do.

bellabonga~I'm not sure WHY you shouldnt wear tampons when you dont have AF....I think I read it on a tampon pamphlet tho.
I too had experienced a m/c, but it was 8 years ago. DH and I got pregnant, you guessed it, our first time.....but it was about 8 weeks when I m/c....but I still think about it, we both do. And wonder what would have happened or where we would be right now if the pregnancy went to full term. Sometimes life isnt fair....Hopefully it wont take you long to get your next sucessful BFP!
Lana~EWE, portapotties and AF? ugh. I really feel for you. That must have been yucky:(

Sunshine~I can't believe that you are in the 2ww again already since we were right on with each other and now with my wonky cycle I am still waiting on AF. I hopeyou get to start our August thread with a BFP!
I hope you are wrong Marriedagoalie! AF stay away!
The tiredness and the backaches sound promising, dancn. I hope you get a BFP Thursday!
Hopefully AF won't show, Bella. I hate when I can tell she's on her way. I am sorry what you have had to go through with the mc. I hope you get pregnant soon.
Welcome Lilone! I don't know alot about charting but I do know that the red vertical line is when they O'ed. I hope this helps.
Lana~ I agree portapotties and Af don't mix. Yuck! Good luck when the time comes.
I guess I'll answer my own QOTD. I am kind of torn because like some ladies said I would like to wait to be in the clear, but at the same time we have tried so long that I have a feeling I will want to shout it from the rooftop. Now that we have started with testing, it is going to be even harder because there are several people who know we are and are waiting to hear results. Many of them know when my next AF is due since we have to set up the next test when she shows, so if I do actually get a BFP it will be hard to keep a secret. I think that we will tell our immediate families and a few of very close friends right away and hope they can keep it quiet. We won't be telling work or other friends until later. I think when we tell our immediate families our extended families will know pretty quickly though. Man that was a long winded answer.
Jess71903
07-17-2006, 02:22 PM
LilOne- you are right, the vertical line is the day I O'd. The horizontal is called the "cover line"and I have no idea how to calculate what it is, but it is the temp that divides your pre-O temps from your post-O temps. It's some sort of average + some of your pre-O temps. Official welcome, BTW!
Welcome back FSUSammy! DH's are weird about the TTC date. Mine pushed it back a couple of times. I have to fight being bitter at him for that since it's taking so long!
Lanapoo- glad you had fun at the concert but heat+porta-potties+ AF = gag me!!!
Looty- I guess since you haven't posted otherwise that you are still in the race? I hope it happens for us both in the next few days and we can put our QOTD answers into effect!
QOTD: Probably 2 sets of close friends right away (one set told us and the other set when they found out). They would be our support if something did happen. Our parents probably a few weeks later- after a Dr.'s appt. unless I end up having to start IF testing, then I would want to tell my mom about that, and therefore tell her right away when I got a BFP. It's a big deal to have a pregnancy announced at our church, so we probably wouldn't do that until at least 12 weeks. We would want to wait to tell most people for exactly the reason bella said. I wouldn't want to have to announce to the world that we had lost the baby. I am not \sure about work. I subcontract under a lady and I guess it would depend on the time of year. I work in a school, so I would want her to have lots of time to hire someone else, but I wouldn't want to have to tell her I had lost one.

Meant to tell yall about this:
Another delima- I was feeling myself up last night (breast exam) and felt a little lump in my right breast. I know I need to call my Dr. but at this point in my cycle, I want to wait and see how it pans out so I can either a) have my 1st pg appt at the same time or b) talk about IF testing at the same time. My mom has had these cysts a few times, and my dr. said I had lumpy breasts at my last annual (she had a name for it and said it was normal), but it still worries me.
Sunshine
07-17-2006, 02:48 PM
looty~I cant believe I am in the 2WW again either! I am trying not to think about it tho:p LOL! I am thinking it is almost easier to think AF will come, so that when it does, it isnt nearly as hard:p LOL!
But ugh, when will AF come for you?:( Darn bag......
Sunshine
07-17-2006, 02:49 PM
Jess~I know exactly how you feel. I have fibrocystic breasts which basically means lumpy:p (I am thinking this is what you have) And have had to have a few cysts biopsied. I was terrified, but they all came back normal.
I hope it is a sign for you:D
Jess71903
07-17-2006, 05:06 PM
Sunshine- oh, good. That does make me feel better. That is what she said I had. She said they used to classify it as a disease, but know now that it is completely normal. I haven't ever been all that good at checking, because it all feels lumpy to me, but this on is definitely a little different that what I am used to feeling.
Sunshine
07-17-2006, 05:12 PM
Jess~Yes, they used to classify it as a disease, and it is actually more common than most people thought! Definately, best to get it checked out! And if you havent had a biopsy in your breast before take someone with you if you would feel more comfortable(If the doctor does decide she wants you to get one). I took my mom with me and it really helped. I didnt watch at all while they are doing it either b/c I am just freaked out by needles etc. But everything will be great! Dont worry!!!!!
Did the dr tell you to stay away from certain things if your breasts start to bother you? My breasts used to be SO PAINFUL, and my dr told me to stay away from caffeien as much as I could. I guess caffeine makes them lumpier and more painful. I do drink my coffee every morning, but I used to drink like 4 a day plus a couple cans of Pepsi.:p Just thought I would throw that out there in case you didnt know!
I'll be thinking of you!:D
Jess71903
07-17-2006, 05:55 PM
Thanks, sunshine! I don't know if I could get DH to go with me or not, but I can' think of anyone else I would want with me. My mom lives out of state. My Dr. didn't tell me anything, really! I didn't know that about the caffine, but I haven't had much at all this month. That was a TTC/health in general decision for me, and I have been able to stick to it pretty well so far. I think just a glass of sweet tea one time out to eat is all I have had! Thanks for the info. I am starting to expect it to be nothing now!
Sunshine
07-17-2006, 06:03 PM
Jess~But definately get it checked out! Best be safe than sorry:D And if your dr wants to do tests you will get an appointment for it, so there will be a little time to plan!

For me, Let the BD'ing begin :) Sorry if TMI - last night was our first, official, TTC BD - CD 14. I don't think I O'ed yet - but not temping so can't be sure. Just trying to go on CM which I think was watery - EW - but I'm still new at this so what do I know.
Just felt so weird (in a good way) to be BD with a purpose - no goalie! woohoo and wow - guess now we really are SWH! I will be THRILLED if it happens this month - but not expecting it to happen so fast so ok if it doesn't. guess I just have to wait and see (and hope to O within the next few days!)
OK - my first ever attempt at shout outs - hope I do ok - sorry if I miss anyone - I definitely can't keep up with the pace of this thread when work is busy

Hi ladies. I just got back from my annual gyn visit. I told the doc that my cycles are averaging 40-50 days long. He wants to put me on Clomid, are any of you taking Clomid? He also drew some blood to check my pituitary and thyroid. He said that with the Clomid I could be PG within 3 months, holy cow!

Thanks RobynScott, Marriedagoalie, Mel, and Sunshine! I am figuring AF will show anytime between later today and Thursday. I doubt it is my body tricking me or just that it is too early because by my estimates today would have been anywhere between 13 DPO and 16 DPO. So I would say the results are accurate.
Good luck bding RobynScott. Isn't it exciting to finally get started?
I haven't been on Clomid FSUSammy, but I know it is used t make you O so maybe your doctor figures it will help your cycles be shorter and make sure you are Oing. When I got blood work done they checked those things on me too, which are also things that can effect Oing.
I hope Af stays away Mel and Bella!
Sunshine~I don't really have any opinion on grapefruit juice because I haven't used it. I don't think I could get past the taste. What exactly is it supposed to do? Help with CM?
Good luck Katie!

RobynScott~Thats okay, I'm blonde too, so I know all about it;) JJ!!!!! Just thougth I would ask!
I dont really like grapefruit either, but if it gives me more fertile CM, I'm all for anything:p
Ericka_Jarett~Thanks for responding! I dont really like Grapefruit at all....but I thought it would be better than cough syrup. Did the robitussin work for you? How long did you use it for before getting pregnant?
Thanks again!
looty~I Think it is suposed to give you more days of fertile CM?!? Thats why I thought I would ask in case anyone knew. I dont really like grapefruit, so I would have to bear through it, but if it helps, I;m all for it!
QOTD:When you finally get your BFP do you plan on telling your DH and family any special way or will you just come out and tell them?
Well, DH is always with me when I POAS:p So he will know the same time I will:p LMAO! So funny...........
I think we will tell our family in a special way. DH's family lives about 8 hours away and I want to do more than just phone them up and blurt it out, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Maybe we c an make them a video or something.........

I am actually sitting here having a conversation about that with my friend right now. I asked DH last night if he wanted to be there when I tested and he said he would like to be, but I think I would rather just take the test, find out and then go buy something cute that says "Daddy" on it (if we get a BFP) and surprise him with it! I think that would be more fun. :)
The family... I would like to tell them the same way... buy them something so that they kinda gotta figure it out... you know? That makes things fun! :D

Sunshine: I've never tried grapefruit juice, but have heard it works. I've also heard that eating grapefruit is good too, and to go for the darker red ones because they are sweeter.
QOTD
I know several people have done it this way, but I think it's too cute. I've found a pink shirt for DD that says "I'm gonna be a big sister" and will take a picture of her wearing that and send it to friends and family. Although, AF is due next week and I won't test until next weekend and several friends are coming over. I don't know if I'll be able to hold it in until then, but we'll see. I'd like to have Ava wear the shirt for DH, but he won't notice it. He barely notices what she wears now unless I point it out to him .

QOTD:When you finally get your BFP do you plan on telling your DH and family any special way or will you just come out and tell them?
I'm sure that I won't be able to hide it from DH for more than 30 seconds (if that) *lol*
As for g-parents - depending on when - if we're lucky enough this month, don't know. If it's August and we know before grandparents day - probably by buying a grandparent's day card and letting them figure it out. I figure that would be fun - but who knows what will happen.
Other than that - no clue :)

I just used the cheap Equate brand Robitussin, no letter at the end. I used it a few days before I was to O and it loosened up the CM I had. Never once did I have EWCM but still got pregnant with proper BD timing. The taste of the syrup seemed to grow on me. The grapefruit on the other hand left a sour after taste even after 1 sip.

looty, Iīm sorry about the BFN! :( Hope we both have better luck next month!
FSUSammy, Clomid does have some side effects. Maybe you could try monkīs pepper pills first. For me they have worked very well and my cycles have become very regular. So if you just have long cycles but ovulate, you could look into that as itīs herbal and doesnīt have the risks clomid has.
Thank you all for crossing your fingers that AF is tricking me but although she is not really here yet, I know she will be tomorrow. I have used another just-in-case tampon today and (beware! TMI!) there was a bit of brown blood on it. So it will start tomorrow which means that this was a 28 days cycle for me.
QOTD:When you finally get your BFP do you plan on telling your DH and family any special way or will you just come out and tell them?
DH was with me when I got a BFP for the first time and we were both too shocked to so something special then. So we just went over to my parents and told them and it turned out they were less than thrilled. I was alone when I got my second BFP and was totally surprised, so I called DH at work and just told him. My parents were on vacation and I told them on the phone and again they were everything but thrilled. I had planned to get a tee saying "Iīm going to be a big sister" to tell the rest of the world but fortunately I didnīt find one. So although I still think thatīs a cute way of telling, I wouldnīt dare to buy one after my m/c. And I wonīt tell it anyone in a special way because I fear to make a fuss and then m/c again.

bellabonga - I just did some research on Monk's Pepper and it apparently also goes by the name of Vitex. Surprisingly I have been taking Vitex supplements for the past month and a half because of my irregular cycle. I heard that it can take up to 3 months to actually work though. Do you think I should continue with the Vitex for the full 3 months before trying Clomid?
QOTD:When you finally get your BFP do you plan on telling your DH and family any special way or will you just come out and tell them? - I'd love to tell DH a special way but I have a feeling I'll be WAY too excited to wait or plan it out just right. As for family probably not, I'm not good at suprising anyone.

FSUSammy, I would say it depends on whether you ovulate or not. If you ovulate and just have long cycles, I would give Monkīs Pepper another try and wait with clomid. At least thatīs what done here in Germany because Monkīs Pepper usually has no bad side effects. Most people over here take Monkīs Pepper for 6 months and if it has no effect they use clomid for 6 months and if that has no effect itīs usually IVF. In fact I know lots of women on my German mommy board who got got pg with Monkīs Pepper. My cycles have gone from 32-40 days to 28-30 days with it.
lauren, thank you for pointing that out but after the m/c I would just be too scared to get one of them. Iīll wait with a big-sister-tee until I have a baby in my arms to prove that Maya is one.

QOTDI have always thought that I wanted to tell everyone in a special way. I have always tested after Dh left or before he woke up so he wouldn't know I tested if it was +. I plan on getting him a small gift and surprising him with it. Same with my parents, with his we may do a gift or we may just tell them (it's their 7th granchild). It depends when it happens and how long I can keep it to myself though. :p

SmittenK- Happy Birthday!!!!
Looty- sorry about the BFN. Me too! You know what they say, though...it ain't over til the old hag rings (the doorbell- ok, so that stunk for a rhyme). Anyway, If you are really that many DPO, you should have AF, right! If it's too early for AF, it *could"* be too early for a BFP! Don't give up yet! (note to self: listen to your own advice!)
Sunshine- personally, if you want to try something to increase CM, I would start with green tea. They make so many good flavors now, you can just about find one that you like. Also, it seemed to work for me. I tried grapefruit juice for like 2 days, but I had to put so much sugar in it to make it palatable, that it wasn't worth it to me!! Lipton makes a good diet green tea now in 20oz bottles.
FSUSammy- I think staying on the monk's pepper to see if it would work would be a good idea before going to Clomid. I have never taken it before, but I have heard bad things about the side effects.
melandtim- I hope your appt goes well Thurs. Let us know what your Dr. says.
Bella- I understand about not wanting to buy anything too soon. Maybe it's not really over for this cycle yet! If it is, good luck for the new cycle!
Robynscott- besides the blonde moment, good job with your first SO! It took me a long time to do that!
Me- 12DPO and BFN this morning. I am not bummed quite yet because AF isn't here yet. Last month she showed on 12DPO (during my VACATION!!!) but my LP has been all over the place, so I don't know what to expect. Tomorrow is my 3rd anniversary, so AF just better not ruin that for me. DH is playing hookey to spend the day with me. YAY!

Jess and Looty sorry about the BFN's I hope it was just to early for both of you, fingers are crossed
bella I hope AF stays away, brown spotting isn't always AF on her way, I hope you get a BFP soon, no provera has not worked for me yet, hopefully soon though.
Sunshine I bought some grapefruit juice to try this next cycle, I don't mind the taste though, I love grapefruits so hopefully I can handle that, I hate tea so I was going to try this before green tea.
QOTD: last time I bought cute frames and put "Reserved for baby G appearing August 2004" and then bibs that say I love Grandma/Grandpa, this time I think I will buy DS#2 a shirt that says now I'm the big brother and see how long it would take them to notice.
I know I missed people, sorry.
Well, I am now on CD73, today is day 4 after finishing provera and no AF yet, so we shall wait and see, I think there was a thread about it I'm going to go search for to see how long it usually takes.

Jess~I dont really want to try green tea b/c of the caffeine. It really bothers my ... breasts b/c of the "condition" I have....Thats why I thought grapefruit juice might be better....But I DO LOVE green tea, I used to drink probably 4 mugs of it a day! We had a guy bring up the leaves back from China (I think). Can you believe a tin of it cost around $80 American?!? UNREAL! It was GOOD tho!!!
Sorry for the BFN:( And a happy early anniversary to you:D
melandtim~Awe, sorry your cramps are getting worse.........:(
Chelsea~AWESOME! I am going to try it this new cycle too! Next grocery shop expedition, I'm going to buy a jug of it, and maybe a grapefruit or 2 as well. Do you know how to tell if a grapefruit is ripe?
I cant believe your body is being so mean to you:( Hopefully AF shows up today or tomorrow for you!
~Well, I am going to try drinking grapefruit juice at least 1ce a day until I O next cycle...if I need to;) I am also going to start temping next cycle as well. I will probably head up to Superstore to buy a basal body therm sometime this weekend.....
Does anyone know.....if I am having regular cycles, can I be safe to assume that I am ovulating? I seem to have a short but sharp pain when ovulation is due to happen, but I'm not totally sure since I dont temp.
Just thought I would ask in case anyone knows:)
melandtim
07-19-2006, 10:04 AM
Sunshine - Regular cycles do not mean you are ovulating. My cycles are pretty regular (27-30 days) however through charting I realized that I do not ovulate every month and the months I do it is very late in my cycle leaving my luteal phase too short. Charting really does help you realize exactly when you O so you are timing BD correctly :)
Ericka_Jarett
07-19-2006, 10:06 AM
sunshine - if you have the same pain each month, you very well could be O'ing. For me I would feel the pain on one side every other month, didn't mean I wasn't O'ing off the off the side, just didn't feel it.
Sunshine

melandtim~Thank you for responding! I really wasnt sure, and I am still pretty new to this. I thought I would start charting without temping just so I could get into the habit of charting, w/o getting over my head. So I now have that down:) I am going to start temping next cycle, which would be my 4th since TTC!
Ericka_Jarett~Thank you So Much! I have the same pain at pretty well the same time since I have started paying attention to my cycles(which has only been 3 cycles). I am going to start temping next cycle (Should be seeing AF in 10 days) to make sure tho:) I really wasnt sure if a regular cycle would mean I was O'ing tho....I thought WoooHooo if it does;)
Thanks again!

Sorry about the BFN Jess! I hope it was just too early and that AF doesnt' show today to ruin your anniversary. Have a good one!
Mel~Sorry to hear about the cramps. I hate that the way we know that we weren't successful in gettng pregnant is that we get nasty AF and get to have cramps.
I hope Af shows soon Chelsea! Good luck with the grapefruit juice.
Sunshine~I hope the grapefruit juice and temping work for you. I don't know if I could get past the taste. Just as other people have said I don't think that just because you have regular cycles means that you are Oing. I think the pains are a better indication, but what do I know?
Hey everyone else!
I haven't officially gotten AF but I have started spotting. The spotting was heavy enough I am using a tampon, but I know AF hasn't started because I don't have cramps yet. I guess when those start I will call the doctor.
Ericka_Jarett
07-19-2006, 11:23 AM
I only realized I was having somewhat regular cycles with charting for several months. With temping I noticed the rise in my temp that could indicate that I was Oing. Just know that you don't necessarily O every month either. I went a few years with only Oing 4 times a year if that since I didn't have regular cycles at all. Once I got some temping in, I knew about when I would be Oing so could cover our bases better.

Chelsea, CD 73?! That must be horrible. I hope your body stops acting so weird next cycle. Thanks for your positive thoughts but just as I predicted it, AF showed today. I want to try the grapefruit juice too. Iīm one of the lucky ones who like grapefruits! :D When are you supposed to drink it? The whole cycle? The first half? Just around ovulation?
Sunshine, same questions to you about the grapefruit juice: When are you supposed to drink it? The whole cycle? The first half? Just around ovulation?
Ericka Jarrett, now Iīm really confused. I always thought temping and charting would be the same. Could you explain the difference to me?
Marriedagoalie, personally I wouldnīt test as early as 12DPO. Keep in mind that up to 75% of all pregnancies end with AF. So it would only bring you even more disappointment if you tested on 12DPO and had AF two days later. Thatīs why Iīm only testing if AF is late.
katiems, twice a day? Wow, thatīs hard-working! ;)
AF has arrived for me today, so itīs back to CD 1. Which brings me to a question: What do you think about always adding your CD in your postīs title? As we are quite a lot of people, at least I always have a hard time to remember on which CD everyone is.

Hello!
Great idea about putting the CD in the title Bellabonga. Sorry about AF :(
Nothing much going on with me. Waiting on O, we'll probably start the BD Fest on Sunday or so. It seems funny to say that, it's not as if we BD more frequently or anything. We just know that's when it 'counts' :p
I forgot to answer the QOTD, DH will find out when I do as I'll probably be waking him up in bed with the hpt. I'll probably do the picture frame thing with an EDD for the parents. But it's also a possibility that I'll be lazy and just tell them outright.
ETA: Katiems118 - Those could still be O pains. I tend to have a general crampyness in that area when I O with a sharp pain or pulling every once in a while.

Marriedagoalie~I say that you could test. I try to avoid testing until after I expect AF, but I understand your reasoning. I tested earlier this cycle because of dental xrays so I say if it will give you peace of mind you can go for it and see what happens. I know some women get a BFP that early.
Katie~I agree with Lana that the pains could still be O pains even though they aren't on one side or another. Keep up the bd'ing!
Sorry about Af Bella. I think it's a good idea to put your CD in the title of the post. It may take me a while to remember though so don't jump me if I forget sometimes. :p
Hey Lana! I know what you mean about the "bd fest." I say the same thing but although sometimes it happens more frequently, a lot of the time it's the same as usual. Good luck!
Still no AF or cramps. This is probably way TMI but the tampon just had brown tinges to it, but that probably means AF will show up over night or tomorrow morning. I hate overnight visits!

So here's my story from this evening. My neighbor just came over. She had a baby 4 months ago and she brought me over some prenatal vitamins. Anyways, we were talking about the possibility of me being pregnant and she was telling me how weird it was because when she found out she was pregnant, she had been having some weird cramping. It turned out that it wasn't menstrual cramping, that it was actually the tendons/muscles around the uterus contracting (or something like that). It was weird because I hadn't even told her about the cramps that I have been having for the past two days yet. I thought maybe it was just coincidence, but she was telling me how her cycles usually were (between 28-32 days per cycle) and how she would have cramping the morning that she started her period or a little bit before, but not anymore throughout her whole cycle. That is exactly how my cycles are. ????? Weird. She offered me a pregnancy test that she had at the house, but I declined. I knew it is probably too early still.
Anyways, just thought I would share my story. :)

Hi everyone! I'm onto cycle 5 now. The good news is that cycles 3 and 4 were both 33 days, and I think I O'd on the same day both cycles. So maybe that means that my system is getting better regulated since it's been a few months since I stopped BCP. I'm taking a break from temping this month - DH thought I was "stressing over charts" too much, and it will be nice not to have to set the alarm while on vacation in a couple of weeks.
I did order some Prolief (http://saori.myarbonne.com/arbonne/saori.nsf/p1/3?OpenDocument&startonpage3=1). Not sure if anyone has heard of it, it's basically a botanically-based progesterone cream that you apply topically...supposed to help balance the system. I don't think many people use it, b/c I started a thread in Family Planning and got zero responses, lol. But I have 2 friends that got BFPs their 1st cycle using it, and one of them had been TTC for a year. There are some other stories about it here (http://www.arbonne.com/popups/802/babies.html). I figure it can't hurt! I think I'm going to start drinking grapefruit juice regularly too. I actually like it a lot so it should be pretty easy.
I've missed too much lately to do SOs, but sorry to everyone who's had AF show up and happy birthday to all those who have celebrated recently. Oh, and congrats pewee if you're still reading! I think I missed your announcement before.

marriedagoalie....I got my BFP on 12DPO. If history were to repeat 12DPO should have been AF and I only took a test cause my temp didn't drop but was the highest it had been. It was a VERY significant line so I think I could have probably gotten a BFP on 10 or 11 DPO. Anyhow...another reason I wasn't going to test was because I was cramping and bloated just like AF would have caused. I had no other symptoms that would indicate pregnancy. So you never know. If your 12DPO that day I'd go ahead and test. Oh...and just for comparison my first cycle off the pill was 33 days. Good luck!

Bellabonga - sorry I confused you. For me charting was what my CM was doing, plus taking my temp daily. Sometimes I just put down what my temp was and didn't pay attention to my CM at all. Some people may consider them the same, but if I only did my temp I say it's temping, if I checked CM, temp and BD timing than it was charting to me.
Does that make sense?

QOTD:When you finally get your BFP do you plan on telling your DH and family any special way or will you just come out and tell them?
DH leaves for work before I get up, so he won't be there when I test. I have bought this book for him: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0836280180.01._BO2,204,203,200_PIsitb-dp-500-arrow,TopRight,45,-64_AA240_SH20_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg I have read reviews that say it sucks, but I don't think he'll read it anyway. I got it mostly b/c I thought it was a cute title. So I'll probably give him that and maybe a bib that says I love daddy or something. As for the rest of my family, it all depends on when we get a BFP. I'd like to try to wait until close to 12 weeks to tell everyone, but I may not be able to hold out that long. I would like to do something fun to tell them, but I haven't decided what yet.

Katiems, I also believe that your cramping on CD 14 is related to ovulation. I had strong middle pains this month too since I Oīd with my right ovary. When it happens on the left side, I only notice it at the left ovary region and not in the middle. Weird.
Looty, CD 45 is quite long! I hope AF shows up soon if there is no hope left that you might be pg.
Sadie, I hope the Prolief works for you.
Ericka Jarrett, thank you for the clarification!
I went back to my obgyn today for another hcg-check after my m/c. I hope it was my last. Two weeks ago it was 13, so I hope that it finally comes back at zero.

Good morning! I've been busy with work lately and haven't been able to come by and update. I had a dr appt on Monday to talk about TTC. Pretty basic stuff, but I felt good talking it over with my dr. He says that b/c I've had one healthy baby and am pretty young it should be easy for me. He also said to relax and enjoy it, advised not to buy an ovulation predictor kit (wasn't really planning on it anyway), and not to test unless I miss a period. I was given several handfuls of samples of prenatals, too.
I have mixed feelings about this month. I've been a little sick to my stomach and very hungry and tired lately, which were my first real symptoms w/DD. That makes me hopeful, but at the same time, AF is due on Tuesday and I've been very bitchy and irritable, which is a sign she's coming. Guess we'll wait and see. :)

Hey Sadie! I hope the prolief and the grapefruit juice work well for you. I have never heard of prolief before. I will have to check that link out.
Bella~I have bought preseed before. I would say if you and DH like to use a lubricant otehrwise it is worth it, but if you don't like that then I am not sure. I liked it because sometimes with trying to bd so much it would help lube things up a little better. ;)
Mel~I hope you are able to get some help from your dr. Glad that your cramps are gone. I think they came to me now!
FSUSammy~I guess you are in your 2ww then. I don't really know how to read a chart much so I can't help much but if your temp is up and you have pains I would say you probably Oed.

I've heard that it can sometimes take a couple of days for temp to go up after O FSUSammy.
Bellabonga - I buy pre-seed. I've had it a couple of months, I'm not pg obviously but I really like the product because it's not sticky like some of them can be. I just wish it came in a bottle or something instead of individual tubes, because there is no way that we need that much.
I had a bunch of stretchy EW yesterday but I think it's too early for me to O so I didn't take advantage of it. It was weird though. I had planned on starting the charting thing with my 4th cycle but I really just don't feel like it yet. I always thought that when the time came I'd be obsessing about every temp. Oh well, I have my BBT so I'm ready to go when I do finally decide to chart.

bellabonga~I read that you are suposed to drink it everyday until you O....Just going to see if I can find what I found...
I found 2 things....
~Yellow grapefruit juice will increase cm. Drink 3 glasses a day from the day your period stops
~grapefruit juice increases cm. Drink at least a glass a day until you ovulate.
Sooooooooo, I'm not sure exactly:p I cant really find anything else on it.....Going to do one more search and if I find something I will post ASAP! But I will drink 1 glass until I O, or think I O anyhow:p
Oh, and I agree I think it would be a nice idea for us all to write what cd we are on in the subject line! Adding mine now!;)
Oh, and I am sorry AF SHOWED:(

Sadie~Sorry AF showed, but that is great your last 2 cycles were the same! YAY!
I am afraid with the amount of people who take a break from temping. Makes me wonder if I shold even start.....
Best of luck this cycle!
Ericka_Jarett~I'm glad I'm not the only one who classifies 'charting" as CM etc and "temping" as....temping:p I confuse more people than not! LOL!
melandtim~sorry AF showed. I wish you the best of luck this cycle!
FSUSammy~YAY! I hope you did O!
Jess~I am SO SORRY:( HUGS.
Best of luck to you this cycle.
lauren~BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!!
Married~I always wait until at Least CD28 to test(then again, my cycles are 27 days long)....thats me tho. I would hate for you to get a bunch of BFN if you were in fact prenant b/c you tested too early....Good Luck!
looty~So sorry AF showed. Best of luck to you this cycle tho:D
Lana~Oooo, EWCM? YAY! Still waiting for that here! So you do have a bbt then? I was looking at a drugstore yesterday on prices and WOW for the digi ones. I am pretty sure Walmart has cheaper ones tho.
I enjoy charting, but am scared to temp. I think I would love to know if I am actually O'ing tho or not, so I am pretty sure I am going to give it a try next cycle....
GOOD LUCK TO YOU THIS MONTH!!!!
Well, no real updates on me. I cant BELIEVE how fast my last 3 cycles have gone! Like, cd 19 AGAIN?!?!?!? LOL!
I am still not holding much hope for this cycle. We didnt BD as much as I wanted. DH got sick, and is still sick. Actually he is at home right not:(
Having probs with my car still, we actually phoned yesterday and talked to the head sales guy and he said we could exchange this car for a new one. But when we talked to our sales guy he basically said he wanted to see if they could fix it again etc etc. And I told him that this is getting ridiculous. We have had this car in the shop 4-5 times and we have only owned it for 2 months. I am NOT taking the chance on it trying to get fixed again. Like they obviously couldnt fix it the first 4 times, so I am not going to lose my car and more money to try again. So anywho....we are getting another car. Well, if the finance company will re-finance us. Our sales guy said that they might not b/c they like the person to have the car for awhile, so I told him that it was ridiculous that I get burned b/c the dealership sold me a lemon. My husband told him that if we didnt get refinanced we wouldnt be keeping the car either, we would walk away. Boy, he sure changed his tune shortly after that comment.
Anyhow.....BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE SOON TO TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay Girls, so you must tell me, I am on CD 30, and NO AF yet. I am wanting to test, but part of me is scared that I will get a BFN!!?!? So what do I do?! Test, or not to test is the question. I usually get AF feelings around now. I have had NONE. So, I don't know what to think. BUt then again I have no preg. systmpots at all. I mean I am horribly tired all the time, but that can be said for anything. WHAT DO I DO. PLEASE HELP, ADVICE PLEASE, TELL ME. In case anyone doesn't know, my DH and I are just seeing what happnens, I o'd on the 3rd I think, and my CM was huge and we B'ds on the 2nd and 3rd, so that is why I am carious. But I don't want to let myself down. So, I don't know what to think. HELP!!!

dancn226: I say test. At this point, you are going to be just as let down if AF shows as you are if you test and it's a BFN. That's my thoughts, anyways. :) Good luck!!! :)

dancn226~How long are yuor cycles normally? If you did O on the 3rd, then you would be 17DPO....so if you were pregnant, chances are high you would get a BFP. I know that seeing a BFN upsets me more than getting AF....but if your cycles are normally less than 30 days, and being you would be 17DPO, I would test if those were the case:D

(Some informative tidbits I have found on grapefruit)
http://www.utoronto.ca/health/shop/pdf/shoptalk_7-4_apr2004.pdf
~Grapefruit and its juice can increase or decrease the effects of some drugs due to its effects on your metabolism.1 glass can increaseblood drug level and can last for 3 days or more. Ask your pharmacist about combining grapefruit juice with any prescriptions you may be taking.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/35740/how_to_have_a_baby_boy.html
~drink 3 glasses of grapefruit juice a day from the day your last period stops and it will increase your cervical discharge.
http://www.thelaboroflove.com/articles/improving-the-quantity-and-quality-of-your-cervical-mucus/
~Besides drinking water each day, you should also drink grapefruit juice. The components of the grapefruit juice will aid in helping to produce extra cervical mucus which will in turn help you in your conception endeavors.

dancn226: Depending on how long your cycles are, I'd test. AF is due for me on Tuesday, but mine can be anywhere from 26-30 days, so if nothing shows up before next Friday, I'll wait and test then. I am considering getting a test while I'm on my lunch break and testing at work. They desperately want a baby around here and I made the mistake of mentioning to a few co-workers that we're TTC. Now EVERYONE knows .
I'm still exhausted. I'm hoping this is something positive. I've also felt icky all day. Not sure if it's anything to be hopeful about or not, but I'm hoping so.
DH and I are stopping by the store tonight and I think I may try some grapefruit juice. I don't care for it, but I can drink down real quick ;).

Ha! That's right! I am usually one that will tell girls to wait if it's too early but if you think you Oed on the 3rd you should get a definitive answer. I think I Oed on the 4th and I got AF today so you should be good. Not always, but usually if you are 18 DPO then you can guess you would be pg. Test! Test! Test! Good luck!

Jess, Iīm sorry about AF! :(
lauren and marriedagoalie, Iīm crossing my fingers that you are experiencing pg symptoms! :)
looty, DH is... well endowed :o so weīre usually using a bit vaseline. I got pg twice despite the vaseline but I never knew that you werenīt supposed to use something like that. So thatīs why I thought about getting preseed.
Iīm sorry that youīll have to through with the HSG now. Do you already have an appointment?
lanapoo, since Iīve never used it, I canīt imagine the individual tubes. But isnīt it possible to use only half of it and then use the other half on the next day? Or does it dry out too soon?
Sunshine, wow, I didnīt know you are supposed to drink three glasses! So far Iīve only had one per day. I wonder if it could influence the monkīs pepperīs effect but I donīt want to ask my obgyn about it. Maybe Iīll ask an online doc.
dancn, test if you havenīt already! :D
I went back for another blood draw yesterday to see if the rest hcg from my m/c is finally gone. Nope! It only decreased from 13 to 8 in two weeks. :( So even after 8 weeks there are still traces of the m/c left in my body. No wonder I didnīt get pg. Apart from that I asked them to find out where my results from the humangenetic lab are and if my poor baby had been examined by it at all. Good for me that I asked because suddenly after that call they got my results in yesterday. They said my doctor would call me today past 4pm and tell me the results. So maybe Iīll find out today what went wrong, if there is a change of this repeating itself and if there will be some actions taken. Iīm also curious if Iīll find out whether it was a boy or a girl. So please cross your fingers for me that Iīll get some answers. I fear that they wonīt be able to tell me the gender and that the baby died because of my respiratory infections which they would not be able to tell.

Sorry Bella you haven't gotten your results yet :(
My doctor wants me to start clomid but she doesn't deal with infertility so she is transferring me to another doctor in the practice. So unfortunately there goes this cycle. But so far my temps have been a straight line so this may be a good month for us on our own.
Good luck to everyone this weekend!
bellabonga
07-21-2006, 05:42 AM
melandtim, does it take so long until you get an appointment or is it already too late to start clomid this cycle? Iīm crossing my fingers for you that this is your month nevertheless!
My obgyn took me by surprise and called me at 12.45pm when I was on the playground with DD. He said that the results wouldnīt be in completely. I donīt know how to translate this properly but so far they have only done a fine tissue examination. I have no clue myself what that really means. Again they did not find any evidence that there have been chromosomal abnormities. I asked about the sex and my obgyn said he didnīt know it. So I know as much as I knew before. He expects another report by the humangenetic lab and I asked him to call me once itīs in. So Iīll probably have to wait another 8 weeks for that and I still donīt know if it was a boy or a girl. :( My obgyn wanted to get me off the phone as soon as possible and so he didnīt explain anything to me. I asked him whether they also tested for hormonal causes and he said no. No clue if theyīll do that in the second report and if Iīll get to find out the sex then. At least I remembered to say that I want them to send me a copy.
Apart from that AF is here full force and I feel totally washed out. Iīm already taking iron fizzy tablets as well as calcium, magnesium, iodine and folic acid. The heat is killing me (itīs between 90 and 100 degrees) and I could stay in bed all day. Today Iīm really frustrated. I wish it was at least already CD 13 but this 2WW at the beginning is the worst part of TTC.

bella - clomid is started on either CD3 or 5 and since today is day 3 I have no chance. I was very disappointed. AF is so extremely painful for me that the htought of another month is too much.
I agree totally with you the first 2 weeks are the worst because its a whole nother month before you know again.
Why is it taking so long for you to get results? Is that typical where you are? I woulod think they would want to know the cause in case there is a chance of it happening again.
FSUSammy
07-21-2006, 06:23 AM
bella - Sorry you haven't gotten your results just yet.
melandtim - FYI, Clomid can also be started on CD2. My doc just Rx'd it for me to take from CDs 2-6.
So I "thought" I O'd 2 days ago. My temp this morning dropped and I know its definitely not an implantation dip since DH and I haven't DTD for well over a week. Plus normally after O my BBs get extremelly sore and they were for maybe 1 day and now I'm fine. I don't know what's up with my cycle. It seems like every time I go on vacation my cycle gets so screwed up it turns out to be anovulatory. It's like my body gears up for O and then can't sustain it for some reason! The frustration!!!
Thanks for letting me vent.

CD 18 - don't know whether I O'ed or not.
bella - sorry you're not feeling well and still don't have your results :(
I'm no good at SO's - so I will just say hi to everyone for now - for those with AF, I hope she is gone quickly and without too much discomfort - for those waiting to tets - good luck!
As for me, I guess this is CD 18 (counting the 1st day of AF is CD 1) - I'm not too hopeful. We only BD'ed once on CD 14 (what can I say - it's been a crazy month) - and I'm not even sure if I O'ed. I had some watery? CM again today - my only other day with a lot of CM was the day after BD so I don't know if it was true CM or not. If it's not this month, I'll be ok - hopefully next month DH and I will be more on top of our game (no pun intended ;) )
Now a bit of a silly/selfish whine for a second if I can - 3 of my neighbors (on my street) have had baby girls within the last 3 months. One had twin baby girls in April - another, twin baby girls 2 weeks ago tomorrow, and another, a baby girl yesterday.
Now for the silly whine - I'm a little disappointed b/c all of those little girls will be the same age and will get to hang out together and if / when we get PG, our child will be at least a year younger. (and our close friends all had babies within the last year - so none the same age)
/ end silly whine - I just wish we were having kids at the same time and I could join in the fun.
Ok - hopefully sometime in the coming year will be our turn - and I'll have lots of people to get tips from.
Thanks for giving me a place to get out my silly whine (DH thinks I'm nuts to feel like that :p
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE TESTING - AND WAITING- HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Sorry I wasn't around much yesterday. I spent all my CC time pouting in my journal. It was a bad day. I do have a Dr.'s appt Tues at 11:15am. I have no idea what will happen at the appt. I just said I needed to start fertility testing and she made the appt. I hope something actually gets tested and it's not just a consultation. Anyway, that's where I am. I feel like I should move on to the "still at it" thread. Maybe I will see what Tuesday brings and then do that.
Robyn- I have the same thought ALL THE TIME! There have been 3 new babies born to people at our church in the last 2 months and all I can think is that my child will be in a class all by him/herself! Of course, if this takes much longer, we may get in on the second round of children for these people. Who knows. There is one due in November and at the earliest I could have one end of April, but even though mom is sweet, I would rather not have a play-date age child with her (see my journal, yesterday's rant to read more about her)
FSUSammy- I hope it's just a late O for you! Get on the BD train, just in case! I O'd on CD 14 for the 1st 5 months that I charted, then all of a sudden, I was late. Who knows.
bella- I am sorry those results are taking so long! Don't they know people sit and worry until they know! So inconsiderate. I hope you get some closure soon and can feel confident about TTC. We used Pre-seed a couple of cycles and loved it. I do hate the individual tubes and it says not to re-use them, but we did. That reminds me, I need to order some more.
mel- I am sorry you have to wait to start Clomid! As if you haven't waited long enough already! :(
Squee- sorry for the bad mood! I hate it when my post gets eaten! CC has been so busy lately that it's almost necessary to copy your post before trying to post it in case that "server is too busy" message comes up and eats your post.

Bella~Sorry to hear that you didn't really get any more information than you had before. I do already have an HSG scheduled for Tuesday. I agree that the first 2 weeks of the cycle are the worst.
Mel~Sorry about the doctor issues and not being able to start Clomid right away. That would be frustrating.
FSUSammy~I am guessing that you are saying that your temps are not agreeing that you O'ed a couple days ago? Sorry to hear that andi Hope that you just O late and it isn't an annovulatory cycle.
RobynScott~I can understand your rant, but at least you are also able to look on the bright side of being able to get advice. I hope you bd'ed at the right time. You know they say once is all it takes.
I scheduled my HSG for Tuesday at 9. My Dh was going to go with me but has meetings that day, my friend, L, was going to go but she is going to be out of town, and my mom is out of town too. I guess I will just have to suck it up and go by myself.
I had a rough day yesterday with AF coming, still being blah from a pg announcement the day before, scheduling the HSG (and finding out I have to go my myself), and then my sister called and told me she is pg. I am happy about it and can actually think about it now without bursting into tears. I feel so bad because I feel like I should be nothing but happy (which I am so excited for them) but I couldn't help but be sad for myself. I feel like a bad sister. I was good and kept it in while I was on the phone with my sister though because she was already really nervous about telling me because she thought I was going to be mad (never). Anyway, I am still a little sad for me today, but I am excited to be an aunt!:)

Hey Marriedagoalie and Jess! I guess we cross posted.

dancn226 Have you tested yet?? If not, good luck!!
Sunshine The juice I bought is pink, is it supposed to be yellow grapefruit juice? Mine doesn't say Coctail, just Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice, do you think its the same thing?
bella Sorry you haven't gotten the results you are looking for. On Preseed, we use it and cannot use an entire tube, we use half one time and the other half the next time, seems to be fine both times.
melandtim Sorry you have to wait until next cycle, hopefully you can O on your own this cycle and won't need Clomid next month!
FSUSammy sorry the temps went back down, but since it had been a week since last BDing the timing would have been off so hopefully you will O very soon and can catch the egg.
Robyn Not a silly whine at all, I feel the same way, SIL just had a baby 3 months ago so they will be at least a year apart, no one else in my family is having kids anytime soon so ours won't have any cousins around its age.
MarriedaGoalie I hope AF stays away, good luck testing soon!
Me, well I woke up to spotting this morning, hopefully AF will be here full force later today. I never thought I would be so excited about getting AF but after 75 days it is time she finally came. I am hoping this cycle will be more normal, I don't plan on temping but I will keep track of CM, cervix position and taking OPKs, so hopefully with all that I will know if I have O'ed or not. DH will be out of town August 21st-26th, which would be CD 32-37 if no AF by then so hopefully I will have somewhat of a noral cycle and I will O well before then.

Okay, here is an update. Still have not tested. I woke up today and thought AF was coming...still not here though. So I decided that on my lunch hour, I am going to go home and test. I need to know, because i have a bachloretee party tomorrow, and I want to know if I will have AF as a vistor tomrrow or not. So, now here is the question, how bad is it to test during the day? Just carious! This is my first time doing this, so any advice is nothing but good advice!!!!!!

Good question. I was wondering the same thing because I didn't go buy a test last night and I was going to test this morning, but didn't get a chance and now I'm going to be going out of town this weekend. If I don't test this afternoon, then I probably won't be able to until Monday morning. :(

If you are far enough into your cycle, you could get a BFP during the day. They say that the best time to test is FMU as it's most concentrated, no water diluted it and such.
Chelsea524
07-21-2006, 08:51 AM
I agree with Ericka, dancn being what, about 18 DPO right? You should be able to get a BFP during the day, MarriedaGoalie, only being on CD26 I would wait, it might be to early even for first morning testing, if you can't test this weekend Monday would probably be best anyways.
Good luck to both of you!!!

Chelsea~Good luck to you this cycle. That is exactly what I do for "charting", and I do find that it helps, and I can see if my cycles will be regular just from comparing to the cycle before!
dancn226~its not Bad to test during the day but your (whatever it is called again, hcg?)levels will be more concentrated in your first morning urine. But I am sure if you are preggers it will show!!!!! I AM SO EXCITED and cant wait to hear how the test goes!

Chelsea524 - Yay for spot! Hope AF soon follows :)
Dancn226 - I'm so sorry! I'm not sure what to tell you about an annovulary cycle. I think the only way to tell it's happened is to chart your temps and if you don't have enough of a temp jump after O then it may be anno.?
Marriedagoalie - I'd wait a little longer to test. Of course I say this and I totally tested on CD26 last month! :D
Sunshine - Good for you on sticking with the gp juice. I'm trying the green tea method myself. I guess we'll see!
Katiems118 - Sorry about no O. Are you sure you won't be able to fit in a quickie when the house guest goes to bed? It never stopped DH and I, even with Mom right downstairs :o .

Fsusammy:no, I Am Not Charing, But I Do Have A Good Idea, That It Happens A Few Times, Like After Having A Few Normal Cycles, I Usually Get One. So, I Knew It Was Coming, Just Hoping Things Would Be Different If You Know What I Mean. Oh Well, There Is Always Next Month. I Just Thought It Would Have Been Perfect Because That Was Our 1 Year Anniversary, So Talk About Cool Story. But Whatever.
Lanapoo: I Should Really Chart, But I Just Get Really Confused, And Would Probably End Up Just Giving Up On It Anyways. If Things Dont' Work Out With In A Few Month, Of Just Seeing, Then I Probably Will, But For Now, I Want To Jsut See. No Pressue, All Though, I Was Very Upset, So If It Happens Once More Like This, I May Just End Up Charing To Know For Sure.
Thanks Everyone For Being So Positive. I Appericate It. This Stuff, I Just Dont' Understand How Some People Just Have Mistakes, And There Are People Like Us, Who Want It So Bad, And It Takes So Much. Werid How Life Works Out You Know!!!!

dancn226~OMG I *SO* know what you mean.....my SIL had 2 beautiful babies, and that was enough for her. So she got her "tubes tied".....can you believe she STILL SOMEHOW GOT PREGNANT after that?!?!? So yah, needless to say, they both got "fixed" this time....
I say to my hubby alot its amazing anyone gets pregnant....

melandtim, Iīm sorry that you are too late for clomid in this cycle. Maybe you could call them on Monday and ask if it is still possible to start on CD 6 since FSUSammy said CD 6 would still work as well?
I have no clue if itīs normal to wait so long for the humangenetic results. My obgyn estimated 2-3 weeks for the results, so 8 weeks is probably pretty long. This is why I was taken aback that the report is still not complete. I have asked an online obgyn about it and he said that during a tissue examination they would examine the cells for various things like chromosome defects. So I am wondering why they did not find out the gender while doing this. Which gives me the feeling that I will never get an answer to this question although it would have been very important to me.
Yes, my hcg-check is blood work. But they just take one small test tube. Why do they want to do a hcg-check with you? You only develop hcg when you are pg.
FSUSammy, Iīm crossing my fingers for you that you Oīd and your temperature was just influenced by something else.
RobynScott, I know how you feel about the age gap but I wouldnīt be too sad about it. I remember in 2000 three of my friends had their babies which made me feel totally left out. I finally had DD in early 2003. Since then no one has had a baby and the next will be my friend in 11/2006. I was sad too that my girl had no one her age to play with but it wasnīt that bad. The 2000 girls liked to hold my baby as if she was a doll and they were crazy for here. As soon as DD was able to crawl, they started playing with her. And when DD was able to walk and started to talk, they became really good friend despite the age gap of 2-2.5 years. Apart from that I love the hand-me-downs we get from them. :D So one year really isnīt that much. Your baby will belong to them after just a couple of months. And then they will be jealous because youīll have the youngest of the bunch!
Jess, I hope you wonīt leave us! Post over there too but donīt leave. Is there any reason on the package why you shouldnīt re-use the preseed?
looty, Iīm sorry you are having such a hard time! It sucks if you have to go in for the HSG alone. DH brought me to the hospital for my m/c but couldnīt stay, so I know how bad that feels. But at least you will know more after the HSG. I can also relate that it must be hard for you that your sister is now pg while you are still TTC. Itīs great that you can still be kind of happy for her and I hope you can celebrate two pregnancies really soon! :)
Chelsea, okay, now Iīm convinced and Iīll get the preseed. If you can use a tube twice, then it isnīt that expensive anymore. ;) I only hope it arrives in time since I guess Iīll have to order it in the USA. Maybe Iīll go and ask here in the local pharmacy tomorrow if itīs available here too. I hate asking for such things! :o Iīm crossing my fingers for you that the spotting indicates AF and CD 75 turns into CD 1!
Sunshine, I donīt think my stomach could take more than one glass a day! Iīve asked an online obgyn about the effect of grapefruit juice on monkīs pepper but she didnīt know.
dancn, Iīm sorry about your BFN! :(
Thanks to everyone for your support! I really needed that since Iīm quite down that the results didnīt tell me anything. Besides the fact that I probably lost a healthy baby just because of some respiratory infections which just isnīt fair and which doesnīt make any sense at all (as in: it was better this way). Iīm also pretty pissed at DH since I told him today in the morning that my obgyn would call after 4pm with the results and he hasnīt asked once what the outcome was. He is home now for 6 hours and did not ask. Can you understand why I often feel like Iīm the only one interested in this whole m/c and TTC issue?

I hope this is AF and that your cycle this time is shorter, Chelsea!
Mel~ Maybe they said an HSG instead of HCG. That is what I am having done and it is when thye shoot dye into your tubes to see if there are any blockages. Just a question because although they may want to do bloodwork to check things like thyroid function and prolactin to see if they show an answer to your ovulation issues, but I don't know why you would have an HCG. Just a thought.
Sorry about bfn/af dancn!
Katie~ Just covertly bd! You could still get pg this month!
I think you and I have the same line Lana! I would have no hesitation with people in the same house, but in the same room. I don't think so.
Sorry you feel you are the only one thinking about or worried about the mc and ttc, Bella. I can see how you would feel that way because I am not sure my dh would ask eitehr and I know I would be upset. They are men though. they're hopeless. :p
I just want to thank everyone for your thoughts about my sister and the HSG. I am totally over the sadness for myself after talking to my sister more today. We talked about how both of us and our family hope that we are able to be pg at the same time. I am getting excited about her having a baby and being an aunt now. I am still kind of nervous about the HSG but I am trying to look at the bright side of it...it is supposed to increase your fertility for the next couple months after having it done, even if there is no blockage. I'll take whatever help I can get at this point in time.

Well, AF showed yesterday, I am very happy to finally start a new cycle although I have to say, not having AF for so long (almost three years between pregnancy with DS and IUD) has made me forget how bad it is, cramps are terrible and DH has said he is moving to his moms for the next few days because I am so snappy at him:o

Sunshine, thanks for the hugs!
Chelsea, thank you for that link! It said that I could order preseed there or at any pharmacy. So I printed the page about preseed and took it to one of the local pharmacies and ordered it there. It will probably arrive in a couple of days. Oh and feel free to ask about the strange things on that page! :D Iīm really happy for you that AF finally arrived! It must be horrible to cope with such a monster cycle. Hope youīll have more luck next month.
looty, yeah, maybe most men would act that way. DH finally asked me yesterday morning for the results because I got a letter with the copy from my obgyn and DH brought me that letter. And he didnīt even feel bad that he forgot asking because he thought it was still soon enough.
I hope your HSG goes well and really increases your fertility! And youīre probably right that they want to do one with mel as well. That makes much more sense than a HCG-check.
Marriedagoalie, good luck testing! :)
lauren, thank you for your sympathy! Iīm crossing my fingers for you that AF stays away!
While itīs great that the copy my obgyn sent me already arrived yesterday, itīs not so great that they messed up again and sent me the wrong copy. They sent me the pathologistīs report instead of the humangenetic labīs report. So I will have to call again tomorrow and talk to those unfriendly receptionists.
Hope you all have a nice weekend! :)

Happy birthday, looty! :) I hope all your birthday wishes will come true! :D
Though I have not posted in this thread yet, just wanted to say thanks.
We are TTC, and like most of us, I just kind of have a feeling or hope that this is our month. I think I am 8 or 9 dpo. So... of course 2ww is just making me nuts. I've been crazy thirsty, and a little crampy in my back, bbs sore. Of course the last 2 or sort of normal for me, so who knows. BUT I wanted to know from you very educated TTC ladies, is CM around this time telling?
Every day (especially mornings, and we aren't bding anymore) my CM is wet. Even outside, when I wipe.... does this tell anything at this potential stage in the game?
Thanks!

melg Most women usually dry up after O and stay pretty dry or creamy, but every woman is different, are you charting to tell you that you O'ed? If not you may not have O'ed yet and are just gearing up to now.
Thanks Bella, glad that website helped you out, sorry you got the wrong report, thats to bad
MarriedaGoalie, Thanks, actually AF showing up was a good thing, I was on a 74 day cycle and had taken provera to bring AF on, but thanks!Any news yet? Good luck testing tomorrow!!

Ooooooooooo, and I must still be sleeping b/c I am cd22 not 21:p
No, I'm not charting... just swh. The month before on the 14th I got a twinge (sort of suddenly) in my left side... so I think that was ovulation. Of course, not sure.
this cycle we bd'ed on cd 9, 13, 15, 16, 19.
We did use some lube (not preseed) in the early bding so I really do not want to get my hopes up, but I have just been soo thirsty that I am wondering...
150 ounces of water when sitting inside at work (so not in the heat of the outdoors) does not seem like something that would occur otherwise!
Also, quick question... how do you count when AF shows? First time you get blood, first time you get real blood? For the first day last cycle (not unusual for me) it was more like sort of spotting, then the second day lightg bleeding... then a normal period starting on the 3rd day.... not sure if that first day of spotting should really count as cd1?
thanks for the help!!

Hi ladies!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOOTY!:D :D :D I hope you can get your mind off of TTC and enjoy your day!
melg- some women do get increased CM when pg. I also noticed wet CM last cycle, though and I obviously wasn't pg. I guess there's no good answer to your question!
Sunshine- I hope this is your month! We are due a BFP or 2!
Chelsea- it feels weird to say this, but YAY for AF! Glad you get to move on to the next cycle! I hope this one is nice and normal for you!
Bella- I hate that they keep screwing up!!! If it was any other business, I would ask to talk to the manager, but I don't know who you would ask to talk to in a Dr's office!
me- ho hum at CD 4. I hope AF goes away by the time I go to the dr. Tues, although I don't know if she will even have to examine me. I ordered some more Pre-seed, which should be here tomorrow. I really kina hope these tests find something wrong so that we can either deal with it and fix it, or even if she tells me I will never be pg, at least we can move towards adoption and just have a plan (I know that's premature). I just want to know SOMETHING and not "well, we don't know why you're not pg. Anyway, I will keep yall updated.

Last BCP: Nov 05
DS/DD : none yet
MC/Stillbirth/Infant Loss: MC Feb 02
TTC since:Jan-March 06, now we are just seeing what happens, not really "trying".
Hi there, i'd like to join. We are taking somewhat of a break from really trying, and we're just leaving things up to God right now. I've been off BCP since Nov and don't plan on going back on. I charted for a little while, but i started forgetting to temp. Now i'm just keeping track of the days.
My cycle has been all out of whack lately. Before i went on BCP it was 29-30 days every month, then BCP for 4ish years, then i went off BCP and they went back to 29-30 days. Last cycle (7 months off BCP) I went 35 days, thought i was PG, no such luck (lol) and got AF on day 36. This cycle, I'm already to day 35, no sign of AF. Not PG, i got a BFN yesterday morning. SOOO, I don't know if it's just from the stress from our move (we moved across the state about 3 weeks ago). i dunno. anyways, i thought i'd join you ladies.

Yay! Good luck Marriedagoalie!! ;)
I'll be hoping for you. This was our first real month trying too, so let's hope we both get beginners luck! And of course wishing BFPs for everyone else on this thread too- all deserved!
I am not ready to test yet - although this morning it was quite tempting!
It is still too early though, and I know that, so just trying to keep it in check. Would be so much easier if I didn't know that there is a test waiting for me already in the house! if we still had to run out to CVS to get it it would be easier, but I ordered some preseed and it came with a free hpt.

I need some quick advice.
I'm 99% sure I ovulated either the 7th or sometime that weekend. For the past week now I've been sick to my stomach, much like I was when pregnant with DD. I'm also extremely tired, even when I get 12 hours of sleep. I wake during the night to go to the restroom and for the past 2 days my boob have been super sensitive, to the point where it hurts to wear a bra.
AF is due on Tuesday but I'm going crazy wondering if I'm pregnant or if I have some really strange, new AF symtoms. I'm getting a test tomorrow, I can't wait. But is it too soon to tell?

Hi charliezangel! Welcome to the group!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOOTY!!!
Chelsea - Yay for AF finally showing! Hope next month is much much shorter.
Marriedagoalie - keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
Bella and Looty - Maybe I misunderstood her. But she made it sound like it was bloodwork and that I didn't need an appointment to do it (our lab is a walk in). She specifically said DH would need to make an appointment for his SA. I hope its not HSG, that does not sound like fun. I will be thinking of you Looty. I think its a little too early to be doing something that drastic.
Me - CD 6. AF was really short, only 2 days. But my temps have been really stable so maybe this is our month!
FSUSammy

melg - AF is first sign of RED.
charliezangel - Welcome!
Looks like I'm in the 2ww. I have NO clue when I O'd though. My temps this past weekend have all been up and of course its kinda funny how when in your 2ww you start analyzing how you feel. Like I've been bloated and at times feel light-headed. So of course that turns into, what if I'm PG. LOL I really really doubt it, if I am then man DH has super-sperm!

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome!!!
So today is CD 36. I have no clue when I O'd and I am 6 days late. PG test on Saturday morning gave me a BFN....But no AF...I'm gassy, irritable, hungry, and getting up to pee in the middle of the night, which i haven't done in years. So they are either AF symptoms or PG syptoms. God only knows at this point because i don't have $$ to buy another test. I'm actually kinda hoping maybe it's just AF symptoms cuz we still won't have insurance for another month or so. But then I found out last night that my friend might be PG...soooooo
Anyway, that's my good morning speach....i need either AF or BPF, cuz i'm getting sick of these long cycles. I'm not used to them.

Hi everyone....
I'm following in FSUSammy's footsteps and am moving over here from Charting to Avoid. DH and I decided at the beginning of July to throw caution to the wind and see what happens! We'll be SWH until the beginning of 2007, at which point we'll go back to avoiding for a few months (DH has a weird job where we'd really prefer not to get pg during certain months because he'd be traveling for the birth!).
Me: Tracy (26) - Birthday: April 27
DH: Keith (26)
Married: June 25, 2004
Last BCP: charting since Sept, 2004, BCP prior to that

Right now, I'm 12 DPO...semi AF symptoms on the horizon, so we'll see!

Nothing exciting over here. Iīm still on CD 6, so Iīm waiting for the BD to begin. But the preseed already arrived today at the pharmacy and I picked it up a little while ago. It was very funny when someone from the pharmacy called because the girl was muttering so much ("your....ummmm....medical product has arrived") and I could really feel her blushing through the phone. :D Hope itīll help. And now after all these good news here, Iīm off to have a huge glass of grapefruit juice...

Well I think AF is on her way out, I am going to start drinking some grapefruit juice to increace my CM and I am also going to go down to GNC and buy some Vitex(I think thats what its called) same thing as Bella's monks pepper stuff. Hopefully that will regulate my cycle a little bit. Anyone know what kind of grapefruit juice your supposed to use? I have been away for too long to do SO's like I usually do, but I wanted to say thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a great birthday and a great weekend. It was great to see so many birthday wishes. :)
Welcome Motray and Charliez! Hope you don't have to stick around too long.
Mel~You are probably jsut getting some blood work done to check different levels. That is usually the first step along with the SA.
I'm just hanging out today. I found out that my parents may be coming home tonight...or at least my mom. She wants to be here for me tomorrow for the HSG. That is so nice of her but I told her she didn't have to do that because they are supposed to be visiting my brother right now and they would be cutting their visit short.

Congrats Lauren and Married what great news.
For me its onto a new cycle. I think my issue was we weren't not trying as hard last month. I am telling you, this is goign to be a different cycle. I am going to do as much BDing as possible. So, I am looking forward to that. My husband and I were quite disappointed, but that is fine. We will get it this cycle, it if kills us trying to :0) Gotta stay positive. Oh well, onto CD 4 for me.

So - I took the plunge yesterday and bought OPK. I'm really thinking there's no way in heck we got lucky on the first try, so yesterday I went to Tar-jay and bought my first box of OPK's to use next month!
Gotta admit though - I'm kinda hoping that Murphy's Law takes effect. B/c I bought a box I can't return (already opened the box) - maybe I won't need to use the box next month? (ie, lucky on the first try) - I'm doubtful, but a little wishful thinking can't hurt, right? ;)

Congrats Married and Lauren!!!!
And Happy Belated Birthday Looty!
Ha! RobynScott, you're so funny! That was totally the reason behind me buying a thermometer and a bunch of OPK's. Thing is, I'm CD12 and I haven't used any of them this month! I'm so lazy :p
So here I am at CD12, and DH is in middle of nowhere Dillingham for work and won't be flying back until tomorrow night. Hopefully he won't be too tired to get some BDing in! Luckily we managed to BD yesterday morning AFTER our cabin guests left ;) . This month I'm going to try just laying flat on my stomach after BD instead of laying on my back with my hips elevated. I've got a tilted uterus and I recently read that the propping thing doesn't do us any good.
ETA: Oops! I forgot to welcome the newbies. So WELCOME Motray and Charliez!!!

Lanapoo - I don't think I realized (remembered?) you are in Alaska. I was just there last month and I loved it! I especially loved Seward and Talkeetna - Talkeetna was so cute! (though I'm not sure I could live there year-round)
On the bright side - if we aren't PG this cycle, I can drink whatever I want on the Caribbean cruise I will be on in two weeks! ;)

RobynScott - Glad you had a good time when you were here in AK. Honestly, I don't know how anyone can live in AK if they are not in Anchorage or Wasilla. I just couldn't handle being in a town as small as Seward or Talkeetna :o . I'm sure you are going to have a great time on your cruise! DH and I went last year and it was so awesome! We drank A LOT, and had fun going to all the bars on board :D .
