I have to say, I'm glad that LC finally got over Stephen. He seems to think that just because he's single now and has shown some intrest she'll just fall at his feet.

It's been a while since I posted but here's my catch up responses...

A. The sundress for prom thing- I think the slinky dress started in 2002 for some groups. My highschool prom most of the "A crowd" wore slinky black dresses that they couldn't fit underwear under. I still went w/ my princess ballgown and it made me feel that much more beautiful. Let them dress like skanks.
B. Jason and LC- I just don't get it either. Like another poster said. She has it all: beauty, smarts, real goals, and the $$ to reach those goals. Why the heck would she date Jason? Honestly she should be dating one of these shipping heirs or someone else w/ a future.
C. What is up w/ Stephen switching schools to follow these girls?? He is such a loser! And now he is dating Thrishnelle? Let's embarrass yourself some more Stephen! Who's next??? Omarosa?

Okay, I'll be the one who goes out on a limb here and say I think Jason may really like LC.

He seems genuinely interested in her. He kept complimenting her, and I don't recall him ever doing that with Jessica or Alex. And it seemed to me that they were having a decent conversation, but MTV was playing music over them so we just saw their mouths moving, smiles, and such. He always seemed so bored with the other girls.

The car. He drove that silly car of his dad's on their date, when on dates with the other girls he drove his truck. I think he was trying to impress LC.

He was talking to Talan about her and Talan told him something along the lines of her being special and I think Jason agreed.

He seemed different with LC. I can't put my finger on it, but he just seemed different.

It seems Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County has taken a cue from Josh Schwartz's source material, The O.C., and raised the emotional ante for its sophomore season. And by ''emotional,'' I mean harrowing, humiliating, and grating. This season looks like it's gonna hurt, and sorry, kids, there will be no respite via witty repartee — Dieter's not exactly Adam Brody.

With Lauren out of high school, Kristin's the new narrator and BGOC this year, and she wasted no time in unsheathing her claws, trashing Lauren — ''or LC, as her friends call her,'' she sneered — and blowing off the seemingly devoted Stephen. A montage showed him and the other seniors from last season returning to our beloved Beach for winter break in their respective modes of transport (planes, trains, automobiles!), setting up a second montage in which Kristin distanced herself from him while he wallowed away to Dashboard Confessional. She opted to shop over making time for her former true love. Harsh, baby, harsh. But that was less painful than watching their tense reunion, which couldn't end soon enough. The sight of Stephen — still so in love and now so in pain as well — struggling (and failing) to stay stoic before the girl who forgot him in less than one semester...Oh, how I miss last season's Stephen, too charming and carefree as he blithely bounced from Kristin to LC and back. And now we're left with this sob story.

But Stephen's not alone, as Dieter has also joined the broken-hearts club. Remember all those times last season when he was labeled ''Stephen's 'Wingman' ''? Never made much sense, given that both spent most of the year in relationships. Now he's free to fulfill that role, as he's been cast off by Jess for some guy named Jason, a Ryan Gosling look-alike with a roving eye.

While it seems Jess is being duped by a playa (sorry, Jess, those hipster-cute wide-frame glasses aren't helping you see any better), Kristin has no excuse for her vindictiveness. At the party, she wouldn't let her friend Gary tell Stephen about her new relationship before she herself loudly announced her new love for all to hear. Kristin wanted to be the one who broke the bad news and wreaked the ensuing havoc. Argh! And just who is this new boy toy, ''Matt'' from USC? Hmm, could that be Matt Leinart, Heisman-winning quarterback of the national champion USC Trojans? (Google it, the rumors are everywhere.) The same Matt Leinart who for some curious reason decided to stay at USC for another year rather than enter this year's NFL draft and join the 49ers of my hometown, San Francisco? Elbow surgery, right....Looking at the big puddle of goo our good Stephen has become after leaving Kristin and moving to the Bay Area, I suppose this Matt kid would be wise to stay in SoCal for one more year.

But I digress: Last year, I thought LC was being unfair to Kristin when she referred to her as a bitch in virtually every episode. But nothing from LC's biased viewpoint could ever prepare us for the narcissistic, self-centered harpy standing before us today. The king of cool — the Stephen of yore — is dead, victim to his former flame. All hail Kristin, the queen of mean — but in a cute kinda way.

Think I'm being too hard on Kristin? Too sympathetic to Stephen? Why do the LB kids eat only pasta? (This week's Pomodoro-dinner count is 2: Jess and Jason; LC and Stephen.) Will Jason be faithful to Jess? Will Kristin and Stephen somehow get back together, or has he already moved on to LC? Did Lo's brief cameo leave you hungry for more? And how about the Niners' chances at the playoffs this season?



If this is true I am going to be sick!!! I am sorry but I can not stand Kristen she bugs the shit out of me :mad: and for her to be "dating" someone as fine and as talented as Matt Lienart is just HORRIBLE :rolleyes: I hope this is NOT true I really do. LoL, if MTV is good at something it is repeating a show 5,000 times. So it will be on at least 3 times on Saturday and 3 times again on Sunday. I can pretty much guarentee that lol. I also know that it depends on where you are because I have noticed that different states sometimes have different shows repeating at different times. So your best bet would be to check out www.mtv.com or your local TV Guide and im sure they have it. Sorry if I was not that big of a help.

Well, pretty much they showed the "gang" putting on a fashion show to help benefit the people who lost their homes in the CA mudslide. At the fashion show Jason was partying it up and Jessica was there to, she was bouncing from guy to guy but spent most of her time on Jason's lap. LC saw it and told Jason she didn't want anything to do with him, she was really pissed and really upset. That's the most of what they previewed.

I'm in education, and around here, when you say someone's 'Not Walking' you mean he/she is not graduating. I honestly don't think Talan is the type to just not show up at graduation, as social as he is. I think what Kristin meant was that Talan was not graduating from HS, and that is the reason she mentioned he was going to get his GED.

This happens more than you think. It often comes down to one or two classes at the end of the year that a student needs to pass to 'walk.' Sometimes, at the bitter end, the student doesn't make it. Sounds like what happened in this case.

If Talan was really behind in credits, meaning he'd probably have to redo a whole new school year, it would make sense that he chose to get his GED rather than repeat Senior year. A GED isn't better than a HS diploma, but at that age, some kids could care less.

I mean I thought counselors these days called parents or sent notes home when there child is behind in credits. Well that is how it was when I graduated high school back in 98' not to long ago :p I guess my point is if I were his parent id defenitly not allow him to be apart of this show. Just for the simple fact that in order to get to the point of NOT graduating you would have had to really screw things up in your jr and senior yrs! Obviously that was the times he was on the show. Running with the "Laguna" kids: Foam parties. Wow. Dun-zo.

If this were an episode of MTV's "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County," it would be a sunny Saturday afternoon, and Alex M. and I would be shopping at Zebraclub in downtown Seattle, and I would be saying things like, "Ohmygod, so cute" about a pair of white, slouchy cowboy boots. Wow, I'm really good at being 18.

After spending the weekend chasing the Laguna kids all over town — shopping on Saturday, dinner at Joeys Saturday night, brunch at the Sheraton on Sunday — I have a confession to make: I kind of have a crush on Jason now. But hold your disbelief for just a second, because I'm getting ahead of myself here ...

Alex M., Jason, Lauren ("LC") and Dieter were in Seattle in support of Dieter's charity, Running Home 4 Teens (rh4t.com), which he founded last year to raise awareness for teenagers suffering from depression and substance abuse after battling depression himself over his breakup with Jessica. Meantime, Stephen and Kristin also happened to be in town on Saturday night to host a foam party, which I didn't realize actually existed outside of episodes of "Elimidate," but anyway.

Since UW played USC on Saturday, I used the opportunity to bring up the subject of Matt Leinart when I met Kristin at the Grand Hyatt that evening. They dated for a couple of months at the beginning of "Laguna's" second season.

"He saw me on the show ... and called me out of nowhere one day," Kristin said. "I had no idea who he was, so I looked up his picture on the USC Web site, but it was a really bad picture, so I was like, 'Ew! I'm not calling him back!' " (I looked up his picture, too, and she's right — he looked kind of like Bob Guiney from "The Bachelor." Not hot.)

Kristin, who lives in Los Angeles and is pursuing acting, arrived hand-in-hand with Brody Jenner, 22, who starred in the short-lived Fox reality series "Princes of Malibu." He just bought her a French bulldog puppy, which she named Bentley.

By the way, Kristin and Steph-en are so not getting back together. Dun-zo.

But I'm over it, because I'm pretty sure Lauren and Jason are the new Kristin and Stephen. Yes, they are totally dating, and he lo-o-oves her. He told me so as we were sitting outside Joeys Saturday night — he was smoking Parliament Lights and I was wearing his black fleece hoodie because it was cold and he offered. I know what you're thinking: I can't believe Pam was wearing fleece.

Here's what I was thinking: I can't believe Jason knows more than three words. I asked him why he never talks on the show. (Sample dialogue: "Wow." "What?" "Nothing.")

"It was just the situations they put me in. They [MTV] set you up and they'll be like, 'Listen, you're going to go to this place and talk about this.' It makes me really uncomfortable," he said.

That whole breakup scene with Jessica? Fake.

"I broke up with Jessica three or four weeks before that," Jason said. "I wasn't going to call her and break up with her on camera for real."

He doesn't talk to Jessica anymore and he said he doesn't care for Alex M. much either. (I love Alex M. I want her to be my new best friend.) Jason and Jessica dated for less than two months; Jason and Alex M. dated for "like a minute," she says. "It was really fast."

"Jason's like the guy who you get a little buzz on and then you kiss him," Alex M. said. "I'm telling you, everyone has kissed Jason." (Later, I asked Kristin if she was the only girl in Laguna who hadn't kissed Jason. "I've kissed him!" she laughed. "But that's it.")

Jessica, meanwhile, is going to community college in Laguna and recently started hanging out with Dieter again. "She comes up [to Los Angeles] and I've been going back to Laguna a lot," Dieter said. "I love the girl and I'll always love her. She knows that." As for a reunion between the couple, he said, "I dunno."

Stay tuned. "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" airs 10 p.m. Mondays on MTV; a second-season marathon is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Nov. 12. The season finale airs Nov. 14.

Some final tidbits:

• Alex H. is moving in with Alex M. (and out of Kristin's place — scandalous!) in Los Angeles. Alex M. recently set her up with a guy in a band and they are now dating.

• Casey's stepdad invented the frozen burrito and she lives in the old Gucci mansion in Laguna, according to Alex M. "MTV kind of forced me to be friends with her," she said.

• Alex M. is recording an album. So is Talan.

• Jason, Stephen and Dieter live together in Los Angeles in a 16th floor high-rise. Jason and Stephen are taking acting classes; Dieter is interning at a talent agency. None of them cleans the apartment. "You walk in there and you don't even see the floor," Jason said.

• Kristin just scored a small role in an upcoming Al Pacino movie called "88 Minutes." She doesn't know what the part is, and she didn't have to audition.

• Stephen is currently single and looking. He wants someone who is mature, has a good personality, loves to have fun and "can keep up." And by the way, he never hooked up with Paris Hilton.

Guess who I saw last weekend???? I saw LC, Alex M, Dieter, and Jason in Bellevue. They were eating at my hotel and I saw them again at the mall. Crazy stuff. LC is so pretty. I was going to check out the Zebraclub but I thought I would be the oldest one there and of course my son who is 2 would be the youngest, kind of embarassing.

ITA, I think this is my last season for the simple fact that it is becoming far far to fake. 1st season was pushing it but this 2nd season is ridiculious with its setups! Although I still continue to watch this season :o

Like no way. How could MTV say it’s “The Real OC” when clearly it’s not. We’ve obviously heard this all before but now its coming straight from the actors mouth. The gang was in Seattle to support Dieter’s charity, Running Home 4 Teens. Who knew one of the kids from LB was going on to do some good things instead of trying to become an actor? Go Dieter! Anyway, the reporter has a heart to heart with Jason and this is what he reveals:

“It was just the situations they put me in. They [MTV] set you up and they’ll be like, ‘Listen, you’re going to go to this place and talk about this.’ It makes me really uncomfortable,” he said.

That whole breakup scene with Jessica? Fake.

“I broke up with Jessica three or four weeks before that,” Jason said. “I wasn’t going to call her and break up with her on camera for real.”

He doesn’t talk to Jessica anymore and he said he doesn’t care for Alex M. much either. (I love Alex M. I want her to be my new best friend.) Jason and Jessica dated for less than two months; Jason and Alex M. dated for “like a minute,” she says. “It was really fast.”

“Jason’s like the guy who you get a little buzz on and then you kiss him,” Alex M. said. “I’m telling you, everyone has kissed Jason.” (Later, I asked Kristin if she was the only girl in Laguna who hadn’t kissed Jason. “I’ve kissed him!” she laughed. “But that’s it.”)

Jessica, meanwhile, is going to community college in Laguna and recently started hanging out with Dieter again. “She comes up [to Los Angeles] and I’ve been going back to Laguna a lot,” Dieter said. “I love the girl and I’ll always love her. She knows that.” As for a reunion between the couple, he said, “I dunno.”

UGHH...I just finished watching this week's episode...JASON IS SUCH A FRIGGIN idiot!! I dont understand why everyone is sooo into him! Poor Lauren...I had a highschool boyfriend cheat on me (only we had been dating MUCH longer) so I felt her pain!!

I thought this was such a juicy episode...poor Talan, he sucked...but Alex sounded pretty good!

Like OMG! I can't believe Jason totally kissed Jessica in front of LC, but then he was like "No, she came onto me," and then Jessica was like "No, it never happened," and then Dieter was like "Why are you lying?" and Talan was like "I'm so nervous!" and Trey was like "Oh no! A landslide!" and Cedric was like "I'm dancing in pink undies!" and Polster was like "Hi, I'm Polster!"

Yes, it was a drama-filled episode of Laguna Beach last night as the kiddos cobbled together a fundraiser for local landslide victims. Who would have thought assembling every major player in the Laguna landscape would have resulted in absolute chaos? Well, clearly the producers, who I'm sure had plenty of influence on this whole event in the first place. And God bless 'em. This was one of the best episodes of the season, or dare I say... EVER! I mean, yeah, there have been some classic Laguna dramas, but none have featured the delightful bonus of Talan and his merry band of music makers. Move over Bai Ling. You've got competition.

Tonight's episode began in typical form as Kristin babbled about the various romantic intricacies plaguing the teens for the past few weeks. She shifted gears however, and in the amusingly morbid understatement of the day, our intrepid narrator announced, "Then something really bad happened," as we cut to many crumpled houses, destroyed after a spate of Laguna landslides. Man, even Mother Nature wants to be on this show.

Well, we already knew this episode was going to be memorable, just because for the first time ever, it looked like the teens would have to take note of events not involving dating, shopping, or gossiping. To be honest, this tonal shift left me feeling a little disoriented -- perhaps even chilly with mild claminess. Nevertheless, Kristin revealed her skills as an on-the-scene reporter as she said, "A landslide destroyed like twenty homes in Stephen and Dieter's neighborhood." Like twenty homes? OMG! That's like crazy! Cray-cray, if you will.

Luckily, since the adults were too lazy to do anything about it, Kristin informed us that the teens were arranging a benefit to help the victims. And when I say "teens," I mean everybody. Don't forget, this was summer break. All our friends -- or at least the cool ones -- were back in town. Wow. This fundraiser was going to be the Live-Aid for Laguna. Except, instead of raising money for awareness, they were raising money for Hummers and plastic surgery. Yay!

Nevertheless, it was time to help out their fellow neighbors, and so Stephen and Trey came up with the catchy fundraiser title, "Fight the Slide 2005." Um, bad news guys. The slide already fought. And I'm pretty sure it won.

Kristin's little opening voiceover eventually came to an end as she said, "We were just hoping we could get through one night without drama." We then cut to Jessica. That was the producers's way of saying, "That night without drama? Yeah, that's not going to happen." Anyway, the opening scene was oddly without our dearest Roz, or Alex H. as she's officially known. Fans of this site know I have an uncontrollable tendency to call Alex "Roz," simply because I think she bears a striking resemblance to Peri Gilpin, the actress who played Roz on Frasier. At this point, it's not so much that I'm trying to force a joke out. I just really can't think of her as anything BUT Roz. Kind of like how a random nickname will just stick to someone. Okay, enough explaining.

Anyway, as I was saying, the opening scene did not feature Roz nor Kristin. Instead, we found Jessica and Dieter hanging out in a kitchen, talking about the big fundraiser. Dieter revealed that he'd be emceeing the event, which was logical because he does have such a magnetic, larger-than-life personality... But then conversation shifted onto Jessica (shocker!) as Deet (my new nickname for Dieter. I would write Diet, but it looks like i said the word "diet.") asked if she still talked to Jason -- or J. Wahl, as the kids call him. Dieter, what sort of question is that? Of course Jessica still talks to Jason. She leaves a bloody carcass at his doorstep every night!

Sad aside: it just occurred to me that I totally should have been J. Wahl for Halloween this year. Yeah, it would have been somewhat pathetic and sad, but fairly awesome too. Of course, I had to go to work tonight; so I didn't really have a Halloween anyway. So it doesn't really matter, does it?

Well, the opening credits eventually ran, and afterwards, we learned the title of the episode: "I Saw You Kiss Her." Oooh! Ominous! Looks like we'll be in for a landslide of drama! And yes, I just blew on my slide whistle.

The action moved to a lovely patio set where the grand conclave of Laguna Thinkers and Planners assembled to discuss Fight the Slide 2005 (ironically, that's the same phrase plastic surgeons use when they book Meg Ryan). Anyway, putting the "U.N." in "Laguna" were LC, Alex M., Trey, Stephen, Dieter, Cedric, Taylor, Talan, Morgan, and our old friend... Polster? I vaguely remember this guy from last season, but without a distinctive feature like a giant helmet of red hair (Jake) or a raging addiction to Mystic Tan (Jen), it's hard to really recall much about him. Nevertheless, this group (which did not feature such luminaries as Kristin, Roz, or Jessica) got to work planning out the big fundraiser, and they had a simple goal in mind: "We gotta make it damn good," urged Trey. Well, as long as it's halfway as good as that awesome fashion show last year, I think everyone will be quite happy. Maybe Casey's maid can made quesadillas!

Meanwhile, over at Kristin's house, she and her usual cohorts of Jessica and a dumpy Roz sat around looking bored. Jessica asked the gals if they would model at the fundraiser with her, and Roz immediately jumped at the chance, saying, "I'll model. It's for a good cause." You just know inside she was bubbling over with "YES! YES! YES! I GET TO BE A MODEL!! YES!!!" Well, the good thing about these girls modeling was that-- oh wait, somehow the conversation shifted to Jessica and whether or not she still liked Jason. "I don't still like him!" she protested. Seriously people. When are you going to understand that? Jessica then added, "Yeah, I might think about him all the time, and yeah, I still call him three times a day, but it's really only a symbolic gesture to honor the memory of me having liked him. I don't actually like him. Oh wait, let me check my voicemail to see if he called me."

Okay, Jessica didn't say that, but she did sigh and complain that she was in a predicament.

"Don't say that -- 'such a predicament,'" Kristin chided.

"Do you not know big words?" retorted Jessica.

Are you kidding? Are you kidding?" responded an incredulous and offended Kristin, adding, "Seriously, is that what predicament means? The act of kidding?" Ah, again, I jest. Kristin knew what "predicament" meant (I hope). We then moved to the site of the big fundraiser where LC was overseeing the dress rehearsal. Unfortunately for Jessica, she was about to learn a vicious truth about productions: a dress rehearsal actually requires performers to dress up. Yes, Jessica could not believe that she'd have to put on outfits for the dress rehearsal, and while she managed to make a small drama out of virtually nothing, we then cut to Talan who was more than excited about the various outfits he'd get to model. Perhaps more awesome for him was the possibility of doing two whole songs with his band at the benefit. And this, of course, made me super psyched. After all, this would be a sneak peak at the future singer of the male response to "Hollaback Girl." Might this performance tonight clue us in to what magical touches he'll bring to his boy anthem??

Well, the dress rehearsal went off without a hitch, and even our favorite beauty queen Casey-dilla showed up to prance down the catwalk. Surprisingly enough, she actually had the most rigid, robotic sashays of all. I say in the spirit of Viacom synergy, MTV should send Casey over to Tyra on UPN for a Top Model crossover. Best ANTM season EVER.

After the big rehearsal, Kristin drove her cronies home in her brand new SUV and revealed a new love for the mysterious Polster. As usual, Roz had an insightful look at the evolution of his appearance: "I don't know. Some boys, like when they get like older looking, they either get like hot, or they get ugly looking." Yeah, um, that's pretty much the only two ways it can go.

Well, all this Polster talk got Kristin into thinking: who would she rather hook up with? Polster or Trey? Answer: Polster. Now it's your turn, Jessica. Jason or Jeff? Hmmm... I wonder who she'll choose. If you answered "Jason," you are correct. And if you answered "Jeff," you clearly have never seen Laguna Beach before and are reading this recap out of sheer boredom in your office cubicle. And to you, I say "Welcome."

We cut to commercial, and I have to be honest. Had I not seen all the promos for this week's episode, I would have thought we had a dull show on our hands. Ah, but then again, you can never overlook that Laguna magic -- that certain je ne sais quoi that makes these teens do stupid, scandalous things. Oh, and this just in. "Laguna magic" has been renamed, "Hormones." Anyway, after the break, we caught up with Roz, Jessica, and Kristin on the day of the benefit. As the girls applied makeup, Kristin asked, "Should we call Lauren or something?" To which Roz asked, "Lauren who?" Ouch, Roz. As a sidekick, you should have a working knowledge of all 'Guna Masters, even if they're not yours and no longer in high school. And in case you're wondering, Kristin was referring to LC.

Moments later, as the girls bashed LC's weird relationship with Jason, Roz noted, "She's not the smartest cookie when it comes to guys." Huh. I didn't realize cookies had the capacity for intelligence. (For the record, Roz, the expression is "tough cookie.") Poor Roz. I don't know what's gotten into her. First she forgets who LC is. Then she futzes up the expression "tough cookie." By the time we reach the season finale, she'll barely be able to say words longer than two syllables. And speaking of mental decay, Jessica nearly had a seizure on the nearby bed as she anticipated Talan's big performance. "I'm so excited to see TALAN!!!" she squealed, setting off a round of spastic "OMG!!!" and "I KNOW!!!" comments. Luckily, Roz kept it real and said, "I'm scared it's gonna be bad, and I'm just gonna like laugh." Why you scared? I'd be hopeful! The musical lineup then became even more intriguing as we learned Alex M. would be singing with Talan's band too. Oh wow. Screw the fundraiser. Let's just have a Laguna talent show.

Well, everyone. The moment we've all been waiting for: showtime! We cut to the crowded benefit where MC Dieter took the stage to kick off the night. And what a commanding presence he is. Meanwhile, backstage Alex and Talan huddled together and tried to work out their nerves. In the audience, however, was Jason who pulled Jessica over to sit on his lap. Uh oh. I smell trouble. Things didn't get any better when eagle-eyed Heidi informed LC of this new seating arrangement. "Look, Jessica is on Jason's lap," she reported. We then cut to LC sharpening her claws on a nearby scratching post.

Up on stage, Talan ambled out and introduced his first song -- nay, masterpiece -- entitled, "Some Are Dead In Hollywood." A few unstable and atonal notes later, I instantly became furious. How, please tell me, could VH1 so fecklessly pass over Talan for "But Can They Sing?" This is a travesty.


Feel the music, Talan. Feel the music...
As Talan crooned (READ: warbled) his way through this stirring piece of cacophony, Jason, meanwhile, screamed a delighted "YEAHH!!!!" in the front row. He then turned to Jeff and literally screamed, "JEFF! JEFFF!!! YEAHHHH!!!!" Wow, Jason LOVES this song. But why was he acting like he's waited ten years to hear it? Oh that's right. Because he's an IDIOT.

After Talan finished this legendary performance of "Some Are Dead in Hollywood" (I think that's referring to eardrums), Jason then arose and walked over to LC, but not before telling Heidi, "Shut up!" It was only a jokey remark, but for some reason, felt oddly fulfilling. Unfortunately for Jason, even though he wanted to cuddle, LC was a little annoyed. You see, she wasn't a big fan of girls sitting on his lap. "She just sat down," lied Jason, conveniently forgetting how he pulled Jessica over. Watch out LC. He's a cold-hearted snake. Look into his eyes. Uh oh. He's been telling lies. Not satisfied with his answers, LC then brought Jason down to the garage where they continued their talk. "As gross as it sounds, I'm obsessed with you," Jason told LC. Oh c'mon. We all know those bloody carcasses you give LC are just re-gifted from Jessica.

Meanwhile, upstairs, Alex M. took the stage, and while she managed to hit about 80% more notes than Talan, she still was nothing to write home to mom about. But at least she was better of aspiring Broadway sensation Christina, whose big audition for Rent last season remains a hallmark of atonal triumph. Anyway, Alex pretty much tooted her way through her song -- the lyrics of which seemed mostly to consist of "Hello, hello, hello," and for a moment, I was transported back to my own high school variety show where we suffered through crappy student band after crappy student band, pausing occasionally to hear some girl's off-pitch take on Les Miserables or The Indigo Girls.

Once Alex put us out of our misery, it was time to commence the fashion show part of the benefit, also known as "the part of the show when things got goooood." As the girls all hustled to put their makeup on, LC could barely contain her disgust with Jessica as she snipped, "Right now, you're a very rude girl. You're sitting on everyone's laps, and you're dancing around. You need to get your makeup."

"Whose lap was I sitting on?" dumb Jessica asked (although, to be fair, Jason was the one who had pulled her onto his lap).

"Well, you should know that. I can't even talk to her. She's like a two-year-old," LC huffed, walking away. Amazingly, Jessica was virtually silent and unmoved by this display, thus revealing her unfortunate capability to serve as punching bag (and hence, she has low self-esteem which drives her constant need for attention. Psych 101, people). Meanwhile, tantastic Jen found LC and told her she was being a bitch. LC simply laughed it off, but she wasn't laughing long. Jessica approached Jason about something -- who knows what -- and the next thing we knew, the two were full-on kissing. To be fair, it looked like he just went in for a friendly peck, but then she roped him in for a long smooch. I think. Then again, he did have his hand on her cheek and... oh who cares. Either way, it wasn't anything Jason would have wanted LC to see, which was unfortunate because, well, LC saw it. Dunh dunh dunh!! LC clasped her hands over her mouth and then stumbled back into the main dressing area, eventually lowering her traumatized self into a chair. MUST. SIT. DOWN!


After the commercial break, we returned to find LC a woman scorned. She was pissed, and understandably. Maybe next time she shouldn't fool around with a douchebag like J. Wahl. Meanwhile, upstairs, the fashion show was in full force, and look who was having the best time ever! That's right: Roz. You would have thought she was accepting an Oscar at Spring Break with the way she soaked up the scene.


Next stop: Milan!
Downstairs, though, things weren't quite as jovial. When Jessica asked, "What do I do about my shoes?", LC seethed back, "Get your own shoes, Jessica!" Meeeeow!

Aaaand upstairs, Cedric undulated around in his famous pink bikini briefs. So that's where the photo came from. Another mystery solved!

Well, the big show finished up, but the drama was just getting started. When Jason tried to approach LC, she lashed out at him, snapping, "Get the hell away from me!" When he tried to find out the whole hoopla was about, LC said, "I don't like it when people make me look dumb." Which is why she's spent two years of her life on a reality show...

LC then told trusty sidekick Jen to keep Jason away from her. "I will keep him ten feet away from you," Jen promised. Yes, she'll set up her powerful Mystic Tan forcefield. Not even the strongest SCUD missile could penetrate its surface. Okay, maybe it wasn't that strong because about two seconds later, Jason grabbed LC and asked her what the hell was up. She told him what she had seen, and again assaulted him with the rage of many a Sally Field movies. It was actually pretty awesome. After all, it was about time one of these girls actually called out his shit.

Well, LC again told Jason to get away from her, and she escaped into a little section of the changing area as Dieter pulled closed a curtain behind her. Oooh. He's not only an emcee, but also a bouncer! Nobody gets by Dieter's curtain! Nobody! (Except Stephen.) In the privacy of their little area, Dieter and LC then hugged, and as she began to cry, he offered the healthiest advice of all: repression. "Just hold it. Just hold it," Dieter said repeatedly. And we'll add "Dr. Phil" onto the list of roles he was playing that evening.

After LC regained her composure, Dieter then approached Jason to find out what was really going on. And you know what that means: flagrant use of the word, "Bro."

"Hey, bro. You're my bro, right?" asked Dieter. Yeah, bro. Do your thing, bro. Anyway, Dieter asked if Jason kissed Jessica, and he replied, "Dude, no. She forced herself on me. What else could I have done?" Amusingly, the producers then cut to a crestfallen Cedric. Poor Ced. He just wants his man all to himself. But 'tis a forbidden love that dare not be named. Nevertheless, with Jason's confession on the record, Dieter was gonna get to the bottom of this scandal. Because otherwise, if he finds out that Jason was screwing over LC, they won't be CHILL. Yeah, that's right. Jason might lose the friendship of Dieter.

Well, Dieter called up Jessica, put her on speaker, and then asked her about the big kiss. "I didn't kiss Jason," she said. Oh no she di'int!! This was gonna get rough, and I'm not just saying that because the Backstreet Boys were now playing on the soundtrack. Dieter told Jessica that Jason had already come clean about the kiss, but she had already dug herself in a hole and was not coming out anytime soon. "Um... no bullshit. When would Jason and I have kissed ever?" Jessica asked. Well, there was that time when you two were dating. And then that time when Jason and Alex were dating. And then that time five minutes ago when Jason and LC were dating.

It didn't matter. Judge Dieter had made up his mind. "You are so full of shit!" he sneered, hanging up on her. So don't worry, everyone. Dieter and Jason are still chill. I repeat: Dieter and Jason are still chill. By the way, what's up with Dieter acting like a non-sidekick this episode? Where was Stephen?

For about one second, Jason had a look of relief on his face now that Dieter seemed to believe him, but oh yeah, there was that pesky eye witness account by LC. No matter what Dieter deduced, LC was still certain that the kiss was all Jason's doing, and as the episode came to an end, Jason sat in the dark, looking sad for the first time ever. Worst fashion show EVER! Now, I don't know if it was good storytelling, Jason's newfound remorse, or simply the stupid Backstreet Boys song in the background, but this ending wound up entirely way more emotionally resonant than it ever had any right to be. Damn you, MTV! Why must you manipulate me so?

So...has Cedric actually formally come out of the closet? He gets more gay by the week and I love it :D

Was anyone else totally bored by yesterday's episode? I just watched it at home during lunch...very disappointing for the second to last episode of the season.

From what I've heard, they are casting a new season of LB'ers right now. We may see some of the group from this year again, like Cami...who was Jason's prom date and maybe Jessica too, since she's still living in LB and going to Community College.

Like this season, they will probably feature some of the more colorful characters too, like Stephen, Kristen, LC, Jason, Alex M...etc. from time to time.

Finale - I also thought it was a lame fest. Why all the bawling? They all know that even if they arent going to school together, they will see each other whenever they go back to mommy and daddy's house anyway. :rolleyes: I think it's because they were under each other's butts for so long, they fear having to start new Cliques where ever they go.

ahh hey guys! i just wanted to let you know that things are really picking up for me so i might not be able to write on here or on my new myspace very often. but my friends gary and anne (gary has been on the show a few times so you guys might know who he is!) will be adding friends and may add some posts about what i'm up to and you guys can talk to them and i'll try to read your comments too!

ok in my last entry people commented on some rumors. so here.. i'll clear some that i saw up

-as far as i know the whole talan and kim thing wasnt a publicity stunt. it's not like talan to make a relationship public just to get attention. he's not an attention whore or anything. so whatever. the rumors about that are complete bullshit.
-alex h and i aren't enemies. the whole thing about her not driving me to an audition and me getting pissed off about that and saying we can't be friends is so not true. we were living together but alex moved in with alex m to live closer to the school so yea we still talk and we are still very good friends
-whatever dieter said about a good chick friend of his or something being seperated and losing touch with him and other laguna friends is not me. it is lauren - lc. she doesn't really talk to anyone else besides her friend heidi who is in LA with her and jason who she is still dating. she chose to seperate herself from most of the people from laguna. why? i have no idea. she and stephen do talk though but not as much as they did before.
-lauren and i have no beef with each other anymore. as you saw at the awards, we got along just fine and all. she's a nice girl and everything is cleared up. i did eventually talk to her about everything because as you saw i didn't do that before. but everything's out and it's just a high school thing. she's not a best friend and she's not an enemy. we're friends, all in all. she's a very sweet girl.
-brody and i are great. i heard something about the whole thing with us was a publicity stunt. and um thats so not true. if i wanted publicity i'd date someone like adam brody or something.
-stephen and i are not dating!!! we're just friends! i'll always love him but that was a high school love and i'm beyond high school now just like i know some of you probably are and you can understand that. we never went to hawaii. and again, i'm not dating brody for publicity.
-jason is not an abusive guy. well physically anyways. he never beat ANY girl he has ever dated. trust me, if he did i would know and i would have no problem telling you guys. but overall jason is a nice guy even though he's such a dog but whatever.

I was curious and bored, so I went to Laguna Beach's website and its message boards to see when the new season is going to start. One person said that Season 3 will begin July 25th. I was hoping it would come on sooner.

Anyone know when The Hills (LC's show) will begin airing? I saw her on TV and she will be in Seventeen magazine soon, so maybe it's because she's promoting her new show.

They did admit that the scenes were staged, though, and they'd only film on the weekends. MTV would tell them "Talk about so and so", and then they'd have a conversation about that. Does that make sense? Everything that went on was supposedly real, but it looked awkward because they were told to talk about it or to re-enact it (if it occurred earlier in the week).
