Has anyone tried 123 Fit?

I'm thinking of joining a gym, and I think it's between 123 Fit and the YMCA, mostly because of the no-contract thing (and the cost). Has anyone tried them? Likes? Dislikes? Right now, I think the Y is leading because I like that I'd have access to their pool, but I did want to hear opinions on 123 Fit as well.

Just make sure the Y that you're joining is in good financial shape. Earlier this year the two in our area closed up, literally, over night. Members were locked out and had to wait weeks just to get there stuff out of their lockers. I think some really struggle, and then some don't. Both of the Y's (in neighboring cities that closed) had older pools and blamed the upkeep and the gas to keep them heated as the main culprits.

Holy crap, Jenny!! That's crazy! Thanks for the heads up. I wonder how I'd find that out? I'm actually getting ready to go look at our athletic club, which I just found out is only $6/month more than the Y and it's MUCH, MUCH nicer. The only bad thing about the athletic club is that darned contract you have to sign. But, maybe it'll force me to stick with it! :)
