What are options for traveling from London to Amsterdam? I'm looking for a comfortable, inexpensive option in July.
Thanks.

Train. Take the eurostar (http://www.eurostar.com/UK/x_usd/leisure/travel_information/before_you_go/route_maps_2.jsp). You can connect through Brussels to Amsterdam.
Alternatively fly... you can find a cheap airline on skyscanner.net. But I think the train will be faster if you can find the right connection.

Ooh, I didn't even think about the train!
I am probably going to be in London for work in the fall and want to extend the trip a few days for vacation, and Amsterdam is on the short list. I knew it was easy and cheap to fly from London to Amsterdam, but the train didn't occur to me.

I flew from London's Luton airport to Amsterdam for around $50 ( one way) back in 2001. We were staying around Victoria Station and took a bus that does a Luton - Victoria Station route. I think we flew on an airline called EasyJet, but I am not sure of the name.

EasyJet does have a lot of really cheap options for London-Amsterdam. I was just researching that recently.

I flew from England to Amsterdam this week-end just gone by and it cost 50 pounds each return! It was with Thomsonsfly. If you want to find cheap flights go to www.whichbudget.com ...all the cheapy airlines from there! Good luck! Amsterdam was fun.
