My mouth is watering from reading the "What did you have for dinner last night?" thread. The probelm is, I don't really know how to cook unless I have a recipe. I wouldn't know how to make a meatloaf or roasted chicken or any of the yummy-sounding grilled items. I'm so bored with what I do know how to make that we end up eating out all the time. We need to stop this.

So, tell me what you like to make for dinner on weeknights, and how to make it, if you don't mind. :) I'm okay with vague directions like "a pinch of this" or "a dash of that."

mimieliza, most of the threads here in the cooking forum are posts of many, many different recipes (including the "what did you have for dinner" thread). Your best bet is to one by one go through the different threads and see what grabs ya. Me, I'm famous for seeing a recipe, cutting it and pasting into a word document that I can access later. Then again, I also subscribe to quite a few of the recipe threads here. That said, you might want to first stop by the Signature Recipes (http://www.constantchatter.com/showthread.php?t=3749) thread for some tried and true ideas.

Good luck.

PS - there's also an older thread in here on what cookbooks folks recommend and why. That might also give you some good ideas.
