I used Picaboo (www.picaboo.com) and loved the outcome! I really liked that I could have one photo on the entire page, edge to edge. I also liked that you could pick different colors for backgrounds, including black. It's free to download their program and the most recent book I got I also got a smaller, soft cover book for free. I guess it was some special they have...
Just another suggestion!
I like Shutterfly, but haven't tried others. They let you do the full-page photo thing, edge-to-edge, which I agree can look pretty cool. :) But importantly, for me, the user interface was really easy. Adding captions was a breeze. Decently priced, and IMO good quality.

BTB - Do you think that Shutterfly quality is good for a mother's wedding album? I meant to do it for mother's day gifts, but got so frustrated by MyPublisher & Imagestation's software that I got frustrated and gave up.

I've used SharedInk.com with success. I've also ordered several custom calendars from them.

Myra - Thanks so much for the article link! I only wish I could email the guy and ask him to add Shared Ink, My Publisher, et al to his reviews.

I've used Shutterfly, Imagestation, and MyPublisher and have been happy with all three so far. I design albums for other people, and most of them choose to print their books with MyPublisher. I must say, their Mac plug-in for iPhoto is outstanding and much better than the bookmaker software.
Either way, I always design the pages in Photoshop and then use the full-bleed option for printing.
