WHO ARE WE ???
A group of CC ladies who are Trying To Concieve (TTC) We would love to hear about what you are going through. We understand the trials, tribulations and many doctor appointments that you are facing on this journey into parenthood. No question is too "stupid", asked too often, nor is any "vent" that you may have unnecessary.

This thread may move quickly at times, but don't be afraid to jump in on the last page. You don't have to read through the entire thread before you join us. The first few posts on page one are some introductory info to help everyone out as well as provide many useful links to other sites with in depth information on certain topics. A link to the new thread is always posted at the end of the current thread to help everyone find their way over to the most recent "Seeing What happens" thread. This thread starts at the beginning of each new month.

Hi and welcome all,
I tested last Friday and Sunday and Tuesday, all BFN. I was due to get AF Tuesday and I thought it was coming, but just really mild spotting so far. I haven't tested again because I don't want to see another BFN. So I'm really not letting myself think this is it...but I really don't know...I told DH I will try to hold out until Saturday to test. This could just be a screwy anovulatory cycle, as it's only my second off BCP. So I'm not getting my hopes up.

And in case you can't tell, it's making me cranky! I either want to get on with AF or a BFP, don't mess with my cycle!

So, on that cheerful note...

WELCOME EVERYONE and GOOD LUCK TESTERS!

CD 27 for me, I tested this morning with a cheap dollar test, bfn, AF should be here tomorrow, but I am so far not showing any signs of her, fingers crossed. I probably wont test tomorrow and I can't saturday because we will be camping over night so I will probably test on Sunday if AF hasn't shown by then, I have a couple FRED tests and digital tests but I have been saving those until AF is actually late.

Good luck to all the testers this weekend, I know we have a few.

Sitting in the Atlanta airport...yay for wireless :-) My fight boards in 20 mins or so.

Got off my first flight & I was SO sure AF was here - I could FEEL it - but went I went to the bathroom, nothing!!!!! I swear I'm holding my breath everytime I have to go - LOL!!! It seems like my CM is increasing some - I was totally dry for a couple days...

GOOD LUCK to all us testers!!!

I'm so excited for all the people we have testing in the next few days. Surely we'll get at least a couple BFPs!

As for me, I'm going to try to hold off until next Wednesday, which will be 12DPO I'm confused though, b/c on one chart it shows a clear O date, then I plugged my temps into a different chart, and that one says I didn't O at all. So who knows.... I doubt I will be able to wait until next Wed. to test anyway!

First, just wondering if the threadmistress could change my DH's age to 30! He turns 30 on the 16th:)

I am at CD24 today! Had slight cramping 2-3 days ago for about 2 days, and woke up this morning with nothing. Just waiting to test. DH asked if I could test yesterday, and was sad when I told him I should wait:p

HERE'S TO JUNE AND BRINGING ALOT OF BFP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE:D

Wishing everyone lot's of luck this month and tons of babydust!!

I am having an annoying cycle...I have been doing OPT since saturday and they have been negative. For the last 4 cycles I have O'd on day 20 and had a 35 day cycle...then of course this month the month that we wanted to have success I am still waiting to O?? I don't get it...I totally thought that my cycles had finally gotten on a normal track but I guess not. Now I have no idea when I am going to O. Sooo frustrating.

Good luck to everyone include me.... all my crossables are crossed... I talked to Eric today... just to let him know I still hadn't started... I should of started on Monday... He's so giddy about things now... Total 360 from 2 weeks ago.. so I really hope I am... I'm totally neausated right now...BB's are sore to the touch and so so tired... So we shall see.. I told him I was going to get a test tonight to test tomorrow.. he was like "sweet"... LOL... So Hopefully I will know by this weekend... Today is MIL birthday and were getting together Saturday to celebrate, so it's perfect timing... Good luck to all the testers...

I'm looking forward to seeing lots of BFP's in the next couple of days!!!

10DPO for me and I'm feeling ever so slightly crampy and slight lower back ache. Not alot, but enough that I made sure to bring a tampon with me today. This should be way too early for AF and I never cramp until she shows so who knows?? Other than that, everything else seems status quo so I guess I will just have to wait and see.....

Sorry you are feeling down Squee! Hopefully this will be the last SWH thread you will be in. :)

Phillytiger~I have held my breath many times when walking into the bathroom close to AF. I hope she stays away!

I hope you get a BFP on SAturday, j*east! I know how frustrating can be, you never want Af but at some point you feel like if you aren't pg then youjust want her to come. I hope she doesn't though!

What CD are you on Kiki? I hope you O soon.

Jess, I know what you mean. This is my 12th SWH thread and I never thought it would take me this long either. I hope this is it for both of us.

Hope you just tested too early and you get a BFP on Sunday, Chelsea!

Thanks for the babydust Zhanna. I hope it makes a lot of us testing soon get those covetted BFPs!

I can't really help with the charting differences, Sadie. If I was you, I would probably just go with the one that says you O'ed just because that would make me feel better. :p Good luck on Wednesday!

Your Dh is so funny, Sunshine. Unless it is obvious that I am probably late, my DH never asks about testing. Are you going to test next week or what?

SmittenK~Have you been overly stressed this month or anything? I am just asking becuase sometimes that can delay O...even if you are more stressed about when you are going to O. It's such a catch 22. I hope you O soon and you catch that egg!

E'sprincess~You are killing me! Test already! We could have a BFP on the first day of the thread. That would be a great start! Good luck!

MrsK~I am crossing my fingers for you and hoping that you get that BFP in a couple days.

Thanks for the babdydust Pacificbliss!

I hope that is an underestimate of the BFPs this month, Miaclear! Good luck testing and glad to hear that you aren't feeling sick anymore.

Man there are a lot of people that are testing in the next couple days. When I was doing SO's, it seemed like I was saying good luck and wishing for BFP more than not. I hope we all benefit from Zhanna and Pacificbliss's babydust and have a very special reason to give DH some extra attention on Father's Day! As for me...I did have a couple brownish spots on my underwear yesterday. I dont' know where that is from since I am only at the most 12 DPO. Wow I didn't realize it was that long. I am thinking I am more like 10 DPO though based on symptoms from my body (in addition to the fertility monitor). I will be joining in the test fest on Monday at the earliest. (If I can hold out!);)

I didn't want to overshoot what with the low numbers the last few months ;) However secretly I hope we get a LOT more.

QOTD: I saw my GYN before we TTC and had what I guess you could call a pre conception visit. She is not however a OB. After asking around to different friends I think I've decided on who I'd like to use for my OB. Do you think I need to make an appt with her before we actually get a BFP? I don't really see why but just thought I'd get some other oppinions.

Yay for a new thread! Now lets start it off with some lovely BFP's :D

Squee - Hugs, I hope this is your month.
Phillytiger - Welcome home, I'm really excited for you to test!
J*east - Ack! So hoping this is it for you :)
Kiki61872 - Sorry for the confusing cycle.
Jess - Good luck with the OPK's.
Chelsea524 - Good luck!
Sadie - I'm excited too about all the possible BFP's coming up :)
Sunshine - Yay for CD24! I hope your cramping was implantation...
Smittenk - You may have missed the LH surge on the OPT. Have you been testing two or three times a day?
E'sprincess - I agree with Looty, you're killing me here with not testing:D . And I'm flying to see my mom tonight and won't be able to check this thread until Sunday night!
MrsKinnison - 10DPO...almost testing time;)
MiaClear - I have a good feeling this month for lots of BFP's too! As for your question, I don't think you need to see this new dr. until you get a BFP or need to go in for your next annual.
Looty - Good luck in the Test Fest! Boy it really is a test fest around here isn't it? Crazy how many are about to test, YAY!

Me - I'm going to go crazy being away from this thread until Sunday, so many exciting possibilities on the horizon for all of you! I'm thinking I'm Oing today. We didn't get a whole lot of BDing in though due to DH recovering from Memorial weekend  . Only on Sunday morning and this morning. Hopefully it's enough.

Good luck everyone!!!!

Jen - I was part of that 8 January BFP's. We had a huge test fest and about 6 of us got BFP's in a matter of a week (all due in October), it was so funny: Out of them we have 2 waiting for gender until u/s, 1 boy, 3 girls

Wow this thread has moved! on page three already!
Thanks Lunapoo and Looty, Im really surprised how hard Im finding this TTC, I guess I underestimated how much work it really is. The Bding is really only a small part of the whole process!

A HUGE goodluck to all of the testers!!!! I cant wait to see the BFPs flowing in. I really hope we can beat January and get this thread moving again.

Me~ Well Im CD11 today and I started spotting:mad: I dont understand what is going on. Im supposed to O in a couple of days but Im spotting instead. Anyone have any idea what can cause mid cycle spotting??

looty~It is so funny, he just started acting like this!
I am TRYING to wait until Monday to test, just like you! Would be CD28 for me. Hope I can hold out that long!

E'sprincess~GOOD LUCK! I cant wait to see your post tomorrow!

Lanapoo~I hope it was implantation too! It's gone now whatever it was.......DH is convinced I am pregnant. I hope he is right:p (Like he always says he is:p)

Again, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THIS MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

E'sprincess~I usually don't get on here until later in the morning or earlyafternoon because I am doing stuff around the house. I am going to make sure to get in here and check early tomorrow though so I can find out! I suppose I forgive you for keeping me in suspense...afterall if you can handle it I should be able to.:p

Miaclear~I figured so but the over-achiever/overly optimistic part of me was talking then! :D If you already met with your GYN for your preconception appointment then I wouldn't worry about seeing the OB until you have a +.

Lanapoo~I hope that you caught the egg. It only takes once right?!

Ericka~That is so great (and crazy) that you are all that far along already. I still can't believe it is June. Can't wait to find out what you are having.

Squee~I have no idea what would cause spotting at that point in your cycle. I hope you O soon and you time things right!

Well hopefully we will both have something to celebrate on Monday then, Sunshine! I hope I can hold out till then too. I have always really wanted to surprise DH though so I have alterior motives for waiting until a weekday (give me more time).

Dh's birthday is not tomorrow but the following Friday and it would be a great present to be able to tell him that I am finally pregnant. I am not holding my breath much though because I spotted a tiny, tiny bit yesterday and was crampy earlier. Poo! (where is the half smiling/half pouting smiley?) :p

So I went yesterday and bought 2 test... "First Response" and well..........
THERE'S a SECOND LINE.............
OMG.... BFP............althought it's very faint... there's definately a line... OMG.... Ok so I'm a little freaking out right now.....So on the way to work today, I was talking to my belly... drivers must think I'm crazy... I told my peanut that they need to show up on the dip stick... so Daddy knows it's for sure. Well I brought the test in to work and showed a couple of the girls at work... and they totally agree... I'm Pregnant... and on the first try... omg.....

E'sprincess
06-02-2006, 05:53 AM
Yeah Congrats to you philly... I think were totally on the same cycle. Althought mine is very faint. I have never heard of a false positive... When should I schedule an appt with the dr. to verify? Dh's think it's wrong because it was faint, however i was talkign to my belly this morning tell them they need to show up on the dip stick so Daddy know their in there.. But I totally know already....

CONGRATULATIONS Philly & E'sprinces!! I think yall cured our drought! I'm pulling for the rest of you! You're next, aren't you, Looty? 12 SWH threads, yeah, it's time for you to leave (but only for good reasons! :) )

I don't know what to think about you, Squee, except that maybe it's O spotting. Call you Dr. and just tell them what has happened. I know mid-cycle spotting can be a problem and your dr. needs to know, just in case it's something you need to do something about.

I am at CD 10 or 13. My temp dropped again this am. I have stayed between 96.8 and 97.4. I just think that's so low. If I am not pg this cycle, I may be mentioning that to my GP and see if he will do some thyroid testing.

Congrats to E'sprincess and phillytiger that is so great for both of you!!! Happy and healthy 9 months to you both!

Well, I tested this morning with a FRED and only one line:( AF is due today but I really don't feel like she is coming at all which would really stink if she just surpises me later. I am breaking out like a teenager just like I did with my last pregnancy and my bbs are sore and heavy feeling, I was so sure I would get a BFP. Who knows, this is really my first full cycle without the IUD so maybe its a little wacky. Still not sure what the faint second line was on my cheapy test last week, because it is completely gone from any of the other tests, I guess I am lucky enough to have the first false BFP right? AHH I am in a bad mood this morning, sorry you guys. We are going camping in a few hours, if af hasn't shown by the time we get back I may test again Sunday.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!!

Yay for BFPs!!!!

June has got to be a busier month than last!!!!

DH and I decide not to go all out on TTC. If it happens, it happens. So I stopped temping and we are just using pre-seed. I think I went way overboard last month and got to into it. I think I may be like 5-6 DPO.

I'm still cheering everyone on!!

looty~OMG, your DH's birthday is June 9th? My DH's bday is the Friday after, the 16th! I was thinking I could try and surprise him on his 30th bday, if I am pregnant, but he knows I want to test Mon:p Oh well, an early Father's Day present?????
I hope the cramping and spotting doesnt mean anything andyou still get your BFP:)

phillytiger~CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

E'sprincess~CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW EXCITING!!!!! I hope I can follow in your footsteps, being the first try:)
Were you late already? What day were you on? I am getting anxious now. I will hold out until Monday, I can do it........

Chelsea524~:( I hope you get to test again on Sunday and it is another BFP:) Have fun camping this weekend!!!!!

CD25 for me, getting very anxious to test now with all the excitement of BFP's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If DH had it his way I'd be testing today.....(Well, who am I kidding, I Really want to test, but am afraid of an early BFN:p)
Anyone else testing this weekend?
Just Looty and I on Monday?

I don't know that I will ever get to test because I woke up a few minutes ago and was spotting.

You ladies should know you rank because the first thing when my eyes were barely open was think about how I had to get on here and read about some BFPs! So happy I got to!:D

Hopefully you will get yours on Sunday! Have fun camping.

I'll do shout outs later I have to go do some stuff around the house first. News like this will definitely put you in a good mood for the day!:D :D :D

Well this should be a fun 9 months. I have so many "friends" on here, in the same boat as i am... I made an appt for the 7th to go in and get the blood test, so I will definately have a 100% without a doubt that I'm Pregnant. For right now I have told my family and some friends. Kinda getting different reaction.. some very excited other a little skeptcial due to me losing one a long time ago. But I have the feeling I am... so I'm going with that. :D

Sunshine~My last cycle was 4/24, I usually go 32-35 days, which would make me 5 days late right now. I'm totally crossing all my crossables for some more BFP... I love the support group on here...

Thank you to everyone for the congradulation. I'm over the moon with Joy, just wish everyone elsse would jump on the bandwagon... LOL

FRED maybe is supposed to be FRER- First Response Early Result- and HPT

I hope your spotting doesn't mean AF, Looty! I HATE spotting! Either get on with AF or stay away! Just off the top of my head: me, you, Twylla, Shanna, LDS Angel- we have been here way too long and need to get to move on! Not that I am not pulling for everyone, but it would give me renewed hope if one of us veteran TTCers gets to move on!

Still hoping for some more BFPs in the next few days!

I was just going off of the TTC Abbreviations thread in family planning, on the box it does show FRER but on the list of abbreviations it lists it as FRED so thats what I always type.

Jess~ I hate spotting too. I haven't had it for a couple cycles and right now it is goen but I have gotten light brown spotting for at least a short time for the past couple days. I know what you mean about the veterans. I am so excited for everyone on here to get a + and it puts me in such a good mood to have one (much less two). I think I would feel some relief too if one of us got a BFP...like it might actually happen for me too. I don't know anything about temps but I know my temp is usually lower than the norm of 98.6 (usually in the 97s and that isn't when I first wake up either).

SwaneeK~I hope relaxing gets you pregnant this month! Thanks for cheering everyone one...we are cheering for you. Pretty much you are still just seeing what happens...more so than most of us. ;)

Sunshine~Yeah, Dh's b-day is the 9th. I was thinking of trying to hold out and tell him on his birthday, but if I actually get that BFP I know I won't be able to hold it in that long! I hope I am pregnant but if not I reall hope to start this weekend so hopefully I won't have AF on DH's b-day (for the obvious reason).;)

Shanna~ I know what you mean aboutthe lack of the green eyed monster here. I am the same exact way. I think the only reason tht may be for me is that I have bonded with these ladies over the trials of TTC and I know what they are going through, while irl I usually have no idea the person is trying. Just speculating though.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend and on Monday that Sunshine, Chelsea, and I are able to continue the excitement! :D

Another hearty congrats going out to Philly and E'sprincess! Look like you both have dr appointments on the 7th. Keep us updated and spread the babydust!

Well. I was all ready to test again...but AF came, and how. Ouch. I was a little disappointed, but glad my cycle just ended and let me move on with life. I'm starting charting, so I'll be in that thread too, but I won't be much of anywhere the next two weeks as work is about to get really busy.

Just thought I'd check in with our results. :)

Cross posted from the SAI thread:
Okay, I couldn't wait any longer so I called. The nurse read me the dr's notes and he said that DH's testosterone levels are too low so he wants him to start taking 50mg of Clomid every other day. Then in 3-4 weeks he should get another blood draw to see if it's increasing his testosterone. If it is, he'll continue to take the Clomid for 3-4 months and repeat the SA to see if that worked. So now I need to do research on this to see if my research matches up. ;) Not that I don't trust the dr, it's just better to see proof elsewhere too. He also said his FSH was normal and I was really worried about that because I read that if it's too high, that could mean that he can't produce sperm. So at least we have a plan now and it's not completely hopeless. I just really hope it works. And if it does work, what are the chances of it working well enough that enough sperm will be produce so we don't have to do IUI or IVF? I guess only time will tell. I feel so much better knowing what the possible problem is though. Whew....

Sorry to hear about Af j*east. I have a feeling she will be visiting me sometime over the weekend too. Sorry to hear that work is getting busy. Make sure to check in every once in a while to let us know what is going on and to see if we can break our record this month!:)

Sorry you are so sick already E'princess. It may be pg related and it may not be. I hope you get better either way though!

Thanks for updating us Shanna. I am so happy to hear that it is not the FSH. I hope that his repeat SA in a few weeks is much improved and you are able to get a BFP in a few months without any other assistance. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

CONGRATS!!!! What a great way to start out June! How many more testers this weekend do we have (myself included)? I am CD24 8DPO. Today I had a lot of creamy CM, almost though AF was here a couple times (not a good feeling wearing cream linen pants)

j*east, so sorry to hear AF showed up! Good luck with charting. I have really gotten into it.

Shanna, it must be such a relief to know what the problem is and to have a game plan for fixing it. I'm sorry that you've had so many disappointing months TTC before getting some answers, but hopefully the road to a BFP will be much shorter now!

miaclear, I'll be testing soon too! I'm on CD24, 7DPO. So I am going to hold off until at least Monday, although that could still be too early. So does that make four of us testing Monday--me, sunshine, looty, and Chelsea? Who else? Yowzers, this thread is going to be jumping on Monday--hopefully with loads of good news!

I wandered into a Gymboree today (b/c apparently I am masochistic :o ), and I CANNOT WAIT until I have a reason to go in there and buy stuff.

Thanks for the birthday wishes and happy bday to my fellow geminis! :D

Congrats E'sprincess and phillytiger!

j*east, I totally understand about work. I just got promoted so it's great, but I'm totally busting my butt now and I only have time to post here on the weekends. :(

Looty, I loved you rainbow reply! I might copy that sometime.

Shanna, I'm glad you feel somewhat better. I wish you good news to come in the next several weeks.

Tinkerbelljenny, I hope your DH is doing well.

I still don't know if/when I ovulated. My chart doesn't show O yet, but my EWCM dried up last Friday, the same day I got a +OPK, so I assumed I O'd on Friday or Sat, but my temp hasn't consistently gone up. Anyway, I assumed I O'd on Saturday a week ago, so I went for b/w as instructed yesterday to check my progesterone to see if it's low. She also wanted a thyroid test, so even if I didn't O, at least the test will tell us something about my thyroid. I'll find out Tues or Wed. Maybe that test will tell me when I O'd too. That's all that's going on with me. No pregnancy symptoms, so I'm getting bummed already. I get so depressed when AF comes. I really don't want to see her next week.

Best wishes to everyone for whatever stage you are in. I look forward to hearing from the testers and getting people outta here!

As always, thanks for all of your support! :)

lilhimleyHappy Birthday. Hopefully your results are fine and you dont have any problems. Goodluck for testing next week. Its not over till AF shows!

miaclear Wow next week is going to be a crazy testing week! Fingers are crossed for you!

lootyGood luck for testing!!!

jnshanna I hope that now you have answers a bfp is only around the corner!

Congrats ont he BFPs Phillytiger and E'sprincess

Chelsea Hopefully af stays away and you get your bfp next week

Jess I noted the spotting on my chart and will have a chat with the doc if I dont get preggo this month. Thanks for the help tho, very much appreciated! hopefully its not your thyroid, and i it is hopefully it can be fixed easily.

Me~ well Im hoping that my temp stays up from now on and then I will know that I did O this month. I dontthink I did last month but I sorta freaked out and stopped charting when my temp did rise so Im really not sure what happend. I cant belive I could be in the 2ww already tho, up to O always goes really fast ish then soooo s l o w when I get to the 2ww.
The spotting hasnt been back but I havnt had much CM at all. silly body!

BFN this morning but it's still early at only 10 DPO so I'm trying not to be bummed. With all the other BFPs though it's kinda hard. And I didn't wake up at 6:30 like normal to temp and forgot about it at 8:00 when I POAS so I temped after that so that number is all messed up. It was much easier last month when I didn't test at all. I think I'll do that next month again if that's the case.

Sorry about the - Miaclear. It was probably too early to test if it is only 10DPO. I hope you get a different result in a few days.

Sadie~I do that sometimes too, but the internet is horrible for me when I have free time. I can shop anything from maternity clothes, to nurseries, to baby clothes. A girl can dream, but when she wakes up it might not be pretty!:p

MrsK~Good for you holding out! I can understand the pull back and forth. You want to test, but only if you get your desired result. You sound like me!:)

lilhimley~Glad you got your crosshairs. I am sure when you are charting that is a pretty sight, especially if you timed things right. I hope you get a BFP on the 9th. Glad you liked my rainbow. Try it...it's fun!:p

I hope you figure out what is gong on, Squee. I agree that the 2 weeks before O goes a lot faster than the 2 weeks after. All TTC is waiting though! I hate waiting, so this kind of sucks!:p

Good luck testing next week, SwaneeK. Sounds like there are a couple of you testing then too! I hope the BFP's keep coming in groups!

I am still waiting on AF. I have been spotting pretty heavily the past day or so. I didn't buy a test because of that. As you can tell I am not too hopeful for this month. I am okay with it because even though I would love to be pg, if I get pg in the next couple months it would be much better for the amount of time I can take off to be with baby.

I guess I'll be the first to post today.............(with not so good news)

I tested this morning.
My DH was SO EXCITED! All weekend he couldnt wait for me to test. So this morning I was waiting for the 3 mins to be up and I said "I am so scared to look" So he yelled at me to wait for him.
He got out and we stared at that darn stick for 5 mins, only 1 line.
He hugged me and told me not to worry, it is still early, and if I am not pregnant, we will just keep trying.
I started to cry.
I got in the shower and just cried..........
When I got out he was there to give me another hug, and he says "I dont believe that stick. I still think you are pregnant" (Which really didnt make me feel better, all I could think about was that 1 line) He said "We will just wait a bit longer and go buy some more tests"

I am heartbroken. I just felt, that it was it. KWIM? I have never felt the way I felt these past 2 weeks. Is it still too late for me to still hope?
AF is suposed to arrive tomorrow. It really could have been early.......couldnt it have been?

Anyways.
We also found out a friend passed away this weekend. And we are taking that pretty hard too. So I am just not having a good morning at all.

Good Luck to all the other testers.

Bad news here too..... 14dpo and a digital BFN this morning :( AF is due tomorrow, so I'm feeling like it isn't too early and the BFN is probably true.

Good news is that that was the very last HPT I had stashed, so from now on I *really* won't test until AF is actually late!!!

My fingers are crossed for the rest of you ~ I am still hoping to see some BFP's today!!!

Sadie

No good news here either. Although if I O'd when I think I did, then I am still only 10DPO, so it's really early. But that being said, I just don't feel like I am PG. I'll test again in a few days I guess, if there is no sign of AF.

MrsK and miaclear, sorry about the BFNs.

Sunshine, I am sorry about the BFN and especially sorry for the loss of your friend. :(

Sadie~Thank You. I think that was why I took this negative test especially hard. I was looking for something good to happen to make up for the bad this weekend.
We are finding it very hard to come to grips withthis death. It wasnt accidental, and we just dont understand why he would do this to himself. I guess there are many things in life that we are just not suposed to understand.
Good Luck to you!

Sunshine, Sadie, miaclear and MrsKinnison sorry about all the BFNs, this just was't our weekend, hopefully AF will stay away and we can have another test fest in a few more days.

BFN here as well, I really thought I was pregnant, I still feel like I am. I have been so sick all weekend and the thought of any kind of food just makes me sick. I am 3 days late and I think I O'd early too, so I really thought I would get a BFP. I just wish I would know either way, if I'm not, fine, then let me start with the next cycle.

Sadie

GOOD LUCK to you still Chelsea524!!!

Sunshine...I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. Good luck with this next cycle and keep your chin up.

Sadie...10DPO is still really early so have hope!

MrsK...sorry for the BFN this morning. I hear you on the stashed tests. I bought four this cycle and I'm not sure why. They just sit there and stare me in the face all day saying "TAKE ME, TAKE ME" and I give in and they don't ever have anything good to say.

ME...yep, as posted above I took another test today at 11DPO and got a BFN. I have one more test left and AF is due this Friday. I'm not going to buy more so I have to stratigically wait for the best day to take this last one. With my patience on this cycle I'll be lucky to wait till tomorrow:rolleyes:

Hello Ladies :)

I got back from going to see my mom, dad and grandma this weekend. I wish I could have stayed because Mom is having her lumpectomy today, probably within the hour in fact. But my mom is protective of me and chose to have the surgery the day after I left  Oh well, my friend from childhood and I kept my mom laughing the whole weekend and I think that was good for her and kept her mind off the surgery :)

I'm probably 4DPO today, I had that achy feeling with pains on one side again on CD13 so I'm calling that O day. Not really feeling like we have much of a chance, we BD'd at the right time but I didn't have all that much CM again.

Congratulations E'sprincess and Philly!!!! I'm so excited to see some BFP's in this thread.

Sorry about all the BFNs ladies. I am in the same boat, except I didn't test. I was spotting so I didn't buy one. I am on CD 1 today though. I am a little sad but I am pretty okay with it because as I said before getting pg the next few months would be more ideal for my time off work.

I hope the ladies that are testing next weekend get much better results than we did this weekend. ;)

Hi girls! I hate that all of the excitement is gone. I am sorry AF seems to be on here way, Mia!

I have been doing OPKs this month, and they seem to be getting more negative. At the time I took them, they all seemed neg, but now looking back, there does seem to be one that may be pos, but it was like 3 days ago and I haven't had a temp shift. Anybody have any insight for me? I hate this. I always freak out close to O time because I am so afraid I will miss it. This month I am not for sure when CD 1 was, so I am really nervous.

Sadie
06-06-2006, 06:23 PM
Jess, no words of wisdom on OPKs from me. I took 2 for the first time this cycle. Both were negative--I mean no line at all except the control line--and according to my chart I took them 1 and 2 days before I o'd. However, I do know that it is possible to get a + OPK but not O. Just keep BDing and cover all your bases!

Lanapoo, hope your mom's surgery went well!

miaclear, sorry to hear you think AF is coming. But happy hour sure is a good way to take your mind off it. :D

Tested again today, 11 DPO, BFN. I expect AF to show up by Saturday. I'm having a lunch and shopping day with some friends I haven't seen in a while on Sunday, so maybe I will indulge in some mimosas. I love me some champagne. :)

MIA for a week.. Sorry…

Sunshine ~ I’m so sorry you got a -, however it may be too soon to tell. How great that DH’s is being so supportive… Eric was the same way, when I only saw 1 line, but then I looked harder and there was a very faint second line. So I went to Target’s and got their brand of test… Either a + sign or a – no chance of faint lines… and that’s how I knew. Like your Dh said if not this time then you’ll keep trying Please don’t be heartbroken…

I’m so sorry about your friend… that’s a really hard situation to go thru. My thoughts and prayers are with you…

Mrs Kinnison ~ I’m sorry about BFN… hopefully AF will stay away and you can test again in a few days.

Sunshine, Sadie, Miaclear, Chelsea, MrsKinnison and Looty sorry about all the BFNs,

Sunshine… That’s great that you’re looking at it from a better side… Just count your days, and watch out for CM.. That’s kinda how I knew.

Chelsea524
06-07-2006, 07:16 AM
Swankee Sadie and Miaclear sorry about the temp drops, still holding out hope that it will go back up for both of you.

Jess I don't know what to tell you on the OPKs, I used them this month and every one I used I had at least a faint line, I thought I got a + on CD 9 but if that was the case I should either have a BFP or AF by now and neither are here.

Sorry to those that AF has found, good luck to all the testers and BDers.

Me... AF is now 5 days late and I am about 20 DPO or at least when I think I Oed according to OPKs and CM and still no BFP, I had AF cramping yesterday morning but they are all gone now. Who knows whats going on with my body, I may ask for a blood test if I don't get either by Friday, that will make AF one week late. I am so frustrated right now, if I am not pregnant thats fine I just wish AF would come if I'm not so I can start my next cycle. I really would like to chart next cycle because of this but I think DH would really hate that. Looking back at my previous two pregnancies I didn't get BFPs for so long, with DS#1 I never got a BFP at home, I finally went to the dr for a blood test, with DS #2 I was on I think CD 60 or somewhere around there when I finally got a BFP, so either my levels take a lot longer to rise or I Oed really late both times, usually my cycles have always been 28 days so who knows.

Ok sorry for all that, good luck to everyone!!!

E'sprincess~Thank You So Much! AF actually came the same day I got the -. I had a rough day that day, but now I am thankful that it came earlier so we can start again sooner:p DH is SO GREAT! I almost felt like i let him down b/c he was SO Excited to be pregnant this month. Oh well.....it will happen when it happens:D
And also TY about our friend. We are still waiting to hear on when his ashes are being spread. We will be making a Quick trip to BC, to say our good-byes. Its been very hard on us both.

SwaneeK~I hope AF doesnt show, Good Luck to you Still!

Chelsea524~OMG!!!!! I am SO HOPING that this is it for you!!!!! Maybe you need to get the blood test to get your positive! I'll be thinking of you! GOOD LUCK!!!!

Welcome melandtim

So, today is CD 3:p heehee! Just waiting for AF to leave:p
My Dad is being admitted into the hospital today....I have mixed feelings b/c the last time he went in for this surgery, they gave him morphine, which he is allergic too, and he went all crazy and broke out of the hospital:( He is getting a colostomy b/c of his Crohns, which he has had over 15 years. His surgery is tomorrow, all kind thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure he'll be okay, but I'm still very nervous. I just cant wait to go see him tomorrow to make sure he is okay. (Is this something I should add to my chart? I notice there is a "stress" tab on there....I am definately stressed.)

Hello All!

Miaclear - So sorry about the temp drop :(

Jess - It's so confusing isn't it? I don't have a clue when I O'd or even if I really did. I only took one OPK and it was -. I just kept forgetting to take them so I missed the LH surge hopefully.

Sadie - Thanks for thinking of my mom :) . Sorry about the BFN but I love your idea about the mimosas. Yum! I've got a bottle of bubbly in the fridge just waiting to be cracked open once AF comes.

SwaneeK - I'm sorry your temp dropped :(

Chelsea524 - Wow, if I were you I wouldn't trust all those BFN's given your past history. I probably would be beating on the doctors door to get a blood test :p

Melandtim - Welcome!!

Sunshine - I'll be thinking about your dad. I would think that they wouldn't make the same mistake twice with the morphine. {{{HUGS}}}

__________

Me - Well, my mom ended up having the Mastectomy after all. She was scared and wanted it all gone for sure. My dad was scared too and was happy she made that decision. She'll be getting out of the hospital today and I'm glad that this part of it is over for her at least.

I think I might be 6DPO. Who knows really since I don't temp. No symptoms other than the normal, sore nips, etc. I know not to think that's a pg symptom now given my experience last month. Just waiting for AF at this point, I'm not too hopeful given our lack of BD time this month.

miaclear
06-07-2006, 10:53 AM
Well AF symptoms are gone, temp is still above coverline but the drop was way to big for me to think anything else. Still some extremly light spotting. If I wasn't examining the TP with a magnafying glass (really I'm not...haha) I might not see it.

Sunshine, I too get so heartbroken when AF arrives, no matter how hard I try to prepare myself. I hope you are feeling more chipper soon. I am thinking many positive thoughts for your dad.

Sorry for all those who had AF. I'm still holding out hope for those still waiting especially Chelsea(way more patience than I have).

lanapoo, I wish your mom a complete and swift recovery.

jess, last cycle we waited to BD until we saw the +OPK, but it may have been too late since my EWCM had gone away the day before the +OPK, so now we're just going to BD every other day once EWCM shows up so we don't miss it.

Welcome melandtim! This is a great group. I'm in the charting group too.

For me: I'm 11DPO and I'm fully expecting AF on Friday. I totally have no pregnancy symptoms and I got a BFN today. This was our fourth cycle trying since the M/C, so I'm getting anxious that something is wrong. I get so bummed every time I get AF. I should probably start rewarding myself with something when AF arrives so I have a little positive thing to think about. My doctor's office is supposed to call me today with results of my thyroid and progesterone labs. I'm interested to hear the results.

Good luck everyone.

Jen

Lanapoo~Thank you Very Much!
I will be hoping for a very quick recovery for your mom!! Thinking of her:) How long does it take to heal?
Oh, and you know what? This is usually when one does get pregnant from what I am told:) So a HUGE GOOD LUCK TO YOU:D

lilhimley~Thank you So Much! ANd I am feeling Much better. I took it pretty hard, being my first BFN, I only hope it doesnt get worse the more I get. Hopefully I wont get many or any more:)
I am hoping for you that you do get your BFP this cycle!!!!! GOOD LUCK!

Sunshine - They are going to give my mom about 6 weeks to recover before they start chemo. In about three weeks though my mom will be taking my grandma to Michigan to see her sisters. Gma has Alzheimer's and Parkinson's and wants to see her sisters (maybe for the last time :( ) and Mom is determined to take her.

I hope we both have happy news to give our parents soon. They will HAVE to get better then won't they ;)

ETA: I think that first BFN is crappy. I'm so much more relaxed on my second cycle than I was last month. Almost TOO relaxed though, hardly checked CM, Only BD once around fertile time, only one OPK, etc. Oh well, maybe I'll make more of an effort next month. Hee!

Jess71903

Wow! I thought I had checked in here, but I must have forgotten to! Lots to catch up on. I was thinking about everything I wanted to say as I read thru, but I am sure I won't remember everything.

Sunshine- I am SO sorry to hear about your friend! That must be so hard and confusing to deal with. I will be thinking of you as you travel to say your good-byes. I also hope your dad's surgery goes well. Hopefully they put a big red note in his chart last time about the morphine. Make sure to let us know how things go.

Mia- thinking good thoughts for you. If you are still above cover, there's still hope. On the other hand, My AF still spotts and leaves on and off for a few days. Never did that before BC. I wish someone had told me BC could mess me up! I thought it was awesome when I 1st started it!

Welcome melandtim! This is an awesome group of ladies!

OMG, Chelsea! I was all ready to tell you that maybe your fertility signs were a little off and you O'd later than you think, but since your other kids came with no or really late BFPs, I am excited for you! When will you go get a blood test? I don't think I could wait!!!

lilhimley- you know, some people never get pg symptoms. Let us know about your thyroid results. I am thinking a thyroid test is the next step for me.

lanapoo- I am glad your mom went for the mastectomy. I am sure that will give her greater peace of mind. I hope she recovers quickly and completely.

Twylla, Shanna- yall still checking in? I know yall said you would be scarce this time around, but I think about yall. Either of you care to update?

Whew- finally on to me. I JUST got my 1st ever + OPK!!! So, the BDing continues *sigh*. Not that I don't like to, I just have never been an every-day kinda girl! This is the latest I have ever O'd but what that means is that if AF does come, it will be a little later and maybe not interrupt my vacation in the USVI as bad...bad thing? I am not a drinker, but I had planned on partaking of the free rum punch on our snorkeling trip (I think they have it at our hotel too)! I guess that early, 1 or 2 couldn't hurt anyway. It's time I ended this monster post. Good luck, all!

And thank you so much!!! It will be quite the emotional trip we take, but we really need to say our good-byes. I guess, as many people have told me, there are many things in life we just arent meant to understand:( And this unfortunately, is one of them.
And I'm sure my Dad as well as Gramma and Grampa will be sure to remind the doctors over and over again abouthis allergies with morphine. I hope! It happened at the hospital where he is at now, so you would also think it would be inhis chart.
I will definately update when I hear tomorow!
Thank you very much:D
And YAYYYYYYYYYYY that you got a + from the OPK!!! And I hear ya on the every day BD! I mean, back in the early stages maybe, but 8 years later???? LOL!

The frosty beverages were very enjoyable as well ;) Thanks for your thoughts on my mom, I would have been ok with either decision she made and am very happy the mastectomy brings her more peace of mind.

I should probably start rewarding myself with something when AF arrives so I have a little positive thing to think about.

lilihimley....this is the best thing I've heard all day! I think I'm going to reward myself too! Maybe with something that I won't be able to do once I'm pg. Like a something at that spa that involves a hot bath, or a night out with drinks :D Thanks for cheering me up too!

Jess... +OPK is good news! I've been thinking I was going to try them out this next cycle (if AF ever does show....heaver spotting now so I'm thinking she is on her way for sure). Where do you buy them at? I didn't find any at Walmart or Target so I'm thinking I might have to go to an Eckards or Walgreens?

Sunshine thinking good thoughts for your dads surgery tomorrow!!

Lana I'm glad everything has gone well for your mom, I hope she has a speedy recovery

Miaclear I hope AF stays away for you

lilhimley I hope it was just to early for a BFP and that you will get one in a couple days!!

Jess I know what you mean on BDing everyday, we just can't do that anymore, I told DH if I was pregnant this cycle it would be close to a miracle.

Thanks for all the "good lucks" on a BFP, I am really not sure which way this cycle is going to go, at times I feel like AF could be here any minute and then other times I feel like I must be pregnant. DH says I've either got PMS or pregnant hormones, either one he's not happy about and has been trying to stay away from me the last couple days:p

Welcome Mel! I hoe you don't have to stick around here too long. Do you think you O'ed yet ot not?

Praying for your dad and make sure to update us tomorrow, Sunshine. That is great that you are able to go say goodbye to your friend to get the closure you need. Are we on CD 3 already?!

Sadie did AF show or not? I hope not but if she did I say enjoy the mimosas! Yum!

Lanapoo~Glad to hear that your mom is recovering well. I hope that even though you didn't get to bd much you will get a BFP. It only takes once right?;)

Miaclear~We all know you sneak your magnifying glass in the bathroon with you! I hope your temp stays up and you get a BFP to keep us on target for this month!:p

I think rewarding yourself when AF comes is a great idea lilhimley. I do that sometimes when AF is expecially hard, most of the time it is just something simple like a couple drinks or the such. I hope you dont' get to give yourself that reward for a long time though.

Yay for getting a + OPK, Jess. Aren't they so exciting? I remember jumping up and down practically because of that. :o I am not usually an every day type girl either so I feel your pain. Hopefully in about 2 weeks it will all be worth it though!

MrsK~Sorry about af. I think after I hit the 6 month mark is when I started to get a little worried. I keep telling myself that the average for a healthy couple is a year so I try to hold onto that even though it really doesn't help me feel much better most of the time. (((Hugs)))

I am early in my cycle so I have nothing exciting to say about anything. Although if we don't get pg this month we will be undergoing testing. I am scared about that so I am hoping that I get to set up a blood draw to confirm pregnancy rather than test levels at my dr appointment. ;)

Looty...I wish I had better news.

AF showed slowly but surely today. She is offically here and I'm officially on Cycle 4. I remember when we talked about TTC, in the back of my mind I was thinking 3 or 4 cycles is what it's going to take. I really hope I'm right on that. Good news is that I will be hopefully not getting my period when I'm on vacation back home for the 4th of July. So there is still a chance that I could get to tell my parents in person that they're going to be grandparents. If it doesn't happen this cycle I likely won't see them till Christmas and I doubt I could wait that long to tell them so it would have to be an over the phone thing (assuming I get pg before xmas). Anyhow....

I ordered pre-seed today, I'm going to stock up on green tea and grapefruits this weekend and I'm setting a very strict BD schedule. I'm going to temp again this cycle just to have another one under my belt but if this isn't the cycle I plan on taking a break from temping for a couple months. So I hope you ladies don't mind that I'm sticking around here and there....there's so much wonderful information in both threads.

Mia- Thanks! I got my OPKs at Walmart. They were with the HPTs and KY and stuff. There aren't vary many brands, so maybe you just missed them. I have Answer. I stuck around through temping in all, so I doubt you will get kicked out of here! :). I was like you. I thought it would take 3 or 4 cycles and here I am on cycle 11. Go figure.

Sun- DH and I are going on 3 years, but we ate the top of our cake on the 1st and it was delicious except that some of the icing along the edges was hard and we scraped it off.

Looty- I hope you don't have to have the testing! You have long cycles, right? That would drive me batty! You must have more patience than I do! I all but shouted for joy with the +OPK. It was my last one, so it's a good thing!

Mrs. K- so sorry AF showed! I think you do need to treat yourself. I like that idea. Problem for me is that I would want something good to eat and that doesn't really fit with the weight loss thing I am trying to do!

Hi Looty! Hope you don;t have to go through any testing.

My cycles have always been really screwed up but last month my 3rd of BCP was completely normal so we are trying this month. If I don't O I will go back to my doctor. She had said at my preconception visit that she would put me onto fertility drugs immediately if I wasn't O'ing. Should be in the next 2 days if I do!!

Mia - sorry AF showed up :( Hopefully you can give your parents good news next month!!

Looty, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is your month and you don't have to undergo any testing! AF hasn't shown yet, but I think she will today.

miaclear and MrsK, sorry about AF. :(

Sunshine, I threw the top layer of our cake away at 2 months. It had been in a friend's freezer, and when I brought it home to put it in mine, I just had to taste some of the frosting. It was gross, so I chucked the whole thing. However, it had not been wrapped well--was just in a cardboard box, and had freezer burn and was stale. So I'm sure that's why it was so nasty....

Chelsea524~Thank You!
And LMAO about what your DH said! LOL, men.........:p

MrsKinnison~Thank you very much!
Sorry about AF showing up:(

looty~I will definately give an update about Dad. I am going to visit at lunch. He is in surgery right now....
I am also going to update about our friend, his ashes being spread is postponed for now. It is just so sad.........
And LMAO, Yup, it's CD4 now! LOL!

miaclear~I'm sorry AF showed up:(

Jess71903~Oh GREAT! Thank You! We also saved a bottle of wine from the wedding, so we will eat cake and drink some wine:) I am so excited!!!!

Sadie~ugh, that sucks. Well, if our cake is gross too, we also saved a bottle of wine from the wedding, so we'll just enjoy our anniversary with that:D I wonder how our cake will taste...we Did try and package it well, so I hope its okay!

Well, my Dad is in surgery right now. I am going to see him on my lunch break, so i will update then. I also just wanted to share that our friend, who's ashes were to be spread soon, has been postponed, for we arent sure how long. This makes me even more upset about the whole situation. The reason Why it is being postponed is b/c his wife found out (BEFORE HE TOOK HIS LIFE) that the cancer she had previously and beat, is back. So she is undergoing more Chemo. I am just so confused as to why after he heard this, that he would still go ahead and.......KWIM. sigh.
Anways, still sending TONS of GOOD LUCK to anyone still waiting to test!

Miaclear~I am sorry AF showed. I know what you meanabouthopingt o be able to tell your parents in person. Mine travel all the time for a month or two at a time so I worry about the same thing. I will want to tell my parents and the rest of the family right away but DH wants to wait at least a month to tell them being gone ay help me not tell but I don't know if I'll wait anyway. I've waited long enough to be able to tell people.:p I hope you are able to tell your parents in person.

I used to have longer cycle Jess. For the past 405 5 cycles they have been about 33 days. So not as long as some of the 45+ day cycles I as having. It was really hard to wait all that extra time, especially since they kept getting longer and I would get hopeful that I was pg. Glad you got your +. Even though you probably dont' want to you should probaby bd today to cover yourselves.

I hope you O on your own Mel. Maybe your body is back to normal now after the pill. I hope you don't have to go on fertility drugs. Why would your doctor be willing to put you on drugs so soon (if you don't mind me asking)?

Sadie~I hope AF doesn't show. I hope I don't have to get the testing either. I am scared of it. :o

Sorry that your friends ceremony is being postponed, Sunshine. Is it being postponed becuase the wife wouldn't be able to make it or what? I hope you have great news for us. I am keeping your dad in my thoughts. Oh yeah...as far as the cake I agree with Jess, the outer part of the icing wasn't great but the cake was good. It wasn't as good as the wedding day of course but I think it really depends on how well it is wrapped. Enjoy your cake and wine.

Hi looty! I don't mind you asking at all. I have always been very athletic so my cycles have been really screwed up plus extremely painful. She just didn't want me to have to go through months and months of painful cycles which I really appreciate. I think things are starting to get to normal.

Sunshine - I will keep your Dad in you prayers.

Hello Ladies :)

Sunshine - I'm thinking about your dad today and I'm sure he'll get through this surgery ok. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend and now his wife. What a terrible time for her :( .

We didn't bother keeping the top of our cake. DH's mom made it and we didn't think the frosting could stand the test of time like a professional cake would. We can't wait for our 1st anniversary(and your birthday;) ), we'll be going to see our friend's band play at the Gorge in WA and it will be a total blast!

Chelsea524 - Too funny about your hubby, hope you get an answer soon!

MrsKinnison - Sorry about AF :( . I hope this is your month. Thanks for thinking of my mom.

Looty - I'm really praying that you'll be confirming your pg at the drs instead of having testing :)

Miaclear - I'm sorry AF showed. I hope you'll be giving your parents happy news in July.

Melandtim - I hope you're able to O on your own this month :) .

Me - 7DPO I think, I'm so sure I'm not pg that I'm going out for a couple of drinks with my co-workers tonight after work. I've decided that I'm just not going to deny myself everything during the 2ww like I did last month. I've had caffine every day and I had one beer last night. I don't overdo it but I'm not going stress about a drink or two until I get a BFP.

SwaneeK~Thank you!!!

looty~It's being postponed b/c she was the one who was going to perform the ash ceremony. But now she is undergoing chemo, and I'm not sure if she can leave the province to do that. It is about at least a 10 hour drive from where she lives. He was from BC and had wanted his ashes spread in a Lake there......
Thank you also for keeping my Dad in your thoughts, I really appreciate it.
.....our cake was the bestpart, it definately wasnt the icing:p So that makes me feel better! LOL!
Thank you again! We will DEFINATELY enjoy the wine:D

melandtim~Thank You!

Lanapoo~Thank you so much!
It sounds like a GREAT way to celebrate 1 year!!!!! I'm sure I'll think about you at Least once that day:D

UPDATE ON DAD~First of all, another big thank you to you all for being so kind and keeping my Dad in your thoughts and prayers:D It helped:) When I got in the room I could see that he was okay! He was very tired, and kinda falling in and out of sleep while I was there, but I could tell that he was trying So Hard to stay awake for me. I gave him a big hug, but I wish I didnt b/c it hurt him:( But the kiss didnt!
He is sore, and that is it, and that is to be expected. The nurse said he did very well, she even held his hand to the surgery room. He was pretty scared b/c he was alone.....I wish I could have walked withhim, but he knew why I couldnt.
He was very thirsty, but I guess he couldnt have water or ice chips b/c of the aenestia (K, have NO IDEA how to spell that)
So yah, he should have a good recovery, and I Think they said he should be out on Monday! So I am also relieved about that. He shares a birthday with my husband, and that is next Friday. I was hoping he would be out for his bday, even if he cant Really celebrate.
Anyways.........again, a HUGE Thank you to you all!!!!!!!!!

Mel~I see! I am glad I didn't cross a line there. That is great that your dr is willing to help you avoid painful cycles. I used to have it pretty bad in h.s. too but since being on the pill and coming off thankfully they haven't returned.

Lana~I don't blame you for not giving everything up. I used to during the 2ww at the beginning of TTC, but for quite a few months I have done everything I want and had anything I want. Until I have a + pg test I am not going to keep myself from things that I enjoy, especially since thus far it would ahve been for nothing. ;) I hope you had fun!

Sunshine~I figured it was because of treatment but I guess I didn't realize that it was such a trip for her. I thought it may have been for you because that is where they were from. Sorry I misunderstood. I am glad that your dad is doing well and should be released soon. I'll still keep him in my thoughts for a quick recovery.

Hi everyone! I'm on CD9, nothing to report, just visiting. I'm charting so I'm in that thread too.

Just a few replies...

Sunshine, I'm glad your dad is doing okay after surgery, and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Lanapoo, I hear you. It's too tough to keep thinking, "What if I'm PG?" all the time when I'm not.

Cake--I lost track of who asked about this. We had cupcakes at our wedding and a little cake for us to cut. We finished the little cake after the wedding, but froze cupcakes (we had tons) and ate them for months, the last ones for our anniversary. They were still good. I think it helped that they were cupcakes and thus already kind of wrapped up.

Hope everyone is doing okay this month! :)

Chelsea524

Just a quick update, I will come back to do shout outs later.

I am now 1 week late, took a digital test today and "not pregnant" I have decided I don't like the digital tests, that is just so harsh, couldn't it say "not yet" or something to keep you hopeful until af shows? It just made me sad. I don't think I O'ed when I got the + OPK, maybe I O'ed late or haven't yet, if I O'ed late then this cycle is hopeless, we really have not BD much at all the last few weeks, I'm going to make sure we do the rest of this cycle though until AF arrives just to cover our bases. I know with my previous two pregnancies I got a BFP really late but that could be that I just O'ed really late those two times. This is my first cycle off of my IUD so maybe it came be just as mixed up as bcp's.

Sorry for the rambling, I will be back later to do shout outs, I have an install coming right now to get new phone service so I've got to go.

06-09-2006, 09:18 AM
Jess~Sorry that you still haven't had the temp signs for O yet. I hope that if doesn't come for a couple days so you can have a break but be back to bd'ing for O.

Chelsea~Sorry there is still no AF and about the "not pregnant." You made me LOL at your not yet instead. That would be great, maybe you should write them to suggest that. :D It may just be that this is your first off the IUD. I hope you catch the egg when it comes.

j*east~Thank You! And it was me who asked abot the cake:D Thank you:D

Jess71903~I'm sorry you are frustrated.....what day are you on now?

Chelsea524~heehee, I agree about them maybe changing the not pregnant to not yet! heehee! WOuld be better on us emotionall I think:)
I am still hoping you O'd late and that your BFP will still be coming:D

Chelsea524
06-09-2006, 10:09 AM
melandtim thats great that your dr wouldn't make you wait if you have any problems at first, I hope you are able to O on your own though!

MrsKinnison Sorry about AF, hoping this is your month!!

Lanapoo I think you should be fine with having a few drinks during the 2ww, I've finally decided I can take my allergy meds because I am dying without them

Sunshine I am so glad your dad is doing well!! that is great!

Jess If you guys are needing a night off then I say take it, even if you do get the temp rise, sperm can last a few days so you should be covered anyways

looty thanks, I just hate the "not pregnant" thing, what if someone was pregnant and it was just to early KWIM, I will have to write them, heck maybe they would send me a free test to shut me up:p

I think I am going to talk to DH tonight about maybe starting temping, it would have made this cycle so much easier to have known if I have even O'ed yet, maybe I will explain that it would save money on hpts, although then I might have to admit how many I have actually taken, he thinks I've only taken 2-3, in fact I have taken I think 15-16:o I don't know if I want to admit that to him though.

Sunshine
06-09-2006, 10:28 AM
Chelsea524~heehee, I told DH I only bought 1 test when I bought 2.....I tested w/o telling him too:p
I can see how addicted this gets tho, I SO HAD THE URGE to go buy a few more boxes!
Just tell him you tested less than what you actually did....you can be honest w.o being fully honest;)

miaclear
06-09-2006, 10:36 AM

Jess71903~I'm sorry you are frustrated.....what day are you on now?
B]Sunshine[/B]- Today (Friday) is CD 17. I was with some friends tonight and one is very perceptive. She noticed that I was messing with my lip and asked what was wrong. I have a small fever blister and told her that. She asked why I had it, was I stressed or something. I hadn't thought about it before then, but maybe I am about this whole TTC thing and that's why I am late to O.

Hi All,

I've was at a conference Thurs and Fri, so I'm way behind, but wanted to say:

Sunshine, I wish your dad a speedy full recovery.

Jess, geez I hope you O soon!

Everyone else, good luck in whatever stage you are in.

My drama, cross posted in the charting and luteal phase defect threads:

Hi Ladies. I'm scared. My NP told me that my progesterone was low so next cycle we were going to start me on progesterone after ovulation. She also told me to call her if I got a BFP this cycle so we could start me on it right away. Well, I didn't have any symptoms and my cheap internet tests gave me BFNs so I didn't think I was, but today is 14DPO which is a long luteal phase for me, so I questioned the cheap tests and did an EPT one and it's a BFP! The Dr. is calling in a prescription for suppositories for me, but I'm afraid it's too late. Do you have any information that tells when it's too late to start progesterone? I'm excited about the BFP but scared to death of another miscarriage. If you can, please advise me or direct me to some info. Thank you.

I'm so paranoid that this will not be a viable pregnancy because I'm starting the progesterone 14 DPO instead of 2 DPO, especially since I don't really have any symptoms except tender breasts. I can't get excited about it because I'm so worried. I guess I'll call the NP on Monday to ask what to do next. I'm leaving now for the pharmacy to pick up my progesterone. Please think good thoughts for me and I would totally appreciate an info you can give me. As always, thanks for the great support.

Threadmistress, I guess you can count me as a 'cautious BFP', but I'd like to stay here until I at least get some kind of positive feedback from the NP or Dr. Maybe that is at a 5 or 6 week ultrasound? I'll know more on Monday.

Jess71903
06-10-2006, 09:57 AM
A cautious congrats to you, lilhimley! I would say that if you are getting a BFP that it has been viable until now and it will be fine. The progesterone will just help from now on, I would think. I don't know that much about it, though. Be sure to keep us updated! I will be thinking about you!

Congrats Lilhimley! Didn't Zhannushka have a similar situation in the beginning of her PGcy? I believe she had to take progesterone, but I could be wrong. I think she's now in the Dec 2006 or Jan 2007 mommies thread. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I'm thinking good thoughts...best of luck to you! :)

Sadie

lilhimley, congrats! Sending sticky vibes your way! I can't offer any personal experience or knowledge about the progesterone, but I would THINK everything would be fine since 14 DPO is still very early.

As for me, CD32, no AF and no BFP. I'm confused b/c I thought I O'd on CD17, then I had a major temp drop a few days ago, so I thought for sure AF was on the way. However, my temp went back up and no AF. So I think I may have O'd about 5 days later than I thought. Who knows what is going on. My longest cycle has been 37 days, so I shouldn't have to wait much longer to find out one way or the other.

Sticky vibes for you lilhimley. I just did some poking around on the web and it seems that if you have a luteal phase defect you might not have anough progesterone to build up enough lining for implantation to occur. You could also have a situation where you produce too little progesterone or too much estrogen to maintain the pregnancy. Since you got a BFP I would say you had enough for implantation and in my (non-professional) opinion you are not starting too late. Try not to panic. Again...many sticky vibes.

Congratulations, lilhimley! Sticky vibes to you!

My first progesterone test showed a low level of 8.6, but I didn't go on progesterone supplements (prometrium, taken orally) until about a week later, which was about 16DPO. Last time they checked, my progesterone was at 21, which the doctor was pretty happy with. I am now 9 weeks and 4 days and things are going well so far.

Being that you are so early still, I think that you should be fine. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Sunshine, glad to hear your dad is recovering so quickly.

CD1 for me. I'm a little bummed to be on our 4th cycle of TTC. I know that's really not that long, but it kind of sucks not to know whether we just haven't had perfect timing or if there is actually a problem. I guess we'll need to BD double-time this month. :)

Glad your dad is doing so well Sunshine!! Good luck BDing, that timing should be great!
melandtim sorry no O yet, just keep your bases covered and hopefully you will get it soon!

Not much new here, I think I am on CD 37, still no BFP, tested again yesterday and I am now out of tests, so no more testing for me until I actually have some sort of symptom, I will probably call the dr on CD40 and see what he wants me to do.
I posted in the ChitChat form about this, my 6yr old ds shot himself in the leg yesterday while with his dad, my ex. Nothing to bad but man am I upset, stress level is very high for me right now and if I haven't O'ed yet I'm sure that will postpone any O anytime s
