Kid Rock blasts Stapp over sex tape: Says ex-Creed singer responsible for losing tape

NEW YORK (AP) -- Kid Rock blames Scott Stapp for losing a sex video showing them with several strippers, but appreciates Stapp for one thing.

"What perfect timing," Rock told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday. "I got a record coming up ... Maybe I should thank him."

The hard-partying rap-rocker, whose new live concert album "Live Trucker" hit stores Tuesday, defended his backstage antics, saying, "It's not any big revelation that this goes on in rock 'n' roll, especially with who I am."

Still, Rock (aka Robert Ritchie) has fired back against Stapp's claim that the tape was stolen, saying the former Creed singer filmed the tape, which was made in Rock's motor home in 1999, and is responsible for losing it.

"He's the idiot because it's out," the 35-year-old Rock said. "I'm holding him responsible."

Rock has won a temporary court order preventing World Wide Red Light District from distributing or promoting the video.

Red Light, which sold the Paris Hilton sex tape in 2004, had displayed a 40-second preview clip of the video on its Web site. The company has acknowledged that the tape came from a third party, but denied it was stolen.

"At this point, I don't even care," said Rock, who said he hasn't spoken to Stapp since the tape was filmed.

He's upset, though, that someone might make money from the tape. "If there's money to be made, it's my performance" he said.

In a recent interview with AP Radio, Stapp, 32, said he thinks the sex video was stolen from him and is meant to destroy his career.

Rock scoffed at that notion: "I'm like, what are you talking about? This tape gets out -- it's your tape -- and you're (saying) someone's trying to sabotage your career?"

Rock said he invited Stapp to join him and four strippers after Stapp entered his motor home with a video camera and asked to "get in" on the action.

"'I only got two beers left,"' Rock said, describing what he deemed to be his gracious behavior toward Stapp, whom he had never met. "'You can have one.' How nice is that?"

He said he's further upset to be associated with sex tape scandal subjects Hilton, Colin Farrell and ex-girlfriend Pamela Anderson.

"I don't want to be in that company with all these idiots (who have) sex tapes, which is why I've never had a video camera," he said. "I agree I knew the tape was going on at the time -- I must have. Although, I'll guarantee you, I wasn't sober."

Rajeevnath explained: "Although there are a number of actresses willing to play the role of Mother Teresa, the history of the actress who is finally chosen for the role would have to be analysed thoroughly."

One of my coworkers, as a joke, has a page from a magazine interview with Paris Hilton hanging up in her office. It's a picture of Paris with this glazed look in her eyes, and a quote saying something like "Most people think I'm dumb, but I'm smarter than most people." She just has SUCH a warped perception of herself! Had she any idea what Mensa is, she'd probably consider herself Mensa material!

American men's magazine Playboy has fired back at Jessica Alba's claims they implied she had posed naked by placing her on their front cover, insisting many A-list stars have graced the page without appearing nude in the publication. The Sin City beauty's lawyers sent Playboy a threatening letter last Month after the mag published an promotional image of a bikini-clad Alba from her 2005 movie Into The Blue on the front of its March issue. Alba claims the choice of front cover insinuates she appears nude or semi-nude in the magazine. She said, "Playboy has violated my personal rights and blatantly misled the public, who might think I had given them permission to put me on their cover when I didn't." Christopher Reeve's Widow Dies at Age 44

Dana Reeve, who won worldwide admiration for her devotion to her "Superman" husband, Christopher Reeve, through his decade of near-total paralysis, has died of lung cancer at the age of 44.

Reeve, a singer-actress who gave up some of her own career to be one of the nation's best-known caregivers, died late Monday at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Medical Center, said Kathy Lewis, president of the Christopher Reeve Foundation.

Reeve had succeeded her husband as chair of the foundation, which funded research into spinal-cord paralysis cures. She announced in August that, while she wasn't a smoker, she had been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Lewis visited Reeve in the hospital Friday and said Reeve was "tired but with her typical sense of humor and smile, always trying to make other people feel good, her characteristic personality."

"She was a woman with an incredible heart who really put herself out there to help people with disabilities and especially those who are caregivers — something she knew a lot about," Lewis said.

Four months ago, at a fundraising gala for the foundation, Reeve looked healthy in a long, formal gown and said she was responding well to treatment and her tumor was shrinking.

"I'm beating the odds and defying every statistic the doctors can throw at me," Reeve said then. "My prognosis looks better all the time."

Asked how she kept her spirits up, Reeve said she "had a great model."

"I was married to a man who never gave up," she said.

Christopher Reeve, star of Hollywood's "Superman" movies, became an activist for spinal cord research after a horse-riding accident paralyzed him in 1995. He died Oct. 10, 2004.

Dana Reeve was a constant companion and supporter of her husband during his long ordeal and his work for a cure for spinal cord injuries.

The couple had a 13-year-old son, Will, and Dana Reeve had two grown stepchildren, Matthew and Alexandra.

Reeve, who lived in Pound Ridge, had appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway and regional stages and on the TV shows "Law & Order," "Oz," and "All My Children."

She was on the board of the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts, where she met Christopher Reeve doing summer theater, and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.

A year ago, she won a Mother of the Year award from the American Cancer Society. A society vice president, Dr. Michael Thun, said Reeve "has shown strength and courage in the face of tremendous adversity." Doctors say 1 in 5 women diagnosed with the disease never lit a cigarette.

In addition to her son and step-children, she is survived by her father, Dr. Charles Morosini, and sisters Deborah Morosini and Adrienne Morosini Heilman.

No funeral plans were announced. The family said donations could be made in Dana Reeve's memory to the Christopher Reeve Foundation in Short Hills, N.J.

Bam Margera spent the night in jail

Prankster Bam Margera spent Saturday night in the pokey in Los Angeles after LAX airport security found brass knuckles in his luggage, the New York Post's Page Six reported yesterday.

Chester County's Margera, a pro-skateboarder and MTV star, told the paper that a record label gave him the knuckles to hang up in the studio from which he broadcasts his Sirius radio show.

He posted bail Sunday morning and flew back to Philly, where his fiancee, Missy Rothstein, picked him up in his purple Lam-borghini, and they raced to New York for an Oscar-viewing party at Upper East Side landmark Elaine's.

We reported recently that Margera, 26, and Rothstein, 25, who have been dating for less than a year, are engaged.

My Encounter with Clay Aiken Online

Just like the phrase goes "Eventually everyone will be on a reality tv show"; I think the same is true about gay guys encountering Clay Aiken online.

I had a pretty interesting conversation with him on Yahoo; however, I was stupid and didn't save the conversation. He spoke nicely of everyone involved with Idol and would not "out" anyone else involved with the show. He talked about how the Idols make hardly ANY money from the sale of their cd's; however, they make money on the tour, appearances, items that are created with their images (concert tshirts, other swag), etc. I had heard from someone else in the industry that the idols make as little as 25 cents per cd sold! My encounter with him occured before the military guy that outed him to become a porn star (I thought you had to be ATTRACTIVE to be in gay porn?!). At the time he was more worried about his family finding out because of how religous they are.

In a way, I feel sorry for the guy. In another way, it makes me mad that someone in his position is not being more proactive in trying to be a role model for gay youth around the world. He has an opportunity to show that it doesn't matter if you're straight or gay. You can still make your dreams come true and be successful regardless of your orientation. No, instead he would rather coward being the religous right wing for fear of loosing cd sales.

When he appears on AI or TV specials, he's clean shaven and is fairly well made up. If he's hanging around the house of course he'd look different.

I feel sorry for the guy. He's from a religious southern family and probably doesn't feel comfortable enough to come out for real. It doesn't matter whether he is or not but it's sad that he can't be who he is for real.

I had heard from someone else in the industry that the idols make as little as 25 cents per cd sold! It's not just the "idols". Unless you're getting songwriting or producing royalties, this is true for all singers. On the TLC THS, they said they were only getting $0.10 per CD! If this guy was in the entertainment industry, you'd think he'd know how that works already. :rolleyes:

Anyhoo - I don't care what Clay's orientation is but I do feel bad that he feels he can't be open about it.

I'm not buying this stuff about Clay Aiken. In the excerpt posted above, he's all concerned about proving to this other guy who he really is. That makes no sense at all. If he's not willing to come out, he's not going to jump up and down and say to someone "It's really me! I swear! I can prove it!"

It's a good possibility that's he's gay, but I don't think that particular info is authentic.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A court commissioner has signed off on an unusual restraining order against celebutante Paris Hilton, ordering her to stay at least 100 yards away from an event producer who claimed she threatened him -- unless they're at a party together.

Brian Quintana was granted the three-year restraining order against Hilton last month after he testified that the celebutante harassed and threatened him after their friendship soured.

Because Quintana, 37, and Hilton, 25, occasionally attend the same social events, their attorneys drafted an untraditional restraining order that was approved by Superior Court Commissioner Tim Murphy on Monday.

The agreement stipulates that when they attend the same parties, "the stay-away distance may be shortened to 25 feet," according to court papers.

Hilton spokesman Elliot Mintz has said his client wants nothing to do with Quintana and is happy to keep her distance from him.

Quintana testified that he met Hilton on the party circuit a few years ago and later introduced her to future boyfriend Stavros Niarchos III.

Quintana said their relationship soured after he urged Niarchos to reconsider dating Hilton

Actors Joaquin Phoenix and Eva Mendes have been spotted together, sparking rumours of a romance. According to the New York Daily News, the two stars, who are currently working on the film We Own the Night in New York, made no secret of their feelings for one another. A source said, "They held hands and danced together. It was weird - everyone knows she has a longtime boyfriend."

Mendes, who is a former girlfriend of actor Matt Damon, is currently in a relationship with director George Gargurevich. A spokesperson for the actress denies that Mendes and Phoenix are a couple, but said that the two are good friends.

They say that only two things are sure in life: Death and Taxes. Well, you can probably add celebrity hook-up rumours to that list as well. Sources for Page Six have spotted Keira Knightley and Jake Gyllenhaal together on a number of nights, and naturally, there's only one conclusion anyone can reach.

Oscar season always brings out young love. Jake Gyllenhaal, single since his split with Kirsten Dunst last year, was "getting cozy" with fellow Oscar nominee Keira Knightley in L.A. in the days leading up to the ceremony. "They were at Soho House two nights in a row together and definitely looked like a couple," snitched our spy.

But all is not rosy for Keira. It seems the limelight has been taking it's toll on the slight British beauty. Sky News reports that Keira ended up in tears while out at the Ivy in LA, and needed much comforting from none other than new pal, Sienna Miller.

According to IMDb, Sienna had to have her hanky at the ready, as poor Keira was a little tearful because of all the media attention.

The Pride & Prejudice star - in Tinseltown for the Oscar ceremony - reportedly became so overwhelmed by photographers and fans, that after leaving The Ivy restaurant, she hid out in the Marmont with Miss Miller.
Granted, anyone who knows anything about the Hollywood and the Paparazzi would tell you that going to the Ivy comes with a large order of cameras in your face, so Keira's crying may come off as a bit "told you so," but just take a look at how many Paparazzi there are around her in these pictures, and tell me that you could handle it.

Tara Reid is at it again

A f-ed up Tara Reid was spotted Wednesday morning outside of Dennis Rodman's Newport Beach house paying off a local resident after slamming into their car.

According to an eyewitness, Reid's "pupils were clearly dialated, for what reason I don't know."

After exiting their respective vehicles, Tara told the owner of the other vehicle that she "didn't want to deal with insurance," and promptly handed the dude $700 dollars to "forget it ever happened."

The chump apparently agreed and let Tara drive off, avoiding a brilliant police scene.

The bigger question remains:

I understand she's a little on the stupid side, but when you're as hot as Jessica Simpson you don't deserve to be dumped until you become horribly disfigured or old. Dennis Quaid reveals his battle with anorexia

Eating disorders are commonly thought to be a female problem, but Dennis Quaid speaks out to dispel that myth in a new interview with Best Life magazine.

The 51-year-old actor says he battled anorexia in the mid-1990s, around the time he shed 40 lbs. for the role of Doc Holliday in the film Wyatt Earp, the New York Post reports.

In the period the film portrays, Holliday was dying of tuberculosis, and Quaid lost the weight to capture the gaunt look of a man near death.

"My arms were so skinny that I couldn't pull myself out of a pool," Quaid admits, describing what he suffered from as "manorexia." "I wasn't bulimic, but I could understand what people go through with that."

But, like other people who suffer from the disease, he had an entirely different image of himself.

"I'd look in the mirror and still see a 180-lb. guy, even though I was 138 pounds," he says.

Today, Quaid appears trim but fit, and far cry from the dangerously low weight of the past. Even though the weight loss for the film was temporary, Quaid says the mentality stuck with him.

"For many years, I was obsessed about what I was eating, how many calories it had, and how much exercise I'd have to do," he tells the magazine.

Quaid also opens up about his split from ex-wife Meg Ryan, who recently told Oprah that their union was "unhealthy." The actor chalks it up to the challenges of career and having to spend time away from each other.

"There was a lot of time spent apart," he says. "Communication got tough. It was lonely and difficult. It was like we were single without the benefits of being single. And I think everybody knows what happened in the end, but that was just a symptom of other things."

Charlize Theron has fired back at weekend reports she has split from boyfriend Stuart Townsend, insisting the pair are still together.

The actress has been spotted alone at various recent awards ceremonies, including the Oscars, where she took her mum as her date, but she insists that's simply because her Irish lover has been away working.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Maybe George Clooney feels that taking home an Oscar was enough.

The winner of the Academy Award for best supporting actor for his role in "Syriana" has donated his decadent Oscar gift bag to the United Way, a spokeswoman for the organization said Wednesday.

The loot will be sold in an online auction to benefit the United Way Hurricane Response and Relief Recovery Fund, said spokeswoman Sheila Consaul. Clooney is a member of the charity's board of trustees, she said.

"This refocuses people back to the long-term nature of hurricane recovery efforts," she said.

The gift bag given to presenters at the 78th Annual Academy Awards includes a BlackBerry 8700c, a Kay Unger kimono and a cultured Tahitian-pearl necklace, among other items.

The entire collection will be sold to "one very, very lucky bidder," Consaul said.

The auction will begin March 21 on the United Way Web site.

The winning bidder will also receive a handwritten thank-you note from Clooney acknowledging the donation to hurricane relief, Consaul said.

Jennie Garth Expecting Third Child

Jennie Garth is expecting her third child with actor-husband Peter Facinelli, Us magazine reports.

"Peter and I feel very blessed with our children," the 33-year-old actress is quoted as telling the magazine in its latest issue, on newsstands Wednesday.

The couple have two daughters, Lola Ray, 3, and Luca Bella, 8.

"We didn't plan any one of them, but higher forces and recognizing priorities helped us along the way. We can't wait to meet this newest addition to our family!" Garth says.

The Associated Press left a phone message for her press representative Wednesday.

Garth, star of the WB sitcom "What I Like About You," and Facinelli, 32, were married in 2001.

"Marriages aren't easy, and we're just like any other couple," says Garth, who starred as Kelly Taylor on the '90s TV series "Beverly Hills, 90210."

"We have our roadblocks, but we get around them, and our family prevails. We are so happy we have a normal, grounded life to keep us centered."

When we saw her out right before Christmas, she looked awesome! She'll be yet another glamorous mom to watch since she always looks put together (which will be nice after the Brittney fiasco!) I wonder if this pregnancy will be written into the show (since she's not got that hottie husband now).

NEW YORK - Donald Trump's wife gave birth to a boy Monday, the billionaire developer announced.

"Everyone's perfect," Trump said in a telephone interview on MSNBC's "Imus in the Morning," about 20 minutes after the arrival of his fifth child.

Trump said the new baby was already making him feel younger.

"I continue to stay young, right? I produce children, I stay young," he said, adding that the couple has not yet decided on a name.

Melania Knauss Trump was in labor for eight hours with her first child.

The tycoon's first wife, Ivana Trump, is the mother of Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric, who are all in their 20s. Preteen Tiffany is the daughter of Trump's second wife, Marla Maples.

Knauss Trump is a model and commercial actress. The couple married in January 2005.

Discussing some of the new songs recently Love said: “I don't generally talk about what the songs are about, but I will say that in the gutters of this earth you can always find love.” “In the darkest alley and [during] the lowest moment there is always that thing that glitters just a little bit, no matter how twisted or deadly or violent,” she continued. “It's there magical and transformative. Can anyone else tell that the poor kid is more then likely going to be raised by nannies and lawyers. I would not doubt it if they already have boarding schools picked out for this kid. I some how feel that "The Donald" had this kid so that he can carry on the "Trump" name of wealth! I know that sounds mean but am I the only one that feels that way?

When he was on Regis and Kelly a few weeks ago, Trump said that Melania did want him in there. He made it sound like it wasn't his decision. But, that may have been for show. Although, she is from a different culture. Maybe fathers are not in the delivery room in her country. Where is she from?

South Park has exacted revenge on its former star Isaac Hayes by turning his character Chef into a paedophile and seemingly killing him off.

The opening episode of the 10th series, screened in the US on Wednesday, appeared to be a satire on Scientology. Hayes, a Scientologist, quit the animated comedy after a different episode ridiculed the religion.

In the new show, Chef is brainwashed by the "Super Adventure Club" - thought to be a veiled reference to Scientology. The other characters are angry at "that fruity little club for scrambling his brains". Hayes did not participate in the episode but his lines were apparently patched together from previous recordings.

Chef arrives after travelling the world with the Super Adventure Club and repeatedly tells the children he wants to "make sweet love" to them. The children take him to a psychiatrist and then a strip club, where he remembers his love for women and is cured.

But he is brainwashed by the Super Adventure Club again - before falling off a bridge and being burned, stabbed and mauled by a lion and a grizzly bear.

At his funeral, one of the children says: "A lot of us don't agree with the choices the Chef has made in the last few days.

"Some of us feel hurt and confused that he seemed to turn his back on us. But we can't let the events of the past few weeks take away the memories of how Chef made us smile."

Isaac Hayes was admitted to hospital with exhaustion in January
Soul singer Hayes recently announced he had left the show because of its "intolerance and bigotry toward religious beliefs".

But co-creator Matt Stone said: "In 10 years and over 150 episodes of South Park, Isaac never had a problem with the show making fun of Christians, Muslim, Mormons or Jews. He got a sudden case of religious sensitivity when it was his religion featured on the show."

US TV network Comedy Central then pulled a different episode, which mocked Tom Cruise and more explicitly lampooned Scientology. That prompted rumours that Cruise had demanded that the episode be dropped, which were denied by his representatives.

A source who was close to Dave Navarro tells me that he and Carmen Electra are definitely not together, and probably haven't been for quite some time.

Well as far as I am concerned (because I hung out with Dave three weeks ago), he's broken up with Carmen and wasn't wearing his wedding ring.

The producers were like "Oooh, come to the after party, Dave is looking for a night of fun if you know what I mean!" after I asked about Dave and Carmen's status (funny, my boyfriend was standing like 5 feet away haha).

They also kept referring to him and Carmen not being together, and they were trying to recruit girls. He was looking for some girls for the night, but when I was like, "What?! I love Carmen! They aren't together?" Then they'd get all hush hush with funny smiles and say they aren't saying nothing...

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A judge has issued a temporary restraining order requiring David Hasselhoff to stay away from his estranged wife, according to court papers unsealed this week.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mark A. Juhas signed the order March 6 ordering the former "Baywatch" star to stay at least 100 yards from actress Pamela Bach except for "peaceful contacts related to court ordered visitation" of one their two teenage daughters.

Bach, 42, has custody of one daughter while Hasselhoff, 53, has custody of the other.

Juhas scheduled a hearing for April 4 to decide whether to extend the order to three years.

In her request for the order, Bach claimed instances of domestic violence in December and February. In one incident, police officers were summoned but didn't give Bach an emergency protective order, according to court documents.

Hasselhoff's publicist said the actor "categorically denies" Bach's allegations but declined to elaborate.

"Out of consideration for his children, which, as always, remains his paramount concern, he is not going to discuss this publicly," said publicist Judy Katz.

Hasselhoff filed for divorce January 12, citing irreconcilable differences after 16 years of marriage. Bach filed her own divorce papers a day later, also citing irreconcilable differences.

Hasselhoff played lifeguard Mitch Buchannon on "Baywatch" from 1989 to 2000. He also starred in the 1980s TV series "Knight Rider," in which his character, Michael Knight, teamed with a talking Pontiac Trans Am sports car to fight crime.

Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon will star in "Ocean's 13," the third flick in their franchise about a gang of lovable crooks, distributor Warner Bros. announced Monday.

A supporting-actor Oscar winner for the oil-industry thriller "Syriana," Clooney will reprise his role as leader of the pack Danny Ocean, with the group pulling off a new heist in Las Vegas.

Clooney's producing partner Steven Soderbergh, who made the 2001 hit "Ocean's Eleven" and its 2004 sequel "Ocean's Twelve," will direct again.

Julia Roberts, Clooney's love interest in the first two movies, and "Ocean's Twelve" co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones will not be back for the third movie, according to Warner Bros.

"It was a script issue. We didn't have a place to really use talent like theirs, two big stars like that," said Jerry Weintraub, the franchise's producer. "They're very good friends of ours, and neither Soderbergh nor I would prevail on them to come back and do nothing just to do it."

Weintraub said if the filmmakers hit on a good idea to include the actresses, there was a chance Roberts and Zeta-Jones could return.

When high on drugs, she imagines she sees demons and is being beaten by them.

Tina also claimed Whitney was so wasted on drugs that she wet herself — then put on a baby’s nappy.

And once Whitney smoked crack on the way to a rehab clinic.

Tina recalled: “She’d say, ‘I’m just gonna act crazy’.”

Whitney allegedly calls a stream of dealers to her house and buys “eight balls” of crack — eighth of an ounce rocks.

Users usually break an eight ball up into smaller pieces.

But Tina said Whitney cuts open a cigar, puts an entire eight ball inside it with marijuana and smokes it.

Whitney was also rushed to hospital in 2003 with blood gushing from her nose — and emerged with a bizarre bandage on it.

A source said: “Everyone wondered what happened to Whitney’s nose.”

Witnesses at a Las Vegas hotel described how she had earlier looked “completely trashed”.

Tina added: “I understand what she’s going through. Addiction is a disease. Maybe this interview will save her life.”

Paltrow is famous for her rigorous macrobiotic diet, although she altered it the last time she was pregnant, with her daughter, Apple. Some experts recommend a little Guinness for expecting mothers, because of the brew's high iron content.

Her rep confirmed she drank the alcoholic beverage, but said she ate only cooked food, not sushi.

Guess there is something to that Guinness slogan after all!

I absolutely cannot stand the way everyone and their mother thinks it is appropriate to comment on what a pregnant woman drinks/eats/etc. :rolleyes: There are MANY, MANY trained ob's who are completely fine with a mama-to-be having a beer/glass of wine on an occassional basis (and fwiw, sushi from a reputable source as well). So what if Gwyneth is preggers and has a beer? I, for one, will be following the everything in moderation rule while pregnant - so that means beer, wine, sushi, tuna, etc. will all continue to be a part of my diet and my midwife is in total agreement that this is safe. Sorry for the vent but this is so friggin annoying to me.

I totally agree with this, it's not like she was pounding down shot after shot getting totally sh**t faced! My OB has said that wine or beer in moderation is fine. I actually had a lady come up to me in taco bell when I was PG the first time and tell me "I hope you are drinking decaf soda for your baby's sake." I so wanted to tell her off, but just ignored her. Why do so many people care what other people do when they are PG?

Yes they're dating. I don't see why she's dating him. Teri comes across as very needy and it appears she wants to settle down w/ a husband and find a father for her little girl. MATT LEBLANC IS FILING FOR DIVORCE

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is filing for divorce later today from Melissa, his wife of three years. The National Enquirer has learned exclusively that the couple split up in January, soon after LeBlanc's NBC sitcom Joey was cancelled.

Divorce papers are expected to be filed at Los Angeles Superior Court today.

The couple have a two-year-old daughter, Marina, who suffers from a rare brain disorder, and LeBlanc is stepfather to his wife's two older children from an earlier marriage, Tyler, 13, and Jacquelyn, 10.

LeBlanc, 38, and former model Melissa "Missie" McKnight, 41, were married in a romantic beachfront ceremony in Hawaii on May 3, 2003.

Model Naomi Campbell arrested in N.Y.

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Model Naomi Campbell was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly striking her assistant with a cell phone, New York police said.

"We believe this is a case of retaliation, because Naomi had fired her housekeeper earlier this morning," said a written statement from a spokeswoman for the model, who has appeared on the covers of Vogue and countless other fashion magazines.

"We are confident the courts will see it the same way."

The victim was not identified. Charges were pending, a police spokeswoman said, according to Reuters.

Campbell was being fingerprinted and photographed at a police station and later would be taken to court for arraignment, the spokeswoman added.

This isn't Campbell's first brush with the law. In 2003, the London-born model was sued by a former administrative assistant who alleged that Campbell had thrown a phone at her during a tantrum two years earlier in a Beverly Hills, California, hotel, according to The Associated Press.

In February 2000, Campbell pleaded guilty in Toronto to an assault charge for beating another assistant while making a film in Canada in 1998.

Okay, y'all, I sat on this one a bit because it is SO SCANDALOUS! But I can't hold it in any longer.

On a TV drama I talk about in my column, the leading man was shooting a fight scene with his co-star. We'll call the leading man, oh ... let's go with Tony and the co-star Buddy. Well, in the scene, Tony shoves Buddy, and Buddy insists that he pushed him too hard. Buddy says, "let me show you how you did it" and as he's demonstrating, he "accidently" elbows Tony in the nose and Buddy starts bleeding. And, then, it gets UGLY.

A REAL BRAWL broke out on set, with the two going at each other like wild tigers. My source tells me, "Everyone on set was shocked and didn't know what to do. They were seperated but not until after they had been rolling around for a good few minutes."

And you thought Teddy C. and I had workplace issues.

Let the guessing begin!

I don't watch the show either . . . but I do remember liking him against my own will when he was Tristan on Gilmore Girls. I think I wanted Rory to go for "the bad boy" b/c he was so much more exciting than the humdrum Dean.

Or so it seemed after Today show entertainment correspondent Jill Rappaport questioned Jennifer Aniston Tuesday about the latest grist for the rumor mill surrounding Aniston and boyfriend Vince Vaughn. But although the 37-year-old actress clammed up, her Friends with Money costar Catherine Keener was on-hand to ward off what could have been a pret-ty awkward silence.

When Rappaport asked Aniston if there was any truth behind the rumor that Oprah Winfrey was throwing an $8 million blowout wedding for Aniston and her beau, the Good Girl actress kept a stiff upper lip. But Aniston's lip was so stiff, it wouldn't allow any words to come out, and before you can say Friends, Keener spoke up on her pal's behalf.

"I thought you weren't going to go there," the 40-Year-Old Virgin star told Rappaport, a reproachful edge in her voice. "But you did."

"It's frustrating because those rumors do get out there," Rappaport said in her defense (just in case Aniston hadn't noticed all of those magazines out there with herself, Vaughn, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie squeezed onto one cover).

And, Rappaport added, "when you hear about an $8 million wedding, you'd like to be invited."

"And now you won't be," jested Keener, drawing laughs from Aniston and fellow interviewee Joan Cusack.

At one point in the conversation Rappaport had asked Keener about Aniston's nickname for her, which apparently was "mama bear," in reference to Keener's protective nature.

"More like mama cougar," the correspondent joked after Keener bared that brief bit of claw in Aniston's defense. Rappaport also quipped that she hoped Vaughn wouldn't mind having an extra wedding crasher at his nuptials.

Before the verbal ping-pong began, Rappaport's chat with the three actresses revolved mainly on their friendly bond during filming. The subject of friendship, however, inevitably led to a question for Aniston about how the support of friends and family has helped her through the recent public turmoil in her life.

Aniston called all the love in her corner "a beautiful thing."

"A lot of people have stuff that they go through in life that's hard, and they show up and they're a professional, and she was a great example of that," Cusack said.

In Friends with Money, Aniston plays the aimless, less affluent friend of three married women played by Keener, Cusack and Frances McDormand. Lovely and Amazing director Nicole Holofcener did the honors for this film, which opens Friday.
