Top Court To Hear Smith's Appeal

Anna Nicole Smith's appeal to restore a judge's award of $88.6 million from the estate of her late husband is set to be heard by the Us Supreme Court. The justices have agreed to review a US appeals court ruling which overturned a judge's decision in favor of the busty blonde, who was 26 when she married 89-year-old oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall in 1994. Shortly before his death in 1995, Marshall was one of the wealthiest men in Texas, with assets exceeding $1.6 billion. His death has triggered a long legal battle between Smith and his son, E. Pierce Marshall. The appeals court ruled last year that a Texas probate court's decision that the son was the oilman's sole heir should stand. It said Smith was not mentioned in Marshall's will or in his trust. The appeals court ruled that a federal judge in California, who awarded the damages to Smith in 2002, lacked jurisdiction over the dispute. The justices will most likely hear arguments in the case in January, with a decision due by the end of June .

Leigh and Baumbach Wed

Single White Female star Jennifer Jason Leigh has married her film-maker boyfriend Noah Baumbach. The Hollywood-born actress, 43, and New Yorker Baumbach, 35, became husband and wife in an undisclosed location over the Labor Day weekend. Ecstatic Baumbach confirmed the nuptials had taken place to US magazine People at the New York Film Festival premiere of his drama The Squid And The Whale on Monday night. He enthused, "I expect to be with her the rest of my life." The couple plan to split their time between Leigh's home state of California and Baumbach's beloved Big Apple. Paltrow Couldn't Cope With Young Success

Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow wishes she found success in her later years, because she had nothing to strive for after winning her Oscar. While Paltrow's popularity in Hollywood peaked at the age of 26, the actress admits she was unequipped to cope wit the pressures of fame and didn't want to reach the pinnacle of her career so early. After leaping to fame in 1995 thanks to her romance with Brad Pitt, Paltrow's more recent films have failed to match the huge success of 1998 period romance Shakespeare In Love, for which she won an Academy Award. Paltrow, who turns 33 today says, "When you reach the pinnacle of your success at 26, as I did, it's not healthy. It leaves you in a sort of crisis in terms of what you're supposed to be and do for the rest of your life. I made the mistakes of working too much and it turned out to be really the wrong thing. I just had a lot of life in 10 years. I achieved a lot early, but I wasn't very happy." Since her 2003 marriage to Chris Martin and the 2004 birth of their baby Apple, Paltrow is finally happy. She enthuses, "At this point in my life, I have a real life. Having Apple has changed everything for me."

Renee Zellweger claims she still believes in marriage - despite her split from husband Kenny Chesney.

The Oscar-winning actress, who recently had her union to the country singer annulled after just five months of marriage, says she hasn't lost faith because her parents have stayed together for so long. Sheryl Crow's wedding plans revealed

Sheryl Crow will reportedly marry Lance Armstrong in a spring wedding at Santa Barbara's luxury Bacara Resort. Insiders claim the smitten couple will tie the knot in April at the swanky Californian resort, where Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears planned - but eventually scrapped - their weddings.

Sheryl is having her wedding dress made by top designer Ralph Lauren, who is set to design the entire event. A source told America's New York Post newspaper: "Everything from the dress down to the candles and flatware will be from his collections."

Another Shirley is also taking aim at Hilton. Shirley MacLaine, who was named after Temple, had unkind words for Hilton. “She just shops and turns up to parties,” said MacLaine while promoting her film “In Her Shoes.” “So she wears pink and has blonde hair and suddenly she calls herself not a starlet or an ingénue — no, according to Paris, she is a movie star!”

Hilton recently wrapped her first lead roles in "Bottom’s Up" and "Pledge This," which further irks MacLaine. “It irritates me as in my day you had to really work,” said MacLaine. “It took Bette Davis seven years of hard slog to reach the point where her name was above the title on a movie.”

Actor Bruce Willis has forbidden his ex-wife, Demi Moore, to raise their children in Kabbalah spirit.

Willis, married to Moore from November 21, 1987 to October 18, 2000, had three children during their thirteen-year union: Rumer Glenn Willis (born 1988), Scout LaRue Willis (1991) and Tallulah Belle Willis (1994).

Apparently, the actor told Demi and Ashton, who got married in a Kabbalah ceremony at a private home over the weekend, to do whatever they want with their personal and religious lives, but without interfering with their children’s spiritual education.

A source said: "Bruce's feelings are that Demi and Ashton can do whatever they want with their personal and religious lives.
But he puts down his foot when it comes to his daughters and does not want them visiting the Kabbalah Center."

Actors Demi Moore, 42, and Ashton Kutcher, 27, got married on Sept. 24, 2005 in Los Angeles. Representatives for the Hollywood couple did not release any comments so far.

US Weekly reports that Ashton and Demi exchanged vows in Beverly Hills, Calif., Saturday night in front of 100 guests. Demi Moore’s ex-husband, Bruce Willis, is said to have attended the wedding as well.

It’s over. After weeks of boundless speculation over Paris Hilton’s engagement to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, a source very close to the groom’s family says that the wedding plans are off—and have been for months.

It all began in July, when Latsis reportedly took his bride-to-be to meet his parents on their yacht anchored near Mykonos—only to be preempted by an exposé on Hilton in the Greek tabloid Very Sorry that included highlights from her sexual resumé and stills from One Night in Paris. The Latsises, a staunchly conservative Greek Orthodox family that until recently was sheltered from the media whirl, had dismissed talk of Hilton’s sordid exploits as ungrounded gossip. But when embarrassing articles about her began appearing in their local papers, they decided to take a closer look.

Enter Rick and Kathy Hilton, arriving in sunny Greece to get chummy with their high-falutin’ in-laws. “They were supposed to meet with the Latsises, but after Mrs. Latsis found out what was going on [from the Greek papers], she quickly hopped on a boat and refused to meet with them,” says the source. “For their son to even think of marrying such a woman is an insult to the entire family. Paris Hilton has ended her five-month engagement to a Greek shipping heir, according to a published report.

The celebutante-turned-model broke off the wedding plans with Paris Latsis, according to a report posted Friday on Us Weekly's Web site, which quoted a statement it said Hilton released to the magazine.

"I'm sad to announce that I've called off my engagement. Over the last couple months I've realized that this is the right decision for me. We remain best of friends, and I'll always love him. I hope people will respect my privacy during this emotional time," Hilton told the magazine.

Hilton's publicist did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press.

Hilton, 24 and Latsis, 22, became engaged in the spring.

"I'm so in love and grateful to have found such an honest and loyal person," she told Us Weekly at the time. "I feel like we were meant to be, and I'm happy to have found someone to spend the rest of my life with. He's amazing in every way."

Latsis gave the 24-year-old hotel heiress a 24 carat, $5 million diamond engagement ring. It was not immediately clear what would happen to the ring.

Star's Red Carpet Removal

Sometimes, when you have a little faith (or at least a voodoo doll and some sharp pins), good things can happen. In news that gives us a great big happy, the purple velvet-clad awards show menace otherwise known as Star Jones will not be returning to E!'s red carpet, reports the New York Post.

Say it with us, people: Woo-hoo!

The paper says the cable channel has opted not to renew the contract of the swag-addicted, marriage-gushing Mrs. Al Reynolds, whose final awkward appearance was at the Emmys earlier this month.

The burning question: Did Jones, who has described her E! duties as her second favorite gig outside of "The View," depart of her own accord or was she shown the door?

E! is quick to deny the Payless-pushing host was given the boot, and Star told the paper last week that she was going to be too darn busy with other commitments to return. Among those commitments: the promotion of her forthcoming book, "Shine: A Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Journey to Finding Love," which chronicles her courtship with Reynolds (it will be released Jan. 6 — be sure to stock up on plenty of Pepto to control the queasiness).

Still, Star's self-promoting and at times sycophantic style didn't exactly endear her to viewers (and by viewers, we mean us). Last year, she couldn't stop yammering about her corporate-sponsored "fairy tale" nuptials, and her celebrity fawning stood in stark contrast to her gaffe-prone but always amusing predecessor, Joan Rivers.

E! execs have also been less than impressed with Star's so-so ratings and attempts to wrangle stars to appear on "The View," according to the Post.

"This has been in the works for a while," a mole tells the paper. "She just didn't do well on the red carpet and E! is letting her blame the book, but they were the ones telling her they wouldn't be picking up her option. Do you think Star would give up good money and a load of freebies from the goody bags and the dresses for a book? No way."

The paper predicts Star's zinger-throwing nemesis Kathy Griffin might be tapped to take over her red carpet duties, possibly joined by Carson Kressley and Giuliana DePandi. E! says no decisions have yet been made.

LOS ANGELES - Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage is a new father

His wife, Alice Kim Cage, gave birth Monday to a boy, Kal-el Coppola Cage, in New York City, said Cage's Los Angeles-based publicist, Annett Wolf. No other details were available.

"They are healthy and happy and it's quite lovely," Wolf said by phone from New York.

Cage is a nephew of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola.

The couple married in July 2004. It was the third marriage for Cage and the first for his new wife, who was 20 when they were wed. They met when Cage visited a Los Angeles restaurant where she was working as a waitress.

Cage, 41, who won an Oscar for his role in "Leaving Las Vegas," has a son from a previous relationship.

His screen credits also include "Lord of War," now in theaters, "Adaptation," "Honeymoon in Vegas" and "Moonstruck."

He was previously married to Lisa Marie Presley and actress Patricia Arquette.

Well, that's the case with a tirade that Good Charlotte's Benji Madden has lobbed at former "American Idol" champ (and current pop-rock golden girl) Kelly Clarkson, which manages to break new ground in the "are-you-serious?" world of rock beefs because of its undeniable ridiculousness (but also because it doesn't involve the Killers — see "The Vanilla Thrilla: The Killers vs. The Bravery" and "Killers Get More Beef — This Time With Fall Out Boy").

The whole mess started late last month, when in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Clarkson made a joking reference to a beef between herself and Hilary Duff (a.k.a. GC frontman Joel Madden's girlfriend), saying that she'd like to "fight" Duff because she's from Clarkson's home state of Texas. She then added that she'd also like to throw Beyoncé in the mix, too, since she's also a native Texan.

Perhaps failing to realize that Clarkson was joking (even though the interview was in the magazine's 'Stupid Questions With ...' section), on Saturday, Benji Madden fired back at Clarkson with a catty entry in his blog on GoodCharlotte.com.

In the post, which has since been removed from the band's site, Madden got in a few shots about Clarkson's weight and career, while also giving props to his mom, replacing the pronoun "you" with "u" and spelling the word "sucks" with an "x."

"My mom told me if I didn't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all, so I won't say 'Amercian Idol' sux, but it does make me laugh when someone like Kelly Clarkson disses someone like Hilary Duff," the post — as quoted in several punk blogs — read in part. " 'Cause let's not forget Kelly (BTW-Kanye West thinks u have a nice a--, I saw him look at it one time ... me, I prefer the more fit look), you were a 'contestant' on a TV show. Hilary made herself."

The post was long gone by Sunday, replaced with a message from Benji that read "Where did all my blogs go? O well," and concluded with a link to Clarkson's official site (listed as "#1 Ya'll!!!"). But Wednesday, Benji managed to get in one more passing dig, writing that he would be "making balloon figures of Kelly Clarkson" during Duff's birthday party at the Los Angeles club Mood on Wednesday night.

When MTV News caught up with Madden at Mood, however, there were no balloon figures or harsh words.

"Here's the thing," he said. "I heard that she said some petty things about someone I care deeply about, so I just made some petty remarks 'cause I'm a petty guy. Straight up, I'm from Waldorf, Maryland, you guys. Let's not forget that. You take shots, I take shots. I love you, Kelly — it's all good."

Well, maybe not all good. Neither Madden's record label, Epic, nor his management company would comment on the issue. And Clarkson has declined comment, though a spokesperson for RCA, her record label, who requested anonymity told MTV News, "It's insane. Kelly likes Hilary, and the [EW quote] was said in jest. In fact, the article says she was laughing while she said it."

I'm actually a faithful member of eonline and viewer of E! and 2 weeks ago I was polled by E! on the current Red Carpet program, and I definitely dissed Star, but what was cool is that they are also considering Kirstie Alley and Nicole Richie to host, and I gave them the thumbs up----I think Kirstie would be funny, and Nicole wouldn't suck up as much as Star. So, we shall see. I like Giuliana DePandi as well.

Not exactly a frickin’ surprise but smutworthy all the same. Why? Because every gossip worth his/her venomous dagger in the back should fear the repercussions. Paris is a great guy and we will handle this with dignity and respect.”

So what’s the real scoop? As I reported several weeks ago, Paris was extremely irritated at the end of the summer when she returned to America after a long holiday abroad with her fiancé only to find that she wasn’t missed at all. Not only was she completely overlooked Stateside, it burned her nipples off to learn that it was Nicole Richie who had taken her place and captured everyone’s gossip fascination withOUT mashing her poon in everyone’ s face. In typical Paris fashion, she decided to stir up some controversy by showing up the MTV VMAs with music producer Scott Storch, with whom she is cutting her new record. BREAKING FAST: Lindsay Lohan In ANOTHER CAR CRASH!!

Lindsay Lohan was involved in another car accident on Tuesday, multiple sources tel PerezHilton.com.

Thankfully, the teen star did not suffer any major injury.

Lohan, as many of you may remember, was also involved in another car accident in the spring.

This accident happened, ironically, on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles, of all places, an area known for it's congestion of snappers.

"Out of nowhere, this car comes racing down Robertson Blvd.," an eyewitness tells PerezHilton.com. "The car must have been going about 60-70 mph."

Behind the weels of said car (a black, convertible Mercedes) was Lindsay Lohan, accompanied in the car by an (as of yet) unidentified female.

The accident happened right outside of the Newsroom Cafe, just down the street from The Ivy.

Unlike her previous accident, we hear that this time, Lindsay was not being chased by the paparazzi.

"Lindsay was driving like a maniac ans he hit a (red) van that was being driven by an employee of the Newsroom Cafe," another source tells us.

"Both Lohan's car and the van were totalled," a source tells PerezHilton.com. "Her airbags were deployed. It was awful! One of her tires ended up in the middle of the street.

After the accident, a paniced Lindsay fled the scene and rushed into a nearbye antiques shop, inronically called Hideaway House Antiques.

A few minutes later, a source tells PerezHilton.com, "Lindsay's female friend went running out back to the car, which was totalled. She went and grabbed all of Lindsay's stuff out of the car."

As one would imagine, the paparazzi, though they were not chasing Lohan at the time of the accident, instantly began to snap away once the collision occured.

"It was chaos," an eyewitness tells PerezHilton.com. "There were helicopters circling above and everything after the accident. A circus!

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Lindsay Lohan and two other people were taken to a hospital Tuesday after the actress' black Mercedes-Benz convertible collided with a van in West Hollywood, authorities said.

Witnesses said Lohan was trying to avoid paparazzi photographers when the crash occurred.

Lohan and a female passenger in her car suffered minor injuries, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Diane Hecht.

The driver of the van, which was knocked into a parked vehicle, suffered moderate injuries, Hecht said. The identities of Lohan's passenger and the male driver of the van were not immediately released.

The accident was witnessed by a number of people, including a reporter for the syndicated television show "The Insider."

"Insider" reporter Victoria Recano told The Associated Press she saw Lohan and a passenger run into an antique store immediately after the collision.

Javier Ramirez, who works at the store, said he recognized Lohan.

"She was very upset," Ramirez told the AP. "She kept saying, 'Oh my God, oh my God, I can't believe it."'

Ramirez said Lohan and her passenger left after a few minutes and although both were shaken up, neither appeared badly hurt.

Television news footage showed a badly damaged black Mercedes outside the store with both its driver- and passenger-side air bags inflated.

The sheriff's department said the driver of the van appeared to be turning in front of Lohan's car when the vehicles collided. There was no evidence alcohol was involved in the crash, Hecht said in a news release.

Witnesses said dozens of paparazzi photographers had been following Lohan through the area before the crash. At one point, according to Lori Satzberg, 43, several photographers tried to take pictures of Lohan as she shopped at a clothing store. The photographers then followed her outside to her car.

"She got into her black Mercedes across the street and they literally were like sitting on her car, trying to take pictures of her, she was like yelling at them to get off," Satzberg said.

The crash was the second one Lohan, 19, has been involved in recent months.

Police said the star of such films as "Mean Girls" and "Herbie: Fully Loaded" was attempting to evade a paparazzi photographer in June when the photographer crashed his car into her Mercedes. She suffered cuts and bruises in that crash but did not seek medical attention.

The photographer was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon. Police said it appeared he deliberately crashed into the actress' vehicle.

A new state law signed Friday allows victims of paparazzi assaults to file lawsuits seeking up to three times the damages they suffered. The law goes into effect Jan. 1.

Sorry Coco, not being mean, just following the story, which looked to be her fault! And with all the pics of her stoned lately, I think she should be given a drug test, because I really don't have a doubt she's stoned while driving.

I do agree, the papparazzi needs to lighten up on celebrities, but if you're going to be driving under the influence, then you need to be called on it (not that we know for sure if she was stoned, but she's that way quite a bit, from all the pics put on just this message board about her). And I do hope they did some type of tests on her in the hospital. Also, I hope she wasn't hurt.

Over the last few days, Nashville star Chris Cagle's life has provided enough fodder for an album's worth of material.

The Anywhere But Here crooner released a statement on his Website Tuesday acknowledging that he is not the biological father of girlfriend Tammy Wheeler's, baby.

"As many of you are aware, I had been anxiously awaiting the addition of a new baby to my life," the statement reads. "The baby has been born and both mother and child are in good health.

"Since the birth, however, we have discovered that biologically, the child is not mine."

The singer continues: "As excited as I was about becoming a new father, my disappointment now is equally strong. Out of respect for all that are involved, please allow this situation to remain private and know that I will not be commenting further on this very personal matter."

Wheeler's son, Cannon Dale, was born over the weekend, though no further details were released.

Though it would have been the first child for the country star, Cagle already has plenty of experience as a father figure.

The "Chicks Dig It" songster was previously married to Texas schoolteacher Elizabeth Filer from 2001-03. The couple reconnected after having an earlier relationship that ended nearly 12 years prior. In the duo's time apart, she had been married and had two kids of her own.

"Those kids were the best thing I've ever found when I wasn't looking for anything," Cagle told Country Weekly in 2003.

"But I wasn't looking for children. I wasn't sure about that," he told the magazine. "But those babies are precious."

He rose to fame in 2001, after the rerelease of his debut album, Play It Loud. The record spawned two number one singles, "Laredo," and "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out."

Cagle is currently on tour supporting his third album, Anywhere But Here, which was released Tuesday on Capitol Records.

British soccer star David Beckham and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, rushed their 3-year-old son Romeo to a hospital in Spain after he suffered convulsions for the second time in a week.

The boy and his parents left the hospital on Wednesday, but there's no word yet on what was ailing Romeo. He was first rushed to Madrid's La Paz hospital on Oct. 1.

"Romeo is okay now, it's a big relief but still a worry," a family friend tells PEOPLE. "This is too sensitive a subject for them to talk about right now."

Sources say the 30-year-old soccer captain stayed overnight with his son and his 31-year-old wife while Romeo underwent tests. The family was expected to return to England where Beckham is scheduled to play in a World Cup qualifying match on Saturday.

"Like every parent, the well-being of their children is paramount," says a friend. "Victoria and David will do anything to ensure their kids' health is looked after."

The couple also have two other children Brooklyn, 6, and Cruz, 7 months.

Authorities investigating a car crash involving actress Lindsay Lohan said Wednesday that contrary to reports from some witnesses, paparazzi had nothing to do with the collision.

Lohan, 19, and a female passenger sustained minor injuries Tuesday after the actress's black Mercedes-Benz convertible collided with a van on a busy West Hollywood street.

The crash occurred because the driver of the van made a U-turn in front of Lohan, said Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The van's driver may be cited, he added.

"She happens to be an innocent victim in all of this," Whitmore said. "The paparazzi, as far as we can tell, have nothing to do in terms of the accident."

Witnesses said Lohan was shopping at a clothing store and was confronted by dozens of photographers who swarmed her car a short time before the crash.

The syndicated television show "Access Hollywood" identified the van driver as Raymundo Ortega, 40, a busboy at a Beverly Hills eatery. Ortega told the show that he was treated for minor injuries.

Lohan, the star of such films as "Mean Girls" and "Herbie: Fully Loaded," was involved in a May 31 traffic accident when she tried to evade a photographer who collided with her. The photographer was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly crashing his car deliberately into Lohan's.

That incident spurred passage of a bill signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger that calls for steep financial penalties for paparazzi who commit assaults while trying to obtain celebrity photos. The law takes effect Jan. 1.

Gawd second day in a row I am defending "Ho-Han" :rolleyes: lol...

I do not blame her for running into the store. It was this guys fault for doing an illegal U-turn infront of her and causing the crash, for all she knew it could have been the paparazzi or someone trying to intentionally hurt her again. I can't stand her but I do not blame her for doing what she did :cool:

Judging from those pics, it wasn't her fault. The van impeeded the flow of traffic. If that happened in MD, it would fall under the MD Boulevard Rule; Lohan could have been driving 90mph, drunk as a skunk and with casts on both feet--it wouldn't be her fault.

I don't understand Insurance stuff, but this might be like a situation for a friend of mine. Her father drives a Lexus. He was in an accident (rear ended) by a UHaul type truck. The insurance of the at fault driver decided that it would be cheaper for them to declare the Lexus totalled and pay the blue book value than to fix it. My friend's dad had to take legal action b/c he would have been out quite a bit of money in the process (and it's not like they were rolling in it by any means). They ended up fixing it for him, but it was a real hassle. W/ all her money, it would probably be easiest to take what the Insurance company would give her, and then just get another car.

If there's damage to the frame of the car it could very well be totaled. It's possible the frame would no longer be structurally sound due to severe frame damage.

I don't care for her but I do feel bad that she was surrounded by photographers right after the accident. They suck.

Actor Benjamin Bratt and his wife, Talisa Soto Bratt, welcomed their second child Monday, a family spokesman tells PEOPLE.

The boy, Mateo Bravery Bratt, was born in Los Angeles and weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. Both mother and son are doing well, the spokesman says.

The pair already have a daughter, Sophia, who is 2 1/2.

Cast as lovers in 2001's Pinero, Bratt, 41 and Soto, 38, began their romance when they met up for the movie's premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival.

"It started as a friendship, and little by little, they found they had something in common," Soto's friend Nicky Corello told PEOPLE in 2002.

The couple wed in a small ceremony in Bratt's hometown of San Francisco on April 13, 2002. Before marrying Soto, the former Law and Order heartthrob, who now stars on the NBC drama E-Ring, dated Julia Roberts for four years. That ended in 2001.

Soto – a former model from Brooklyn who kicked off her movie career as a Bond girl in 1989's Licence to Kill – was married to actor Costas Mandylor for three years.

If the frame of that $80k Mercedes can't withstand a 30-35 mph impact (since that's what the official reports are saying she was doing) then the quality of mercedes isn't impressing me much. I got into an accident once and my car (not a Mercedes) looked pretty much like hers in the aftermath. I was doing about the same speed and there was no frame damage. Lots of other stuff was f-ed up to the tune of about $4k in damage but it wasn't totaled.

Benjamin Bratt & Talisa Soto's kids have got to be gorgeous. There's some good genes in that pool. :D

I don't know if it is for the vehicles or certain people's insurance. I also don't know how they can declare that at the scene. We also had a friend here whose car was in a night time hit in a parking lot where the driver hit one car and pushed it into 3 other cars. All the cars where considered totalled even though the ones on the end didn't look bad. Something about the worth vs it hitting them in the exact spot that caused them to have serious damage that couldn't be seen or something.

That car insurance stuff confuses the hell out of me!

She's the courageous cover girl who survived a near-fatal crash, the sudden death of her sister and a sobering addiction to pain killers. Now, Niki Taylor is baring her soul to "Extra," revealing how she triumphed over her tragedies.

Few would have predicted Taylor's remarkable recovery from the accident four years ago that left her on the brink of death with massive internal injuries.

"I couldn't speak," Taylor recalled. "I had a tracheotomy, and I couldn't move. It was everybody's prayers and amazing doctors that got me through all that."

But most of all, it was Taylor's twin sons who helped keep her hope alive. "Jake and Hunter were a big part of me getting better and pushing me to start walking and using my hands," Taylor said.

And after nearly three months in the hospital and many more months of therapy, Taylor made a life-altering decision to expand her career. Not only did she open a trendy clothing store near her Tennessee home, she also designed her own fragrance and started a foundation called Begin, which encourages other women on her Web site to start their own businesses.

"I love being my own boss," Taylor admitted.

And recently, after a trip to Southeast Asia, the 30-year-old beauty became a spokeswoman for a group trying to stop the shocking sex slave business. "I wanted to learn, and I wanted to hear from these girls," Taylor said. "Also, what they've been through, it just moved me."

So it seems that Niki Taylor is proving she's not only a survivor, she's also an inspiration. "I'm really in the best place I've ever been," she said. "I feel like I've been given another chance at life."

When thinking of the sexiest woman alive, I don't think Jessica Biel's name would even pass through my mind. I don't think she is a particularly good actress and, to me, talent, intelligence, and other non-physical traits play a role in sex appeal (in addition to physical characteristics, naturally). Hmm. Anyhoo, Esquire and I will just have to agree to disagree. ;)

LINDSAY LOHAN is revealing her new music video in the latest OK! magazine, on newsstands today.

Lindsay directed the gritty video for her upcoming single, "Confessions of a Broken Heart," and says it is an artistic interpretation of her own past.

"If any little girl out there can see the point where: 'Lindsay's doing this music video right now and she's gone through it just like I have, it's okay,' then I will feel I have done something positive," she tells OK!.

The video is for Lindsay's new album, coming out Nov. 22, and stars her own little sister, ALI, as her childhood self and her brother DAKOTA.

In the magazine article, Lindsay also talks about her hospital stays, weight loss and more extremely personal topics. The revelations come just two days after a freak car accident wrecked the 19-year-old's Mercedes convertible.

While there had been some speculation that celebrity photographers may have caused the collision Tuesday afternoon, on Wednesday, authorities determined that paparazzi did not play a part in the incident.

In a crazy coincidence, "The Insider"'s own VICTORIA RECAÑO witnessed the teen star's accident.

Lindsay's black Mercedes convertible SL65 collided with a red van on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills at around 5 p.m. Victoria, who was lunching across the street, reports she saw Lindsay at the Ivy restaurant being surrounded by photographers before exiting and driving down the street where the crash occurred.

The airbags in Lindsay's car were deployed and the 'Herbie: Fully Loaded' star and her passenger left the vehicle and sought shelter in a nearby antique store. "They jumped out so fast I believe they left her bag in her car," Victoria said.

According to a West Hollywood police report: "Miss Lohan and her female passenger were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The male driver of the Astro van suffered moderate injuries and was also transported by ambulance to a local hospital." Lohan was released from the hospital Tuesday evening.

This isn't the first traffic mishap for Lindsay. In February of 2004, a motorist sued the actress for an accident in 2003. He claimed she struck him while driving southbound on Laurel Canyon Blvd. near the Hollywood (101) Freeway. Court papers say he suffered "personal injuries which caused and will continue to cause pain, discomfort and physical disability," as well as the temporary loss of his car, which was damaged and needed repairs.

Then on May 31, the 'Freaky Friday' star was allegedly trying to flee photographers when one of their vehicles struck her car, the LAPD said. She told us later that her car was "totaled."

"It just got a little out of hand," she said. "I handled it very well and I was very calm about it and people were actually kind of surprised. I'm thankful that my brother and sister weren't in the car."

I probably missed the whole discussion about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and the baby announcement but wasn't the reason he adopted 2 children with Nicole was because he claims to be sterile? And what about the miscarriage that Nicole had shortly before the divorce was filed? Again he said he was sterile so she'd obviously cheated :rolleyes: . Is there a magical vitamin regime that cures infertility? Because doesn't Scientology frown on medical intervention such as invetro or artificial insemination? Just curious..

According to Esquire, that is. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Jessica Biel couldn't be the sexiest woman alive, she's definitely worthy of being nominated. I just don't think that anyone can really make such a definitive statement on the subject, is all. Regardless, Jessica Biel is incredibly sexy. Michael Jackson fell to the ground as he tried to make his way through a throng of hundreds of fans outside the Victoria Palace theater, where he watched the stage version of the movie "Billy Elliot."

Security staff forced a path for Jackson, 47, through the admirers and photographers standing outside the theater so he could reach the front door. But the singer fell in the commotion.

At the performance, Jackson mingled with other spectators, chatting and signing autographs.

"He talked to us saying hello and there were a lot of people around him," said Roxanne Wisenberg, 47, of San Diego. "He was very nice and his children were with him."

Jackson was in London to work on recording a song to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims. He was staying at the Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane, where fans gathered outside in hopes of seeing him.

The visit to Britain was believed to be his first since his acquittal in June of child molestation charges. He has spent much of his time in Bahrain.

Photog Charged Over Witherspoon Incident

A photographer was charged with child endangerment and battery for allegedly striking a 5-year-old child with his camera and shoving another out of the way to take pictures of Reese Witherspoon and her children.

Todd K. Wallace, 44, was charged Friday and was due back in court Wednesday, Assistant City Attorney Patrick Ahle said.

The photographer also is charged with battering the 5-year-old's mother, who is a friend of Witherspoon, and two employees at a Disney theme park, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Rick Martinez.

Wallace became angry when the "Legally Blonde" star and her friends declined to be photographed Sept. 2 at Disney's California Adventure and cursed them, Martinez said. Wallace was initially cited for misdemeanor assault and battery of the two employees.

The incident left some of the children in tears.

Tabloids must realize that "battering and endangering a child to get a picture for their magazines is criminal and not business as usual," said Witherspoon's attorney, Blair Berk.

A phone message left for Wallace early Saturday was not immediately returned. He served more than four years in prison after a 1993 conviction of second-degree burglary and receiving goods by fraud, according to state corrections records.

In August, prosecutors decided not to charge photographers whom Witherspoon said chased her from her gym and trapped her outside the West Los Angeles gated community where she lives with her husband, actor Ryan Phillippe, and their two children.

It's officially an end of an era as legendary newsman TED KOPPEL has announced that his last edition of "Nightline" will be on November 22. With less than two months until his departure, there's still no word on who will replace him. Koppel's contract expires in December, but according to the ABC News spokesperson, the newsman decided he wanted to leave before Thanksgiving. The first post-Koppel edition is set to air on November 28. Koppel, 65, has anchored the ABC news show since its inception in 1980.

Photographers trying to get snapshots of BRAD PITT on the Canadian set of his new flick are being met and hauled off by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Pitt is in Calgary shooting 'The Assassination of Jesse James,' where three photogs in the past few weeks have been arrested. Tuesday, an Italian photographer was found in the trees and arrested. Monday, a U.S. photographer was detained and the previous month a Canadian photographer was discovered hiding on a nearby film set and charged with mischief.
