Question for those of you who know where to get the lowdown...

A friend of mine heard today that Katie Holmes agreed to marry Tom Cruise and stay married to him for the next 5 years - in exchange for $8 mil. He and his people are supposedly doing this to cover up the fact that he was caught in bed with Rob Thomas (of Matchbox Twenty fame).

I haven't seen anything out there about it... have any of you girls? The info supposedly comes from the mother of a girl at work who is a massage therapist in LA, but I have my doubts. People like to gossip, and anything they can say to add credibility to their story is fair game. Just the same, I wonder...Here's some stuff I found online...

I've been forwarded this e-mail 6,000 times this week. (Please stop, thanks.) So ridiculous, but it's about Rob Thomas (i.e., music-related) I get to post it and read all your witty dismissals. Rob Thomas, no so 'smooth' after all? I'm assuming the glossy gossip weeklies aren't touching this one. Independent Sources, why do you hate Scientology so? Didn't you listen to that heartbreaking Leonard Cohen ballad I posted?

Tom Cruise and Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas are lovers!

No doubt that anyone with an Internet connection has read about Tom Cruise being gay. According to rumor lore, he has had a long-time boyfriend in Chicago who is an Asian pilot for American Airlines. This is an accusation that Cruise and more importantly Cruise's many attorneys vehemently deny.

There have been many stories that supposedly corroborate his sexuality but never a smoking gun. Rumor mongers attribute this to the fact that Cruise goes to great lengths to cover his tracks. We are told that everyone around him signs extensive confidentiality contracts with enormous penalties for indiscretion. (Exhibit A: the 8-page confidentiality contract Cruise's housekeeper was forced to sign).

Such stories have been around for years and Cruise has evidently attempted to counter them with a series of high-profile heteronormative relationships. First, Nicole Kidman, then Penelope Cruz, and most recently Katie Holmes. In each instance, the "relationship" is actually a contract that gives the women a boost to their careers, a lot of money, and an elegant lifestyle.

Here is where this particular rumor gets interesting. Not long ago, Marisol, the wife of Matchbox Twenty's Rob Thomas (who has had to contend with his own rumors of bi-sexuality) found her husband in bed with Tom Cruise causing Cruise's people to shift into high gear.

First, Mrs. Rob Thomas was bought off for an undetermined sum.
Second, Cruise and his handlers set out to immediately find Cruise a girlfriend. Second-tier actresses were targeted. A list was drawn up with Jessica Alba (#1 pick) and three other girls who fell out for various reasons. Originally targeted (#3 I think) but later rejected as "undesirable" was rumor queen Lindsay Lohan. Way down at #5 on the list was Katie Holmes, but that was the one with whom they were able to strike a deal.

Once the contact was signed, photo ops were set up, leaks were made to the right places, and we've had celebrity relationship on steroids ever since.

One thing I will credit this rumor for is how it nicely explains Tom's behavior this past few months-including the couch jumping episode on Oprah. Cruise simply didn't have time for the Holmes rumors to circulate at its normal speed and he couldn't allow it to be second page news while the tabloids focused on Brad, Jennifer and Angelina. No, this relationship had to immediately become the "it" topic.

Well, that's how we hear it.

[A reminder to those of you reading this who have trouble differentiating truth from unsubstantiated rumor: at this point this is all conjecture.]

MARC ANTHONY WRITES 'F**K YOU' ON CHARITY CHEQUE.

JENNIFER LOPEZ's third husband MARC ANTHONY stunned hotel guests and staff by refusing to draw a sketch for a charity auction - instead writing 'F**k You' on his slip of paper.

The high-profile couple were in New York attending J.Lo's Bryant Park fashion show after-party in W Hotels' VIP hospitality suite.

Celebrities who attended the event - including actress ELISHA CUTHBERT, comedian JOHN LEGUIZAMO and designer and socialite CHARLOTTE RONSON - were invited to draw caricatures of themselves to be displayed at W Hotels properties and later auctioned off for charity.

But Anthony stunned hotel staff by refusing to participate, instead scrawling his shocking profanity.

A source says, "Everyone was drawing caricatures, doing their little drawings and stuff to be framed.

"They handed a piece of paper to Marc, for either him or J.Lo to draw on.

"He wrote 'F**k You,' and passed it back. People were totally taken aback.

"And now the other art is touring, and they literally have his 'F**k You' in storage."

The paper slip is currently sitting in the basement of the W Hotels headquarters in the Chelsea district of New York, and local newspaper the New York Daily News predicts it will soon appear on internet auction site eBay.

Sarahh- That is pretty much exactly the rumor that's been going around town ever since this whole Tom/Katie business started. When these rumors are so prevalent, there's usually a grain of truth to them. I don't that for sure, of course... but something's definitely rotten in this situation.

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Some Hollywood actresses are cautious about revealing too much skin, but 20-year-old Scarlett Johansson had to be persuaded to keep her underwear on, according to her director in "The Island," Michael Bay.

Speaking before Monday's New York premier of the thriller, which stars Johansson and Ewan McGregor as human clones on the run, Bay said he was prepared for the usual actress nerves when it came to shooting a love scene between the two leads.

"We're ready to go and of course the actress is not there," he told reporters. He said he was summoned to Johansson's trailer, expecting to have to reassure the star of "Lost in Translation" that her privacy and dignity would be protected.

"She's standing there and she says, 'I'm not wearing this cheap ... bra. I'm going naked,' " Bay said.

"I said, 'It's PG-13, you have to wear the bra,' " he said.

The O.C. star Mischa Barton and Brandon Davis, her boyfriend of more than a year, have split, PEOPLE has learned.

"They are no longer together but they remain close friends," Barton's publicist, Craig Schneider, tells PEOPLE. No third party was involved, Schneider adds.

While Barton's rep would not provide additional details about the split, a source close to the 19-year-old actress says, "It developed over the last week."

Barton began dating Davis, the twentysomething grandson of billionaire Marvin Davis, after the two were introduced at a charity event in February 2004.

It could be a reunion – if not a reconciliation – for Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. The estranged best friends may team up for a fourth installment of their FOX reality show The Simple Life, whether they like it or not, PEOPLE has learned.

The network has picked up the option on the pair's existing contracts for a fourth season of The Simple Life, according to sources close to the deal.

Planning is still in the early stages, but among the ideas being discussed internally in production would be to follow both Hilton and Richie as they prepare for their respective upcoming weddings and their subsequent lives as married women. (Hilton, 24, is engaged to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, and Richie, 23, to deejay Adam Goldstein, who goes by the name DJ AM.)

Another possibility would be to shoot their reconciliation, should such a thing actually happen. But the main parties involved are nowhere near a final decision and have not discussed a start date.

When asked about plans for the show's next season, Hilton's rep told PEOPLE: "No decisions have been made regarding The Simple Life 4."

As for the frayed friendship of the two Simple-tons, Hilton said in a statement last April: "It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. Nicole knows what she did, and that's all I'm ever going to say about it."

A source close to Hilton told PEOPLE at the time that Richie was jealous of the media attention her blonder costar received and resented being left out of things such as Hilton's February hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live."

Meanwhile Richie's friends told PEOPLE that tensions arose because she had grown out of her wild ways, quitting drinking and spending more time with fiancé Goldstein. "She just wants to be with Adam and get married," said one.

Either way, Hilton wasted no time lining up a new sidekick: equally blonde pal Kimberly Stewart, daughter of singer Rod Stewart. And Hilton wasn't shy about hinting that it may be a preview of things to come. "Kim is hysterical and crazy fun, and I love that about her," she said, admitting that she was lobbying to make Stewart her new costar.

Throughout the ordeal, FOX had no comment.

KATHY AND Rick Hilton, parents of Paris and Nicky, left the Hamptons last week en route to France to meet up with the parents of Paris Latsis. He is their daughter Paris' intended. (You know Miss Hilton purposely picked a guy with the same name as hers. It's an endless source of comment - see?) But the first stop for the Hiltons was not very pleasant. They arrived in London just in time for the terrorist bombings. They were also in Manhattan on 9/11.

Mrs. Hilton praised the "courage, organization and dignity" of the Brits. (But some cable news organizations were all bent out of shape because Tony Blair didn't breathe fire, call on God, and immediately declare war on something.)

As for the Hiltons, they've recovered and are now in Paris, meeting the family of Paris, at the behest of Paris. Then everybody - even those not named after cities - heads for the South of France.

P.S. Although we'd heard that Paris Hilton had implored Prince Charles to allow her to marry at some royal spot, like Windsor Castle, the Paris/Paris nuptials are going to happen in Greece, or so it stands right this second.

Jury In Place For Cameron Diaz Nude Photo Trial

LOS ANGELES -- A jury has been selected in the trial of the photographer accused of trying to release old topless photos of Cameron Diaz without her consent.

John Rutter is charged with attempted grand theft and forging Diaz's name on a release that involved reportedly topless pictures of her from 1992.

If convicted, Rutter could face up to six years in prison.

A civil case involving the photos is also pending.

In that case, Diaz claims Rutter tried to sell her the photos two years ago for more than $3 million before shopping them to others.

She also said the model release was forged.

Cruise's Co-Star Looking to Convert?

Just because Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have taken a much-needed vacation from the public eye (much needed by us, not them), that doesn't mean the endless stream of news about their unsettling romance has stopped flowing. Yeah, yeah, we know, you're sick of TomKat. We are too, but like a crash at the Indy 500 or Britney's ballooning belly, it's something we just can't seem to look away from. So grab your E-meter and prepare for an audit of the latest doings in the crazy, mixed-up world of the future Mr. and Mrs. Cruise ...

It sounds like a very special episode of "Felicity": Our corkscrew-haired heroine, confused and vulnerable over whether to choose Ben or Noel, ends up taking an L. Ron Hubbard-approved personality test. Hijinks follow. According to Radar Online, Keri Russell has begun exploring Scientology now that she's landed a sought-after role opposite Cruise in "Mission: Impossible III," which is being directed by her onetime "Felicity" boss, J.J. Abrams (filming reportedly starts in Italy this week). Sources tell the mag the actress has "suddenly become very interested" in the controversial religion, picking up books on the subject and popping into the church's Celebrity Center in L.A. Our hope: Russell is just doing her homework in order to communicate with her co-star in a language he understands.

Cruise and Holmes recovered from their stomach-churning, continent-hopping schmoopiness junket of 2005 (we're guessing the tour's official T-shirt will have "He's amazing" on one side and "She's magnificent" on the other) by taking to the high seas. People reports the couple recently enjoyed a Caribbean vacation on board the Freewinds, a 440-foot ship that doubles as a "special Scientology church." On their agenda: scuba diving with sea lions. Over the weekend, the loquacious lovebirds were photographed arriving in Rome -- the place where their amour-fest began two-and-a-half long months ago -- with Cruise's two children, Connor and Isabella.

Speaking of Cruise's kids, the New York Post, citing the in-house Scientology magazine Source, says 12-year-old Isabella has finished the "Basic Study Manual," described as an introductory course within the sect. Meanwhile, Fox News recently reported the tykes are being home-schooled in Beverly Hills by Cruise's two sisters.

Katie (we just can't bring ourselves to call her Kate, as Tom does) continues her robotic repetitions of undying love for her fiancé in the August issue of W, in which she poses in a gothic Comme des Garcons wedding gown. You gotta figure it's a bad sign when a cover story kicks off by talking about arranged marriages and segues into this gem: "The lady doth protest not nearly enough. It's impossible, even for a moment, to slip under the halo of cartoon hearts dancing around Holmes' head." Among the cornball terms of endearment the starlet spouts: "I've found the man of my dreams," "He's the most incredible man," "I've never met anyone like Tom," "Tom and I will always be in our honeymoon phase," "Tom is the most incredible man in the world," "He's the man of my dreams," and, of course, "He is the kindest, smartest, most adoring man." Gee, if only we could discern some sort of pattern in her proclamations.

Present for the tête-à-tête was Katie's constantly hovering "Scientology chaperone" Jessica Rodriguez, who, after the actress ends a soliloquy on how physically irresistible she finds her honey, helpfully prompts, "You adore him." When quizzed about how long she's been working with Holmes, Rodriguez tells the interviewer, "Oh, no, we're just best friends." And how long have they been BFF? "Oh, a while. I don't know." According to the mag, they'd met just six weeks prior.

And in a bit of transparent timing usually reserved for sappy romantic comedies, shortly after Holmes enthuses that it's "a pleasure and a privilege to be with" Cruise, a security guard arrives with a huge silver box. Inside is a Chanel diamond necklace. Screams a bling-blinded Holmes, "He's my man! He's my man!" (Note to future interviewers: Bring tranquilizer darts.)

Finally, fellow Scientology stumpers Kirstie Alley and Kelly Preston are joining Cruise in his anti-psychiatry campaign, although they haven't yet confronted Matt Lauer about the so-called "pseudoscience." "We can no longer sit back and let the clock tick, waiting for more deaths, suicides or people driven to violent acts by psychotropic drugs," the actresses, along with some doctors, wrote in a letter to the Food and Drug Administration (via Agence France-Presse). Said Alley, "Parents in particular have been misled about the effects of these drugs ... kids are using them more than street drugs to get high." (We're sure the statistics to back up this claim are forthcoming). Posited Preston, the wife of Hubbard-ite John Travolta, "Parents don't know that these drugs are turning kids into walking time bombs."

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Film star Brad Pitt was released on Wednesday from a Los Angeles hospital where he had been admitted for a flu-like illness that turned out to be viral meningitis, his spokeswoman has said.

Pitt, 41, was at home on Wednesday afternoon after his discharge and was "doing well," his publicist said in a statement.

The actor checked in to Cedars Sinai Medical Center on Monday night, a week after returning from a trip to East Africa.

Spokeswoman Cindy Guagenti said on Tuesday that the actor was undergoing tests but was believed to be suffering from influenza.

After his release, her office issued a statement saying Pitt "was diagnosed with a mild case of viral meningitis."

No further information about his condition was offered.

Viral meningitis is an illness that involves inflammation of the tissues covering the brain and spinal cord.

It is generally regarded as serious but is rarely fatal in persons with normal immune systems.

Pitt, who split up with his wife, actress Jennifer Aniston, earlier this year, traveled to Ethiopia last week with actress Angelina Jolie, his co-star in the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," who went there to finalize the adoption of a baby girl.

'Cooter' Urges Fans to Skip 'Dukes' Movie

ATLANTA (AP) - If television's "Crazy Cooter" has his way, fans of the "Dukes of Hazzard" may be speeding away from a new movie version of the cornpone classic faster than the Duke boys running from Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane.

Ben Jones, a former Georgia congressman who played the wisecracking mechanic on the popular series from 1979-85, said profanity and sexual content in the film make a mockery of the family friendly show.

"Basically, they trashed our show," said Jones, who now lives in the mountains of Washington, Va. "It's one thing to do whatever movie they want to do, but to take a classic family show and do that is like taking "I Love Lucy" and making her a crackhead or something."

Jones said he read a script of the movie, which is scheduled to be released next month, and that it contained profanity, "constant sexual innuendo and some very clear sexual situations."

On Wednesday, Jones wrote an open letter to fans on his web site, cootersplace.com, urging them to stay away.

"From all I have seen and heard, the "Dukes" movie is a sleazy insult to all of us who have cared about the "Dukes of Hazzard" for so long ... ," Jones wrote. "Unless they clean it up before the August 5th release date I would strongly recommend that true blue Dukes fans hold their noses and pass this one up."

A spokeswoman at Warner Brothers pictures, which is releasing the movie, did not immediately return phone calls seeking comment on Wednesday.

"The Dukes of Hazzard" was a surprise hit for CBS, combining with "Dallas" to earn some of the highest Friday-night ratings in television history.

The show pitted "good-ol' boys" Bo and Luke Duke and their moonshine-running Uncle Jesse against the crooked politician Boss Hogg and his bumbling henchman, Sheriff Coltrane, in fictional Hazzard County.

Reruns of the show began airing on the CMT network this year, earning some of the best ratings ever on the country music cable channel.

In the movie, Johnny Knoxville, who made his name on MTV's controversial stuntfest "Jackass," and Seann William Scott, who starred in the raunchy "American Pie" movies, play the main characters.

Pop star turned reality TV icon Jessica Simpson plays Daisy Duke.

Jones was elected to Congress in 1988 as a Democrat. He lost his bid for a third term in 1992 after his district was redrawn, then lost two other bids for House seats, one in Georgia and another in Virginia.

He owns Cooter's Place, a "Dukes" memorabilia shop in Gatlinburg, Tenn. and plans to open another in Nashville. He also is an organizer of "Dukesfest," an annual outdoor concert and convention celebrating the show in Bristol, Tenn.

A Not-So-Happy Birthday for Jessica?

If this is a day ending in 'y', it must be time for yet another story predicting doom and gloom for the endlessly chronicled union of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.

This latest tale takes place at the blond bombshell's 25th birthday party, which was held Saturday night at the L.A. home of her overly involved parents, Joe and Tina (her actual birthday was July 7). According to the New York Daily News, there was a quite a chill in the air at the star-studded celebration.

"Nick and Jessica weren't even speaking," a spywitness tells the paper. "In fact, they didn't even arrive together -- he met her there. Then, when she was blowing out the candles on her cake, he was in the back with his friends, like he didn't care."

Even worse, says the snitch, the soiree was "really lame. There was hardly any alcohol -- they nearly ran out. They're really bad at planning a party."

Well, the party planning couldn't have been that bad. The Insider reports the event attracted the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix, Wilmer Valderrama, Christian Slater, Eva Mendes, Seth Green, Mandy Moore and David Spade. Jessica's little sis Ashlee, who has lately been linked to Valderrama, was also on hand for the milestone celebration, which lasted into the wee small hours.

The 150 or so friends and family in attendance reportedly munched on a red velvet cake adorned with a winking Betty Boop and trick candles (no word on whether these bright and shiny objects confused the ditzy birthday girl). They were later sent home with gift bags spilling over with treats such as trendy jeans and vintage T-shirts, with Jessica snagging a tee bearing the likeness of her "Dukes of Hazzard" co-star, Willie Nelson.

And despite claims of their supposed frostiness at the fete, the onetime "Newlyweds" were spied tongue-wrestling in the kitchen during the bash, insists Access Hollywood.

Either way, they did share at least one touching birthday moment. The Insider says Jessica got just what she wanted from Nick: custom rims for her Range Rover. Awww.

Christian Slater Turns Down Plea Deal

Christian Slater rejected a plea bargain deal from prosecutors Thursday on a charge of allegedly groping a woman.

Slater was charged with forcible touching — a misdemeanor that carries up to one year in jail — after he allegedly walked up behind a woman and grabbed her buttocks as she was buying a soda in a small grocery store on Manhattan's Upper East Side in the early morning of May 31.

"We believe this case warrants dismissal," said lawyer Eric Franz, in turning down a proposal that Slater perform three days of community service. Under the plea bargain offer, Slater would have pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree harassment in return for the community service.

The 35-year-old actor said nothing during the brief hearing before Criminal Court Judge Richard Weinberg. Afterward, outside the lower Manhattan courthouse, he complied with a fan's request to autograph the side of her T-shirt, near the hem.

Weinberg set a date of Aug. 19 for lawyers to file any motions in the case. Slater was ordered to return to court on Sept. 19, when the judge said he would rule on the motions.

Slater, whose movies include "Heathers," "Broken Arrow" and "True Romance," told reporters he was due in London at the end of September to rehearse for his role in the play "Sweet Bird of Youth."

According to authorities, Slater and his girlfriend were arguing at a bodega on Manhattan's Upper East Side at 1:50 a.m. The complainant, who has not been identified, was in the same store. She flagged down police, who located Slater a short distance away, authorities said.

Slater was sentenced to 90 days in jail for an August 1997 incident where he reportedly bit one man in the stomach and threw a police officer against a wall during a rowdy Los Angeles party

I highly doubt this simply because it would be terrible PR for Jessica. Her people don't want her to be cast as a homewrecker! Johnny has a wife and a young child. Getting in the middle of that would do nothing positive for Jessica's career.

Malcolm in the Middle's Frankie Muniz has gotten engaged to his girlfriend, Jamie, whom he met in New Orleans this spring while shooting a movie, PEOPLE has learned.

The 19-year-old actor's publicist, Cara Tripicchio, confirmed the news to PEOPLE, adding that no wedding date has been set.

The rep declined to give out the last name of Muniz's fiancée but said she's not an actress, she's from New Orleans, and the pair met in her hometown this spring while Muniz was filming the horror movie Stay Alive, costarring The O.C. and Entourage's Samaire Armstrong.

Muniz also is continuing with his long-running FOX comedy Malcolm, which begins its seventh season this fall.

Angelina Jolie's newly adopted daughter, Zahara, was released Friday from a weeklong stay at a New York-area hospital after being treated for dehydration and malnutrition, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

"Jolie has been wonderful," says pediatrician Dr. Jane Aronson. "The baby is doing great. And most importantly they have bonded."

Jolie, 30, who adopted 6-month-old Zahara in Ethiopia earlier this month, also wants to correct a recent tabloid report that showed a photograph of a woman identified as Zahara's grandmother.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Wild Horizons For Children, the organization through which Jolie adopted the baby, says, "The photo is not the woman who they claim it is and the quotes are fabricated."

Zahara has no living siblings, according to sources. Her father is unknown, and it is assumed that her mother died of AIDS a month after Zahara was born.

"Due to devastation by war, drought and HIV, almost two million children are currently orphaned in Ethiopia," says a Wide Horizons spokesperson. "Many are being cared for by members of their extended family and community."

"I've got my heart set on a ceremony in St Paul's," she declared recently. "I've always wanted to be a princess on my big day and only a wedding in England could make that happen."

"Only royalty can marry on the cathedral floor," affirmed a representative. "You can't buy your way in, no matter how rich you are."

Jude and Sienna split?

Jude Law and Sienna Miller were believed to have broken up last night after he was accused of sleeping with his children's nanny.

The relationship between showbusiness's 'golden couple' is said to have been rocky for some time and sources close to Miss Miller say the final straw was when he blamed her for his infidelity.

The 23-year-old actress, who is appearing in As You Like It in the West End, shares a London home with Law. She was said to be in floods of tears after finding out about her fiancee's alleged affair by reading it in a Sunday newspaper.

She told friends that when she phoned 32-year-old Law to confront him he blamed her for not being devoted enough to him, saying she was more interested in her career and was always too tired for him.

'Rather than feeling guilty and contrite he has turned the whole thing against Sienna,' said one. 'He said if she is not partying she is sleeping and he completely blames her for what he has done. 'He told her, "I told you I was unhappy. I told you I needed you to be there for me. Why didn't you listen to me?" '

Miss Miller's reaction was that Law can 'go to hell'. She retreated yesterday to her mother Jo's home in the capital.

I cheated on Sienna: Jude Law

Jude Law has made a public apology to his fiancee, actress Sienna Miller, after it was revealed he has been having an affair with his children's nanny.

In a statement, Law told of his "sincere regret" over his behaviour, saying he was "deeply ashamed and upset".

The fling with 26-year-old Daisy Wright occurred in New Orleans while Law was in America filming All The Kings Men with Kate Winslet and Sean Penn in March.

Law, 32, the star of Alfie and The Talented Mr Ripley, made the following statement after the affair was revealed in the Sunday newspapers in Britain: "Following the reports in today's papers, I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I've hurt Sienna and the people most close to us.

"I want to publicly apologise to Sienna and our respective families for the pain that I have caused.

"There is no defence for my actions which I sincerely regret and I ask that you respect our privacy at this very difficult time."

The Sunday Mirror reported that one of Law's children with his former wife, Sadie Frost, found their nanny in bed with their father.The newspaper said Frost told Wright, who kept a detailed diary of her time with the actor, that her services were no longer required. The newspaper also quoted Wright as describing the tryst as "amazing".

Exhaustive descriptions from her diary follow, including "Jude was a masterful lover who made my whole body tingle." Law and Miller are said by friends to be "working through" the problems following the star's admission.

Paris Hilton might want to squirrel away some of that cash she's set to pocket for the planned fourth installment of "The Simple Life," 'cause fiance Paris Latsis may not yet be able to keep her in the lifestyle to which she's very much accustomed.

That's the claim made by Gregory Kasidokostas, the Greek shipping heir's chatty dad, who insists to Star magazine (via the New York Daily News) that his son, who recently slipped a bank-busting 24-carat diamond engagement ring on Hilton's finger and reportedly just plunked down big bucks for a Beverly Hills mansion, is "just a [college] student."

Kasidokostas, a onetime water-ski instructor who was briefly married to Paris' heiress mom (Latsis is her maiden name), says his offspring hasn't yet received a chunk of the family's estimated $7.5 billion fortune, and maintains he doesn't have the "money or the property" to throw the elaborate nuptials many are expecting.

"Even if he did have wealth of his own, it would not be in his character to be wasteful and irresponsible," Kasidokostas tells the Star.

Paris and Paris have lately been in Greece, where RadarOnline reports the attention-loving celebutante has been trying to butter up Latsis' family, especially his uncle, Spiro, who controls the clan's purse strings. Hilton's attempts to win over her future relation, according to the mag, included inviting along her party-loving galpal Tara Reid, who's globetrotting as host of E!'s "Wild On" series.

By the by, Radar says Hilton wasn't exactly bowled over by the reception she received from Latsis' relatives during the couple's first trip to Greece back in June. She supposedly complained to pals that the family would ask her opinion on topics "no one my age would ever talk about. Stuff like art and books and stuff." (While we're guessing that quote is probably apocryphal, it doesn't lessen our enjoyment level at all.)

Hilton's rep tells the magazine she "gets along with the Latsis family just fine."

SEETHING Sienna Miller was last night described as “too angry for tears” over fiance Jude Law’s affair with his children’s nanny.
The stunning actress — who has called off their wedding — is so anguished she has hardly slept, her mum Jo said.

Angry Jo spoke to The Sun after Hollywood star Jude confessed to a fling with Daisy Wright, 26.

Jo opened her heart as two-timing Jude admitted he felt like “the most hated man in Britain”.

The mum said: “Sienna is probably too angry for tears at the moment. It is anger and betrayal. Never in a million years would I have suspected that he would do that to my daughter.

“We have been speaking regularly and neither of us has had too much sleep. But she is an absolute trouper, my Sienna. She has always been very strong.”

Ex-model Jo, who is in her 50s, chatted as she strolled with a grandchild near her £1.5million house in Parsons Green, South West London. She went on: “Sienna is not with Jude at the moment. I have not heard from him and I would not expect to in the circumstances.

“She has spent the last couple of days in the country, staying with friends. I can’t comment on whether they will stay together. It is their affair. They have to work it out.”

Sienna, who dreamed of marrying Jude next year, bravely went on stage in London’s West End last night in Shakespeare’s As You Like It — and received rapturous applause at the end.

But she turned up at the Wyndham’s Theatre WITHOUT her £20,000 cluster diamond engagement ring.

An onlooker said: “Sienna looked very grim-faced. All the revelations about Jude are clearly getting to her.”

But a member of the audience said: “She was a true pro in all the scenes, which went from laughing to crying. You’d never have known that she has had to put up with so much public humiliation.”

A source close to the couple said: “Sienna is furious with Jude.

“But he is doing everything in his power to talk her round. He is desperate and is fighting to keep her.

“They had a big face-to-face meeting on Sunday night. Jude has no idea at this stage whether she will walk away from him for good.

“They were planning to get married as soon as possible but that’s the last thing on Sienna’s mind at the moment.”

Jude, 32, and Sienna, 23, met on the set of the movie Alfie and got engaged on Christmas Day.

They were free to wed after his divorce from Sadie Frost this month. But Sienna was shattered by the weekend’s bombshell news of the affair with blonde Daisy.

The nanny kept a diary of their affair as she cared for one of Jude’s three children in America in March.

She detailed romps on a pool table and told how the movie hunk was a masterful lover who “made my body tingle” during wild sex.

Jude issued a grovelling apology. He said: “I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I’ve hurt Sienna and the people closest to us. There is no defence for my actions, which I deeply regret.”

It came after The Sun exclusively revealed yesterday that he was still pursuing Daisy to continue their affair as recently as last Thursday.

He told her: “It was a lot more than just sex” — and begged to see her. But Daisy, sacked by Sadie over the affair, turned him down.

Friends of Jude said he sounded like a broken man as he agonised over the thought of losing Sienna.

One pal said: “Jude is devastated. He knows its no one’s fault but his own but wants to do everything he can to protect Sienna.

“He’s hoping that his public apology will go some way towards easing her pain. Jude feels like he’s the most hated man in Britain.

“He doesn’t know whether Sienna is going to be able to forgive him — it’s far too soon to say.

“Her reaction was like a nuclear explosion. Jude doesn’t blame her.”

Jude has left his West London home and gone into hiding.

And he poured out his anguish to his parents Peter, 61, and Margaret, 59, in a call to their holiday villa in the South of France.

Our spy says, "Nicole had been turned down by other tabloids, but OK! still wanted the pictures and, they thought, they had secured the contract." But just a day before the engagement bash at Lionel Richie's house on Saturday, OK! was notified that InStyle and People magazine had secured the rights to the party. Richie's rep, Cindy Guagenti, swears no money changed hands and adds: "Every magazine wanted the pictures, but if you're doing a wedding thing, InStyle does it best." This is not the first time People has outsmarted OK! in a photo battle. Paris Latsis' ex-girlfriend has slapped Paris Hilton - with a $10 million lawsuit.

Zeta Graff is suing the "Hilton Camp" for causing "a number of vicious lies ... to be published in the New York Post" about an incident June 1 at the London hot spot Kabaret. According to the Post, Graff "went berserk" and "attacked" Paris Hilton, attempting to pry loose a $4 million diamond necklace that had been loaned to Paris by Graff Diamonds - a company run by Zeta's ex-husband Francois Graff.

But Graff says this is all bunk. The lawsuit, filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, calls the story "baseless" and unsupported "by even a scintilla of truth." In fact, according to court papers, Hilton actually approached Graff that night and whispered in her ear: "You're a [bleep]ing [bleep]. I'm going to destroy you."

Hilton had no comment when contacted for this story.

Colin Farrell has taken legal action in a bid to prevent the sale and distribution of a tape showing him having sexual intercourse with ex-girlfriend Nicole Narain.

The actor claims that he had an agreement with Playboy star Narain which stated that the two-and-a-half-year-old tape would remain "strictly private and confidential between them."

Official documents, however, suggest that the Narain's representative, David Hans Schmidt, had the authority to 'commercially exploit the tape'.

According to Ananova Scmidt also offered to meet with Farrell to discuss the possible "commercialisation of the videotape for profit."

Farrell, however, stands by his claim that nobody had the right to distribute the tape without his consent and has asked for a court order be imposed to prevent its distribution.

Word is that James Gandolfini got so angry and frustrated on the set of "The Sopranos" Friday - apparently because he kept flubbing a line - that he smashed his fist into a plate-glass window.

According to Steppin' Out magazine's Chaunce Hayden - who spoke to an eyewitness at the "So-pranos" studio in Long Island City - "the actor got increasingly agitated and threw a temper tantrum."

Hayden reports that Gandolfini's hand began swelling after he smacked the safety glass on a hospital set.

Crew members worried that the HBO star might have to visit a real hospital for a broken hand, possibly shutting down production on the sixth season and throwing lowly stagehands out of work.

Luckily, the glass didn't shatter, and the man who plays mob boss Tony Soprano went on with the show, an HBO rep told me. "His hand is fine. He's on the set today and in a great mood."

But some crew members spent a nervous weekend.

"Everyone on the set is very upset over Gandolfini's infantile tantrum," the spy worried on Friday. "His stupidity could cost everyone their paychecks. Many people could soon be out of work for a long while because he acts like an infant."

The blue-collar "Sopranos" employees are still smarting from the memory of their docked salaries in March 2003, when the production shut down after Gandolfini - upset that HBO was offering him only $11 million for the show's fifth season - refused to report for work.

This time, it looks like Tony Soprano dodged a bullet.

Fresh from her PR victory over Hermés, daytime talk show queen Oprah Winfrey has apparently trained her sights on 20-year-old rapper Lucy Diamonds. The Louiseville-based artist says she first came to the host’s attention after recording a song entitled “Sorry Right Number,” a celeb-trashing rant in the spirit of Eminem, which features the near-rhyming couplet, “Yeah I got drunk and I finger-****ed Oprah/ I’m sorry I’m rambling, why don’t we start over.”

Winfrey apparently got wind of the song and made her objections known through an assistant, Diamonds says. But the rapper, undeterred—and clearly sensing the PR value of such a spat—refused to back down. Instead, she recorded a follow up, “Sorry Right Number II.” A sampling:

“Now I received an email from Oprah’s assistant/ Saying my career would be over in an instant/ If I released that song and put the diss in/ Oh’ you rang the bell, bitch I thought you’d go the distance…I got a Hippo from Harpo whose appetite’s hungry/ Damn Oprah, don’t you have enough money?”

The resulting controversy was enough to garner the rapper an exclusive deal with Apple to release the songs on iTunes—and a cease and desist letter from Winfrey’s attorneys. According to Diamonds, Oprah even “asked” Apple to back out of the agreement. Fearing, perhaps, an Hermés-style beatdown, the company complied without offering any explanation. Winfrey’s spokeswoman, Carly Ubersox, called Diamonds’ version of events “completely untrue,” saying that Winfrey’s production company, Harpo Inc., has “no record” of a cease and desist letter and that Oprah is not even aware of the rapper’s music. Diamonds claims she shares a close mutual friend with Winfrey, but would not elaborate. Apple reps did not return repeated calls and emails seeking comment.

Jessica Simpson's dad says that his daughter and her hubby Nick Lachey have hit some rough patches in their marriage – but that rumors of a split are dead wrong.

Joe Simpson tells PEOPLE that in fact Jessica and Nick's marriage is much like his own. "Do they fight? Hell yes, they fight. Have there been moments when Nick has wanted to leave Jessica or Jess has wanted to leave Nick? Absolutely," Simpson says.

But he's quick to add that the squabbles are not a sign of major trouble in the relationship. "(It's the) same with me and my wife. If fighting is a sign of divorce, then we're all going to get divorced. My wife and I have been married 27 years. We've been at the edge of divorce for 26 of them."

The Simpsons and the Lacheys have a secret for solving their differences, he says. "We stick together. So we laugh together. We cry together. We drink together."

Aiken’s charity isn’t that charitable

Looks like Clay Aiken’s charity isn’t terribly charitable.

Aiken co-founded the Bubel/Aiken foundation to benefit children with disabilities, but a document filed with the Internal Revenue Service revealed that of the more than $1 million the group raised last year, less than a third was handed out in grants.

More than $150,000 went for travel expenses, $173,000 for “professional services,” and nearly $150,000 for salaries. One of the reasons for the high expenses was high-profile galas held in places like Los Angeles and Hawaii.

Aiken’s rep didn’t return The Scoop’s call for comment, but his partner, co-founder Diane Bubel, told WRAL-TV in Raleigh that critics are misrepresenting the situation. “We’re volunteering and doing something good, and all we hear is complaining,” Bubel said.

Despite what she describes as a delayed case of postpartum depression after the June 13, 2004, birth of her and husband David Arquette's daughter Coco, Courteney Cox says she'd like to have another child.

"I went through a really hard time – not right after the baby, but when (Coco) turned 6 months," Cox, 41, tells USA Today. "I couldn't sleep. My heart was racing. And I got really depressed. I went to the doctor and found out my hormones had been pummeled."

Taking the steroid hormone progesterone helped Cox get through her difficulties, as did support from such close friends as Jennifer Aniston, who lives nearby in Malibu, and Brooke Shields, who famously suffered and conquered her own bouts with postpartum depression.

Having now shed her vulnerable feelings of what she terms "smallness" – and dealt with such strange suicidal urges as driving off a cliff, she says – Cox reveals that she and Arquette are hoping for a sibling for their daughter, whose expanding vocabulary now includes the words "lion," "flower" and "bellybutton."

As Cox tells the newspaper: "I look at Coco and say, 'I'm blessed. Why mess with this? Should I take any chances?' But we've got to try for a boy. We've got to have a little (boy) Arquette in the family."

A radiant Angelina Jolie was seen shopping with her 6-month-old daughter, Zahara Marley, in Calabasas, Calif., which is near the Malibu home of Brad Pitt – where the baby as well as Pitt have been recovering from recent hospital stays.

As PEOPLE reports in its new issue, just a day after picking up her newly adopted daughter in Ethiopia, Jolie began to worry something was wrong. Zahara Marley Jolie, already underweight at just 9 lbs., wasn't drinking enough formula.

Jolie took Zahara for a checkup, and wound up spending a week by her daughter's side in a New York City hospital as the baby battled a bacterial infection that, left untreated, could have been life-threatening. (Zahara's mother is believed to have died of AIDS a month after giving birth and her father is unknown.)

"Like anybody else," Jolie "was a mom who was very concerned and afraid," says Dr. Jane Aronson, the pediatrician and expert in international adoption medicine who treated Zahara.

Fortunately, after being treated with fluids for dehydration and antibiotics to combat what Aronson diagnosed as a salmonella infection, Zahara left the hospital "happy and gurgling" on July 15 with a clean bill of health. She also gained more than a pound.

Angelina, Zahara and the actress' son, 3-year-old Maddox, then flew to L.A. July 16 to reunite with another recuperating friend: They stayed at Pitt's Malibu estate as he spent the week recovering from a bout of viral meningitis.

Pitt had been with Jolie in Ethiopia when she adopted her daughter. (His malady likely has "nothing to do" with salmonella, says Aronson, who told PEOPLE that Jolie never mentioned Pitt to her.)

Mother and daughter both appeared to be feeling much better July 20, when they were spotted in Malibu at a supermarket and toy store and stopping in a Starbucks.

Meanwhile, Pitt also seems to have shaken his illness: He showed up Wednesday at the Beverly Hills Hotel to accept a $250,000 check on behalf of the Film Foundation at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association luncheon.

Courtney Love was rushed to the hospital early yesterday morning after blacking out at a Hollywood party.

"I don't quite know what happened," the rocker and actress told us yesterday afternoon from her home. "I'm still sleeping it off."

Love said that, on Wednesday night, she stopped by a party at the Roosevelt Hotel.

"It was very hot," she recalled. "I had two Diet Cokes. I started feeling really woozy. I decided to go to the private cabana that they'd given me to use. I must have fainted.

A friend called an ambulance.

I woke up at Cedars-Sinai [Medical Center] on a breathing machine. They didn't keep me there long."

Los Angeles Police Department sources said a "crime report" involving Love was taken during the early hours of yesterday morning.

One source said the report made mention of "poisoning." It wasn't clear yesterday who mentioned "poisoning" - or whether that referred to food poisoning or something more nefarious.

"I don't remember," said Love, 41. "They did some blood tests. I haven't gotten the results back."

The "People vs. Larry Flynt" star was adamant that she wasn't under the influence of any drugs.

"I didn't work for a year on sobriety to blow it," said Love, who has passed one drug test after another during 12 months of court-ordered rehab. "You have my word on that."

Signs Terry is weary

It's not easy pushing a new novel while waging a divorce battle - which may be why Terry McMillan looked a little worse for wear at a Wednesday book-signing.

"She took one look at the press line and sighed," says a witness at the Barnes & Noble Union Square. "Then she slouched down to the floor with the book ['The Interruption of Everything'] in her lap and started rolling her eyes."

The author reluctantly agreed to pose for photos, but she made it clear that she wouldn't be talking about her breakup with hubby Jonathan Plummer, who inspired her best-seller "How Stella Got Her Groove Back."

She must have gotten her second wind by the time she did an interview with BET. Having recently discovered that her husband of six-plus years was gay, she laid into the man who is now vying for a cut of her royalties.

After several hours on the dancefloor, Goldie Hawn and her daughter Kate Hudson emerged from a London nightclub looking understandably worse for wear.

And it was at this point that age began to tell.

Kate, 26, decided that 2.30am was well past her bedtime and headed swiftly back to her hotel for some sleep.

But 59-year-old Goldie is made of sterner stuff.

Despite looking a little unsteady on her feet, she ordered her driver to take her to the Groucho Club for a nightcap. Only after that was she prepared to let her evening draw to a close.

The pair were in the capital attending the UK premiere of Miss Hudson's latest film, The Skeleton Key.

'Dressed up to the nines'

They posed together outside The Vue in Leicester Square, mother in skimpy black frock and daughter in strapless, shimmering ball gown.

But rather than staying to watch the movie, the pair went for a meal at the Ivy restaurant.

Then, after Kate had changed into something more suitable for dancing, they headed for the Kabaret nightclub.

A fellow reveller said: "Kate and Goldie both looked absolutely stunning and were dressed up to the nines.

"Both had a brilliant time and really let their hair down in the nightclub, laughing, joking and dancing all night long.

"The way she was moving to a host of R & B tracks, Goldie could easily have passed for a woman half her age - one of Kate's friends in fact.

"Perhaps it was just the excitement of being in London, but it was a distinctly wobbly Goldie who emerged.

"No one could believe it when she announced that the night was still young."

I just posted this in the "Jude & Sienna" thread, but I'm baffled by the Orlando/Sienna photos. That polo tournament was held on Sunday, July 24. That's last Sunday. I saw Orlando with my own eyes that same day (around 2pm) at The Grove in Los Angeles, buying coffee at Coffee Bean. Maybe he'd just gotten off a flight?? :confused:

Anyway, I vote for those photos being innocent, too. Orlando is definitely with Kate Bosworth. They are seen together around town all the time.

Country singer Mindy McCready is recovering after being hospitalized for an overdose.

According to authorities, the 29-year-old crooner was found unconscious Friday in a Florida hotel lobby, the Associated Press reports. An incident report did not list the nature of the overdose.

A week earlier, McCready was charged in Arizona with identity theft, unlawful imprisonment and hindering prosecution.

Dennis Tomlin, who had been McCready's attorney until midday Monday, declined to comment on the singer's situation, but added earlier that McCready had gone to Florida "to visit her mother when she found out about the potential charges in Arizona. The stress got to her and she ended up in the hospital."

The recent stroke of misfortune isn't new for the singer. In May, McCready was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Last year, she pleaded guilty to illegally obtaining the painkiller OxyContin. She was fined $4,000 and sentenced to three years of probation.

Earlier this year, McCready also spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, aspiring singer Williams Patrick McKnight. In June, she told PEOPLE, "I kept making excuses for him. When you love someone, no matter how they abuse you, you feel less and less worth."

After ending the relationship with McKnight, McCready, who is best known for her 1996 country hit "Guys Do It All the Time," vowed to turn her life around: "I feel embarrassed about a lot of the decisions I have made," she said. The stunning actress also admitted that as well as eating problems, she has also struggled with obsessive compulsive behaviour, anxiety attacks and insomnia.

She told a British newspaper that the problem started when she was at school but worsened after she filmed Dark Angel in 2002, when she stopped eating and started a three-hour-a-day exercise regime.

"A lot of girls have eating disorders and I did too. I became obsessed with it."

When her weight went below seven stone and she couldn't stop shivering, she sought help.

"We are saddened to announce that we have mutually decided to separate after seven years together. Although our careers have taken us in different directions the past few years, we have a great deal of respect for one another and remain committed to raising our two children together," Burke and Fisher said in a statement issued to PEOPLE.

The couple, who have been married since 2001, have two children, Sierra Sky, 3, and Neriah, 5. Burke and Fisher are living apart but remain amicable.

Burke, 33, is currently the host of reality TV talent search Rock Star: INXS on CBS and formerly hosted E!'s Wild On. Fisher is one of the original plastic surgeons on ABC's Extreme Makeover.

The partying heiress is suffering the dilemma of being engaged to the scion of a fabulously wealthy family: her ring is too big.

“[Hilton] started complaining how heavy her 24-carat ring was and that her finger hurt,” a source tells the upcoming issue of US Weekly, which reports that fiancé Paris Latsis, heir to a Greek shipping fortune, “got her a more manageable diamond-less platinum Cartier band for everyday wear.”

The same-named couple have yet to set a wedding date, but Hilton has been eyeing gowns and a number of designer are “literally begging” to make her one, says a source.

Are Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush about to join that not-so-exclusive club of celebrity couples who have crashed and burned shortly after pledging to love each other until death do they part?

The New York Daily News claims the "One Tree Hill" lovebirds, who are both 23, are on the verge of implosion a mere three months after tying the knot in a romantic seaside ceremony.

"The marriage is all but done," an insider insists to the paper. "They are separated, and she is going to file for divorce imminently."

Not so, counters Bush's rep, who asserts to MSN Entertainment, "They are not separated." (Murray's mouthpiece tells us she doesn't comment on his personal life.)

The pulchritudinous pair, who met on the set of their WB drama, had been dating less than a year when Murray slipped an emerald-cut, pink and blue diamond-encrusted ring he helped design on Bush's finger.

The actor ran every play in the romantic rulebook for his May 2004 proposal, which took place in Australia (he was on location filming the quickly forgotten horror flick "House of Wax").

Before getting down on one knee, he reportedly filled their penthouse suite with hundreds of candles and dozens of roses and spelled out a romantic message in lights on the hotel's tennis court (the sentiment remains a secret).

"It's a really, really important moment for a woman, so I wanted to do what I could do to make it special," Murray said of his elaborate question-popping.

The co-stars' April 16 nuptials took place beneath a rose-festooned altar at a hotel in Santa Monica, with Sophia tearfully telling an equally weepy Chad, "I feel safest when I'm in your arms." The actor later called the wedding "the best day of my life."

Bosses of American Idol have hired an independent counsel to probe claims that judge Paula Abdul had an affair with a contestant on the hit talent show. Fox Entertainment president Peter Liguori, who says that the competition's credibility is "extraordinarily important" to the company, refuses to say if Fox and producers Fremantle Media and 19 Television will fire Abdul if the claims by Corey Clark, an ousted contestant, are found to be true. He says, "Any allegations against this show we take quite seriously." The probe's results will soon be made public, declares Liguori, who adds that Abdul, Clark and "corroborating witnesses" have been questioned. Clark claims Abdul advised him on his singing and appearance during their alleged relationship. In the past, Abdul has denied the allegations. Although auditions for the fifth season are looming in August, Liguori insists the investigation will not be rushed, despite uncertainty over Abdul's continued role in the show. Lindsay Lohan ditched Herbie for mommy.

The actress skipped the London premiere of Herbie: Fully Loaded Thursday, to be with her mother during her upcoming divorce trial.

British paparazzi were salivating at the opportunity to snap the tabloid-ready star on their home turf, but instead had to settle for Lohan's Love Bug costar Michael Keaton. (Herbie: Fully Loaded opens in the U.K. on Aug. 5 after a less than stellar U.S. run.)

Lohan apparently pulled out at the very last minute. Herbie helmer Angela Robinson said Lohan had returned to New York to be with her siblings and mother Dina, who is engaged in a nastly split from estranged husband Michael.

"She's having some troubles at home," Robinson told AP Television News.

"She wanted to go back and deal with her family because she had some personal stuff going on, so we definitely miss her here but I think it's best that she do that."

Michael and Dina split at the end of 2004, with Dina firing the first salvo.

"Dina believes for the good of her family and Michael's long-term goal of sobriety that the end of this marriage should happen quickly and painlessly," a family rep told the New York Post.

Among other allegations, Dina claims that Michael once tossed her down a flight of stairs and sexually assaulted her. She is seeking full custody of the couple's minor children, alimony and $1 million in damages.

Lindsay, 19, is an adult and won't be affected by the custody fight, but she is standing by her mother. In March, she publicly dissed her legally challenged father, saying he "doesn't even deserve my respect." In an interview with W magazine a month later, the younger Lohan said her father "didn't do anything for my career except go out and not come home at night."

Michael Lohan, meanwhile, disputes that. In his response to Dina's divorce petition, he said he deserves half the 15 percent Lindsay pays her mother--which could add up to $7 million a year.

Following a slew of criminal charges over the past two years, Michael Lohan was sentenced in May to as many as four years in prison.

He is currently shopping around a reality series about his woes, Living with the Lohans: Over or Starting Over.

But earlier this week, the judge overseeing the divorce case banned Lohan's request to have cameras and press in the courtroom, according to Long Island's Newsday. Family court cases are typically closed.

The trial is slated to begin next Wednesday.

Asked what direction the fourth installment will take, Liguori said that hadn't been determined yet. But both women recently have become engaged, so a show focusing on their wedding planning might be in the works, he said.

Oscar-winner Renee Zellweger has denied reports her three-month marriage to country singer Kenny Chesney is in trouble.

British newspaper the Daily Mail said on Saturday the famous couple have barely spent any time together since their wedding in May.

The 36-year-old Texan actress and 37-year-old musician married on the Caribbean island of St. John after a whirlwind four-month courtship.

"The realities of married life are hitting them both awfully hard," a source close to Zellweger said. "Renee had no idea how involved in every aspect of her life Kenny would want to be. She'd never even seen him lose his temper before the wedding, but now he seems to think he can tell Renee what to do, what to wear, where to go and who to see. He doesn't seem to like her hanging out with her old friends."

In her first interview since splitting with Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston sets straight those reports that she didn't want children and fesses up about the pain caused by Pitt's relationship with Angelina Jolie.

Aniston tells September's Vanity Fair, on stands Friday: "Am I lonely? Yes. Am I upset? Yes. Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my days when I've thrown a little pity party for myself? Absolutely. But I'm also doing really well."

Except when the topic of Jolie and Pitt possibly starting their own family comes up, and tears flow down her cheeks.

But the idea that Aniston, 36, was stalling on starting a family with Pitt, 41, gets the actress fuming. "I've never in my life said I didn't want to have children. I did, and I do, and I will!"

She's forgiving of Pitt, even though they no longer talk, and she says she believes him when he says he did not sleep with Jolie before the marriage broke up in January.

Best friend Courteney Cox chimes in to reveal that while there was no affair, "there was a connection" between Jolie and Pitt, "and he was honest about that with Jen."

Aniston says she expects their divorce to be final this fall, and she's not dismissing the idea of another marriage — with kids — in five years. "I love Brad. ... I will love him for the rest of my life," she says. And she has no regrets. "I really do hope that someday we can be friends again."

Sources say the divorce is being muzzled so as not to harm their TV show. Umm what show? The show is over. Anyway Cindy continues that is why there is no way to get confirmation anywhere.

MONTPELIER, Vt. - Crowds lined up outside the doors for the grand opening of Gesine's Confectionary where "Miss Congeniality" star Sandra Bullock was working the front counter.

The baked goods sold nearly as fast as Bullock's sister, shop owner Gesine Prado, could churn them out Tuesday in the kitchen in the back of the renovated shop.

"These are my sister's macaroons," said Bullock, wearing a white apron as she knelt next to two young children and handed out the brightly wrapped confections.

By midmorning, the display cases were nearly empty of the scones, muffins and coffee cakes they had once held.

"OK, we have three chocolate chip cookies. Big score!" Bullock said at one point. A moment later: "Oh, my God, we should raffle this. You were asking about macaroons," she said, turning to a woman standing in line. "There you go."

Prado, who operates production company Fortis Films with Bullock, decided she wanted to try a new career. So in January, she and her husband, Ray, bought a closed neighborhood market and converted it into a gourmet pastry shop and bakery.

Bullock, whose screen credits also include "Crash," "Two Weeks Notice" and the "Speed" films, recently married "Monster Garage" reality show host Jesse James.

She has been in town helping get the shop ready, then threw herself into waiting on customers.

Both sisters insist they weren't capitalizing on Bullock's fame.

"She's just trying to help," Prado said. "That was her decision to come. We didn't want publicity."

Bullock refused to talk about her role in the shop, saying the early success was about her sister and brother-in-law.

"Their quality speaks for itself," she said.

The 41-year-old actress said she wouldn't depend on the shop for a job, but would work there occasionally. "Only when I need the money," she said.

Sienna Miller may have been doubly wounded when she found out fiancé Jude Law had cheated on her: The actress is said to be carrying his baby.
Last month, the couple gathered friends and kin at their London home to announce that Miller was nine weeks pregnant, sources tell Star magazine.

Miller's bliss curdled a few days later when she opened the Sunday Mirror to read about the affair Law, 32, had with his kids' nanny, Daisy Wright, 26.

"She [and Jude had] discussed names for the baby," a friend says in Star. Now, Law "had destroyed any chance they had of bringing up the baby together."

That was Monday. TV shows and magazines called to get more since nobody was saying anything. I wouldn't offer more. All I'm saying today is, that as of this minute — late Tuesday — I have heard no shriek. Nobody complaining I'm a dumb, stupid, imbecilic idiot jerk who doesn't know what I'm slobbering about. In fact, there are small, tiny little reports flickering out that they are confirming a divorce settlement has been, in fact, "executed."

Here are two more shards of information. One: The lawyers are on the West Coast. So stop calling me on the East Coast. Call your contacts Out There. Two: While I haven't heard if this is a result of gossip about Nick having had a little extra Chia Pet on the side or on the front or wherever he had her — I have heard it was Jessica who commenced the divorce action.

The hosts of "106 & Park" are both out after five years with BET's most popular series, with one suggesting he was pushed out the door.

A.J. and Free had their last shows last week, and their exits prompted an "overwhelming" number of calls and e-mails from fans, a network spokeswoman said Monday. The popular music video and interview show, which airs weekdays for 90 minutes at 6 p.m. EST, is a cousin to fellow Viacom network MTV's "Total Request Live."

A.J. Calloway said he was told by BET executive Stephen Hill that the network's new head of programming, Reginald Hudlin, was looking to change the face of the network.

With his contract up, Calloway said he was offered a very brief extension — no more than three months. He felt he was being given a message.

"After five years of growing the show to what it is today, it was basically a no-brainer situation," he said.

Hill, BET's executive vice president for music and entertainment programming, said Calloway was never told he wasn't wanted. He would not discuss specifics of contract talks.

"His announcement to leave was a surprise because we were in the process of negotiations to retain him, as we were with Free," Hill said.

Said Calloway: "If you're trying to aggressively keep someone, you don't offer them a month-to-month contract."

Free, whose given name is Marie Wright, did not immediately respond to an e-mail message for comment.

The move prompted an outcry from fans of "106 & Park," which is continuing and may soon audition replacement VJs.

"I assumed we were going to get a number of calls, but we've actually gotten an overwhelming amount of phone calls and e-mail," said BET spokeswoman Marcy Polanco. "A lot of them have been from parents."

Hill said the two hosts "gave an amazing face to our video programming and our programming in general. A.J. and Free are stars, absolutely are stars."

Calloway said he's looking to stay in show business. He's opening a restaurant in Brooklyn this fall.

"I love and respect them for the opportunity they have given me," he said. "It's just it's a hard exit. Nothing lasts forever."

In the ongoing Dave Chappelle saga – which started in April when he walked off his Comedy Central show in order to rest up in South Africa – the latest word comes from the comedian's collaborator, Charlie Murphy.

And that word is, Chappelle's Show won't go on.

Murphy, the brother of Eddie Murphy and a writer and costar on Chappelle's Show, tells the New York Post: "I don't think Dave is going to do any more."

Not that Chappelle didn't show up for work. "We shot about eight shows for the third season," Murphy continues. "They'll be released on DVD, I'm sure. But that's it."

Murphy describes the unseen episodes as "hilarious."

Chappelle surfaced in May following a disappearance that even took his agent, publicist and network by surprise. The move led Comedy Central to suspend his show. But he told Time magazine: "I'm not crazy, I'm not smoking crack. ...I'm definitely stressed out."

Leaving behind a wife and two children in Ohio, the comedian, who turns 33 this month, said he escaped to Durbin, South Africa, for a "spiritual retreat," as he called it.

His journey, he said, was because, despite its success, he wasn't happy with the direction of his show – for which Comedy Central reportedly was paying him $50 million for two seasons. "There's a lot of resistance to my opinions, so I decided, 'Let me remove myself from this situation,'" said Chappelle.

Countering their star's claim about the show, Comedy Central president Doug Herzog told Time that Chappelle had "complete creative freedom." Herzog also said that he told his staff that he believed there wouldn't be a Chappelle's Show in 2005, but that he was leaving the option open for the comedian's return.

Herzog recently repeated the latter claim, adding, "The ball's in Dave's court," reports the Post. "If you see him, tell him to phone home."

Singer Rob Thomas and wife Marisol have had a tough couple of years. The Grammy-winning singer and his model spouse have been battling Marisol's lupus-like autoimmune disorder, but they've gotten through their "dark days" with the help of Tyler, an abused 5-year-old terrier mutt that they adopted last year.

The animal lovers picked up their brown-and-white dog from Pets Alive, a no-kill shelter on a 77-acre ranch in upstate New York. "At the time we didn't have any animals because we traveled so much," says Thomas, who reports that Marisol's health is on the upswing. "Tyler has been a godsend. My wife hasn't been well in the last couple of years and he's been a savior. He just got her through that whole process." To show their gratitude, the couple are appearing in an upcoming Discovery Channel Animal Planet special about Pets Alive.

And as for Tyler, he's now leading the jet-setting life. "If we are going overseas, we usually leave a few days early and fly him to Florida where Marisol's parents live, and pick him up on the way back," says Thomas. After returning from a recent Australian promotional tour for Thomas's platinum-selling solo album Something to Be, they decided Tyler deserved extra-special treatment. "We chartered a plane just for him, so we wouldn't have to go through the heartache of putting him under the plane in this heat." Now that's a lucky pup.

"It's already in the works," the singer, who says she is now cancer-free and "a totally healthy person," tells TV's Extra.

The two-time Grammy winner already has two children from a previous relationship: daughter Bailey Jean, 8, and son Beckett, 6.

Like the previous two kids, this new one was conceived via artificial insemination. Unlike them, however, the donor will not be friend and rock legend David Crosby. "Been there, done that," Etheridge, 43, tells the show in an interview slated to run Wednesday night.

Etheridge also says that Michaels, 31, was instrumental in her battle against cancer. "At the end of the whole thing when it was over I came home to a bouquet that said 'in sickness and in health' and she means it. And the love and support of someone like that is worth all the money in the world," says Etheridge.

The singer stopped the show at last February's Grammy Awards ceremony with her rendition of Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart" – and with her shorn locks, which she lost before starting chemo.

But if Etheridge's baldness was a startling reminder of the breast cancer she was diagnosed with last fall, her high spirits were an indication of how well she was recuperating, PEOPLE reported.

"I'm feeling great," Etheridge said at the time. After having two lumpectomies in one breast at the end of October, she completed a two-month course of chemotherapy at the end of December. She followed with radiation treatments a few times a week that ran through the end of March.

Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria reportedly threw a hissyfit outside a Los Angeles nightclub when she and boyfriend Tony Parker couldn’t get in.

“She was demanding to be let in immediately,” an “onlooker” tells the upcoming issue of In Touch Weekly. “She was telling the doorman that she was a celebrity and wouldn’t wait. But she was told, ‘You’re no exception here. You have to wait in line behind the other 100 people.’”

The diva fever reportedly continued into the next day when, throwing out the ceremonial pitch for the Los Angeles Angels, Longoria turned up her nose at the stadium’s bottled water and insisted on Evian.

Longoria’s spokeswoman insists that the nightclub incident has been misinterpreted, telling the Scoop: “She would never do that. She’s very easy going that way. [The club] was at capacity. She was there with three other people and didn’t know whether they could get in so she decided to forego it.” What about the water scandal? Congrats to them, but again another celebrity making a boy's name into a girl's name. I don't mind a lot of the names which have become appropriate for either gender, but I just think Owen is definitely a boy's name. It's actually one of my choices if DH and I have a son someday- may have to rethink that if most of the Owens in his class are little girls!

Back in May, one of our sources joked that the only way Star could abort their bogus Demi Moore pregnancy crusade would be to concoct a fake miscarriage story. Turns out they were right. Although editorial director Bonnie Fuller ultimately had the National Enquirer do the dirty work, Star was also set to print an article about the actress’s tragic “baby loss”—but pulled the piece at the last minute after the New York Daily News’ Gatecrasher column questioned whether there had ever been a baby to lose.

“Star was going to follow up the Enquirer ‘exclusive’ with its own story claiming Demi had given premature birth to a stillborn five-month-old boy over Memorial Day weekend,” says a tabloid whistle-blower, who slipped us a copy of the killed spread, slated for the August 15 issue on stands last week.

The somber three-page article praises Moore and supposed baby daddy Ashton Kutcher for “carry[ing] on” in the face of their fake miscarriage, then speculates that the imaginary tragedy could either “bring them together or pull them apart.” To ease the grief of America’s supermarket shoppers, the story has the couple recovering from the nonexistent blow by spending “several weeks in seclusion, healing as a twosome.” The caption on a photo of Kutcher, Moore and her three daughters adds bittersweet reassurance that “Ashton can still be a ‘dad.’”

“The pages were done, laid out, and sent to press on Friday,” says our insider. “But suddenly last Monday, the story was pulled. No one would say why. It just disappeared. But everyone thinks that either Bonnie got spooked by the Daily News item or the Enquirer got a nasty legal letter from Demi’s attorneys. Or both.”

AMI spokesman Stu Zakim explained that the only reason the story was yanked was because “Star’s policy is not to report on miscarriages. It’s an invasion of privacy.”

Considering the article was reported (it carries six bylines), laid out, and all but ready to be printed, Fuller should probably send out a memo.

The Killers' frontman Brandon Flowers married longtime girlfriend Tana Munblowsky on Aug. 2, his record label has announced.

The "small, intimate wedding" was held in Hawaii, where the band was on vacation, said Island Records. The rest of the Killers as well as friends and family members "helped the couple celebrate" afterward, according to the label.

Munblowsky works as a retail manager in the band's hometown of Las Vegas, MTV News reports.

Flowers, 24, joined The Killers by answering an ad placed by guitarist David Keuning in the Las Vegas Weekly, requesting a vocalist with the aim of forming a band. The two were then joined by Mark Stoermer on bass and Ronnie Vannucci on drums.

Dana Reeve has cancer

Dana Reeve, the widow of beloved actor Christopher Reeve, is said to have been diagnosed with lung cancer.

The courageous 44-year-old singer and stem-cell activist has already begun treatment for the illness, according to the National Enquirer.

Reeve's agent did not return calls last night, but one friend sadly corroborated the story. "I don't want to talk about it," the pal told us. "It's horrible and bizarre. I was just with her a couple of weeks ago."

Reeve, who doesn't smoke, canceled a July 13 appearance in Washington, D.C., in support of stem-cell research because of "family reasons."

Reeve, who lives in Westchester County with her 12-year-old son, Will, assumed chairmanship of the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation after her husband's death last October.

Singer Marc Cohn Shot in Denver

Singer Marc Cohn, best known for his 1991 hit "Walking in Memphis," was shot Sunday in Denver, according to the Denver Police department.

Per a DPD statement released Monday, Cohn was shot in the head late Sunday during an attempted carjacking near the city's convention center.

Cohn is said to be recovering after doctors successfully removed a bullet from his temple.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, who is married to ABC News' Elizabeth Vargas, is expected to make a full recovery.

Vargas is in Colorado with her husband, who has already been released from Denver's Health Medical Center.

"All of us at ABC News are thinking of Marc and Elizabeth at this time and wish Marc a speedy recovery," an ABC News publicist said in a statement released to E! Monday. "The good news is that he will be fine. Elizabeth has made her way to Denver to be with Marc, and they are likely to return to New York soon."

Cohn, who was in Denver to play a sold-out concert at the city's botanical gardens, was allegedly shot by a man named Joseph Yachteen, according to police.

Police have released a picture of the suspect, in addition to the license-plate number of the car he was last seen in, to local media--they hope to have him in custody soon.

Yachteen is suspected of attempting to carjack Cohn's vehicle. The 26-year-old reportedly fired a single shot into the singer's rented van in the process of the unsuccessful vehicle boost, grazing the driver (Cohn's road manager Thomas Dube) and seriously injuring Cohn after they refused to unlock the van door for the suspect.

Both Dube and Cohn were treated and released for their respective bullet wounds after driving away from the armed suspect.

Cops nearly arrested Yachteen yesterday for crimes allegedly committed earlier Sunday, but he slipped away by fleeing on Denver's Stout Street, which intersects with the city's 16th Street Mall.

He was last seen carjacking a Subaru Forester at 14th and Stout, where he allegedly forced four white males out of the car.

An arrested warrant has been issued for Yachteen, who is wanted for first-degree attempted murder and multiple aggravated robbery charges.

Jennifer Aniston has reportedly a night at a hotel with Hollywood heartthrob Vince Vaughn - fuelling rumours of a romance between the pair.

The former 'Friends' beauty is said to have spent the evening at the Four Seasons hotel in Chicago, where her 'The Break Up' co-star Vince is staying. The actress was spotted sneaking back to her suite at the swanky Peninsula Hotel in the early hours of the morning.

However, last month, hunky Vince denied he was dating Jennifer, who split from husband Brad Pitt earlier this year, and insisted the pair were just good friends.

He said: "Jennifer's a sweet girl but she's very vulnerable right now and has been through a really hard time I know people would love it if we were dating, but we're not".

Jennifer's spokesperson has also rubbished the rumours.

Sweden's lovely young princesses Victoria and Madeleine made a pretty picture in pink and blue summer gowns topped off with tiaras when they attended the wedding of Prince Manuel von Bayern and Princess Anna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg.

Their parents, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, were among the 300 or so guests, as was Gunilla von Bismarck. The wedding took place this weekend at Stigtomta in the Sodermanland region west of Stockholm, and occasional showers failed to deter well-wishers from lining the roads to catch a glimpse of their princesses.

The rain in no way dampened the spirits of the guests, either - the largely aristocratic and royal gathering warded off the drizzle with brightly coloured umbrellas as they flung rose petals over the bridal pair when they emerged from the church.

The afternoon ceremony, which was followed by an evening reception, was conducted by two priests - one a Swedish Lutheran and the other a Catholic, to reflect the bride and groom's different faiths.

Princess Anna's great-uncle, Prince Richard, is the current head of the house of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. He is married to Princess Benedikte of Denmark, who is the sister of Queen Margrethe, and the daughter of the late Princess Ingrid of Sweden. Anna's 32-year-old groom, Prince Manuel, is the son of Prince Leopold of Bavaria.

"Creating a cultural icon out of someone who goes, 'I'm stupid, isn't it cute?' makes me want to throw daggers," says Reese. "I want to say to them, 'My Grandma did not fight for what she fought for, just so you can start telling women it's fun to be stupid.'"
I don't know who Reese Witherspoon's grandma is and I don't know what she fought for, but if it stood in the way of Jessica Simpson's right to be a stupid blonde then I'm totally against it. One of the reasons America is so great is that all women have the right to be as stupid and as slutty as they want. If a big breasted woman wants to show off her body and pretend she can't tell the difference between fish and chicken, then good for her. As long as it doesn't get in the way of her baking me pies in the kitchen then I really don't care. But once those pies stop coming, you better believe I'm going to write some letters to Congress. Long letters. With exclamation marks. If a woman doesn't belong in the kitchen baking pies then where does she belong? At the work place? With men? The idea is so preposterous that it makes me laugh just to think about it.

Reese was being interviewed in Marie Claire, and it was Marie Claire that actually inserted the Jessica Simpson remark. Granted, it is a little obvious who she is talking about, I don't understand why Marie Claire inserted the names so that tabloids can make this 'Jessica Simpson/Reese Witherspoon' fued.

I think it totally undermines that actually very good article in this month's issue.

ETA: So, I don't actually know if the direct attack on the Jessica is Reese's words. It just doesn't seem like her style.

Reese was on one of those news magazine shows (ET, Inside Edition, I'm not sure which) last night and commented on that article. She said she was taken totall out of context. She said she was actually very angry about how she was portrayed and does actually like Jessica Simpson.
I was super surprised that Marie Claire had put that in the article. She was going along in her interview, then they put this sentence in there about JS and Paris Hilton. Then, they went back to her quotes. I was peeved, b/c I had already seen a headline about the 'feud' and knew immediately what they were doing.

In the article, she mentioned this... she said something to the extent that she'll take roles where she can still be feminine and sexy, but still show a very strong female role. She won't take roles where the female is just there for looks and stupid comments. If you look at her movies (Legally Blonde, Election (I think that's the name??), Sweet Home Alabama, etc.), she plays a strong female role in all of them, but she still is that sweet, feminine character at the same time.

I think the character was perceived as a dumb blonde by the other characters but had inner strength & intelligence and thus was able to succeed when she really put her mind to something. I think the misconception was an integral part of the character/movie.

Man Arrested in Cohn Shooting

A man suspected of shooting singer-songwriter Marc Cohn during an attempted carjacking has been arrested after a stand-off with police. The Grammy-winning "Walking In Memphis" singer was allegedly shot in the temple late on Sunday by Joseph William Yacteen, who is believed to have fired into the star's band's van in a Denver, Colorado, parking garage. Cohn, who is married to US newswoman Elizabeth Vargas, was treated at a hospital and released the following day. He cancelled the remaining five stops of his tour with Suzanne Vega. The bullet grazed Cohn's driver and tour manager Thomas Dube, who also was treated and released. Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says the bullet appeared to have been slowed by the van's windshield and by Dube before hitting Cohn. Jackson admits, "Frankly, I can't tell you how he survived." Police arrested Yacteen late on Monday outside a vacant house where he had holed up for hours, negotiating with police. The stand-off ended when he was forced out by tear gas, pointed a gun at officers and was shot with a non-lethal rubber ball. Yacteen, 26, was being held on suspicion of attempted murder, robbery and other charges. In their first official outing together, Ledger and his Dawson's Creek star girlfriend Michelle Williams stepped out yesterday with tummy bulging - and a big diamond ring on her engagement finger - at the Los Angeles premiere of the dad-to-be's upcoming flick, The Brothers Grimm.

The part-time Sydney couple saved their big revelation - the baby and the ring - for the red carpet affair at Directors Guild of America Theatre in Los Angeles where Ledger and his co-star Matt Damon stole the show.

It is the first time the couple have openly showed their baby in the making, with Ledger refusing to admit the pregnancy ever since Confidential first revealed Williams was attending pre-natal yoga classes in Bondi.

Williams spent the early part of the year in Sydney with Ledger where she attended the classes and read baby books at Bondi beach, but is planning on having the child, due in November, in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, renovations on Ledger's beachside apartment in Bronte continue.

A source from Ledger's Perth-based family yesterday confirmed the pair were getting married but would not reveal when. The Brothers Grimm opens in Australia on November 10.

Simmons, wife of hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, had also faced drug possession charges after officers found a small amount of marijuana in her car. She was arrested outside the couple's Saddle River estate.

Bergen County prosecutors agreed to allow Simmons into the county's pretrial intervention program for nonviolent first offenders. She pleaded guilty Tuesday in Superior Court to careless driving. If she successfully completes the program, all the charges will be dropped.

"This is certainly an aberration, a one-time mistake of judgment," Assistant Prosecutor Wayne Mello said. "It's precisely the circumstance that pretrial intervention was created for."

Simmons' lawyer, Brian Neary, called the case "an unfortunate incident."

Simmons, a former model, is the creative director of the Baby Phat clothing label.

Meanwhile, Simpson will attempt to put her "Saturday Night Live" lip-synching humiliation behind her by singing about it on two songs on her upcoming release, "In Another Life," reports MTV. "There's no way to get away from mistakes," dad Joe Simpson tells the music channel of the ditties "Beautifully Broken" and "Who Will Help Me When I Fall." "There's no way to run away from failure because in everyone's life, you're going to meet it." On an ickier note, he says of the CD, "This record is about [Ashlee] discovering herself as a 20-year-old woman."

The London Mirror reports Daisy Wright will soon grace U.S. couch potatoes with her presence by dishing about her month-long dalliance with the actor on "Extra," "Good Morning America" and, oddly, "The Tyra Banks Show." As for the state of Law's relationship with Sienna Miller, the British tabloids are predicting a reconciliation.

Is Russell Crowe a big ol' softie? The crankypants Oscar winner evidently took time out of his busy schedule of hurling phones at hotel workers to make an old woman very happy. On Saturday, Crowe helped chase down the senior citizen's furry white pooch, which had escaped from its leash, says Australia's Daily Telegraph. Not only did he return the dog to the relieved owner but he also fixed its collar.

In an incident that doesn't bode well for the privacy of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's impending arrival, a paparazzo was reportedly nailed in the leg by a pellet gun while staking out the Malibu house where the swelling pop tartlet was enjoying her baby shower. Britney's security staff has denied any involvement in the shooting, for which shutterbug Brad Diaz was treated with a Band-Aid and a trip to the hospital. "If there's anything below minor, that's what the injury was," a blasé member of the L.A. County Sheriff's department tells the Los Angeles Times. And finally, after 43 years of partnership, Keith Richards is still way cooler than Mick Jagger. "Mick has to get up in the morning with a plan. My best friend's coworker just had a run-in with Sarah Jessica Parker! I had shared with her the pics that were posted earlier this week of her & Matthew M. on the Chesapeake. I guess they did some research and found out that they were filming today in Annapolis so she went down there. Here's what she told me:

"She went downtown and saw SJP, spoke with her and got her autograph on a Sex and the City book..... she said she was very nice, very petite..... and took time at her lunch break to come over and talk to the fans that had gathered..... they are supposed to be shooting until around 5 tonight.... they are by Harry Browns and the Paws dog store....."

According to an insider, Paris Hilton has refused to appear on Wild On with Tara Reid and has repeatedly asked the cameras to stop filming her. The insider says, "Tara has been following Paris with a camera. Paris keeps asking her to stop, but she won't put the camera away." Supposedly, E! producers wanted to open Tara's show with scenes of her partying with Paris, but the source adds, "That's not going to happen, Paris won't sign the release forms."

This is a smart move on Paris Hilton's part, since being seen on TV with Tara Reid might give the impression that she's a slut, and not the obviously respectable business woman that she is.

According to Page Six, Matt LeBlanc is making a truly bizarre confession in this week’s National Enquirer—and we say “bizarre” not only because LeBlanc is cooperating with the tabloid, but because he makes the activities of a pretty standard lap dance sound as strange and unexpected (“Why does the naked lady keep pushing her boobs in my face???”) as a baby elephant in a tutu beating him off in the champagne room:

It certainly feels as if a trap has been set. What kind of dirt must the Enquirer have on Joey to get him to play along with this (pretty harmless) story? It wasn’t that long ago that LeBlanc had to publicly deny the same magazine’s report that he had a soft spot for cruising around in a limo and picking up gay hustlers. Maybe they’ve got incriminating security camera footage of Dumbo administering that trunkjob.
