We do! Just bought a 2-bedroom condo last week! And yes, we know we're crazy. But what can you do? We both work in central Westchester, and I work nights - don't want to drive an hour each way, you know?

We do. I grew up in, and still work in, another of the most expensive places - right next door in Fairfield County, CT. Westchester is our compromise between DH's job which requires him to live in NY state and mine in southern Fairfield County.

I was born and raised there, although I no longer live there. My entire family (parents, aunts/uncles, cousins, brother) lives in WP. Actually, that is not entirely true as my cousin lives in Katonah. The only people to move away were my 2 sisters and myself. I go back 2x a year to visit and I've definitely noticed how WP has changed over the last 10 years (since I left for college in CT). Actually I have to go back in November for my HS reunion at some place called Trotter's I think.

We just bought a house in Pelham. We're closing in mid July and I can't wait to get there. We are currently living in DC and I grew up in CT so I'm looking forward to getting home.

Hey ladies,
I'm on the periphery, but I hope you'll let me join anyway. I grew up in Dutchess County, currently live in Rockland County, and will possibly move to northern westchester or Putnam county in the next few months depending on whether a job change comes through for me.

I'm impressed with anyone who can afford to buy a house/condo in this area. DH and I are a bit frustrated with the housing market. If we move back to dutchess cty we can afford a nice condo, but currently, DH's job is in Bergen, so we're trying to figure out what to do!

At any rate, I'm pleased to meet you all, and i'm subscribing to this thread!

i'm in Lower Westchester..near harrison/white plains. Love the area..very price for real estate..we are in a town house now but hope to buy a house in the next 5 years or so.. The school system is great..which makes us wantto raise our kids here rather than moving elsewhere.

Hi ladies! I've lived in Westchester for 5 years, first in Pleasantville and now (for the last 16 months) in our very own house in Cortlandt Manor. My DH grew up in Yorktown Heights. We both work in Manhattan.
