She was my baby and I love her very much. She lives at my mom's bc thats where she has been for forever. Well, my mom went away for the weekend and when they came home, Alexa (my 3 year old little sister) found Baby Cat not breathing in the laundry room near her food bowl :( It's so sad. I miss her like crazy and can't stop crying.

I used to do this thing where I would kiss her head and smell her at the time. I have always remembered her smell and now I can't do that anymore :( I didn't even get to say goodbye. I hope she knew I loved her even though I left her at my mom's when I moved out.

And I have this blanket that I have had since I was a baby and it was the only blanket that she would "knead" like bread with her paws. I wish she would have got to do that one last time.

I want to say a nice poem or prayer for her when I go to visit her grave tonight. Any ideas?

TIA.

Jess

I am also upset that she died alone...with no one home to comfort her. Poor baby :(

I'm so sorry for your loss. :( Maybe you could read the Rainbow Bridge poem to her? I know many people find that comforting.

I hope my kitties live to be 19 years old :(

I'm sure she knew that you loved her when you left her at your Mom's. That's why you left her there, you did what was best for her.

I'm happy that your kitty got 19 long years here with you and your family. I'm sorry you had to lose her so unexpectedly without anyone around. I'm sure she knew she was a part of your family and very loved. I would also recommend The Rainbow Bridge to read at her grave tonight. Although, it is a major tear jerker for me.

You and your kitty will be in my thoughts. :)

Oh my, I am so sorry for your loss :(
Some people just don't understand how painfull losing a pet can be. I am sure she knew you loved her, and that she had led a comfortable life until her death. {{{hugs}}}

Thank you everyone for the kinds words. I still can't stop crying. I am ok for a little while and then I just burst out and can't stop. I went to her "room" at my mom's house and just broke down. I missed seeing her there :( I saw her litter box and food and it made me really sad.

I went to her grave and read that poem to her and also read her a letter that I wrote for her earlier...and cried some more.

I was looking thru old pics and I found a pic of her dressed up in a diaper and baby clothes. Made me laugh and cry all in the same. I want to frame it. (I used to dress her up when i was little...)

I've never had a close pet die on me before so this is all very new for me...it sucks :( I miss my baby....

Reading that just made me tear up a bit -- I used to do that with my pets, too. I'm sorry for your grief, but it's understandable. She was part of your life for a very long time, for most of your life, in fact. She was a very lucky kitty to be loved so well.

I am so very sorry! I hope that you can remember all the good times. I know it's hard, but feels good to remember those and know, that they knew, that you loved them. Here's what I found...didn't read them all, but maybe one or two would help. No worries, your baby knew that you loved her.

My love to you and to your family. May your kitty rest in the arms of the Lord who made her until she can play with her human family again.

I am so sorry about your loss! You must be pretty sad and upset. Though, you obviously took such good care of her and gave her a good home if she lived 19 years!
