I often bake food in pyrex dishes to bring to potlucks and wanted to write my name on my dish so I knew which one it was. Is there some sort of device or heat-proof pencil that allows you to do this and can be washed off if needed?

Thanks :)

Have you tried a Sharpie marker? :)

nail enamel! it works really well, is bright, and doesn't flake off. I didn't write my name on stuff, but made a little circular shape in bright pink, a beauty cast off!

Yes, I used Uni-Paint Oil-Based Paint Marker on my pyrex in college and it's still marked 7 years later. It's also completely unremovable on tupperware.
