Question about Volo

For those of you with the Maclaren Volo...I posted this in the stroller thread but nobody has responded yet, and we're going on a road trip tomorrow and could really use some help (I've only used our snap 'n go and bugaboo up til now)

Is there a size minimum? DS is 17.5 lbs and 29 inches, and the Volo straps seem way too big, even at the smallest settings. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong b/c he doesn't seem very secure in the seat.

I did order the liner but haven't gotten it yet, and am hoping that will "boost" DS up a bit so he fits better.

Any suggestions?

the only minimum that i know of is 6 months. i think my DD was 18lbs and 28" when i first put her in it. i felt like it was sturdy enough but she did slouch a little bit until recently. i actually didn't really like this stroller until she got big enough to make the seat "sink" around 20lbs or so but you should be fine.

That's how it was for my DD when we first used it. It still worked okay and you might see if you can jimmy a way for the straps to be shorter by connecting them behind the seat with a cable tie or something until your son grows into it a little more. That's what I did!
