I got my DD some 18-month sized shorts from target and old navy, and I hate them. They are so short that her diaper sticks out the leg holes, and it looks terrible. Does anyplace sell shorts that have more than a 1" inseam?

My DS has shorts from both Childrens place and Gymboree and they are long on him. Its worth a try!

Maybe try boys' shorts? I find boys' shorts to be SO much longer than girls'!!!!

I was going to say boy shorts, too. I think little girls & little boys are about the same shape at this age, so it should work. All my sons shorts come at least to his knees.

Get some boy shorts. I got my DD a pair of camo boy's shorts at Target and they are way longer on her! I could have probably gone down a size too for a better fit.

I'll take a peek in DD's shorts drawer when I get home and see if any are longer.

I know she got a pair for her b-day that were from Target. They are longer jean shorts (yet not capris) with a multi colored (I want to say green, yellow and reddish pink?) belt. I'll look when I get home :) You could always get some boys shorts and get them shortened a tiny bit so that they are exactly "boy" shorts ;)

AHA!

Looks like Old Navy might have some. These are from their site, so who knows if they are the same in person.......

These come in tons of other colors too. Hopefully they are the same in person. I work in the apparel industry and know that lots of things are photoshopped to look better ;)

i got some cute ones at old navy, but i don't see them on the site anymore, they go down to her knees. also, if you're near a naartjie - http://www.naartjie.homestead.com/, they have some cute long ones, too and they're super cheap.

Wow, thanks, everyone! This is great. Wish I hadn't already bought her like half a dozen pair, though. It never occured to me that the boy's shorts would be longer!

The boys' shorts are so long that it is crazy. They all come below my son's knees and I think sometimes he trips because of it. I had to buy him shorts in the 9 mos. size just so that they wouldn't be so huge and baggy. I actually put him in a pair of 3-6 mos. shorts that he wore last summer and they were so long and baggy that they fit! He wore them to his first birthday party!
